I love how whn you walk in the staff is very friendly. The make you feel at ease about the entire process. The Doc is super cool to talk with. And I enjoyed everything about it. The first initial visit might take a lil long but i was cool, make sure to bring a jacket of a lil blanket the office is VERY cold inside.
They never answer the phone. I had important questions and wasnt able to get any answers. I think its ridiculous that I have to drive all the way to the center just to ask two questions. I will not be giving any more donations or my time. They dont value it and Im tired of calling and trying. This isnt the first time either. Terrible service. Every time I come, they walk away from the counter as well. Will not be back.
I truly enjoy donating plasma knowing I am helping out lives. Makes it worth it and the money is a bonus. I am saving my money for a rainy day or something special. It’s a nice way to have a savings. For some reason they have removed the chairs in the waiting line and when that line gets long you can stand there for over an hour. I have had 4 back surgeries. So I try to time it just right because standing for over an hour is not an option. Maybe a bench or something could be put in. I would greatly appreciate it.
Wasnt qualified to donate because I was over their weight limit. Didnt even tell me until afterwards when they could at least let you know what front with the weight limit is instead of me wasting an hour and a half sitting there registering and then last minute. But it should be in the pre-qualifications ID social mail weight limit under this amount and over this amount etc. And Im healthy for my weight what you cant be fat and healthy and still donating and help people...???? Telling me that they didnt want to discriminate on me thats why they made me wait and do all that wishing a bunch of time.... Like Im sure he is you the full physical I would be more than fine donate but Ill weight and just qualify you.
Referred by friend. First visit takes several hours. I was helped by Nia throughout my intake and she was very friendly and helpful. My 2nd visit went fairly smooth. Beatriz was informative and helped me get checked in. Was also helped with logging into the app for easier intake prior to donating. Visit lasted about an hour. Needle sticks are hit & miss so drink lots of water! Overall, getting paid for giving back.
Went here to donate plasma for the first time and they experience was horrible. Specifically the intake process, registration and screening. When you actually get to the donation floor, the phlebotomist is nice and friendly but every point leading up to the actual donation presses is terrible. First of all Octapharma does not make appointments so it is basically first come first serve and the environment is as if you are at the DMV. The registration appointment takes 3-4 hours, all the while going through a screening process where they treat you as if to assume everyone that wants to donate is an addict and they proceed to check your arms front and back for track marks. Honestly, I suggest to go donate plasma at a Non-Profit agency, such as BloodSource or Vitalant. One of the registration screeners at Octapharma was extremely rude , when I simply had questions about the process. Her tone was combative, which she probably has to be all day but she should have had the awareness to bring her defensiveness down, at least just for the the moments when she was taking to me.The donation floor chairs that clients lay in to donate are brown, dirty and old. The examination table in the exam rooms did not have examination table paper, which was alarming. I got the feeling the environment was unsanitary. I was uncomfortable at Octapharma the whole time. If you are considering going here, I recommend you dont. People who are donating life savings products deserve to be treated way better than you will at this location. If you are giving out of the kindnesses of your heart, I recommend you go elsewhere.
After being deferred because of the machine not being able to return my blood twice, and another time because blood was mixed in with the plasma inside in the container a third time, I finally came back and everything went smoothly. I was considering switching to Biolife but, I will continue going to Octapharma.
Great friendly, informative, and empathetic staff. I appreciate the personal connection the phlebotomists and health screeners build with you so maybe those that arent comfortable with the process and have some peace of mind. The overall relaxed yet professional environment that is manifested and developed is amazing. The focus on the patient the most which matters in making long term committed contributors.
Today was my first time coming here. Every staff member I interacted with was great - very friendly, informative, and helpful. It does take a few hours to go through the whole process but that’s no fault of theirs. Just make sure to carve out a good chunk of your day! Right now they’re doing $100 for your first few visits (within a certain time frame), so it was definitely worth it. Also, a tip: the area where they do the blood draws is quite cold, so bring a blanket or jacket!
Clean, well staffed and quick. Just a few of the many reasons to choose Octapharma Plasma to donate to. I donate at the Fruitridge Rd. location here in Sacramento, CA and have never had an issue. The staff here are attentive and make you comfortable thru the entire donation experience.
Chelsey :) is one of your guises best workers you have here shes very polite respectful and always willing to answer questions no matter what it could be a busy day and she takes her time and helping others !!!! Thank for letting me do something good and saving life’s too 🥰
I REALLY ENJOY THE EMPLOYEES AT OCTAPHARM: THEY ARE ATTENTIVE, CARING & FRIENDLY & SOME OF THEM WILL ….. MAKE U EVEN SMILE🤗.I WALKED IN TODAY: JUST TO ASK A QUESTION & I SAID I WOULD BE BACK IN MORNING, THEN YOUNG LADY SAID …… SHE COULD START ME RIGHT NOW.I LEFT: CAME BACK & COMPLETED THE WHOLE NEW DONOR PROCESS.IT WAS REALLY EXCITED TO SEE ….. SOMEONE FROM MY VERY 1ST TIME.I WOULD LIKE TO SEND: A SPECIAL “THANK YOU” ….. TO #MORGAN🌹 ….. WE GO A LONG WAY BACK. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING TODAY ….. I REALLY APPRECIATED IT ALL💯🥰
I was at OctaPharma on fruitridge been going there for a while now they lost a lot of workers so you have to understand when there slow…. But every time I come in they are moving as fast a they can. SHOUTOUT TO BEATRIZ SHE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE AND ALWAYS THERE.
I think its a nice place to go Chelsea one of the phlebotomist is one of my favorite shes always happy always smiling and we share recipes together anyway Id recommend it to anybody who needs a little extra money sometimes its more crowded than others but you have to have patience
