Thanks to my NextDoor neighbors for recommended Lantern Garden, Ive finally discovered some clean and good Chinese cuisine! The egg rolls were served with a delicious sauce! (which my family adored)! The different chow mein noodles we ordered were delicious. Id say the difference here is in the quality of the ingredients, as well as the attention taken when cooking, clearly talented chefs here! If you have the chance, I recommend checking out this restaurant!
Visiting family from Virginia, I’ve been craving the house fried rice ever since my sister ordered late night DoorDash. The fried rice reheats well and tastes amazing. The orange chicken wasn’t my cup of tea. For the average American they probably don’t think it’s too sweet. But I’m kind of weird and I forgot to tell my sister to change the order to light sauce or sauce on the side.
Ive been eating here for the past year for late-night chinese. I just purchased the sesame chicken and my daughter got house special fried rice, and everything was perfect. I dont usually write reviews, but they certainly deserve it, plus it was delivered in 15 minutes on a Friday night!!!!!
Excellent meal and service! I live in Anaheim and was driving down Lincoln Avenue on my way home. I chose this restaurant on a whim for dinner and was not disappointed! I ordered takeout and the meal was fresh and hot, plus the woman behind the counter was one of the happiest women Ive ever met:) I will certainly return!
Lantern Garden is dependably quick, tasty and reasonably priced. Weve never been let down. Theyve quickly become a household favorite. Their delivery time is also amazing!
Definitely my go-to place for a decent deal on chinese food! I would recommend it to anybody seeking for a great quality food for less price. Also its so so busy here during dinner rush, I would place a pick-up order instead of just arriving otherwise you have to wait around.
I highly recommend eating here since the meal was delicious and the service was excellent. The flavor was quite surprisingly good! And they serve a large portion at a low price! Pay them a visit if you get the opportunity, the mother and daughter running the place are very kind.
This restaurant has been visited by me and my wife for maybe 2 years now. It is always a nice location to eat, we always go after picking up medication from CVS in the same plaza. The orange chicken with house special fried rice is usually delicious and reasonably priced.
When we dont feel like cooking, I often order from here. Its close to my house and I can just walk, and the food is consistently delicious. Theyre also quick, which is really appreciated. Highly recommend the teriyaki chicken, orange chicken and honey shrimp.

Open late night and food comes out hot and fresh. Steam tables close at 9 PM but the cooked to order menu is where this place shines!! Orange chicken + Honey Shrimp = FOOD HEAVEN.
Its a comfortable restaurant to visit, feels clean and homey, and the food and drinks was tasty. Its a mash-up of American Chinese classics with authentic fresh tea drinks. The staff was kind and helpful in helping us choose what to get.
Tonight was my first visit to this restaurant, and I left extremely full and happy. The meal was amazing, and the service was excellent. The chicken chow mein and honey shrimp was delicious.
Ive been coming here for almost 1 year. Lunch combos are the greatest value for money, with large servings and affordable rates. Food is always prepared fresh when I come in at lunch. Ill keep coming back for more!
As someone visiting from out of town, after eating inside Disneyland all day, you really want to try some local favorites. Craving asian food and Lantern Garden came up as a local search favorite for Chinese food so we decided to give it a shot. Had a really tasty dinner, we ordered through the google order button and doordash delivered the food to our hotel room. We got a few honey milk tea and mango fruit tea bobas and the boba pearls were REALLY good and fresh, on par with many big name boba places. Food itself was hot still after delivery and sesame chicken with shrimp fried rice really hit the spot. We give a solid 5/5 stars.

When my family and I are in the mood for Chinese food, we go to Lantern Garden. The staff knows our names and always provides us with quality service. When you cant decide between sushi and Chinese food, here is the place to go. They also provide delivery service through Doordash, which we are now using.
We moved right out of anaheim due to rent rise at our old apartment but still take the extra 5 minutes to drive for takeout here since we havent found a better Chinese restaurant nearby our new apartment! Our favorites include white meat orange chicken, mongolian beef, broccoli beef, shrimp and vegetables, shrimp fried rice, and bbq pork chow mein.
Super hot outside today after my family and I went grocery shopping at Vons nearby. Saw this restaurant selling boba and it looked good. The fruit teas and boba tea drinks are ice cold and great for the summer heat. We had milk tea boba with thai tea boba and rose milk tea boba. Very unique flavor on the rose milk tea, my cousin and brother would want that next time too. :)
This is my preferred option for chinese food. Staff here is quick, pleasant, provide tasty food at reasonable pricing, and always have a smile on their face and welcome you when my family comes pick up our order.

