Inspiration point, the name says it all. Its free to park on the street. However, it can get crowded and the streets are very narrow. I suggest that if youre interested in visiting this small little Vista, that you get here early like an hour or so before the sun sets. I was fortunate that the clouds and recent weather created the amazing sunset I captured this day. I recently lost a beloved furry family member and I went to go be at peace and capture the beautiful light that was blessed on me this wonderful evening. Enjoy!
Always a good time here. Kids find all kinds of critters. Make sure to plan ahead and go during a low tide for obvious reasons. Sea hares, octopi, starfish, hermit crabs, brittle stars, nudibranchs, crabs, lobster, abalone, various fish...so much stuff to see, just dont take anything...its a marine protected area.
Awesome views with a nice place to relax and take in the beauty.Park on the street for free if you can find a spot as it can get pretty busy at times. The paved trail to the beach below is very steep. If you dont want to walk down the steep path but want to go to the beach below, you can park at beach level although it will cost you.
Another excellent viewpoint in this million-dollar neighborhood in this part of Newport Beach. Best part is, there is easy public access but parking can be a challenge so be respectful when parking in the neighborhood. If you want to stay longer, I recommend go to nearby Corona Del Mar where there is ample parking.
Leisurely walkway with beautiful custom homes high on the cliff on one side and 180 degree ocean views. A walkway from Inspiration Point leads down to a tourist lookout and view. Futher walk down leads to the shores. Plenty of sidewalks to stroll and enjoy the ocean view from high up. Park on street or park in lot by driving further down and thus much closer to the shore. Only spent 30 minutes here today on a beautiful Sunday but could easily have enjoyed more.
Love this place, great to clear your mind, awesome sunsets, great for pictures, always looks clean, sometimes you get to see dolphins and seals in the water. Kid friendly, great finger food at the little restaurant on shore, Bonfires at night are amazing. Just an overall great spot.
GREAT!This is an awesome beach by the fabulous beach city. Full of life & color with parks, volleyball courts, great scenic view & most of all clean kept restrooms. Good security team. This trip was our first time but for sure not the last for my family. We had great time. Great parkings & kids friendly environment. Good for boating, swimming, paragliding and many more. Also, very good spot for photographers. This place become one of my fams fav🥰
Very nice place .. beautiful succulent garden, views are priceless, excelent atmosphere. Impressive we forgot our bag and we found out an hour and a half later and the bag still at the same place some patrons were around waiting to report to authorities... many places still safe!!! Love it !!
Wow what a beautiful place any time of day. Evening sunsets and low tide walk on the beach was fantastic. Great tide pools. Great paved paths down to the beach. Parking is free of you can find any. You literally have to park in front of peoples houses and walk further to the path that goes to the beach then that path is long. There are actually 2 great spots 300 yards apart that have paths down to the beach. But parking is difficult. That beach at low tide is so fun to walk across rocks and look in tide pools though you just have to figure out where to leave your car.
Beautiful spot! The hill is pretty steep, so tread carefully, especially those who may have bad legs or anything. The walk back up is pretty daunting for those of us not in the best shape of our lives. Lol it goes all the way down to the beach, and the lookout point is about halfway down. There are benches to sit and just take in the view and sounds of the ocean. Very tranquil. The homes along the cliffs are beautiful. There is a neat seal statue on the rocks below. It was a fun little surprise to see.
Beautiful place to go chill and clear your mind, to sit with nature and yourself. And this is for sure one of the most beautiful places in OC that I have been thus far I tried to bring as many people that I love here who are no need to connect with their selves in a much deeper level.
I love this getaway... I recommend being here for sunsets. It doesnt matter if you go alone the views are just heavenly. I could spend and have spend the entire day here, from looking at the tide-pools to just spending the day swiming and sun bathing. I love how its never crowed like other beaches..., plus they have awsome caves and great points to dive into the ocean. *I strongly recommend bringing some sort of swimming shoes or anything to cover your feet from the beach rocks, I tried sandals but ended up losing one😞....anyway, have lots of fun and enjoy the views.
Gorgeous quaint little beach. Stunning views, stunning homes, and a perfect spot for pictures and family fun in the sand. We went without any swim gear twice and still had a great time. We drew on the sand and explored the life that is found in the rocks. Very tranquile - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
What do you expect when you are looking at a sun setting in the sea from high elevation? Good views. Technically, sun gets behind a small piece of land in the horizon. Views are good, nonetheless. There are few sitting arrangements. You may take your portable chair, if you want
