Absolutely the worst customer service set up I have ever seen in my life! The phone rings for a half hour and hangs up. I did this four times over an hour. Tired chatting online with customer service and got five different representatives who just dropped off. I finally reached Bobby in pro support who helped me.
Had what was said to be special order, when only 4 pieces (kitchen cabinets) were, rest was stock. Took over an hour for them to start pulling cabinets down, 2 hours waiting when had I been told, I would have called ahead! Waist of time, pathetic time poor customer care!
Nobody at this lowes offers help. If you have any questions on inventory and need to call them and ask you will have no luck at all. I have called over 30 times in the last few days and not a single person has answered any off them. This lowes single-handedly puts an end to all the jokes about Home Depot employees being as useless HOA security.
Ordered garage doors December 17, 2021. Said it would take about 4months. After 4 1/2 months called to check on the status of the order. Finally after several attempts talked to Kevin and was told he would research it and email me what he found out. Never heard back. Called again today. Many long waits and never did get to talk to anyone in that department. Phone system is horrible!!
I go here because I dont like going to Home Depot but they very rarely have what I want, almost always out of stock. The staff is decent but nothing special, really wish they carried more items in stock. Their return policy is awesome and hard to beat, that is why I give them three stars or else it would have been two.
Thanks Matt for Great Customer Service. Went in this morning looking for Cob Web Removal replacement heads, he was busy stocking shelves, the shelf was empty but I could see the replacements in the over head-overstock area. When I approached Matt he offered me a very friendly greeting, he listened to my needs and didnt hesitate to find a ladder and offer me help. Matt even asked me to kindly back-up so he could safely get the items for me. What may seem so simple yet such great service opportunities missed by many...Thanks again Matt
I like shopping at Lowes for the most part, good pricing, clean, customers service is usually pretty good.August this year I had an accident in this store (not their fault). Dog, employee, slippery shoes…boom broken wrist & ankle. Customers were awesome, especially an(off duty nurse, TY) but not a single mgr came to get info or basically check on my welfare. One employee sat off to the side and watched all that was happening.I’ve worked in retail for many years and believe me, we would NEVER have allowed a customer to leave without getting at least a name and contact, if for nothing else but to send well wishes. Very sad that the management team does not feel a bit of compassion for a patron of their company. We will continue to shop here but in and out, no more browsing (which usually ends with loads of add-ons). That alone makes me sad, because I really like DIY weekend projects and browsing inspires me.So, two stars on this review sorry.
I keep trying to give it another chance and I keep learning that theres no hope for that store every time I go in there theres nobody there to help you I tried to get some paint waited for 30 minutes ask the manager finally I gave up I think thats the last time Im going to Lowes
If you are looking for a new Appliance this is the place to go. When my refrigerator went kaput they were inexpensive slightly but the best part about Lowes was they were able to deliver immediately and they were professional and everything went perfectly. I highly and wholly recommend this place 100% if you need anything really thank you Lowes because you saved my behind!
Great selection, prices relative to competition, . My Sevice experience was terrible. Being disabled, I could find no help and even distain from the clerks for asking. No open registers except self ck out. All red lights btw. The checkout and customer service made the savings not worth the hassle.
When I was there to pick up a washing machine the checkout aisles were very busy. That said, the store employees were polite and speedy. What impressed me was the stock on hand. They had on hand what other stores were unable to get. Multiple boxes of faucets and kitchen fixtures and 11 of the washing machine I was there to buy. Great place for the handyman to shop!
Beware of buying from Lowe’s. Bought a product that is still under warranty. I have spent two days trying to straighten out service and.....the work order for the part needed was cancelled by this company. That’s right, they do not honor their contracts. Having said that, here is a copy of the response I just got(please note the lack of effort and problem resolution): thank you for the information youve provided. Lowes has a 30 day return policy on all major appliances. If you are not satisfied with the appliance for any reason you may return it to your local store. After the 30 days have passed, the manufacturer’s warranty covers the unit for the duration of the first year. During this period Lowes has to defer to the decisions made by the manufacturer regarding warranty repair issues. At this time the manufacturer would be your point of contact for assistance with this issue. If I can be of additional assistance please let me know. Before you spend your money with a vendor consider their ethics on honoring their contracts
On a Thurs afternoon I went to buy some 27 gallon containers which they didn’t have on the shelf so they had to fetch them from the back. This took like 30+ minutes in all. I’m on crutches and they brought the items to my car, which was super helpful. They are nice and helpful just slow in my experience.
Paid $35. for an estimate to get blinds measured over a week ago. Still no call to set up appointment. I called Cotati stores Home Décor several times. No answer. Oh, and they hang up on you after 10 min of ringing. I want my money back.Go to Lowes for good prices on plywood, wire, and certain appliances but shop local for services. Their flooring department was even more infuriating.
The ONLY reason Im giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because an employee that works the appliance counter was great (youngish female cant remember her name). The rest of the @!#* I tried to get help from were either indifferent to helping or outright rude.Whoever manages these zombies wont even open registers for us to GIVE our hard earned $ to them.Never going to give my $ to this company again!
OMGI am astounded this place is still in business! Went by for a plumbing fiting this morning as it was on the way to a job and not only was the section chaotic and disorganized, and they didnt have the one relatively common fitting needed (2x2x2 San t), a half dozen employees walked past me without a word. I asked one person for some help and she grudgingly went off to find someone never to return. Another person I asked eventually found someone in the nursery who could only tell me she couldnt find anything more than I could on the shelf and that although the computer said they had a bunch it was either wrong or was still in the warehouse. Wow.
My $1200 truckload order was supposed to be delivered yesterday 11a-3p ,while my contractor was on the clock so he could direct placement of items. An understandable truck breakdown delayed the shipment until today with an 11am to 3pm window and it is now 5pm and I wonder when they would have let me know that they werent showing up because they didnt have all the items in stock (they confirmed stocking to me on Thursday when I ordered and paid). I called DSI (delivery service) at 3:30 and that is when I was informed that my order had been delayed til Tuesday because of product shortage. I cant even be here Tuesday but they scheduled me without even checking with me! I am so glad that I only ordered 1/4 of the project materials this week. The next 3 weeks materials will definitely be ordered elsewhere. Lowes does not have this business down pat and should get out of it! They havent even answered the phone for the 2 solid hours that I have been trying to call them for a 3rd delivery attempt reschedule. Ugh!
