Be extremely careful when you sign up at this location. They use shady tactics to make sure you sign up (They love to skip over the fine print). They will tell you they are going to waive your initial sign up fee, and then hit you with hidden fees later. Be very, very careful what you sign up for. It may sound like a good deal, but shop around and do your research first.Be extremely careful for the annual fee they charge you after 2 months but dont tell you about (how does this make sense? Annual means a year).
Great gym overall, theres plenty of great equipment to use in this gym as well as dumbbells that go up to 100 lb, and plenty of cardio equipment to use as well. I went to the gym for a few weeks during one of my California trips, and I enjoyed it a lot. The gym has a great staff and its a great overall environment to workout in.
LA Fitness needs a time or day to clean the pool each week. I saw dirt floating around in the jacuzzi and the pool…. MOLD!!! I hate giving reviews but I sure do pay 50+ dollars every year they charge to keep the gyms clean and machines fixed. I dont see where my money is going in this gym. Treadmills always have dried sweat and locker/shower flooring needs UPDATE.
I dont recommend it! Someone had broken my lock and he had stolen all of his staff. At that moment the staff checked all of the lockers. But the following day the manager -Steve Hernandez- found part of my staff in one locker with the lock broken without my credit cards, my iPhone and my money. So weird. La Ciénaga doesnt have control. Its dangerous!
This area has really stepped up their sport. It become constantly a large, spacious, low-key and welcoming facility, but now that they have redone the gym interior and ground, additionally they smooth the exercise area lots extra frequently, which makes it a actual satisfaction to go to. front table workforce is generally remarkable. 4 stars rather than 5 due to the fact, ok, the showers and locker room are okay but now not remarkable. however for a exercising, this is, inside the closing year, a much more best facility. thanks for fixing it up!! 😁
On the positive side, this club has a ton of equipment. A lot of the old school Hammer Strength weight plate equipment and a lot of other stuff too. Theres something for everybody. The showers are not the best, but you dont come here for the shower. I do recommend this club.
Free weights are very seldom placed back on proper racks. The manager, Joe Kelley, provides poor customer service. I approached him about a concern he was very short...rude. Told him of his lack of quality service and he looked at me in disdain and offered no apology but rather said he was NOT having a bad day. Id hate to seek his assistance if he were.
This gym is great in a lot of ways, but leaves some things to be desired. One of the best features that sets it apart is how many classes happen throughout the day. You can check their schedule and just show up to any of them with even a basic membership. My girlfriend and I have done yoga and spin classes and have overall really enjoyed them. It has all the equipment and spaces one could want at a gym, including a pool and a basketball court.Im not a fan of how how the temperature is kept. I know some people like to work out in extra heat to lose the water weight, but it just discourages lightweights like me. Their treadmills are also a bit old, and are showing their wear with rust and chipped plastic parts. Worst of all, there are only a few water fountains scattered around the walls, and none that are built well for refilling water bottles. The same is true for stations to clean the equipment, so often you find yourself walking across to the other side of the space to do either of those things. I guess its all exercise!Overall, really cant complain because the price is right and the equipment is serviceable. The staff is also very friendly. Its just unfortunate that a few things that seem like basics are overlooked and keep it from being great.
La Fitness (Inglewood) has a great juice bar and equipment but the ladies lockeroom is poor (small broken lockers and no seating area). The biggest problem is the classes presented on the website and printed schedule. Cardio jam is really a Step class, Body Work & Abs is really Kickboxing and basically one instructor for most of the classes. LA FITNESS (Inglewood) need to fix this!! But, the Cardio Jam instructor was kind, patient and explained that the class is really a STEP class not CARDIO JAM.
This 5 star review is based on the following considering I pay $20 a month to bicycle here in less than 4 minutes from my apartment and the customer service is outstanding, whether you are talking to Paco, Josh or off site membership service Brendan, these folks try to do right by you and that’s just cool. Sure, could this facility use some TLC, absolutely but in general everything works, and that’s important with all the action this gym gets. It’s $20 a month, you get what you pay for but I think it’s a solid value for a great team of personnel.