I was in LA for the week for a customer project. LA is always a great city of mine to visit and it would seem like Ive seen it all. However, I was able to find this attraction on the suggestion of my customer, and what an amazing way to end the week, not much people on a friday afternoon (keep in mind it was early December), but the views were enchanting and parking is easy to find and free. Definitely a good destination to visit if around the corona del mar area
The beach was extremely well kept. I didnt spend as much time nor take as many pictures as I wanted. Theres a great variety of beach volleyball courts to places to do yoga. There were even people jumping in the water. I love the idea of leaving the beach how it is allowing to enjoy the natural habitat.
Park up in the neighborhoods and walk down to the beaches and marinas. Its the end of June and Corona Del Mar is glutted with bodies making it not worth the price of admission IMHO. The view of the harbor and beach from Vantage and Inspiration Point is nice. In the small park above the beach you can stake a claim to a grassy spot in the shade. There may be some folks singing about the value of Jesus blood while you watch the dog walkers and social media shutterflys... But a diligent search can turn peaceful bits too. Its a pleasant walk for a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Gorgeous view of the ocean that never seems too crowded. I came hear for breakfast at 9am and quickly found a parking spot. Plenty of benches to sit on too, though no tables if youre planning on bringing a large group. Lots of wildlife nearby, especially birds that will fly pretty close. I even saw a mother sparrow and fledgling! The fresh breeze is always a relief as well, especially on a warm day. Bring a meal and enjoy a beautiful view.
Its a really nice place to visit alone or with the family all together for its safe clean and also a very beautiful place .plus u could go down the steps and see everything up close and personal play in the water if u have kids u could take them down to play with or on The rocks ur able to see crabs and little fish swimming around in the edge because of the water that gets trapped in the middle of all those rocks . Check it out!! 😊
Beautiful. Serene. Went around midnight. Listeners to the bell on the buoy. Heard a seal harping in the distance. Listened to the waves crash against the rocks near the shore. Several bunnies hopped around as we sat. I took photos of sparkles of light from the moons reflection dancing on the water. The were several other people wandering around and chatting. It was peaceful, and rejuvenating. Just what I needed to get through the next work week.
We arrived to Inspiration Point like one hour before the sunset, weather and view were incredible and breathtaking to see the ocean, rocks and houses on the edge of the rocks. Loved the place and view. We had such amazing time. Be careful for the walk down and up on the cliff it was an exercise. If you have a knew problem or tired it might be challenging
This is my favorite beach in the area. The neighborhood is amazing and all the views at the beach. Inspiration point its a great place to take pictures, as a matter of fact I saw people taking graduation pics and others for portfolio purposes. The parking per day is $20 hourly is about $6. There are not too many places to buy food so bring your own stuff.
Great overlook of Newport harbor, the beach and some spectacular ocean scenery as well as a nice easy walk. There are also a lot of spectacular houses to eyeball situated on both sides. Parking is free but maybe limited on weekends, lots of people enjoying it leisurely stroll, exercising or walking their dogs through the scenic area. Or just find a comfortable seat and enjoy the view. The location is suitable for epic coastal viewing anytime of the year.
Awesome view from a cliff and nice sandy beach below. Havent been to the end of the pier or whatever that structure is that go far out into the ocean, but definitely plannig to do so in the next few days! Nice place for a walk, saw some people with dogs and others doing yoga.
Even on a drizzly, windy day, this place was fantastic. Friendly people at the visitor center, easy to follow trails, not too physically exhausting. The views are amazing but the wildflowers and birds are also pretty gorgeous. There was plenty of parking when we visited, but it was a grey day so maybe on busy days they might not have enough parking.

2022-04-18Extremely pleasant, peaceful, safe, & FREE! Walk is gorgeous. Also people seem nice & most importantly everyone minds their own business. If you get lucky, u might be able to see a sail boat leaving the Dock⛵️

2022-04-24Really beautiful spot. Can go down to the beach from there but this whole area is pretty steep. Lots of people around sunset, but worth it.

2022-01-27Came here on a Thursday morning with a friend. Parked at Lookout Point. Walked along Ocean to Inspiration Point, then down the ramp to Carona Del Mar Beach. Walked the beach, then climbed the 100+ stairs back up to Ocean. Great loop with amazing views.

2022-03-10Dramatic and beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. If you go there, I suggest you visit the cristal cove national park nearby.

2021-07-19Beautiful beach. However, very very crowded on weekends. And the parking is very difficult unless you arrive really early. The water was nice, but if you want to body surf or body board, stay North. The South end has a lot of rocks. Also, if you park in the street be prepared to do a lot of walking!
