Ive actually never ordered anything shipped to store before. I ordered some Garden rocks right after Thanksgiving and I forgot the order had arrived. When I came I simply called and asked them to bring it out to me to curbside and they said no problem I was not even parked for 5 minutes when they came out this was very convenient and Ill be doing this again thank you so much!
Put 2 plants 🌱 on hold and they kept them for 2 days which I appreciated (even if it was by accident or against store 🏬 policy). Good 👍 customer service overall and definitely more helpful than their counterparts with orange 🍊 aprons. Nonetheless, location is nice and they have quality garden 🪴 products at reasonable prices. They are a bit far from the house and it appears the store is always short staffed… wonder 💭 why?
This place is getting worse and worse. Cashiers are slow, unhelpful, and untrained. Been standing in the customer service line for close to a half hour. Cashiers having to call managers up because they apparently dont know what theyre doing. The floor staff hardly knows where anything is... Not as bad as Walmart, but getting close. That being said, the store is pretty well organized, and most items are in stock when you need them.
Just purchased a washer and dryer and the delivery guys refused to install my washer and dryer. When asked why he didnt install, he said the accessories had to be new in order for them to install. I purchased new accessories for my dryer and he still would not install it. He told me it was easy! I thought that their job was to bring your appliances and install them. I have absolutely no idea how to install a washer or dryer. They also didnt wear mask when entering our home!
Appliance section has the most pathetic customer service; an associate from another department requested the appliance center associate, Rachael, to assist us; however, she never tended to us. We were left waiting without a courteous follow-up, despite her walking right by us! With such inconsiderate and lacking behavior we didn’t feel like wasting more of time and left! Maybe it’s just the appliance section that needs to train their staff better!
I have never been a huge fan of Lowes after a couple of bad experiences with the floorng department at a different location. This time was different though. I needed a bunch of 10ft 2x4s and was in the area so thought Id check their stock out. I was fully expecting them experience to resemble a Home Depot.... Crowded, messy shelves, opened products, impossible to find a lumber cart, and wet, warped, lumber. It was not at all like that. The boards werent perfect, but I didnt have trouble finding true and straight ones. There were carts lined up neatly in each of the lumber aisles, and the shelves were well stocked and organized. I found everything I needed without issue and the prices were not much more than competitors. All in all, I was very pleased with this store.
Employees here are very helpful. I came in for one thing, hardware to hang my new canvas. At least 4 employees helped me (not at the same time lol) I wasnt sure which hanging supplies to get.I also stumbled upon a clearance item at this store. It was beautiful and marked at least 80% off. They were out of it which made me sad but Im glad that I found a new item from there that I will hopefully get to buy one day.
I never go to Lowe’s but that’s where they had a fridge in stock. I knew where it was located from the website and quickly found what I was looking for but could not find anyone to help me. I had to search for employees then it was still very slow service. The guy on the little forklift was so confused and had no idea how to work his machine to get the fridge down off the shelf. I would have to say the cashier was the only friendly one. I did get my fridge so all is good but now I know why I go to Home Depot
Returned unused flooring, no-hassle looked up in their system and bam all was done. Very nice customer service department. Found myself returning love how clean the store is and employees very helpful. I live over ten miles away will continue to take that ride back. Thanks, Lowes.
It’s very difficult to have a pleasant and productive experience at Lowe’s when being constantly questioned as a woman about every single thing I’m doing. Kurt in customer service was helpful with getting the palette of carpet tiles we needed but constantly asked us very condescendingly if our husband had approved our purchase and questioned our math for how much material we needed. It’s not fun to be forced to look like an idiot because of a sexist employee.
If I could give a negative rating, I would. Unfortunately based on my experience with this location Lowe’s has lost me as a customer for life. I placed an online order, it came in completely broken. I went to the store to return and replace the order. The order was supposed to arrive in 5 days, it’s now 15 days later. I keep calling and being tossed around from department to department. No one even attempting to try to help locate the order only to be hung up on “accidentally” every time. The call wait times are unreasonable. The team seems under staffed and uneducated on the systems. Needless to say, once I finally get my order I will never shop at Lowe’s again.
I love Lowes as a store but this individual Lowes has the worst customer service and management Ive ever seen. I am newly disabled and accidentally locked my keys and phone in my car. I went to customer service to ask not even to use the phone but if the manager could call a taxi for me, he replied no and said he could write down the phone number but I would have to walk to a restaurant at least 300yds away all this and after I spent $250 and am obviously disabled walking through the store and up to customer service using 2 canes just to walk. Also how many ti e do you have to be verified that your spouse was in the military before you get the discount at this Lowes it will be everything. Long long story short corporate needs to come to this store with one of their fixers before this store loses too many good customers.
My familys experience was amazing. John in electrical was so much help. He helped us with figuring out how many peel and stick backsplashes we needed for our kitchen, which made us make a purchase. Dan was our cashier and boy he had the best customer service. We were very pleased with the West Sacramento Lowes and will be returning soon in the near future. We will recommend this location to people.
A great place to go when making minor OR major home improvements. We all know it’s a close battle between Lowe’s and Home Depot. As for me I do a lot of gardening and minor home stuff- it all comes down to whichever store is closer. One thing I do find, generally Lowe’s is better stocked and you don’t need to ask “if anymore are in the back”. But, at the “orange store” the employees are ALWAYS just an arms length away and much more willing to help. So what it boils down to people is... what store is closest! Happy Improvements!
