Items ordered: Burnt garlic fried rice, Chinese bhel, spicy baby corn ManchurianThe food was excellent but a bit pricey.Chinese bhel is crispy and nice.Edit - Tried these items during my second visit.1. Vegetable coins - very overpowering flavor2. American chop suey - A little sweet and it becomes soggy in no time. The waiter did warn us about this being sweet. We ordered it anyway :pHowever, the staff needs to be more polite and courteous. I saw a group of 4 people who came and sat right next to our table at 2:15pm. They were told to order in 5 min because the kitchen was closing soon. They did place the order by then. After the waiter takes the other and goes to the kitchen, probably the chef refused to accept that since the kitchen closes at 2:30pm. The waiter got back to let them know that they had to leave.
The ambience was really great as expected. ordered pan fried chilli fish in starter which was really great. In main course we ordered burned chilli garlic fried rice was greatAnother main course was red chicken thai curry.. they served it with plain rice.. It also tasted good..The taste is more like coconut milk present in it..The staffs were also good ,everything was served in proper time. We were three and the quantity was sufficient .You can ask them to change the spiciness level based on your taste..Also there’s parking space available right behind the restaurant..
I’ve been to many Inchins locations over the years, and my recent visit to the San Jose location was by far the worst experience I’ve had. The food itself was passable, but I’ve definitely had better Asian fusion food. The cocktails were really bad though (all 3 which we tried at the table), and the service was horrendous. We placed the drinks and food order all at once as it was late at night. The drinks took forever to arrive, we had finished dinner by the time it did. Even worse, the dessert was placed on the table before we received the drinks, and upon asking them to put it in the fridge and serve it later, they refused.I would definitely look at other options or locations rather than coming here.
This restaurant is one of the best for Indo-Chinese in Bay Area.We ordered Vegetarian - Gobi Manchurian dry, Thai Basil fried rice and Yellow curry( comes with a small portion of rice)And loved them all. Tell them ur level of spice and they make food accordingly. In pandemic it’s Togo and they pack food in lovely boxes. Their service is reliable.
I have seen many mixed reviews of this chain. But it is according to me the best info Chinese place in the Bay Area.We love their chilli garlic noodles and pan fried chili paneer and pan fried chili fish. They are out all time favorite. The staff is not as friendly and are often overwhelmed due to the volume of orders. But the food makes up for it.
I dont know what they put in their food but got an allergic reaction. The chilli baby corn was very hard and tasted stale. Even though we complained and barely touched some of the dishes, they didnt even bother to be apologetic nor offer to remove the item from the bill. Definitely not coming back here.
We ordered Hot and Sour soup, chicken spring rolls, chilli chicken, burnt garlic fried rice and street style noodles. The soup was good, just needed a bit of vinegar which we added. The rest of the food was good, but not great! The service was quick and friendly. However, the restaurant is a tad bit on the pricier side. I thought it should’ve/could’ve been a bit more reasonable. Overall, the experience was good and the food was nice and spicy.
Food is amazing here but management is horrible especially the front desk, Extremely rude and ill mannered. The table was dirty, sticky and we requested to change the table and she got irritated bu that. We had come to celebrate my wife’s birthday but it was a horrible experience. Save your money. You dont want to eat here & experience this.
Stay away from this location of inchin’s bamboo. I have eaten in other locations. Food was good in those locations. But in san jose, service was so bad. Food was terrible. schezwan fish is not good. Fish was smelly and sauce is bland, no taste. Real schezwan fish tastes amazing. But it was awful here. Other dishes chinese bhel and noodles i ordered very below ordinary. My experience was bad on top of wasting my money.
New location in new complex! Otherwise similar experience as in any other Inchin Bamboo. Samosa was really good. They didn’t have some of their popular items. Not sure if it was because it was a week day. There’s lots of retail parking inside the building so no need to park on the street.
