Love this place...getting my car serviced and they make you feel welcomed. I bought my Crosstrek from here about 6 months ago and was treated very well compared to other new car dealerships...the salesman that I felt with was not pushy at all I was surprised that they even let me walk out while thinking about it...other dealerships wouldn’t even let me walk out of the sales floor after getting me in their cubical. Make sure you ask for Larry...awesome person to deal with.
I could not have had a better, smoother, or more enjoyable experience with a dealer. I live in the bay area, and found Maita after looking elsewhere due to the run around all of my local Subaru dealers were giving me. From start the finish, the experience with Maita was nothing short of professional, and most importantly, KIND! Every single person I worked with, from the sales team to the business team, was respectful, listened to what I wanted, and did all they could to make it happen. I took delivery on my Forester this past weekend, a full month+ before it was initially expected to be delivered. My only complaint is that they arent closer to me so I could routinely use Maitas services for my Subaru going forward! Thank you, Maita, for a painless, enjoyable, friendly and FUN car-buying experience.
Maita Subaru was by far of the best car shopping experiences Ive ever had. Terry Coleman was superb! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and never pressured me in any way to buy the 2020 Subaru Legacy I came in to test drive. Terry even went out of his way to help me go turn in an old lease down the street and gave me a ride back to the dealership. I look forward to purchasing another vehicle from him again in the future.
First time here. I went to get my fuel pump recall fixed on my Outback. When I picked up my car it reeked of gas on the inside. I brought it back the next day for someone to take a look and was treated like I was making a huge deal of the smell. Turns out someone forgot to seal something. They fixed it but it’s been a week and a half and the inside of my car still smells like gas. I’ve been airing it out for days and nothing is working. Very inconvenient and sloppy work on their part. I haven’t been driving it this whole time because the smell is too strong for me and my kid. I’ll be visiting a different Subaru from here on out.
GPS program stopped functioning properly/. Best I could tell, had me in the pacific ocean.Service re-installed or reprogramed (either/or) and the new updated (?) GPS is better than the old.Very satisfied. Service Manager (Jan) was very helpful and considerate.Day started irate and ended very positive.
This is like my favorite Subaru Dealership to go to.Honestly, theyve always treated me with hospitality andkindness. I always come here to buy oem parts too. I just recently got a new key reprogrammed for my STI,estimated 2 hr job but they got it done in 30 mins, it prolly wasnt a busy day, but still fast service. And I want to Thank service advisor 536, Bert Johnson for taking careof me and setting it up. Definitely coming back here for next service. Best Subaru in Sacramento Area in myexperience.
Wonderful service and staff. We only lived in Sacramento for a year but the staff at this Subaru dealership was so professional and helpful. We had a surprising battery issue and they took care of it for us. They have a really laid out waiting area with option for people who are working and those who are just relaxing while theyre waiting for the cars to be ready.
After 8 years of driving my 2011 Honda Accord, I decided to purchase a used Crosstrek. I came all the way from Monterey because this dealership truly had an unbeatable deal. I recieved a fair price for my trade in. I was not sold anything extra that I wouldnt need nor were there any hidden fees. Everything was explained to me. The staff were wonderful and this was, by far, my best experience at a car dealership. I drove home in my new car a very happy customer. Thank you!
I didnt end up buying a car from Maita, they didnt have the car I wanted in stock. Not their fault, really its this chip shortage we are all dealing with. So, you might be wondering why I am even writing a review. Well, Maita is a big reason I bought a Subaru at all. I had other options available from different manufacturers but Clark (sales dude with Maita) actually demonstrated why and how Subaru was the way to go. He let me drive the Outback Premium on my own then he drove and showed me all the cool safety features I was too afraid to play with. He knew ALOT about this car. I was dealing with like 4 other sales people from Subaru and others and NONE had the knowledge Clark had.Being a female, I also worry about dealers trying to take financial advantage of me. That was absolutely not the case with Maita. I am a tough negotiator (this is not my first new car buying experience) and they absolutely respected me and my requests. Clark and the sales manager (ugh I forget his name -- hes a great guy, great at what he does too) and I went back and forth for like 3 hours negotiating. I mean, they wanted to make me happy with the car they had in stock. I WISH SO BAD I could have bought that car just for the fact Maita would get the sale.If I am ever in the new car market again I will not hesitate going back to Maita Subaru!
Typically when you think of dealerships, you think of hustlers who don’t care much about the customer. This couldn’t be further from the case with Maita Subaru. Jan from the service department treated me like family and helped me through a tough situation with my car calmly and professionally. I won’t take my Subaru anywhere else for service and won’t consider buying a car anywhere else. Amazing staff and they care about their customers.
Sale staff is vary pushy! including managment . things do come up i life that you cant control . Had a appointment today dec 11 and had to take my wife to the hospital they didnt care they put the ascent back on the market ! I now will do business else where DON T GO THERE THEY DONT CARE ABOUT PEOPLE
With reviews i feel like people only do it when they are upset. So heres a good one.In the last month i took my car in two different times for a service. And both times it was amazing. Matt L. helped me with my service i told him i was frustrated because my mechanic couldnt figure out the issue. He listened to the issues and gave me his opinion but assured me hed figure it out. He kept in constant contact with me to make sure i was in the know. He found the issue and went above and beyond to fix it. He could have left it there but he told me to come back to recheck a leak they couldnt pinpoint the first time. I took it back again and got so lucky that Matt was working he remembered everything we did and needed to do ( they see so many people so that was amazing) they took my keys and said they would call me. He called me saying he needed to keep it longer but that he wanted to set me up with a rental car and could even arrange a ride to the dealership for that. I got my rental car (fell in love didnt want to give it back) and Matt kept in contact with me about every step. I got my car back they did such a thorough job i am so happy. If Matts boss sees this PLEASE GIVE HIM AND THE REST OF YOUR TEAM RECOGNITION. Thanks guys
Absolutely stunning brilliant young man, Levy Whitaker, managed to pair my new iPhone with my 2015 Subaru, when no one was able to accomplish it for an hour. He then made sure I can make and receive calls, listen to my music, and hear navigation commands from Google Maps. This seemed to be impossible, but then he showed up and did it. Apparently Levy has the knowledge of all Subaru systems from the new models to the old. Im very grateful. Now I have a very different experience with my Subaru, driving has become an enjoyable activity. Levy is my hero!
Just when you think the world couldnt get any worse.... Then you find Maita Subaru and you realize that there are still some salt of the earth type of businesses still around if you look hard enough. They absolutely exceeded all expectations. My sales person was Larry Bilger, he and all his associates went completely out of their way to make my buying experience pleasant and painless. Thank you Maita!!!
The sales person and his assistant were very nice and informative. I got a nice car but the price was a little high. However, that is my fault for not continue asking for a lower price when they did not work the car price. This dealer needs to improve how they treat their customers while they wait. The finance department make us wait more than 2 hours. Is this a tactic to drain people so they agree and sign to whatever extras and finance rate are offer when closing the deal? I am really surprised that even when we have a child with special needs we were never offer not even a snack or water. Some months ago I bought a used car in Toyota Fremont and we got a courtesy lunch for 4 while waiting for the paperwork and the car to be ready. Another negative impression was that at the end the car was not delivered completely clean. No, I am not satisfied with my car buying experience at Maita Subaru. Excellent customer service is when you make sure customers return and recommend the company to others. I dont think we received that from this dealer. They sold a car to us this time but we will not return to buy another.
Strange sitting in a car dealership while your car is being repaired and not seeing new cars inside the showroom. I assume thats a Covid thing. Waiting room seating was expanded and spread all around. People are polite and responsive. Repairs were complete but $$$$$$.
They looked at my car because it was really bad off. Oil leaking into coolant. I had problems with this car from the beginning but they fixed it under the factory warranty. Im so thankful it runs great! Thank you so very much everyone at Subaru I dont know what I would have done. Thank you for going the extra mile!
This is the closest Subaru dealership to Davis, so we went here for our 45K maintenance on our Subaru Impreza. We made an appointment and we were out in an hour and a half - awesome. The staff were friendly and (to my surprise) recommended the cheapest maintenance package - I appreciated the lack of upsell. We waited in the lobby which was comfortable and spacious enough to feel safe during COVID.The maintenance itself was as expected. Nothing bad to report and the car is still running smoothly.
Matt L. in service is fantastic. We brought our Crosstrek here for Transmission work, and Im happy to have my baby back and driving perfectly. Matts communication and coordination of getting an estimate, dropping off my vehicle, being shuttled home due to my vehicle needing to stay overnight, and being brought back for pick up, was top notch. Thank you to Matt and the techs who worked on my Subie!
We made our appointment last week and the service department was able to schedule us in the same week--on Friday. Jacob waited on us and he was great! I have to say all the Subaru staff are courteous, helpful and very friendly. We left our vehicle there for servicing and he called us within three hours to let us know our vehicle was ready. Our Forester runs great and we have been very pleased with our vehicle.
Recently had to get some work done on my 2014 Impreza when the clutch was having issues. My experience could not have been better! My service customer rep Matt did an excellent job keeping me informed, letting me know what my options were, and being timely with responding to my questions. Got my car sooner than I thought and its working like brand new - thanks Maita Subaru!👍🏼
60k service was straightforward and completed within a reasonable amount of time. The service rep explained everything, gave all the options, and quoted a price that made sense. He even made sure all available coupons and discounts were honored.I never get a headache when I service my Subaru and Maita.Thank you.
Best customer service & vehicle buying experiences Ive hadMy wife & I visited the dealership back in December, we were only window shopping, trying to get a feel for vehicle models, options & prices. We have never own a Subaru, but were interested in finding out what Subaru could offer us. We were amazed by the quality of service we received from Donald White. He was very patient with us, answered all our questions, he gave us hes unbiased advice on what should we look for and what would be better on the long run.Last week we had an unexpected issue with our only vehicle and needed a car. We knew that we had to go back and visit Don at the Subaru dealership, hoping he would be able to help us in getting a vehicle we could afford and that best suit our needs.Without a doubt, once again he surpassed our expectations on what he was able to accomplish. Listening to our current needs, being patient, helping us look for the car that best worked for us & our budget, specially keeping a positive attitude we would be able to find and purchase our perfect car.I would encourage anyone who is looking to buy a vehicle to go to the Maita Subaru dealership, and ask for Don White. Sit down and have a talk with Don, he will not disappoint.
