Pro: Clean and easy access to the lake.Con: Restroom was closed and only one pit toilet was available. There was what sounded like construction throughout the night until morning (hammering, talking, big rigs, and heavy machinery).Side note:. Not much area on the lake shore to chill and super crowded.
Beautiful! We stayed at the west shore campground and it was awesome. Lake is warm and kids loved swimming. Lake Alpine Lodge has a nice store, restaurant and bar. Cabins for rent look nice too. Very busy, we got in at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and got what appeared to be the last open camp site between all 3 campgrounds. Camp sites have a picnic table and fire pit but no running water. There are bathrooms and water spigots located around the grounds. We will be back!
Such a beautiful lake and camp ground. Really hope they get bear lockers as you cant hang a ice chest from a tree. Ive had them in my camp every time I have visited. However I Havent had any bears bother me at the campground on the other side. The lake is so beautiful, and the fishing is also great. I love the store, bar, and restaurant. Cant wait to visit again.
This is a beautiful campgrounds although it is a bit pricey at $26 per night. It also gets full real fast so you better get there early. My only complaint about this Campground hes at the camp host and that Lake Alpine host drive around just harassing you. Everything from where you put your tent to how tall your fire is to whether or not youre going to put water on the fire before you leave. My last stay was two nights and at least five times we had the lake Alpine camp host harassing us about something. Kind of ridiculous made me feel like I was being yelled at by my parents. But the campground itself is really nice

2021-06-19Great views. Clean campground. Restaurant food and supplies at Lake Alpine Lodge. The weather is perfect right now. Glad we came up this weekend. The only issue are mosquitos. Be prepared for them!

2021-06-19This is an incredible campground and impeccably maintain by the hosts. Also the nearby country store, restaurant, lodge is a beautiful place to hang out with really helpful staff. I was really impressed with how clean the pit toilets are, no smell at all. Photos are taken nearby.

2020-08-19Absolutely beautiful. Short walk down to the lake, minimal motorized watercraft which was great since we had the kayaks. Lots of cool spots to explore and rocks to jump off of, and for a lake in California it was pretty damn clean too.

2016-10-22Best best Ive ever been camping at. Fresh cold water. Feels like you are really in the forest. Plenty of room for big family. Safe, Securiy comes around every morning to check up on things. Hiking trails, Lake, Fishing. Coming back next year! Highly suggest!

2021-08-15We enjoyed a lovely day at Lake Alpine! The water was refreshing, it wasnt too crowded even on a summer Saturday, and the facilities provided by the Lodge made a big difference. The other local lakes/reservoirs are terrific options, too, but if you welcome a boat rental or a hot meal then Lake Alpine is the place to be. Highly recommended as a day trip from the Arnold area, and kid friendly beach areas.

2018-06-26This use to be a wonderful place to camp. Now understand I have been camping here since I was a small child with my parents. We just came back from what will probably be our last camping trip there. The camp grounds are wonderful the facilities as clean as can be expected. The problem is the people and the lack of respect for others. The camp host do about nothing about roudy people. Every night we had to deal with loud music until 12-1am people walking through our camp sight and the constent overbearing smell of marijuana. It has been geting progressively worse over the past five or six years. One can only imagine how bad it will be in the next 5 or six years. We made the best of it but will be looking for a different place to camp from now on. Its a shame becuse all our children grew up camping here so many memories and now they will not be able to share this wonderful place with there future children becues of lackadaisical management.

2021-09-06This is a beautiful campground that is kept very clean. The reason I gave this two stars is that the campground hostess this season is extremely unpleasant and rude and will yell at you for the slightest infraction. Oh, if you have bully breed dogs, camp elsewhere. If you have any other type of dog, dont worry.