I used to like this place but todays experience was totally horrible. Our waiter was extremely rude. He kept us hounding for payment and even after we paid he kept us hounding for signing the receipt. We were not even finished with the food. How can you behave like this with paying customers? Im not going back but the restaurant should train its waitstaff on how to behave properly with guests.
We came in at 9:20 and they say it’s closed. But on the door it says 10:00pm as closing time. When asked about the timings the waiter said we don’t follow the timings come tomorrow. I asked him to update the timing outside as it misguided people and he was very rude and arrogant and acted like do whatever you want this is how we work here.Worst experience ever. This guys made me write My first review on google.
Tried.. chicken 🍗 lolipop, chicken fry, fish 🐠 curry 🍛 with black bean and rice..chicken mutton and prawn 🍤 noodles 🍝 .. they forgot the dessert order of chocolate spring roll .. a fish was just heated. It might be different for different persons.. let’s seeThe service was very fast we arrived itself at the closing time and in just 15 mins we got it as it was closing ..Only an item was had to change but the rest was goodI’ve review was written to be helpful to you, the consumer and to also bring relevant information to the attention of the business in focus. Been here so many times since I lived in the apartment community right above it. It is an upscale Indo-Chinese restaurant which is so delicious. Some of my friends would disagree but the quality is much better than the older one in Sunnyvale. I usually order the latmai chicken, crispy baby corn, sweet corn soup, Thai green curry and Hakka/Singapore noodles. If you are looking for a unique desert go for the Darsan.
HORRIBLE!! I’m a pure vegetarian and I was served chicken in my food! I had double confirmed with the waitress!! I realized it after having few bites that the there are chicken pieces in my curry! VEGETARIANS DO NOT GO TO INCHIN S BAMBOO EVER!!! Please see attached pictures for the proof!!
Its always nice coming here and enjoying the lovely Indo-Chinese fusion food. Its how I used to like back in India. Ambience is good and service is great. Gets little crowded during lunch. Parking can be bit of a problem on road side but theres always parking inside the building for retail or store customers.
Worst customer service!Very rude staff and the staff kept staring us making it one of my most uncomfortable dine in experiences at this specific location of Inchin’s!Asked for a manager which was not present!Would highly not recommend this location but their SUNNYVALE location is amazing!
Went to this restaurant couple of months back and food is amazing and beat part is they are serving Halal meats. Ordered spicy Hakka noodles, pot stickers, chicken egg rolls, fried rice, veg tulips, chilli chicken.Chicken egg rolls were ok as they use minced chk, i would rather have it traditional style where pieces of chicken and with vegetables. Noodles and rice were the best. Very nice ambiance, but still little tight to sit down. Prices are bit high but i would say it’s worth it.
This place reminds a little of Indo Chinese food. My friend insisted me to go here as Im a great fan of Indo-chinese. We ordered roti with kurma, I can clearly say it was store bought one, it wasnt crispy and flaky ;( chilli garlic noodles is okay not that great, I liked how they had all the ingredients in it but not tasty, the final one was chilli chicken, my fav amongst the there.. I didnt find any perfect Indo Chinese food as of now in the bay area, until then I might go here..
We were craving for some tasty Chinese food. Their menu looked promising. We ordered steamed dumplings, chilli fish, chilli garlic noodles. Sounds tasty right??? Unfortunately it tasted very bad. Dumplings were stale, fish under seasoned with a soupy tasteless sauce and noodles were too oily. We lost appetite after two bites. Price is not worthy of the food quality.
Ordered fried rice and wings of heaven, through Uber Eats. The fried rice was bland and tasted more of ajinomoto and no sauce. There was lot of scrambled egg and chicken and no vegetables, contrary to the menu where a number of vegetables were mentioned. The wings of heaven has six pieces mentioned in the menu, but we received only four. It was spicy, and there was a striking flavor that I didn’t like much.
Why is there no cell reception here! Food was okay, but a bit pricey. I will say that the portion sizes are deceptively large. Also that everything tastes a little bit better after a long island ice tea. This place really has something good going for it. I just wish it was cheaper or better to justify the price.
