Food was great but felt like portions are always small no matter which size you choose. Plate is mostly overstuffed with rice and barely any proteins. Staff was very slow in taking order. Also the employee have to wait for owner to distribute protein which takes too much time in serving as well.
Guys, this size of food is ridicules. It doesn’t cost that much. Metal Scoop tool is tiny, looks like scoop from kids cooking set.The man who makes food doesn’t wear a gloves! He touched register , than he touched all around and than he touched my plate inside by his palm! I won’t eat here again 😅
Very poor experience here. Ordered for takeout and was treated rudely because they assumed I was a delivery driver. They dont start making the bowls until you arrive, and made us wait in line, so there was no point in ordering ahead.Worst of all, the portion sizes were tiny and the quality of the food was mediocre. Mono Poke is much better, and so is Sushi Bar. I wont be returning.
My first time trying this place and I have to say it was THE BEST poke Ive had thus far....The quality of the fish was so fresh. Ive been to many poke establishments but the fish wasnt on this level. I wish this place was closer to me. This is truly a hidden gem! Ill be only getting poke from here on out. Its worth the drive.
Delicious poke bowl. Very flavorful. However, the only thing I am not happy about is the size of the scoop. I paid $13.99 + tax for 4 “large” scoop. Each scoop was half full and the poke was already cut really small. In the end, I didn’t get much fish in my bowl. I know a better poke place that gives generous amount of fish and ingredients for less. That’s why I give 4 star for this place.
The lady who works here is always so cheap with the protein scoops. Today she picked out *four* pieces of albacore with the tongs and put them in my poke bowl. When I asked for a full serving, she said yes, added some, then charged me for an extra scoop. Maybe Im being petty but dang, Id really appreciate at least getting what Im paying for.
Disappointed this place wasn’t as great as other reviews made it out to be. The fish wasn’t very good quality and the portions were very small for the price. We spent about $20/person and still ended up making more rice at home. The prices are also higher than their website says. The staff were very nice, so I’m sure I’ll be back to try it again.
Terribly rude service. Poor quality ingredients. Small portions. No flavor. I have no idea how this place is so highly reviewed especially when there are better poke places right down the street.I placed an order for pick up at 12:05 and when I arrived at 12:15 it wasn’t ready. I waited in the order pick up line to ask if I was in the right place for pick up and she cut me off and pointed to the line without saying a word. I got in line and waited with the 10 people in front of me. As I waited I saw someone come out from the kitchen. I tried to get her attention and she said no and pointed me back to the original lady who was rude at first. The OG lady pointed to the line again without a word. When I finally got to the counter they said they don’t make orders in advanced and instead they wait until you get there. Not sure why they advertise skipping the line by ordering online then. ANYWAY They also said I needed to wait in the pick up line. I told them I was in the pick up line originally and was told to go to the main line by the other person. They were like oh well sorry it’ll be five mins and proceeded to try to convince why waiting is better.Just don’t go here. Ever.
One Poke is my favorite poke spot in the South Bay area. Every time I go here, the food is guaranteed fresh and tasty. The serving size is generous too. Bowls made as you like it. Fast and easy. The staff here are always friendly and accommodating.Parking is never a problem when dining in or picking up an order to go.They also do UberEats when I dont feel like driving.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Worst costumer service. If you have food allergies, DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Came here for two bowls, one for myself and one for my husband. I asked for sesame seeds on mines only and he also added it to the other bowl...honest mistake, no biggie. But instead of making a new one, he tried to pick out the tiny seeds...impossible. I asked for another bowl, the seeds will literally kill him! From that moment on she (the owner) was so rude and mean. She made feel so awful! What food company who finds out theres a food allergy wouldnt jump at the chance to try to prevent killing someone!!! They made the mistake not me...crazy!!!! To top it off, the food was awful. NEVER GOING BACK!
This place gives lots of toppings included in the price. Overall taste for the poke was great and fresh because of this. The fish was good albeit like most mainland places the fish was not pre marinated in the spices so the flavour doesnt soak as much. Overall good amount of food for the price. However, I will take one star off because so far no mainland poke has compared with the poke in Hawaii. I would probably go to One Poke again if I have a poke craving while near LAX.
