Never a line, friendly staff, and always have what I need. Good to get the big stuff. Wish they had more unique selections of Christmas decorations (seemed less this year hopefully just due to covid supply lines) because I had to go to one of their competitors. Great location and MUCH BETTER than the Long Beach Towne Center location.
I came to the store last night for lumber and was provided excellent service by Daniel. He went out of his way cut the pieces for me so that they would fit in my truck for transport. He also provided some suggestions on my project. He was very helpful and courteous. I hope Lowes continues to hire associates like Daniel.
I had to change my rating. We bought a washer and dryer on Monday and it was delivered on Tuesday they came in and looked at the valve on the wall and said that Due to corrosion they could not install it which I understand. I replaced it the valves and I’m ready to have it them come back and install it. Now when you call the store the automatic system picks up the phone and tells you that they’re doing everything possible to answer your call as quickly as possible I have called three times and it rings at least six minutes before I get frustrated and hang up I only have one number on the receipt to call to have them come back and install the washer and dryerWe now have to get in the car and drive over to the store to make arrangements for them to come back and finish installing the washer and dryer this seems totally unnecessary to me but I understand we only spent $2000 there! Apparently that’s not enough to rate someone answering the phone. I would go to the one at the town center it’s a much better managed store in fact we were going to buy it there but they didn’t have it in stock so this is where we’re at you’re better off to deal with the Lowe’s at the town center for appliances.
Experience of getting materials, phenomenal. Workers know the place like the back of their hand, but theres a caveat. Some employees have more experience than others, so if you want to get the most of it, ask multiple staff,(usually the guys that look theyve been there for years)
Horrible customer service. I was trying to understand a “freight charge” of $95.00 on my invoice for special order blinds-for 4 windows. That $95 equates to a 20% surcharge! All customer service would say is that if i am charged, it’s a necessary fee. Competitor does not charge any such fee and free shipping. Needless to say going with competitor!
I called in to verify if they had an item in stock and the lady, I spoke with said they had 13 in stock. I checked with her multiple times to make sure they were at the store because I was driving 20 miles to get the item I needed. I spoke with the lady the night before and when I got there the next day there was none on the shelf, so I asked a person working there and they said they havent had any in stock for at least a few weeks. This made me so mad because I was given misinformation on an item I needed. I drove all that way for nothing. I will not be going back here.
Mathias is AMAZING!!! My husband and I had issues finding a large 50 gallon tote that was listed as available online, but nowhere to be found. He took the time to walk around the store with us looking for it. We finally found one all the way up on the very top shelf! He was able to get it down for us and it was PERFECT! He really makes customers feel valued. WONDERFUL customer service. Give this man a raise!
Came in today to return a damaged heater. As soon as we walked up to the counter we asked the girl if we can please get an even exchange. Right away with attitude she said “we don’t have any” I asked her if she can please check online and her response was “I’m customer service and it’s my job to know what’s in stock so I know it’s not in stock” I told her I’ve worked customer service for retail before and I know for a fact she could check online and if in stock she can help me get an even exchange. She looked at me and my husband and said “we’ll we have 2 in stock you can you back there and check if you want” my husband went around the store to find an associate to help him. He was eventually told there was 2 but one was on hold and one was damaged. He also told my husband they were available online and that they could help Him order one online as an even exchange. My husband comes back upset and lets the girl know what he was told by the other associate. She seems annoyed and tells us Anaheim has 5. We ask if she can please call and confirm and if so can one be placed on hold for us. She seems to make a call not sure what’s going on, she walks away and I get left at the counter for 10 mins. An associates asked if I was being helped and I told her I was bit the girl walked away and I had no clue was was going on. She asked the other guy at custom service and he seemed confused on why she just walked away. I gave it another 2 mins and she never returned so I decided to leave. Her customer service is the WORST!! When placed in customer service counter it’s your job to help your guest out and have them leave with a solution not just leave them standing there for minutes alone confused and forced to leave because they aren’t getting answers. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name because she’s the ONLY one not wearing a name tag. But she has dark burgundy hair with a tattoo of across on her left wrist! This happened December 4 at around 4pm.
Get this. I purchased tile and installation at this store in Long Beach. I was concerned about the installer showing up because of a few red flags when I was trying to schedule with them. Sure enough after disconnecting the gas, turning my kitchen upside down, and taking a day off from work for installation day, the installers never showed up. It sounds like a sub contractor issue and it is, but it gets worse.Feeling powerless that I couldn’t leave in case the installers showed up, I called the Lowe’s store to see if they could solve my problem. My call was forwarded to the flooring department 3 times. Each time no one picked up and the call was sent back to the “customer service” desk. I asked to speak with someone else like a manager and after being on hold for another 20 minutes I became a little frustrated. The same customer service representative who eventually picked up sounded like she was hearing my problem for the first time. When she sensed my frustration, she hung up on me.After going to the store, I returned the $5,000 worth of tile and material, and I got a refund on the installation that never happened. I don’t have to shop there again and I won’t. But the bigger concern is why do small consumers like myself have to sacrifice service for convenience, and since when is the inconsideration and disrespect of hanging up on a customer okay? Is the store policy to not address problems like this because the sheer volume of business will balance out the loss?The salt in the wound was at the end of the day I got a text message asking me to give a thumbs up or thumbs down to rate their installation service. Unfortunately the emoji I wanted to use to rate them wasn’t an option. Just like the one star on this rating seems a bit much.
My wife found a watering can on the Lowe’s website that she really liked. I looked it up and saw they had 130 of them in stock. I went to the location and searched until I found the watering cans section. None on the shelf. No problem, I will ask and associate. The employee I spoke with confirmed on his end that they had received a shipment almost 2 weeks ago, and that they had 130 in stock, but he didn’t know where they were. He conferred with a couple other employees, but they didn’t know the location either. Long story short, yes, they have the watering cans I want to purchase, but I’m not able to purchase one because they don’t know where they are. This is just the most recent negative interaction I’ve had at this Lowe’s location. I can’t think of one time I came here and the customer service was up to my standard. I ended up walking up and down the isles trying to find them up in the steel myself, but no luck. Well, at least I got some extra steps in…?