Even during this world crisis, the folks at Maita Subaru were courteous, efficient, and caring. They took care of my vehicle recall issue, and loaned me a vehicle (brand new 2020 Forester - super nice!) to use for the day. The whole process was easy and painless. Thanks for making my day so easy.
It all stared with Bert, our personal sales person. Throughout the whole Subaru experience, Bert was there being: open and honest with no pressure at any point; informative about the vehicle we purchased and when he did not have an answer to one of our questions, he either directed to a source for our answer or actually introduced us to a staff member that had the answer or the source to our answer. Our service call was complete, comprehensive and the personnel were friendly, welcoming, and informative and during our service visit, Bert was there to greet us to check on us to see how we were doing including the progress on our service call.
Spent 4+ hours and multiple visits last summer trying to buy an Ascent, only to get the run around and bait and switched on the trade in value of my current car.Fast forward to today, ready to pull the trigger on the Ascent again, have a buyer lined up for my car in case the trade in value was an issue again, only to be bait and switched on price this time. THEN once I got the price issue resolved, spent 3 hours in the dealership, signed all of the documents, was told that there was a golf ball sized HOLE IN THE ROOF OF THE CAR.They store their cars in random lot blocks away, don’t take good care of them or their customers. I will never step foot there again.
I am so VERY happy with my experience at Maita Subaru! Tony, Randy, Ken, and Paul were so easy to work with and gave me a great price on my new Crosstrek. The integrity and honesty of the individuals I worked with is unmatched! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new car. Great service, great people!
This dealership has outstanding customer service!!! Was planning to stay, has great social distance practices and covid precautions in place, but they offered me a ride home and pick up later when my car is ready at their expense!!! Dont see service like this very often. So happy I joined the Subaru family 😍
I made an appointment to get two recall issues and my 6000 mile service done. Was supposed to be done in one day but unfortunately one of the recalls required a part to be ordered. The communication from my service adviser was great and I was able to keep my loaner car till mine was fixed which was important to me considering I had no working radio, bluetooth, navigation or backup camera in my Outback. My biggest complaint was that my car was not washed when I came to pick it up like it was supposed to be. :( This is the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars.
I did NOT HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT Maita! I was tricked into coming in before it was convenient for me, they gave me a lot less than my trade-in was worth, and did not respect my time at all while I was there. The salesman did his personal email at the desk while I was waiting for someone to make the sale, and did not even go over the features of the car with me, even though I asked him to. It was a horrible experience, and I will never buy another car from them, and WOULD NOT recommend them. Cant give them less than one star, so I guess 1 star means they were horrible.
I drove from the mountains to buy my Subaru here. Why? After working with two other dealerships that I shall not name, Daniel Espero at Maita listened to me, and gave me the best customer service and car buying experience I have ever had. He was great to work with over email, and great in person when I came to the dealership. Amazing!!
This is our first Subaru. We visited two Subaru dealerships. The reason we bought here was because they had our exterior and interior colors. Our experience was very good for the most part. The dearlership had a nice ambience. We felt relaxed and welcomed. Everybody was friendly and ready to help. So far, we are pleased with the car and the service.
I brought my Forester in for its second regular service (oil change and possibly replacing the cabin filter.) The cabin filter request was due to all the smoke we have had in the valley from nearby fires. It was easy getting into the service dept. I was checked in and they were done in about an hour. This place was so much faster, clean, and good size waiting area. The service writers were nice; I had Ben and he was excellent. I highly recommend this location. I plan on bringing my car here for all future service needs. Thank you!
Have been wanting a Subaru for awhile. I have other family members who own Subaru’s and love them. So I went to Maita Subaru to look, test drive and buy. My sale person Terry was great He help me with my questions and information and the vehicles . I ended up buy an Impreza. It’s been a month and I am loving it. The staff at Maita Subaru where great. Thank you so much.
This was my first time at a Subaru dealership and let me say this was an amazing experience. My sales rep Ben was an honest person and the experience was very enjoyable. After purchasing my vehicle my girlfriend was so impressed we went back and bought another car!!! Ben again was awesome, quite frankly everyone there was, Ken, Mike and Eric are all great guys and have made a life long customer. If you want to feel like you are joining a new family, this truly is the place to go. Thanks again everyone and I can’t wait to come back to do it all over again.
I love Maita Subaru! You guys are awesome! Ive been bringing my Outback to you guys for over 5 years and I couldnt be happier. Ben is my Service Advisor and hes AWESOME!! Thank you for taking such good care of my car all these years, and for the amazing customer service!
The manager Darrell is absolutely disrespectful. This dealer is unprofessional and condescending. I took my car in to get a diagnosis and they charged me and told me they fixed the problem when all they did was unplug a light set. When I expressed my concern that it wasnt the light that was causing the problem they disregarded my concern as if I had no idea what I was talking about. Not even 5 days later the problem came back and when I called to tell them about it (yes I was upset at the time because I had paid them and they had done nothing to fix my car) Darrell argued with me for 30 minutes. He was very rude and hostile and defensive and refused to acknowledge the issue. He also failed to correctly take down my mailing address so that I could be refunded the money I paid them despite the fact that I confirmed it with him when we spoke on the phone. When I called back a few weeks later to confirm the refund (this time I was not upset and was being very kind in communicating) I was met with the same hostility and unprofessionalism. If you are looking to get work done on your subaru save your time and money and go somewhere else. As a company that should be centered around customer service you should be treating your clients with the utmost respect. The subaru franchise should be ashamed to have a dealer like this open. They are an absolutely disgrace to the subaru brand and what they stand for.
Classic bait and switch on pricing. Claim to be Transparent in there advertisement but nowhere near transparent when it comes to price.Online I clicked the Get Maita Value Price and was emailed a price of $500 under MSRP that was good for 30 days! Sweet. 2 days later, I get another saying the price is now 6K OVER MSRP (And I never asked for a 2nd price). So I go in that weekend and the sales guy says they have to honor the original price. Well guess what? The Sales Manager just had to get his Price Gouge on that day and wouldnt budge. Told them I would go up to roseville or Shingle Springs where they had what I wanted and were not price gouging, but apparently the sales manager told the sales guy who told me you cant get this car anywhere else lol. I Bought my 2021 WRX STI 2 hours later at Autonation Subaru in Roseville for MSRP!I get lots of dealers are price gouging, but dont quote me a price under MSRP, say its good for 30 days and then jack it up 6K 2 days later.I will NEVER come back to a maita dealership after this. And I used to work at one!Go to autonation if you dont want to get price gouged!
I am so happy to have found Maita Subaru. When I moved to Sacramento from NJ, I had to re-establish my life. A recent recall and problem with my Crosstrek was quickly and efficiently resolved by Maita. Their staff are always courteous and willing to help. Their wait area is clean and comfortable, with complimentary coffee, tea, or water.
Really good purchase experience. Taylor is a friendly and nice guy. He was always trying to talk about something interesting with me while we were waiting for his manager to apply for a reasonably good deal. Anyway, need a car, come here at Miata Subaru; Wanna have a good purchase experience, find Taylor.
This is a new review; better review from 3 months ago. This transaction is much better than anticipated. It took a while for technicians to diagnose & resolve but Curtis & Ben were courteous, thorough & excellent in customer service skills making sure everything goes well amidst some glitches. Giving 5 stars this time.
Love this dealership! Recently purchased a Subaru Forester and could not have had a better experience. The staff went above and beyond to show us all the cars that matched our needs and budget. They are extremely dog friendly. Sherry Kharrazian made the car buying experience very easy and stress free. She went out of her way to show me every detail of the car, including every interior button and setting, which was very helpful. Cannot recommend this place enough. Unbelievable service!
We have two Subarus, a 2014 Crosstrek which we bought new, and a 2014 Forester, which we bought used from Maita. Both have been fantastic cars, and we couldnt be happier.Maita is our closest dealership, and both our cars receive their regular maintenance there. Most recently, our Crosstrek received an oil change and safety check. Our vehicle was check in quickly, and our service agent took notes over what we wanted done our car. We left the car to do errands, and in less than an hour, received a call that it was ready. Our care was washed, and the safety check was attached to our invoice. The price is cheaper than the rapid oil change shops found everywhere, and we had the confidence of knowing that our car was serviced right the first time with quality ingedients and an eye toward optimum operation. We will continue to go to Maita for our servicing needs, and fully expect to buy another Subaru from them in the coming years. They are immaculate, professional, and consistently excellent in everything they do for our cars!
Id give these folks 10 stars if I could.Initially I wanted to buy local (Chico), but when I got hosed by the disrespectful sales department at Chico Nissan Hyundai (see my review there), I worked with the sales dept. here at Maita. W O N D E R F U L!They were kind, courteous, agreeable and completely all about the customer. They bent over backwards for me, but werent aggressive (which is why I tend to buy via the Internet, I cant stand pushy sales people). My transaction took under an hour to complete, a bit longer to finalize because I wasnt financing, I was paying cash after the sale of our home; but it was all worth it. Theyve restored my faith in good customer service. But that aint all, folks! Their service is outstanding! Well priced, courteous, fast, efficient and thorough. On the milestone service calls that last all day, theyll even give you a rental for the inconvenience. Wow!Its worth the drive (even at todays gas prices) to go down there, be pampered and know that Im in really good hands. My next purchase will definitely be from Maita!