Well sometimes getting there early helps getting a sales person to help you in the dept. Bob the older guy there in grills etc was really good and very knowledgeable. We bought a Char grill. Fridge sanding and GE washer and dryer..was not on sale except for w/d.. they will price match..but their credit card was only up to a 100.00 which they had bigger letters saying you get 20 percent off purchase..so that was not a good thing. But we had to get the appliances..otherwise prices are ok..not great until you can get a sale on certain holidays which we miss..but callingbthem took over 30 minutes on hold or more called back 3 x was later in week to ask questions..one person gave wrong info and another different. Their service us a bit better than Home depot
Was shopping for patio furniture. Had questions, needed help but could not find anyone in the department. After 15 minutes I asked at the service desk for help. They requested help for me. Waited another 15 minutes. No one! No problem @ Home Depot. In & out in 40 minutes. Have my furniture😀
I went to Lowes specifically to get flooring and paint samples. The paint counter was great. The flooring area was not. Almost all the flooring sample slots were empty. I had to just take pics, which the color wont be accurate. Will not be buying my flooring from them.
They had a tool on display that was nowhere to be found on the shelf. Then a rep told me they should have 2 in store but theft is so high they never know what they have (like thats my problem). Then she said shed ask a tool rep to see if they could find one but she never returned. I went to the customer service desk and they said they did NOT have any and couldnt even tell me when or IF theyd get any more. I mentioned it was on display and essentially shoulders shrugged and a hallow sorry. Then when I went and found a different equivalent tool with no help from anyone and gkt to checkout only self-checkout was open. And finally the theft buzzer went off as I left which I ignored without hesitation.Horrible customer service, overall experience, and they dont have stuff in store that that supposedly sell.
Lowes credit department phone representative placed me back to wait for another phone turntable with telling me thats what she was doing. After a long time nobody to my call. I phoned back and after maybe 20 minutes a representative answered my call. She was polite. But she failed to find my lawn mower purchase that I charged on my Lowes charge card. I had to go 30 miles round trip to bring my receipt to be able to have my mower repaired under warranty. The in store prime were polite. Their hands were tied without the invoice number and date of purchase. The purchase date was August 3020. Thats seven months ago. The store person said their computer in the store dates back only six months. After I brought the receipt things went very smooth. No thanks to the people on the phone.
Not one register open except self check out. If I wanted to order and pay through the machines doing it myself I would of ordered through Amazon. I believe too many jobs are lost this way. I will go to your competitors and only shop with you if I cant find it else where
I really like lowes, and have not had any issues with them until now. We ordered a new gas dryer on line, we were promised it would be delivered on Nov 21between 8am and 8pm which was 8 days of waiting. On Friday Nov 20 we get a e-mail saying that it would not be delivered until Nov 24 between 8am and 12. They did not try to contact us by phone to let us know of the change. I tried to call the store to talk to someone...no answer after I was transferred to the proper department, the phone just rang and rang and rang and then simply hung up. We tried several times.I went down to the store at 7:30 pm and found that the dryer was there in the store!!! They could not explain the hold up in the delivery. We were very disappointed in the whole situation. We will think twice before we buy a big ticket item from them again.Cori, Charlie, and Alex were very helpful with taking care of me in the store. Thank you to them.
Waited a half hour for someone to tell me that they were sold out of an close out screen door.at least 4 different employees called the person who was supposed to be in that department, they never did show up.almost a dozen other customers waiting as well. Not the first time having this problem at this store, which is too bad, I like the store otherwise.
Ordered a bunch of stuff online. Made sure everything in my order was Available for pickup. Get an email the next day saying one of the items is not available. I call. Im told that that item is not available, and wont be for several weeks, as well as a second item from my order. So I cancel those two items, because I cant pickup the rest of my order without canceling those items.I show up to pick up my order and as Im watching the employee load the items into my car, I realize that multiple additional items are not there. I ask the employee. She tells me they were cancelled because the store couldnt find them. No email or call, they were just going to skimp me multiple parts of my order.I go into the store ( which btw, is specifically what I was trying to avoid by ordering online for pickup) only to be told that sorry, they dont have these items and Im just SOL.So now Im having to go into a second store to find the items I originally ordered online....This was a horrible experience, from start to finish. Wasted hours of my time, and never actually got the items I needed.
Its just amazing how big this place is. The garden center, Wow! What dont they have. Every size, style and color in planters to fencing materials even outside tiles stepping stones for path ways and decorative. Metal plant hangers plant stands and wall planters for inside and outside. I havent even seen the rest of Lowes yet! So stay tuned. I cant wait, its huge here.😃😯
This store is a wreck. Junk everywhere, forklifts and stairs blocking whole product selections, displays clogging up the aisles, etc. A total mess. Used to be lumber carts lined up waiting for you, now they are scattered all over, full of go-backs that havent been put away. What a mess!
Sow service because they are short on staff. I had to wait quite a while to get help getting what I needed. I got lucky and got someone who was passing by to help me load my purchase into my car. Selection of products was better than Home Depots, but Lowes was not as organized and tightly as Home Depot. Both stores were equally as crowded.
We ordered an electric range to be delivered. On the day of delivery, the driver called to say it would be 20 min. We waited in the freezing cold at the drive way because its a rural area and drivers sometimes get lost. An hour and one half later we were still there! We called the driver (no answer) We called the dispatcher and after some time on hold was told in a most empathic tone voice that the driver tried to deliver the range but that no one was there. We WERE THERE! The driver lied to the dispatcher. He could not find the house most likely (no GPS in the area- (gosh theyd have to actually know how to read a map!) I am fed up with LOWES. They are not answering any of the extensions at the store (not appliance, not delivery not even ext. 0) Very poor P.R. Next time I will know better than to buy from them. (They took my money fast enough!)
I love Lowes Home Improvement! They always have what i am looking for and plenty of knowledgeable employees to help me with what ever I need. Plus they have an amazing discount for service members and veterans. They are always my first choice for anything i need for home or work!
