Lovely store. Every level has something for you. The employees are friendly and helpful. Quality items and always have unique options in stock. Clean and organized. Best material for clothing out there, top quality always.
It was wonderful to shop here, so much variety and the sales were great. I just dont like how the shoppers just toss clothes on the floor around the racks. I understand that the salespeople dont have the time to constantly pick up after these lazy shoppers.
This is a review specifically for Tommy over in the mens section. First of all, my wife and I had a dinner to attend tonight and I needed a new suit badly (of course we waited last minute), and I myself was never one for suits so my wife and I were completely lost and scrambling to find something that fits me. We ask Tommy for his opinion and he hand picked me out a suit and even guessed my sizes correctly without having to fit me. He walked us around and even waited for me by the fitting rooms. And after he even hand picked a tie out for me to match and used his prior art teacher expertise to explain how the colors work with one a other. In summary, if you need a suit and have no idea what youre doing, look for Tommy. Really great guy
It was just after Christmas, returns, and not on racks. Its literally on the floors . No inventory, unhappy salespeople. Now we know why 125 more stores are closing. Too bad, one of my favorite places to shop, is adios.

Shopping experience was ok,but one of the bathrooms on the 2nd floor was HORRIBLE!

Location may be closing, 125 stores set to close. Easy to see why, the place was understaffed, lacking variety in anything. Attitudes . . . Dirty, more items on floors than on the shelves.
Went with wife to pick up some Clinique on a Saturday afternoon. Two gals at counter were new, not real familiar with products, but had good attitude. Music. Is. Too. Loud. I walked through two nearby sections with different beats and they were also. Wife got some of what she was looking for at counter, the rest in the mail a couple days later. Not awful, but not great.
They always have sales going on. You just have to have patience to dig around and get good deals. I bought this sandals for 23$
The best part of macys for me
Went on Black Friday, I think I saved like $300. I bought 10 things and it only cost me $100! Everyone is so friendly I was surprised for such a busy day.

I love Macys! Picked up a pair of $35 shorts on sale for $17 and I love them! You cant beat a Macys sale! Macys has got a lot of really cute stuff thats good quality and great prices. Definitely check online if you arent liking whats in your store bc they can ship it to your store and a lot of the stuff I like isnt available in my store but I just do the pick up and if I dont like it or it doesnt fit I can just return it but everything Ive ordered pick up Ive kept. This is the same at Nordstrom, Target, Kohls and other stores I shop at (I often need to order online bc its not available in my store).

I come here for my skincare at Clinique. They never seem to have anything in stock though. I dont think they ever get a shipment in the last 1 1/2 Ive been going there. Not sure if this Macys is getting ready to go out of business or what, but something is going on there.

The displays within look like a vacant car lot with too much empty space.

Avoid the old b lady by the perfume/make-up section. She dropped a brand new expensive product I purchased as a gift for someone on the hard floor and she still had the nerve to pick it up and try to wrap it. It seemed like she was training a newbie that was hired for the holidays that was working the register and once I told her I didn’t want it, she notified the old lady and she just went nuts and snatched it right out of her hands to grab a new one. This lady was completely rude to me and her own co-worker. Haha trust me, you won’t miss her, she’s the one with the Botox and lip fillers. Please stay away from her.
Annoying dog barked at me in the Store. Keep obnoxious bad behavior dogs out of the Store. Have consideration for other people who want to enjoy a nice shopping experience. Macys has great bathing suits for women.

Im a Macys fan anyway especially for the holiday season Macys is my number one place to go to buy clothes jewelry but theyve got a third floor called back page which has a laws are name brands that are discounted and you can always find something for anybody in the family Triumph of 78 and Carlsbad El Camino Real mall so once you go there and theres other shops that you can go to also

The staff were very helpful and very friendly. Two staff I encountered were both extremely patient and went out of their way to help me find things and resolved my problems.
I only go there for the clearance items. Didnt have much to choose from this time. Everything else is too pricey for me. Maybe next time. Ill check back next month.

I was at Macys for a training session. I was greeted many times by various salesperson. Nice big smiles and happy personalities. I knew the meeting was on the third floor but was not sure how to get there. I asked someone and he left his station and I directed me to the escalator and gave me great directions. The store was very neat and clean.
Had to return 2 items, on 9-27-18 theres a new dedicated return counter ground level. Went around 3 pm it was fast. And I was able to find close parking. Found a beautiful blouse on sale. Good trip to Macys.

Not my favorite Macys. The the selection is not nearly as good as some of the other Macys in the San Diego area. Otherwise clean and well-stocked, just not with things that I Im interested in purchasing. I would say it is more mainstream and Conservative then Mission Valley.