This place has really stepped up their game. It was always a big, spacious, low-key and welcoming facility, but now that theyve redone the gym interior and floor, they also CLEAN the workout area a lot more often, which makes it a real pleasure to visit. Front desk staff is generally excellent. Four stars instead of five because, okay, the showers and locker room are okay but not great. But for a workout, this is, within the last year, a much more pleasant facility. Thanks for fixing it up!! 😁
I paid for one year but due to the fact the gym is extremely dirty I didn’t continue to go there. I have noticed when people use their machines they sweet andNo one cleans them and it can cause the contamination of hepatitis. The shower rooms and the locker is contaminated with fungus since it is not clean regularly. The lockers are full of dirt..If you go in the afternoon you have to wait 20 minutes for using each machine.
So much better than it used to be. Very friendly staff, clean facility and great equipment. One thing they need to do to make this place perfect is remodel the locker rooms and bathrooms. The carpet in the locker rooms is so old school and gross. And the set up overall feels like a waste of space. It also just smells bad. Also, the gym needs more dumbells...especially the 20s, 25s, 30s, 35s (which are used the most). Theyre almost always in use which can really throw off a workout. Thanks for the improvements so far though...with these last couple adjustments itll be five star gym!
Be wary of signing up with Burnell the sales person. I came in and signed up with what I thought was a AAA discount membership. Nothing down and $40 for 5 months then he said come talk to him when its time to adjust the price, this was last May. Cut to March 2020 and I am still paying $40 a month. He kept giving me the runaround saying to come back next month, come back later, come back next week. Then finally he said come back around New Years. What a joke. Also offered me some LA Fitness swag for signing up and such and always gave me the runaround about that too. Very disappointed. In terms of this gym its okay. It is the hottest LA fitness Ive been I think due to the sun roof window. Its also very cramped in the weight lifting area. I find the Culver City location to be better.
One of the better LA Fitness locations in Los Angeles. Can get very packed, but they have parking and a variety of equipment. It smells pretty bad however and the air conditioning doesnt always seem to work. This gym is only one floor and has limited space for working out on the floor without equipment. However, it has two basketball courts and a pool.
Nice wide open space. Even when busy, theres machines to use, unlike at other locations. 2 or 3 stair climbers are usually not working. Weights are occasionally missing. Some of the machines make more noise than they should. Not the best smelling bathrooms. Lots of parking in a garage. Was going here for over a year before switching to a different facility much closer.
AWFUL! It feels like youre working out in a sauna. First month when I started, the AC was not working for a few days and it was hell. During the summer its impossible to do cardio in this gym as youre gonna be dripping with sweat in the first couple minutes on the treadmill. Theres no sliding door or anything to close the entrance space, its wide open, so the AC cant cool the gym enough. Most of the equipments are old. People are really disrespectful with the equipments. Theres chewed gum all over the treadmill cup holders, dumbbells are all over the place and most likely wont be available when you need it. Very crowded on Mon-Fri between 6:30-8PM. Some nights its really hard to find an available treadmill at this time. The staff was always polite to me, thats the only good thing about this gym.
First all this is not the place if you are trying to weight train there is not that much weightsI dont like the lockers; too smallTraining area for training sessions small too smallThis location is a mall and the gym is inside I find it a bit small even though it has a basketball court and a pool. Its pretty clean for the most partParking wise it good lots of spaces but it is share with other businesses.
This LA Fitness is located on the west side of LA so pretty close to my house. The only bad thing regarding this location would be morning and evening commute traffic, it can be herendous ! The facility is always clean, very spacious with an array of fitness equipment. Front desk attendant is usually pretty friendly and helpful.
Terrible gym, LA Fitness is one of the worst gym companies!1. They don’t have enough weights and the equipment is not high quality.2. The gym is dirty and the locker room stinks. 3. The gym is always packed and no equipment is available.4. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Have extreme caution when you sign up, they told me to my face I was not signing up with a contract and that there was NO cancellation fee, but guess what? When I went to go cancel cause I didn’t enjoy the gym they said I was stuck into a three year contract with a cancellation fee! And even if I ‘canceled’ my membership I owed them the membership fees until my contract ends. They just skip over the contract, smile in your face and make you sign while lying about what your signing. They don’t even show you the contract, this is my mistake for not asking to see the full contract and read it fully but they did lie to my face and didn’t even offer to show me the full contract. Please do not go to this gym!! To get out of my contract and cancel my membership I had to cancel my credit card! They will cold call you and lie to you. Many other people have had the same experience as me!There are SO many other amazing gyms in LA, stay far away from this one and all LA fitnesses!