Ive tried calling Lowes twice in the past two days, afternoon and evening to check on the availability of something. Both times a mechanical voice tells me Im being connected to an associate, and then the phones rings a long time before the same voice tells that they are working hard to answer my call and just hold on for the next associate. This continues and repeats for upwards of ten minutes before I hang up. No human EVER answers their phone. Something is seriously wrong with this store!
This Lowes is the worst. We were there the other week and there was no one walking around the plant department helping people. And now, I have a question about an order. The phone is ringing at Lowes and no joke, its been 16 minutes of the phone ringing and no one is picking up. Ill be going to Home Depot from now on.
NOT REALLY CONVENIENT.( Survey doesnt do half star, that would still be overly generous!😡)Dropped off my wife for an appointment and... ....🧐I understand busy times and all, but... Yesterday for curbside pickup I called in to notify them that I was ready. I was listening to a podcast and realized it had been 18 minutes!Calling in again, I was told my stuff had been removed from the cart and no note was left. Twelve minutes LATER, my simple and light order had been put back onto another cart. If my back were not strained I would have DIY gone in and searched it all out and been gone with comparative time to spare.
Our visit today went well! The sales associate named Gary helped us get a BBQ that was still in the box as opposed to pre-built so it fit in our Subaru. We were even able to come back about 30 minutes later and pick it up after we paid at will call. The customer service was amazing through out our visit!
Perfect Store for home projects.Super nice managers & super niceemployees .I was able to find what I need for my home Remodeling at very fair prices.Paint selection , appliances , Rugs, toolsThey got Huge selection.I will Recommend to every one to go and browse.Hopefully they will open one more branch in Santa Rosa.We Love Lowes. Thanks
Friendly, helpful staff. Garden center employees are exceptionally willing to go out of their way to help me locate things and answer questions every time I go in. The evening people are my favorites; very willing to let me wander around and do my own thing, but as soon as i think of a question, theres always someone within easy distance to help me.Like every other store, their supply of ceramic pots hasnt been great since April or so, but theyve got a bunch of terra cotta and plastic pots, and pretty much anything else youd need for an indoor or outdoor garden is in stock.
This store has become a filthy shambles. After shopping around, my hands are always dirty. The plumbing department is by far the worst, with items in the wrong places, many empty boxes, no bags to gather PVC fittings, and poor restocking. The staff are helpful when you can find one. The paint department is the best in the store, with good service. The checkout process is awful, with too few staff. Its crowded and chaotic. So nowadays I only visit for bulk items or special fittings that I need to measure. Otherwise its Amazon.
Its fine. I dont know what would give it 5stars so i did 4. I like Lowes they do have less manufacturers for tools BUT they have quality.I really like HD yet Lowes i like for different reasons. Lpwes seems less chaotic. Tje atmosphere is more calm layed back. Which in my opinion is a good thing. They have what u need,if they dont they will tell u where u can get it
I generally like Lowe’s, but this one has an employee with a superiority complex that gets under my skin. Not everyone going to Lowe’s is going to be an expert and I didn’t appreciate the customer service I got from this one older white lady. This isn’t the first interaction I’ve had with her, and I’ll be sure to get her name if I come back.
I used to buy lots of products at Lowes, but I am giving them only one star because they NEVER answer the phone. How can you offer curbside pickup and not answer the phone. Friedmans, Home Depot, and my local Ace Hardware ALL answer the phone. I spoke to a manager about this about a month ago and they blamed lack of staff because of Covid 19, but how do the other stores find people to answer the phones, but not Lowes.
Ive been meaning to write this review for a while. I needed to rent a carpet cleaner and Lowes carried the better brand that home Depot. I lived here two years and just went to home Depot because it was close and not a bad store. But walking into this Lowes really impressed me. Everywhere we went people asked us if we needed anything. The store layout seemed much more organized that home Depot and the garden center... This garden center we wonderful. Almost everything appeared so much healthier than the plants at home Depot also very organized and with higher quality shadding provided for the plants. We have been here several time since our initial visit a few weeks ago and each experience was as good as the last.
If there was a million dollar giveaway and all Lowes Cotati had to do was pick up the phone to win, the money would go unclaimed. Ive lost count of the times Ive never had anyone pick up the phone. When you show up in person its okay. Had a sales person tell me to email her if I needed to cancel an order as I told her nobody picks up the phone, and the email came back undelivered...either show up or dont even try calling.
Bad customer service. Employees avoid you and don’t want to help. Some of this stuff isn’t the most intuitive - and someone to speak with would be nice. Walk around for several minutes and people just want to push to off to someone else, whom eventually just presses the “someone help this guy in aisle “blank” because I don’t want to” - then they send you back there and nobody shows up to help.
I talked to three people to ask about a new faucet for my sink and they all acted like theyd rather jump off a building than help me. One of the worst customer service experiences Ive had in my life. The only nice person was a young woman at the self checkout station. No wonder Amazon is taking over the world.
Terrible service. Ordered an appliance for delivery- on delivery day it simply did not show up. Lowes did not notify me in any way. That was 2 weeks ago. I still cannot get through to them and have no update on the appliance or delivery. Dont worry, they ran my credit card right away though.
Find another store to buy appliances! WE Purchased a refrigerator on December 1, 2019 from the Cotati store, as of this date 2/6/2020 it still has not been delivered! We have scheduled delivery 5 times over this period. Every time the delivery has failed to arrive! Many times without any notification. Even on Super bowl Sunday. We were confirmed the night before, waited at home for 5 hours each time and they did not show! They werent even considerate enough to call and inform us! Phone calls were not answered at store, Customer service didnt return calls as promised, manager wouldnt return call as promised. Went to Lowes corporate for help. Three tries and pushing it to Regional manager finally got a phone call from store manager so we could cancel the order. NEVER AGAIN order from that store!
We are renovating our house and have purchased several major appliances from Lowes, as well as, bathroom items and other household items. We are very impressed with the level of service we have received. Thank you Jairo and the young lady who helped straighten out our purchases today you are great!!