I feel as though I was lied to in order to get me into the dealership. I called ahead to see if a particular vehicle was available and to see what we could do on it. The salesperson said yes, and that theyd been trying to sell it for a while. 30 minutes later I arrived and they didnt know where the car was for 10 minutes. Then found it at sister store 5 minutes away, but couldnt contact them because phone were down. They physically went to check and 15 minutes later told me the car had sold. I dont care that the car sold. Im really displeased at the organization, professionalism and underhanded feeling I am left with. Recommend elsewhere.
I took my Impreza to this location to get repairs done for recall parts. From the very beginning the experience was really unpleasant. The young woman with the red hair who works at the three desks was really hard to talk to and didn’t seem like she even want to help me at all. She was rude. I talked to John and he got me squared away and two days later I came to pick up my car. When I went to turn it on it didn’t start. John let me know that some light had stayed on and that they had to charge the battery. It took almost another 30 minutes and I had a feeling they negligently let the battery die. They kept telling me to just take the car home and replace the battery soon. When I got home I turned off the car and could not get it to start again. When I took my car in it was starting normally. Why after I take it in for repairs does it come out dead? Unhappy with the service and completely disgusted with the service team!
First stumbled on this place in 2001 looking to repair a chipped wondow -- they fixed it immediately at no charge. When I needed maintenance on my forester I went back and service was good. I am now on my second new Outback purchased from maita. Service team is excellent. Ben lee and David ate two advisers I have worked with and both are great. Kudos to Maita!
We had our check engine light come on in our 15 Forester with diagnosis code P0171: System too lean. Took the car to our mechanic who advised us to take it to the dealer because it is more than likely the O2 sensor and it is covered by warranty. So we took it to Maita Subaru who ended up trying to gouge us by saying that the right camshaft is leaking so much that it was leaking onto the O2 sensor and thats why we kept getting the check engine light. They recommended resealing the right camshaft and then tried to recommend that the left camshaft should be as well for precaution with a total of $2850!!! They charged us $204 for the diagnosis fee and we took the car back to our mechanic who checked into what Maita said and told us, NO, its the O2 sensor. Research on this diagnosis code shows a very high percentage is that the O2 sensor causes this issue. He cleaned up everything around the right camshaft and that there was nothing wrong with it. Had him replace our O2 sensor and guess what...no check engine light. This should have been covered under warranty and not cost us a cent but these dealer service centers make up stuff like this camshaft so they dont have to do free work on their warranties for a faulty O2 sensor. I will never understand why anyone wastes their time and money and go to dealer shops just to be ripped off and price gouged. Take your vehicle to small business shops. Very unhappy and should get a refund for the diagnosis fee along with the bill I had to pay my mechanic to fix the problem that Subaru should have fixed in the first place under warranty. The technician that recommended we do something that wasnt even the reason why our check engine light was on should be reprimanded for a false diagnosis. We paid over $800 to get our problem fixed and it was no help going to you guys for a false diagnosis. If we would have been gullible and gone with your technicians false diagnosis recommendation we would be in the hole $2600. It cost us $204 for a false diagnosis report and then another $608 to have the real problem fixed, the O2 sensor, and not this false diagnosis of the camshaft causing the O2 sensor to trigger the check engine light. This all should have been covered from the emissions warranty but your technicians will make up anything to avoid a free service covered under warranty but Im sure theyre trained to do so. Very dishonest and untrustworthy.
The sales staff is great. However, I have issues with the service department. The service representatives take poor notes on problems and then cant replicate them. For example, on my second to last visit I described a problem where I could pair my phone with the stereo, but as soon as I shut off the car it would forget the device. They wrote it down as phone wont pair with stereo and then the service tech, not surprisingly, couldnt replicate the problem.Today I went in to get two issues cared for: (1) I can smell unburnt fuel coming out the tailpipe when I first turn on the car in the morning and (2) the passenger airbag does not work when the car is very cold such as when I get in the car after a day of skiing. The service representatives wrote up only one issue, the fuel issue, and wrote it up as customer smells burnt fuel when car is cold. When I pointed out the issues to the service representative, they never apologized, just said oh.In addition, when I described the airbag issue they asked if I had used any electronics in the car. Im pretty sure the airbag should work no matter what electronics I use in the car. If not, there should be a recall on the car.Needless to say, Ill be finding another dealership to perform warranty work in the future.
I cant say enough about my experience with Maita, particularly Zeke Wong.Buying my new 2013 was not an impulse purchase--it took over three years of practically stalking the dealership, getting as much information as I could. There was also a design issue with the roof rack on some of the older models, so I was very vocal with the Corporate office as well. They do listen to their consumers and loyal Subie owners and this year, they have a new and improved rack set up! SOLD!Throughout the last three years, I stopped by Maita regularly and asked all KINDS of questions. Zeke was very response and immensely patient with me. This was no easy sale. Truthfully I CANNOT say enough good things about him and everyone at Maita. One more tidbit: I also use Maita for a lot of service needs. Lea is a fantastic service coordinator--and Ive always found the entire service department to be fair and reasonably priced.Im a very, very happy Subaru owner! Like the previous reviewer, I wish I could give ten stars too! Thanks to all of you!
We have nothing but good experience with Maita Subaru. I took my Crosstrek in for the first time. I purchased it previously owned from another dealer. Ben greeted me at the door and immediately got me checked in. It was a spendy service, as it was my 50k-60k mile, so they would be performing a lot. The offer of a loaner vehicle was huge for me. Ben even gave me a choice of three models! I was pleased to drive out of there in a new Crosstrek, so I could still get on with my busy work day. When I returned shortly before they closed, Ben continued the friendly attitude he had in the morning. Thanks Maita for taking good care of our Outback and Crosstrek and making us feel like valued customers!
I went to Maita Subaru on 05/29/17 because online there were quite a few used cars. I was greeted by an associate who seemed to be in a rush, Hows this one? Do you want to get this one? He showed me 3-4 cars that were within my budget, apparently all the used cars online are not on the lot. After asking about a Memorial Day special, the associate replied with My manager hasnt said anything about a special. Seeing as we were getting ready to leave because the customer service was under par, they sent another associate. This associate was very helpful, he treated us like real people. We did a lot of negotiating (at least an hour and a half) but finally came to an agreement, they would give me $2000 for my trade in and that would go towards my down payment. The assosicate advised me that I needed proof of full coverage insurance, understandable, so I purchased it. When we get to the table to sign the papers, apparently they were giving me $1400 for my trade in and I would need to have a $500 down payment within 2 weeks. That was not what we agreed upon at all. Frustrations ran high at this point, the associate tried making us feel like we were making a bad decision by walking away. We asked for our key back, we were done at this point and we left. When I contacted my insurance about cancelling the policy that I purchased for a car that I did not finance, they stated that I needed a letter from the dealership to cancel. Ive reached out the dealership on 4 separate occasions, with no reply. Then I receive a letter in the mail from Maita Toyota stating that I didnt qualify for a loan, through a different bank! Just ridiculous. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.
I had an awful experience. I was told by their salesman agent Terry that the vehicle that I wanted was there (keep in mind I have been dealing with him for over a week). I made it very CLEAR to him that I’m not from the area and I’m 6 hours away. It’ll take me a least 6 ½ hours to get to their car lot and if anything changes by the time I get there to let me know. He told me that I should trust him and to assure me he sent me photos via text. Approximately 6 hours later when I got there I dealt with a different salesman and discovered that the car was sold YESTERDAY! Obviously I was very upset and felt tricked. All Terry had to do was to let me know that he made a mistake and the car was sold! I’m just very disappointed with him and the fact that they didn’t even try to make it right. I asked for gas reimbursement but the salesman manager ignored me and tried to sell me a different vehicle over and over. Basically, I was getting the run around . I will not recommend this car dealership to anyone.
I had a great experience having a safety recall item on my Subaru Forrester taken care of by the service department at Maita Subaru. They even took care of a minor item at no charge and had my vehicle washed before I picked it up. To top things off they also paid for an UBER ride to and from the golf course nearby so I could practice my putting. I will definitely go back to Maita!
Service advisor Michael Buescher is amazing! I went in for an oil change and they found I needed a new battery and shocks. He checked and found it was under warranty. Since they didnt have the part he ordered it for me. Overall I received excellent customer service! Thank you Maita Subaru ! I recommend that you take your car here if you ever need work done. Everyone is very friendly and there is a nice waiting area to hang out at.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. What a terrible experience. I stopped by considering the purchase of a new Subaru, but their salesmen were incredibly incompetent. The first one lied to my face, only to be corrected by a member of their service staff. Complete waste of almost 2 hours of my time. Based on my brief interaction with the service Dept, I would consider returning for repairs alone.
One of the greatest car buying experiences ever! The fellas there are Awesome Eddie, Larry ensured we had one of the best times getting our new 2017 Subaru Forester, will be back.. (2018 update) Well a year later they succeeded again we got a 2018 Forester Alex was our Salesperson, and again a pleasant purchase experience!
I just took my daughters 2005 Outback here for service, after she was traumatized by the ridiculous quotes/service where she lives in LA . Maita did what I asked for, they kept me informed, the price was competitive, and they even washed the car. I wish all our cars were Subarus. Amazing. Jon in the service area was fantastic. No, I dont work for Maita!
So far so good...K was marvelous. Hes easy going, funny n knows his stuff..we will know tomorrow if we buy the car..depends on their final offer...We bought the Crosstrek Limited! I am thrilled w it. K was a really superb guy to deal with and as I wanted the most popular color, Periwinkle (tho they call it Khaki Gray, most mis named color EVER)he actually went out of state to get it..on his day off!! WOW!!! Thank you to all who made this happen..Wayne n Glenn too.My young neighbor saw it yesterday and flipped as its his dream car, color too..lol..cant remember ever having someones dream car before!Looking forward to fun n travels in it..and learning the entire, large owners manual..sooo many features 😳
While I wasnt able to purchase a vehicle from Maita Subaru due to limited inventory after the Memorial Day weekend, I did want to comment on the excellent service provided to me by Don Hutchinson. Don was easy going and thorough in covering all the details of an Outback and when I left because the color and interior combo I was looking for wasnt available at this dealership I was disappointed that I wasnt able to give Don and his team my business. If you are looking for a great dealership, I can tell you that this place is legit!
