I received the most exemplary service from everyone at Option One Solar. Ashton, who helped me decide on the scope of my solar, thoroughly answered all my questions and actually took me around the office and introduced staff to me. I felt like part of the family. Allisun handled the financial aspect and was most accommodating and understanding when special circumstances arose. Natasha was my project manager and I couldnt have asked for anyone better. She was always professional and personable. She was conscientious and responded so quickly to any questions I had. She kept me apprised of what was happening next and what would happen throughout the installation process. If I had a daughter, I would want her to be like Natasha. She was an absolute delight to work with. Although I dont remember names of all those who worked on my project, everyone worked diligently and exhibited care and concern about me and the job they were doing. I believe employees reflect the values and attributes of the company, and I dont think theres a solar company that is more honest and caring about the customer and has such an excellent product as well. I highly recommend Option One Solar.
Exceptional service and great team to work with. Every person on their team I spoke with was knowledgeable, helpful and communicative. All of my questions and concerns were addressed, and they went above and beyond to help with financing and scheduling the actual install. Installation folks were very respectful and helpful as well. My neighbor recommended Option One Solar to me after they completed a solar install. I then went out to bid with several other companies to verify the positive experience my neighbor gave to me. On the surface, I was going to chose another cheaper provider until I realized that the panel and microinverter quality was vastly superior from Option One. When I did the math, I was actually generating nearly 40% more energy with the same number of panels and just a 10% higher cost for install! Dont just buy solar panels based upon installed cost per panel!!!!I found the Option One salesperson (Ashton) to be very knowledgeable, helpful and honest. I do my homework and feel I pushed him to his limits with my questions, but he came through with flying colors each time. He was also very responsive which is extremely important to me.I cannot recommend the installation and customer service teams more highly! They were always easy to get a hold of and I did not have to wait long for answers. I even had one issue where a panel was not functioning correctly. It was a challenge for them as every component seemed to be working fine and even they were confused as to the cause of the issue. They determined after a few days of testing different solutions that it was simply a bad wire connector (who knew!), but they kept at it without deferring the problem to the panel or microinverter companies which I appreciated.This is my second house where I installed solar and I just wish I had known about Option One Solar for my first installation! I cannot recommend this company more!!

Great experience! Top quality installation went much quicker than I expected and the price was notably lower (for similar product) than others I checked. The three main people I dealt with, Natasha, Loren & Allisun, were very helpful & friendly, going out of their way to answer my questions. Others were also excellent. Their location is also convenient. The only frustrations (“red tape”) I ran into had nothing to do with Option One Solar. Just wish I’d done this sooner! My summers will now be cooler and less expensive. Woohoo!
Great Customer Service. They kept me informed on the progress during the entire process. The installers payed very close attention to detail and demanded perfection, specifically when the paint they got to paint the conduits didn’t match. They busted it all out in a day and a half. I would highly recommend them.
3 Systems:We installed 3 systems (Glendora and Upland - 2) on our homes. Pricing was extremely competitive. Opinion below:Options One is a truly professional group with each layer in the project group knowledgeable and responsible for their specific area - such as contracts/accounting, installation, inspections and project management. More importantly, they are punctual and very responsive questions and assistance. They remove the stress involved in dealing with your city and CA Edison.Amber (customer support) and Allisun along with their numerous installation personnel were a pleasure to work with and very professional.
Added option one solar panel system to our residence and it could not of been smoother , Natasha our project manager kept us up to date with all aspects from beginning to very end and both very punctual and proffesional. I was absolutely scared of solar. Had put it off for years for that reason. And my Edison bill was still under $100 per month. Then the bills started increasing and I could see down the road it could get out of hand. A person at work just had a system installed and told me just to talk to Ashton at Option One Solar. He answered all my crazy questions and encouraged me to get quotes from other companies. No pressure, no sales pitch. Just good solid information. Every day I expressed my fear of solar. And he assured me I would be happy. He reviewed my SCE bills and told me the number of panels I would need. I was still leary, but decided for the sake of my budget to go for it. My project coordinator Natasha said they handle all the paperwork and permits. Start to finish maybe 3 weeks. The program on my phone shows me usage, how much energy I am producing!, how much Ive used, so that is great. Ashton and Natasha were amazing. It was easy. Stress free and my first SCE bill has a $90 credit! Cant recommend the company and people enough!!