We just had a very bad experience with Lowes. This review is of that visit and may not reflect Lowes all the time.We bought a box of 3 water plants that are a Lowes product and are guaranteed for one year. Two of the three plants are growing and one plant failed to grow. We brought back the plant that failed and they refused to replace it. The clerk told us that the manager wanted us to bring back all three plants in order to get a replacement box. These plants are also packaged as singles. We are very unhappy that Lowes would not honor their own guarantee. Can we trust Lowes and Lowes products? It is time to find an alternative to Lowes.
This place definitely has everything I need or could want for my home and garden. Employees could be a lot more friendlier and commutative. One department in particular stands out not honorably although, where the spray paints were. Literally all the cans were rear facing in wrong direction. Im assuming Employee doesnt care or check their work. It was real irritating to have to turn cans to read the labels and the fact they were all like that.
Almost every time Ive gone (which is frequently due to the proximity) and I have to interact with the employees, Im almost always given bad information or directed to something I wasnt looking for. Some employees are definitely helpful, and youll even occasionally find an employee in the section you expect them to be in (like staff in the appliance section), but often there isnt. The employees in the garden section, and at registers, are often the most friendly.Has a decent selection and services, but nothing beyond typical.Plenty of parking, and they even have a handful of parking reserved for military veterans.June 23rd, 2021 updateThey now have self checkout! Cant pay with your phone or tapping a credit card, but its a start. You can use your military discount with it, but you have to wait for someone to authorize it.Also while looking for a product, an employee walks up to me and asks if I need any help (awesome). Now, Im standing there with my Great Dane, and he proceeds to make a joke about a miniature pony. Goes with the territory and Ive learned to accept it. But then he proceeds tell me they dont live long (horrible). How is that helpful? Does he tell seniors they arent going to live long too? But after I correct him, he gets back to the product by saying well, we either have it or we dont, turns and walks away without saying another word.Still a long ways to go for Lowes...
This is and great local hardware and how much maintenance store in West Sacramento. Theyre pretty busy during the covid-19 pandemic, so they might be out of things you are looking for. However, they tend to stay well stocked and other items. Its always clean and easy to ask employees for assistance.
After shopping for an hour and change I go to checkout where a herd of clerks are standing around micro backseat checking that I wasnt stealing....nbd.. (except I dont appreciate the judgement for whatever reason they decided that).$ 289 dollars was the total, I hand the teenage clerk three brand-new from the bank blue $100 bills. She tried to run them through the bill checker and they wont go...then she says I need another payment, I suggest running them through another machine , one goes . She wants another form of payment.. they have two broken bill checkers and 100% incompetent clerks. There are about 50 points of security on the new bills the kind in which involve discernment and education but not a machine. I ended up leaving because theyre inept. wasted my time and lost the sale.
This Lowe’s is okay. Generally it’s dead. Most employees have been nice and friendly. The down side to This store is when it’s not dead the store isn’t prepared to handle it and often I find myself waiting in a long line to only see one cashier at the front working hard to move the line fast without any help to come despite numerous requests for code 3 and code 50s. Other than the occasional staffing issues this Lowe’s store is okay. Way better than the west sac Home Depot imo
Everyone I have ever interacted with at this location has been kind and helpful. Michelle was amazing when handling my online order/ curbside pick up. She works hard and i appreciate all you customer service workers that do so much for us. You all deserve so much more credit than most of the population gives you. Between dealing with rude/entitled people, to not being thanked/appreciated enough- I want you to know that youre all freakin superstars.
I was facetiming with my girl’s while I had them go pick up some supplies our Yuba City Lowe’s didn’t have and the lady at self checkout was really rude to them and didn’t want to help when the girl’s asked. West Sac Lowe’s needs to do some customer service training...
During quarantine, they have regular hours, which is a total life saver for me since Home Depot has shortened hours. Although they don’t carry the same brands, they do carry comparable products and they price match. Store itself is clean and huge, however, I’m giving them 4/5 stars due to their employees. Some of them are extremely helpful and kind, others, while helpful, come off as rude. I understand that the employee is probably just being curt, but others may take this the wrong way. Other than that, my experience with the Lowe’s here has been positive overall.
Waited for help for over thirty minutes after driving from Cordelia to get to this Lowes to make my purchase. The associate at customer service made me feel as if I didnt matter; not an important customer. I believe having travelled the distance I did, walking into a store during a shut down due to COVID and after some time passed making a purchase.......... I AM AN IMPORTANT CUSTOMER. I MATTER! Thank you for your attention to this MATTER; Lowes management.
This was a phone experience. So i am a single mom , its hard for me to leave the house right now . i called yesterday at 9 a.m. to get a possible in home carpet measure. Just an appointment. A very nice Lady answered at first telling me of course they can make that appointment. I felt at ease with how easy that was. But. She put me on hold for that department ( flooring installation) to do that process of scheduling. After 19 minuets on hold , the phone hung up. Being that i really needed this done , i called back. They said the person was on lunch in that department and to call back. 30 min later i call back. I get transferred about 3 times to people that seemed like they didnt want to deal with me. By now its 11am. I asked for a supervisor and got hung up on. Its a 500$ loss for Lowes , i just was trying to hire you guys. The. Competitive place i called by the way, was very helpful. So i went with them
Thank you Clarance for your help trying to locate my leaf blower. You went above and beyond to help me find my blower that was not showing on the shelf but there were some in stock, you went out of your way to locate it for me and helped me with the check out process.