While browsing Maita Subarus online inventory found the perfect car for me. So I entered my information to acquire more information about this specific vehicle. I promptly received a call from Maita Subaru and made an appointment to test drive this vehicle. 5 minutes before arriving I received a 2nd call from Maita Subaru confirm my appointment stating that they would pull the car up front and have it ready for a test driving… Well I arrived only to only to find out they sold the car yesterday...YESTERDAY! Why in the world would you make any appointment to view a car they sold the previous day… then they tried to get me to look at other vehicles. None of which were comparable.. Talk about bait and switch. They blamed it on their system. But I cant see any dealership selling so many cars that they cant keep track of outgoing sells. Thats your part of your job. Total waste of time. I wouldnt recommend this dealership to my worst enemy. You can make a great deal elsewhere… not here. One star is to much. Dont even bother defending this review with some canned response from the owner.
These guys go above an beyond. My family and I drove 6 hours to see family, our clutch failed, and Maita was able to get it fixed THE NEXT DAY so we could get home (were not even local business!). Not only that, but they communicated with me throughout the entire process and did an excellent job with the repairs. I havent bought a car from these guys (yet), but their service department is as professional and helpful as it gets.
Very nice place to take your car for service. Prices reasonable. EEs very nice and helpful. I used to take my car to the Roseville Auto Mall and I really did not care for their service, took sooooo long, or their prices. I checked around and thought I would try Maita. Voila, they are the dealership I will continue to use from now on. For service and when needed, a new car.
Wow!!! Lost a sale over $555 dollars, 2 bay area dealerships will honor it but not Maita.UPDATE!Maita called me the next day and said they would honor the Bay area pricing plus an additional $300 off. Kay our salesman, was the BOMB! Appreciate how far they were willing to go to keep our business.
I recently leased a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. I received excellent customer service from everyone on the staff at Maita Subaru. The specific make and model of the car I wanted wasnt on the lot, so they called around and got it for me. Our sales associate, Daniel, was attentive, informative and caring. The finance person, Eric, explained everything in detail breaking it all down in a clear and concise manner. Even though I live over an hour away from Maita, I would definitely use them again. They got me over my car dealer phobia, of thinking Im getting taken advantage of, as soon as I walked through the door. They helped me stay within my budget. I appreciate the positive experience and I LOVE my Crosstrek! I would highly recommend Maita Subaru and their friendly staff to everyone!
I could not have been happier with my experience at Maita Subaru. I worked with Mike Cook in purchasing my 2013 Subaru Outback and he was extremely knowledgeable and professional. It is a great car, great dealership, and was a great overall experience. I would highly recommend working with Mike and Maita Subaru to anyone looking to purchase a Subaru and will definitely be back when I am buying my next car. I actually have never had a better buying experience.
Buying a car can be not a good experience, but buying from Maita Subaru and Larry Bilger (the Salesman)....it was a hassle-free, enjoyable decision. The team at Maita Subaru made sure that we were comfortable with the information provided and that we understand how the new technology works in our new Outback. They even scheduled a time for us to return and spend time with a special staff person to go over all the functions of the car and answer any questions we had.
I’ve had repeated issues with the financial department. I was once told I would be called back in 10-15 minutes. Three days past and still no call. I called again, but was told the person I needed to speak to was not in the office and wouldn’t be back for 3 or 4 days. This was not the first issue I’ve encountered with them. My family is from Hawaii and so we were told to call weeks prior to us flying in. I tried countless times of calling and leaving messages, but my calls were never returned. So-and-so was on vacation and I was not able to make an appointment. The front desk scheduled me an appointment with so-and-so and when it came to the day of the appointment, so-and-so wasn’t in and wouldn’t be back until the following day. I was floored at the fact I cleared the whole day to take care of paperwork and being told the guy I was supposed to meet wasn’t there. The two stars are for the service people who always do a great job and are super nice.
We were lucky enough to work with Ben Guerrero. He made the purchase painless and was efficient with the entire process. He and the finance team were knowledgeable and courteous. Ben took extra time to explain the features and all the new workings in this beautiful vehicle. He always knew the answers to our questions and really understood the product.Thank you Ben.
Talked to Jose there in mid-December and told him exactly what i was looking for. Test drove the Ascent and he was very friendly but we had to leave to pick our kid up from school and told him we wanted to buy ASAP - later that day if possible. I asked what time he got off work, he said 8pm.Later that day around 7pm got a call from him asking me to come down to the dealership - he asked me to bring the wife and kid with me. So I put the 2 year old in the car seat and headed down there. He ended up dragging us to their storage lot and looking at all the cars there. They didnt have the car I specifically asked for (and Im quite certain he was aware of this), and he dragged me there to try to sell me another color or configuration. I told him very clearly again what I was looking for and he said we could search local dealer inventory for that one.Google said they closed at 9pm and I remember Jose saying he got off at 8pm, but I thought maybe he was willing to work a little late to make a sale. When 7:45ish started rolling around his answers started getting much shorter and a little ruder. He was obviously trying to kick me out. Turned out they closed at 8pm (the time he got off), not 9pm (like Google said). I told him they need to update the listing in Google Maps because they have the wrong time listed. When he said they could search local dealer inventory, he meant another day - not that night. Why did he have me drag my family (including my 2 year old) down there?I went home, searched local dealer inventory myself, and when Elk Grove Subaru opened the next morning I went there and bought the car I was looking for right away.Jose (or Maita Subaru) does not value your time. They wasted mine, and lost a sale. The only reason Im giving them 2 stars instead of 1 was because my first interaction with them (the test drive) was pleasant.Stop calling me trying to sell me a car. I bought one already.-Adam
I was given a pleasant and easy sales experience at Maita Subaru, my salesperson was Taylor Klisiewicz. Unfortunately a few days after taking this lightly used vehicle home I noticed that the stereo control panel was unresponsive, none of the buttons responded to being pushed and I was unable to change the radio or select a different audio source. I immediately called the dealership and was told to call back to schedule an appointment (I live in SF, the dealer is in Sac). A few hours later I got back in the vehicle but this time the control panel worked, being optimistic and not wanting to spend a whole day driving out to Sacramento I called the dealer back and said that I thought it was working again. The issue persisted into the next few days and I decided to just bite the bullet and go back to have it fixed. I called Taylor directly and explained the situation, after going back and forth with mechanics and various others at the dealership it was decided that because i didnt buy the $1,200 extended warranty they would not be able to help me. Essentially the dealer had sold me a poor product and was refusing to stand behind it and fix the situation. I expressed my dissatisfaction to Taylor and he said he would get me in contact with someone else at the dealership. After not hearing from anyone for a few days I sent him a text message with no response and wrote an email to the dealership (also no response). I highly recommend that anyone considering Maita save themselves the trouble and buy from someone else. The feeling of forking over 16k to a business and then having them refuse to even fix your radio a few days later is not one id wish upon anyone. Happy car hunting!
I love this place for the great people that work their. Eric Crothers was very helpful and professional. Made my son and I comfortable and we had fun. Clark (Kent) Viegas was full of life and ball of positive energy. We wont tell who you really are. Much love to the Subaru family on Auburn blvd. G-d bless.🌌
Had an appointment but could not even get someone to talk to me. People had to be very pushy to get help and I just wasnt pushy enough I guess? Waited 30 minutes, with an appointment and left. I did speak to someone and they said not enough staff today, sorry. Wont be bringing my car back there. Terrible service center experience as I certainly did not feel valued at all with my new Suburu
Top notch dealer with top notch staff. They made me feel like family and worked with my every request without trying to sell me something I didnt want. They were able to find the exact Outback I wanted, from model to color to options, and negotiated a great price. I would recommend any and all Maita stores (we bought a Honda last summer from Maita Honda).
MAITA SUBARUThis is a review of my recent Visit to Maita Subaru Service dept.At Maita Subaru I experienced a level of courtesy and professionalism that surpasses any Ive experienced at a Subaru dealership since our extremely unfortunate purchasing experience at Lashers Elk Grove Subaru.Starting with my conversation with Scott, who took the time to look up the TSB (technical service Bulletins) relating to our vehicle, then took the time to discuss them with me and schedule an appointment to address the issues. When I had to reschedule the appt at the last minute, they didnt bat an eye. When I was running late, I called to notify the service dept,The receptionist Laura cheerfully said No problem, Ill let them know.Fast forward. Upon arrival, Karina, a sweet young lady, greeted me and looked over the car, then John, the service advisor was attentive and gracious and took time to address all of my concerns. Thus far, The Maita Subaru Service department has far exceeded my expectations.I received my car back with a newly programed (Computer module thingy)Im happy to say. that finally our 2015 Outback is finally running smoothly, the way one would expect a new vehicle to run when you first receive it.From here on;Maita Subaru will be our Go To Dealership for All of our servicing needs.Thank You to the whole team and keep up the good work! :-)Follow up; I wish our car had continued to run smoothly, yet over time it bagan to run rough again. Its also had a long-term toxic odor upon start-up. We didnt buy our Outback from Maita...Unfortunately the ongoing problems that weve experienced with this vehicle are leading us in a direction of seeking legal recourse. My positive experience and reviews of Maita Subaru and John Peska as our Service person still ring true. Steller! Thanks John.
Went in with my husband while he was getting his Forester 3yr check up. Since he got the car in 2015 and I saw the Crosstrek for the first time... Ive been obsessing over the Crosstrek. Decided it was time to test drive one and decide if it stays on the list or not. I told the salesperson, Bert Johnson, that I wasnt looking to buy for another two years. Im driving a 2007 Prius that I still love. I have read up on the car, so highly rated by consumer reports. He didnt dismiss me or my load of questions, comparing the hybrid to the non-hybrid vehicle. He explained all the features, was so patient and nice, and no-pressure to buy now. The test drive was great, the Crosstrek stays on my list (of one). I would definitely recommend Bert to consult with on Maitas Subarus.
