We had a wedding to attend in Murphys and where able to book a room at the jumping frog for almost half the price of the other hotels. Its definitely a no frills stay. Definitely outdated all around but if you just need a clean place to sleep for a night, its not bad. Definitely not bad for the price.
Quaint, like most old motels that have been kinda renovated. The air conditioner is in what can be called a closet. The shower is okay but, like a cave. Good bed in my opinion.
It was not as described. It was dirty. WiFi bad tv bad. No hair drier as it said. Not a queen bed as advertised but a standard. Spare pillows and cases were dirty. Small and was $100 not $68 as was told. Again, very dirty
We have wonderful stay. Room was clean and price was right. It was quite. The staff were very friendly. We met nice guess. It was laid back and relaxing. Will be staying again.
Simple, clean, humble motel. Sweet name and has some charm. The shower tiling was really pretty
We spent a three-day weekend at the Jumping Frog Motel. The motel host was very friendly and attended immediately to any needs we had. We walked to meals, finding a variety of restaurants within close proximity. We enjoyed the downtown area, reading the plaques in the sidewalk which told about each years champion frog jumper. Fun experience!
Really loved this place, kind of a throw back from hotels in the 50s. I really thought it was great. Love the town where it is too. Great family hotel.

Very comfortable bed. Good firm pillows. Great A/C even in 105 degree temperature. Quiet and restful.

Its an older place but well maintained.not bad price and ac worked great. Clean rooms and access to a grill i believe
It was a place to sleep, thats it. Bring your own shampoo, conditioner and soap. If they put you in room 101 - right next to the office - ask if they can move you. I wish I had.
Its a cheap place to stay, and you get what you pay for. Cold, somewhat dirty, and very, very thin walls... A good option if you are on a tight budget and only plan to stay for a night or two.
Very quaint, comfortable, friendly, quiet, safe. With just so many retro touches..love it. Dog Friendly. Bbq and picnic tables. Porches with outdoor seating

2021-09-11We stayed at The Jumping Frog Motel when we were in town for a concert at Ironstone. It’s always nice to visit Angel’s Camp, and feel the laid back California small town comfort it provides. Our room was clean, accommodating and functional. The shower was amazing, and the bed was so comfortable I slept in til 10! We also enjoyed the charming courtyard and the management was discreet, polite and helpful. We will be coming back the next time we’re in the Angel’s Camp area.

2021-02-21Pretty clean. Somewhat run down. The toilet would occasionally loudly refill. The shower had very low water pressure. Fine given the low rate. The pillows had plastic covers under the pillow cases, but were very loud and crinkly. The heater worked well and quickly heated the room. WiFi initially gave 35Mbps, but after 15 minutes dropped to 3Mbps.

2018-10-07Pretty much what youd expect when booking an old style mom and pop motel. Older property, reasonably maintained. Small rooms with minimum amenities - but all you need. Friendly check in. Parking right in front of your room - which is great when traveling by motorcycle. The room was quiet and clean. Water pressure in the shower was a positive surprise! As with most of these old style hotels, there are really not enough electric outlets to charge all the toys. Great location in walking distance to downtown restaurants.

2019-11-20Rooms are just gross, and room rates are way to high. We had multiple issues with our room, and when I attempted to address them with the management I was told they werent around and could not be contacted. I wrote a letter for the owner/management explaining our problems we had but was never contacted.
