Dr. Poggio and all the staff are amazing. I have been coming here for the past two years, to prepare for jaw surgery and Dr. Poggio worked closely with my surgeon to ensure everything was excellent. I cannot express it enough they are top notch amazing.Update: I officially completed my almost four years of treatment and appointments. I am so happy with everything, everyone here is amazing and have done a wonderful job. I highly recommended coming here. You will not regret anything.
We are at the end of my son (Donovan) time with braces, this has been the best experience from beginning to end. Today everyone was just as excited as we are to have his braces removed. From the front office to the back office EVERYONE is amazing.You will not find a better orthodontist in this area, they are the best. Paula is definitely my girl there she helps me so much with motivating me and so does Dr. Poggio. They’re both amazing and take wonderful care of you during your treatment. I had a lot of trouble wearing my aligners, but they really help me a lot and my teeth are on the way to confidence!
Everyone in office took time to explain all details and answer our questions. Much appreciated to the time the office gave us. Never felt rushed or that our questions and concerns were invalid. It was our first appointment and probably not our last.
I have been going to Otay Lakes for over 10 years and I could not be more satisfied. The staff makes you feel like family, and every visit you are cared for and treated with kindness. Even though I live about 30 minutes away, I would never consider another place because of how exemplary their service is.
Dr. Poggio and her amazing team are wonderful! I recommend them to anyone of all ages. My whole family got all there ortho work and we are all more than satisfied with our outcome. We had lots of options great payment plan and the front desk is so hopeful in rescheduling appointments.
We LOVE Otay Lake Orthodontics! From the second you walk in the staff is super nice. We never have to wait long. The staff is great at scheduling. Dr. Poggio is a honest person and is amazing with her patients. I would 100% recommend Otay Lake Orthodontics.
The service was good. I honestly enjoyed working with the gal who took my photos. I had made an appointment to replace my upper retainer ONLY. I gave two stars because I was told that if I took x-rays, it was complimentary because it was my first visit. I said to Lola that I would do them as long as I dont have to pay for them. She said OK and I took x-rays. After my exam, I got an estimate that had two charges and I was told that the larger amount included new patient services, my top retainer and a follow up appointment. This amount was $135 more than what I paid for both my top and bottom retainer at another orthodontist but for the sake of convenience, I agreed to proceed. When I was checking out, my total was almost $600! I was told that the two amounts are added and that the x-rays were included in that amount because its only complimentary to new patients that do not get service. There was no total amount on the estimate I was given, nor was it explained that I would have to pay both amounts. Bottom line is that I would have NEVER paid almost $600 for only a top retainer when I could get top and bottom retainer for $225 plus a 20 min drive.
After interviewing a few different orthodontists in the area, we decided to go with Dr. Poggio. Everyone in the office is very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with personal attention Dr. Poggio gave my daughters. She made them feel at ease and explained everything in detail. The outcome is amazing. I am very happy our whole experience and would recommend Dr. Poggio to anyone.

I just had my last appointment ever with Dr. Poggio and the team today. I have been seeing them for 5 years since I am an adult who went with the Invisalign path and my smile took a while to correct. Every single time I walked in, it felt like family. Everyone is super helpful and accommodating. Great office and they take proper precautions for Covid. Because of this, we will be doing my daughter’s ortho treatment with them, myself included!

After many years of treatment from these very professional, passionate, and experienced orthodontists, my experience went wonderfully from beginning to end. The atmosphere was friendly, there was never a time where I didnt want to go (unlike my dentist), and it was clear that the status of my teeth was their number 1 priority. Procedures would be done with the utmost precision and there was never any instances where pain was a problem. Dr. Val Poggio and her co workers are all amazing when it comes to their work and how they treat their customers. Every time i come to visit for a check up or to drop my sister off they welcome us with a smile and actually wonder how our day has gone or what we have done on the weekend, it just adds that extra happiness of being there with that kind of atmosphere. Even when they get down to business they know what they are doing, what to fix and how to fix the problem, and im pretty sure thats all the parents want! Theres also a game room for the younger kids to play in and if you look around, youll notice that theres a bunch of picture frames all over the office with people who have had their braces done here by Poggio. Its an amazing place to get your teeth fixed i recommend Val Poggio to anybody that wants their braces done, shes just fantastic!

Dr.Proggio office is a great place if you ever need to get any Orthodontic work done your teeth!I was 17 and a senior in High School when I got my braces and got them off about 2 months earlier than I was planned. When I had braces on people couldnt really tell I had braces at all because they were so small. I loved it! When i came in to get braces tighten only took less than 10 min to get everything done and on top of that NOT one time out of the 2 years I had my braces I bleed when I got my braces tighten. That was my biggest concern when getting braces but I didnt have to worry about that because Dr. Proggio and her team did a great job!!!Now the real reason I am reviewing this is because I am now 20 years old and go to college. The other day at school when I was studying for my college finals in the library, I had 4 people throughout the day come up to me to tell me how amazingly white my smile was and how I have such a nice smile! It legit made my day/week/month/year/LIFE!!!So the moral of this review is if you need any orthodontic work you NEED to go to Dr. Proggio office because the people there give great service not just to a persons teeth but in an overall experience and make you feel comfortable which is always great when your getting work done on your teeth!!!

A beauty of Doctor! So patient with my eight year old girl who goes happy to his consultations and without fear. He takes the time to explain all the procedures in a simple and clear way. Its first class offices, cozy and clean and always with details that reassure. Marco attended to my girl for the first time and only heard the laughter of my girl, that to me as a mother makes me happy, knowing that they make pleasant moments that can be painful. The receptionists always receive with a nice sincere smile. 101% recommended. And the prices and financing plans are excellent! 2022-08-04I have never had such a positive experience at an orthodontist before! First off they were able to get me in for an appointment way sooner than I expected. I had to take my 15M old daughter with me and they were all so patient and understanding. Giving her paper and crayons to color and letting her stay with me every step of the way. The doctor and staff were all amazing and I left feeling like there was a solid plan and had no questions. They do not pressure you to do treatments and took the time to explain everything. 100000% recommended!!

2022-07-2110/10 I would absolutely recommended this office if you are looking to get any orthodontic work done. The level of patient care is absolutely amazing and unlike anything I’ve experienced before! I chose this office to inquire about Invisalign because it was close to home and had some excellent reviews. The great reviews are definitely well deserved. The entire experience feels extremely personal to the point that I am greeted by my first name when I walk in! This may sound funny but I actually look forward to my appointments here. It’s such a calm and relaxing environment and all of the employees I’ve interacted with are absolutely amazing. If anyone asks me I will definitely be recommending Otay Lakes Orthodontics & Dr. Poggio.

2022-07-28Knowledgeable, honest, well-explained, not pushy at all. Reception staff is super courteous. Office manager is cordial and explains in detail. Dr. Poggio is sweet and to the point. Overall, great experience, left feeling at ease. Weve visited other ortho offices in the area that claim they are super, and fall very short of that. I am glad we found Otay Lakes Orthototics.

2021-11-09Dr. Poggio and her staff are amazing. They are always so kind; both when in-office and on the phone. My oldest son started orthodontic treatment with Dr. Poggio in 2017, and when he finished his braces in 2019, I started Invisalign. It has always been a great experience.
