It was dirty. Clothes all over everywhere. Womens clothes, which are from a different floor randomly strewn into the mens, just a giant sloppy childrens room is what the mens department looked like. Absolutely horrendous and the staff had no idea what any brand names were much less where they were.
We came for their First Act, they have 2 womens and upstairs is an extensive mens! AND...Backstage-huge, easily 1/3 of this Macys floor. Wesfield Mall on Blossom Hill in S. San Jose. Plan on spending hours and worth it. For us men, a real shoe department which is becoming rare at other Macys.
No more price scanners in the store and not enough staff on the floor to help identify prices. combine this with a mens department that is poorly recovered from the previous night, not sized, and even poorly priced. It seems all operational aspects are failed here. The clearance merchandise in the mens was at least colorized. Lot of items jeans have the price tag missing, its like the staff just gave up there. Store needs more payroll and a refresh.
Ok, so I dont shop at Macys but my 7 year old wanted to look for something very specific there. She didnt find what was looking for but she found a cute pair of shorts. The tag said $40 but they were unexpectedly on sale for $9 and some change. Also no one complained when she wanted to test all the body sprays near the cash register. She likes body spray and was trying to find one she likes even though it looked like we were playing around with them.
I have not been to Macys in years but I will be back very soon. They are super friendly and helpful. I like the layout of the store and they have added a furniture department. I had visited the jewelry department on Black Friday. I was very impressed with the selection and prices. I wish I could remember the associate who had helped me. She was definitely very pleasant and helpful.
Sorry to say this location has gone down hill. Selections are slim and the store is disorganized. It is obvious they are short staffed by the stacks of clothes plied in the fittting rooms, including empty hangers and security tags. Trying on clothes in this mess doesnt entice me to make a purchase. I feel bad for the people working there, lack of management? Macys you can do better! * update just visited this store again in hopes of spending my Xmas gift cards. The store is so dirty and shelves empty with most item stacked on the floor near the dressing rooms. Unfortunately I needed to use the restroom and only 4 stalls out of new 9 were operational. With the remaining 4 so filthy I had to leave immediately without making a purchase. I will never return to this atrocity again. So very sad!
Becareful when you pick up your purchases in the Macys store. They ask you to scan your drivers license which contains your private and sensitive information in order to obtain items your online purchases. Better to have them ship to you or do curbside pick up than in-store pickup.
Terrible experience trying to shop for nightgowns. Messy, disorganized selection. Sent half way across the store to a dressing room that had no employee and was locked. I use a waller so not easy for me. Asked to speak to the store manager. After waiting for 20 mins she still had not come or communicated with the employee as to why not. She was obviously totally indifferent to me as a customer. NOT going back.
No wonder Macys has bankrupted a few times recently. Horrible customer service. Shopped mens department, had to go to 3 different registers to pay for my items. Even though the cashiers without any customers were at all 3, the first 2 didnt want to ring me up and were rude about who would take my money. Sorry but if your a struggling company and someone wants to give you their money, you take it.I will continue to shop ONLINE so I dont have to deal with this lack of service.
This review is for the Lancome counter at MacysI had a really bad experience with the lady that works there. i went there recently not once but twice and each time she was rude and unpleasant to me- the first time being on phone and telling me she was going to be on that call for a while and if i needed help i could go back in half an hour and check. I didnt have time to wait so i left and went back again yesterday ( July 28th evening).She was again rude telling me that my questions, about a product i had used, were irrelevant since they were out of the product anyway. Ive been using Lancome products for 20+ years and always found their representatives extremely polite and helpful! This woman is an exception ; I usually never write reviews but sadly, felt compelled to write this one.
Earlier this afternoon my daughter and I stopped at the cosmetic section, spent about 10 minutes searching for a particular product by Anastasia and NOT once were we asked if we needed assistance by the 3 employees all standing there just staring at us and conversing amongst themselves. We walked back to Sephora to place our product order instead...smh.
Ive always loved Macys.. their stuff is just way to expensive to shop there very often. Now days I only go there to buy my perfume, nothing else, because I can find a gift set there for cheaper than I can find just the bottle at some other locations. And the girl/womens clothing is usually pretty cute but its busy way to pricey for my taste..
In the perfume section upstairs they gave me wrong information. If you ask someone to apply for a credit card you have to mention the specific word “credit”.Here is why it matters; if you don’t mention it specifically some people may think it is a membership card, because not everyone is familiar with the Macy’s system, and nobody needs to be. I didn’t know Macy Card means a Credit Card (!) For example; Costco Card does not mean Costco Credit Card, but it means Costco Membership Card.I think the attitude they are displaying here is a modern scam that has been made lawful. You may or may not agree with me, but it is so.