Im going to assume that people who review this location only visit this particular one. I only came here because I was in the area for work. Ive been to many locations across SoCal, and I would rate this one below par. The free weight section is just 15-20% of the entire gym. Just 3 small racks for dumbbells is a huge red flag for me. Most people here seemed focused on cardio or light weight training. The temperature of the gym is my biggest gripe. Why do they keep it so warm? The gym gets moderately busy so add human temps and a warm building and you get the most uncomfortable environment to train in. If i wanted hot yoga I would go to one. I will avoid this location from now on.
This gym is alright. Machines are great (they just put in some brand new ones) and the staff are friendly and helpful. That said, they could really do well to have the locker rooms cleaned on a more regular basis. Consistently I walk in at different times and the floor is very dirty. The culture in this gym needs some work. It attracts meatheads of both genders who seem to think grunting loudly and slamming weights helps with their gains. Also, it seems like no one has enough respect for their gym to put any weights back where they belong. Weights are at any given time all over the entire gym floor, or put back in all the wrong spots. Wanna put your 50s back in the 50s spot? Gonna have to move the 25s out of the 75, and 50s out of the 25, and the 100s out of the 75, and the 35s out of the 50, etc, etc.The culture at this gym lacks consideration for fellow gym members in that regard as well as machine use. Ive had to talk my way back in to my clearly marked machine after coming back from a different part of my circuit. Its one thing to wait and then ask to work in, which Im totally willing to cooperate. Its another to just take the machine and then argue with me that I wasnt using it and make me explain the concept of a circuit, marking my machine with water bottle and towel, and working in.These arent necessarily the gyms fault or responsibility, but they could definitely aid in the process beyond just putting up a small sign that says please rerack your weights in a small text. Theres also people that talk on their phones in the sauna or listen to their music in the sauna without headphones, but what can you do beyond telling them to knock it off?Again, the gym itself is great, but an establishment is also judged by the atmosphere and culture it has, and the people it attracts.
Paid for premium program 6 months. After 4 months I got sick and took me to recover 5 weeks. I missed 22 sessions of the program, some sessions missed the first 4 months. Contract ended and they still continued charging me my CC. I called to cancel and was said I have to do it at the gym office staff. I went and they say will file and headquarters office will do it.Never hear, and still many attempts to charge my CC. I had to cal my CC bank to freeze my CC.After 2 weeks I got the call, they say I have to pay same amount to keep my sessions roll over for 22 total. I said no. I want to Cancel. They canceled and I loose all sessions for a Value total $900. I couldn’t book my sessions pending from the APP.When I signed the contract I was told if I miss a session, the session are roll over at the end. But never tell you, you have to pay same amount to keep going after contract end. Always you will loose money. Also they make copy of your ID or your lisence. They take a photo of you. There is no way to fight and get the refund. Forget your money.Be careful when pay. They love CC or DC. Easy for them to charge automatically.Much better if you pay cash. Easy to cancel and you will not loose when you want to cancel. Since is a prepaid program always you loose money when canceling the program. I will never pay more training programs here.Easy way to steal money from customers.
Nice location with free parking. They have basketball courts indoors, spinning and a studio for group fitness classes including yoga, Zumba, boot camp and others. Theres also a juice bar that sells merchandise. Locker rooms are standard for LA Fitness. And the indoor pool is not usually crowded. The group fitness instructors are not all equal. Check out the instructors until you find one you like.
One of my favorite LA Fitness is it has basketball and theres always good basketball going on. Also they have a pool and sauna although the pool is always full I think. But the sauna and hot tub arnaiz. Also parking is great tons of parking for as long as you want. They even have two basketball courts
The gym is actually pretty big has a huge pool, it one of the only gems that actually smells clean. The only thing I didnt like about it whats that they have group fitness classes till 10:30, when other gyms stop at 9 giving you three hours to use the room for training.