I went through literally 15 different Solar proposals from different companies and their’s was the best deal for the kind of system we wanted. Natashia, our coordinator kept everything on track and the system was completed and operational in a little under 6 wks from signing contract and is a beautiful looking and functions beyond expectations!!!

I spoke with David over the phone and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. Explained things in a clear manner for me and emailed me information. I had some requests with my system and he met those needs. I asked for time to review and he respected that. NO PRESSURING ME to do the deal now!! The panels were better than the other quotes I received and a very competitive price, especially with better quality products. I would definitely reach out to David again with Option One Solar.
Our Project Manager in the Apple Valley office, Amber, was a great communicator, professional, personable, and cordial. The on site workers were great to work with as well. After researching the options, getting several proposals from more aggressive companies, I started my search for the best available. I found great reviews for this local company and my experience was stress free. They listened to me and designed a high output system with battery backup. From my first call to Jackie, I was never placed on hold or made to feel unwelcome. Our salesman didnt sell us anything, he talked to us about our wants and when we came up with a new situation the boss came out and we had a great discussion about the equipment and the possibilities. Elijah was very helpful in getting our solar up, easy to work with. He was knowledgeable every step of the way. If we had a question he was able to explain the process and where we were with each step. The service techs were friendly and knew what they were doing. They installed 21 panels and completed the job in one day. Now we are making our own energy with the California sunshine.

A professional, reliable, and honest solar installing company that I have contracted to install solar panels on my house last week, 1/7/21. The whole process was so easy, from the very competitive quote, work planning, engineering design, and the final city Inspection like a breeze.We are very happy with their work:1. All outdoor conduits were contoured to the exterior house features to minimize the impact of the looks and matching colors of the roof and stucco and securely reinforced all conduits.2. All joints, penetration points were reinforced and sealed with metal flashing and with matching colors3. I was hesitant on getting solar panels installed. It seemed like a Nightmare, I didnt want people on my roof that didnt know what they are doing!You dont have to worry with Option One Solar. They made the whole process easy. They have amazing customer service! If there is a mistake made they will definitely make it right! Everyone talks about Kc in the reviews, this guy is no joke, he is awesome! If you got a problem, it dosent matter what time it is, he will do everything he can to help you out! Option One installed my system in 2015. I recently had a panel fail and it wasnt under warranty (as the mfr went out of business), but Scott stepped up and his crew took care of it for me. The replacement panel looked different from the others, but they switched the panels around so the replacement was on the end where it didnt look so obvious.They discovered that one of the optimizers was bad as well, and they replaced it for no charge too.Option One is a stand-up company that cares about their customers.

