Will Definitely be back here again. Very clean, great customer service, breakfast is amazing and complimentary, views are amazing, free movie rentals and games and books if bored, complimentary cocktail hour daily and a complimentary homemade fresh baked goods at your door every evening. Comfortable and roomy accommodations.
The room and view was beautiful. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Oh and the food was amazing! Complementary cookies and wine every night were a great bonus. Will definitely be staying again.
We celebrated our 49th anniversary there.. Mike and Katie at the front desk and the kitchen staff treated us like friends or family. The cookies in the afternoon were great.
We booked 4 rooms for a wedding on March 23. What a great place! All of our rooms were very nice, roomy and clean. And of course, we were close to everything. Breakfast was a huge surprise! A delicious, sit down, hot breakfast that was really good. Friendly staff. And to top it off, they did a spontaneous toast for the bride and groom when everyone happened to show up in the evening! We are all planning to return again without a wedding drawing us there. Nice community as well...
This lovely little gem in Cayucos is definitely a relaxing and clean place. This was my familys first travel experience during Covid times. We were nervous yet reassured by On The Beach Bed and Breakfast of the measures they were taking to limit contact & cleanliness of the property. We noticed that many rooms were vacant for cleaning & they really do clean. It showed! We arrived to room 203 with a few surprises such as chilled champagne, chocolates & chocolate chip cookies. The staff thought about our 3 & 10 yr old boys with extra cookies, milk, soft drinks & PB&J croissants. Breakfast was fresh, delightful & filling. Plus, theres free street parking & a garage beneath the property. It was really quiet & we never got tired of listening to the ocean waves. Thanks again for the personal touches. We will definitely return in the near future. You will not regret staying here!The sunsets on the beach (across the street) were beautiful. The fog lifts in no time & it heats up nicely. We drove to Pismo Beach Outlets in about 30 min. Lots of good eats in the surrounding towns such as Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo & Pismo Beach.
My husband and I came to On the Beach in May 2020. Although it was the height of lockdown in California the location was perfect. We were next door to restaurants so we could pick up and eat on our balcony. The guest parking and amazing ocean views (not to mention the breakfast, yumm) definitely made us want to plan a return visit!
Stayed here for the first time! Loved it. Met a lot of great people and the way they have the dining room set is great for meeting new friends. The breakfast was great and the evening happy hour is a must, they don’t skimp on the wine or beer! Will definitely be staying here next time we visit!
Best place to stay in Cayucos hands down..staff is friendly, courteous & delightful..enjoyed our 32 Wedding anniversary there and plan to go back in the near future for a longer stay definitely. Rooms are clean and very well decorated, breakfast was delicious and completely filling with fresh fruit coffee juice. Wonderful
This Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful find for us. Recommended by a coworker of my husbands. Staff is so friendly. And the Chef/Cook prepared amazing breakfasts. She even has her own cookbook. Which I highly recommend getting. Beautiful rooms and the sheets on the bed were so very soft, like nothing Ive ever felt before. And the beach is only a hop, skip, and a jump away.
We recently stayed there for Valentines Day Weekend (Friday to Monday). Pleasantly surprised the rooms were beautifully decorated. The food was AMAZINGLY delicious. The staff are very polite and pleasant. Its a quaint little town with several restaurants and antique shops. Fireplace in each room, a huge balcony with a spa overlooking the ocean. Breath taking.My husband and I plan on coming again. Its a nice getaway.

