I got these patio lights online and sadly they didnt work, despite checking all the bulbs and the fuses. But the awesome staff at this location went above and beyond to make my day. Angel and Marie, you are 5 star customer service in my book.

A nice red heavy canvas was on the wrong shelf. The shelf it was on said it was $8.99yd. The fabric price was actually $20.19Yd. They have me the fabric price of$8.99Yd. I had already had them cut 4 yds. This was fantastic customer service. Thank you.I was purchasing allot of fabric, rotor cutting blade and Mat set and 2 pairs of great sewing sissors. I was still impressed with that customer service. Joannes gave me the less expensive price. I am so happy and my family will be happy with the chef aprons my girlfriend and I are making them for Christmas.
Probably the saddest cross stitch/embroidery section I have seen. Maybe other locations are better.i really wanted to like Joanns so I could stop going to hobby lobby...guess not.
The best customer service, kind helpful, and extremely knowledgeable employees. These great , and kind people will try their best to help you , and will never turn their back on you. They are obsessed with cleaning , and organizing the store, and will make sure everything stalks at the right place with a right price. They won’t put you on hold , and will definitely make sure you being helped. The store got lots of high quality merchandise with great prices , also there is no an end for discount season at this particular location. They have the best return policy , and will really help you get the best deal of the day. They are extremely friendly, and will treat everyone with respect, and equality. I love this store. I was shopping there for 2 hours. I hadnt realized what great clearance items they have. Its worth it just to shop those items at the end of each season. I bought a beautiful seasonal wreath for my front door. Its so pretty. Just saying. Lol

I always find a deal on great fabric! They are always helpful, and get you the fabric you want! For example I bought this lace fabric in a seafoam color, and they were able to help me find it in pink and white to make other dresses!
Great for sewing stuff and some craft items but I found their beadin/jewelry making supplies a bit lCking.
As a dedicated crafter, Joann Fabric and Crafts is my oasis. Of the local store doesnt have it, there are quite a few locations within the greater community. One will have the item looking for.
Friendly staff, tons of stuff. Best prices, good digital coupons, and daily sales. I am far from the industry but I still get lost in there for an hour or two every time I have the need to stop in for a yard of this or that, for a project or repair. Far better deals than anywhere else Ive been, short of wholesalers, and honestly if you cant find what you want there, its probably going to be a tough rundown. Even if I dont know what Im looking for exactly, I get loads of ideas inside and typically leave with far more than I came in for. Strong recommendation from me for sure
Joann is an awesome crafting store! They have almost everything a crafter could want and need. If you dont find it in-store, check online and have it shipped to your home or to your local store. If you want a project, check online and find some fun. Staff have ideas or there are plenty of plans, pamphlets, and books too. 👍🏽
I went crazy when lock yourself in and only shop online its crazy how one can be around things I love glue for all sorts of projects so I bought 6 different kinds! Got the buttons I wasnt sure to get online and art projects for the littles. Spent too much time and money ! It was fun! Lots of deals and the helpful clerk helped me find the online barcode so ended up saving $ 30 % I love her! One of these days I will go back!Good selection not great but It worked out Got what I needed and way too much wants hard to excercise any self control! But thats everywhere for me!Bought some baking supplies too! Didnt see that coming! Oh what fun to have time and a credit card! Lol
Awesome store. They have so much to choose from in just about anything a craft person would need. The staff is very friendly and there prices are reasonable. And they always have huge sales with big discounts!!

Such a nice person (I believe her name is Bernice) was so helpful in finding a solution for an odd project I was working on. She went out of her way to look for the products that would help, and passed the time looking to ask about the project. I hardly ever shop at fabric stores, but I’m glad I stopped by this one for such friendly help.

Couldnt give it a five star but let me say its a big store with huge selections to choose from. Customer service was great with plenty of hand sanitizer at the station when you enter. Will be back to shop more. You will enjoy your time.