Worst customer service experience at the returns counter. I just needed to exchange an online order item for the same size just different color. The manager said she couldnt because I have bought it for 9.99 online and the price went up to 29.99 and couldnt price adjust it. I only had the item for 4 days after it was delivered. The customer service counter and manger need better customer service and not act like if I was cheating them in some way because I decided to purchase online. I just needed an exchange.
Went to pick up an online order. Received order and opened box when I got to my car. The box had shoes in it, I had ordered a purse. Went back to the pickup line they took back the shoes and gave me credit for the purse but she said I could only reorder the purse but it was longer on sale. Very poor customer service.
Terrible Macy’s! Probably the worst in the bay area! Mangers are very rude and so is the customer service. You might find one or two employees that are eager to help you and go above and beyond but that’s it. All I wanted was to order a dress to be shipped to my house from the store from customer service And and the lady told me it wasn’t available for ship and when I turn over I can see in the screen it says it is and she was just being so lazy she didn’t want to do it so she lied to me! and still said it wasn’t available to ship! Finally I end up in the home department and this really sweet young girl went above and beyond to help me with what I needed when I was so stressed out already she ordered my dress no problems so happy ! I believe she said her name was Eliza. And after this experience I won’t be returning to this Macy’s it’s always messy dirty so I am quite finished shopping here!
Tons of brands and styles to choose from for all women - from size petite to Womens (large), even kids and Juniors. Macys nearly always has a sale or coupons, so its key to find the best time to shop and get the best deals. Even when there isnt a sale, they have a section dedicated to low prices. Macys carries good quality - I have some clothing from then that has lasted over 5 years (and still has another few years), so whenever you buy will last a while. They do carry some of the latest fashion trends, but also classics that are timeless and can be worn for a long time.
I only gave them two stars just because the cash registers were down upstairs. It took a while to actually find some that a totally worked and this was very upsetting and time consuming. Although, other than the mechanical issues, the employees were more than helpful. Great prices on some typically expensive merchandise.
I recently visited the fine jewelry department in Oakridge mall Macy’s and bought a set of diamond jewelries.Ana helped me with the purchase and showed me all options for which I asked. Ana is a super nice and very helpful lay. I spent over 45 minutes browsing different sets and she did a great job presenting them. She has extensive knowledge over jewelries and is very passionate. Thank you Ana for the great service. I’ll definitely revisit this Macy’s and highly recommend the fine jewelry department.
Macys is always my go to! I love the fact the I can order online and drop in to pick up right by the door so Im not looking around and spending more money! Service is quick and easy, no hassle. The sales and coupons are outstanding! You can find $1000 or more worth of merchandise and seriously pay $200 if your savey like me and go for the deals. Im really never dissatisfied and if it doesnt work out the return policy is easy. Shop till you drop online and pickup quick, just dont go looking around or you will spend moe money!! Haha! Get in get out! Get all your needs, for your home and yourself! Most makeup counters will do makeup with a $60 purchase and the makeup artists are professional and get down!!! Love the one stop shop! ❤❤
I went to the mens department bought Nike outfits for the kids a, / mens department LOL, then I went to the womens and bought pajamas and a very pretty blouse and everybody was happy with their items at Christmas I think theyre excellent quality, sorry no pictures and the prices were very good the atmosphere was good. The customer service was good, they need more registers open but the wine it actually wasnt so bad
I bought a $199.99 Martha Stewart 6 quart Dutch Oven from the Oakridge Macy’s. I get it home and open it and ITS USED. It had burn marks and food residue on the bottom. I went back to the store to exchange it and had no problems. Quick in and out. My question is how the $&@? does that happen Macy’s? I had the same experience with a vacuum I purchased a year ago. They MUST have some lazy people working there for this kind of thing to keep happening.
I visited Macys Monday June 6, 2019 from 1-3 pm. The customer service was excellent. Those who I encounter went above and beyond to help me. I visited the fragrance dept, backstage dept, womens dept, and the pajama dept. I was pleased with everyones friendliness and knowledge. I also visited the Macys Sun glass Hut.
They have great selections, offering good discounts for holiday season shoppingHowever, I give 2-star for our check out experience. The clothing department was so under-staffed, making the check-out line moving unbelievably slow. Macy may want to consider increasing their staff to speed up the check out process
The worst Macys ever. I went in to try on a pair of lucky boots. Nobody in the shoe department was helping customers. I had to wait in line to ask the cashier to help me. The shoes are everywhere, and this isnt Black Friday. Its a Tuesday. I asked multiple sales people to help me, I ended up waiting a total of 40 minutes after two clerks telling me they would grab my size and bring them to me. after waiting forever I finally go to the second lady again and she tells me, oh we actually dont have them in the size we said was available. Okay?? So when were you planning on telling me that if I hadnt approached you again? Im pissed and will never shop at that Macys again. Horrible.
