Visiting family and in town. We went here for the first time, it was so beautiful! Fun place to bring the whole family and little kids. The kids were running and playing in the fenced area, there are horses, a stage for musicians who perform at the winery. There was no musicians the day we went, but the kids were playing on the stage and taking photos. It was so adorable. They have picnic tables set out for families to use and you can bring your own food and spend the day here while adults can drink some wine. I would go back, beautiful scenery and awesome staff!
We attended the Fleetwood Mask concert and had a fantastic time! Had never been to Jessies Grove Winery before so didnt know what to expect. What a great venue to sit and enjoy a great band! Tons of shade under the beautiful trees. Easy to find a place to park your chairs. Food trucks available or bring you own picnic. And the owner actually is there to greet people and make you feel welcome! And best of all.....great wine at fair prices! Ive been to multiple concerts at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga California and paid triple for a Dixie cup size glass of wine! The crowd was a mix of older adults, middle aged adults and families. Even the kids were enjoying the concert! Everyone was super friendly. All in all a great evening! We will definitely be back next summer for another concert! We traveled from San Jose to see the band, but if we lived closer, we would probably be at all the summer concerts and would definitely become wine club members!
We showed up for the winerys evening picnic and there was a live band and they had lights in the trees. it was wonderful. the music was awesome. Then they went around with little waggons and we tasted the most amazing wine samples, the Chardonay and the Merlot are awesome. I will be back to try other samples of wine and hopefully be back for the picnic under the trees. DIANA.
Beautiful location, extremely friendly staff and the wine selection is delightful. There are picnic tables so pack a lunch, enjoy the farm animals and the peaceful location while sipping on a good bottle of wine. This wine stop is worth it, you wont be disappointed.P.S bring a good camera the fall sunset is amazing on the property
Ive been to my fair share of Lodi wineries, and this one is definitely my favorite. Its such a beautiful winery and I have never been disappointed with the tastings. They are so freaking friendly here! Its a really laid back atmosphere and theyll make you feel right at home!
A Lodi wine tasting adventure that delighted us to no end. We sat at an outside patio and were treated to the remarkable true stories of the grove from Wanda, Jessie’s granddaughter and author of the book Jessie’s Grove: One Hundred Years in the San Joaquin Valley. Each vivid tale, from crossing the continent during the Gold Rush to working the land in search of the American Dream, were only briefly interrupted as the next tasting was described and presented to us. A truly memorable day with our picnic in the shade of the trees and next to an early 20th century barn.

2022-06-13Came here for the first time the other night for a concert. Beautiful old growth trees that provide shade. Bring a tall camping chair and you’ll be fine. Bring a cell phone, flashlight or headlight to go potty in the dark. The porta potties are dark inside at night. My only complaint is, we are only cider and beer drinkers. So we had nothing to drink. They should offer something for the people who can’t or don’t do wine. Food trucks that night were a super yummy chicken sandwich that had coleslaw and Mac n cheese on it,a bbq nacho place and an Asian fusion taco kind of truck.

2022-07-03This winery is on a beautiful property. Unfortunately it is terribly run. We were members but we are leaving. The last few times we have been there the service has been way below par. Today the servers told us to pick a seat when we arrived. They told us they would I be right back. We waiting 15 min And decided to check if they forgot about us. The servers were so “buzzed” that they indeed forgot about us. Once we sat down we were eaten up by mosquitoes because of all the stagnate water . We drank our wine and cut the fun short. Decided to use the restroom before we left. The closet portopotty were in disgusting condition, almost overflowing with feces. We decided to try the regular restroom, my husband had to hold the door because the locks were broken. This place has a lot of potential and in the past it was a lot of fun. But it seems to be going downhill. We won’t be back.

2022-04-23Best of California right here! Napa is too snooty, come here for a laid back environment with down to earth people, and a business that has been family owned since the 1800s. They also have a summer concert series, cigar nights, and other awesome events.

2022-04-10Weve been to our fair share of wineries in Northern California - this is by far one of the friendliest family owned wineries you can visit and of course, the on-site produced wine is amazing! Cheers!

2019-09-22Jessie’s Grove Winery In Lodi, California is, without a doubt, a priceless gem for many reasons.Since it is a winery, let’s start with the wines. One word: Delicious. Here’s some more words: Crafted with care, pride and love. Every single bottle. From rich robust ancient vine Zinfandels to wispy Pinot Noirs, from oaky Chardonnays to seemingly honey-laden Moscatos, this winery offers palate pleasing wines. They are a vineyard. Surrounded by acres of vines, as you drive down their olive tree lined lane you’re hit with a feeling that you are definitely entering a special place. The dedication of over 130 years of careful grape cultivation emanates from the soil itself. The lineage of this effort flourishes up to the moment as this vineyard is “Home to the oldest Zinfandel producing wines in the Lodi Appellation.”When visiting, you are immersed in a country farm. Barns, animals, tractors, wagons and implements are everywhere you look. There are stories either of history or of use for all that you see.Their tasting room has photos displaying the heritage of the vineyard and of the family owners. Merchandise and memorabilia is all about. As prized as the wine certainly is, so are the people here. From the family members to the “seems like family” employees all are open, friendly, down to earth personalities who add their own unique touches to make a visit to Jessie’s Grove amazingly special.I am in love with this outdoor winery. Don’t worry, the tasting room is indoors. Please be sure to visit the spacious canopied outdoor sitting and mingling area. Here you can learn of the fascinating history of the family, farm and vineyard from the family matriarch herself! She’s not always there, but count yourself lucky if she is.Make a visit to Jessie’s Grove mandatory. You’ll thank yourself for making that choice.

2020-01-22Jessies Grove is a farm first and foremost. Its been around since the mid 1800s. Theyve got some beautiful old buildings and even a collection of old farming equipment that you can see upon request. They also have some very old vine grapes that make for mature wine. Try the carignane. Im not very familiar with this French varietal, but youll get a really good taste of it here. Just dont expect this to be like an Italian resort. Its a farm and thats where all the charm lies.

2018-11-07The people in this winery make you feel welcome. We got a wine class from Greg and Tana and got to see the wonderful work they do that. The wines they sell in the premises are great.