Hello there I have been going to donate with my life saving plasma for many years know. Until Monday Feb.28 until I was so very mistreated and talked to so rudely, by employee Selena who is way to friendly loose talking with donors and very unprofessional rude!! I never knew that you have to be treated like a second class citizen for a minute amount of $$55-30 bucks if your not a new donor. Let that just Soak in 😉 but besides Selena unprofessional everyone on staff is Fabulous especially Morgan.
Shoutout to Morgan and all the Octo Crew. Thank you for showing up and providing the services. To all new and old donors, just a friendly reminder....please respect the staff whether the office is having a fast or slow day. They choose to come to work when others aint. Patience is a virtue. Trust the process.
Wonderful facility, Chelsea is a fantastic person and employee! No matter what day or holiday it is, she always brings the best our of the visit. I hate needles and blood work, but when she is working on me I forget all about because of how gentle and knowledgeable she is. Chelsea is the best!
The best place I have donated. Paying out the highest in Bakersfield. Very clean place and great atmosphere to donate. Had been years since I donated but this place makes it quick and easy to donate. Wait time is about 15 mins and then u will be out the door in about an hour they hook u up to the plasma machine.
I started donating a few months ago, and I absolutely love it here. Every time I go in, the staff always amazes me. No matter how busy or chaotic it gets with donors, they are always incredibly professional, kind, patient, and understanding. Further, the environment is delightfully clean, which is very much appreciated. All of the staff are truly wonderful, and there are two individuals I would like to positively bring attention to:I always look forward to seeing Sylvie when checking in before donating. She always has a warm welcome, she is genuine, patient, professional, gives wonderful advice, and I love how passionate she is about her work and saving lives through plasma. As far as the donation process, I am one of the donors who’s veins are eminently small and difficult. Most of the time, the phlebotomists may have to restick or adjust the needle a couple of times during my donation. However, Ryan always fantastically and painlessly gets my vein exactly right in one go each time, which I am immensely grateful for as I am very uneasy about needles. Lastly, his upbeat yet calming persona is always enjoyable to be around, especially if you’re one who is nervous about pokes and needles. He is not only incredibly kind and great at conversation with myself, but also others. When passing by frequent donors, he always exchanges a friendly gesture.Definitely recommend this location if you are planning on donating!
Hi I usually donate here but now its almost like they are tripling profits I understand people need money but how do u value this life saving plasma upon my last visit a woman said my son only got 20 dollars geese 20 dollars to save a life I thought us as humans where worth allot more that 20 a pop I received only 30 the price used to be 75 65 for me that was at that line of worth it I would be nice for this scale to go away and actually pay people for the vital fluid out of their body
Been donating here a long time and have never had any problems. The people are very reliable, friendly and helpful and the payouts are pretty sweet in my opinion for a brief donation of plasma. They also do fun little games, competitions and raffles throughout the months and the prizes have always been top shelf. I won a TV back in December just for donating 8x a month like i normally do. Would recommend as a legal side hustle.
Speedy wait times, clean beds/floors, and free WiFi are all benefits of this center, but this biggest plus is the staff. Chelsea is especially a main highlight, who makes mine and my partners day every time we come. She goes out of her way to say hi to us and see how we’re doing. She is an expert on getting the donation time fast and painless. This center is worth your time
Yes, you have to wait a long time on your first visit but you make $100 dollars for a 4 hour wait. Ummm, thats $25 dollars and hour so why complain?I personally love the staff and the process is quick, easy, and painless. My only complaint is the line. Sometimes we wait in line for an hour and often the screening staff are just not too concerned with moving it along. Theyll often chit-chat with each other, making us wait.Other than that, they have great phlebotomists and the process itself is a piece of cake. I make $120 a week, which is a nice bit of extra cash!
Had some pretty horrible experiences with place. To start of many of the staff is uneducated and Getto. Most of the staff dont know how to properly stick you and it freaking hurts. The staff takes long to fix the plasma device when its not working. Some staff are straight up rude. If I didnt need I would definitely not go back there.
Honestly really disappointed with This facility. After waiting 3 hours since they’re so short staffed, they tell me I can’t give plasma because I’m taking lithium when it wasn’t stated in any form that I shouldn’t be on it. I’m so upset and wish I could do something about it but I just left, thanks for that.
My daughter is disabled and had her rights violated. She was turned away for not knowing her personal information by heart which was her address and social security number. She had her cards and didnt want her to donate because the were not memorized. They made her feel terrible 😔 if was because the thought I put her up to it then it is still discrimination.
Always super slow I’m always sitting for 1-2 hrs just for the screening. They could have a line out the door and still only have one person doing screening with 6-7 people on the floor talking, but on the plus side Sonya is the best person in this place! She always gives conversation and constantly checks up on me when she sticks me or if she sees me! I always request her specifically if I don’t see her I leave
Your staffing in HORRIBLE. Ive been coming here for about 2 years. Just a suggestion the end of the month is busy. Dear manager staff up the last two weeks of the month. No reason you only have two nurses doing physicals and a five hour wait. Waiting is not my issue, your lack of staff is the issue. Not only are your patients waiting, but your staff then become on edge do to everyones frustrations.
Just finished my 1st donation!Cool way to get a little extra cash, the lady at the front counter was very nice and explained it would be about a 5 hour wait, since Im a first time donor it took about 2 hours to get to my physical after my screening process, and once that was over I immediatly went to the needle!Staff was delightful and knowledgeable.Funny guy who was setting me up on my chair was pleasant to talk too especially since I was a bit nervous, ALSO the hourly giveaways are cool and encouraging for people who are there toughing it out.Overall great experience and will definitly be a regular!