Option One Solar installed our system approximately 3 years ago. It has taken me some time to write and frankly I think it will serve potential customers even more. They truly have stood by their work. Number one the installation process was very professional, from the office employees to those on the ground doing the work. They kept us informed, detailed any problems with the city, site, etc. When there was a slow down, etc they described it and solved it. I really appreciated that. And now that the system is running they have stood by it. I highly recommend them.
Scott and his crew did a phenomenal job installing two Tesla Powerwall 2s. The process took quite a while due to Covid-19, Tesla Powerwall shortage and SGIP (rebate application and approval) backlogs BUT when it was all said and done, it was all worth the wait. When you have an owner in Scott who will do anything in his power to get things right and accomplished, in my case, he took over my project (at this point my project has stalled for a while), picked up the baton so to speak and took me straight to the finish line. He got my SGIP rebate approved, my Tesla PW2s delivered & installed and passed inspection in just over a month!Kudos also to his crew who did the installation. They were very professional, knowledgeable and prompt. Trust me, I had my solar installed by another company (burst a water pipe, had to reroute conduit because where they ran it was such an eyesore, loud, etc) but Option One Solars crew (I believe their names were Alex/Jeff?) were night and day different -- no stress and did not bother us at all. When we initially spoke, he had some recommendations including running conduit underneath rather than across on top of the wall which my previous solar company did, but he was already on it; and I had my recommendation: hooking up Tesla Backup Gateway via ethernet instead of wifi) and they perfectly executed all of them. One day, I accidentally set my sprinklers to run for 6 hours instead of 6 minutes so the next day my backyard had so much puddles of water. They had already come before my wife and I noticed it and when we did, they were already checking out our backyard for possible causes. The fact that they were kind enough and took the initiative speaks for themselves and the company they work for.Overall, two thumbs up for this family-owned business who treats its clients like family. When you have an owner who listens and values every client and most of all delivers on his promise, look no further!Thank you Scott, Jim and Solar One Option!
AMAZING SERVICE FROM START TO FINISH!!! Option 1 Solar was referred to me by a friend who has used them to install solar on two separate houses. My initial consultation was during the COVID19 restrictions, so phone and web based platforms were utilized. My Solar Consultant, Ashton, easily explained the system options, install process and answered all my questions. My Project Coordinator, Sierra, promptly made all necessary contacts to the County for permits, plan submission and So Cal Edison for utility upgrades. Prior to my solar install, I wanted to re-roof only the section where the panels were going to be installed. Option 1 quickly sent out a contractor to complete a lift and lay on my concrete tile roof to avoid future panel removal. The contractor was friendly and throughly completed the job. Option 1 offers their 6 weeks installation guarantee, but their TEAM IS SO EFFICIENT my job was completed in 4 weeks! Great job done by Richard. I wanted to add an additional panel to my system. However, the original company that had installed my system in 2015 went out of business. Option One Solar was able to find a panel very similar to what I had and they had to search for the correct compatible micro converter. They also were able to pair the new panel to the Enphase Monitoring System. The new panel is producing considerable more electricity than my preexisting panels on a daily basis. All the staff that I delt with were very knowledgeable in their area of responsibility and very professional 👏 I recommend Option One Solar to anyone that wants a solar system or needs upgrading or repairs. I wish I had known their existence back in 2015. I would of definitely had used them to install my entire solar system.
To increase the value of my home and to assist the environment I decided to look for a solar company. After thorough research, the best choice for me was Option One Solar.From start to end, the staff have been extremely helpful. At no time did I feel rushed or pushed into choosing an option. Everything was laid out through digital mock ups and cost analysis.The installation was completed in a day and Im happy with the end result. The entire process was roughly a month long (mostly due to the current pandemic). I chose Option One Solar based on the professional quote that detailed every step of the process. They offered the panels that I was interested in and were able to do the ground mount install that made the most sense for my property. The install was complicated by the need for a easement which was handled by their team and I was kept informed each step of the process. NOTE: OptionOneSolar of Apple Valley, CA with outstanding awards and high reputation, assisted me with my small solar issue; HOWEVER, very important to me, in customizing a cable to run my APAP machine off my portable solar panel for off-grid camping. Aaron & Jim (tech guys & more) dropped what they were doing and helped me ON THE SPOT!! ... and I drove off with a custom cable! With personal experience and understanding of CPAP/APAP usage personally, they took care of me and resolved my issue. Option One Installed our system in 2014, They were priced right for what we were getting, including installation. They did an excellent job: fast, effecient, and CLEAN installation. Their support since has been great. Anytime there has been an issue, its resolved immediately. dont misunderstand - solar systems have no moving parts so there are no breakdowns, per se. Rather, our system is monitored by Option One and when the see an optimizer has gone out or if theres a communication disruption, theyre on it immediately to resolve it. As an example, we recently had 3 optimizers quit on us and Option One told ME about it. Within about 2 days, they were on-site replacing them without any cost to me as it was all warranty work. They arrived on time, got to work, had them replaced, and were gone in just a couple hours. Hardly knew they were there. Bottom line, if youre considering going solar, call Scott at Option One. They have the equipment, the right prices, the best installation, and fantastic support after install. Youre making the right choice with these guys, hands down.
We chose Option One for our solar project in July, 2018. The entire process was a pleasure from the initial consultation to final install. Our solar works very well. Here is the most impressive part of our experience. Fifteen months after our panels were installed on a ground mount at the back of our property, I found a sewer leak under the array. During installation, the sewer line was broken. I made one call and was put through to the owner of the company. He did not question my explanation, he just assured me it would be fixed. He took complete responsibility for the breakage and repair. He sent a crew over to inspect and days later it was fixed. This speaks volumes about the integrity of this company and is a true example of guaranteed work. Look no further, you have found your solar company. Call them!
This company does excellent work. Ive had my share of bad experiences with contractors, and I am fairly demanding and expect people to want to do superior work. But I like to push the envelope and I want it how I want it. Im picky.Regarding Option One, my experience was better than I could have ever expected. Everything from the very beginning when they emailed me different options, to discussing it with them in person and looking at my house together, to the super clean install, and then on the back end to have them button up all of the stuff with the city and Edison, this is a world-class operation. I am super impressed and grateful. Their work looks like an original, new build type of construction -- they even painted around the panel and on the wall of the house where the electrician left it unfinished. Their team of installers was always super respectful, clean, and happy to explain everything -- even problems they had. I was also updated every, single day by one of the great ladies from the office to explain what they did that day and what is next.This was just incredible, and Im extremely happy with the result. If only every company that we hire could be like Option One!
KC was very helpful describing the pros and cons of a roof versus ground-mount system. He answered most of my questions immediately, and when something came up he couldnt answer, he did the research and got back to me promptly. Off-grid vs on, battery backup alternatives, the extension of the federal subsidy were all issues he helped me with. Even over the holidays, when most offices are not so responsive, KC was a resource I could turn to. I appreciate his professional attitude and knowledge.