Lowes seems to have some issues these days. I placed an online order and the website would give me zero information about it, leading me to think the order had failed. I went to the store after the estimated arrival time to ask about it, was told to come back in another week. Literally 4 hours later received email that the order was ready. I know these are challenging times, not theres something deeper here. Website doesnt functtion well, and when I went to pick the order up finally, the employee wrote my order number down, then hand copied a bunch of other numbers off a computer screen onto a pad of paper. It was like something from a long time ago, where everything was paper and pencil. Maybe wouldnt have thought much about it but their electronic world is obviously struggling right now.
I just went to the store to pick up an in-store pickup order I had placed. The worker at the front, named Venessa, was incredibly helpful and friendly. She took me over to a separate counter so I didn’t have to wait, and asked another worker (Kevin) for help with picking up my order from the back of the store. Kevin was also very helpful and persistent in getting my purchased item for me, even though it was difficult to find. These kind workers made my morning, and I will definitely be back soon.
Better than home depot. At least their employees try to help out, dont run from customers, sre easy to find in their specific specialty department. Ive always had a question answered and help with finding a product. And I just saved major money than what I would have spent ordering the exact same thing on Amazon.
Failed to provide customer service or satisfaction . could never get a hold of store by phone . managers didnt seem to care that my oven wasnt installed when delivered . They couldnt even process a complete refund when I returned the wall oven . Go to BEST BUY ; completely different experience
Online ordering is often wrong because items arent actually instock for pickup...To top off this blunder on two different orders Ive received an order confirmation that my order was ready to be picked up but each time I waited half an hour while they looked for it. Then they told me to leave and wait for my order to be filled but immediately after I left, I got a notification my order was cancelledI!!!Frustrating and a waste of my time; shopping, driving, waiting totals at least an hour and a half.
Don’t waste your time trying to call. Get in your car, drive over, wait 2 hours for someone to acknowledge your existence, get told the employee doesn’t work in that department, walk around for another 30 minutes to find a competent employee, get told misleading information, go full Karen, make the employee cry, become internet famous, change your name to avoid public humiliation. Save yourself the aggravation and just go to Home Depot.
This is a pretty good chain store overall. Quality is always a little better than Home Depot and maybe a tad lower quality than Friedmans.Large selection and carry most items for home, garden, building, lighting, plumbing, electrical, paint and remodel.Lots of yard construction materials and live plants, Flowers, shrubs and trees. Also potting soil, compost, mulch, fertilizers, plant foods and pesticides.Lumber yard is adequate for most home projects, doors, windows, and lots of trim and cabinetry.A fair selection of power tools with competitive prices and some quality brands to choose from.Huge parking lot, public restrooms, customer help desk, self check out available.Ive had some trouble with untrained staff a few times here, but most of the visits the staff is good.
Poor customer service. I have had trouble getting the basics (like boxes for garden plants, or bags for screws and nails) that are standard at all other hardware stores. Additionally, staff here have been rude and uncaring when I have been here. If you ask staff for help, they seem annoyed. It was also very hard to find help out in the aisles. The garden center customer service is the worst, and is what made me write this review. My one customer service desk interaction was positive, but thats about it. I have had three negative trips to this location; Three strikes and Lowes is out!
Disappointed!: I ordered a gas range and it was delivered to the local store damaged. Thanks for catching that! The replacement took another 3 weeks. It was just delivered and the installer held a broken gas valve in his hand asking me what to do. After reminding him that he was the installer and perhaps hed like to call his manager, he said hed buy a replacement and be back in several hours. I wanted to discuss this issue with the store manager, and after 7 calls of no manager coming to the phone, I gave up. This will be the last time I consider Lowes for any purchases. There prices are low, and so is the service. Maybe thats why they are called Lowes.
Every time Ive needed something Lowes has come through. I love how they put all their carts inside, it makes it so easy. I can confirm they have a product I need and grab the cart right there if they have it. People working there are really nice and usually very helpful. Store is usually clean and product is usually on shelf in its right spot.
Would not recommend. I purchased a washer and dryer here, decided to return and get another brand. Processing the return has been a complete nightmare. I have spent no less than an hour attempting to get the full refund, I have had to call back 5+ times to follow up and track people down to research why my full refund hadnt been issued. Also- it takes at least 3 minutes for them to answer their phone which is extremely frustrating! I will never purchase anything from lowes again for this reason.
BUYER BEWARE!!! Never purchase online with delivery. I received the incorrect lumber as well as missing items. Tripple check each barcode and description and dont trust the driver. They will say anything to get back on the road. I have made over 10 calls and over 2 hours to customer service, the store, even the delivery company. They just transfer me and the line gets disconnected. The only option I have left is to call my Credit Card company and take my business somewhere else. As much as I do appreciate that the essential stores are serving during these difficult times, save additional stress and anxiety and shop somewhere else.
Absolutely horrible customer service! Went in to buy a space heater, which was listed as having 21 in-store. We look around for the heater, and it was not in the stated location. We go to the customer service desk, which confirms that there are actually ~24 on-hand, so they said it should be easy to find. They page Bob to go to the department to help us find it.Bob never showed up, despite being paged multiple times. We searched far and wide for this mystical space heater, as well as our guide to the treasure, but came away empty handed.Tried talking to multiple other staff members, who basically gave us dismissive remarks, save for one service employee who was slightly helpful, but was not able to find it either. We left the store 30 minutes later, empty handed and with a bad taste in our mouths. We are not going to be going back anytime soon.
Worst customer service. As someone else wrote, if you can get assistance, you must be special because they never answer the phone and if they do you get transferred to a department that doesnt answer the phone. Their staff lack every skill to be successful at providing a good experience. Ill never shop with this Lowes again.
I find myself going to Lowes often to look for things that unfortunately I have better luck finding elsewhere. The store is well lit, well staffed, easy to navigate, etc... but they dont have the same little pieces or parts that Im more likely to find at an Ace Hardware or True Value. That being said, Lowes Rohnert Park is great for the bigger or more obvious stuff: appliances, plants, paint, tools, cabinetry, plumbing, etc... All in all not a bad place to go and we definitely prefer Lowes over others when it comes to big box stores.