I asked one employee for a specific kind of bit adapter and he said, Everything we have like that would be right here. I knew they must carry the item, so I asked another employee and he led me right to it. (In a completely different part of the store.) Ask more than one person if you cant find what you need.
Shelby delivered my order to my car. She was a delight. Friendly, knowledgeable, and most of all prompt. She brought my order within a couple minutes of my arrival. Lowes should strive to hire more customer service associates like her.I would return for my home improvement needs. Thank you so much Shelby!
I bought an AC Unit here and it came with a 2 year factory warranty. Within this time limit the unit broke, so I contacted the manufacturer and they told me they would take it, but they need the Lowe’s receipt, my credit card statement showing I purchased the AC at Lowe’s was not sufficient.So I called this Lowe’s to ask, but they told me they can only go 6 months back to print a receipt. They could send an email to corporate to look for the older receipt, or if I want to I can just return the unit, but for store credit only since I don’t have the receipt. I told them that’s no problem, I’d be ok with store credit.So I drag the AC down the stairs, in my car and drive to Lowe’s and they tell me they won’t accept it. They also wouldn’t help me to get the old receipt so I can send it to the manufacturer. The manager, Sam, spoke to me, but turned around and walked away while I was speaking.I’m willing to remove this review if you guys provide me with either the receipt so I can submit this to the manufacturer, or exchange my old AC for a working model (or even repairing it would be fine with me also).
Great service, prices, & such a clean well organized store with a lot of product in stock for anything that you may be working on.This store has a large well organized tool section for just about anyones budget & the selection of tools are well organized.Also if you need any help the staff there in the tool section as well as along with all the other sections in the store all have great people working there that will actually help you & they all know where things are as well as they know what there talking about.Thank You Lowes & a Big Thank You to all of your staff team members that work there.I had & have such a worry free comfortable visit & transaction every time that I go to this Lowes.Thanks again,DJE
I was there to purchase a LED work light for garage and new shower valve to upgrade shower operation. I was helped in both the light and plumbing areas by very competent associates that found an alternative light for the garage since the one I wanted needed to be ordered and the associate in plumbing found the type and finish of shower valve system I wantef. The shower system was hard to find and Im not sure if I could have found by myself. A very good visit at Lowe.
We came into the store to order appliances (stove,microwave, dishwasher) for our kitchen remodel. Diego was excellent with his knowledge & customer service which we appreciate 👏. He did his job for sure. So we ordered or items $4500+ . Items were scheduled to be delivered on Saturday we were supposed to get a call Friday evening with delivery time. No call. We ended up calling them. They gave us a window 9 a.m. -1 p.m. & said that we could track the driver to see how many other deliveries were ahead of us. We were supposed to be #5. So when he was on delivery #8 we called & asked why we were skipped. They said the driver had ti reroute his deliveries & that he was still within the time window. By now hes on #12. No call nothing. So I go to the store. Asst manager informs me that our items were at the store & were never even put on the truck!! Wow. His solution to this issue was for me to rent the lowes truck (they would reimburse me ) & deliver it myself! Noooooo. The only thing I could do was let them deliver it the next day. This pushed our contractor behind a day & cost us more money. The delivery came the next day & the delivery service they use is a JOKE. DONE WITH LOWES BACK TO HOME DEPOT. We still had more item to buy & we are also remodeling laundry room & bathroom. Very disappointing 😞
Lowes tries to be a home improvement store but they always seem to fall a little short of my expectations. They dont have enough staff, bit the people there try their best. They dont always have stuff in stock. Dont even think about trying to find something on their website let alone order something to be shipped to your house.
A billions stars for Michael Rafferty outside garden. I called and went to Lowe’s so many times I was just lost. No one wanted to help and left without help. I was “FRUSTRATED”. I called every Lowe’s. Realize I am trying to spend a few thousand dollars on a Shed. I was hung up on more than you can imagine. Every single Lowe’s. Realize I called to get a shed and everybody failed to tell me the actual dimensions.This man stepped up and understood my frustration.Why don’t you have a Secret Shopper. My husband and I managed a 24 unit apartment complex we frequent Lowes or Home Depot three to four times a week Lowes is closer to us they are fabulous store you can find almost anything youre looking for at this store trust they have seasonal items in their Garden area is wonderful plus this is the store we order our appliances from for all of our apartment
I was looking for a plant. When I asked customer service for help, they said if we have it, it should be over there. I told the girl if she can you check, if youve had some in another store? She said no, we dont keep inventory on any plants. Poor customer service for this store thanks to that employee.
Every time I have to go to Lowe’s, it’s going to be a frustrating, time consuming experience. There’s no staff available to help, and when you find someone they act annoyed. I have to call the store while I’m in it to ask for where something can be found. And oftentimes the department won’t answer the first 2-3 times I call. Currently writing this review as the phone rings and rings in the background with no one answering. Trash store.
I called Lowes on Bellflower Blvd. 4 times trying to reach some one in the plumbing department. Never was able to reach anyone AFTER FOUR CALLS!Why cant a large big box store hire someone to direct customer calls and follow up to determine whether or not a customer has been assisted?Maybe they do not care?So I took my business to another hardware store.
Lowes third party vendor that does delivery for appliances is terrible. Very bad customer service and they missed my delivery time. Management could have done a better job at being proactive about the situation but did not which was very disappointing. I had to call corporate office and file a formal complaint. Be very careful about ordering from Lowes. You may want to consider going to a more reliable company, such as Howards or Sears where you can get better customer service. It seems at Lowes they are too big and they dont take customer service seriously and will irritate the customer.