This is really a part two of my review. Having some issues with my HOA concerning the tilting of 15 panels which they claim violates their guide lines. The state of California is very pro solar and has taken away much of what a HOA can say or demand. Working with Esmerelda Valdez, she put together a document listing the offensive panels and what would be the adjusted price to meet the HOA guidelines. Also this would drop my efficiency by more than 10% which violates CA State AB2188. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of her time and energy to make this happen on such short notice. The level of service from Option One Solar from begging to end has been outstanding and would recommend them highly if your considering having solar installed. Again thank you to Esmerelda.
This company is AWESOME!!! I had a quote for a 7 kW system ( when I needed a 10 kW system to cover my usage I was currently using ). I called Option One Solar to get a second estimate and within 24 hours they came to my house for an appointment. The quotes were like night and day in comparison. However, Option one took the time to explain my production, equipment, rate of return and payback years. Not to mention they saved me thousands on my install!! Update, 3 weeks ago i went in with small small money and got big help, after learning how to do it myself since i cant afford installers, i found that made no difference in service. I continue to go in the office with questions and Jim perry and aaron continue to help me with top flight service. Their service is rare up here. This is for sure the company for you for solar. I am soo appreciative. I had a low budget, but Jim told me at option one solar we beleive in crawl, walk, and then run.. they are super cool. Call them for sure for all your solar needs. They help alot even if a small need. You can tell there is pride there. Veteran family owned as well.
The workers arrive on time and were professional. The leader talked me through what they would be and answered my questions through the day. They finished the project painted everything to match my home which was recently painted. They showed me how to access the system on my phone.The entire experience was great from beginning with the sales person to the end when all was finished.
Option One Solar installed our system in Feb. 2019.In the roughly 18 months since it became operational the system has produced more energy than estimated in the proposal.We ae quite satisfied with the appearance and performance of the panels.We would rate them 4.5 out of 5 if the rating system allowed.
Ashton and the whole Option One Solar staff are very friendly and professional. From the beginning to the end of the install they made it very easy. Any questions and concerns were answered promptly. I was givin options on where to mount the panels and was explained the pros and cons of mounting locations and how they would produce energy. My set up is great and I’m producing more than I use. Another cool thing is you can monitor the kW you produce through your pc or Solar Edge mobile app. Also the solar panels are very nice looking and have a thin sleek look. Even after having everything installed Ashton still checks in to give us updates on our panels and how they are producing. He even offered to help with cutting a tree down that shaded the panels a certain time of the day. I will definitely be referring family and friends. I am overall beyond satisfied with Option One Solar and recommend them.
Im very glad I went with Option One Solar and I highly recommend others to do the same with their solar needs. The installation went smoothly and Im looking forward to the electricity and tax savings in the years to come.
I contacted Option One 4 months ago for a commercial property I owned in Los Angeles. Prior to contacting them I received 3 quotes from other solar companies in my area. I was not very happy with the quotes they sent me because the systems they were quoting me were not good enough to cover my monthly usage. I found Option One through a mutual facebook friend and contacted them right away. At first I was skeptical due to them being located in Apple Valley, but I spoke with the head of business development Scott Thomas and he assured me that they would size my system to compensate for my electricity usage. They sent me over a quote for their top performing solar package and the pricing was lower than the other quotes I received. Option One had worked hard to get me the best financing possible available. They got my system Installed within 5 weeks and Ive been loving it ever since! Option One was the installer for my Solar Panels that I bought from a solar company that went bankrupt. My panels were covered under a warranty from the bankrupt company. Although, the solar company was up and gone. Option one fixed a broken solar panel for me out of their own pocket.. Option One is a stand up company who I wholeheartedly recommend.