This location has issue with online pick ups and communication. I watched them fight over taking out a curbside pick up. Some of the employees didnt know where cars park for curbside when it is clearly marked outside. I waited 15 mins for a garden order that said it was ready last night.
Went in for boot covers. The cashier stated they dont sell such items. I informed her I bought them before. She stated must have been elsewhere and she worked there for 12 years and never had them. I walked right to the paint aisle and found them. When I checked out with that cashier she just ignored me. Just a bad experience. Id go back to home depot next time.
Asked if they recycle the florescent bulbs. Was told no longer due to covid and not sure who has handled them 🙄 Seems BS since hundreds of people touch items within their store and they are perfectly fine selling those items; however, for some unknown reason cant recycle bulbs because of covid. Plus long lines with not enough cashiers to handle the checkout. Got Dan, nice fellow, but was slow and was observed getting distracted causing the line to move even slower.
I prefer lowes over home depot...however, mgmt needs to improve checkout process. Lines are usually long...5 to 10 people per lane to pay. They have these cheap tiny signs stuck on top of short orange cones at knee height that continually get pushed up near product which nobody sees or reads. I dont really want to go all the way to middle of store to get behind 10 people just to check out. 1)Maybe add a self check out lane or two? 2)Post large signs above cashier lane number in MUCH larger letters. Try saying this lane cash only or this lane cards only on banner size lettering so you cant miss it. Also, some of the lines move faster so while im waiting in a line 10 deep, others walk right up to a cashier lane that NOW only has 2 and is checking out while im still waiting to move up one or two spaces. Maybe PAINT FLOOR for one long line toward garden stuff but still visible so checkers can see the large number of people waiting rather than going down the product lanes. Then any checker can take the next cash or card sale. Figure something better out....please!
I tend to go to H.D. but have recently been frequenting the Lowes just to check it out and see what they have as well. Ive come to understand that they have a lot and I mean a lot of variety of things that I have not seen nor expect to see at the local H.D. so far I havent made the complete switch over to Lowes but Im thinking about it
Normally we have excellent experience but today we had a pick up order. They called us 3 times to tell us it was ready. The clerk was gone long enough to prompt her Supv to go look for the order. Turns out only half the order was in and other half was not. They really should told us that by phone so we could cancel the order.
After spending an hour in this store nobody could process a hot water heater I wanted to purchase and schedule an install. I attempted to purchase it over the phone but they said I had to come to the store. I will try Home Depot. Didnt know it would be so difficult to have a broken water heater replaced.
This location is clean. I never thought another hardware store would be as barren of employees as The Home Depot. I was wrong. Though the store is clean and youd think its welcoming, its empty. There were 8 employees visible my entire visit. I walked from one end of the store to the other. If you know what you are looking for, great. If you need design help great. If you need help? Bring a friend that knows their way around.
Took 30 minutes to pick up an online order. Barely acknowledged by staff ... I can understand they are busy but the one clerk for pickup was helping someone place and order. I would still be waiting if another clerk didnt step up to help me. That one clerk still working on the online order when I left.
I’ve been to several Lowe’s all around the Northern California area to buy supplies while working in my former profession. I’ve had nothing but great experiences during those visits. Recently I was impressed by the efforts of Jorge and Tamasha. They turned what would’ve been a very bad situation into me walking out happy. Thanks guys!!!Lowe’s rocks!
I generally think Lowes is a great store. But tonight I wasted 1 1/2 hours and a tank of gas to pick up an item said to be in stock. Nowhere to be found in store. Four different employees tried to either help (one brushed me off saying their inventory system didnt work. Thanks, no kidding, and neither does your attitude). Lowes, the affair is over.
Below average customer service even for Contractors! So beware online shows several in stock of something, you go to buy and zero in stock! No response like let me check stock, make a call to another location, find out when product will be restocked nor anything. They look at you with blank stare on their uneducated face hoping you just leave. Unreal and not typical business like interaction at the Customer service desk. This is not the 1st time either, awfully sad a billion dollar companys treats people that way
This store has a very bad habit of canceling online orders without notice to the customer. The only way to find out is to check the order status on your own or to call into the store. The fact there is not email, phone call, or any other courtesy notice provided makes shopping at this specific Lowes a nightmare. I will be sure to take my business down the street to the big orange store who treat me MUCH better than this Lowes.
Store is typically clean and cashiers are always available to take our money. The associates at this location though largely seem to not care about helping. Dont get me wrong... There are a few good people, but a majority of the associates I have interacted with over the past year have not made much stride to be helpful. Most will point you in a direction to go, including the current store manager... I was in the store today and was directed to the wrong aisle twice. The managers did not know the locations of their merchandise. To top it off, the product I purchased today did not even function correctly... This Lowes needs to get their act together.... Very disappointing!
Placed an order for store pickup and several days later I received an email that the order was ready for pickup. When I got to the store I was told that the item had not shipped from the vendor yet so the store didnt have it. About 2 hours later I got another email that the order was available for pickup. I called to verify and was told they had the item in the store. It seems their order tracking system has some major flaws. I really hate doing business with a store that wastes my time! Next time Ill order from home depot.
Overall the staff are helpful. The only issue i have is for detailed product information, i need to look it up online. Most of the product info tags are worthless compared to the tags Home Depot or Ace have for their products. But overall, the store has a good selection of tools and hardware.