Horrible horrible horrible customer service. Made a 4k order and for 2 days Ive been calling to speak to someone regarding the scheduled delivery. Twice of these calls holding nearly an hour only to be hung up on. The last two calls I asked to speak to a manager and after being transferred and call ringing and ringing, I get hung up on. AVOID AT ALL COSTS BUYING HERE. About to cancel my order and go through another store.
I am so impressed with Lowes. I had some questions about fountain pumps and also how to make the grass grow in my whole backyard. A very knowledgeable employee addressed my questions, suggested what I needed and showed me the places where the items he had recommended were located. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. I am rarely a 5 star giver, but Lowes is deserving of every one.
This Lowe’s consistently has the worst customer service. Call, they pick up the phone and hang it up just quickly enough for you to hear the employees laughing. Ask someone where to find something, be prepared for a heavy sigh and a “that’s not my department.” Go to customer service for anything, prepare to wait while the employees look at you and continue their conversation about their weekend plans. Don’t even try to order online and pick up via the app, you’ll be waiting in your designated parking spot till the cows come home.

There is risk buying here!Sales person, great. 5 stars all the way.The delivery guys, great. 5 stars for them.The store, horrible. 1 star. 60 minutes on 6 total calls to verify the delivery window. Could not reach any department or manager. Only time anything went right on the delivery day was when I got past the store and in touch with the delivery company. And I don’t think the drivers are actually Lowe’s employees?At 830 we call back and they say tomorrow call in, having had to look my order up by name because a 10 year old phone # was in their system. A number long since gone.Technology, 1 star. Lowe’s, its 2020 not 2000, get delivery tracking online. If people don’t actually have to deal with your team on the phone, they will like you a lot better.
If you decide to buy a Washer Dryer at Lowes and expect them to deliver and install the appliances as they say they will please think twice. Installers just dont want to install the appliances if something doesnt fit with their narrow vision of what should be with where the appliances are to be installed. These guys just dont have any ability to think outside a very narrow window of what they are allowed to do or just dont want to do it in the first place. This seems to be a trend with these third party installers as I have seen many complaints about this on line. The installer told my wife because one of our washers faucets had a drip they wouldnt install the washer and because the Dryers gas line required a fitting, a fitting I bought and they should have had with them, they didnt want to install the Dryer. When I purchased the appliances I asked for and purchased all the hoses and fittings required just SO the appliances could be delivered and SET UP. I ended up having to come home and set up both appliances myself. It wasnt hard and took me all of 30 minutes but the point is I shouldnt have had to do it. The point is I spent over $2 grand for these appliances and Lowes insisted that they would install them, they didnt. Next time Ill not buy from Lowes.
With the exception of the cashiers and the customer servive is mediocre at best. I had to go to a 3 different people to get an item down that was not on the shelf but on a palette that required a forklift. The 1st 2 individuals never showed up and fail to retrieve the item I needed. After finally catching somebody that walked by they retrieve the item I needed and I was finally able to check out and leave. A waste of 30 minutes of my time
Just went to Lowe’s yesterday. I have not been in the store for about 6 months. This store was always my choice over Home Depot. I needed certain light bulbs. Since I could not find them, I kept looking for a salesperson to help. I could not find anyone. There weren’t visible salespeople anywhere on the floor near the lighting, including any of the other departments close by. After 10 minutes I went to the customer service counter and asked that they find someone to help. Another 5 minutes and no one. Asked again, no one. As I decided to leave the store, I saw the three customer service people in another part of the store just chatting. I will not be returning to this store. Employee training is either poor or nonexistent.What a waste of my time. I went to the Home Depot on Atlantic in Signal Hill. Just the opposite experience. Found someone in a few minutes that was helpful, informed and I left the store with merchandise.
Went here to price out various components of a bathroom remodel. In terms of service, seemed great. In terms of goods available/services seems like better quality products and therefore a little bit more expensive than other home Improvement stores like Home Depot. Overall, we liked what we saw and will probably be back once we figure out potential deals/financing for what we want to accomplish for our remodel.
Excellent service! I went there to buy a couple of 96 wide tan cordless roll-up shades for my patio. Online it stated there were 10 in stock at the Central Long Beach store. I got there and the bin was empty, but one of the employees went above and beyond to find the pieces staged in a box high up above the bins. She was able to get the pieces down for me so my trip was successful! Im sorry I didnt get her name. She was a great, friendly, helpful employee!
You cant blame covid for everything. The level of service from management to the 3rd party company that they use for carpet installation is a joke. I cant believe that it has been almost two months and I still havent had my carpet installed. Manager was supposed to call me back after looking into delay with 3rd party company. Im on week two and still have not heard anything. Reaching out to CEO to see how that goes.
This store has the best customer service I have experienced and better than Walmart located on Paramount/Carson bcs I have been put in the back of a police car and not been able to breath after minutes of been sat in the back of the car.I enjoyed this place and felt safe, unlike Walmart, I dont feel safe to park or shop.Thank you Lowes,Grajeda, Herman
I went to get sum drywall and i had the cart next to it ready to load it and two lowes employees were walking by and i asked for help they sed they would send someone and never got there when I went to pay one of the employees was there doing nothing just talking and laughing with two other co workers,i wouldnt come back to this lowes.
First let me say that Diego Jimenez in Appliances is one of the most helpful & sincere people Ive met! He has helped me with purchases for my home from Jan 2020-Oct 2020 (dishwasher, washer, dryer). Today I had to visit the Lowes Central LB store because the installers didnt properly place the flex duct dryer hose away from the gas line (so it rubbed and tore from only 1 month of use)! Jose the Store Manager offered to have the installers back out to my home but I didnt want them out again (since they already messed up once). Jose was very helpful in replacing the duct dryer hose without charge and even gave me an upgraded flex duct hose! Thank You Jose.