Worst experience ever with this store🤨very poor customer service! We were in the appliance department in search of a washer and dryer and not ONE person came up to ask if they could help us!!! Very, very poor customer service never will shop at this store nor will I recommend it to any of my family or friends!!!
I rarely go to Lowes as I live closer to other hardware stores. I just purchased a beautiful security screen door from them. The reviews on their website were very helpful. The main problem with this door seemed to be the installation, so I figured Id let Lowes install it and take it back if it didnt work. For one pre-set price, the installers spent several hours getting it just right. In addition, Lowes called me the next day to make sure I was happy and their corporate office called me a few days later and informed me that there was a one-year warranty on the installation. Doesnt get any better than that.
Is Lowes even open. Im online right now looking at appliances. I gave them a call and got the recorded directory for their specific departments. Well so I press 4 appliances rings a few times and rings and rings rings and than the tone of the ring changed.. How hard is it to pick up the phone and help a customer. I really tried to give them benefit of the doubt.Lowes you have poor customer service that is how it was when I came in person the very first time. No one around to ask question or assist . Im just going to stick with Home Depot.
We came in to buy a washer. We found what we were looking for but could not get anyone to help us. We waited for 35 minutes for an employee to help us after numerous requests for assistance. There was a couple waiting almost as long as we had waited for service. When an employee finally came to help us I asked him to help the other couple first as the husband had difficulty standing and walking. During the time we waited, numerous employees walked by us making sure not to make eye contact in case we asked for help. . Weve been for an hour now and still are not checked out. Its probably better to get whatever you need online. Im kind of sad about this experience because Ive been to Lowes in Fresno, CA on many occasions when I lived there and never had this problem.
The worst run home improvement store I have ever been in. Went 4 years ago and tried to buy a washer/dryer and left in frustration to purchase them at a different store. Went back for the first time since and the store is the same, just awful customer service and store is incredibly disorganized. No employee seems interested in doing anything or helping you in any way. Not every Lowes is this way but I suggest you dont go to this one.
I have worked for Lowes in Cotati for almost 3 years altogether, mostly in the electrical department but also on the front end and I can tell you with complete honesty it is one of the best jobs I have ever had. The page is average or maybe even a little below average and it seems now got any future wage increasement approved by Corporate. the hours vary but the people working there are all for the most part pretty awesome and that does include the store manager Dave.
Prices in general are reasonable, but in some categories their prices are noticeably higher than those at Home Depot. Otherwise, this place is better managed than the local Home Depot, and service is friendly when you can find someone to help in the department youre in.To keep track of your purchases at self-service checkout, you MUST use a plastic My Lowes card, unlike at Home Depot where you merely click on the Pro Rewards button and enter your phone number. Lowes should do the same and eliminate the inconvenience of regular customers having to carry and dig out their card every time. My wallet already has too many cards.
Without doubt the worst Lowes experience I have ever had I have no problem finding the item I was looking for but when it came to check out it was a complete and utter disaster of a magnitude which I can hardly fit into words in this review. Stafe were obviously not happy and were not working together collectively there were insufficient staff the self-checkout system was not working. You name it it went wrong trying to get out of that store. Do not shop here if you value your time and your sanity.
They didn t get our dishwasher delivered! Trying to get a hold of someone was not a pleasant experience! when you finally do, they don t know much! Very disappointed in service!! oh yes, we went & picked it up from the store, but do you think someone could bring it out the door to your truck & help you load it?? cust. serv. doesnt bother to tell you that, so here we wait it the pick-up area, thinking that they will be wheeling it out to you any moment, but no you have to go back in to see....where s my dishwasher🤔. We ll think twice about ordering from them again. A day wasted!
Special ordered tiles, no one checked if they arrived in one piece. most were broken. staff extremely rude about returns. and most of the staff was standing around talking and would not help the nice older lady that helped me out grab the tiles from the back. she had a broken foot and all the younger employees with no casts on were too busy being social to help when asked. then i was only refund for part of the broken tiles. i wasted time and $. very poor experience.
I have spent alot of money there with the many remodels we have done . They would not take back my return that was boxed and never opened since it was over a year. Granted it was overlooked at our home but they could have made an exception as we are very good customers but now they lost us over 100.00.
(Yes, other reviews about their phone handling are correct- they are awful). They have been very helpful with my wife designing and ordering $17,000 worth of cabinets, but the installing guy that came out to check the measurements didnt communicate, so we were delayed 10 days. Ive been in twice in 2 days. The first time there were no manned cashiers, the self checkout wouldnt read my item, the helper was way backed up, I waited at least 10 minutes. (Finally an employee that wasnt even on duty yet saw the problem and opened up a register to help me (Tom, on 11/10, 10:00 am- great help and apologized for the delay). Today I couldnt get any help in the paint department, and yet 2 different employees said theyd get someone for. Never received any help, and one of them even commiserated with me, yet didnt take the initiative to get me help. This lack of support is why I moved from Home Depot, but Im beginning to wonder. I like the people in Lowes, but they need to address these concerns - its simple to always have a person at the cashier and for an employee taking ownership for getting me help. (They have always had knowledgeable people.) A year ago I would have rated them a 5, but they are slipping.
This is one of the best phone experiences I have ever had while ordering a product. Some how my online order was cancelled, so my order never arrived. I called and spoke to two different gentlemen; one from the main office and one from Cotati. Both were wonderful at fixing the mistake. Mistakes happen what matters is that the mistake gets fixed. Lowes certainly pulled through. When they say they value loyalty, they mean it. Thank you so much Lowes! We will continue the 2 hour drive to use you over our other options!
Phone service at this store SUCKS!!! I recently ordered a new appliance. When appliance was delivered to the local store in Cotati, I received a message asking me to make a delivery appointment. I called the store and got forwarded to the delivery department in which the phone rang for 15 minutes and NO ONE ANSWERED! I then called the Operator at Lowes, the phone rang for another 15 minutes and NO ONE ANSWERED!!! Both calls occurred between 3:00 and 3:30p, essentially prime business hours :(. Im so infuriated, I am heading back to the store to cancel our order and I will take my business to some company that wants my business and is able to serve me.