Thanks Lowe’s after spending close to $10,000 with you remodeling my kitchen which had black mold removed because of previous water issues. I was weeks in planning and in the middle of the Remodel. You tell me that I cannot suggest backer board to be mounted behind the backsplash subway tile I was purchasing from you. Backer board that is recommended for use in areas with water like my sink. I still have $3000 worth of appliances that need to be installed after the backsplash and the answer your tile salesman gave me to get the Backsplash installed was to try Angie’s List! Well I’ll try Home Depot first and then if needed I’ll try Angie’s List! Thanks Lowe’s for wasting my time and money! Anyone looking to remodel I would not suggest you use Lowe’s call Angie’s List that is what they recommended to me!
Things are put in places that make no sense, theres little to no communication between staff members as 2 people pointed us in different directions for the same item, and the online item says its located on the opposite side of the store. Plus theyre plant stuff is often overpriced.
Service at Lowes, specifically the Paint Department, was atrocious. I waited for 15 minutes for service, with an employee working in the Paint Department - apparently doing some unknown large project without a customer waiting - without her even acknowledging my presence at the order window. When I asked for assistance she looked at me but didnt not say anything to me.
Extremely disappointing experience with this West Sacramento Lowes store ... Ordered a relatively inexpensive ($14.99) SimpliSafe security system component by online for store pickup ... System allowed the purchase, but when I went for pickup, was informed they didnt have it in stock at the store ... This took three people over 45 minutes to determine ... Was told I could go to the Elk Grove store, since they had it available ... Guess what? ... Same story there on non-availability ... I probably spent three hours total running around to no avail! ... But while I was in Elk Grove, I called Best Buy to see if they had it ... I did the transaction over the phone and had the item in hand in less than 45 seconds via curbside pickup ... Lowes should be embarrassed, but they probably arent ... Never again on that Lowes, and never ANY Lowes before exhausting all efforts at Home Depot first ...
Always used this store for home improvements but was punished for my trust. Ordered windows replacementst at the end of May. Windows were ready on July 7th. They cancelled my installation twice already because of lack of some parts. Today is August 8th and I dont have even info or approximate date for installation. Customer service, installation department, contractor have no idea either. Nobody is able to say when. Feel like I buried my $2K. I understand current situation but dont understand such business. They require 100% of cost in advance and are not responsible for result. Highly dissappointed! Dont order their services!
All of the staff are very friendly, it was easy to find exactly what I needed, and unlike Home Depot®™ they didnt stalk me the whole time because they thought I was trying to steal stuff. 10/10 shop here all the time for all my manly needs from power tools to laundry detergent!
Went to Lowes in west sac today, and upon entering the lobby area where the baskets are, the guard was sitting on a chair playing on his phone and not even checking for to see if people had face masks. I asked him if the baskets were clean and he said uh maybe, I think so. I took a basket with a tissue and proceeded onto the store where upon entering there was a do it yourself basket sanitation set up right next to a social distancing floor sign where someone was waiting in line. Ok, so the baskets were not clean and clearly the they are not taking COVID19 seriously. Aside from that I waited 15 minutes for someone in lumber that I had requested be paged from 3 different associates to cut wood for me. Either the associates never paged or I was just ignored. I finally tracked someone down and she said all our saws are closed as a corporate order. I asked why then were they cutting wood 10 minutes ago when I was looking for what I needed. She rolled by in her wheelchair and said I dont know. I again asked her to page someone and after giving up on getting any help I saw her and asked if she had called anyone and she said I think hes at lunch. Ok really, I was thinking thats information that I could have used 10 minutes ago...but she just rolled right past me and through the cashier area. I asked the cashier to please contact the manager while I waited in line and he called the manager. I was in line for about 10 minutes and the manager never showed. I asked him if he called and he said yes she should be on the way. I waited a couple more minutes and she never showed. By this time, I was at Lowes 40 minutes longer than I needed to be and was fed up. I asked the cashier to let her know, if she ever showed, that I was tired of waiting on her the same as I was of everyone else who didnt ever show to help me. I always try to avoid Lowes and prefer Home Depot even thought its further out for me. I am over Lowes. If you dont need help they are fine but their customer service from the cashiers to the associates all the way up to management sucks. Lowes, if you continue to operate this way you will soon be out of business.
Plumbing department is terrible. I ordered 7 weeks ago and they ordered wrong parts. Had to make at least 7 different calls. Nobody leaves notes in computer system so every time you have to explain your story again. Still waiting. Lowe’s is quick to take your money but quality controls are nonexistent. Do yourself a favor and don’t shop there.
Needed electrical conduit...home was empty in rough electrical. Asked an associate about the over 500pcs on hand. He stated there was another home in rough plumbing. This turned out to be in the overhead. Called for associate. No one responded. Went to customer service desk. Again no one responded to the aisle. Waited for over 20 minutes store was empty I finally had to get it done myself by using one of their ladders. Customer service sucked. They almost lost a $200 sale for $6 worth of conduit that wasnt in the home. Normally its great but sometimes they need to get their act together.
This one us kinda like homedepot but with staff that actually helps very clean well organized great selection of air conditioners they give a military discount but you have too have like a membership with em if not just join and then bring the receipt back for a retroactive reimbursement for the discount also you can register on the website super easy
I went in to purchase a new ranger (stove) and at the day of the delivery they called and told me they were on their way but 10 min later they call again and cancel on me and I never got my ranger (stove) I had to get a refund and had to go buy it at Best Buy which I now prefer.