I had a small service snafu between visits where some warranty repairs were not completed and there was question in regards to head gasket possibly leaking that made a single trip into 2. Upon posting a review in regards to this experience manager Darrell Lewis actually reached out to me and wanted to make things right. He reviewed the orders and had a mechanic reinspect my vehicle and show the minor seepage from the gasket which is common per the engine design. This completely clarified and rectified the prior situation.
I ordered crossbars for my roof rack and within 2 days got an email indicating they were ready for pick up. So far so go. I responded asking about hours for the parts department. I was told that the parts department would be closed at 6 but that the crossbars would be left with reception in the Maita Mazda dealership. I show up shortly after 6 to be told that they arent there. I drove 45 minutes in Friday evening traffic only to be told that I can pick them up Saturday. Worse yet, the same thing happens Saturday. On this visit the receptionist didnt even try to help. I asked if there was anyone else I could talk with and she just said no. Not only did she not help the situation, she made it worse with her complete indifference. I had to ask to speak to her manager before she went to get someone else from the service area. Ricky was very apologetic and said that they would make arrangements to get the crossbars to me Monday. Got an email today from Chris indicating they would be shipped and arrive Tuesday. I think Ricky is the only one that understands customers service.
I want to say thank you to Maita Subaru for being one of the best car buying experiences Ive ever had. I can honestly say if youre on the market for a Subaru I cant say enough that these guys are awesome!!! Ask for Eric Crothers and tell him Kevin and Holly said Hello
Love taking my Subbies to this place. They have an online scheduling system that actually works! I take my Forester in for routine maintenance, the staff provided a Shuttle/Lyft to drop me off and pick me up from downtown when my vehicle was ready. Plus they threw in a complimentary car wash. Better service than the dealer I bought my car from!I also took my Baja for airbag recall, and they did not hesitate or give me any grief as some other dealers can be about recalls.
Phil Gundry provided us with the most courtesy and knowledge of his product than any other salesman we spoke with while shopping for our new vehicle. He was most patient in helping my wife and I find exactly the right vehicle for us. The entire experience gave a feeling of professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and caring. I must say that the final price of the vehicle was very fair and very easily accomplished thanks to Phil and Alex. Vang was very professional and thorough with the paperwork and financial part of the purchase. I will most definitely return to Maita Subaru Mazda again to purchase a vehicle and will recommend this dealer to my family and friends.
Ive taken my outback for years to Maita. This time when I picked up the car I immediately noted that the lumbar support on the drivers seat was no longer working. It had worked fine when I brought the car in. When I pointed this out to the service advisor I was told that it is common for lubar supports to break and that they could schedule another appointment to give me an estimate for the repair. I didnt take my car to maita to have my seat broken under their watch and then hear them offer to have me come back so they can charge me for the repair. Zero stars Maita.
Newer facility with decent accommodations while waiting for your vehicle to be serviced. Staff are pleasant to work with and I dont feel rushed about the services rendered. They offer free snacks, coffee, bottled water and plenty of plug ins for your electronic devices. They offer a kids corner as well so its a friendly place to bring a long children as well. Biggest plus is that they also doggie treats for your best friend
Friendly and helpful beyond my expectation. I always found parts for my old Subaru with these guys, but buying a car with these folks made that painful process very easy. I couldnt be happier about the purchase of my new 2016 Forester. Much thanks goes to Don and Vang, great guys.
Maita Subaru is our go-to place for service on our Crosstrek. Everyone actually seems to know what theyre doing. I was having problems with my Bluetooth and found out I needed a new computer. They replaced it in about 2 to 3 weeks and its been great since. I was really glad the car was under warranty!
After the most awkward experience, we left and bought a car in Fairfield. Ben Rios was our salesman and im certain he never even asked us our name (???). We sat there while he typed on his keyboard, never asked us any question outside of our address and what branch of military my husband was in. Just sat there. Quiet. No guidance on what he was doing or about to do, a timeline, pricing....nothing. Just silent. I asked if we could maybe look at some ballpark numbers, he said his manager does that. K. More silence. Yall i dont know what the deal was. Then he got up and left us. We felt like a burden so decided we should go. He said ok and told his manager who said ok thank you without even turning around to look at us. K. Very odd experience. So this review is for Ben. Do better. Engage your customers. And definitely treat folks better.
0 Stars, the web app makes you put at least 1 star or they wont let you post. 06/03/2016: I had been working with a salesman, Don White for a few weeks and we test drove a couple Subarus with him and decided we would purchase a 2016 Outback Premium. We made an appointment to come back and purchase the Outback from Mr. White at Maita Subaru and Mr. White assured my wife and I that he would notify us when the model Outback we wanted came on to the lot and make our buying experience as easy as possible. Mr. White never called, so I called him; twice in fact, and the last of which was today to remind him that my wife and I would be driving in to meet him after we got off work. Mr White assured me that Maita had the vehicle we wanted and that he would still be at the dealership when we arrived. I even went as far as finding an Outback for him to sell me. When I called close to noon today, along with reminding him of our appointment, I gave him the VIN number of an Outback that according to the Maita Subaru Web Site, was available for sale on 6/3/2016. When we arrived at Maita for our appointment, Mr. White was busy with other customers and seemed surprised to see us. Mr. White walked me outside and directed me to where the Outbacks were located and reported to me that there were a few white Outbacks out there to choose from and that another salesman, Allen, would be right out to assist us. Allen never showed. After looking at every Outback on their lot and not finding the one with the VIN I had provided to Mr. White five hours before I arrived with my wife; I went back into the showroom and ran into Allen. Allen took the sheet I had printed from the web site containing all the information about the car we had come in to buy and went outside briefly to look for the Outback I was searching for. Allen said he too could not find it and then went and sat down at one of their computer terminals to search inventory for the car. After a few minutes of hunt and pecking, Allen reported that that car had been sold. Needless to say my wife and I were very annoyed and when we reported our experience to a sales manager, he seemed to care less. This was perhaps the worst customer service I have ever received. The least Don White and Maita Subaru could have done was check their inventory. Remember, I gave Mr. White the VIN number to a car five hours before we came in. This dealership appears to be poorly ran and staffed by a lazy and apathetic staff. I suggest any potential Subaru buyers steer clear of Maita and look elsewhere. Going to follow up with Subaru Corporate ASAP.
I have a 2017 Forester. I need to have the front passenger SRS airbag sensor in the seat replaced. I have yet to hear from Subaru. I know that there must be a national issue due to my request to have the sensor ordered has been weeks. My service agent also mentioned that it may be ‘sometime’ before a replacement is in stock. They had me sign a liability waiver ,which was not a waiver at all, or give me a rental for the foreseeable future. Not happy. I will reach out to them again to see if there is a resolution. I’m not holding my breath.Yikes.*Update to post* *3/11/2019*Just received a call from the gentleman below. Was not impressed with his demeanor. Maita Subaru reached out to me today regarding my bad review on Google. He said “I think you know why I’m calling you” referencing my complaint he continued that his associate offered me a loaner car and he doesn’t want me driving an unsafe car. He then continued that ‘his hands are tied’ and ‘what more can I do, I have sent the emails to Subaru” and he finished off by pressing me to get the rental. I appreciate the response and maybe I am just one of those crazy customers but I did not appreciate your tone, and your defense of your company for my review on Google that “Slammed” you.Next time you call me Maita, make sure you have a sensor to install into my car.I love my Subaru Forester. But I’ll tell you. The customer service leaves a bit to be desired. You can send a letter out about my wife’s 2018 Outback needing a update to the Harmon Kardon stereo. You can issue a recall notice for her gas light not being programmed correctly. You can extend the 2017 and 2018 CVT warranty but what you can’t do is ensure the occupancy sensor for a life saving feature of our cars is working.Yikes yikes.*Update 3/14/2019**second edit*Missed a call 3/13/2019. Maita Subaru parts department let me know that the sensor came in and was ready for install.Attempted call back 2x and was put on hold.Went home and scheduled an appointment via the Subaru app. Got a second set of calls. Today 3/14/2019. Set up and verified my appointment for 3/18/2019 for install.Just to note, you may get a quick response when a or so great review hits Google. All in all I am glad that the situation is resolving and will update one more time after my car is served to close out this chapter. Awarding another gold star for good behavior.
Bought my first Subaru, 2016 Outback, from this location at the end of April 2016. The salesman was amazing and he made sure the answer every question we had. Made sure we found the car that fit my familys needs. I will definitely recommenced Maita Subaru to everyone who is looking for a new vehicle. Finance was a breezy especially since we were shopping with our two month old. Will be returning in the future when we need another vehicle.