I went to the perfume dept to buy a few items for my wife and Ida, the sales person was helpful and very patient with me since I had no clue what to buy! LolShe gave me a few options and they all smelled nice and plus the gifts that came with the perfumes, I know my wife would love. It was a win win!Thank you Ida, you were a life saver!!!!
Overpriced products but sometimes their sales can be great. They have some unfriendly employees to put up with. Their online store often has sales, and you dont have to deal with the unhappy staff. Other online retailers can usually beat Macys pricing so my advice is to shop around.
In the mens cologne department, service was GREAT! I give that team 5 stars. Womens shoes, not so good. One person & one person only running the register and time permitting, getting shoes for customers. This left people waiting and in three cases walking out due to lack of help. Management needs to do a better job of staffing this department.
I was waiting for just under 10 minutes for the Lancome clerk who was talking to another employee, and never once addressed me...so about ready to call for a manager, when Terese came over from a different counter to assist me. She was so nice, helpful and patient that I quickly let go of my irritation at the other clerk. Terese is a gem. Kudos to her and her wonderful customer service...or Macys would have lost the $300 sale, another store... theyre not the only game in town after all.
Macys are always nice every time I go in there they have a great perfume and makeup sections they have great samples I like their big test samples those are cool on this Macys I think this mall has three Macys or grease to a womans in a man separated by some construction but yeah its humongous
Not very many people shopping there. More employees than customers. Trying to hang on to that expensive store image. This year i read they will go belly up. Why would you spend a fortune there on clothing when across the street is kohls at half the price. They should fire management people and reduce prices 30 to 40 percent. Then they will survive. Business mgmt 101.
I went to Macys with my friends looking for jeans, we already felt a bit weird, but once we went upstairs, there was an extremely eerie vibe, and none of us could figure out why... theres something sketchy going on, and everyone that went there with me agrees. Even the workers were being a bit too nice. We all became super paranoid.
Grew up going to this Macys. It has really gone down hill. The womens lingerie department is in shambles. Clothes all over the floor and no help whatsoever. I asked for some help finding a bra, and the clerk said she thought they were in one of the piles of misc. Items heaped in tangles with hangers on the floor. WTH?
I used to have a Macys credit card, but cancelled it a few years ago because I was displeased with their customers service and approach to discounts (theyd send coupons that had so many restrictions, they were almost unusable). I didnt think it was possible, but the coupon situation and customer service have both gotten even worse.
Last min shopping for bday gift for my son. No sales folks in mens dept to be found easily. The folks working in mens cologne were no help other than the fact the could speak english. LolI was able to find everything i was looking for, polo undershirts, dress slacks on sale😊 yippee. Plaid short sleeve shirts and shorts.Since I could not find anyone to assist at any of the sales service desks, I ended up in houseware wher I was assisted by a very nice young women. She helped me in the manner one expects from Macys sales associate back in the day. She gets 5 stars!!!!✴✴✴✴✴Macys management needs to bring back customer service to the caliber it once was back about 40- 50 years ago.The big Macys bags are awesome, new look or at least i have only seen it now.Security was very helpful, watched another ladt and i walk outside to our cars as it was late and mall was closing.
Macys was a total mess! Went there few times right before Christmas late, and everything was upside down, and couldnt find anyone to help or even to ring me up, lol! Feels like they could hire more people between Thanksgiving and Christmas! The people who work there must be drained by January 1st :( ouch.
Their beauty Shiseido counter associate do not have basic quality of service. I was persuaded into a presale purchase 11/11 at the counter, and the associate promised to ship the products to my address, since she could not give it to me at that moment. However a week later when I did not receive my product I called them, and was told the product was not shipped yet. Outrageous thing is that the associate said it was me who changed the mind. I never changed my mind and I told her to ship to my address when I purchased it!!! Later when I got the product I did not find any deluxe sample that she promised to give it to me. I will definitely also file a complain on that associate with her manager!!!
So sad.. I shop at Macys every Christmas.. today I went to pick up Dockers for my husband... The store was less than expected.. the 18 shelves of Dockers looked like a Tasman devil played in them the last few days . The escalator was broken. There was no map for customers of where to find anything. There was one checker on the second floor.. 30+ people in line... No wonder brick and mortar retail stores are disappearing... Soooo sad
Macys has been here at Oakridge for a long time. I dont really shop here much but when I do its for kids clothes. The thing I dont like is that I cant find tall and xl sizes for my husband. They always have sales now. Theyve added the impulse make up area which is cool. Too bad I dont use those brands anymore. They have pretty good brands. We also come here for sunglass hut. I actually like that we can use the Macys card for it.
I needed new pants for work. They have a limited selection of Dockers. I wish they carried more but I still bought two pair. Please get away from khaki for pants. I hate that color. Please use other colors. I was happy they had slate but only had one in my size. So I bought that and khaki as well. Also I know that people are slobs and they do not fold the pants up and put them back on the shelf so just hang them on a rack.
