I stopped in at Kamps office on my way home Thursday at 4:30 and ordered a fill, came home after work on Friday and had propane, They also lit my water heater (located outside)!! I would like to say that the office staff and Gus the delivery driver are top of the line, number one, great service!!! Thanks a million and happy memorial day!
Recently received simply OUTSTANDING and PROMPT customer service from Ivan (office) and Dave (technician) to repair a broken riser and have our aging tank replaced. Although we thought this would be a huge headache, the entire process was made so simple by the Kamps team who demonstrated professionalism, genuine concern, and a sense of urgency for getting our issues resolved quickly throughout the entire process.Huge shout-out to Dave, the technician who came to our property. Dave arrived (as promised) within minutes of our first phone conversation and was simply a pleasure to interact with while getting the repair accomplished. Dave is a true professional - highly competent, extremely knowledgeable, yet friendly and patient. He superbly accomplished the repair and answered every question I had along the way.We have had nothing but outstanding service from Kamps for the nearly 19 years theyve serviced the property. Were on a regular route, our tank has always been filled on time, weve always payed our bill on time/as agreed, and over the years weve never had any negative interactions with anyone weve spoken to on the phone.
I called for service on Mon Jan. 26. I was at 30%. I called on Mon. Feb 2. I was in the red. I believe I am now about 15 %. Going on 2 weeks . You charged me already for the propane. Plus you owe me 29.00 from previous fill that you over charged me.I have turned off my heater. Thanks for that.If you dont want me as a customer please let me know. There are plenty of other propane companies around.Bonnie Martin
Someone needs to send the women who think they run this office to a customer service seminar! Consistently flippant NOT MY PROBLEM attitudes from both Holly and Ginny every time I call. They are NOT HELPFUL and NOT PLEASANT to deal with at all! Miserable people! And judging from the other reviews I obviously am not the only one to feel this way.....
I have the SmartMonitor, and they are supposed to come out when you fall below 30%, driver tried to deliver yesterday, but due to weather, and my dirt road, didnt. I checked my tank last night and it shows empty. I truly hope I dont run out before they are able to fill it. Monitor isnt worth anything if they dont watch it. And of course, now I have to fill it from empty and not from 25%, so extra cost to keep heat in the house.
I called Kamps today to ask for prices and about the dryer conversion to propane, while I was shopping for my dryer. The person at the appliance store told me he didnt know about the gas conversion, that I should call my gas company and ask them if they could do it depending on the dryers model.Holly was nice at the beginning and I told her about my situation of purchasing a new home and that I was planing on having Kamps as our propane supplier, after that she became very arrogant and said they would only give prices to their customers, does it really hurt to give an estimate by phone? so do I need to have a contract with them and then they could tell me the prices? Holly didt want to help at all I asked her if she could tell me if they would be able to convert my dryer to propane to what she answered that I should ask that question to the appliance seller when I told her they didnt know. So I had to exit the store without a dryer, butt hurt, and frustrated, Hollys attitude and arrogance didnt help at all. Horrible customer service. First impressions are important that is why I will be hiring a different company.
We called them on Thursday with the tank at 25% which turns out It is actually at 0! They said they would be here the next day and never showed up. It is now Monday and they are now saying that they dont know when they will have someone in my area. Are we the only ones that seem to have a faulty Gage ??
This is soley directed at the woman that works in the office! for whatever reason you felt the need to show how in charge you, are is beyond my understanding. you are a very arrogant and spite full person the power you must feel knowing that you showed me or the i dont care what you think ways will only be understood in the months to come. i can only hope you find the help you truly must seek in regards to your bipolar ways , i truly feel this must be some kind of medical condition you are struggling with !for whatever ive done im telling you sorry and your in my prayers and wish you all the luck youll need to succeed in life

2022-01-11Kamps propane has an extraordinary employee there whose name is Dave Connor. He can be called upon to answer questions, to move things along faster, to troubleshoot, to make sure that everything that can be done is being done for you. Every company should be so blessed as Kamps Propane in Alpine to have a Spokesperson like Dave Who loves his work, who never complains and who works every minute of every day to build strong relationships with our community of Alpine. Dave Connor, I hope you never retire. Thank you for everything you do for us.

2022-05-04The women that work at Kamps in alpine are awesome. I just moved to eucalyptus hills and know nothing about propane and when I call with a question they are on it and ready to help anyway they can. Being elderly we appreciate any discounts but more than that the customer service you receive. Thank you !!!!!

2022-03-05Our delivery driver is amazing! He is always so friendly and helpful. However the girl in the office that answers the phone has the worst customer service. She was very rude and could care less about my current situation. Yes we owed money from our last fill, but times are tough and I havent been able to make a payment then I get a call from our driver saying he has a lock order but doesnt want to do that to us and to call the office. Well I did and I explained our situation and that we have 3 small children in the house and she could care less, then hung up on me. I offered to make a small payment and she said it was to late. What happened to helping people out in these hard times?

2022-03-04Terrible customer service. Was on an auto fill set up being I work out of town 4 to 5 weeks at a time. I would get a call that my bill is due I call make a payment and all done. Now I have to pre pay and cant get back on auto fill for 2 years!!!!!! Joke. Every time I received a call my bill is due I pay the balance right away. Sorry I have to work out of town. Will probably just switch companies.

2021-05-04Kamps service has been reliable and the set up was seamless because the property I purchased I already had a Kamps tank. I had some billing issues but once I was able to speak with the manager Craig he got then corrected immediately. If you have any billing or customer service issues I would not hesitate to ask for Craig he was very responsive and seemed happy to help.

2021-03-16Horrible customer service from the woman who answers the phone. We are new customers who signed up for the auto refill program. Kamps is supposed to automatically know when to come out and refill our tank without involvement from us. Great, this sounds like a wonderful service. Just checked our tank and we were at 5%. Called the office and they could not have been less helpful. Apparently we dont have a gauge on our tank that communicates back to the office. No explanation why or when we would get one.

2021-06-10I have two complaints, first they almost locked my gas to my house because supposedly the previous owner hadnt closed out there account (although Im not sure thats the case), but fortunately I was home and was able to show that I had opened an account with them. Secondly, I moved out of that house and called to close my account and was told I was good and all my dues had been paid; then I went on a deployment for about 6 months and when I came back I had multiple letters saying I owed money and was past due on the payment. Kamps Propane clearly has some records keeping issues that they need to resolve.

2021-02-14My experience with Kamps Propane has been excellent! Well Malissa is excellent! Shes really the only one Ive dealt with since we moved here in March 2020.She suggested things to help me save on my bill. Shes just amazing, friendly and helpful. I have peace of mind knowing my propane needs are taken care of and I dont have to do a thing.

2019-02-24We are entering our 3rd year with this home and our Kamps service. There is always an issue with the payment process. Lady in office is extremely difficult to work with when discussing payment and now they have not filled our tank that is monitored and supposed to be filled when below 30% we are at 10% so we called and they said they would be out this week and I checked today and we have not been filled up. Oh it is winter and now the cost to fill is going to be so much more than if they filled at 30% like they are supposed to. My next fill might be the last. Nothing but problems. I hope they can make this right, they are less than 5 miles down the road from me.

2021-04-09The staff is helpful and the drivers are always nice, but i HATE the phone system. You have to leave a message and they get back to you...whenever they feel like it.Like they cant be bothered to take your money.UPDATE 4/9/21: The person over the phone tells me this is the emergency line as provided by Google and if the phone is super busy in the office, it goes straight to emergency.called 4 times and all 4 was leave a message and sometimes days later office personnel call back.