Started out with AMAZING service only to be completely disappointed and let down.First contact was made in late November, I had been looking for some time now for a very particular Ascent so I was calling from out of the area. I live 3 hours away but was within the 200 mile radius he made me aware of right off the bat. The sales associate was very knowledgeable and very upfront and honest almost like he wasn’t actually a “car salesman” had a genuine care in his voice for what I wanted didn’t try to sell me anything I didn’t want that they had, he genuinely listened to what I wanted, and found what I wanted. We stayed in contact through the coming weeks, he made me aware the car was still in transit but on schedule and that he hadn’t forgotten about me. He tells me to get as many offers as I can for competitive pricing and they will do all I can to make this transaction flawless and painless.Multiple conversations later, vehicle arrives on lot, he sends me pictures of the vehicle. My wife and I absolutely love it and offer to put a down deposit down to hold the vehicle. He makes me aware I can’t do something like that over the phone but the car arrived on a Friday and it wouldnt be on the lot until Sunday morning sometime. We talk price and he makes me a verbal offer over the phone which I asked for a “ballpark” figure so I could get my down deposit in order. I make an appointment with him to see the vehicle. We’re are in constant contact all day from beginning till about an hour before I’m set to arrive at the dealership and he responds with telling me he will see me at the time we set up and all is good and he will have the keys ready when we get there.Keep in mind, I had just gotten called into work that morning at 3am on a Sunday and left work early at noon to be able to make the appointment on time. My wife is 8 months pregnant and we have a 2 year old baby girl. We drove 3.5 hours in pouring rain, accidents, poor drivers, traffic etc but finally arrive with smiles on our faces because the Ascent is parked front and center for us to see. I’m greeted by a man that seemed a little odd to me (which became clear later) I asked for our sales associate who I had never met and he laughs and calls for him and makes a snide remark towards him. I think nothing of it and we shake hands and introduce ourselves as we walk to his office. Mind you, it feels like something like 10 employees are all watching us...awkwardly. Again I’m still oblivious to what is going on and we sit down, I think nothing of it because it’s a Sunday in December and it’s only us and one other couple and roughly 10 or more employees all starring or trying not to stare more or less.He finally tells us, “I have some bad news. The couple next door is buying YOUR Ascent.” It all starts making sense while my blood pressure starts to build rather quickly, my wife on the other hand is still thinking this whole thing is a complete joke. I used some choice words. Something like “your F-ing joking right?!” “You just let me and my 8 month pregnant wife drive 6 hour round trip just to tell me you sold the Ascent you made out to be mine?” He tells me they came in ten minutes before we did. Before I completely lost my composure I politely told my wife we’re leaving...NOW. And we left before anything else was said. We again left feeling like the laughing stalk we walked in unaware of being. One hour later the salesman calls me to apologize...sincerely. He seems like a younger man that shouldn’t be in car sales because he actually has a heart. He was professional and courteous. You could see the disappointment on his face and you could hear it in his voice. I do NOT blame the sales associate at ALL! I blame his leadership and the owner of Maita for setting him up for failure and making a mockery of my family. They were all hovering like vultures waiting to see our reaction. This is one of multiple sales lost. I will make it my duty to be sure that no one, I know buys here. The BBB will be notified and Subaru North America.
Service department is great. Sales department is so bad that my husband and I drove 45 minutes to Shingle Springs to buy both of our Subarus. For our latest Subaru we knew exactly what we wanted but the sales associate who helped us (dont know his name because he never told us) was so unprofessional and rude that we just politely left. Maybe its just my luck at this location where every time I get a sales person who is inept but thankfully Shingle Springs is great and its out of the way but they are so much easier to work with.
Wish I could do no stars...I bought my Subaru from here. The transaction was easy but thats where it stops. I had an issue where my windows werent going down. So I took it there and the service guy told me that rats ate the wiring. He then said my car will be there all day and they offer a free shuttle to my house. I mention that I live in Fair oaks, no prob..I said let me stay for a couple of hours. Two Hours passed, they are still looking at my car, I asked for the shuttle. He then said I need to do Uber or Lyft. WHAT! I did get the shuttle home, after 8 hes there, bit was a blown fuse! 185.00 later. I go and pick up my car, pay for it. I was not asked for ID or my last name! They handed me the keys and said thanks. I will say I did complain the next day after I paid for it, they did refund me my money. But I still wont go back
I purchased a Subaru in Redding and about 8 months later while visiting family in Sacramento, my tire was punctured while driving. I took my car into Maita Subaru at 9:00 a.m. They assessed it to see if the tire was salvageable (it was not) and had a new tire on it a couple hours later. They were able to look up my extended warranty through my VIN number and see that the cost was mostly covered through Subaru. They were more than accommodating and I was so happy to have it taken care of before I had to head back to Redding.
My husband and I walked in with a hefty down payment in pocket, and ready to buy a Subaru. Three salesman talking/sitting with each other looked at us, looked at each other, and then ignored us.We walked around looking for someone until a man on a computer noticed us and pulled a salesman to work with us. We told him we wanted to know their lease to own options as well as the differences between their used 2018 Outbacks and the newer 2019 models. He immediately tells us they dont do any discounts on top of the advertised pricing and tries to show us older 2015 outback models that were the cheapest used cars they had. We had been to Fairfield subaru and they gave us a good quote for a discount and low financing, and when we told the guy, he rudely asked if we had it in writing and that if we did maybe he can work with us.His attitude overall seemed like he thought we didnt have enough money to be a serious buyer and he was very stand offish. We didnt even catch his name because he didnt give it to us, nor did he give us a card after we told him we wanted to talk about our options. He was an older gentleman with maybe a Greek or Russian accent; maybe he was just a bad salesman but try to avoid dealing with this man if possible. We went back to Fairfield subaru and completed our papers and are now walking out much happier with a brand new 2019 Subaru outback from a more professional and kind company. I highly recommend the staff team at Fairfield subaru over maita. Courtesy and respect goes a long way.
I came to this dealership with my nephew to buy a 2019 wrx. My nephew found a car with the color scheme hed been looking for in stock. We spoke to a salesman and test drove the car he had chosen. The salesman was Greg Gagen. An older gentleman, very unenthusiastic, that didnt seem to care to sell the vehicle to my nephew. My nephew said he wanted to run some numbers to see If he can get a good APR on a loan. The salesman asked for his credit score and if he had ever financed a car from a dealership before. My nephew told him 713 but that he had never financed a car through a dealership. He proceeded to ask my nephew about his income and how much he could put down, and my nephew responded with 50k a year and he had about 3k for a down. Without running his credit, the salesman said he should be able to get this car but without having ever financed before, that it might be hard.I told him that with more reason we should run his credit, where-in he responded if I run his credit, he has to be leaving with a car today. I told him that we want to see if he would even qualify first and that he wants to have time to think it through. I explained to him again that we need to see what numbers we are exactly looking at before he makes a decision. He gave us a mediocre ballpark of a monthly payment and told me once again that he wouldnt run anything unless he planned on taking the car home. I calmly asked him if there is anyone who can run his credit and numbers before we proceed with a purchase and he proceeded to give me an approximate less than 500 ballpark and asked if my nephew had cash on him. In total, we had spent 45 minutes with the salesman in total from beginning to end before we walked off. During the entire time, I found him to be soft-spoken and unprofessional. I felt that he had zero interest in trying to make this sale happen because he wouldnt proceed to run his information. I understand that salesmen have to meet a quota but his unwillingness to continue on this potential sale because we wanted to get some solid numbers to work with before we made a decision, was extremely amateurish, unprofessional and pushy. I made a point to tell him that if the payments and APR on the loan were favorable, that he would make the purchase. Overall, this experience with Greg Gagen was uncomfortable and irritating and will be the only reason why I will be purchasing a vehicle from Elk Grove Subaru. Thanks Greg.
0 stars (I would give Negative Stars if I could) - This Subaru has horrible customer service in the finance department. My husband purchased a WRX March 2016 and cancelled his maintenance package within 5 days of purchasing the car. Today is Nov. 3rd 2016, so 7 months later and we still have not received the credit for the cancellation and paying interest fees on the package. We have called several times and spoke with several different financial people. There are notes in their system that we requested cancellation and when we follow up, Subaru says it has been submitted, yet the bank has yet to receive anything! We have followed up month after month and still no answers. We are seriously having to chase and call Subaru every time. They fail at updating their customers and calling you back. We really feel like as soon as you purchase a car, they take your money, and could care less what happens after. The customer service ends when you purchase a car. So I would steer away from this dealership!
Great experience no hassle vehicle purchase, Sales Rep Larry Bilger provided prompt response to my internet inquires, answered all questions I had with no pressure to speed up purchase. I am very happy with the decision made to take the time and travel to Maita Sacramento.I have owned various Subaru models continuously since the 90’s and the new 2016 Forester is a great ride/buy, the more I drive the more I like the new Forester.
Bought a Honda civic today. Our service advisor Anar K. A wonderful man went above and beyond to facilitate us.i would gladly give this dealership 5 star but I wont.ReasonWe were there only customer at the end of day. Manager there he didnt greet us and no chit chat.Thats not important for most of the customers. Why for me because I wanted to leave the dealership with a smile and as a customer who would recommend others to buy their car from here. But it feel like that it was just sales agent Anar and finance guy Spears in dealership(both were great). But manager who is a pillar or a person who represent whole dealership wasnt friendly or I say was or is limited just to himself. Customers are customers and can be dealt by other agents. As a manager I just walk around or sit in my office. I dont like that. Again is it relevant.. yes for some people especially guy like me who is not a caucasian. I did notice something!!! Dont get me wrong at the end its just me and may be someone contact me regarding that and my answer in advance is may its just me.
Stay far away from this dealership. They tried every shady tactic in the book to try and get me to pay more for a vehicle which we had already agreed on a price. I guess they figured they had the upper hand because they had already ran my credit. I finally just got up and told them to F off and left. Serious waste of my time. Every person there just lied and back peddled and changed stories. It was truly truly a horrible experience.
Terrible Customer Service with a smile. I just wanted to buy a car. Cash in hand. I was lied to about available inventory to get me in the door. I was told they need to check my credit to find a vehicle. My credit is not an issue. Larry is the biggest con at that dealership with his vague explanations and carefully chosen words scattered throughout his meaningless comments being spewed through that terribly fake business smile. Their internet sales reps are just liars, cut and dry. You can tell a lot about a dealership by how they treat their customers in the beginning of the month due to having the next 3 weeks to hit quota. Ill be letting all of my clients know to stay away from this place when buying a vehicle.
New location is great and they have such a huge selection of new and used cars to choose from. The staff they have is phenomenal especially Alex from the Internet department 🏬 He got me such a great deal on my new car (as it was my first time ⌚ buying a NEW CAR 🚙 and ive never been more satisfied with the professionalism and customer service i received. Everyone needs to come and get themselves a Subaru from Maita and remember Alex!! ⚡
I was not the easiest customer to deal with. I went into Maita Subaru with a plan that I refused to deviate from. But, my credit was not the best. Nevertheless, my salesman, Allen Hum and the rest of the Maitia Subaru team made me feel valued and understood. They did not attempt to make me feel inadequate due to my challenged credit.I will definitely recommend Maita Subaru to my friends and family.