Everything was GROSS. I normally dont throw businesses under the bus and usually refrain from doing bad reviews even if the service was bad. unacceptable. All the meat..the chicken, the beef, and the pork were all disgusting. Instead of any of it being actual meat it was all fat. ALL OF IT.DISGUSTING
In my opinion, this is anaheims best chinese food. The food is consistently delicious. The dish I would suggest is the soy garlic wings from their ubereats menu.

This was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had in my life. Portion sizes were good. The quality was off the charts. I wasn’t expecting the food to be that good but it was. The orange chicken was classically delicious. The white rice cooked to perfection. The House Chow Mein was AMAZING. A little lacking on the shrimp but lots of chicken and beef. You won’t regret eating here. & they follow directions well.
Haven’t had a lot of luck with Chinese food in this area for the past year …but lantern garden was excellent!! Ordered through Uber eats New Year’s Eve and food was hot , flavorful, reasonably priced and looked delicious!! Orange chicken ,combo fried rice and combo chow mein… will definitely order here again 😊

I live and work nearby in the resort area of Anaheim and always make the time to drive to this specific restaurant whenever I want Chinese food. Its run by what looks to be a husband & wife team and they put a lot of love into their business and their food and it clearly shows. The quality of their food is always really high standard especially for Chinese food and the ingredients used are always fresh and tasty, you definitely get your bang for buck here!! I usually only get their cooked to order menu rather than their steam tables but every time I do, they never disappoint me, its well worth the wait for a flavorful piping hot and fresh meal! I also really like ordering their passionfruit boba green tea at half sweetness level, its the perfect balance of not too sweet but sweet enough.

Phone in, pick up up order 6/7/21. Beef broccoli, white meat orange chicken and mixed vegetables. Stayed at Disney Resort 10 min away. Partial order ready when I arrived. Waiting on orange chicken. After 10 min Im told cook forgot to cook it, yet my other items are sitting on the counter. Now waiting another 10 min. Really! I asked him to please make sure my entire order is hot. This guy lied and said he gave me new hot food. What he did was microwaved it. Veges and beef and broccoli completely overcooked. Orange chicken was good and fresh at least. I wont recommend bc of the shadiness. You dont make the customer take the hit figure it out business owners. The entire meal should be hot at the same time not and not microwaved in the back after you messed up.
I made an order online to have it delivered. I received confirmation about the order never received it. I looked at my bank account and they had refunded my money back which was the only good thing. But never received any notification about my food order being canceled. so I waisted 45 minutes. Dont order here save yourself some time and headaches.
I know another reviewer for this restaurant had a bit of a rough time, but this place is super chill and I didn’t feel like my life was being threatened at all. I had the beef fried rice, some egg rolls, orange chicken with rice, and bbq chow mein. Everything tastes fantastic; they definitely do not skimp out on the meat in any of these dishes which is always rad. Also the restaurant staff was very nice and helpful!
Ordered online for delivery through Postmates/Google for a relatively big order tonight on July 24 after a long day at Disneyland to the new JW Mariott hotel down the street because my wifes side of the family was craving Chinese food. All our food was hot, fresh and well packaged and arrived promptly. Really exceeded our expectations for Chinese takeout in Anaheim as Ive had poor experiences in the past. We had a party of 12 and spent about $200 total, about $17 per person, and we even still had leftovers, it was very well worth every cent. All the food was delicious and high quality. The orange chicken was phenomenal. The house fried rice and chow mein dishes was cooked and seasoned perfectly. All meat dishes we got had no fillers like other places that put absurd amounts of onions or lettuce; Lantern Garden puts ALL protein which we appreciated. We had ordered practically everything on the menu and to top things off a boba drinks for the kids and some chocolate chip cookies to top things off. Overall, very satisfied and happy and I would order here again if they deliver to Irvine or if we plan another Disneyland trip.
I live down the street from here. Its a family owned place. The food here is great. I always order from here when I am having people over at the house. Not going to find many quick chinese food places that serve this type of quality. Take it from a local.

