I would rank this restaurant higher if it were strictly on the food itself. The Kilauea burger tastes great, and our drinks were made well. My issue came from ordering a gluten-free bun for the burger (which was provided, and tasted good). However, I take significant points off because when ordering a gluten free bun, and stating that it is for an allergy, you should NOT serve the burger with fried/breaded onion rings. I was disappointed to have this happen, and when I asked the server to confirm that they were in fact breaded, she did not put two and two together...But I will give them another shot as I did otherwise enjoy the food!EDIT: I was able to revisit Islands with a co-worker, and ordered the same thing I ordered the first time eating here. I was very happy to see that the food remained tasty, AND my allergies were given close attention by my our server. Thank you for changing my mind, I will be back again!
Absolutely best meat in the places Ive tried. I even think its better than cote.They have sets where you can try a variety of meat. Def recommend whatever is the pricier one. Their other dishes are really good too. Service is amazing and it has two floors and tables are really spaced out.
Food was good. Service was decent. They were under staffed the bartenders were the servers. Had ask for my beverage that I ordered when the food came. Server forgot to put a add on to my order. I wasnt charged for it though. I dont blame there servers they are just under staffed and need more help.Overall good experience.

The food was ok, especially compared to typical LA cuisine. My favorite food is burgers and fries and LA has some amazing spots but this place is on the same level as a Red Robins or Chilis. However.... The service was excellent! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Our server Tieler was very nice and professional. The good service might tempt me back one day.
Love the staff at this Islands! Super attentive and very kind. Happy Hour is amazing here with $5 martinis and $4 wells. New Amsterdam is the well which is doable if you want to save some money. Also, you cant beat their truffle fries, only about 4.99 even when its not HH.
When we first arrived I put my name on the waiting list and I made a mistake by saying 6 people total when we were 7. We were 4 adults and 3 children. At first they told me they were going to have to separate us because its a max of 6 people but then they asked the manager and they said it was okay to sit together. My sister forgot her ID at home but she had a picture on her phone. She wanted to get a beer but they told her they needed the ID to be there. I think that was unnecessary because she had a picture clearly showing shes over 21 and they didnt accept it. We ordered some chips and guacamole, burgers, tenders for the kiddos, and some spicy buffalo wings. We had a few different servers and none gave us their name. We had to keep asking for things and none of them were attentive to our needs. They all seemed rushed and not focused. The fries we were served were very hard and not full French fries, they were bits and pieces and stale. The burgers were okay, the wings were crispy but not enough buffalo sauce, the tenders were all right. As for the food in general I think its passable but the service was not great and didnt meet our standards.
The service was outstanding ! The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because my fries were not hot. Had a Malibu burger & Ghost pepper fries, ( love the ghost pepper seasoning) My margarita was in a mug & twice the size of most restaurants. I’ll be back again :)
This was one of my favorite places to bike ride to, the food was great especially the fries. So sad to see them close and the loss of the employees who were the best.
The hours of Happy Hour are unheard of. Food is great. And beer is fairly cheap for places on the beach.