They have the worst customer service!!!! We were suppose to deliver a washer and dryer and it had been rescheduled 3 times!! HORRIBLE!!! I will never purchase anything from them again! People do not know what it means to have customer service anymore. Even the person answering the phone was just plain nasty!! She had no idea what I was talking about and told me in a very nasty tone, that their delivery department went home. It is 3:00 pm on a weekday! What the hell!!! Awful people!
The reason I dislike Lowes is half of their items for sale have no prices and are missing information. I refuse to pickup anything that I dont know the price first. I have complained about this before. I could have spent more $$$ here today. All I bought was things labeled and on sale special priced.
I Placed an online order and went to pick it up, there was no one at the online pick up counter, I rang the help bell. About 5 minutes later someone came by and told me they could not help me and I needed to go to the customer service desk. It took way too long for them to look up my order retrieve it. Also they have dedicated parking for online pickups near the entrance by the desk, but you cannot go back out this door once you pick up your order.
Almost always a very satisfying experience when shopping here. This time, the associate was patient with me. Somehow, he was able to understand my pathetic description of the part I needed, and was able to find and pick out exactly what I needed. Kudos for his patience and understanding.
Worst costumer service, I thought Home Depot was bad until I went to Lowes, after being told the items that I wanted were not in stock I ended up finding them myself. When I went to Pro Desk for a phone sale I was told they do not accommodate phone sales, I was shocked as its very common for me to do phone sales at Home Depot. I will think twice before returning to Lowes. Now I understand why the fall so behind Home Depot. Terrible costumer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😡
Worst delivery I’ve ever experienced. I ordered a refrigerator, washer and dryer from Lowe’s on December 1st with a delivery day of December 23rd. I moved into my new home just in time for Christmas and to host my first Christmas with family who are all making their way to Sacramento. I received a call from Lowe’s on December 22nd confirming my delivery for 11-3pm on December 23rd. After calling Lowe’s all day and then contacting DSI my delivery was pushed to 5pm and I was told that the driver would call me when he was on his way. Then when I didn’t hear back I called DSI again since the representative I was working with never gave me a call back to check in like he said he would. It was then pushed to 7pm and eventually canceled. I was then told by the representative at DSI to be quite while I was trying to express my frustration on the phone. I was then told that my order was an “add on” to the truck and the driver was not obligated to deliver my items. How does a company who has 22 days to plan a delivery say an order was an “add on”? I don’t believe I have been told the truth about what happened to my delivery today. I would never recommend ordering appliances from Lowe’s in West Sacramento each time I called in and spoke with Jen in delivery she just kept pushing out the time and did not offer any real help at all. The first employee to even offer help was Jackie. Not only do I no longer have the means to host Christmas because I can’t make any food I have also been burned by customer service by both Lowe’s and DSI. Anytime you have a client/ customer based role at a company it is YOUR JOB to ensure things are taken care of and your client or customer is taken care of. If you don’t want to be accountable and do your job you shouldn’t be client facing. I receive 6 PTO days a year and today I took the day to be home to ensure my appliances were delivered in time for Christmas, after waiting for 9 hours I can truly say Lowe’s and DSI wasted my time and greatly upset my entire family. DO NOT ORDER FROM LOWES and MAKE SURE YOUR DELIVERIES DO NOT COME FROM DSI.
This place is awesome. Employees are friendly. They care about their employees and the public during this COVID19 pandemic they are wearing masks gloves and shoppers required to wear masks. The lines are spaced perfectly for distancing. I feel safe there and most importantly....the price is right!!!!!!
We love Lowes for all our hardware needs. Weve been doing a lot of repair work and renovations on our cabin in the last two years so we are often at Lowes. Customer service is great, the stores are very clean and organized, and the online ordering with store pickup is convenient. There are very often 10% off coupons available for online or in-store purchases. My only recommendation for improvement is that the online orders are slow to pick up when I do come in to the store. They often have staff go track down what you ordered even though the system said it was ready now for pickup.
Great customer service, and value, knowledgeable workers and management. Clean and well organized .If you need to improve or fix your place, this is the best way to do. If associate not able to helps with any of your needs regarding home improvement( because the they new employees or simple dont know particular products) ask any assistant manager or if you have to a store manager Javier. With little passions and comment sents ,You will not regretted to visit this store.Like Lowes said :Never stop improvement!Lets build something together! And they really help customerTo love place where they live.Awesome store, my favorite.
Never EVER shop here. These people are effing incompetent. They just shipped me someone elses order. The manager Jorge lied and said my ordee was shipped 2 days ago. They still cannot find the special order I purchased. They never pick up the phone. The people refuse to serve people on curbside. They gave my order to someone else. They do not pick up the phone. This place has now been rundown. This is now the last straw. I am contacting the Regional VP of operations regarding this.