Ordered takeout here tonight with my family of 6 at around 10:30 PM after a long day of walking at Disneyland and the food was soooo good!!!! So thankful that Lantern Garden is open late because the whole family was craving high rated Chinese food in the area and found this gem on google maps only about 1 and half miles away from our hotel. The food was delicious and steaming hot even when picked up the food and then got back to our hotel to eat. We had many of their main entrees which included white meat orange chicken, mongolian beef, broccoli beef, shrimp and veggies, shrimp fried rice, bbq pork chow mein and 3 milk teas and 3 thai teas. Everything was freshly cooked with our drinks made in front of us and we waited about 20 minutes for our entire order but it seemed they had a lot of orders going which we didnt mind since good food takes time and a busy restaurant means its a good one. We would for sure definitely return here for a best bang for buck priced family chinese food meal when we go to our annual Disneyland trip again!!!
Delicious Chinese food and fresh bubble tea at an affordable price. Gets very busy during dinner rush time but thats to be expected around this area so I always order ahead and recommend everyone else to order for pick-up ahead of time too. The 2 girls working the front work quickly and are very nice every time I visit. COVID-19 safety protocols are enforced here, bring a mask and dont get mad if you are asked to leave because you arent wearing one.
I had this AMAZING Chinese food delivered for the 1st time on 11/17/21 for a birthday party and it is the BEST Chinese food all of us have eaten in YEARS...1) shrimp dish had PLUMP delicious shrimp - no skimping ..2) chicken and beef dishes tasted EPIC with high quality meats and FRESH top shelf veggies YUMMY ...3) sauces are authentic with home made flavors BURSTING with flavor! SHHHHHHH Lets keep this place a SECRET! LOL
Forgot to take pictures of this meal, but was looking for a new, good Chinese takeout place locally and Im so happy I tried this place. Now, it was right as they opened, but the food and flavors were fresh and tasty! Portions were generous! Especially like the sesame chicken and green bean chicken. The timing of their opening is unfortunate, but since a large part of their business is takeout and delivery, Im hoping they survive and thrive!
They started off with a 5, great food quality, great customer service by the Spanish girl, and adequate price for food amount. However, they lost a 🌟 rating/ negative service behavior. For example, the environment was unhealthy noisy in a bad way. I felt like I was in a mental 🏥 hospital. It felt like life was being threatened for being a paid customer. Word to the wise, come in with head phones...
Yummy, yummy, yummy! I went here after visiting the weekly farmers market just behind the restaurant and my experience was nothing short of amazing. The ladies working the front are extremely nice and all my food and drinks were made to order. I got their cooked to order orange chicken with bbq pork fried rice and 3 rose milk teas with boba and everything was tasty and excellent value. We were able to feed 3 people with leftovers! Ill definitely visit again when I go to the next farmers market!
If you order online and arrive there for a mobile pick up, good luck on hoping the food is ready when you arrive. Plenty of times Ive had to wait over 30 minutes for an order I put in almost 1 hour prior. Also, Ive seen people working for doordash there before whove told me that they always have horrible experiences there waiting over 25minutes for an order pay that is not worth the wait. They need to figure out who to give out orders on time, perhaps hire more people.

Got dinner here for my family and the food was so good that I had to write a review about our experience. I ordered delivery from door dash app and got the house special recipe orange chicken, kung pao chicken, bbq pork, all 3 flavors of chicken wings, 2 large wonton soups and 6 boba drinks. Lets start off with the food, everything was amazing, it was all perfectly seasoned and cooked and I never had orange chicken like the way this place does it, it had the perfect amount of crunch and flavor that I never had before with orange chicken. They also have 3 different flavor of wings, im not sure which one was which but all 3 were soooo good, we really enjoyed the chicken wing dishes. Their wonton soup was great and was still super hot like it had just came out the kitchen when we got it, the vegetables were fresh and so were the meats. This place gives very generous portions of food for the price and its all freshly made which is a plus. Now lets talk about the drinks, we got 3 large thai tea boba drinks and 3 honey green tea with fruit jelley drinks and lets just say that everyone completely finished their food and drinks and wanted to order seconds..... LOL!
I have never went to this store to eat in person,, I have always ordered through doordash.I have ordered from doordash at least 6 times & every time the food is so amazing.The food is freshly made unlike other Chinese places where the food sits all day. I usually order the shrimp with vegetables and a side of fried rice .. let me tell you ..they do not skimp on the shrimp !You get lots & lots of shrimp! The veggies are crisp & fresh.. also the fried rice is amazing Ive also had the shrimp fried rice & its also very delicious & filling.The portion sizes of 1 order are enough for 2 people to eat.When ordering items with meat they never skimp on the meat & dont overload it with onions to save money like other Chinese places do.This is literally my favorite Chinese restaurant!They do not over season their food so its not extremely salty like other places ...the flavors of the vegetables & the meat can really shine through!I believe this place must be family owned because of the care thats put into the cooking. I usually order at night for dinner around 9:00 or 10:00 & my food always shows up piping hot, fresh & delicious!I usually dont even write reviews... but I feel like this place deserves its recognition! because they are always top-notch with the food.. even if I have special requests they always follow the special requests!!I love this place..If I ever do show up to this restaurant in person (instead of through doordash) I would like to give a big thank you to the owners & the chef for the amazing quality of food & service!!Thank you Lantern 🏮 Garden!!!