Nothing to complain about. Tje store is mostly well kept. If I had a complaint it would be the line at the back cutting table. There always seems to be a line. Other than that, the staff is friendly and there seems to be something new to look at each time I come in. (Too bad I dont have all day, every day, for crafting!)
The store has an old 80s feel almost because the building needs updating. Things are organized in neat bins and stacks accordingly but the store could have clear, visible signs with product locations.
One of the biggest and cleanest Joanns Ive ever seen. Oh did I mention theres so much fabric there, I didnt have time to look at 1/4 of it.

Had some good sales going on so had to stop in. Love the outdoor decor right now but refrained from buying everything! Wasnt very busy when I was there so quickly checked out with a friendly clerk.
Place was really clean and the aisle were well lit. Staff helped me find the items that I vaguely remember but they helped me narrow it down to the specific material I was looking for.It wasnt busy and the lines were all clear. Staff member offered the coupons online and helped me save more.Doing this helped me that I can rely on them when it comes to the customer interests.
Descent selection, but a lot of empty shelves, the store clerks could take a class in customer service, very abrupt, felt like I was bothering them. Their only saving grace was the cashier was pleasant and we bought what we came for.
Love this store. Always tidy. Sometimes its rough to find someone to assist, but theyre all super helpful. Cashiers are efficient.And yarn. So much yarn. I once got frustrated I couldnt find a certain orange, so I went to Michaels, and there was like three colors and two brands. Never again!Also, coupons. The cashiers are great about scanning every possible coupon, unlike other stingy establishments that will take one or roll their eyes if you have a bucket of them to go through. They just scan them all and if they work they work.Hooray arts and crafts.
This is the store on Arden Way. This store is not as big as the one in elk grove. But as choices go, it is almost as good. I like it for when I need a quick fix of fabrics and yarn! 😉
This location is amazing & the people that work there are fantastic!! They also usually have more/different fabric than the other local locations. And, there were big improvements with the recent remodel & I love the new self-serve price checkers, along with the new carts.
I buy way more than I came in there for, but I dont feel guilty, I deserve to be happy and this place gives my warm and fuzzy feelings. Crafting has become my quarantine refuge !
The young lady that helped us on our fabric cutting was great, but there was a line for cutting and she kept calling for help and no one responded back to her. When we got to check out line only one person ahead of us with 2 cashiers. One was too worried about if they were going get quota for the night! Well if they focus more on the customers then maybe they would buy more like we would have, but left after we got our cut fabric.
Great fall selection fabric for curtains and silk flowers for arrangement on shelf. Fabric high $9.99 per yd. So rated four stare. Go shop its fun.😰😆😅😜
Due to the Covid19, its hard to get any decent fabric here. And online, you have to get a minimal yard count. Just wished I can order what I truly need online, instead of buying more than what I need. But Joanne fabrics has always been one of my favorite craft store nevertheless.
Of I could give a zero I would! I understand that the pandemic has stores closed in person, but to advertise curbside pickup then call the store, be on hold for over 10 minutes. Put back on hold until the phone started ringing again then be hung up on is ridiculous! Your stores are not making the same money as before & with service like this it wont. I WILL take my business else where! Used to be a loyal customer
This store is always clean, everything is nicely laid out and organized according to craft, which makes it easier to find what you need right away. There are always specials and discounts going on and the staff are always helpful and knowledgable.
Another favorite place to go to. Not just a fabric store. Great craft store and lots of seasonal decor items for your home. They have great selrctiond and sales.

Nice place. Very clean and organized. Helpful staff everywhere in this large store. I have not purchased fabric in years, but this year I was buying material so I could be Popee and husband could be Lorax from our grandsons favorite cartoon or Tuney as he calls this. I did not know how to get fabric so I asked how does this work and woman next to me said you need to sign up on the list and place your bolts on the counter. At my age im looking for a paper sign in sheet when another woman said no its the machine there. Oh, ok. I punch my first and last name in and wait for mine to show on the overhead screen. No name shows up and after two or three more people get helped I ask if I missed my name being called. When all of a sudden the nice lady behind the counter calls another cutting helper and instructs her to help me next. Wow! I was shocked and blown away. I expected to have to wait for 6 or 7 more women to be served while I tried to add my name to the machine a second time. But nope...kind lady behind the counter saw how long I had been there and did not make me wait. I just love that lady. Thank you!
A decent selection of fabrics. Their prices however have been creeping up noticeably over the last couple of years. You can use your Micheals coupons there too if its a non sale item. Nothing great about it, but nothing bad about it either, basically its the only fabric store in the direct vicinity