I have to disagree with the majority of the posts here. I doubt any of them have access to LA Fitnesss financial records and likely have no clue what level of funding they receive from corporate. Look, its not a restaurant. Youre there to sweat your butt off, not eat off the locker room floor. If ANYONE has any clue where people can find two indoor basketball courts in a central location on the west side please let me know. As for the ceilings being low... sure that can be annoying but they didnt build the place specifically for two basketball courts, it was retrofitted to accommodate them. You dont like it, go outside and play on asphalt. That will lower the wait for me (evidently lots of people have adjusted their outside shot to take a little arc off it , because they are very VERY popular). Ive gone there since it was opened and Ive NEVER seen equipment broken for weeks at a time. There are a LOT of machines and the facility offers numerous yoga, kickboxing, dancing and other type classes, including a spinning area. The only thing I would say as a negative is the showers could use a bit of a renovation. I enjoy using the jacuzzi all the time and the pool is heated and feels great. THIS GYM IS NOT DIRTY (except the showers a bit) and there is NOT trash all over the place. I wonder what kind of chip on their shoulder a lot of these posters have. Maybe theyre trying to get people to not go there so they will have unfettered access to any machine any time they want.
Gym has good parking accessibility, and its pretty much complete. Reason it got 4/5 is b/c treadmills can get pretty packed during peak hours and have you waiting a few mins, plus the mens locker room smells like ass. Literally, like ass. Its probably permanent too :/
They care about keeping people safe from COVID 19. Policies: social distancing on all equipment, social distancing in the locker rooms, mask and temp check at check-in, closed water fountains, continuous employees disinfecting equipment and most importantly Enforcement of wearing mask on weight area. Thank you all. Truly care about the customers.
HORRIBLE Experience. I mailed in their cancellation form as requested back in February 2020. They stopped billing me in March so I assumed it was cancelled but then I started getting charged again in Sept 2020. After trying to call them several times and wasnt able to get a hold of anyone so I had to call my bank to stop payments. Their billing department called me 5 times this morning and when I called back to tell them I had cancelled it they said they couldnt verify it. I asked for them to cancel it and stop calling me and she just transferred my call to another person that couldnt help me. Why is it so difficult to cancel my membership when I followed your procedure? Please STOP calling me!
I’ve been to a few of the local gyms in the area and this one is definitely my favorite one. They have a wider variety of equipment and Jamie is the man and will help you find the fastest results. Most trainers charge an arm and leg, instead Jamie’s prices is best and he works with your schedule!
The place is and well equiped and parking is easy. The BIG downside for me is that management doesnt enforce re-racking weights nor do they have any staff re-racking behind the lazies-like most other gyms-so doing a proper dumbell routine is almost impossible even in down times. Also they have no sweat-towell culture here which is kinda gross.
I give 2 stars. This has brand new equipments and clean. HOWEVER, you can never find your weights when you want to use them. Doesnt matter what time of day you go, ive gone EARLY when they just opened, the weights are only 35% racked the other 65% you have to walk all around the gym just to look for them. It gets super packed too! Management need to really step it up with organizing weights and racking them if the members arent doing it.
This is the Best Gym anywhere! I had to lose 25 pounds and LA Fitness here on La Cienega in Los Angeles did it for me! Great Staff, Great Trainers, Great Equipment, Great Manager. Special Thank You to Gail Castalta, Manager of LA Fitness on La Cienega! Excellent customer service, affordable pricing. Newly renovated gym!
Im rating this gym based on the cost and value for that cost. After going to 24 Hour Fitness for two years, I was pleasantly surprised about the quality this gym. My complaint about 24 Hour is 1) No wifi (& barely any reception) & 2) No AC & terrible ventilation. LA Fitness does have functioning AC and wifi. They have free, easy parking (whereas at 24 Hour you have to pay), and they have a lot of places to stretch & lots of cardio machines. Ive been able to find the weights I need and the equipment I have wanted to use has been functional. Of course for me location is huge as the gym is walking distance from my home/work. I dont shower at this gym or use the lockers so cant comment on those things. I mostly use the cardio machines, free weights and stretching space. I have had no problems with the staff. I have noticed that people leave paper towels wadded up in the cup holders of the cardio machines and these dont get cleaned up. That means I have to touch their sweaty used paper towels which is gross. So, number one, they could have someone wiping those down more often; number two, I cant believe how inconsiderate and disgusting people can be; and number three, putting up signs asking people to throw away their debris might help. But overall the gym has what I need, has a far more spacious feel than the cramped, underground 24 Hour Fitness on Pico/Roxbury, has a pool, basketball courts and multiple classes. My friends like the spin classes there. The hours are great (they are even open till 2 on thanksgiving). For $30 a month I think its a great deal & that you can get more if you pay more.