A week ago I came to see the subaru outback, I approached the seller, and he did not ask me to look, but I ASKED his keys for him to open the car for me and look it out from inside, after which he did not willingly answer that she was looking at the car as a car , I once again asked him to bring the keys to that he again did not willingly go after them. I did not fill his name but he was the oldest in age and short. My wife really wanted a car that costs $ 30,000, and with such attitudes towards the client did not even want to make a purchase in this dealer. The stores shop is good, but the robots name I did not remember is REFLECTIVE.
Short story: Buyer beware, Maita offers in writing are not honored. They ran my credit after I agreed to an offer in writing. Then raised the price of the car and would not honor the original offer. This is not a business of Honesty and Integrity Subaru of America talks about. I now have an additional pull on my credit report. I have worked hard to get my credit where it stands today. Its upsetting that a business can behave this way towards consumers/customers with no penalty.Full story:I went on a test driver Feb 18th and the internet sales manager Jamie asked me to send an email to become an internet sales customers. I provided a quote I got from another dealership that night. He wrote back via email on Feb 19th that he was approved by Maita management for $600 below invoice that I was asking for on a WRX limited. Jamie noted (email) the only issue he saw was an offer for my current trade in and that I should come into the dealership to get an appraisal. He also expressed in writing what a great deal I was getting on a WRX, $3114 off MSRP.I showed up Feb 19th after lunch. During negotiation on the price of my trade-in, Maita asked me to fill out a credit application to show I was a serious buyer. I kindly said lets agree on my trade-in value and I will be happy to fill out the report. Jamie, Maita management and I came to an agreement so I held my word and filled out a credit application based on my trade-in value and the offer I received on their WRX writing. They worked with me to get a great deal, so in turn I worked with them on my ask for trade-in and came down. While I was waiting, excited to be a new Subaru customer, Jamie requested a copy of my quote from the other dealer. I provided another copy and continued to wait.Jamie then returned saying that the quote I was given had an optional shipping cost of $825 and they were now raising their price roughly the same amount. First, I was not shipping the car. Second, we agreed to the price of the WRX in writing from the original offer I sent. So I am not sure why all of the sudden they were changing their price. We negotiated this deal from the beginning. To top off this bait and switch Maita still ran my credit even though I disagreed to their new price. Our agreement (again I have the price of their car in writing) to run my credit was based off the numbers we agreed on for trade-in and their WRX. They raised the price of their car after running my credit.I spoke with a finance manager Jamie brought out as well with no resolve. I submitted a claim to Subaru of America who talked to me about the honesty and integrity they hold dealerships accountable to but yet will not act with Maita Subaru on how they lied and conned me into filling out a credit report. I now have an additional pull on my credit report. I have worked hard to get my credit where it stands today. Its upsetting that a business can behave this way towards consumers/customers with no penalty.
Nice enough sales person when we were there in person, but overall a rather terrible dealership to work with. When we bought our new Subaru in December 2015, this dealer was the very first to blow me off by email. I was asking for price quotes specifically for a Legacy Limited 2.5 and didnt care about the color. I was receiving many emails from other Subaru dealerships negotiating the price and delivery date estimates. This dealer emailed me perhaps once or twice, but the only thing they win for is being the first to blow me off. They actually emailed a messaging saying they would be unable to help me any further! I guess they think they have so much business that customer service isnt required. I did end up buying my car from Gold Rush Subaru in Auburn and it was a very pleasant experience.
I interacted with three salesmen and two of them were excessively pushy. I had a pre-approval in hand and knew which car I wanted, thats not the time to turn up the sales pressure. One salesman told me and my wife Lets fill out and start signing paperwork but the car wasnt even on the lot so Id never seen it. I tried talking about the price, mind you I wasnt even negotiating yet and the guy told me that he wouldnt talk about the price until I filled out and signed the papers for the car that wasnt on the lot.It sucks because I hadnt actually heard many bad things about Maita before this and I would have just assumed it was a fluke event if there hadnt been a second aggressive salesman involved.Unfortunately for Maita, there are four Subaru dealers in the greater Sacramento area. I ended up getting the car I wanted in Roseville with very nice customer service. In the future Ill just stick to Niello or AutoNation dealerships.
Parts DepartmentI just called Maitas parts department for 6 small random things. Robert there couldnt have been more courteous, professional and helpful. Ive been calling around for parts and auto people arent always the kindest bunch. Speaking with Robert was a breath of fresh air after my many other phone calls. Great customer service!
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. Worst experience I have ever had. This dealership is just out to make money off of people. After buying a Crosstrek from this dealership I immediately had break light issues with my certified pre-owned vehicle. I didnt notice the issue until a month after owning the car when moisture was getting into my break lights. The dealer response, you signed the contract and its not covered in your warrant. I wouldnt recommend Maita Subaru to anyone!
Sold us a 2011 Forester that had an oil leak before we purchased the vehicle. Also the car is consuming oil. When we took the car in for an oil consumption test they overfilled the oil so after the 1200 mile test the car did not look like it consumed any oil. We took the vehicle to another local Subaru dealership for another oil consumption test and sure enough it failed the test. Do not buy from this dealership. They will lie to you as the customer and sell cars they know have problems and are lemons. All they care about is the money from the sale. They dont care about the customer.
We are going to pay cash for a car and they said they need to run our credit due to The Patriot Act. Researched the Patriot Act they only need to do a credit check when doing financing. We may not look like we have money but we couldve bought four of the cars we looked at. Never judge people by the way they look and we got judged today. Never will I do business with this company.
As a Subaru Ambassador, I am ashamed of this location. I gave this dealership 2 tries, as I initially bought a 2012 Subaru Impreza HB 2.0i from them. The short, overweight blond manager decided to throw a temper tantrum when I declined their offer for a 2018 Subaru WRX Base Trim. I was modest and upfront about my target budget, my trade in value, and what I wanted. The vehicle we were considering was sold in front of us. So I said I was no longer interested in a vehicle that was no longer there. He began throwing a tantrum about just wanting to make people happy and low balling my car, and saying my target budget was out of the question.Next time you try to pull a stunt like this, make sure its not a Subaru Ambassador. Your location has lost me as a customer for life.
Extremely disappointed with @maitasubaruofsac. I called a year ago when we bought the car to schedule a recall repair for the passanger side frontal air bag, and was told that they would call me when the part came in. I never got the call. I called back to make the appointment, and was told theres no weekend appointments, no loaner cars provided, and no shuttle service outside of 10 miles. I have a full-time job, an infant and kindergartener, and live in Woodland. Im stuck taking my car here because, as the recall letter states, the risk of no repairs is serious injury or death, and there isnt a closer dealer. So Subaru screws up, and I have to bring the car in, find and pay for alternative childcare to transport my kids, pay for the expense of transportation to get myself to my job and back to the dealer, and all they have to say is, Thank you for this opportunity to earn your service. The whole situation is really tone-deaf to the needs of Subarus working customers, not to mention the minimum effort they could make to accommodate to logistical challenges of fixing their potentially deadly mistake.
It was nice not to have to haggle to get a good price.. however the sales staff did not bring up the fact that even though the new car had the very nice 8 inch display, it did not have the navigation option,, and later they told me it was not available as an aftermarket option.. someone should have me me aware of this fact before purchase.. nice car but navigation comes with most cars in the 30k price range,, but not this one..
Went the other weekend to purchase a new Subaru and had less than par experience with Maita Subaru. We got an online quote from Jeff, one of the internet sales guys, and the day we showed up he wasnt there which was fine. They passed us off to the other internet sales guy (Im kicking myself for not remembering his name) and he proved to be the worse sales person Ive ever had to deal with. He let us test drive the the Outback and the Forrester, but wouldnt let us test drive the Forrester Turbo unless we were absolutely serious about purchasing it. So what if we werent? We said we really liked the Forrester model in Diablo and asked if they could transfer it to their site. He said he wouldnt transfer it for us said too much work and too costly. Then they would only offer us $700 for our old Subaru and when we told him wed sell it privately to get more money for it, he said thats better because the used car dept didnt want to deal with it and too much work for them. Then, he refused to show us the break down in pricing for the Forrester we were interested in because he wanted us to be 100% sure we would buy their car and not go to Diablo to buy the other one. We practically had to twist his arm to print out the pricing before we agreed to anything. He even had the audacity to say we could calculate it ourselves if we really wanted to know what our monthly break down would be and plus the manager was the only one on duty and at the moment he was busy. At that point I became so irritated and impatient with him I demanded he go get the price break down before wed agree to anything. Asked how much out of pocket it would cost to put on the silver bumper we liked on the car at Diablo and he said, I dont know. Again, we had to twist his arm to find out and instead of getting on the phone we all had to walk over to parts and services to talk to two people. The price sounded good so we were comfortable to move forward. We started the paper work and before we got our credit score back we told him forget about it. He told us, he didnt want to sell us the car anymore and walked off and immediately drove the Forrester back to the lot without another word. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! He was completely the antithesis of a cars salesperson if Ive ever seen one. On our drive back home we got on the phone with Gerry at Gold Rush Subaru and spoke to our other contact there who also gave us an internet quote. Took us 10 minutes to talk to the guy and he agreed to get the Forrester we wanted transferred to his shop at no cost to us, would take the blue book price for our old Subaru, would comp the silver bumper we wanted, and we could stop by the next day to test drive it and see if we wanted to move forward. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Thats exactly the experience I was expecting at Maita, but did not receive. We will never step foot at Maita ever again.