Have donated several dozen times and almost without fail the wait has been very long. As in, almost long enough that the money isn’t worth it compared to an extra hour at work. The staff are friendly and courteous, but I almost suspect that there is a shortage of personnel due to the long lines at the screening station. And god help you if you are a new donor or need a physical (at least once a year). Expect to spend two hours waiting around before seeing a nurse and getting started donating (average 4-5 hours total). Also, charging phones is prohibited, so make sure you budget your battery during the wait.
My initial Impression is that this place well... sucks. I cant really say what the in store and people are like as I never even got the chance to go in. The business hours state that they are open from 7am to 7pm, which would be great if it were actually true. My work hours limit what time I have available to actually head out to this place and have my plasma drawn. I live and work on the opposite side of the city and since it often takes an hour and a half to 2 hours at every visit I need to get there right as it opens so that I can make it back to work on time. So I spent the hour in traffic to head over there and I got there about 10 minutes before opening (6:50am) as I heard there is a line and this would be my first time ever having plasma taken. There were 2 other people in line ahead of me and we were waiting for the lights to come on and for the doors to open. At 7am there was no one there and the doors stayed closed and stayed that way. By 7:30 there was still no one setting up or opening the office. finally about 7:35 there were people that could be seen moving inside and setting things up, but the doors stayed closed. Finally at 7:45 with the doors still closed and the employees just staring at the people outside I had to give up and head back home because I couldnt wait any longer. All in all not very impressed, but I guess since they pretty much have a monopoly on paid plasma donations in Sacramento they feel they can do whatever they want. Seems like a very sloppy business though, and now Im not sure I even want to try going there again, especially since its a 4-hour trip with traffic if I do manage to get seen.
I Love this place...The Staff, feels like old friends, and family...coming in to the Plasma center, seeing other people’s families grow, with babies, and relationships... So I have been going here for years. I must say I am very disappointed with this company. One problem is how I went just the other day to donate I was standing in line after anwsering the kiosk questions. I waited in that line for about 20 or 30 mins not to long and in comes a employee from octapharma to donate. She stands in the kiosk line anwsers the questions and gets screened then immediately goes to the floor to a bedd in a section that was closed . Staff accommodated her as I have never seen before like employees are better then us. She skipped the whole process waiting to be seated , so me and the other 15 people I front of her got skipped which I though was against the rules. How is that fair yet when I ask them are they going to call every one to beds or just people with express passes , everyone wants to start talking back to me and getting madd telling me about rules and procedure yet your employee just skipped everyone in line and got her own bedd in her own section which was closed to everyone else. Staff called 6 express passes back to back. Then here comes a employee that skipped everyone waiting for bedd without a express pass.also they defer people for their own personal reasons not for breaking the rules completely unfair .
Ive been coming to octo for about a yr and i am very frustrated. Ive been here since 6:45 and i waited about until 8:00 just to get a bed. I began to get impatient at about 7:55 so i let out a heavy breath of frustration. At which time i made eye contact with one of the people drawing blood who then whispered loudly to the other pokers to poke me last. There were 4 people after me. I have 3 kids and worked graveyard last night so i am very tired. Yall have never done me like this here and just like that all the positive things i had to say went out the window. My husband had just donated before me. I wasnt the only one complaining either. I didnt get poked until 8:13. An hr and a half and people after me only waited 45 to 50 minute. Had to leave a review just in case they do me like this again. Not cool bro
The staff is phenomenal! 5 stars to them hands up 🙌👏 they’re all really dedicated to making you feel comfortable. I’ve had a couple scares (too much fat on the blood) but the staff helped me immediately and I felt like a friend was truly taking care of me. Brianna brought me back to life that day 🤣4 stars because their reward program gives more the heavier you are. When you start they give you $50 the first 5 donations then $15 if you’re below 135lbs. But the heavier you are the more money you get as a returning donor. It should be equal. Just saying.Ps: The staff is such a crucial part to this company it would be nice if they weren’t underpaid or overworked.
Unfortunately, I was screened out due to where I live. I was unpleasantly surprised by that realization, but the Plebotomist that was registering me was very kind and patient in explaining and answering my questions. I encountered three different phlebotomists during the first steps of attempting to donate for the first time, and each of them were warm and friendly. I cannot offer feedback on much of the actual process, but I left with the general impression that the staff at this location are personable and willing to answer questions that one may have. I gave four stars since I’m not yet sure of what the entire experience is like here.
Ive been coming here for longer than a year, its a good way to get some extra money. Recently they upped the amount they give you, which brought in a huge amount of new donors. Be prepared to spend 3 hours or more here on just a regular donation. They really should open up a new center to curb the amount the single location receives, perhaps in north Sacramento or Citrus Heights.
It was alright. I came first and got deferred for a burn on my arm. So just some advice if you have open wounds, hold off. The process isnt too bad. Similar to giving blood; you get the prick with a big needle, they take two samples, then suck it out of your arm. The process is removal, separation, and return. While I was here it did this 3 times. Wasnt too bad
I found Octapharma Plasma through a Google search a few months back when I needed some quick cash while changing jobs. The premise is simple, donate plasma, get cash (well, a pre-paid debit card actually). The sign up easy and once you do it you can come in twice in any 7 day period. Staff is polite and courteous. I cant say its fun but they provide TVs to keep you entertained while you donate.
Service is very slow only 5 people working in the building in which two where on break. 5 to 7 people waiting in chairs just to get drawn. Business just started at 7 someone is on break while several people waiting very unprofessional. This is my second time here and still not happy with being a client.