Lou is awesome and always helps me out. Always a great time at Macys. I have been shopping at the Carlsbad location for years and recently a gentleman named Lou has been there when I come in and helps me out. He is very knowledgeable and doesnt rush a sale. I order items online and pick them up at the At Your Service desk. Lou is usually there and is friendly. If Im shopping in store I make sure to end up at the At Your Service desk so I can say hi to Lou and have him ring me up.I know their prices are a little steep but if you wait for sales you get a great deal every time. I use the app and add items Im looking for on a wishlist, when the item is on sale I get a notification and most of the time its about 30%-50% off the original price...sometimes even better than that. Coupled with their credit card savings you really are getting a good deal on their products. The card has a steep apr so I recommend paying it off immediately and collecting the bonuses. I shop here often and very rarely pay regular price for any items I buy!
A hidden gem inside of Macys (on the 3rd floor). Basically the equivalent of a Marshalls/Ross for Macys, with a lot of marked down inventory and a impressive selection.
Nobody wanted to help hiding in the back watching the clock to go home.Higher price for better service, guess not.Didnt want to bother to complain nice elderly lady at the cash register called the manager upstairs to tell her but even she didnt care, funny thing I wasnt expecting to talk to anyone, but just to get the hell, out .

We went to the mens store for am exchange and the staff there were extremely helpful. Plenty of selection too.
The last time I went to this Macys the check out was so slow. 10 minutes of waiting, and the line didnt move. PRO TIP: If theres a line, dont ask people to sign up for rewards or other frivolous questions, its disrespectful. And that sums up how I felt my last (maybe ever) visit to this store: disrespected.

This is the best Macys in the world. I dont know if it is still there, but there used to be a bar and restaurant upstairs. It was like a secret place to get a drink on your lunch break if you worked in the mall... and you could put it on your Macys card.

My cousin was visiting from New York and is getting remarried this summer.we went to Macys and they had the perfect dress in the perfect size and within 45 minutes of shopping she was set to get married! The store is going through some restructuring the only thing that I feel is wrong is that they do not have enough staff on the floors.

Great service in the shoe department. They were very busy, however they took the time to offer us some water while we wait. A little after a bag of treats. Perfect for my Granddaughter since kids can get tired easily. The staff was very helpful and offered great advise. I had not problem buying two pair of shoes. I unfortunately didnt have the best time at this Macys. I couldnt find anybody to help me in the mens department or in the shoes Department. It also strongly smells like mold when you walk in the front door. I dont know whats causing it but it definitely grossed me out.

I have been coming to this Mall when Macys was called Broadways. Thats over 50 years now. It seems to be one of the few that have yet to get a makeover , and it really needs one bad. Customer service is mediocre at best. Otherwise, this popular store has just about everything.

I went to the Urban Decay Cosmetics counter this morning. The team was so patient and helpful in helping me find the right products for me, as many of the items I tried were newer launches! It wasnt busy, so I was right in and out!

Customer service is nothing like it used to be back in the days. They hired anyone, they got No clue on Customer service and Macys has the worst slow clerks when you are ready TO pay ur items. Theres onļy one cashier/register open per floor, on the second and third floor, and you cannot go to the first floor because is onļy shoes, cosmetics and perfume and they will not let you pay with them. DEFINITELY NOTHING LIKE IT USE TO BE.😕
Well on a legal note their elevator inspection is over a year expired and the thing seems to be about 40 years old. Pretty sketchy. Employee shrugged it off when I asked him if he was aware as I stepped off the elevator.
Good store, shoe selection is minimal. Need more Chelsea boots! Everything is neat and organized, I enjoy visiting this location.
Online is probably better and faster so slow to check out here and hard to find a register with a human. 🤷

Warning! This store is ghetto! Do not buy big ticket items here!! I spent almost $400 on a Patricia Nash Bag around 6 months ago. The handle snapped! Since it’s over 180 days they will do nothing! I will take my business else where from now on, and I suggest you do the same!!!!

The selection of clothes here is ok, and the prices arent always good for the piece of clothing. The shoes are alright; the perfume section is nice.

I bought a perfume set, Lorena offered/suggested to gift wrap it for me. She provided gift wrap options, took her time with me, and was multi-taking by being considerate of her surroundings by acknowledging other customers on the counter throughout the department while getting them assisted as she helped me. I felt I was taking up too much of her time.Lorenas demeanor made me confident as I watch the way she honed her customer service skills while working under pressure. Lorena was relentless, very professional, and gave me the undivided attention I needed to complete my purchases. I asked how long shed been working there she said only a few months; I can tell shes going to have a career with longevity no matter the field or at Macys. 2022-02-19First time in a Macys in years. Seperate physical location for mens department. Lots and lots of mens clothing. Purchased a few items, took them home to try on. Fit great. 2022-01-21Customer Service is Juniors and part of Mens was excellent. However, we were obviously looking for something and lingered by three employees in the mens section who were fiddling with a rack in the walkway. My husband had to ask where the product was we were looking for. The male employee was obviously perturbed he had to stop what he was doing and pointed to the direction we needed to go to. 2022-02-21I was looking for a gift for a dear friend and the girl at the jewelry counter was helpful showing different necklaces and bracelets they had . They also had good sales going on so you get pretty good quality for your buck 🛍🛍💍

2022-01-13Not only was it difficult to find the mens section, once i did, it was horrible to say the least. Not sure where Macys is getting style advice. Just my opinion though. Did find a mannequin with interesting threads but could not find the clothes it was wearing. Great display, horrible arrangement of merchandise. Will not return. Carlsbad location. In my opinion this place is doomed.
