Usually a cool place, but during oyster fest they advertised bottomless mimosas. Once we got there, we were told its $15 for a pitcher with no refills.We showed them their Facebook post advertising the deal which we especially came for saying bottomless mimosas. The rude managers response was yeah well we can change our minds when we wantI dont know if he was the manager, but even his employees knew he should have honored the deal.Who made this guy the manager and the social media specialist? He should be neither.
Ive been visiting the Jam for years now. This venue is nice. There are several weekly events, food, live/electric dance music, & full bar that anyone can be a part of and get a sense of the community everyone here has become a part of.

This place does not serve jambalaya. However, it does serve tasty beats from local musicians, DJs, etc. Always a good time but theres almost always a cover charge. Ranges from $5-$15.

This place tries to come off as high end. I will say that the drinks are the worst Ive had at an Arcata bar, and thats saying a lot. They are really weak and very expensive. I avoid going here because there is a sort of snootyness that I get from the staff. It just seems like they are trying too hard. Not terrible, but I will not spend money there.
Ive only ever stopped in here for the night time events and shows. I’ve always like the Jam. Been a while since I’ve been down there but I’d recommend this location for friends
Great venue for music and comedy. Wednesdays are Whomp, Whomp dance parties featuring DJs from all over the world and the best sound system in the county. There is something for everyone here.
Great bar, awesome pizza, lots of live music featuring local and touring bands. Fun people. Check it out and enjoy.
The bouncers are tweakers. My girlfriend has diabetes and she wasnt feeling well and they stopped serving pizza and she went to another place while me and my friends are inside. She came back and they told us we have to pay a door fee but we were already there previously and we gave them business..and it ended up in a fight because drinks got spilled and then they put their hands on me. I felt bullied in this place and my girlfriend went to the hospital because her blood sugar was too high.
Great spot for a venue, badly underused. Their hours leave a bit to be desired, but its a good spot for shows and has a good staff.
Club 🔺 . Its when all the gays queers queens freaks and geeks come out. Spin master Mr. 415 knows how to get the dance floor shaking. Enjoy letting loose ;)

Great bar, with awesome bartenders. Heavy pours. And the music on the right night or day is amazing.
Beware Contractors! This business does not pay their bills. We are a small business that did work for them and they have consistently lied that the check is in the mail.

Jambalaya is one of the best places in Arcata to go dancing. They host a variety of music and record live shows.

2020-03-06Reopened under new management as of 3-6-20. Updated interior looks great! Staff was very friendly. In and out for lunch in 30 minutes. The new menu is quite expansive. I’m looking forward to coming back for more.

2021-07-04Brought my family of 5 here to eat and a band was setting up. Guy said 3 hrs till they start. Band started before we got our food. Had to take it to go. No bun on the hamburger, missed other things too. Food was alright though.

2020-06-18The new staff is really friendly and well trained. They have a great cocktail menu and really good food. The steaks are from the same supplier as AA steakhouse. Best steaks in Humboldt. Courtney, Chris, Jason, and Kyle were all awesome. Our new watering hole.

2019-03-06Really fun place, wicked chill. Only reason its 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was cash only after 9pm and the ATM there doesnt work lol but I still walked to the bank just to stay. The pizza was pretty good too and lots of craft brews and a few ciders on tap. Def recommend

2018-01-28They have gone through many iterations and owners over the years. The latest makeover is generally good, they offer some food (bar fare - haven’t tried it) and have many TVs up and a great sound system for shows and such. They book some really fun a so entertaining acts, both local and from out of the area. They do a great job of supporting the local music scene. The bathroom is awful, needs an overhaul. General upkeep is a little dingy, and staff can be a little gruff, but overall a fun place to be.I’d be happy to give it four stars if they’d keep the place up a bit and overhauled the bathroom! :)Definitely recommend it for some good live music and a drink !!

2017-02-03Most terrible service me and my party had ever gotten. The server/bartender/host acted as if it was a huge inconvenience that we were there. Only reason its not a 1 star is the guy preparing the food was in great spirits and had made great food.Bottom line: could be a decent place if the manager/owner cared about hiring qualified employees