Personal Training director here is horrible. If you enroll in personal training and want to make any changes/cancellation its impossible to meet her. To make any changes you need to come in person and she is super busy, she wont answer phone calls, she wont call u back even though front desk staff takes ur note to call back. You need to schedule an appointment in advance in the middle of a business day to meet herand She wont come on week ends. Staff here is poorly trained, if you ask any question which they are not sure, they simply passes some wrong information/will tell that manager will call back and take ur number. But no one will really call u. This place has serious management issues.
I really like this LA Fitness, and I’ve been to just about every one in Los Angeles. The locker room is huge with lots of space so you can get changed without being in somebody’s way. There are plenty of cardio machines and I haven’t ever had to wait for a treadmill. The best part for me is that there are two places in the gym with punching bags: one in the group fitness room and a second row of bags out by the cardio equipment. Every other LA Fitness only has one set, meaning they can’t be used while the classes are in session.Only con for me is that the sauna isn’t very warm and it’s usually really crowded.
They got great equipment and ample space but their b-ball court absolutely sucks. Ceiling is super low so if you have a high arching shot you need to change it or it’ll hit the ceiling. And the most slippery floor I’ve ever played on. You can literally ice skate on the floor with your shoes. They clean their courts probably once a year lol. I’d also avoid the older trainers. They don’t seem to know how to teach proper technique or form. Saw one of their clients being pushed to absolute exhaustion on shoulder overpress. He was arching his back badly and instead of moving onto a diff exercise the trainer kept adding more reps if he didn’t finish the set. Terrible way to train and will eventually lead to injury.
Huge parking lot, unlimited time.Plenty of pieces of equipment. I have learned to be adjustable at any gym now a days. If something is in use I go use something else. Of course it will be dirty. The only gym I just a member at, when I had more free time, that was always clean was sport club La (now Equinox).
The gym is nice and busy but dirty. Its the only la fitness Ive gone to that I had to walk in circles just to find the disinfected spray to clean my equipment and aerobic machine. It looks like most of the machines have not been maintaining its cleanliness. Not to mention I had my clothes stollen from my locker. I usually dont put important things in the locker without a lock. But clothes? Twiced I had my weight lifting gloves taken and my pants taken from the locker. I dont leave anything in the locker without a lock anymore.
They fixed the air conditioners so I change 1 star rating to 4 stars because everything else is really good. (This was my old review: There is not enough air conditions even for main section. In rush hours breathing is so hard! Its not healthy working out in this situation and body needs enough fresh air and oxygen. Working out in Zumba and dance classes is not enjoyable with this condition. Please consider this situation.)
Terrible customer service. brushed me off because i didn’t wanna sign up. would not recommend this gym to anyone. tried to offer me a $15 guest pass. i don’t even know what the gym is like why would i pay for a guest pass?BURNELL MILAN is the worst manager. they just want your money
This place is disgusting. Water fountains have rust on them and there is exposed plumbing in the showers. Everything just broke and is being repaired this week. The soap in the showers is diluted with water and never locked or covered. The pool has been under renovation forever. The staff hates their jobs so theyre all pissy all the time. Finally, they wont ever issue you a refund or cancel your contract even with all the major issues stated above. I will never again be a member of la fitness and will strongly recommend against them at any opportunity. Id rather go to ANY gym but this one, trust me.
Weights are almost never properly returned. 4 bench presses and 4 squat racks for a gym of almost 100. Always crowded. Lots of cardio machines. Most are forced to go to this gym since its the only traditional style gym around for miles since the 24 hour fitness on Pico closed.
Really bad customer service. A “personal trainer” called me repeatedly to schedule a time for us to train and to explain the different service they offer. I came there and she didn’t show up. The gym is okay. It can get super crowded at times and you’ll find yourself waiting for weights.
The worst area, the worst gym (la fitness) sauna works weak, 50 people inside the sauna. Will never come again. Management must to do something with exactly this fitness. Upgrade or something. it’s not very nice to come, I don’t know why, but everything is felt dirty starting from the locker room!