It woulda have been a 5 🌟 review, but i didnt like how the spanish girl working there shows up late to work. Then, she refused to serve me... The owner of the resturaunt had to come to my rescue and serve me. If you are miserable and dont like your job STAY HOME. Bad communication skills reflects who you are. Its a No for me.

Ate at this restaurant for 20 years until I left the city. Best food hands down! Every time I visit I go grab a plate because the chow mein and orange chicken are finger licking good.

2022-04-06I’ve been wanting to try Chinese food from a small business for some time now, and I coincidentally encountered this. The restaurant is very clean and smells incredible. The lady who served us food was super welcoming and filled up the container. The food, though, is the best part. I ordered chow mein with all the chicken. They are good, but the sesame chicken stood out to me the most with its sweetness and crunchy yet chewy texture. The food was served steaming. I’m definitely coming back for the food and service.The photo attached is of a portion consisting of chow mein, sesame chicken, and sweet and spicy chicken. I ordered to-go so the bowl is mine btw haha

2022-03-14The cuisine was AMAZING! This is the closest to New York style Chinese food Ive ever eaten in this area! I went out to dinner with my family, and the service was wonderful; the food was quick and tasty. I got the hot and sour soup, and both the broth and the ingredients were delicious. I hope my review gets them a lot of attention since its a terrific spot to go if youre hungry for Chinese food.

2021-12-27I visited after work. So grateful they were opened the day after Christmas. They no longer do combo orders after 9PM so I ordered family size which was a bit pricier. However, it was fantastic! Everything was cooked to order, it tasted fresh and crispy. We had the honey shrimp, orange chicken and house chow mien. Would definitely come back again

2022-06-17Orange chicken and sesame chicken has perfect crisp and flavor. I love going to different local Chinese spots, and this restaurant does not disappoint. It has all of my favorites, and the entire family enjoys it when we go out for takeaway. The prices are reasonable for the quantity and quality, and the cook time is really short. I have and will continue to suggest this establishment to all of my friends. One of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants.

2022-06-12For the last 2 years, since the pandemic started, this has been my favorite spot, and it is still going strong. You are always given more than you can eat, and the food is always fresh. I always give 5 stars. Its a genuinely good local restaurant that serves boba tea drinks and quality chinese food. I eat here around one or twice a week.

2022-03-14Food and service are top notch, and their steam tables menu contains enough variety to keep things interesting, as well as many fresh brewed boba tea drinks and toppings. Cooked to order dishes are large enough to share and come in a wide range too, they even have flavored chicken wings which are popular among my friends. Ive been coming here for more almost three years and have never had a bad experience.

2022-03-15We went here for our sons 16th birthday dinner, and there were approximately 13 of us in all. Im guessing it was the owner because he was really kind and took his time with us when we were placing our purchases. Everything was perfect, including the dinner, which was excellent and hot. Ive been here a few times previously, and the meal is always delicious. If you like Chinese food, check this eatery; we had leftovers because their meals are rather large.

2022-05-06The tea drinks are tasty. Ive been here few times on my way to work for their boba tea drinks, havent tried the food yet but it always looks and smells delicious. From the outside, it doesnt seem like much, but as I came in, I was pleasantly surprised. Its a reasonably sized restaurant that serves food and also brews fresh tea. The staff that are working is really kind and helpful.

2022-03-14Weve been visiting to Lantern Garden for a long time. The food is dependably excellent, ranking among the top in Anaheim Ive ever tasted. The customer service has always been outstanding. Kids usually appreciate the meal, which is amazing given how finicky they may be at times. We dont live as near as we used to, but if were in the local area, this is where well dine.
