I have used JMC inspections dozens of times over the past 10 years. Paul Barrazza and his team are super knowledgeable and present their inspection findings in a reasonable and easy to understand way. I continue to use their services to assist my homebuyer and seller clients and would recommend their services to anyone in need of an inspection in the East Bay.
Our realtor recommended Lee Parsons for our required BESO assessment. Scheduling was easy online. Both Lee and the company were very responsive, normally responding to emails within a few hours. The day of the service he showed up exactly on time and completed the job in a timely manner. Afterwards he sent me a form to fill out to get a rebate, which I wasnt expecting. Highly recommended.
Paul Barraza of JMC Building Inspections is first-rate. He helped us evaluate the state of our new North Berkeley house by examining issues revealed in the purchase agreement disclosure documents and recommending remediation actions and local contractors to perform the work who proved to be excellent. Then during a year-long remodel, he was crucial in ensuring quality work by our less than competent general contractor by visually inspecting the finished work. Since then we have continued to turn to him for assistance including referrals for other major jobs including roof replacement and solar panel installation. I cant recommend him highly enough.

2022-04-15We hired JMC for our commercial property. They were utmost professional and thorough. Truly glad I found them and they made sure to list everything they possibly could on their report about the commercial property we were purchasing. From the Seana their primary person I spoke with up to Jeffery who did the inspecting, they were amazing and wonderful staff. Highly recommend them and the cost of the report was super reasonable! Best money you can spend when you are in the process of making a big investment.

2022-05-15Jeffrey came out and did a very complete inspections. He explained what he was doing and gave me a verbal summary of my report at the end so there were no surprises.When I read his draft report, I found a few things that needed correction. Jeffrey came out the next day. He looked at the two items I had questions about and sent me his revised report 24 hours later. It doesn’t get any better than that. I give Jeffery and JMC Inspections 5 stars and highly recommend them.And on top of everything else, Jeffery was a really nice guy. Low key, professional, friendly and well informed. When you do good work and have great people working for you like Jeffery, you know you are getting the best product out there.

2020-12-10We invited JMC to inspect an old office building we inherited.They came on time and were very thorough in inspecting the building. During the inspection I followed and asked questions and got a good thoughtful answers. Within a day and a half I got the inspection result. The document was neat and organize, with pictures and suggestions and was very clear. My wife and I have no experience with construction, and feel that the inspection and result gave us a good idea of how to understand our building and what to do next.

2020-02-06I read a lot of inspection reports. Occasionally I have been able to compare their report with another on the same property. In my experience JMC inspections are amongst the most thorough. Thats a good thing for all involved! The inspectors interact well with clients, I appreciate that too.