I have been a member for years and it has continually declined. As stated in other reviews the staff is what makes it horrible. Much of the staff have been there for years and with no legitimate management they feel they have no reason to conduct themselves with any tact, let alone professionalism.I called to ask if there was a place to file a comment, I was set on hold for more than 15 minutes before I called back. When I did, HELLO? was my greeting. Not even a, LA Fitness, from there I was informed their manager Wes was on his 10 minute break, despite the fact I was on hold for 15 minutes. That is just the start, I constantly have to walk passed the people who work there and their desks. Which is often used for a pillow as they openly sleep on the job. It wouldnt be that bad if they would just close their eyes and more importantly their mouths. That is where my greatest point of contention is, the staff are gawking and making comments about the guests. Total lack of tact when I can hear a whole conversation about their personal dating lives (I am complete making a G rating out of their NC-17 conversation) when I am wearing headphones and working out on the floor. There is no management to clean up this act. It wont change until they get rid of everyone including Gail, Wes, and all the predator trainers.
I have a few issues with this gym. For one you can never find the proper dumbbells; theyre always out of place or simply no where to be found. Next the basketball courts are extremely small in all dimensions. The sidelines are walls (which are not even completely flat), the baseline is a wall immediately behind the basket (begging for injuries), and the ceiling is too low to shoot a decent jumpshot. Finally, in order to use attachments on certain cable machines, you have to rent them out with something of value. What??!!
I actually remember this as a Montgomery Ward! This LA fitness is a bit weird--the swimming pool is downstairs (so youll have to go up and down stairs just to go to the pool) and everything else is upstairs. theres 2 basketball courts but theyre very short, and the ceilings arent high so if you shoot from further than 20 feet, and have any sort of arc, you hit the ceiling.Parking is plentiful in the structure or in the lot.
I was pressured into a one year training package. The first month went well but shortly after the trainer just simply did whatever he wanted. Each training session is 25min. Basically the trainer would come 4-5 min late and end about 3 min early. So basically your session is about 15 - 18 min. As well 90% of the time the trainer was texting on his phone. I wouldnt recommend anyone getting a training package at this gym...
Been going to this gym for 3 years and I am finally over it. Some 75/80 dude who comes with his wife and all their cronies to the pool every morning finally did it. After years of yelling at this guy for spitting in and around the pool he decided it was ok to pee on the pool deck where the communal showers are 5 feet away from the jacuzzi. He pointed to the rubber mat that lead to the water drain and he said its ok its a toiletI lost it and was yelling at this man and realized he didnt speak English well enough to understand everything I was saying. There was a phone by the pool so I called up to the front however she was the only one working so she couldnt do anything other than leave a message for the manager. I didnt have enough time to stay otherwise I would have called the police for indecent exposure/urinating in public. After calling corporate I was assured I would receive a phone call within 24 hours and it has now been 7 days and no phone call. Due to the location of this gym the pool is disgusting. Its sad because there is a great community of people who want the pool at la fitness to work but these scum have ruined it.
I have had the best experience of my life training with with Derrick John at LA Fitness, La Cienega. I had a near death accident a few years ago and working with him I am regaining core strength and endurance. I ride Dressage and its like he knows just what I need so that I can excel in my sport. He is a font of information not only training in a gym environment, but tips and tricks for working out at home. He knows all there is to know about nutrition and will freely share information, time and his wonderful energy. If I reach out to him, he answers back almost immediately. He has become a very important person in my life and I wanted to share this with others. As Derrick always says - eat healthy!
Male staff should be trained on how to talk to women to suggest one-on-one training. Not only was I told that I needed to stay in the gym while I was in the middle of a workout. I was also belittled for how I looked and my choice to save money. Reverse psychology didnt work, it ran me off. Take your money to 24 hour fitness.
For $30 or so a month, this may be THE best deal in LA. Its a shame that the trash talk posts from TWO years ago, while may have had SOME accuracy back then, still remain posted; they are mostly irrelevant now.. This gym is DRAMATICALLY different/improved from what may have been less than perfect back then. Is it, totally perfect? No. But, is at 80%+, a resounding yes. If you want/need perfection, there is always, Sports Club LA, Equinox, etc but at $2-300 per month, AND some may expect that perfection, which is totally understandable. Is it perfect, NOPE.But, if you want a COMPLETE gym experience: easy free parking with security drivers, super friendly front desk and staff, new and tons of cardio and strength tarining machines, free weights, classes, bball courts (2), new Olympic pool, AND bathrooms that cant stay clean (due to messy clientele, NOT the service staff, this is, again, your kind of place and the best deal around. PERIOD. Thats my .02.