This review is for Marissa in customer service.As someone who worked in retail management for 10+ years - Marissa’s work ethic is what defines leadership.If this employee hasn’t been offered a promotion they should be considered. Marissa went out of their way to track down an item that a previous employee gave up on. Marissa listened to our concern about an item being in stock and immediately offered to call back after tracking it down.I’m constantly complaining about the poor customer service my boyfriend and I receive but we were both so impressed with Marissa. The fact that they have the ability to provide a solution and follow up SO QUICKLY (I mean fast!) screams *management material*
I had a very disappointing shopping experience. I looked online and they said they had 15 smart LED bulbs in stock. trusting that, I drove 10 MI to find they dont have any. it says 15 in stock in the computer and they cant find them , so disappointed... I drove 10 miles back home empty handed😡
I had to encourage several salesmen to help me. They were hesitant to help me . So I used reverse psychology on them. I Finally got 3 of them to help me.It took over 15 minutes for someone to help me. But I finally got what I wanted and they all apologized for their hesitation for not helping me at my earlier request.
I like it better than Home Depot, mainly because when you ask for help, youll get help.Home Depot management in general doesnt seem to care for customers that need help.I see a lot of unhappy employees working at Home Depot, they just show up to pick up a check, but they dont want to work
I purchase a router and tried to price match the same exact model with the regular price from another local vendor in the area. I was told that they only price match with home depot. Its kind of hard to price match when home depot and Lowes dont carry the same brands.
Your display model doesnt match what you have in stock...I call that bait and switch. Unscrupulous advertising very disappointing having to waste time looking for false stock...if your wandering what Im referring to a Vanity you had on display, has a different door and facia front than what you have in stock..thats what the customer noticed.. not happy with a plain looking vanity..in the future you might want to display exactly what youre selling...some people do notice.
Three days in a row we returned to this store because nobody was available to help us. Everyone was in 2-hour plus meetings ON EACH day. How can this store sell anything when nobody is on the floor to sell it.A company that has this many meetings day after day is wasting money and will not be open much longer.
I usually can find items on my own. Trying to find an associate to assist if almost impossible.One time, my husband and I were waiting over five minutes at the kitchen cabinet/countertop section. I called the store from inside the store, informing them were waiting for someone for our appointment. It too another five minutes. I couldnt believe it, but the person was brand new and didnt have knowledge of the product and didnt have anyone she could ask.
Ive been doing a lot of home improvements and every time I come here the customer service is very poor. There is often no one around to help with paint, most of the staff is not very knowledgeable of the tools. Checking out is the worst experience and will double the time it takes you to shop here. Either you do self checkout and all but one of the machines is broken or you go through the cashiers which takes so long.
I love my local Lowes off Carson and 605 but unfortunately they were out of propane. I called this Lowes location (2840 N Bellflower Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90815) to check if they had anything in stock before making the drive. I called and the phone rang for 5 mins then was immediately sent to hold for another 10 minutes. I called back and tried the curbside option to see if someone would pick up but had the same experience. Its rare that I leave bad reviews but.... I just wanted to know if they had propane.
Ordered in stock items online for a curbside pickup. Almost 5 hours later, they cancel my order without a clear explanation. So, thanks, because now I wasted today waiting on getting the supplies I needed & you cancel the items. It is putting me a day behind. Whats bad is the email said it may be for one of these reasons & lists a few. So, not sure how to remedy this issue because they dont actually tell you.
Terrible customer service. Asked two men in the window department about getting glass cut. Asked for help twice and were told to wait a few minutes. We waited for nearly ten minutes and the two men just left. As we were leaving we saw one of the workers at the front and asked why they never came back to help us and he blamed the other guy for it being his department. How do you just leave customers waiting for your service?
I needed some items for upgrading my condo. The employee named Ellis was very helpful. He helped me find what I needed quickly and showed me the options. He did not pressure me to buy the expensive ones and for that I was grateful. All in all it was a pleasant experience. I will be back to Lowes soon.
I needed to buy a air duct for my portable a/c . I couldnt find the right size but a team member Jim in that dept. was so helpful in giving me info on how to adapt! Came home, installed and it works great! I am so pleased in the amazing customer service, i will definitely be back. I have never gotten this kind of help from home depot ever which is closer to my house. I had originally sent my husband there 4 our replacement duct and they didnt have it and told him he can go online and order it. However we could not find the size we needed still. Anyhow kudos Jim!! Our house is now cool 😎
I’m used to Lowe’s being a friendly hardware place. This is the worst Lowe’s I’ve ever been to. Staff ignoring customers, being rude, sending ppl to the wrong aisles. If you don’t know where something is tell me to ask another person instead of sending me in the wrong direction. Customer service was packed with workers but they were ignoring everyone in line. When someone did call me over she proceeded to take 5 minutes writing a note and NEVER greeted me. I immediately said hi, like any nice person would, and she ignored me. I suggest you go somewhere else, this place sucks.
This Lowes is always clean and well stocked! The staff are also friendly and willing to answer questions your questions! You can turn in your old light bulbs and they will recycle them for you! (The fluorescent and long lasting ones) Which I think is pretty neat, so I thought I would share it will everyone.
I went to Lowes to see if I can buy refrigerators. I found the refrigerator I wanted. I am a Army Vet and tried to get my 10% discount and the lady in the customer service could not do it. Saying the price is already low. She says I would have to pay the full price. I told her I will go to home depot instead because I never have a problem using my 10% discount there. Instead of trying to work with me she said ok sorry have a good day I know a $1000.00 is not big money for Lowes but I was going to continue to purchase more stuff for my new apartment. But now I say screw them I am going to home depot.
