Came here for the first time the other night for a concert. Beautiful old growth trees that provide shade. Bring a tall camping chair and you’ll be fine. Bring a cell phone, flashlight or headlight to go potty in the dark. The porta potties are dark inside at night. My only complaint is, we are only cider and beer drinkers. So we had nothing to drink. They should offer something for the people who can’t or don’t do wine. Food trucks that night were a super yummy chicken sandwich that had coleslaw and Mac n cheese on it,a bbq nacho place and an Asian fusion taco kind of truck.

This winery is on a beautiful property. Unfortunately it is terribly run. We were members but we are leaving. The last few times we have been there the service has been way below par. Today the servers told us to pick a seat when we arrived. They told us they would I be right back. We waiting 15 min And decided to check if they forgot about us. The servers were so “buzzed” that they indeed forgot about us. Once we sat down we were eaten up by mosquitoes because of all the stagnate water . We drank our wine and cut the fun short. Decided to use the restroom before we left. The closet portopotty were in disgusting condition, almost overflowing with feces. We decided to try the regular restroom, my husband had to hold the door because the locks were broken. This place has a lot of potential and in the past it was a lot of fun. But it seems to be going downhill. We won’t be back.

Best of California right here! Napa is too snooty, come here for a laid back environment with down to earth people, and a business that has been family owned since the 1800s. They also have a summer concert series, cigar nights, and other awesome events.

Weve been to our fair share of wineries in Northern California - this is by far one of the friendliest family owned wineries you can visit and of course, the on-site produced wine is amazing! Cheers!

Jessie’s Grove Winery In Lodi, California is, without a doubt, a priceless gem for many reasons.Since it is a winery, let’s start with the wines. One word: Delicious. Here’s some more words: Crafted with care, pride and love. Every single bottle. From rich robust ancient vine Zinfandels to wispy Pinot Noirs, from oaky Chardonnays to seemingly honey-laden Moscatos, this winery offers palate pleasing wines. They are a vineyard. Surrounded by acres of vines, as you drive down their olive tree lined lane you’re hit with a feeling that you are definitely entering a special place. The dedication of over 130 years of careful grape cultivation emanates from the soil itself. The lineage of this effort flourishes up to the moment as this vineyard is “Home to the oldest Zinfandel producing wines in the Lodi Appellation.”When visiting, you are immersed in a country farm. Barns, animals, tractors, wagons and implements are everywhere you look. There are stories either of history or of use for all that you see.Their tasting room has photos displaying the heritage of the vineyard and of the family owners. Merchandise and memorabilia is all about. As prized as the wine certainly is, so are the people here. From the family members to the “seems like family” employees all are open, friendly, down to earth personalities who add their own unique touches to make a visit to Jessie’s Grove amazingly special.I am in love with this outdoor winery. Don’t worry, the tasting room is indoors. Please be sure to visit the spacious canopied outdoor sitting and mingling area. Here you can learn of the fascinating history of the family, farm and vineyard from the family matriarch herself! She’s not always there, but count yourself lucky if she is.Make a visit to Jessie’s Grove mandatory. You’ll thank yourself for making that choice.

Jessies Grove is a farm first and foremost. Its been around since the mid 1800s. Theyve got some beautiful old buildings and even a collection of old farming equipment that you can see upon request. They also have some very old vine grapes that make for mature wine. Try the carignane. Im not very familiar with this French varietal, but youll get a really good taste of it here. Just dont expect this to be like an Italian resort. Its a farm and thats where all the charm lies.

The people in this winery make you feel welcome. We got a wine class from Greg and Tana and got to see the wonderful work they do that. The wines they sell in the premises are great.