One of the best Mai Tais around, especially on happy hour. Skip the spinach dip, its too watery. Wings are solid and you cant go wrong with any burger.
Honestly the service was not very good at all. Got here around 6pm with a couple of friends we were attended and seated quickly the front hosts were very polite. That ended rather quickly with the girl server we had. She is short, black hair in a pony tail, latina maybe. Her attitude was very bad off the bat when I asked her what type of IPAs she had. I believe she was bothered by me asking that because she only told me the brand which I appreciate it but there are many different types of IPAs if the servers didnt want to be asked why have it in the menu to ask the servers. Aside from that we ordered an artichoke dip which was sour and very slimy she replaced it with another which was the same. The food was very bland which is never the case when we come to Islands maybe it was just this one. She never gave us any refills, straws, napkins we had to ask the other nice server she was blonder taller and slim. Once it was time for the check she took ( and I am not lying ) 20 minutes to give us the check to which came back wrong because she charged us for two artichoke dips them she came back once she saw us looked confused and removed it but still kept one I told her if it was possible to just remove it all because the second one was the same and we only tasted it and 98% was still there it wasnt like we just ate all and complained after. Honestly very bad service overall and unfortunately we will not be coming back there are many other restaurants around I would just eat there. There is this nice bar too which was across the street and a brewery down the road.
Words cant describe.... There were a good amt of people there, so 1 star and 1 star for the good chocolate Shake... But the food was terrible..Bread buns looked like they came from an old pack of hamburger bunsFries were refried and the truffle was only in the centerHoney mustard was white in color. WHITE! Both honey any mustard have color 🤷🏽♀️Lets not even start on the nachos
The food was DELICIOUS and FRESH! Our waiter was great and also, other waiters checked on us too so we were never in need of anything. We werent waiting around hoping to catch our server like some places. Great experience all around.
Nice restaurant located in Venice/Marina Del Ray. Got the tasty Veggie Tacos. Would recommend going here for a meal.
The food has been the best of any Islands we have been in California. Have had issues with many of the hostesses, as most seam like they are trying to get you to eat elsewhere. If you get pasted them, the servers have been very friendly. The food is key and the food is good
Finally found a local argentine restaurant/ butcher shop. Love the cozy feel, very reminiscent of Buenos Aires! Theyre churassco is amazing. Will be back for the Parilla with the family!One thing - I do not recommend the truffle pasta but that was my fault ordering truffle pasta at an Argentinian spot
Worst Islands and we’ve been to them all! Drinks were not served, our appetizers showed up with nothing to drink. Our server paid zero attention to us and never came back or served us any refills. Our dinner arrived and without any refills we once again had nothing to drink so our food got cold while we waited for someone to bring us something to drink. Had to ask our server for salt 3 times. Clear mismanagement at this Islands, all the others have fantastic service and bring you refills without even asking.
Not only were the burger and fries excellent, the service was too. Server Jennifer made me feel welcome (big deal for me). Pricey but worth it!
As with others, Islands is the best, but new management taking away unlimited fries? Why are you spiting your customer to save a couple bucks? If I would typically go to islands 5 times a year, now I go probably 2; not because Im missing unlimited fries, but because the statement that there are no longer unlimited fries speaks to the nickel and diming goals of management. So, Islands Management: is that worth it? Losing customers to save literally less than a dollar per party? Somehow that made more sense than increasing prices on alcohol to offset losses on fries??Yall need to take some b-school classes.
Place is not clean. Table was dirty and menus are filthy. Now its @$14 for a burger. Fries do not come with burger anymore. But price is still the same! Fries must be purchased separately now. Yet employees did not get a raise. Why are we supportting these restaurents! When we asked why fries not included they say cause of Covid. What the heck does covid have to do with fries?! People corporate America using covid to raise prices and and giving lame excuses for it. Did they consider many Americans lost their jobs!
The restaurant smelled musty and moldy and there were these little ants that kept jumping on me and biting. The food was good and the service was good. The interior needs gutted as the mold smell was overwhelming.

The burgers are always really good here, but since I can no longer eat burgers, due to health issues, I had the swordfish bowl...it was just okay. The brown rice was horrible and the fish was a little dry. The only saving grace was that the rest of the people with me had fries with their burgers so I was able to eat some of those, so I didnt leave hungry. The fries are always REALLY good. The stafd were really nice .

