Currently, they have a great model train exhibit just in time for the holidays. They even have an activity for the kids to do a scavenger hunt.Must see and do for families to get into the holiday spirit.Muzeo always have an interesting exhibit for all - young and old.
Went to the Japanese Internment Exhibit, and thought it was extremely well done. Learned a good deal, loved the family stories and accompanying photo collections. The artifacts and the barracks exhibit were outstanding! Highly recommend. No photography was allowed, so no pics for this review...
Loved the Quilt exhibit I was invited to several years ago in February (didn’t realize I could leave a review). The grounds were stunning with the crocheted decorations on the poles and benches!! The inside was quaint and very enjoyable and though I’m a quilter I saw past and modern quilts that took my breath away! How do I get on a list to receive notifications of your exhibits?
Its sometimes difficult to review museums and other places that serve as cultural preservation. However, this place is not difficult to review. While its a little bit smaller than a lot of museum spots Ive been to, I find myself charmed by the mixed media spots and physical recreations of the past. The staff was friendly and helpful when I visited. The ambiance and general tone of the museum helped highlight the displays. If I was in the area later in the future, I would come back and see what they have. Also, if you have a NARM membership, this museum is an affiliate. So make the most of that!
We walked over from the packing district. Paid $17 for an adult and 1 child to view only the tiny train exhibit. Then we got a talking to for taking pictures, when there had been no signs in the area not to. I would had rather paid a bit more and been able to see the rest of the museum.
The museum was a great place it showed many artists with many different viewpoints of growing up Mexican American. On top of that there was a different section that just so happened to be exhibition Korean artists artwork. The art was beautiful it had a very Serene feeling and I gave you a good sense of the beauty of nature. Additionally it was very cute and endearing that they left a calligraphy book for visitors to sign off to. PS my boyfriend left a funny message in Korean!😉
Unfortunately I chose a day with no ticketed exhibition ..... Took my 12 year old grand daughter so we could spend some time together and she could learn some of Anaheims history, she enjoyed seeing 100+ year old pictures and equipment etc. Asked questions and we had an enjoyable hour there
We normally spend most of the day at a museum but the three times we have been here all were easily under two hours. It is very well done, their exhibits are beautiful, but my mother thought it was a bit too dark. The girl at the front desk did not seem too well informed but an older guy stepped up and patiently answered our question, he seemed to have a wonderful sense of humour. They have a separate older building that smells like an old building but perhaps that is what it should smell like.I would have to say that Muzeo does a wonderful job showing what is shows, but being a slight bit more pricey I thought it would be a slight bit larger. But we were certainly never disappointed whether it was Napoleon, Frogs or the current show about the Bible. I was a bit put off about having a show on the Bible, but it is very well done.
Yesterday we attended a mad hatter tea party at the muzeo to the tune of $50 for the ticket and were exceedingly disappointed. Very poorly organized. Long, long lines to obtain a clue (which were so ambiguous) to identify a picture during the scavenger hunt. If the table were to identify all 9 clues with the correct picture they were to receive a prize. We waited in a long line to have our selections OKed and discovered there were not enough prizes to go around and our table did not receive theirs. There was not enough food. Our table did not receive ANY DESERT. We left hungry and disappointed.
In March 2017, my elderly mother and I somewhat enjoyed the special clothing exhibit Dressing Downton, however, due to no fault of our own, the experience (on my birthday) was tarnished due to total incompetency of the museum director! There was no seating in the exhibit and that was very tough for the mostly elderly demographic attending that day. During the tour, some of us were sitting on the floor because we could stand no longer! Some in attendance had canes and walkers. Clearly, this could have been handled better. An office chair had to be brought in for my 83 year-old mother after we left the tour to complain about no seating. Also, one of the exiting the exhibit to get the chair was difficult to find due to improper signage (which was reported to the local fire department). In any event, after numerous complaints from me to the museum, public officials, and the curator, we were told the situation was being rectified, but it should never have been an issue in the first place, and I will never step foot into one of their exhibits ever again.I do look forward, however, to doing some research in the old library which sits on the same property.
Keeping this review at 3 because we went to muzeo while it was between exhibits and it was closed until the new exhibit was set up. So really i did mot attend because it was closed and i did not know that before heading over! Sooooo look up if the placeis even open before you visit k!!!
I went in on a Wednesday morning at ten o clock for a school report I had to do and they weren’t open yet. I waited there for an hour for them to open and they didn’t open. Either they need to change their time schedule posted or they need to go to work earlier. I was very disappointed and upset. It was not a very pleasant experience.

2022-06-20Beautiful museum. Here, you can learn more about the history of Anaheim including Disney. They have two exhibits. The exhibit that showcases local artists runs for 1-2 months while the main display of the artwork for a longer time.

2020-01-11Went there for exhibit on Japanese Americans from Anaheim and the internment camps during WWII. My family was one of many families highlighted. It was important to my dad that I see the exhibit so I made the trip from KY to see it with my parents. Muzeo is a small space, perfect for smaller cultural exhibits. It is part of the Downtown Anaheim complex. Parking is nearby.

2022-01-21I always love a good museum, and this lives up to it. The Christmas train exhibit was the reason I went but I ended up looking at everything else also and everything was cool.

2021-10-06My family and I were really excited and looking forward to a planned event at Muzeo on Saturday but when we arrived we were informed that it had been cancelled. No prior notice or explanation. We decided to check out the Art Museum exhibits but it had closed early, i guess. It was only 3pm. So finally only thing left to do was go see the Legend of Sleepy Hollow exhibit. It was so boring and not worth it (in my opinion). We stayed there for like 15 minutes....and that was too long. It was a real disappointment since we had been wanting to go since forever. Totally bummed out. It was a bust!