I went to Lowes today to order a toilet with installation. I talked to an associate to map out costs, options, and timeframes for installation. I went home to measure and went right back to order... thats when things went south. The sales associate I had just spoke to was catching up with a friend... a few minutes of waiting in I politely said I didnt want to interrupt but asked if there was someone else she could call to help me, to which she rebuffed she would help in a minute. A few minutes later she helped another customer (who came after me). I waited. When she finally helped me out, she said she would be off in 15 minutes so she called on another co-worker to wrap up my order. He reluctantly helped out, also frustrated by the situation. I tried to be empathetic because at this point I was frustrated but it wasnt the current associates fault but then he kept adding in costs that I wasnt told about it by the prior associate, despite me asking before ordering. Eventually I called it and asked to speak to a manager. The manager agreed to write off the additional costs so I decided to proceed with the order, at which point I heard him beg for his associate to complete the order.. which then took 20 or so minutes to complete because the associate was unable to locate a manager for a sign-off. I was able to order my toilet and at the price I was originally quoted but what a hot mess of a situation. Next time Ill try home depot first and I recommend others do the same. This store is seriously struggling in the customer service dept... its hardly worth going to. Sorry but this was abysmal customer service at a premium of a cost... Home Depot is cheaper.
I love Lowes. Its got everything home depot has and a unique selection if more. Its cheaper than home depot by $2 for products. Must go. I also love the layout of the floor plan. Tge carpet and floor stuff is in middle of store not tucked away in the corner where nobody goes. So many variaties if everything.
Full disclosure that I have family that works here but honestly outside of the CUSTOMERS here that frequently get in the way and are rude, staff and the store in general are great. I live far closer (less than a 3 minute drive) from Home Depot across the city but still drive here instead as I more consistently find what Im looking for
Hey went there on the Sunday and boy was that place dead it was around 2 in the afternoon. Went there to check out there 3/8 cordless impact wrench. First the salespeople who was doing inventory and didnt even pay attention to me. And the impact wrench did not have a battery on it so I could test it out. I ask the salesman if he had a battery for the impact wrench and said he would find one but he never came back. Ask other salesperson if he had any extensions for that impact wrench. he could not find any and did not know when it was going to be back in stock. This was a total waste of my time.
Eventually, and only through serious perseverance on our part, did we FINALLY get our refrigerator delivered. Five attempts!!!!! The delivery people were great, as was their liaison person (Vanessa), who worked with Lowes, but dealing with managers at this store was a waste of time. One of them even skipped out on us when we had arranged to meet him. He was still listed as being in the store, on his shift, yet we were told that hed surprisingly left early, without explanation. I wont call him out but his name began with a P. One of the sales people, Zuhaib, ended up taking extra time to get everything sorted out for us. I really wanted to like Lowes but our experience has left a sour taste in my mouth.
Bad customer service. My wife and I went in this past weekend and weve been shopping for a new BBQ for sometime. While shopping we found an excellent deal and when will wanted to purchase it, we were told not at that price apparently they had a clearance going on and someone forgot to remove the sticker. The bbq was discounted almost $250 off but they said theyd give us 10% off the $500 MSRP.Incredibly unhappy. That price is what was advertised. They shouldve honored the sale price.
Spent a significant amount of money on a kitchen remodel that was plagued by the staffs bumbling customer service, poor communication and extreme lack of follow through on their promises.Even after expressing my concerns, they have continued to drop the ball on very small and simple things that could have turned this experience around.Issues naturally come up during all remodel projects, but poor communication and customer service do not have to turn minor frustrations and inconveniences into a really bad experience.
Without a doubt, worst customer service of any store I’ve ever shopped at. Employees act annoyed when asked where something is. I’m sure they are annoyed because they too have no idea where anything is. One cashier most of the time. Old time West Sacramentans miss Hollywood Hardware and their many knowledgeable and helpful employees. Lowe’s is a bad joke.
We just had the WORST service I have EVER had in my life at a store. Trying to buy a BBQ, some outdoor chairs, and some nursery items... Dealt w 4 different employees who couldn’t have cared LESS if we got what we came for. Appallingly BAD SERVICE!!! No wonder they are lising business to Amazon!!! Plan to cut up my Lowe’s credit card and NEVER shop with them again.
They offer you no help and follow you around if would install a kiosk I wouldnt be walking around looking for items I asked for help and the. Guy working there said isle 29 however I remember last time I came in there and needed sprinklers they are all the way in the back I got them though and they worked excellent 👍
This is the worst Lowes Ive been to. I saw at least 10 employees while I was walking around trying to find supplies, and not one of them said hello or offered help because they were too busy talking to each other. The store was dusty and the shelves were a mess. Management must be sleeping.
Ive heard that Lowes is WAY better than Home Depot. Not true. Sorry Lowes your people are slugs.....lazy and rude. One lady chit chatting by custom ordering for kitchen and bath area...turned rudely to me and my son coming in....can I help you? I said...we are here for sheet rock...she said if you find a shortcut to let her know??? Wth? I said...sure follow me. Ive been in there plenty and each time its another horrid experience. Cashier asked me why I didnt know my dads # by heart? Im remodeling and dont want to deal with attitude and this is why people shop online. Too much work.
I love Lowes, Kudos to the paint department where I have been spending a lot of time. Doing interior painting and the staff there have been very helpful. Brenda, Jesse, Ivania ( forgive the spelling) very especially. Who knew you could take the lowest percentage of a color to get the perfect trim to compliment . Very happy with the turn out👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Thank you🙏🏻
This review is about an online order fulfillment. I had a terrible experience with this location. The delivery coordinators and delivery guy were unprofessional and disorganized. I was called three times regarding the wrong delivery date, and then not called at all when it was my actual delivery day. The stacking kit I ordered for my washer dryer wasnt with the order on the day of, so I had to refuse delivery because I have no space in my small house to store a washer and dryer. Not to mention that the delivery guy said they dont install gas dryers and Id need to call a different person to do that.