Never been here, but tried it out since it was nearby and a friend had suggested it. Really cool vibe and the employees are all very nice and happy to assist with anything you need. They are covid prepped and all the staff wears masks. Hand sanitizer located throughout.We didnt have a reservation but called right before we got there and we had no problem being seated right away. At first we sat in the middle, and had ordered drinks and 2 apps. As we ate, a couple got up and left so I asked if we could move to their table which was overlooking the beach. Our server said we could but that we had to move everything ourselves. No problem, it was worth it for that view, lol.They close at 9, but when youre deep into good conversation with great food, you dont even realize what time it is! Ate, talked, drank and had an amazing time. When our server brought our bill, she said not to rush and we sure didnt. Time well spent and everything was on point! My mule was a tad strong, but after I mixed it and let the ice melt a bit, it was fine.This is definitely an upper scale restaurant and would be great for business meetings, meet up with friends, family dinners or a hot date. Pricing is a bit high, but worth it for sure. Would be nice to watch the sunset over dinner. If you park in the lot, valet is a cheap $6 but I just parked myself since we didnt see anyone at the front. As I got out, the valet guy walked up to me so we just paid him right there. Highly recommend if youre feeling adventurous and want a change of pace from the everyday restaurant. Will return again!
The Hamburger and the BLT were very good. Basket of fries were very good and crunchy. The waitress could have been a bit more attentive .....I wont post her name maybe she was having a bad day.....I am a very good tipper when it comes to service . Maybe I got the bad one😕. I will return to see how my next visit goes.
Love this place, it has a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff! I only had the veggie patties within the burger and they are great! And you have a great side of huge and crispy onion rings or savory and endless fries! Its suitable for vegetarian or vegan as you can always ask to exclude the cheese from the burger. Its easy to park there and If they are full you can wait in the bar area that is very nice too! Totally going back!
I go with my wife to this great spot many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to have a bite. I go to this spot at least once a month. The cooking is just great, the staff is courteous and the price is fair. I like meeting in this restaurant to have a nice lunch.
I adore this restaurant! They provide marvelous dishes, they have a rich menu, The chef in that restaurant is well trained, I enjoy a lot eating all their dishes. The food is consistently of high class, the service towards the clients is efficient. I go often to this place and I not even once was disappointed. I highly recommend it.
We love coming to Islands every year when we visit Venice Beach. The food is always good, and usually service is equally amazing. Today, the food was still amazing but our server left a bit to be desired. It was 4pm on a Monday, so it wasnt busy, she didnt smile, and got a few details on the order incorrect. I always tip 20%, and this is the one time I felt like we were intruding on a servers time, and came close to tipping less. Ive never hesitated to tip 20%, until today. I know not everyday is a good day, but at work, you fake it and make that experience new for everyone, like it was their first time. Some individuals are not suited for serving, because it requires attention to detail and public interaction. She didnt even say goodbye as we exited and the only time she smiled was when she was speaking with the host in the front, who held the door open. He was very welcoming when we came in and equally as cordial when we left. We will be back, but we wont have the same server!
The good was really great all around. All four of our meals were high quality. There only downside was the service. It felt kind of rushed and impersonal. It took us a while to get our orders and when we asked to have our waters topped off she came back with one extra glass of water. A bit disappointing considering the excellent service Ive had at other locations.
This was quite refreshing, a good burger with a variety flavor options, at a fair price... The plain fries had a good flavor, but slightly cold. The sweet potato fries were slightly disappointing could and use a special sauce to compliment them.. Service was ok, we were placed behind the bar in a booth seating and seemed to be forgotten about at times... They seemed to have split the servers in a secluded area which would make the waiters job difficult to stay on top of.
This is surely one of the best place to eat in the area. Every time I come there I am truly happy. They always keep their very high standard service and the highest level of food they give. You can never go wrong with this place. Very recommended.
Everything about this place is terrible. From the customer service to the quality of food, just garbage. Hostess and waitress are not in a hurry to help customers, they’re unorganized. The waitress took our drink order and returned without our drink, stated she was being sent home and someone else is now going to take over. Kept passing our table up to give our drinks and food to a diff table. Gave us our basket of fries 10 min before serving our burgers, once burgers arrive first bite they fall apart and had to eat with a fork and knife. Total waste of $55, never again!
Consistently good food--burgers, salads, tacos. Their tortilla soup is the best Ive ever had, and their fish tacos and buffalo wings are fantastic! At busy times the service can be slow, but otherwise this is one of our favorite places for a casual dinner.