This is the only poke place I have been to on the area, but I wouldnt be surprised if it was the best. The fish and all the other ingredients are very fresh and the prices are reasonable. If youre hungry I would recommend spending the extra money to get the 4 scoops. The line starts getting long around 1230 during weekdays so make sure to get there a little earlier!
The food was unbelievably tasty! The fish was fresh, i ordered the poke from the website called Poke Togo and it was on time i definitely recommend the website because the line at one poke is always long i have to wait a long time to take my order. Anyways you should try the poke its really good.
Soooo good. Visiting LA from PHX and came for lunch on a Saturday after climbing at Sender One. Food was fresh and tasty. Had a large rice plate with 4 scoops of protein, half shrimp half salmon poke. All the little toppings add so much flavor (seaweed, sesame, crispy onion...). Fresh, light, delicious. Wished I had a place like that down my street.
Ordered a poke bowl here expecting the best but when it arrived, it barely had any fish even though I ordered and paid for two servings of salmon. Restaurant unable to answer the phone when I reached out but still happy to charge me 20 bucks for 2 oz of salmon and rice. Ridiculous. Eat somewhere else.
Best poke place near airport. I was looking for poke bowl when I was in a business trip. I found this place. The owner was very knowledgeable and confident about what she serves. Very kind and great customer service! The food was amazing, definitely come back next time!
I work down the street at a defense contractor campus, and I often get out of the lab at late times for lunch due to the fact that our shifts force us to stay til around 2-4. That being said, I can guarantee that One Poke is always using fresh ingredients because my bowl always tastes and smells amazing whether I do get out late at 2-4pm or early at 11am.I also think the owners go beyond the general pick your choices modern style fast food chains. I often have fun conversations, talk about other food genres, life discussions, and sometimes they brighten my day with some jokes.Ive been here almost every week since I started this job a few years ago, and I will keep coming back.
A great place for a quick lunch. I like to order online and then pick up on my lunch break. Everyone there is really nice and the food is delicious and fresh. I usually go for Ahi Tuna and Salmon but the Spicy Ahi Tuna and Seared Salmon are also delicious. The variety of choices is great, definitely a regular spot for me.
Hate writing bad reviews but this place was so mediocre. Over priced for how little food you get. A scoop of fish is really like a half scoop at best and both the salmon and tuna were partially frozen. The people working there who may have been the owners seemed less concerned about the quality of the product and more concerned about getting you in and out of the door as fast as possible.
I ordered late one weeknight from one of the apps (their website ordering system was temporarily not working on my phone) but learned from the owners that Grubhub keeps the tips intended for the restaurant workers! So lesson #1, dont tip on pick up orders placed on those apps. Lesson #2, in order to recoup costs, the prices on Grubhub are higher than they are at the shop, so just order direct. Lesson #3: Outside of Hawai, this is the best poke Ive had in LA. I was only near One Poke because of a trip from the airport, but every poke meal Ive had since then in my area (DTLA, NELA, Pasadena) has been a disappointment in comparison. The quality of the fish is unmatched and the sauces are delicious. GET YOUR POKE HERE.
Was in LA for a BTS concert. This place was close to my hotel. I NEEDED some nutrients after standing in a merch line for hours under that California sun before I got ready to go back for the concert. We stopped in to order and the shop had BTS music playing. The lady was so sweet! The food was delicious and I was feeling much better afterwards! She asked me to leave a review so here are my 5/5 purple hearts 💜💜💜💜💜
One Poke is consistently exceptional! It is a weekly occurrence for my girlfriend and I. The value is incredible, for $12.99, the 4 protein bowl is crammed with fresh ingredients and the sauces are spectacular! The shop is immaculately maintained and the owners are very friendly and eager to please. I highly recommend this establishment and I am certain that once you give it a try, you will completely agree.
I dont usually review restaurant. I love One Poke, so flavorful and so many ingredients to choose from. I am very sensitive about fish. But all fish here in One Poke is the freshest fish. The price is very good. Where do you get Poke salad bowl under $10 ? I will come back for sure. I strongly recommended.
My boyfriend and I have been going to this place for a few years now. We love how much food we get for a decent price and it always fills our poke craving. Even though I’ve moved away from the area for over a year now if I’m ever in the area, I make a point to get some poke from my favorite people with great customer service to boot.