Dont buy your carpet from Lowe’s West Sac. After much research we decided to buy our carpet from Lowe’s West Sacramento. We spent over $6000. During installation we noticed the installer was putting it in crookedly and asked him to correct it. Seams were capped and not close together. I complained to upper management and the response was to send the owner of the installation company who said our house layout must be crooked. I pointed out that our previous carpet was not crooked and that even though it had been a Berber the seams didn’t show. The owner said there was nothing that could be done. In addition to these problems there was gapping in most of the stair steps.Customer service said there was nothing they could do and left it up to the owner of the I stall action to determine whether the work had been properly done.
I normally do all my shopping on line. Today I went into the store to buy wall paint I already had picked the colors. I just wanted to place my order, at the paint department the young man told me that he was to busy to help...i was very disappointed 😕 i just went back home.. I use to like this store but after today Home Depot is where ill be shopping.
Worst customer service ever!!! I typically go t Home Depot but thought I would give Lowes a shot and regret it. I walked into the blinds department trying to get a quote and was ignored by the department employee twice. After finally acknowledging me, he was rude and was not too interested in helping me. I had to leave the store and asked if I can call to get a quote and he said that I could. I called their department and was hung up on twice. The third time, the employee I spoke with, said that he couldnt get a quote for me and kept being rude about the whole situation. Lowes, never again.
I had to finally call in a service request on my washing machine that i purchased a extended warranty on, and they will NOT fix it. what a WASTE of money!! I will now take my business back to Sears- never had a problem with Sears warrantys. Save your money and do not buy any of their appliances!!! They will NOT stand behind their service plan!
Recently purchased a dewalt saw and tend to be conscious of return policies on more expensive items. Lowes has 90 day satisfaction or your money back stickers plastered all over the store. There are even dewalt specific signs saying the same thing. It depends on who you talk to when you return since today I was told the policy is only thirty days by a very snooty employee. I asked where it says that and she says on the back of the receipt and walks off. Only problem is that it doesnt say that and after putting my foot down with a second employee, who also happened to be rude, they returned my money. After I spoke with the store manager and was told it is 90 days. save yourself some headache and go to homedepot
I eventually found what I was looking for. Lots of workers standing around doing nothing, didnt offer to help, several of them didnt know anything about their store. The layout is confusing, plumbing especially. Employees sitting in parking lot not only didnt offer to help their fellow co-worker load my truck, but laughing at him for struggling to load.I likely wont go back.
Normally it is good but today the teller didnt know what she was doing and didnt bother to try to help. We were the ones running back and forth to figure things out. They had something labeled wrong because we wanted something that was $140 and what we pulled off the shelf said it was going to be that bit it wasnt, it was $295, big difference. We got another of the same exact item and it rung up as $140. We asked a ton of time, and time is money.
Clean and well kept store. More expensive than the Home Depot, but there is a bigger selection of items to choose from (than the Home Depot). Associates ask you if you need help-while walking threw the store. (At the Home Depot they scatter like roaches, when you look for help.) Lines are never long at the registers, and they flow quickly.
I bought Flooring from Lowes because it was on sale. I picked it up a few days later because it was a special order. I realized at that time I picked it up that I did not get the sale price. I asked for the sale price when I picked it up, but I was told that because the ad was expired by one (1) day they would not honor the ad, even though my purchase was during the ad cycle. I went ahead and brought it home thinking that it would be easy to rectify through corporate support. When I called them they said they did not have a copy of last weeks ad, even though it had only been one day since it expired. They also said they would not honor the ad. Regrettably I returned the product.
This Lowes is dependable for a few things: 1. Not having what you need. 2. Poor customer service. 3. No employee expertise on areas they are assigned. My last visits went like this: Can you help me find cleaner for grout? I dont know what you mean. Isnt this the area you are assigned to? Yes, but I dont know anything about flooring. And then there was this: I walk in with my propane tank for a refill and see another customer looking bored outside. Employee inside rings me up and calls for somebody to help me. I stand for a few minutes while she chats with her coworker. I eventually ask for an update. She looks at me annoyed, and comes around the counter with her keys to open the refill station herself. The customer outside is still there. On our way out he tells me they told him they would send someone out to help him 10 minutes ago. The stories go on and on. The best thing Lowes has going for it. They are the only game in town south of I-80.
Not bad but some days the service is very slow. Like almost nobody around to help on weekdays until evening.Sometimes I get an employee that seems to know as much as I do about where something is that Im looking for. Its pretty 50/50 on if Ill get someone helpful or not and the same for if anyone of expertise for whatever specific thing I need is in or not.Otherwise, its very clean and friendly but sometimes just not very helpful.
Hit and missed here at this store. Today has to wait on counter over 30 minutes, then left without resolution. Counter folks don’t see to know what is going on. Been at this store many times and often they been very helpful and responsive. Why can they not be more consistent with their service. Ugh.
Lowes is a step down from Home Depot, but that may be just fine for most people. Youll find more people buying detergent, light bulbs, snacks and such. It irritates me when I have to wait in line for people with those kinds of items only when Im buying lumber, electrical or plumbing stuff.