IF you want unlimited fries and a great burger. This place has them. The appetizers are actually very good. They have a sample plate type which has a variety of things on it which pretty much makes it a meal. The margaritas blended are a must have!!! Thats one reason I love coming here. The wings are really good as well. This location has a lot of parking so you will always find one. The booths are very big as far as room so you never feel squished. Very chill, relax type of place.
Tasty food and a good selection of beers. The whole family enjoys eating at this place, kids included. The endless fries are a nice touch. Only thing I dont like is that without fail they always try to seat us at the crappiest booth right by the entrance every single time, but we always decline and they seat us somewhere else.
Good food, but somewhat disjointed and the prices for the add-ons are absurd. I mean, an extra 1.50 for cheese? And thats already on top of a 15 dollar burger. The taste is pretty good, but they go a bit heavy on mustard. They also straight up forgot my add-on egg. Luckily, they were nice enough to only forget to bring it out once and after the burger was free as they were sorry. Great customer service, but not so good execution. The food is pretty alright though.
Still my all time favorite burger place! You can now upgrade your fries to cheese fries. They have alternatives for meat patties for my veggie people! Grab a lava flow, tortilla soup, and some cheddar fries and call it a night!
This location has always provided great service. During this current pandemic, they are doing their best to continue that standard of service. Margaritas to go in a giant juice pouch is a huge plus.
An extensive selection of burgers, including a decent turkey burger, and Mexican-ish food. A Chinese chicken salad is available for those wanting lighter fare. An order of fries is enormous, so best to share. The ambiance is Hawaiian Island / Beach. The place is very noisy, but it has free parking - a rarity so close to the beach. You probably wont be thrilled, but neither will you wont be horrified.
I sent my friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I go to this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The the cooking is delicious and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a cheerful time. highly recommended.
This place is so awesome. I dine here every time I come to the pier. The staff is always friendly, quick to get you drinks, appetizers while I am waiting (not long) for my entree. The burgers are always to my liking and the all you can eat fries are definitely a plus. I highly recommend checking this place out when you get the chance.
Islands is open again for outdoor dining with social distancing. The good news is they have kept Happy Hour! Three sliders for the Happy Hour price of @ $6.00.
AMAZING! Loved the food, service, and atmosphere. We didnt have to wait at all for our seats (we didnt even reserve). The food was fantastic! We all got burgers and they were fabulous, kids menu is great, classified into ages and fabulous food options. The milkshakes were FABULOUS and we enjoyed them a lot. Service was great, quick, and friendly. Also the booths were comfy and enjoyable.Overall amazing and would definitly come here again!!!
Good fresh food at a comparable price. This location was a bit overwhelm at the time we were there but they pulled it together n gave us good service. If u love french fries there all u can eat fries r a must. The hamburgers r awesome n any of them can be made into turkey burgers as well.
A surprise!. Always thought of this place as a burger bar. Last night in LA we decided to walk there from our rental in Venice Beach. My veggie tacos were excellent. And after higher-end over- seasoned restaurants, very welcome! My husbands fish dish got lost in the kitchen but when it came out a bit late it was perfect and also not over seasoned. The manager took the fish off the bill even though she did not have to. Service was excellent too.
This Islands location certainly did not appear as clean as many of the other Islands locations where I have dined before. The servers were around when we wanted attention but the vibe was a little TOO informal - - know what I mean Bro?
Black pepper encrusted burger with jalapeno cheese and deep fried onions delectable, crispy fries perfect, gigantic bowls of chicken tortilla cheese topped soup hearty and delicious. Service friendly and competent. Highly recommended. Wish I had visited long ago.
When I walked in, there was no host to greet me. One of the customers had to point me in the direction of the take-out counter. I was patiently waiting at the take-out counter for about 5 minutes and nobody had asked me if I needed help, so I asked a waitress if someone could help me with my order. She said she would get someone. I waited ANOTHER 5 minutes and still no one. At this point I grew very impatient and had a bit of an attitude asking if ANYONE could please take my order !! Finally, someone came. They were straight to the point, didnt even look me in the eyes once. Just took my order and took my money. Also, I asked for well done, and she couldnt even get that right. Very, very, disappointing.
Got the Sleek Greek Salad which is delicious. Both orders of our fries were burnt. Also I ordered water with a lemon wedge and then had to ask 3 times for my lemon. 😒 Foods mediocre for the price honestly. $34.72 for a burger a salad and burnt fries.