Stopped by to purchase $600 worth of Italian cypress trees, they would not let me pay and pick up in two days its against their policy to hold plants I was told by the unfriendly garden associate. The overall customer service at this particular store I have received on several occasions has caused me to reconsider my Lowes loyalty because Home Depot in this town has much better customer service and products. Too bad, I used to love Lowes.
Lowes is farther than Freidmans or Home Depot for me. But they got my buisness this time because, 1. They had the item(s) I wanted in stock. 2. Thier website worked well enough to easily find what I was looking for & that it was in indeed in stock at this store location.2. They were open later than both other stores. (HD s website said they sold the items but no store within 100 miles had any in stock. Thats lame. FBs website couldnt tell me diddly squat & had closed at 7pm )So Lowes it was. The lady cashier in lumber was friendly, knew what I wanted was, and where to point me to find it. There were plenty of lumber carts available. So out the door I went at 9:50 pm with my stair stringers, pressure treated lumber, & box of screws. What more can a person want from a hardware store? One star off for not having another store in Santa Rosa proper.
We bought a new washer from here and not only was it not new (It had THREE huge scratches and was missing a part) but when we called we were hung up on three times! Dont buy anything here unless you know for a fact its new and dont need to call them. I wish I could give them less then one star!
At Lowes Cotati, Customer Service is an endangered species. On 5/7/18 we drove two hours to this store, as it was the nearest store of any chain that advertised a particular dishwasher we were interested in. It took (literally) 40 minutes, three requests for help from sales staff who wandered by, and three trips to the customer service counter to get someone to wait on us in the appliance section. That person knew nothing about the dishwashers other than which brand they sold the most of. The d/w we were interested in was in stock, but there was no floor model to look at. So, dont blame online sites like Amazon for the demise of local and chain retail stores. They provide convenience and service that have become a lost art for too many brick-and-mortar retailers.
This place has just about everything you need for do it yourself home projects and a nice selection of garden tools and plants as well. However if youre a young person looking for some assistance, you wont find it here. On the occasions that I am not accompanied by an older person, I am generally ignored and my requests for assistance are met with reluctance. My parents receive significantly more attention and assistance.
Lowes has the balanced plan and merchandise content to satisfy the purchasing needs of domestic engineers, building trades professionals, do it yourselvers and small project weekenders alike. One can find something interesting in most departments that other home improvement stores dont carry. That plus the stores staff is always very helpful. This home improvement center in Cotati, California is always clean, orderly and the merchandise is laid out so its easy to find.
Stick With Home DepotI called about material required for repairing my foundation. The first person I spoke to transferred me to an expert.A girl answered, when I told her I needed to talk to someone specifically about foundation repair I was put on hold, I could hear someone typing in the background, then the elevator music started. This went on for a few minutes until I was disconnected.I called back and spoke to a woman named Kelly, she didnt understand what a foundation was. She told me that someone would have to come out, for a fee of $35 and take a look at it.Im doing this myself, all I wanted to know was how much the material will cost. I informed her that they wouldnt find that out by looking under my house. The answer would be in their inventory fee list list, not under my house. As I type this I am on hold again, with elevator music. How hard can it be to give a price on material?I just spoke to a manager, he said he was trying to find someone with the answer but they were all busy helping other customers, 30 minutes on the phone and no information.Im sticking with Home Depot, theyre the best.
I absolutely hate this store, extremely rude employees! Not a single employee here at Lowe’s never wants to help. And when they do it’s wrong. Wrong location, wrong product knowledge. And I’m not sure if the Store manager Dave works here or not, but he really should retire! Worst store manger ever. These employees could care less if you need help or threaten to go to Home Depot. Thanks for wasting space Cotati Lowe’s!
Not the best customer service. There were a lot of people working but no one checking in to see if you needed help. We looked at large kitchen appliances and bathroom showers, and no one helped. Everything was super dirty. Someone needs to run a duster every once in a while.
Like most Lowe’s, this place is terrible. The employees don’t know where anything is nor do they seem to be held accountable when they give you the wrong information (where would you even input a feedback loop).Look this whole store system is outdated. You could run a Lowe’s with 10 people and geolocated products. Most people aren’t shopping there, there isn’t any real merchandising, it’s just a giant warehouse where no one knows where anything is.
Went in to Lowes to buy a new kitchen faucet. I was unable to find anyone to help me, I waited and waited and waited. Finally a contractor who was also waiting helped me. Next time Ill go to Sebastopol Hardward and pay more to received the excellent customer service when spending 300.00 on a faucet. Cheaper is not always better.
It was the worst. There was no one who could realy help¹me with ordering artificial turf and when I did finally get to the 1 person in the whole store who could help me he let me know my special order item only came in a 15 ft by 1 ft roll. Who only gets turf in a 15×1 ft roll???? I needed to cover a 44× 20 ft area. Home depot here I come.
I went to Lowes to get 1000ft of pipe and a few other things. As soon as I went in the store I asked at the front desk if someone would be able to bring the pipe out the my truck. They told me that they no longer have any pro service and that they are no longer working there. YET, as I was walking through the store with not one, but TWO CARTS, every single employee just stared at me. No one offered to help. And when I got to the regester, the supposed ex-employees were all at the regesters helping people!!!! Annoyed, i pay for my things and wait a minute to see if I could get some help with the 1000ft of pipe but nope!!! Nothing. I have never had poor treatment at this store but this made me think twice about this store.
It sucked! I needed 1 piece of Hardy backer for a 3 x 5 tile entry. I waited 17 minutes for some one who never came to help me. The Hardy board was 8 feet in the air on top of two units. I was told it was in the sheetrock isle , then told it was in the tile section both were goose chases. The clerk said I just had to wait. So I waited and waited. The Hardy board was stacked on top of two units so I had to get on a flat cart then step to a Bullard and then to stack. I balanced one down, finally!! So I went back to get the tile , I loaded on cart then asked the guy in the tile center if he could cut 2 pieces in half for me. He said the tile saw didnt work. He said it so fast I felt like I was lied to. I didnt leave, I talked with another worker and she said she would find out. The saw had a lock in it and he says see its locked. I said ya its locked, but not locked out. Show me it doesnt work! He got another worker to unlock it, he flipped the knife switch and all came to life!! He cut the two pieces and handed them to me. He said that was the first time he saw the saw work. Total B.S., !! I am not going back anytime soon!!!