Excellent!!. We recieved a quick response from Larry to our internet price quote inquiry. He actually sent us a number. It was better than what we were seeing around the web. I made an appointment with Will via Larry to view and test drive. The fact that we had a price and we knew who we would be dealing with allowed my wife (and me) to feel better about going in to the dealership. Will Dean was very helpful and he made us feel very comfortable. I told Will that he would make a good marrage councelor because of the way he helped my wife and I work through our choice of color. Part of his help was to leave us alone to look and talk when we needed to. Will spent more time getting us aquainted with the features of our new car (especially electronic) than I have experienced before.Thank you Larry, Vang, Maita and especially Will. We love our new Outback. I am really impressed at how much car we got for our money and how easy it was to buy. It is going to take some time to buy a new car, but you all made it easier than it has ever been for us. I am genuinely greatful. Now if I could just find spell check.SincerelyMark Lucas
Maita is agood place to buy a Subaru. That being said, my 2015 outback had a factory defect that neither Matia or the Subaru corporation would do anything about. Now my 15 month old car with 14,000 miles burns oil. I dont think Subaru will do anything about that either since their tolerance is a quart every 1200 miles. The corporation has very low standards and doesnt stand behind their vehicles. If you have to buy one, I think that Maita is the best place to buy one, and their service people are very friendly. It isnt their fault that the corporation makes poor vehicles.
Thanks guys, i Love my new WRX! --> It was my first time financing a car and these guys went above and beyond to cut me the deal I was looking for. Buddy, Al and Mo really came though for me. They also helped me along every step of the way and made sure I left feeling like I had become part of the Maita Subaru family. Ill definitely be brining my car back for all the tune ups and will be keeping in touch. My Dad bought his Forester here in 2004 and Im glad I headed his advice to shop here. Since this was my first experience buying a car in a while I was worried about being taken advantage of, but the second I walked inside and met Buddy, I could tell he was a genuine person. He made the entire experience easy and fun. Thanks again guys, see ya at 3000 miles!
I took a long lunch hour and drove 60 minutes round-trip to look at a particular model of Subaru because they showed 20 vehicles their website (new car inventory). When I got there, there were only 4 on their lot. To see more, I would have been required to go to a separate lot a mile away after giving them my drivers license (so I could drive the car I wasnt interested in to/from). To complicate matters, they wouldnt have keys to open the cars unless I pre-determined which one or two I wanted to look at (a catch-22).The two people I dealt with were nice enough. Its just that their concept of a showroom is broken. If you visit because of what they show as inventory on their website, I recommend calling them before making a trip, and allowing extra time. For me, there are other dealers closer with more to show, so I wont be going back.
Last month I walked into Maita Subaru. I wanted a dark blue Forester. The salesman let me test drive a Forester, explaining all the new features. Unfortunately they didnt have one in stock. In less than 24 hours they located it and I drove off their lot in my new car. So far I am very happy with my purchase. I love it.
Brought my Subaru in and one of the service technicians did not want to take take a look at my subaru he assumed from the sound of my car that i needed a new transmission.... I thought i needed a new clutch ...he concluded that fixing the problem would cost more than what my car was worth...... TELLING ME I SHOULD JUST SELL MY SUBARU .... Insisting that looking into the problem wasnt worth it either .... I found another mechanic and my car just needed a new clutch/flywheel that all together cost less than $1000.00On another account (when i brought my car 4 months earlir)they didnt bolt down my engine after working on it..... I had to go back where i argued With the same guy that helped me the last time! the arguement was about how they couldnt bolt it down because i have a modified subaru... after a bit he brought my car back into the shop where they bolted it down beautifully😍I dont want to come here again ill just go to the rocklin store. Seems like they dont want to help me anyway. This place is very misleading when the website saysWe do so much more than just selling great new Subaru models and used cars. Even if youre happy with your current vehicle, we can handle all kinds of auto repairs and maintenance here at our service center. Youll be treated with that same level of customer service and our auto technicians are highly trained and experienced, being able to take care of all kinds of repair work and routine maintenance.
Upon reaching the dealership we informed the salesman that we were interested in buying a Subaru but we werent sure which one and that we wanted to test drive a few of them to figure out which one works the best for us. We went to look at the vehicles and after wandering around for 20 minutes, with no salesman there to explain the differences in models and realizing that the doors were all locked we went back to the salesman to ask if we could have them unlocked. He gave us quite a bit of attitude talking about how much of a inconvenience it was to walk in the heat to open up vehicles for people that may not buy them. After we found the right one we left to do more research. Later that afternoon I called back to speak with a sales manager to find out what paperwork was required to get approved for the loan in this conversation the sales manager started questioning why I was asking what paper work was required to get approved for the loanwhy are you asking all these questions do you work under the tablehe asks. I am the type of person who wants to be prepared as many are. The tone of voice and professionalism was not appreciated and we went to Roseville to buy our vehicle. If you do go there bring a notepad with you so you can write down what numbers they are talking. I noticed they werent very accurate on repeating the same numbers and it seemed misleading. I also feel that because my wife and I look 10 years younger than we are it might have effected the way they treated us in person.
I dont know what kind of business theyre running over at Maita, apparently they hold a grudge. Since my deal fell through and I left. I have received separate letters from Maita Subaru, Maita Hyundai, Maita Toyota and Maita Mazda saying that the loan I applied for has been denied from different lenders. I did not give them consent to use my information to apply for loans at their different dealerships. Ridiculous.
Wish I could give 0 stars. My mother called in asking about pricing on imprezas letting them know our max budget. A salesman named Taylor spoke to her and after checking with his manager Dave he offered that they could get us a new 2016 crosstrek out the door for a price within my max budget. She asked them to save the car he was speaking about and he said he couldnt guarantee that it wouldnt be sold before we came in (fair enough), but that they had a large stock of other imprezas/crosstreks for us to look at when we came in. She clarified because we were driving from the bay area and didnt want to waste our time when we were ready to purchase a car. When we arrived they had the aforementioned crosstrek in stock, but Taylor and Dave were supposedly busy so we dealt with Don for the time being. Don was shocked at the offer we were given on the phone and said we couldnt get the car for what we were promised over the phone without a written quote. Larry (manager/liar) and Taylor (salesman/liar) pulled us in to a finance negotiation room and pretty much accused my mother of being a liar after going back on their word, even after having her speak to them again in front of us. After insulting my mother on the phone in front of us we left. Very dishonest tactics used at this dealership, they will say anything to get you in the door. I would never ever come here to look at a car. STAY AWAY. Try Shingle Springs Subaru (nice, honest, not pushy, large stock, gave honest and fair pricing) or Roseville Subaru (ended up purchasing a crosstrek here for a fair price).
Went in for service on sat without an appt, my 16 wrx was acting funny, they helped as best as they could. 5 stars for them but I looked around saw a base model wrx met a sales guy dont remember his name, I think he didnt even tell me he didnt really show any interest in talking to me. I was thinking about trading in my wrx for a new one. But I guess he didnt wanna sell a car that day.

2021-12-06Excellent service. Service advisor Mike and Chris in parts were very helpful. Appreciate them actually listening to me. New customer. Two visits so far and very happy. Nice showroom. Great work. Knowledgeable staff. Friendly. They even provided a Lyft ride for me free of charge so I didnt have to sit for half a day in service or bug my wife for a ride. Lol. Highly recommended place to take your Subaru.

2022-02-14I had such a wonderful experience with Maita Subaru! My sales rep Angel was friendly and knowledgeable. He was patient and transparent with the whole process. The loan team worked quickly to get me approved for what my budget allowed and I was out the door in a few hours! Levi was wonderful in providing the post purchase virtual car walkthrough. He answered all of my questions and I can even text him if more come up (which they have ha)! Thank you to the whole team here. I love my Forester so much!!

2022-03-21Excellent experience buying from them, they were very conscience of my time and didnt push me to buy unnecessary things I already expressed I wouldnt be needing. Levi with the Subaru re delivery was awesome and helped me with the last few things I hadnt found out about which was very welcome. I will definitely be sending friends and family to this dealer!

2022-03-30The absolute best experience buying a car. I was literally in and out within 2 hours!!! And that’s with trying to get financing with a bank. I have never had a smoother experience purchasing a vehicle. There was no haggling, no back and forth, just presented vehicle at mrsp. I opted for gap insurance and an extended warranty but definitely was not pressured into buying it. Totally my call. (Thank you Lisa Park) And the car I purchased (Crosstrex Sport) is a phenomenal vehicle. I must say I am partial to this dealership because I purchased my first Subaru Outback here. I have been using their service department for ten years. (David White, my service advisor is incredible. Another reason I purchased here!!!) If you want great customer service definitely purchase your vehicle here.

2022-01-29Such a disappointing experience with trying to get an oil change twice. I bought my car new here and it comes with the first two oil changes for free. I live in Lincoln so it’s an hour drive each way. I tried to make an appointment but told it’s walk in only. The first time, all the technicians were at lunch- was told I could not be helped. The second time, I called a day ahead of time to make sure I could get an oil change this time and drove from Lincoln at 11am. I was told just to get there before 2pm and I would be good. As soon as I get there at 11:40, Im told all the technicians take an hour break at the same time and no one could help me with a blank stare and no solutions offered. What a joke and a waste of a two hour commute- twice. Never going here again or getting any other services done. Definitely not telling anyone I know to buy a car or get their Subaru serviced here.

2022-03-24I ordered my 2022 crosstrek from Maita Subaru and it was a great experience! It was an easy process and all the staff is super friendly, you can tell they actually care about their customers. Mason my sales rep was amazing at handling my order and keeping me updated on the status of my order. Levi was great with the encore services, making sure you know all the ins and outs of your vehicle. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a subaru to go through Maita!

2022-06-22Had okay experiences in the past here, but service said they wouldnt even look at my 2018 outback. I wanted a mechanic to check it over but they said they wont do anything for a salvaged title vehicle except mabey an oil change. I guess their shop is too good to check on the safety of the vehicle I just purchased! Re: maita response. They wouldnt even look at it. Not to check for leaks or to tell me if the airbags were missing. I realize the risks of buying salvaged but dont think a dealer repair shop should turn their nose up at any vehicle, especially a brand they sell.

2022-06-24Super friendly and helpful. They haven’t tried to pressure us into getting anything done that didn’t need to be done. They’re upfront about service and overall is a great dealership!