First time trying poké. The owner helped me choose things that would be good in my bowl. Somehow, it all came together and I cleaned the bowl lol. I wish the actual protein portions were larger. The soda machine wasn’t working but I was able to get a can soda no problem. I was glad to find this gem.
This poke place is great! They have fresh fish with a good variety of toppings (I personally like their tuna and salmon which are their most popular choices). Its a great healthy alternative compared to the other quick bites in the area. Of course its fresh fish so its a little more pricey but for what you get its a great value! Also the owner is very nice!
My favorite Poke place! Their fish is incredibly fresh and delicious and you can customize the bowl to your preference. I come multiple times a week and cannot get enough. Friendly staff and the place even lets you collect rewards (stamps) so that after 10 purchases you get a very nice size discount on your next purchase. Would love to see more locations for this place.
Wow the best poke in town! All of the ingredients are fresh. Specially tuna, my recomendation is the salmon. My personal favorite one is spicy tuna. Personal story: I visited a poke franchise near this area but I got an upset that night this place is diffrent, I usually dont give reviews but this place is quite amazing.
I WILL GIVE A TEN STAR IF I CAN,I usually dont eat a lot of raw fish or poke, but this poke restaurant is a 10/10 for me because the fish and food is really fresh and the interior is very clean, Im really not a raw fish lover but this restaurant made that opinion change when my friend introduced me to this restaurant, didnt even leave a grain of rice when I finish. I recommend coming at 2:00 pm because the lines are always long and also u can eat in peace without people crowding around you, I really enjoyed eating here and i recommend this restaurant.
First time here, great service and wonderful staff. New options coming soon, so I look forward to coming again before and after. Price isnt expensive and affordable. I think a Japanese couple owns the food stop, so service, again, is the best youre going to get than most places. Food itself was great. I enjoyed my meal and ordered a second for later. Definitely going to enjoy it.
I ate last night dinner with my husband at one poke, it was soooo delicious and the amount was more than enough for the price what I paid. The tuna and salmon were very fresh. The place is very clean and I felt very comfortable. The workers are very friendly that you can feel that they serve you from their hearts. I plan to go again soon to the ONE POKE.
Good food, friendly service, and prices are average. The downside was that we ordered two bowls with brown rice and we got white rice instead. Also, the guy serving the food wasnt wearing gloves while serving and I could see him touching the lettuce, the spoons would go right back into the containers and hit the food right where he touched them.Im really annoyed by that stuff. Who knows whats getting into our food.Other than that, a good place for a poke fix.
This place is amazing and the staff is super friendly!I usually go for the large with two scoops of salmon, 2 tuna, brown rice and spring mix. Ill put both dressings on the salad, all the toppings (except masago, its too salty for me) , all the crunchy toppings and for the sauce Ill do spicy mayo and Dragon sauce. Let me tell you, youll be craving the sauce if you choose to go to any other poke place after eating here.
This is authentic Hawaiian Poke. They are so fresh and it comes with all fresh vegetables. The most importantly their fish is amazingly fresh and so flavorful. Specially spicy tuna and spicy salmon is so good I ordered three bowls all spicy tuna and spicy salmon. The price is very good. Two scoops salad poke bowl is less than $10. I definitely come back.
Update: I’ve been going here for over a year and ALWAYS get met with amazing customer service and quality, delicious poke. This is my go-to place, even though there’s numerous poke places much closer, One Poke is worth the extra drive; every time I have a visitor who loves poke or likes sushi but hasn’t tried poke yet, I take them here and each time my guest has enjoyed it as much as me!Their poke is off the hook and the owners are super nice. They use sashimi quality fish so its always fresh and delicious. There are many poke places near my home but I always make the drive to One Poke because they are the absolute best.Their hours are actually 10:30 AM to 9 PM M-F and 11AM to 9 PM on Saturdays. They are closed on Sundays.
What an amazing place to come for lunch or dinner! I love the owners, they always love to chat and will come out to say hi while youre eating. They help provide a very unique and personal dining experience. Not to mention that the food is absolutely amazing! You definitley get what you pay for and more. I feel spoiled after eating here because there is no other poke in LA that comes close to what you can get here!!!