I am a member of L.A. Fitness and have been for a year and have been to other L.A.F. gyms around the area this is the worst managed, equipment dirty, bathroom is a filth, staff need customer service improvement. Altgough it is the busiest of all I believe it needs to be managed better.
After having a horrible experience at La Cienega let me be the first to tell you: DO NOT SIGN UP HEREThe gym itself is fine, the equipment is great, and parking is good, its the staff and workers that is ABSOLUTELY VILE. Boy do I wish I read these reviews prior to coming here. I got screwed over big time after signing up here, and am never going back here again.Expect when checking this place out to constantly be bombarded with phone calls, extremely pushy and pain in the @$$ people bothering you when youre coming to check the place out, and high pressure meetings to sign up right away. These people are scumbags and will not leave you alone once you step foot here and they realize youre a prospect.A little tidbit...the promotions they give you are BS and are always there, they just change them every few days. Moreover, life expectancy here is short, because the staff has to get a minimum amount of signups otherwise they get go (so I hear) That said, the reps will do whatever they can to get you in, including hoodwinking you, lying to you, just to get a sale. They also backstab each other in an effort to make a sale.If you absolutely MUST go to this location, do yourself a favour and go register at another location, and then just come here for the workout, but do yourself a favor and DO NOT sing up here...trust me. One last thing, Beware a guy named Craig.*** AVOID A GUY CALLED CRAIG AT ALL COSTS ***
Best gym ever you need to go there and experience a good workout from top-notch trainers and an overall great atmosphere with people of the same mind in like love going to La Cienega Club LA Fitness also got the best knowledgeable managers Ive ever talked to in cells and Ive been in the gym scene for over 40 years
Everyone complaining about the air conditioner 😂 I dont mind if the AC isnt working I still go in and do my entire workout and enjoy that I sweat more 💯 if the AC is out here go to a different LA fitness if you care that much 👋 you can go to any LA fitness in the country 😒 I love this gym 🙌
Warning do not join the club...very bad customer service.. Ive been attempting to Close my account and is very difficult... Ive gone so far as to cancel my debit card and they still found a way to charge.. They always give me the run around... They are great at helping you get a membership but when you try and cancel its super difficult...i tried in person only to be missled and given the run around.... The gym is always dirty machines berly work... Becareful not .......and i repeat not give them your cheaking account or debit card info....ive spent numerous hours trying to cancel my membership...this is absolutely unacceptable.... I would look somewhere else for a gym membership....unless you want a huge headache....

2022-06-08Basketball courts are cool, just really low so expect to hit the ceiling making you miss your shot unless you adjust. Mens locker room smells because they use Carpets on the benches. That needs to be addressed ASAP.

2022-04-12I really enjoy it here. I started coming here after lockdown to help alleviate stress and to get back in shape. Its cleaner than most of the other gyms in the city. The staff is friendly, encouraging, and motivating. Marshall and Dean are both excellent personal trainers who are willing to push you towards your goals while remaining patience if youre new to exercising.

2022-07-03It’s confusing how to access the gym, I had to go to target to ask them. They have a lot of machines but also a lot of people go there, I struggled to find dumbbells and accessories for the machines, I don’t think I’m coming back to this location. I was working out at Sunday 8-9:30 am

2022-01-12This place was good but they obviously have an organized way of stealing peoples property from the locker room. They even go into your car if you leave your keys in the locker so not only, they steal what is in the locker but go to your car and also take from it, at least they leave the keys in the car tho, but the staff have no control over this or so they said.

2022-06-16Getting tired of these horrible gym hours... No reason a gym should be closing at 5pm on weekends. Cmon.Edit: glum updated to 8pm which is slightly better.

2021-10-27Lots and lots of machines! Its likely they have the machine your looking for. Usually busy around 7pm at the moment. Lots of parking outside. They also have a sauna, jacuzzi, pool, and personal trainers. Pool is about 4ft deep. Overall, kind and helpful employees. They also have a deal where you can use the gym for free for five days. Would recommend

2022-05-22Always clean buy wayyyy too small. They should have built a 2nd free weight level above the cardio area.

2022-05-27Its okay... Just wish they would fix all the machines that are broken an come thru an sanitize more often, an a few more classes wouldnt hurt.