My kids love this store. Always a cool project to pick up here. We love Perler beads and the selection here is pretty good. There is a coupon texted to me every day through their text subscription program, sometimes a really good one. Ask an associate if you need help they are very knowledgeable and willing to assist.
Good place to shop for crafts and sewing. Big selection of material for sewing and upholstery. Also knitting and crochet. Can be on the pricey side but using the coupons makes it affordable. They are also good with using the most coupons you can on your purchase. The sales prices are good also.
They have lots here. But there is not a whole lot of a varieties of sports teams like before COVID you could get lots of teams, but now not very many at all and mostly just your own states teams and no othersI might live in California but I love the Yankees 😍
Great selection of fabric and yarn. I came in for yarn, and found a good selection of worsted weight. I wish there were some higher end brands and a selection of non synthetic fibers, but Ill take what I can get when a skein is under $5.
Love this Joanns! The staff is always very. friendly and helpful. Very rare that I cant find what I need for my latest project. Would not recommend for picture frames though, pretty limited selection.
The associates helping with fabric at the back are so helpful! I was buying fake leather to build floor cushions, but the associate advised me that vinyl would be better and wouldn’t stretch out or have as much wear and tear from my cat.The store is well-organized and always has coupons - make sure to download the app before going!
This is a great craft store! They have most crafty supplies. Sign up for the email alerts and get valuable coupons over and above their standard coupons. I bought a Wilton specialty baking pan for 85% off regular price because they stacked my coupons! LOVE IT!

I came in looking for a latch kit and I asked one of the staff there she had no idea about it and then She didnt ask me any questions about it. So I commenced describing in and she just told me to go to the yarn section. Didn’t even think of walking over there to give a second look with me. Also the store smells old

I needed a cutting of a fabric and I took the bolt to the table. I told the clerk what I needed and she said she was busy. She was measuring out some fabric for a lady who left to go find some scissors. The clerk worked at a very slow pace, cut the fabric, folded it then proceeded to wrap the bolt back up and put it into a bin. Now 10min have passed and another clerk came and I told her what I needed. She informed me they dont give cuttings anymore. I turned to the first clerk and asked her why she didnt tell me that in the first place. She said I didnt tell her. I needed that to show a client I am having a chair recovered for. She did that on purpose and she is a liar. I would never let that slovenly woman wait on me again.
Went there for some iron on patches and found they had 70% off Christmas stuff already and if you text a number you get a 20% off coupon instantly! I got 2 sets of iron on patches, a pair of earings, an ornament for under $10!!