Second time here and once again my experience was awesome! Always greeted with a smile and very welcoming 😊 Had another lyft trip to LAX and thought why not. This time I had spicy salmon and tuna with the works!!!! Quality was amazing and very satisfying. Had a miso soup and was tasteful and not boring like other spots Ive tried! One of my new favorite poke spots. Period!
Great lunch spot. A good, healthy alternative to most processed type meals. The fish always tastes fresh, and they have a great assortment of condiments. The line moves very quickly, so even if it looks crowded, you can get in...out...and back to work in a few minutes.
Found this out of the way location by accident. It is located in an industrial area near LAX. I was surprised they were open on a Saturday night, with no foot traffic. The Poki was good and fixed in front of us with good quality ingredients. They offered a noodle made from Kale. I usually am not a fan of Kale, but after trying this noodle, I would go back again and choose the Kale noodle. My wife ordered a bowl as well and we both were pleased with our meal. The owner was friendly and inviting while encouraging us to try his offerings of great food.
I have never had lunch at a Poke, but to tell you that the experience was phenomenal would be an understatement. The team is always high energy and friendly and will ing to help a new comer like myself. From sauce selections to best toppings they know the best combinations. The quality of their salmon and tuna is some of the best around. They are definitely generous portions of each that they serve.Special thanks to Yoshi and Esther for helping me out. Yoshi your the man!!!Thanks. Guys
I am staying at nearby hotel. I dropped in late and was only unit in strip center open. New to poke. I thought the fish was very fresh and the owner chef takes this effort seriously. It is very clean and portions are worth the money. I went back again. This place deserves five stars. It is a winner.
First night in LA from chicago and was craving poke. After doing some research in my hotel area, I decided to try Ono Poke. I was a little skeptical at first walking in but the worker and boss was very friendly. I ordered 2 small bowls which was a great portion size. The fish was very fresh and well cut! After talking to the boss for a while, she gave us free foundation drinks and ice cream! Even though we came here ten minutes before closing time, she lets us stay here as long as we want to finish our bowls. Amazing service here. Its definitely worth a try in my books and will be returning in the future.
Having never had poke before, I thought I would give it a go.... it was Amazing! I love sushi and this was a great amount of food for an awesome price and for this reason I much prefer this to sushi. Their fish is of the highest quality and extremely fresh. I will be visiting again!
I saw ALL the GREAT reviews online........Honestly, I really wanted to like this place... but... I got a large bowl with 4 scoops of fish, (Which I thought would be a lot) and they really gave me 4oz of fish at most. I had to ask 4 times for extra cucumbers. Theyre acting like it was completely blasphemy to ask for a little extra. Fish was alright, but this place was a massive let down. $15 for a bowl of rice and salad. Very disappointed. Friendly staff though. Wouldnt ever go back.
Good fish quality, and good toppings. Fish was not chewy at all. The medium is two scoops and the large is four scoops. What I wish they had was a 3 scoop option that was priced right in the middle, instead its $2 more than medium and $1 less than large. Not a lot of seating available as this area gets quite crowded during lunchtime.
I ordered from One Poke through Uber Eats. It was taking a long time so I called them, and a guy said they were just getting the miso soup. After 1 hour of waiting and being extremely hungry, they cancelled my order. Terrible way to run a business. Do not eat here. Do not order from here.
I had my order wrong. They added a lot of hot sauce on my order even though I requested it on the side. They also didn’t add the fish I requested. I called One Poke to tell them I had the order wrong. They said, give us few minutes and we’ll call you back. They never did. I throw the dish away. Eventually I went to the restaurant to tell the what happened. They laughed and told me I was a bum and I wanted free bowl. Then they kicked me out and said they’ll call the police. This incident is very disturbing to me. I felt violated and publicly humiliated just because I told them my order was wrong.
I am extremely saddened by the service I have received there today. I went in to pick up a paid order and he refused to give it to me because I asked for a cup of water. He initially confirmed the order and said it was ready. Once I asked for water his demeanor changed and was dismissive and rude towards me. Refusing to give me the order until I turned over the cup he has just given me for water. He then tried to argue with me and blame it on being busy when it was in fact him who did not want to give me my order. I will no longer support a business that does not appreciate their customers