Excellent installation. System has been working with no problems for three years. Has saved me a ton. My monthly Edison bill is $12.00 only and I receive a check for $90 annually for the excess electricity I provide to Edison. This has been a good investment.

I wish I could say pros and cons, but they are all pros. From the start, the sales person was patient as I went back with questions and Jackelyn who informed me of every step and when I forgot, she would patiently remind me of what was next. Even now they are checking that everything is working well.
KC was amazing to work with from start to finish. He explained everything so I could understand and was more than willing to answer any question or concern I had before I committed to my long term relationship with solar.
Bought our system just under three years ago and I absolutely would recommend no one use this company. We paid $30,000 dollars for our system and they wanted to run a communication cable from my attic to the living room in our two story house by drilling holes in my roof and floor; than run a cable down the wall in my childs room. Rather than pay for a $150 dollar wifi adapter, which the installer said the company would put in for free. Than when we tell them we dont want a cable drop through my floor and we want the wifi adapter the owner wanted us to pay for it, after it was offered to us for free. Than, best of all the owner calls my wife a liar and said that was never said even though my wife gave him the installer name and what he said. Than I didnt QA their work and a year later I find a couple shattered roof tiles on my roof that their installers left for me( who the hell gets on their roof to check professionals work, my bad I should have checked). Than best of all our inverter has a communication board go out on it (only 3 years old) and the warranty covers the part but the company want to charge us a minimum of $350 to fix it because it more than a year old (please read the fine print of your contract with these hacks). The customer service rep (or whatever her title is) Debbie is extremely rude and condescending. As I told the owner this was one of the biggest mistakes of my life and would strongly recommend everyone go look else where for their solar needs. I hope to limit my service with this company by talking to the vendor who product they sale by using other electricians and solar companies to fix the issue that keep arising in this $30,000 mistake.

I cant stress enough how great this company is! If you ever have the pleasure of dealing with Scott Trenchard, then you really are lucky. He went above and beyond to set up our system, and to me, the best part is, he didnt even act like it was a job. You can tell he loves what he does. We need more people like Scott in this world!

Very knowledgable team. Helped me every step of the way! When I goofed and measured wrong they were very understanding and provided the parts I was missing as a result. Basically set up the system myself with them to consult regarding more technical matters. Of course permit process required that I hire an electrician to do final hookup which was fine as I had everything ready to go. I saved quite a bit of money and everything was done to code!

I wanted to wait for at least six months after having my solar installed before leaving a review. I started to communicate with Option One Solar about a year before we made our final decision to “make the solar plunge”. It was a major decision. Every question I asked was clearly, concisely and honestly answered by Option One staff. (I asked many many questions.)Option one does not try to upsell at all.Going solar for us has been a crazy ride, because you have to watch your back with Edison. They are such a huge company and it seems they can do whatever they want. So we had a big hiccup with Edison after our solar installation…………. But Option One was right there beside us along the way fighting to clear things up.Our solar was already installed, so Option One could have left us high and dry, (which happened to friend who went with a different company). Option One was referred to me, which relieved me of the overwhelming decision of am I selecting the right company. I was told that Option One uses some of the highest quality equipment and panels, they explain everything thoroughly, and above all provide great customer service. All of which I experienced! The financing process was easy with no snags. My project coordinator was Amber, she kept me appraised on the status of permits, installation, inspections, etc.. Everyone I worked with was great. Going with Option One made getting solar easy and STRESS FREE. I was up and running the same week my system was installed. The install resulted in a some of my kitchen outlets not functioning properly. Option One sent someone out within the hour. The tech immediately began to troubleshoot. It was the easiest fix (nothing on Option Ones part), and I really felt foolish for calling them out, but truly appreciate that they did and a really great example of the kind of service they provide.
It has been many many years since I have had interaction with a company as honest professional and just so on top of things as option one they did everything they said they would do they talk to me for 3 months just giving me solar information never tried to sell me solar I finally decided to go and I went with them and Im so happy everything was smooth easy and the customer service after the sale is unbelievable definitely if you were thinking about going solar do yourself a favor and at least give them a call