We needed 1/2 plywood for scaffolding and price Thompson water seal for it and our fence. It was 101+ outside and I did NOT want to leave that wonderful AC. There were plenty of staff if we had needed assistance, but that location is HUGE and it felt like 15 or less customers, but lots or vehicles in lot. But being mobility limited with allergies to fragrances (like cleaners front/center of store) and saw only one scooter (in use) I just stood by wood and sent hubby to shop.
So I stopped at Lowes today on my way home to pick up a wood panel and picture frame hinges, but had difficulty finding the hinges. There was a sales associate, John R. that happen to be in the same isle I was... Isle 14. I approached him to ask where the picture frame hinges are located & he directed me to isle 7. As I walk to isle 7, I see curtains and rods ONLY.-no picture frame hinges in sight. I decided to walk to the register and was helped by a young gentleman that was VERY helpful. This item was located on ISLE 18!!! A huge difference from where John R. directed me to. Dont be like John R., directing customer to the wrong isle. As I was walking to the hinges, who was at the help desk.....next to Isle 18? OF course.. John R. was!! Apparently he doesnt know where anything is located, but direct customers in the wrong direction. This is not BRAIN surgery. In the end, I got what I needed from the help of 2 other employees who had to pick up his slack & did his job for him.

2022-04-25I prefer this store over their competitors. Here the staff is always willing to help and if they dont know the answer they will find a staff member that does. Prices are about the same so I go where I can get service. Plants at Lowes are generally in better condition than the other big hardware store. Needed to replace an air conditioner. I had already looked at the other hardware store and bought it here. Staff here is so helpful. However the only checkout open was for self serve. Not my choice for checking out. May have to visit the competition again.

2022-06-13The employees working were great and really helpful! I gave a star for each one; however, there was no registers open other than self-check out!! What a long and awful process. Multiple customers had carts filled with more than 50 items ( including me). Multiple people had to get help from the one person overseeing all the self checkout. It took so long and it was A’s do frustrating!! They need to have at least one register open for customers with full baskets. I’m going to another store next time.

2022-04-03Thank you so much to Juanita for the absolutely amazing customer service. She provided us with expert advice and is an amazing contribution to the Lowe’s team. We have been coming to Lowe’s in West Sacramento since 2020 when we recently purchased our house and she by far has provided the best customer service experience.

2022-02-06Terrible customer service. Not sure what’s going on with the training process at this company but I cringe most of the times I have to end up shopping here.I can’t even really be mad at the employees because it seems like it’s a pretty across-the-board low standard for customer service. To be fair, there are one or two stand out surprises every once in a while and I have to be grateful to those employees who are actually trying but at this point I shouldn’t even really be surprised every time at the atrocious standards set by this company.Only thing that triggered me to finally post anything is my experience today where the employees are talking and joking to themselves while I am doing the self check out. As I leave, the employee confronts me to demand my receipt. That’s fair enough and I appreciate him doing his job to help keep theft to a minimum but it is a bad feeling when someone assumes you are trying to steal something when they could have just been paying attention to me paying for the items instead of being distracted by whatever else.I have been told flat out to my face by another employee that he couldn’t help me because they are expecting a corporate person to visit the store and he’s not allowed to leave his station ??In my opinion that pretty much captures the problem here – complete loss of focus on what really should matter the most to any retailer- which has to be the customer right?Glad to have another box store option but can’t figure out how this store is still even open :(Customer service deserves to be better represented than this.

2022-03-24Patrick was awesome, understood everything I asked for and needed. He researched in the computer and explained all the technical aspects of my needs/tasks/situations and pulled the products off the shelf, personally loading my cart. He worked efficiently all while we conversed about life and current events. He walked me to a sales person where I received Veteran discount without complications. He came out to the truck and loaded the five heavy items himself; I was experiencing issues and pain; he was very empathic to my needs/situation.His customer service was off the scale; as good as anyone in any industry. The price was also quite reasonable. Super job Patrick and Lowes

2022-06-12Store Manager very helpful finding things and matched prices for another Lowes. Not sure why two same chain stores have different prices in 20mins of each other but the manager sorted me out. Great experience.

2022-06-20Started off well using Ranil in West Sacs door/installation area. His service was great, price was good and he was very patient. It took 8 weeks for the doors to arrive, 4 weeks to have their installer pick up the doors (standard these days & no issues). This is where is got pretty bad. Lowes broke the doors (9 of them), the installer called and said Lowes needed to reorder them. I had to be proactive to see if Lowes could install any of them, after 2 hours they agreed to send the installer to install our fire rated garage door and new front door. The installer came and he was awesome, 5 star service & went above and beyond. We then waited 6 weeks for our 9 replacement interior doors to arrive. Same installer went to pick them up and they were in bad shape, we agreed on the phone not to wait for replacements and fix them ourselves. I expected Lowes to call me with an apology but instead they called me and told me in a rude tone that my warranty was now void and its all my fault....pretty horrible service. The installer did his job, we have new doors and Ill fix the issues myself. Lowes called again to reinforce the warranty issue, I told them to look up my account but the guy couldnt...such a mess. I asked for the general manager to call me, of course no one did. No offer of sorry, discount nor ownership of the issue. Instead they blamed the manufacturer for the issues and stated on the phone it was not their fault. Fair to say they have lost a customer for life and their care factor is zero. Why would anyone buy from such a place?

2022-03-04I like Lowes better than the other big chain. Its better organized and the staff are friendlier. Also their paint department has a better variety of colours to choose from.