2022-05-02This Octapharma location is excellent. The workers here are amazing and very respectful. There have been days I couldnt donate due to my own negligence and the way they communicate showed their professionalism. Everyone here is an asset to the business for sure ,but there is a lady by the name of Chelsey that always makes me feel welcome. She is very polite and her smile sets you at ease. Chelsey should definitely be put on the spotlight for get great attitude and excellent service.

2022-05-01Since the first time I came inside the clinic I felt safe. I felt helped and by the time i needed to know all the procedures the employees explained everything really clear.During my today visit with Beatriz i felt really good and we got the chance to chat a bit and it was nice.

2022-05-25The staff is very approachable and professional. Donating on and off for approximately 3 years and no negative experience. If you need to get thru until payday, register ASAP. Just be healthy and honest. LEAVE THE KIDS AT HOME if you can. Easiest Benjamin Ever!!!

2022-07-27I have no complaints overall about the facility or staff. There’s one particular person who I think is just a tad bit rough. Especially, when inserting or taking out the IV. This person is NOT a new hire. Other than that the staff is great! Keep up the good work!

2022-05-04Morgan, Sofia and I don’t know her name but there’s a short blonde woman who works here. All there of these ladies are great employees, if you have the SLIGHTEST inconvenience while donating. They will fix it. Everyone makes Sue’ sure you’re comfortable and feeling well before they walk off.

2022-05-15Friendly staff, but wait times the few times I’ve gone are pretty long. Other than waiting for initial screening the rest of the process is easy. Don’t forget to bring something to stay warm since it’s always cold in the donating area.

2022-08-21Wait was extremely long. My entire visit was over 6 hours. Some staff were very nice and professional however the phlebotomist was inexperienced and had to stick me multiple times in both arms. Stated my veins were rolling but Ive never been told that before and I supposedly have good veins so its odd and was extremely painful..but she was nice and probably did her best. I will be returning because I was told the first time is the worst and very time consuming but it wont be like that for future donations. The population of people around the facility is rough but just go early and mind your business.