The atmosphere was slightly entertaining however made us want to run far away. Happy hour was cheap but the guacamole was frozen. Drinks are strong! Bartender was busy and I think they make the drinks in back? Is that weird? Meh. Go across the street.
Yesterday was our first time we went to this fine restaurant. But It is absolutely not the last time. We enjoyed the evening very much with the efficient service, with the great dishes and wine and with the comfortable charge. We will no doubt come back again.

Terrible service. Hardly stopped by the table. Had to flag waiters for refills. Food came late. Condiments that was asked for never arrived. All in all I did not enjoy my time here, and neither did my family. Truly disappointing outing, especially during these times, and havent been out in months.

Islands has gone down Hill with the quality of their food. Their hamburgers used to be the best. But tonight, I wasnt able to take more than two bites without making a sick face. The hamburger was of some very off texture and no flavor (even with condiments). The meat does not seem to be fresh but rather some frozen cheap-brand patty.Very disappointed.
Always my go to place for lunch when Im in the Marina. Good food at a reasonable price. Staff is always friendly, place is clean, never have to wait long. Great burger as well as the Chicken quesadilla.
I highly recommend for Great service, fast and efficient, you wont wait too long to have your food. Theres a security attendant at the parking, theres a nice lady standing at the door, tasty, juicy, and savory burger, and also clean rest rooms. I hope you guys keep it smell fresh and clean for real. More power.
Islands has really great food. They always fix any little thing my table doesnt like. However, the time we have waited for a table or the waiter/ess to wait on us is not cool. They need more servers or people to at least refill drinks.
Slow service from the time we walked in the door. No one helped us. They just stood there. After asking a second time a guy came over and helped us but he was way under trained, didnt know how to ring us up. We requested twice for lettuce wrapped tacos instead of regular. He even went and asked if that was possible to do. Guess what. They gave us regular tacos. We asked for all the condiments on the side for one of the burgers. Nope, didnt happen. My burger was precooked, not good. My fries were old, cold and not good. Hey, but at least we paid top dollar for our food,ha. Wont see me there again. Sorry Islands

The parking is easy and accessible considering how close to the beach you are.The wait staff is friendly and attentive.The drinks were strong and the food was great!Reason for the 4 star: The Kailua (spelling?) Burger with the blackened pepper was very spicy, and I normally like spicy. I think it was too much pepper.The regular fries are bottomless, I need not say more. They are fresh every time. Best basket fries in the area.The sweet potato fries, though not bottomless, are just as good as the regular fries.The drinks we ordered were a mai thai and a long island ice tea.
By far the best service Ive received out here, and pretty great food. Definitely worth going to if youre in the mood for a burger. Was also pleasantly surprised that they had a wheat bun option for their burgers.
A week ago I came with a friend. We had terrible service. The food was good. Unfortunately his got the wrong order and we had to wait to get correct one. Then it was frustrating waiting to get a second drink.Today I ordered from one person, received drink from a second person and received sandwich from a third person (which wasnt what I ordered). Does this sound like a problem?

I love this burger joint. Only been twice but the burgers have always been great and the fries are amazing and bottomless. If you are visiting its an easy walk from the pier and worth the trip.

I have been coming to Islands for over 20 years, and it probably is time for a review. Great spot on Washington Blv in Marina Del Rey, just a short walk from the beach.Islands has always been clean with great service, food, and drinks. Also has a great little bar with plenty of TVs showing Sports and surfing.We came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. I ordered a tasty Margarita on the Rocks, and my wife has the Passion Iced Tea. Usually I order the hamburger because they are very good, but I changed it up and ordered the Northshore Tacos. These have shredded spicy chicken, lettuce, and cheese inside. Very good.My wife has the China Coast Salad with Chicken which she really liked.Our server was super friendly and efficient. Coming by to check on us and our food, and keeping our water filled. Always a great spot to stop at when I come to LA.
$17.99 for a bland specialty burger and basic fries. Washington BLVD has no good burger near the beach. Not amazing and over priced for sure.