I had a really bad experience at Lowe’s I ask them is they could load up some material but they didn’t want to the gave me an excuse I don’t know if it’s because I’m Mexico and I felt discrimination and this name was Barry. I’ve load up stuff through a forklift door we’re they can get through put he told me he won’t fit
I am documenting this story as a warning to other consumers as the Lowe’s in Cotati has effectively stolen approximately $800 from my partner and I by not honoring our in-store credit card. Here is our story; in 2017 I purchased flooring from Lowe’s department store in Cotati with cash. My partner and I installed the flooring and after the job was complete, we returned about $1,000 in unused flooring materials. We were told that we were not eligible for a refund but were provided a card for in store credit. At the time we were told we would need to present a driver’s license to utilize the card as they were connected. After evacuating from the Nuns Canyon Fire in 2017 we decided to move out of our home in the Sonoma Valley and relocated to the Russian River where the redwood trees and flowing water seemed to provide more shelter from raging wildfires. We moved into our new place in April of 2018 and bought some paint with the in-store credit card, about $200 worth, to paint the interior of the house.Shortly thereafter my partners wallet was stolen. We contacted the police department and filed a report. The in-store credit card from Lowe’s was in the stolen wallet. At the time we were not concerned about the card being used by the thief as we were told it was only valid with ID. When we contacted Lowe’s in Cotati we were told that there was no way to use the in store credit card if the card was missing. When we asked about the connection between the driver’s license and the card, we were told that only at the time of purchase would the driver’s license be needed for validation. That there was no way to connect the license to the card or verify our in-store credit.Having a hard time digesting the fact that $800 of in store credit was just gone, we contacted the customer service corporate office. Initially we were told that someone would be in touch after they had investigated the incident further. We were told this on three separate occasions, alas no one called us back and upon contacting management in Cotati were told our case had been closed, to our dismay. After going back in forth via phone for a few months we decided to carve out some time on the weekend and head down to the store to see if we could speak to someone in person and get to the bottom of the issue.A representative told us that they could track down the card details through the purchase of the paint supplies. So, we dug through our basement to find the old paints cans from Lowe’s. We returned to the Cotati store the next weekend and spent the day talking with different managers trying to troubleshoot ways to verify our in-store credit card making no headway. That day a corporate representative told us that if we could just find the date of the paint purchase, they would be able to find the card. We presented the paint cans, with the purchase date shortly thereafter and were told that the Cotati store only had wiped their data in June and therefore there was no way to verify the in-store credit.A customer service representative from the national corporate office said this was unusual, if it were any other store, they would have been able to find the transaction details. Cotati is unique in that they wipe their data from time to time. So here we are about one year later and more than 6 months of trying to get to get back our $800 from Lowe’s. No one ever mentioned they wipe their data or seemed to care enough to call us back or notify us that our case had been closed.Lowe’s in Cotati has effectively stolen $800 from my partner and I, offered no apology or attempt to rectify the matter. I am appalled with the Lowe’s Cotati incompetence and corporate policies that do not reflect the marketing values they claim. We are in the middle of remodeling our home and had planned to source all of our materials at Lowe’s, much more than $800 worth of materials. I will never again shop at Lowe’s. DO NOT PURCHASE AN IN STORE CREDIT CARD OR GIFT CARD AS THE POLICIES ARE NOT SETUP TO HONOR THE PURCHASE IN THE EVENT THE CARD IS LOST.
Impossible to get anyone on the phone. Tried calling 7+ times at various times of day, weekdays and weekends, in hopes of finishing an appliances order, and no one ever answered the phone - despite trying multiple departments. We will take our $2,000 order elsewhere.
Bought a propane griddle today that was missing parts when we got home with it. Went back to Lowes, they would not give us the missing parts, nor did they have another griddle in stock, said our only option was to return the item, very poor customer service!! Going to Home Depot next time??
I needed laminate and vinyl flooring for a new rental house. Rudy Hernandez in the flooring department couldnt have been more helpful. He helped me pick out a different material than I had originally wanted helping me to save money by buying a better product. He was patient with someone who wasnt always sure what she wanted. You dont find many responsive and considerate people like him in the retail industry. Id ask for him when shopping for flooring materials at Lowes.
Do not go here. They WILL sell you broken products.Purchased a fridge online for in store pick up. The package they handed over looked fine but upon opening it was clear that they had dropped the fridge (severely denting it) and then just wrapped it up again. There is obviously no quality control and/or the management sucks. Wasted my whole Sunday and just got a uhh.. sorry... from customer service.Learn from my mistake. Dont go here.
Tried to go in and get a replacement fan fit for the bath exhaust. I had the part number, model, brand etc.. I understand they dont necessarily have the sam brand but I think its fairly well known that you can make certain brands kits replace others. Any decent salesman would know this but instead the guy was unnecessarily rude and condescending making comments like that tells me nothing and what am I supposed to do with that information? . I know they probably had what I needed but I got tired of the guys attitude and just walked out, went over to Home Depot. Although the place was a zoo they were much friendlier and we figured out a like replacement. That guy knew what he was talking about and didnt need to give all the attitude...
I purchased my carpets through Lowes and I received a great price, no complaints. However, Lowes had a company called A & S Flooring out of Benecia install the carpets. I have been calling and complaining about the carpet seams for over a year, NOTHING RESOLVED. I have been more then patient but they just keep pacifying me and Im tired of this stores lack of attention. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, EVER. I even have a very large remnant of the original carpet and they still will not come fix this issue. Everyone from the install to the manufacturing will not own up to fault and nor will the store manager do anything about this. I am truly sad because i like most of the staff there and you can find good deals on products. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND having carpets installed by A & S Flooring, worst ever.