Loved this place!!! Beautiful, big rooms so close to the beach with friendly staff and delicious food. During covid I knew it might be more of a challenge to serve breakfast to all guests efficiently but they did a great job!I will definitely be back!!
Stayed here for 1 night during a road trip. Wonderful and welcoming staff made our stay memorable. The room was tastefully decorated, the bedding and the sheets were super comfy and the breakfast in the morning was delicious! It all honestly could not have been better.
Rooms are clean, very spacious, we had a second floor room, view of the ocean and pier. Loved listening to the waves at night. Very quiet at night. Great breakfast, friendly staff, free DVD movies for in room cable, DVD, Flat screen TV, microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator, and a spa tub/shower. Also a gas fireplace and balcony with chairs too! Only reason for not 5 stars is 11 am checkout.
We really enjoyed being right on the beach & staff was nice. In room 105 the bed was comfortable but overall the room was very dated & in need of some maintenance. The breakfast was tasty & considering the pandemic it was a nice stay.
Beautiful Oceanside get-a-way! The staff is super friendly & clearly put a lot of love into the fresh homemade appetizers for their daily evening Social Hour which includes samples of some delicious local wines & also in the scrumptious breakfasts served every morning! The rooms are luxurious, clean & comfortable, with fireplaces and great chairs for catching up on a little reading!! The whirlpool in room tubs arent bad either!!With an open 6 miles of walkable beach and a famous pier just outside the door, plus great restaurants, unique watering holes, an upscale but friendly wine bar specializing in local boutique wines and a local winery right in the heart of town, and many specialty shops, all within walking distance, this is really just a lovely escape!!
This is a airfield place that I try to come back to you every year. Its right on the beach with nice restaurants nearby. The hot tubs are great, the water is hot, and the fireplace is nice and warm. Internet works fine. Beds are super soft. The breakfast are absolutely amazing. They even have bathrooms although they are too small for me. I can park right at the back of my room and they have plenty of parking in their garage so parking is never an issue, even on a busy day.
I love this little out of the way B&B. It is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms are large and decks inviting. The views breathtakingThe food is always fresh and delicious. Parking is easy. Lots to so in this little town. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
When we think of going up north, On the Beach is On our Minds. Awesome rooms, right on the beach, most fantastic breakfast, tasty evening food, and wonderful people. The rooms are comfortable, most have a fire place for cold romantic evenings, good a/c for hot days. Surrounded by excellent restaurants. CAUTION, rooms book well in advance and for good reason.
We just spent the weekend here after wanting to try the place for years. As we were driving there we were called by Cynthia who informed us she has to leave at 8pm and needed an eta. We arrived and hustled in to be sure and get her home on time. There was a mix up with booking and we needed to call the reservation company to check on how payment haf been made. We had the company on the phone with her within two minutes directly. Before the representative could even speak she snapped at him and said they were closing and had no time looking into it. She was short and rude with us and then seemed bothered because a guest asked her to fill a water kettle. She left irritated for the night. We were truly shocked but that wasnt the end. The next morning after breakfast she showed up for her shift complaining that the breakfast staff had left her an hours worth of work to do. She did this in a public conversation in front of guests! A group was there to have a birthday BBQ on the top deck and asked about.plates and silverware. Rather than politely telling them they didnt have any (which they did) she just started snapping them and at one point saying she didnt know own anything she just worked there. Of course at the evening reception, same icy response with guests. Cynthia does not seem to like the guests, her Co workers or her job and I have no idea how the owners havent noticed. The spa was broken when we went to use it. Coffee and breakfast although good needs to be an hour earlier. We avoided the main area and tried to get in and out without incident all weekend only to be completely stressed out every single time we saw Cynthia interacting with guests. I feel robbed of a weekend and feel like it was a waste of a weekend. This is a bed and breakfast, it should be welcoming. People work hard for their money to stay in a place like this and it feels like being robbed when something like this happens. As great as the location is, we wont be wasting any more hard earned money to be mistreated by this lady. I wish I could have a do over of this weekend at a place I didnt feel awkward and an annoyance at.Only bright spot? Waking up to Shannon and Katie who greeted us with smiles, friendly conversation and great food. Thank you ladies. The second star is for them.

Love this place. Our 5th stay and they never disappoint. The rooms are wonderful, the staff is kind and attentive. Hot homemade gourmet breakfasts and evening socializing with food and beverages and dessert is also provided.

Simply amazing! Beautiful room with fireplace which was needed. Staff was great and the blueberry pancakes for breakfast were to die for oh and the key lime cookies were heaven. Highly recommend!!!