2022-05-15By far the best choice out there for residential solar! I did a ton of research on different system components and contacted maybe a dozen different installers, and Option One was the only company I felt fully confident putting my trust into for such a large and important purchase.The communication was great, and my sales rep Tracy was so accommodating and was always happy to answer any questions I had or bring them up to the right person if he didnt know the answer, and then actually follow up and get me the answer! Other companies just slowly stopped replying to calls/texts/emails, but not Option One. They followed through on everything.Esmeralda in finance was the sweetest and made the whole contract/financing process super easy to understand and put any and all concerns I had to rest. She was really on top of any little changes I requested and was also stellar when it came to communication and accommodating all my questions. Shout out to you Es!And I couldnt have asked for a better project coordinator, Natasha, who handled literally every aspect of the install from the moment I signed the contract. Shes really good at her job, from coordinating the roofing work/permitting/installation/inspection flawlessly and always being available for questions and giving me updates. So glad she was assigned to my project.And the actual installation was a great experience. Brandon, Ian, and Andrew were super quick, efficient, respectful of the space, and always answered any of my questions or concerns during the (one day!) install. They let me hang out and watch at times, and were fun to chat with. Steven and Victor did the electrical work (I had a main service panel upgrade) and the finished product looks so organized and professional. Victor was very careful to make the new stucco look great and went out to get a paint color to match and its basically flawless. All the installers really cared about the final product and went out of their way to make sure every detail was taken care of (too many things to list here, but they treated it like they were Installing on their own forever-home, which was amazing).The final product looks great, works like a dream so far, and Im confident that if anything comes up in the future, Option One will be totally on top of it and get it sorted out quickly. I cant think of a single negative thing to say about the company, people, process, or final product.Coming from a skeptic that probably does too much due-diligence and research, Im really glad I made the choice to go with Option One after all. Dont hesitate to contact them, and be confident youll get incredible customer service and results. I never went uninformed and was kept up to date every step of the way. From permits with the city to available install appointments, she was amazing. 2022-06-05We have recently decided to go the solar way, after so many other companies trying to sell us on things we did not need we found Option One. Our sales Rep Ashton was able to answer all of our questions provide us with great feedback on all their programs without hiding any information. This was the main reason we chose this company. While going through the process our project manager Natasha was always responsive, kept us updated every step of the way. The day of installation they showed up and got to work, very courteous and friendly workers, they left no mess cleaned everything up. Even after installation, when you arent a priority anymore to most companies, we had some questions they were able to speak to us and answer all the questions weve had. I would recommend this company to anyone who is on the fence between companies.

2022-02-18If you’re looking for solar, Option one is a way to go from the sales Manager Ashton making it easy and very informative on the sale of the solar panels and the capabilities of the system. My project coordinator Natasha made it very very easy on not having to lift a finger when it came to scheduling getting permits from the city and keeping me up-to-date on the project and when it would be completed. From me reaching out to purchase system to the actual completion of project was approximately 3 to 4 weeks it couldn’t have went any smoother . I’m extremely happy thank you option one

2022-02-16Option One Solar was by far one of the best companies I have been able to work with. Aston was very helpful with setting up the solar plan I needed for my house and giving helpful advise anytime I had a question. Natasha was wonderful when once the project started. She sent updates every week on what stage the project was at and once one step was complete she would let me know what to expect next. Natasha also set up everything with the city and SDGE to get our system hooked up to the grid within days of installation. Great company and it was a pleasure working with them!

2021-11-30We just had our solar installation completed by Option One, and up to this point is has been a very pleasant experience. I was highly interested is using Tesla for our solar, but the experience was a total disaster right out of the gate. I called Option One and spoke to KC, who was an awesome sales rep and very helpful… down to earth and easy to talk to. Violet our project manager was very helpful every step of the way. Victor the installer and his crew were very efficient, clean, and polite. I would highly recommend Option One!