Quality consistent with other Islands locations. Same extensive menu, friendly staff, good drinks, taste and atmosphere. Lots of options to choose from and very accommodating to requests. It can get busy at this location and the parking lot sometimes gets packed
Love the burgers and fries and the margaritas are the bomb, so good. I feel food every time I come out. The servers are friendly and make sure you have everything you need.
Poor customer service. Asked for silverware.. got ..a.. fork (there were 2 of us). Asked for a kmife.. waitress dropped it as she approached the table.Didnt get to try food. Salad had no dressing, slaw was bone dry, and had to FIND a host to ask for dressing.Also.. we were seated near restrooms. The cleaning crew needs to do a better job. Not a pleasant scent.

I ordered the China Coast salad, and I was surprised at how delicious it was. The chicken was of good quality and the server had no problem substituting fried noodles for cucumbers. The only reason I gave four stars is that the service was slow, although the servers amd host were very friendly amd personable.

I love this beighborhoid haunt for burgers and fries! Great vibe and patio! Our girl was super sweet and helpful even though we had a couple of toddlers in toe.
Patrick was great at the bar. My girlfriend and I came here for a playoff game one sunday and after a young lady to our left regurgitated into her own plate of food, as nasty as it was, Patrick offered our tab on the house. How awesome is it of an establishment to offer something so great for something thats not their fault. Patrick is awesome and so is the management. If youre visiting Venice this place is recommended.
I was happily surprised you could switch from beef to a turkey burger without any cost. Bottomless sodas was nice too. I didnt try the beer selection but it seemed decent. I heard something about free refill of fries as well, but I was full after my meal so I skipped it.

I was shocked just how bad this Islands is. First, the restaurant smells. We had 2 different burgers and a soup and salad. The burgers were inedible and, although we arrived half hour after opening, the fries were at least a day old, tiny broken bits and hard as rocks. The salad was uneventful and boring and the soup looked like vomit. I was a guest at lunch or I would have sent this slop back. I am just glad I ate very little of it as my stomach is concurring with this review.
This was the worst Islands I have ever visited. I ordered a “small fries”to go and waited inside the restaurant for over 15 minutes for some bottom of the basket cold fries. Future customers should be aware that the take service and food quality are sub par at the Marina Del Mar location.

Islands is good and always pretty consistent. On this visit, however, service was extremely slow, and cocktails were mostly ice. One order was incorrect and took a very long time to be replaced. After many years, not one of the better islands experiences.
The service was inconsistent and the food was just ok. Luckily we went for happy hour so the prices weren’t too bad. I sent back the Kahula pork sliders. The wings were the best part and they were just basic buffalo.

Waited 40 min for a Table and then 30 min for our Non- Alcoholic drinks. Once our food arrived which took a LONG time to get there was just the Bottom of the Basket for Fries( Barely Any). Very Disappointed
I had this weird soup,called maybe Tortilla or so.i loved it.My wife was also very happy with her Burger and Fries.Cocktails were also good.Very lovely,surfer place.
Sloppy Underwhelming BurgerMicro Thin Patty Zero Flavor . Cheese not even melted ... And it literally fell apart. Not good when the pineapple is thicker than the pattie. This place used to make great burgers. Today Fluff of yuckey soft lettuce over mayonnaise and too sloopy to even enjoy.
Ok food is average, we all know it... but hey 5 people and 3 young kids try to find a restaurant! well islands can accommodate, they have everything so they get an extra star , service is good, fast ..
I have been coming here for years and years. I used to live right down the street and came here a couple times a week. Now I live in AZ and come whenever I am in town. Still the same great food and good service. Cheddar Fries... Need I say more?
I love Islands because of their bottomless fries! I was looking for one nearby and lo and behold, here it was! Its also great because its next to the beach, so Id definitely recommend coming by at least once when you are hungry after a day at Venice Beach!
Terrible. Just no other words for this place. The service was slow. In fact she forgot about us and we had a table of 5. The bathrooms were beyond disgusting and the food was worth a 1 star rating. Find somewhere else to eat.
This is our number 1 location for comfort food. Burgers, fries, salad, soup, tacos, and chicken sandwiches. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. Just wish they would bring back the Cola Lime Ice they used to serve.
Grabbed some beers and watched a hockey game here at the bar. The beer selection is beyond your average Budweiser/Coors Light combo. They have some good local pours.Although we didnt order the food, the prices looked fair and portions were large from what we saw.
The food was good but the service was beyond horrible. I dont know what made our server so mad but he seemed to hate us from the minute we sat down. We ordered drinks and got then about 15 minutes later. If you come here sit at the bar at least you will get your drinks fast.