Ive always been more of a home depot guy but this specific Lowes changed my whole perspective on home care, i came here to get tools for work but ended up getting so much more. The people were very helpful and engaging, it didnt feel like i an associate was assisting me. It felt like my expert best friend was shopping with me and giving me advice. I got tools, cleaner, draino, gloves, and a tee shirt. The trip saved me money, gas i was gonna use to go to walmart and time.
I figured that the reports of unbelievably bad customer service at this site were exaggerated. Theyre not. like theyre really really not exaggerated. This store is filled with great stuff and awful people. It took 20 minutes and 3 calls from the cashiers on a slow afternoon to get someone to help and the person that did help came over from another department. That was Rodrigo. He was great, but he couldnt get my product without manager assistance. 15 more minutes and 3 more calls he couldnt get a manager our the store manager. Ultimately, I went to another store, the one on Carson. The people at that store were pleasant and helpful. They have great customer service.
Personally my entire life ive been a home depot only girl. I buy tool and hatdware and supplies often and know my way around any home depot and would have swore I would neber visited a Lowes. Its the only place my parents will go for any home depot type needs and they have been trying for a long time to get me check it out. Im quite stubborn. They finally got me a gift card to Lowes so I would go there and of course I did. This was my 2nd time ever stepping foot into a Lowes and I now see why my parents tried so hard to get me to go in there. Its a great store. Huge selection, extremely clean and organized. More regular household items as well as all the home depot tools and hardware. Only thing that eas definitely noticeable was not one employee that I had interaction with was even a tiny bit courteous. Somewhat like a walmart worker. Just seemed like they were so bitter they were at work that the last thing they wanted was to be bothered by a customer
This location has horrible service right now. Nobody is attending curbside pickup, nor do they pick up the phone. There is also nobody monitoring who goes out and comes in, and whether they are wearing mouth coverings, so there is no point to all the COVID safety measures. Stay away during this time. Home Depot is much better.
Very bad customer service. I ordered rockwool 2x6 R-30 for atic online wich it shows there are 13 batches in stock. But when go in store after driving 22 miles and waited 30 minutes in store, they came back to tell me that they dont have them in stock. Not event apologies or anything to ease my anguish. Lowes sucks!
Worst experince of my life. very incompetent customer care service. Ordered $5k online 2 months ago, partilaly was assigned to them, but they do not even talk to you on the phone and either hang up or put you on an indifinte hold. Please do not order anything online to be fullfiled by this store on Belflower BLVD in Long beach
Went tonight w/my 10 yr old daughter. Purchased 7 bags of 50# sand, 10 pavers and 4 bags of mulch. Adked cashier if I could get someone to help me load stuff into truck. NOT 1 SALES ASSOCIATE EVER SHOWED. I managed to load by myself w/injured hand. Thank you Lowes, taking my business back to Home Depot..
Most home repair brick stores always seem to make it hard to find someone to help you. I went to go get some keys made and I noticed they have a button the push its pretty small so you have to look for it but after I pushed it someone was there to make my keys and less than 30 seconds. Once you push the button a computer automatically announces what section youre in and that you need assistance. Great idea I certainly dont get that kind of help at Home Depot.
Disappointing!!!! Store manager Mike, refused to offer help while I was attempting to purchase blinds. I asked 3 employees for help. I stood in the aisle waiting until one employee out of pity went to find another employee in the break room, who happen to be the only one in the store who knew how to use the Blind cutting machine. Another employee encouraged me to complain due to the lack of care or concern, dismissive attitude of Mike, and 25 minute delay in just getting service. I hope know one else gets this treatment.
Asked for help finding some unusual batteries. A young cashier pointed me in the direction of the battery display. No offer to assist. I couldnt see so well without my glasses but still no offer to help. I had to search for another 5 min through the battery selection before finding something which I thought would work. On checking out to pay u asked the cashier if she could verify that the batteries I was buying matched my sample. She begrudgingly checked and confirmed they matched.Lowes normally has excellent service but this time it did not meet even the minimum of standards. Sad to see this from a Lowes store.
I have tried to contact a manager because a problem with our refrigerator we have tried several times to contact the manager with being hung up on or being put on hold or moved from associate to associate. I finally got an email where I have sent emails the last 4 days with no response. Horrible response time no response at all has us feeling like we no longer want to do bussiness
Ive always had great customer service. I was once told (when struggling with loading lumber onto the cart) that I could call the pro-desk ahead and they would pull it for me. This morning I did just that, and they were happy to accommodate me. It wasnt a large order, but Im a small woman with recent shoulder surgery and I was happy to have the opportunity to ask for help.
I refused to go to the store on Carson, LBTC, the worst custom service, so I tried the other on Spring simular situation the gal with short blonde hair rude as hell, I had to walk away, I later walked up an to the gal I wanted to cancel my online order I gave her Order # she asked me you have been here for 3 hours why did they just go pull off shelve I had to tell her that blondie said I had 100 people before they get mine, the gal said Oh my gosh I am so sorry you had to experience that. She called guys in Plumbing he pulled the 2 items however he pulled the wrong part ,I said please just refund me for the one your Plumbing guy pulled I just want to leave , she deserves a raise.
Lowes was and still is my favorite go to home improvement stores. Sometimes when I get home and go over my receipts, Ive noticed that I wasnt charged for an item. The devil told me to let it go, but I hear my heavenly father in a loud thunderous voice tell me to go back and tell the cashier. And you know, I hesitated but I thought if I dont go back and pay for it. every American shopper would have to pay for my ONE item so I went back and paid for it along with the taxes!!! Am I an American lover or not? I love my country
The non-stop Christmas music is annoying and totally unnecessary. Especially on December 27th--its not like I forgot Christmas was two days ago and need to be reminded to buy gifts (and the time machine needed to deliver them on time). The only logical reason to play it non-stop is if theyre in a labor dispute and are using it as psychological warfare to wear down their employees.