So Im a crazy Planner Llama...and Bree at the Arden location made my week! Her customer service skills are impeccable! She found the limited edition last one on the shelf planner I was searching for and held it for me. Otherwise, its an old store but well organized.
The only reason I give Jo-Ann fabrics for stars is a little complicated. In some ways, I like to give them 5 stars, and in other ways, Id love to give them a one-star. Im a guy, and I really dont know how to sew. So I came in here looking for some advice on what kind of sewing machine I should buy as a beginner. I came in on a holiday which was July 4th. And it was about a couple of hours from closing time for them. So I would assume they were on a skeleton crew. Nevertheless, out of six people that seem to be working at this place, only one knew how to sew and could make a recommendation to me. Im sorry I didnt get her name, but shes Asian and was back on the cutting table. Even though she was helping another customer, she was able to answer a few of my questions. To her, I would give five stars! The Other Women I talk to had nothing to offer... Seriously. Once I chose my selection of sewing machine, I went to the front cashier, which was a dude. To him, I would give five stars! He knew a little bit about sewing and was very courteous and efficient. But Lord have mercy Jo-Ann Fabrics! Wouldnt it be a really good idea to qualify your employees as to what experience they have before you just hire them? The whole purpose of Jo-Ann Fabrics is to sell Fabrics two people who know how to sell! And to offer Fabrics and machines to people who need them. It just makes common sense to me, but thats just my humble opinion. If Im going to sell Auto Parts in an auto parts store, Im going to make sure that whoever is doing is selling at my counter has worked on a car before and understands the basics of auto repair.
I frequent this store a LOT but that is gonna change. The cashier was SUPER RUDE. If thats the way she is gonna talk to costumers im not coming back. There is ways you talk to people. We are not your grandchildren.
Waiting for over an hour to get help on finding a certain plant for my wedding. I don’t know if the fact that I’m a guy or my skin color might be the wrong shade. Worst service I’ve ever had. Went to the front and asked. Still no help. You would expect this from teenagers running a store not grown women.
Good selection of cotton/ quilting fabrics. Not enough unique fabrics of other types, like the stuff that you make cocktail dresses or gowns out of. Prices are also high. Most employees are friendly but at least one person is crabby everytime I go in.
Conveniently located for me but its always a bit disorganized. This time there were boxes and bins out on many aisles as they set up stock for Christmas. It made it difficult to navigate with a cart and to browse easily.
Extremely knowledgeable staff. Arden location is small, so they dont always have a lot of choices. I do ship to store for large amounts of fabric (such as a bolt of muslin) or specific item (such as 2 mm pink rhinestones or outdoor Mod Podge). Remodeling the store soon from what I hear.
I thought they had any and all fabric, I was searching for some silk so I drove here, looked around then asked an sales clerk but sadly the didnt carry silk. Luckily the lady I spoke to suggested a fabric store literally 10 min from home compared to 45 min to Joann. I could have called ahead but I figured they are a fabric store they should carry that type.

The store is great and so are the employees but I give them 3 stars because on my last visit they had the ac extremely COLD! the employees actually said they had no control over it and were very apologetic but i had to make my visit fast and didnt take the time I wish I would have picking my fabric. Hope they fix it!
My go-to fabric store! Getting their app is 100% worth it, they have near constant sales. They often have the fabric I need, and if they dont, they probably have something close to it. Ive gone here several times and rarely ever had any sort of issues with the service. They always help me out, even with weird questions or me not really knowing what Im looking for at all, just the idea of it.
Material/fabric cotton, flannels quality is lower but too high priced. Very thin, some can see through its so thin. They have sales a lot but those just bring prices down somewhat. Occasionally can get one item regular priced for 50% off with a coupon. Constant cell phone ads coming in daily! Maybe some persons have better luck here than I. I miss Hancocks!!!
I shop here several times a week and have taken several sewing classes. But I always use a coupon, if its not on sale today it will be next week. The quilting instructor Diane, is the best instructor around this area. The classroom is very small and it is impossible to cut or work on a project and if you have a claustrophobic feeling this is a real problem. The instructor is on leave so I wont be taking any more classes until she returns.
Horrible customer service at this location. I had 1 fabric to get measured and cut, clearly stating how much I needed. Employee proceeds to cut it 1/2 yard short and when I reminded her of the measurement I asked for just played dumb. I was told there wasnt enough left on the bolt to cut the actual measurement I needed and it was basically my problem. I left with no fabric, mad! Come on! Measuring and cutting is your job and you cant complete that simple task? I wont be returning to this location ever. . .