Our range was supposed to be delivered today between 12 noon and 4 PM. We were very much looking forward to having the new range, as the old one is broken, and we are expecting company for dinner this Saturday. We had made arrangements with our family, which is not easy, for someone to be home for the delivery. At around 2:45 PM we received a call telling us that one of the drivers was expecting his baby today and Lowe’s would not be able to deliver our range as promised. We were also told they were not sure when they would be able to get our range to our home.I fault Rohnert Park/Cotati Lowe’s for this, not the expectant father. Scheduling him to work on a day when he is expecting his child is lacking in foresight and cruel. He should have been given PTO/Paternity leave for this period of time. This situation is disrespectful to customers and Lowe’s workers.

2022-01-14Mellow store to shop at for home goods and appliances. I went here to get a sliding barn door, which had one of the best prices we could find. Large variety of goods in a massive building. Their nursery has healthy nice plants. Parking is wide open and easy out front. Their return policy is great. A little more staff would be helpful. But this is my first time going here, and it could be because of Covid for the limited staff. All in all nice place to get some good deals for home.

2022-01-01I had to return a pre-lot Christmas Tree because one of the strands was out (had the tree for a week when this happened). The “customer service” lady, Leslie, said there were no returns of Christmas items after December 26th. I questioned the policy, stating I was not notified of this. She stated “there were signs everywhere.” I asked what I was supposed to do with a tree that was defective, she told me to return it to the manufacturer, Trim-A-Tree - “they’re a multi-million dollar company, they can afford it.” I walked away and I heard her say to the next person (who was behind me) “it’s not my fault, I just work here.” I went back and told her I didn’t blame her, but I question such a restrictive return policy that doesn’t include notifying customers in a clear manner. She stated “there was a sign.” (First she said there were “signs everywhere” and now she says “there was ‘a’ sign). I took the tree back to the return area and told her to keep it because the amount I’d pay to ship it back as a return would be more than I paid in the first place. I walked away, and then decided to go back in to look at her name tag so I could follow-up later. The customer she was already talking about me with said to her (gesturing toward me with a glance) “a nightmare.” Needless to say, this became more and more upsetting. At this point it wasn’t about the return (I’m not an unreasonable person, a policy is a policy), but the treatment I received and the total lack of professionalism, tact, and empathy. I’ll never return to this Lowe’s again. I hope that karma teaches Leslie a lesson in human-kindness.

2022-06-24We utilized the online order to safe time and avoid spending time in store. The order was placed at 9 am and we received notification that the order is ready for pickup at 11:43 am. When our driver arrived at the store around 2:30 pm the order was not yet ready and still needed to get pulled. 2 hours later our driver was finally able to receive the order and leave the store. What is the point of placing an order online to safe time if the store is incapable to provide the service they offer? It would have been easier to go there and just go inside to get what we needed ourselves! This store is the worst i experienced since being a contractor! When called to check in while the driver was still there i never was able to actually speak to an associate and my call was on hold for the next available associate for 15 min and then the call was disconnected!Never ever again!

2022-03-02Great personal service unlike the other big box guys. Today Kevin dropped what he was doing when i asked where to find outdoor lighting. He made me feel like I was his #1 priority. His suggestions were helpful and I left with just what I wanted. Thanks Kevin!

2022-05-30Absolutely horrible customer service. Have tried to reach the appliance department by phone over 20 times and only twice did someone pick up the phone. One of the times they picked up, they said they would have to call me back after assisting a customer. Never called back. When I finally got someone on the phone, he didn’t have the answers.I have requested assistance from online customer support and was told that a manager would reach out to me to assist. Never heard from anyone. Will not shop here again. Ever.

2022-02-05I purchased by app some hardware and lumber. I requested pickup at the store front as opposed to carrying 12 ft lumber thru the store. I visited the store 12 hours later but nothing had been taken to the service counter. Then I couldnt find the shelved lumber because it was very poorly labeled. All is well that ends well but this took way over an hour to complete what should have been minutes. By the way the evening staff (Christy) was wonderful help.

2022-01-31About what youd expect from a Lowes. Unfortunately, they dont always have what I am looking for, but its great for general DIY tools and paraphernalia. Like every other business there are shortages and price increases, but the staff are still friendly if a little hard to corral.

2022-07-01We had a terrible purchase experience with this store. The washing machine we purchased was not delivered as agreed and no one from the store contacted us about the missed delivery. I submitted a case to the main Lowes Customer Service and store management was supposed to contact me. They never did, so I had the delivery rescheduled through the Lowes Customer Service. Then on the new delivery day I was notified the washing machine was no longer in stock and delivery would be delayed again. The customer service experience was unacceptable. Take your business to any other store except this one.

2022-05-23Pretty good was never used in in a marketing campaign, but thats Lowes, Cotati in a nutshell. Most recent visit: We got almost everything on our list, which was surprising, as there was some weirdly specific stuff. Lots of little fasteners too.Floor assistants were really helpful (and actually on the floor!) in almost all departments. Only one pretended to no hear/see us, obvious expat of the Orange big box competitor. The one big drawback is the cashier who worked gardening registers, Am*r, who could have won a rudeness competition with his mouth duct-taped. Before the customer in front of me had even moved out of the way, he grabbed my cart (my hand on it) and yanked it out of my control. No warning, no greeting. Began ringing me up (previous customer still not gone) and just tossing/throwing items from the front of the cart to the back.I wanted to see what was being rung up, so I swiveled the card reader toward me to see if it was shown. With my hand still on the reader, he stopped throwing my stuff and physically swiveled it away from me and said, You cant use that now. First thing out of his mouth thus far. I said I wanted to see the item list and he ignored me.When payment time came around, he simply went to the next customers cart and repeated the process - ringing them up while I was paying. He asked me if I wanted a receipt after Id been standing there watching him ring up someone else for about a minute. You bet I want a receipt - I have no idea how he rang up my cart, and my $400+ receipt was full of multiples. As I was leaving literally on my way to the door, he asked me if I wanted a bag. The alarm went off and he told me to just keep going.Breathtakingly rude customer service. Maybe Am*r ought be promoted to something that doesnt involve peopling. Too bad he is the last point of contact after a pretty good experience otherwise. Really soured everyone elses efforts.

2022-06-27Like other big hardware stores, some employees are more knowledgeable than others. If you want to make special orders or get extra help with products, dont get there 20 minutes before closing.