Poor customer service. I went with my daughter to purchase a Christmas tree. Im disable, so I stayed in the car. She chose and paid for a tree that they charged taxes on....never heard of a Christmas tree being TAXED, and they did not help tie the tree to our car. It was five (5) guys working there and not one helped my daughter. After the guy put it on top of the car he just walked away. Did not asked if we had anything to tie down the tree or anything, just walked away and return back chatting with the other 4 guys doing nothing. Sad, I wanted my daughter to have them take it back.DONT BUY YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE FROM LOWES STICK WITH THE MOM & POP VENDORS.
Strange how upset people are who work here. I ask where something is - Il pointed to an isle I THINK ITS HERE - WALKS AWAY and its not there.Paint department bad attitude. Cant match my paint oh well.Strange. At least be polite.Not sure why they are like this but its definitely painful to go here and be treated the way they do. Feels like they know you need things for your house and dont really have a choice.Management should train their employees to at least be polite.
Got racially profiled when I tried to buy a vacuum cleaner, they immediately asked for id once I used my credit card like its some customary practice. Id like to see them enforce that on every customer, instead of just me. the lationo woman that yelled where I should stand is racist and needs to be fired. dont do your business here. only reason I came out there anyways was to get a vacuum that they only had in stock.
I want to love Lowes but I cant. Their selection is limited, staff is rude and lacking in home improvement and department knowledge. Oh, and they Dont allow cutting of trim boards. I usually try Lowes first but then end up at Home Depot.Our last effort to buy paint resulted in us purchasing at Sherman Williams for many more dollars, but their staff had the knowledge to help us choose the right paint.
This is the worst place to shopThe help is useless. You cant get through to ANYBODY. They all put you on hold. Ive tried to order 25 blinds, I cant get anyone to TAKE MY MONEY and order them. They have wasted my time for 3 weeks. I got as far as having their guy come and measure the windows..
This Lowes is unbelievable. Long story short, they delivered a refrigerator accidentally to me (they had the wrong address for the delivery). I was out of town and my mom was house sitting, so she accepted it not knowing it wasnt ours. When Lowes realized it was a mistake, they took it upon their will to have the delivery guy enter into my garage and remove the refrigerator without knocking, calling, or even notifying us of the issue. So they basically trespassed into our garage (it was closed, but the side door was unlocked) took the refrigerator back. They never called to explain the situation at all. When I finally got in touch with someone that could help me solve this issue their explanation was, we needed to get the fridge back to give it to the customer. I am not upset that their was a mix up with delivery, but I am FURIOUS at the fact that they felt could just come onto our property, enter our garage, and act like it was totally fine. Then to top it off, it appears that the guys dinged my car as I now have 2 scratches/dents on my car! I dont even know how this can be rectified but I am just in shock that they did this and to top it off Brian and Carlos (the managers I spoke to) are acting like it is no big deal and they made the best decision under the circumstances.
I was so impressed with a Salesman by the name of Steve in the appliance department when I went in to buy a stove. He helped me find one that was on sale. I told him I was hesitant to buy it without doing any comparison shopping. He asked which stores I would have checked and said we could check them out online right there! His stove was the best price and I bought it! The whole process took about 10 minutes! I was SO HAPPPY! Thanks Steve!
The guys working the Christmas tree lot at the LB Towne Ctr were very rude, didnt even acknowledge us as we walked past them, kept laughing about something on their phone. So we went to the store in Los Altos on Spring and had a great experience. The guys were all working and helping customers with smiles. Will definitely go back to the Los Altos Lowes from now on.And for those complaining about the Veterans discount. Its really easy to go online and register. My dad did and he just gives them his phone number at the register and discount comes off. If ya need help signing up, just ask. The associates here helped my dad register on his phone.😊
Although, I feel like refrigerator should last longer than 3 years I was promptly helped and assisted by the manager Anthony. I didnt want to spend $500 on another refrigerator but he made the process very simple easy and fast. I appreciate his customer service.I would also like to add that Lowes should provide a recycling program if your previous appliances were purchased from them. I KNOW they will refurbished my refrigerator and sell it. Some sort of discount should be issued, customer loyaltY!. Companys are moving away from this, making it very difficult to with stand competition.
I was in the store for the second time in a week to get BBQ supplies. Even though I spent a combined 40+ minutes in the section and saw several employees (three of whom talking amongst themselves at a register as if on a break) not once did anyone ask if I needed help. Even after visiting the same isle several times, no one so much as looked my way. Against my better judgement I spent my money and bought what I needed because I was in a hurry and anxious to start my cooking for the fathers day weekend. In short, it was the worst customer service experience Ive had in a long time. These days, we dont have as many home improvement store choices as we used to, but even in this limited market, I will never bring my money to Lowes again.
Very bad customer service. First employee was talking with friend and never came to help me like he said he would. Second employee got upset at me for crossing a barrier. Third employee seemed irritated that I asked him for help. He was looking around for someone else to help me. Finally, he answered my questions and was helpful. This Lowes is more of a boys club. Steer clear if youre a DIY girl like me.
All kind of employees, but not a one asked any customers if they needed help. I had to help a couple of ladies. The girl in paint just ignored me, until I said something. When I worked at a lumber company in Los Alamitos we always asked our customers, no matter what part of the store we were at.
I ordered a dishwasher. They called to schedule delivery. I scheduled it for Thursday. They said the delivery company would call with a time frame. I got 9AM to 11AM on Thursday. Thursday 11:30 AM and no dishwasher. I called to find out that my dishwasher wasnt on the truck and NO ONE called to let me know. (Delivery company made it clear it was Lowes job to call and let me know. Lowes confirmed this.) Now they want to schedule it for NEXT Thursday (a week from now.) Seriously?!? I think Ill return the dishwasher Ive never seen and go elsewhere.