2021-12-17Tonight I had one of the best customer service experiences! The woman who helped us was so kind, she handcrafted our poke bowls and they were quite literally the best I’ve had. I told her I was vegetarian and she took the lead and it did not disappoint. I would recommend this place to any and everyone, I wish I was a LA local because I would happily visit this spot again.

2022-01-24Not really sure why other reviewers are raving about this place. I had to justify giving this place 2 stars instead of 1.First of all the service is slow, second their portion control is ridiculous; small scoops of protein, very little sides, and for an extremely hefty price! On top of that the quality of the fish was mediocre, as if its been sitting there for a while. I managed to finish up my meal, but my friend decided to throw away the rest of his food to avoid ruining poke for himself.I dont recommend trying this place out unless youre looking for small portions for an unjustifiable hefty price tag.

2022-06-10This is our second time here and plan on coming back soon! Great ingredients and sauces and very clean. The couple that runs this shop are really friendly and know what they are doing.

2022-07-02Little hole in the wall place near the airport. Not much seating but had some outside. Built my own Poke Bowl and it was delicious!! They have a few sizes to choose from. Plenty of free parking. Staff was friendly and helpful!

2022-02-25Great spot next to our hotel. I had a 3 protein bowl with tuna, salmon, and spicy tuna over white rice. Topped it off with cucumber, wakame, Kani salad, and fried garlic. Great flavor and portion for the price. I will definitely be back.

2022-05-11Rice is good. Octopus was very chewy, tuna had some chewy particles too, the size of protein is small, at the picture 4 protein size portion. Nice poke but not for the 18$,and they don’t have restroom

2021-11-29Most amazing poke bowls I have had in the area. Perfect spot to grab a bite before a concert. The owners are amazing and so sweet even told my friend and I to be safe and have fun. 100% recommend going here and their house sauce is so good.

2021-12-17Seriously.. the best poke I have EVER had!! And the woman who helped me out was so kind and caring!! She costumized my order to my liking ... PERFECTLY!!! 100/10 WOULD RECCOMEND. Please support this poke shop, its TO. DIE. FOR. Service and Quality. :)

2022-03-022 stars for speed.I ordered a small poke bowl on UberEats.I mistook Spicy salmon for a dollop of carrot purée. I found shards of “seared albacore” in bed of over seasoned cilantro salad mix.Ladies and gents, there are Nijiya, Marukai, etc in LA. Don’t bother ordering “poke bowl” from here. I spend my adolescence in Hawaii, so please don’t attempt to retort “she doesn’t know what a poke bowl should look like.” Mahalo.

2022-08-11Fantastic Poke Spot for a lunch break or for a quick bite with your spouse.Took my wife there and we had some fresh spicy tuna with tons of great tasting veggies.I need to come back to this place more often.Great deal also for the amount of poke for the price too!