I was at the Estee counter being helped by Gina. Had a mini facial, as she called it. She was very helpful, explaining each step and reasoning. I have been using Estee products forever and always keen to know if I should change my products as new items come available. Thus, I appreciate having someone discuss options with me rather than push products on me.
I have never experience worse customer service as far as trying to reach a person at this store on the phone. I have been calling for two days now with a simple question regarding a return and tied several different departments and no one picks up the phone. I have sat on hold for 40 minutes waiting and no one ever answers. I have been transferred to a manager, executive office and customer service and no one ever answers. The only one that answers is the operator who cant answer my question and just transfers me to people who dont answer. Terrible customer service. This kind of thing makes me not want to shop here
Good sized and well stocked Macys located at Westfield Oakridge on Blossom Hill. Frequent sales and usually a good selection of products. It is frequently difficult to get help from the salespeople. When you do get their attention, the knowledge and expertise of the staff is not at the level of other Silicon Valley Macys locations. Lots of free parking.
If you like high end, high quality designer fashions that are more affordable that other stores than macys is your one stop shop, its huge with all the name brands in one place, you can actually get brand names for a lot less than you could with with the brands own stores, with well dressed and curtious people working there, its very clean and its not packed nor confusing than valley fair mall, which is nice not having to wait in line to use the elevator nor the restrooms with a casual mall connected to it close to the south edge of San Jose, with scenic hills, all my friends and all the girls i talk with say they love going to Oakridge even though they may live at complete opposite ends of the county, its easier to reach as its just at the end of the light-rail station, valley fair is harder and for public transit takes much longer to reach as you will have to take multiple bus stops to reach and on your way home, its situated in the middle of a neighborhood while valley fair is in the middle of multiple grid locked highways that are surrounded by slum like areas, valley fair isnt family oriented, its more for those who want to look rich and be doucebags about it and for the club going crowd, while Oakridge is more wholesome. its just a nice peaceful mall with a store thats like Costco but for fashion lol aka Macys :)
Only attractive and got my attention is the shiny floors. That Macys Oakridge is lacking a PIZZAZ IT WILL NOT GIVE YOU AN INVITING MOOD TO SHOP . ASSOCIATES DRESS UP SO CASUAL THEY THINK THEIR GOING TO THE FLEA MARKET. DINGY SHIRT @ MAKE UP DEPARTMENT .NEW YORK HEAD OFFICE PLS. HELP Oakridge mall. MACYS an inviting place to shop NOT A PASSING THRU ALLEY or a SHORT CUT TO SHOP TO THE OTHER STORES .
I have a real issue with this Macys location. For the past many months, their escalator is out-of-order. I was told that it is a very old system and the parts could be hard to find. Literally, if I go to this Macys on a once a month visit, the escalator was out for 4 months or so.
Ok there was a huge channel sunglass case at nordstrom as I was told to go through 50 k of them. 600 a piece I may like but not crazy. Sunglass hut if u spend 200 het 75 off and thats what I am figuring out I have the 2 final pairs at the reg quick check swipe as if I was being followed behind to make sure. Gurl its in your hand book to the nearst phone and call security and only keep an eye for miasing makes it ackward. Yes I would keep an eye out but maybe the women that did pocket the ray bans not the guy trying to pay.

2022-03-06Great quality clothes to buy. Plus Macys has all great company clothing line like Alfani, Calvin Klein, Bar 3, etc. If someone open Macys card then they will receive additional 20% off. Plus their members will receive coupons like 20%,15%,30% off in their mail. Overall great quality clothing with reasonable price with discount.

2022-07-09I was taking a pair of shoes that were ordered online. The return counter is on the first floor adjacent to the west side entry doors and I was in and out in just a few moments. So nice!

2021-09-22The actual store was nice, had some good items and was great to see a place with plenty of clothes on the shelves and racks. My problem was the female employee that checked me out at the end of the night. I dont know what her problem was but there was clearly something wrong. When you see the employee ringing you up rolling their eyes and talking about the customers under their breath to the person besides them, it makes me really irritated. Plus its hot inside, Im sweating under my mask, and Im not happy having to deal with this little girls attitude. I was spending a good chunk of change that night, she could have been a little bit more polite. She really shouldnt be at the customer service desk, but in the back with all her attitude. The gentleman that checked me out at Benefit in the makeup department earlier was super helpful and very sweet. My color wasnt with the display items and he made sure we checked the other places it could have been and we did find it. Plus I got a great deal on a 2 piece bonus buy item. Hes the kind of person you hope to get when going up to the makeup department to buy something, instead of some of those people that dont care. Anyways, this time I can only do 3 ⭐ because of the vial female employee. Hopefully next time Ill be able reassess and give a higher score!