I really think its a shame how people use the review system as a way to take their frustrations out on employees and or the establishments. I use one of the ratings given here where the customer uses the reason of not getting his locks re-keyed, he proceeds to dog the hell out of the store and says to avoid her the employee at all cost and even gives her name. Now as if anyone that reads it will go to the store and say oh my lord its that women stay away from her because that guy online said to! Please! All of us have our days or moments during, but dogging people calling them idiots does not do anything but make you the person with the big mouth sound foolish. I agree we are the customer yes but that does not give us the right to badger employees. If you have a problem, Ok give it your rating and move on! Oh and just a word of advise for those out there you know the ones who have these little bad encounters and who can not wait to get home like a kid having to go to the bathroom who jumps on there computer to dog a store or one of its employees because they were not treated like the king they might think they are. Not! Chill relax the world will be here tomorrow! And for the ones who just have to complain because its just what they do! Before u call a person rude, stupid etc. stop look at that person as if they were a mirror and what you are seeing is only a reflection of yourself in most cases! I ordered a special item from this store and the time spent on the phone giving my order was a pleasant one still waiting for order but I predict there will be no problems.
Yesterday after calling 9 Lowes location to find the exact item I had to purchase, I finally was told that the Long Beach Bellflower Blvd store for sure, 100% has the exact item I need. I placed the order right away, paid for it and shortly after the payment, I received 3 email confirmation that the item is ready for pick up. As a note, every store I called, I got a very brush off attitude, saying that we dont have it, call another location. Zero help.Ok, so since I got the confirmation over the phone plus I received the 3 confirmation email that the item is ready for pick up, a person was sent to the store to pick up the item. He was made to wait there for an hour!!!!! and then he was told that they dont have it and they cancelled the order. He was then sent to another location after all that wasted time.The level of un-professionalism, no care and no responsibility is unreal and extremely upsetting.I will never order anything from Lowes. Period.
We went to Lowes intending to buy a refrigerator. We went to Best Buy first and then drove past Home Depot opting to go directly to Lowes to buy the refrigerator. We have a Lowes cc and have spent many a dollars there remodeling our bathroom and kitchen. At Lowes we go directly to the appliance department with every intention of purchasing that refrigerator. There were 4 associates 3 sitting on their computers (not assisting anyone) 1 associate assisting a customer. We looked at all the refrigerators for more then 10minutes. We approached one of the sales associates for assistance. We showed her the 2 refrigerators that we were interested in she checked her computer then said she would have to check in the back. She then asked the other sales associate that was already helping someone if he could check in the back for the refrigerator he hesitated because he was busy but he agreed to assist her. She went and sat down at her computer and apparently she was done with us. So we waited and waited and we could see he was still busy so we waited some more walked around the appliance area. Yes after waiting for who knows how long he finely told us there were 2 available but he didnt know where they were. So another associate happened to walk by and the one that was helping us asked this other associate if he could help us. At this point Im ready to leave because Im done with the run around I think weve been in the appliance area for over an hour (check your security cameras youll see us). He too said there were 2 one in Huntington beach and one in Norwalk but WE would have to go to those stores because he didnt know if they still had them. Good grief! Whatever happened to offering to contacting the other stores or just placing the order. We didnt care how you got it we just needed it. We left Lowes and drove directly to Home Depot walked directly to the appliance department and the first associate that assisted us ordered the refrigerator setup pickup and delivery we paid $1104.00 and left. The entire transaction was maybe 15minute. Well definitely not just drive by Home Depot again and I think well go ahead and apply for that cc. Regards
Been shopping here for years, always had great customer service, but not today! I couldnt find anyone to help me for quite awhile, then when I did, he was rude like I was bothering him. I walked the whole store 2x before I was helped. If the employees dont want to help people they shouldnt be in customer service.
Worst customer service ever, on several occasions. I never come here unless I expect to find what Im looking for on my own, because the staff is never helpfull. At best, thy might point in the general direction while continuing to chat with coworkers. One example: I walked in looking for something, and there were 3 Lowes employees standing inside near the entrance. I asked where the item was located, and they pointed. I was unable to find the item, so I went back and asked for assistance, and another one pointed in a different direction. I finally left after trying to find it myself. This was not an isolated experience, and I rarely go there anymore, unless I just cant find what I need elsewhere, and if I do go here I dont bother to ask for help!
This store will continually disappoint you. I ordered an appliance, paid and after 3 missed deliveries and 4 1/2 weeks later and 15 phone calls I finally found out they canceled my order so I reordered and they never processes the 2nd order. 6 1/2 weeks later still no stove. I found the exact stove at Frys and picked it up the same day. What a complete waste of time. This store is is pitiful.
I love this Lowes so much. I come here almost every day. $300, $400, $500. Unstoppable!! Michael, the best Electrical consultant. He can asnwer every question I asked and tell me how make them work well! It is good to talk with someone who knows a lot! a customer said that, too! sometimes, I come here just for asking him questions! Jessica, very sweet garden girl! She moved the shopping car for me when she saw it was very heavy, I cant believe a girl can stronger than me! OMG. Also, she organized receipt for my resale! A lot of work! A manager girl, (I forget the name), her smile and likes to talk with customers as her best friend make me so happy to come here. It is easy to talk with her what you need. She doesnt like the regular manager who is serious and sit up in high position. By the way, Dont forget to see the clearance corner at the garden center before checking out. There is nice and different plants surprised you with incredible price and update almost everyday. I cant list all nice emoplyees here. but try here! you would enjoy shopping!