Are you looking to get off the grid? Well, maybe this is not the store for you. However, if you are looking to revamp your wardrobe in your own unicornish way (No this is not the same as Cornish people). There are so many fabrics, pattern, and friendly people to help you revamp from drab to way fab. Why go to exchange stores when you can get new and you for the same cost.
Super place to browse and look for various craft items so many items to choose from and too the fabrics my girl loves to browse there.. only wish floor personnel were more available when you have a question about a certain item seems like you have to hunt them down when needed.. nice place though.!
I made an order on a website called WISH for some really cute clothes. Every item I received was Way To Small. It cost too much money to return it, and Ive already paid for it once. Everything I received is useless to me. 😭So I went to Joann Fabrics when they were having a 50% off sale. I decided to go take a look at some patterns. Then I found five different fabrics.Now I can make two outfits and three pairs of shorts that Nobody will ever have ... all for $32.00. You do the math. 😀
Every time I go inside they welcome me warmly. I always find somethind different and interesting. Cut table always has a wait and theres always a long line to check out so be prepared to wait no matter what youre here for. Great stuff at good prices, though.
May I just say- this store has the friendliest, helpful and knowledgeable staff. What a refreshing break after a morning of going to 3 separate place and no-one greeted you, asked if they could help you, ugh...This store is fantastic to shop at!!
They have got to do something about their disgusting bathrooms. The floors look like they havent been mopped in years. Theres always trash everywhere. Super gross.
Best place for crafts BUT new policy no backpacks. My daughter who had a small backpack style purse was told she could not enter store, while watching shoppers with huge tote bags walk in without a problem. Joanns Elk Grove nicer, larger selection, will go there from now on.
Love the Joann Fabrics on Arden. On-Line ordering and pick up is always timely and everyone that works there gives great customer service.
Has great coupons. Joanns has a variety of fabric, sewing notions, knitting and crocheting supplies, a decent selection of how to books, scrap-booking supplies, decorative cooking products, ect. Not as overwhelming as Michaels with knowledgeable and friendly staff.Between Joanns, Blick and, Michaels I can do crafts and make art on a budget.
When it was my turn at the cutting table, I said that I was concerned about prices. I changed my mind on one of the fabrics Id selected before it was cut. The staffer didnt take it off my ticket. The cashier neglected to verify that the number of fabrics matched my ticket, in the usual manner. I felt rushed by the cashier and too uncomfortable to take the time to verify my receipt before leaving. Sure enough, I was charged for an extra priece of fabric, and its on me to return as soon as I can to arrange refund.
My favorite fabric store yet ! Practically half the store is fabrics . They even have knitting , crotchet , scrapbooking , jewelry , many many many sewing patterns , flowers , etc for you to craft your heart away . If looking for a larger variety of everything non sew - I do recommend hobby lobby . But for everything fabulous ic and sew and even more - this is the store for you ! They even have tons and tons of coupons on their app , I typically save $5-$40 dollars every time I shop here . The most I’ve spent is $50 on items worth $90 in total . AMAZING !!
Rude people at this location! Love this store, has great things for every occassion. A little pricey but has sales all the time. The last couple months I came here there were certain employees who were just plain rude to me because I always come late leave when they close. They are in such a rush to leave that they make rude comments and give dirty looks to one another. Today, they closed the store early and all I wanted to do was a return after spending 600 $ in the last 4 days there! They do not appreciate their Customers and I do not feel welcome there! If u have a job and a child and dont have time to come early do not go to this site at night!

Product knowledge is important if youre going to sell sewing machines, bobbins, and thread. Your not just selling fabric, and even fabric doesnt just sell itself if youre looking to do more than making a dress or a shirt.Sometimes, youre actually better off going to a small business owned location like HI-FASHIONS FABRICS on Franklin Blvd. Personalized Service, Good Variety of Fabrics and Family Owned!
Not too many people working, but you can always get someone to help you from the counter, they dont come bother you while shopping. Pretty good selection of fabric, though half the store is given over to other handicrafts.
Has everything you need but felt a little claustrophobic. First time there and finding stuff was a little tricky. Better signage would be great. Also construction in the parking lot is underway and its really tore up out there.

The in-stock in the paper crafting area was pretty wiped. Plenty paper though. Seasonal items were on sale pretty good deals.

This place is like a toy store for me. It has everything a crafter needs or can think. Just walking in the doors I get more ideas for projects than what I came in there for. Easy to spend my whole paycheck if I went wild.
Staff is pretty friendly and knowledgeable wish they had more things like bigger selection of bra and bag supplies. Their coupons are the only way the prices for most things are reasonable.

I went there for some thread for some fabric I had. I needed help finding a shade to go with it and the store worker said white before moving on the the next person. Do they not realize there are so many different shades of white? It would be as if I came in with emerald fabric and they said green. Green does not help. I then asked what kind of needle to use with the fabric and was told heavy duty. I thought she was going to show me where it was, this was my first time at the location, but instead she chatted with her coworker and they walked off and headed into the break room. I had to ask another worker just for help. Never again.