A very special place. You wont find many places like this that give so much thought to their service and offering to their guests. Breakfast is all home made. Perfect blueberry pancakes, chicken frittata, and fruit salad when we stayed..plus nightly social gatherings with drinks and canapes. ❤
Made a visit to see about renting the building floor a wedding. Staff were informed. Building is in a fantastic location. The breakfast options look delicious. Its a bit more expensive than others, but the view and experience are worth it!
4th time here..clean and quiet..disappointed in the breakfast but with COVID restrictions it may be the reason not much was offered..unfortunately went elseware for a breakfast..
This is our 5th visit and once again, it solidifies why we spend the extra money to stay here.The bang for your buck is fantastic. From the rooms, to the meals, to the staff, the amenities everything is five stars!! Cant wait to return!
No coffee was out until 0800 at a bed and breakfast. It should be called a bed and brunch. No breakfast served until 0900. Most guests were ready to eat around 0700. Office wasn’t open to check out until 0900
We have found our home away from home here at On The Beach Bed & Breakfast. The location is perfect, with views of the ocean from your bedroom and the sounds of wave to lull you to sleep at night. Walking distance from Cayucos best food, you can see the Brown Butter Cookie Company from the front steps. The rooms are wonderfully clean and comfortably appointed. The sheets are soft, combed cotton and the bathrooms have plenty of room for the wife to setup shop. With fireplaces in the rooms, balconies that allow you to watch the waves or the kiddies on the swing set, it cant get much better. But at On The Beach B&B it does… food. The breakfasts (yes there are two, one continental and one made-to-order), afternoon treats and nighttime snacks make this the only place you need to consider in Cayucos.Ps… dont tell anyone!
The location could not be better. The breakfast was delicious! I would definitely stay again! Its a small bed & breakfast with a small staff, the customer service was great! Attentive and friendly staff.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ASKED TO PAY WITH CASH THEY RAN MY CARD AFTER SAYING THEY WOULDNT THAT IT WAS JUST TO HOLD THE ROOM AND MADE MY BANK NEGATIVE. THERE IS MOLD GROWING AROUND THE SHOWER. WOKE UP WITH THE BATHTUB COVERED IN ANTS AND ANTS IN OUR BED. PRETTY DISGUSTING. HORRIBLE VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY HERE AND WE WILL BE SURE TO PUT THE WORD OUT THAT THIS HOTEL IS THE WORST PLACE TO GO.

2022-05-26Our room was on the first floor, we had an ocean view but also of the public parking area. The view was partially obstructed by parked cars and the car parked next to our balcony. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.The staff was great and the breakfast for both days were good.If we go back would definitely ask for a room on the second floor.

2022-05-30The good, the check in was welcoming. The location is wonderful as well. The bad, there is very limited parking. Our car scraped going in and coming out of the garage. The rooms were advertised with an ocean view. We didnt get a ocean view. Our view was of town. The room is very dated. Little details like baseboards and trim are overlooked and dirty. The back of our bathroom door was very dirty. One of the sinks in the bathroom was very cracked and damaged. This was a treat for us on vacation as the room is very pricey. The bed was very uncomfortable. We both woke up with achy backs. Breakfast doesnt start till 8am which was also very disappointing. We booked this in with the promise of a rooftop hot tub. Unfortunately that has been removed and instead their was a fire pit. Overall such a disappointment. We definitely wont return.

2022-01-05We stayed 2 nights in room 202 and had such a delightful experience. We took bubble baths together in the double jacuzzi tub, kept the balcony door open to hear the waves crashing just outside the room all night and slept very well in the firm but contouring bed. Barbs breakfast was hot and delicious (both quiche Lorraine and sausage breakfast burrito) and served with fresh fruit and pastry - arguably the best breakfast in town! Marci and Pilar were very friendly and down to earth hosts with great attention to detail. Cookies hung on the door handle each day were a nice touch.

2021-11-25Have always wanted to stay here since I watched it get built. The rooms are still so clean and neat and the furniture is matching and beautiful. We had the best view of the pier and enjoyed the sound of the waves all night. Soooo relaxing, and the fresh cookies handed out daily is a real treat.

2021-02-25This is definitely a five star facility. My daughters and I had a wonderful time. Rooms were clean and large we were able to play cards inside. The view of the ocean and the pier was very peaceful and calming. Very friendly staff and we will be back.The breakfast we were served was wonderful. Just can’t say enough good things about this beautiful bed and breakfast.

2021-03-05Very comfortable B&B.Everything in our room worked perfect.The location is at the corner of the pier and the main road paralleling the beach. I was concerned the location would be too noisy. It was fine.Parking is underneath the building. You don’t have to park on the street.The breakfast was delicious and serving size was perfect.In my opinion, they could improve their coffee game by brewing from a local coffee roaster.Thumbs up, On The Beach Bed & Breakfast.