Called Lowes to ask about a tiller Catherine from customer service answered the phone then hung up I called back she said someone would be with me from garden was on hold for 28 min no answer when I called back to talk to a manager she said she would put me on hold again when I asked for managers name she again hung up on me yet the guy in background was talking to someone else about what they did over the weekend I guess theyre customer service department is not up to doing theyre job what a shame
Probably one of the worst experiences my husband and I have ever been through. We found custom shades we really liked at Lowes and decided to order them. To place an order took this sales rep over 2 hours to complete....thats no exaggeration. Next step was to have an associate come out and measure our windows, which took two weeks to schedule and complete. After all of that you would think our order was complete. NOT! We had to go back to the store and finish our order? What were we there for two hours previously doing? Who knows...so my husband and I return to Lowes praying the same lady who helped us previously was not there. Well our luck, it was her again. I kid you not, we showed up at Lowes around 6:30p and did not leave until 9p! First they lost our original order, then their computer was slow, then their printer didnt work, then they over charged us for labor, then the order was wrong...I wish I was making this all up but Im not. This was our Friday night. Do not go to this Lowes and do not buy custom shades from them either. THE WORST.
Do not I repeat do not order online from this store customer service is horrible. Catherine and her 4 other coworkers are snobby & arrogant. Playing games, deliberately keeping customers on hold. They remind me of low budget dmv & county office workers who are horrifically rude!
Lowes suprised me with all of the different types of home repairs.Anything from your garage, painting, lumber,lighting, and even some toys!Wasnt crowded at 10:30 a.m on a Tuesday either.Plenty of workers, could be a little more available and helpful with both making customers know they are there to help you, and knowledge or finding someone who can be educated on certain types of whatever project your working on.Prices are reasonable, lots of parking and lots of inventory.
Sunday morning Dec 9, Store manager Jeremy and lumber young guy with a beard... Spencer ... totally helped me look for 3x5 1/4 in Durock sheets at their store. We could not locate a pallet that had it, so they referred me to Lowes at Carson St/ 605 fwy . Spencer called the store to be sure Durock sheets were there. Thank you Jeremy and Spencer! I shook their hands and thanked them for super efforts. The job was completed that day thanks to their help Later in the day, I was able to return some material I had bought yesterday. Jonathan helped me .He was also right on it and my credit card was reimbursed. Thanks again guys!
Came in for help and to buy lumber. Finally found someone to help me, and he said “I don’t know how to help you, I’ll page someone and if no one shows up then I there’s probably no one that can help you”. No one showed up of course, and no one could tell me when and if anyone could help me with my purchase in the future.

2021-08-07My girlfriend and I were meandering through our local Lowes when we saw a pretty amazing Memorial Day sale for window treatments. Since buying our house, our sheer curtains kept waking us up even on weekends when we wanted to sleep in.The 40% off sale was enough of an incentive to checkout some of the massive design books they have with different brands of window coverings. It costs you like $25 to take them home, but they refund it when you bring it back.We were working with a lovely person that I believe was named Rachel.. I couldnt track it down on the receipt. She walked us through dozens of our bookmarks and showed us anything relevant on the floor displays.We ended up buying Bali Shades for our Kitchen, Family Room, Master Bedroom and Master bathroom saving about $800 on the retail price + an additional 5% when I signed up for Lowes Credit.Was pretty surprised at the level of customer service, and wanted to make sure to go out of my way to spread the well-deserved reputation this store and department has in my inner circle now!They mentioned 40% off is the biggest sale they offer. So if youre thinking about window treatments or blinds -- shop the major holidays -- July 4th, Labor Day, Black Friday, Memorial Day -- you know anytime you start seeing those mattress commercials.

2022-01-11Customer service at this Lowes location is terrible (to say the least). We have a laundry list of issues most of which begin with the customer service .. most recently, we worked with someone in the flooring department to schedule a measurement/estimate. On the day and time of the scheduled measurement appointment no one showed up, I called the store and 3 different people told me that there was no record of it in the system. I had already spent 15 mins scheduling the appointment with someone in store, had a project number and everything.On almost every visit to this store, we ask for help from someone in the aisles in X department and they say, sure.. well get someone and without fail at least 45 minutes pass and no one has helped us. Ive then asked again, gone to the service desk and they say again that theyll get someone.Weve been told that they had in-stock toilets only to arrive and find out there are none in stock or they dont know where they are in the store to find them. Weve had a big tile order cancelled with no notice (no email, no call, zero notification at all). We then called when it was supposed to arrive to check in for a status update and it was then that we found out they had cancelled it (this happened on more than one occasion).In addition to all of this, weve been sold broken items .. a tub that was cracked was the biggest purchase that this happened with.I really dont understand how a place of this size operates with such terrible customer service. If you can afford to go to somewhere local (which is likely to cost you a little more money) and have the time to research local contractors, I would highly recommend it. This Lowes location is not worth the stress that it will cause you.

2022-03-15Worst experience ever. Not one person can get the job done right from the people in appliances to managers and customer service. Ive had to call them 5 times just to get the right dishwasher delivered. Finally got it on the calendar and they are only scheduled to pick up the wrong one the delivered in the first place. They have no idea about the one they were suppose to deliver. Horrible. And you get placed on hold hundred thousand times, very often they just hang up on you. Shame Lowes. Horrible service.

2022-03-24Worst Lowes in So. Cal. Ive had carts full of supplies and nobody there to check you out. You will end up walking the store just to find help, then they cant help you cause they say its not there job. I highly recommend Home depot or another location.

2022-04-14Lowes is good but they have a lotta room to improve. Using their website while in the store to find an aisle/bin number is terrible; the bin number is often wrong, and sometimes the aisle number is too. Using your Lowes credit card through their mobile app (generated credit card barcode) at the register does not work as advertised either. The app says to simply show the barcode at checkout. The cashier had no idea what to do with it. The extra distance to Home Depot is starting to not look so bad...

2022-05-01Not quite the appliance outlet Sears used to be. Pricing reductions arent that great on the scratch and dent stuff and they dont take into consideration the sales prices you can get at the normal stores .....so sometimes you can get a much better deal on a new appliances from a retail store than you can get on the same model scratch and dent at the outlet ......not worth the time.