Love the spicy Kilauea burger. With extra well done fries and hot sauce mixed in the ketchup. Cool it off with a beer. They make great mojitos too.
The service was great. Only issue was portion size of the sweet potato fries. It was kind of small for a table order. Other than that, I would go back again.
Without all the other details they charged me 70 dollars for a 50 dollar meal, later found out they charged me items I did not ordered.

Food is never as good as other locations. Service: Ive never once come and been greeted by a host - they dont staff one! Tip: stand around looking confused, and an overburdened server will eventually point in a general direction for you to find your own table.
Absolute favorite place to go eat with the family. Food is delicious cooked your way and if there is something that you do not like they are more than happy to take it back also they will be happy to tell you how to get the best deals for your meal totally love it.

The first time I go eat at an Islands that is empty. It did not take long before we figured out why. As you walk inside there is a very foul smell that greets you. I am not sure if there is mold or if there was a toilet that overflowed?

Walked in, and then walked right out. Disgusting. Smells like musty moldy air. Overbearing cleaning products. Bathrooms smell like complete urine and it lingers into the dining area. Say the kitchen and behind the bar and it was so gross, the floors a mess. Would never eat here, fear of getting sick, which is why I walked right out.

Venice beach California...this is another expensive joint to catch a drink after being a at the beach. $10 a glass. Expensive doritos and salsa...Nothing fancy but satisfying. Slow service. Slow drink delivery. Slow to take orders.
Its Islands so what can you say? I like that they have ample parking and their bar area is large so if you go for happy hour, its usually easy to find a seat. The music is a little loud.
Burger was good, With only 5 people in the restaurant, the service was only mediocre and as with all restaurants I suppose in our new world, they were missing food that is on there custom menu!

We like this Islands a lot. Conveniently close to the Venice Pier. We love ordering the protein burger & grill chicken dish and all you can eat tortilla soup.

Goodish burger, not the best. Service was good but it was really busy and there is not a comfortable place to wait, you feel in the way.

Decent burgers, overall ok burger joint. This one has free available parking which makes this Islands out of the two that I have been to in LA the better one.
We were seated quickly and enjoyed a nice meal.

2018-04-22The service is excellent. Food was fresh. Our server took special care on a busy Friday evening. Deserves 3 stars, all for it service and food quality.However, I was charged over what I had ordered. The menu stated that the cheese is included but cheese was charged as an extra on the Fish sandwich. Besides, I ordered only onion rings, but was served crispy red onions as well and charged for something that I never ordered.The chocolate lava dessert was served with crushed peanuts instead of crushed almonds.😒

2019-09-14Ate lunch at this Islands, located in Marina Del Ray and had a great time. The restaurant decor and ambiance was very festive. We ordered Chips amd Salsa as a Starter, and serving size very generous (see photo attached). We both ordered water and the glasses were fairly large ( some restaurants serve water in small glasses, which drives me crazy) I ordered the quesadilla off the Appetizer Menu and my husband got a Greek Salad ( see photos attached) All of the food was delicious. We decided to splurge and shared a dessert called Chocolate Lava- So Yummy! The parking lot is easily accessible from Washington Boulevard. Our Server was Mario, and he was fantastic, providing wery efficient service. The restaurant has free Wifi as well.

2021-10-12I have been wanting to go for 2months but things came up. Finally get there YESSSSSSS. The service was great, Sebastian was our Server and he was Excellent! My burger was bloody, gross, my daughters burger was soaked with ranch dressing. The Manger was condescending. So my 3 Stars are for Sebastian, Onion Rings and Fries.

2019-06-09So they call this a Cole Slaw, it is terrible!!!!Then you can taste the old oil on the fries and the fish tacos!!! :( terrible for the price!And the restrooms wow super terrible!Go to other place to eat! You will save money and you will enjoy it better!