Smaller store so not as much of a selection of what I was looking for, but it was clean, had friendly workers and I was able to get in and out quick.
Lines are not that long most people that visit in store are considerate of time and others waiting to enter usually has more supplies in store than u can see on line. And the sales on certain supplies are to die for

This place was hiding in plain site next to office max by bevmo. They had the perfect foam piece (I had been searching for months, no one had a piece large & thick enough except commercial reupholsterers and shipping foam is $$) for a reupholstery project. Bring your smart phone and they can scan their coupons off their mobile site, 40% off my big, elusive piece of foam!
Asked for a fabric sample and was offered a 1x1 inch square that didnt show that particular pattern at all. I was confused because it used to be a strip because the next person who buys from that bolt is going to want a straight edge and that strip is going to be trashed anyway. Rude customer service and when asking where I might find a metal stamping set, the ones to make jewelry, keys etc. personalized, the employee rudely commented have you looked in jewelry yes obviously but was wondering if you could show me exactly where it would be. I no there is different areas for certain tools etc. Overall rude customer service throughout my visit. Sad to say I wont be back.

Their prices on the app are different than the actual prices in the store not only by a nickel either than when you bring it to the managers attention its a hassle and almost an arguement to get them to honor the prices on the app??
This is my go too place after the big top! They have smell good pads that you can put any where or hang someplace... for cheap! Love the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Kind of expensive for while of the items. Not really the best organization skills it seems for a fabric and sewing. Things are hard to find here. The people working here are really not the friendliest and most helpful for finding things
I have been to a lot of Joanns and this one had the most stock and selections and I appreciated that. The cashier was also very patient
It is very clean and organized. The only problem is finding an associate. They are almost never on the floor so you have to go up to one of the two counters to find help / ask questions.

Needed advice on an automotive upholstery issue repairing the seat bottom web support of old Recaro seats. Got canvas fabric, round upholstery needles, upholstery thread, and a thimble. Result? My sagging seat cushion no longer sags.

Shelves were poorly stocked. Bolts of wool fabric were stuffed within the bolts of denim fabric for example. When you could find a clerk they could answer your question but they were hard to find.
This is a smaller shop but they do carry a good stock of crafty stuff from fabric, paper crafting, beads, etc. Good customer service.
Jo-Anns generally has everything you need, which youll already know if you go to fabric stores. One thing you MUST do is sign up for coupons because it really gets pricey otherwise.

All of the older women who helped us were so rude. They gave us so much attitude just for asking a couple of questions about the fabrics we were going to be purchasing.
So if you order off the website to save you some time just ask for the pick up order or call them and ask. Will save you time in the line outside.

2022-07-12Came here to look for some materials for a project. I think they were in the process of changing out seasonals stuff when we arrived. Most of the shelves were down or empty but the staff was very helpful and helped us find what we were looking for. Wonderful service!

2020-12-28Great! They had super nice and helpful employees and a really good selection of craft materials. They had at least 10 or 15 different glue guns, and a huge sale on Christmas ornaments. Overall, great experience and Im a happy customer!

2019-04-08I love this store! The employees are very knowledgeable. I have been searching for weighted beads for a blanket I am sewing. At JoAnn in Sacramento employee told me they didnt have this item. I assumed that this store would be the same but had to at least check. I asked the first person I saw and she was able to show me exactly where these beads were, (not in an aisle I would ever think to look in!!) Not to mention the beads were half off with coupon, always opportunities to save money if you take advantage of the many coupons, and if you shop here regularly I suggest checking out JoAnns APP it is very convenient and can save even more!!!! I also couldnt believe this hair clip was $1.50!!!I also had an issue with a class back in January, however I told the cashier, Echo came up right away and was able to get everything figured out for me! She is so nice and is very helpful I have had nothing but a positive experience Everytime I have had the pleasure of dealing with her.

2021-12-05Personally I love Joanns. I know people prefer Hobby Lobby and Michaels but Joanns staff is just so much more friendly and kindhearted. The fabric selection is top notch too. I often go there for 1 or 2 things here and there and never had a bad experience. Their customer service is the best.