Recently, I had went to this place to have a meal. I regret and I swear I would never and ever go to this place again in my life. One of the worst tasting foods I have ever had. I ordered hot and sour soup, fried rice and crispy chili baby corn. I can only rate them among very bad to worse. Soup tasted like a medicine (soy sauce), baby corn and fried rice were flavorless and unappetizing. Please avoid this restaurant at any cost.
Friday lunch with group of 5. Terrible service, once we placed the orders for drinks and appetizers, our server was never seen until it was time to pay the bill, then he was very quick. We were having to place orders for additional appetizers and entrees through people bringing us the food. The various appetizers were decent. My black pepper beef was quite bad, the sauce was just really weird.Parking is fairly easily available in the garage.
Food was good but not pure indo Chinese food. Loved chilly baby corn and noddles. Fried rice was ok. Service was really good so is ambience. Located in very upscale neighborhood. Bit pricey though. But we enjoyed the food and time out there. Was quick to be seated food also came pretty quick. Service was good as well. Nothing to complain.
Been here recently with my office colleagues.. upscale ambience, good Crowd, easy parking and great food... they have happy hours menu.. I would suggest you to give it a shot... some cocktails were great while others were ok... so if you are Hungary and Wana chill out with ur pals this can be a good option.
Indian and Chinese fusion food which goes well for folks who like mildly spicy food. Huge Indian population normally flocks to this place on most weekends. Service and ambience is pretty good. My most fav ones in non-vegan were spicy mustard fish, fish in chilly oil, Mongolian chicken under entrée. Chilli chicken and Drums of heaven under appetizers are worth a try. Vegan options like Vegetable tulips, lettuce wraps and vegetable coins (badly explained in the menu as dumplings but they are not dumplings) are pretty good. For momo lovers this is not the place coz you dont get the right sauce for the momos. Drink options both alcoholic and non alcoholic are good as well.
So here is the latest update.Inchin has changed their menu.We ordered chicken dumplings, sweet corn soup and chicken 65 fried rice. The soup was tasteless. The dumpings used to presentable and nice to eat. But according to their new menu they are served in a white plate with no sauce. They are dry, no taste and poor quality dumplings I ever had. (Earlier they were served in a long black tray with 3 small dishes or each dumpling with sauce)The rice was the only good thing I had tonight.Overall good ambience and but that does not matter if there is no good food.Would recommend you to ask what your going to be served before you order.
Inchins is right up our alley. We love Indo Chinese. We dont really have many good Indo Chinese restaurant options around. Inchins is so far the best we have had.Our absolute fav is the Vegetarian pan fried chili paneer. It is the right level of spice and it is soooo flavorful. We also loved the burnt garlic noodles.
Wish I could give them 0 stars. Recently Ive had the worst experience with Inchin Bamboos food. We had ordered Coin Manchurian with curry for a to-go. Since it was a to-go they gave the manchurian separate and the curry in a separate bowl. The coin manchurian had thin plastic like strings and we even found small bunch of strings in another one. Thank God they gave it separate else we wouldnt know. When we went to talk to them the manager was unavailable. To figure out how did this happen they were supposed to call us the next day. But the day passed and they didnt bother. After calling them later in the evening they denied that the kitchen has anything similar to what we found. To top it all, they didnt have the basic courtesy to even refund back our money.Good luck to folks ordering food from here in future.
I was turned around by 2 different locations, I arrived at the first location at 9 and they didnt have servers and the second one turned me down since they stopped taking people in at 9:30, the interesting thing is that I was there at 9:15.I wont be back at this restaurant ever.
Very very disappointed. I ordered delivery online using their website but they use Uber eats for delivery and the driver never delivered. I have been calling them for a month now asking for a refund. They keep giving excuses that they waiting to resolve the issue. I cant describe how frustrating it is to call them; last time they said they would email their corporate office and CC me and they never did. I urge everyone to never order online from this place. Their attitude shows they would probably not care for the quality of food. They take no responsibility. At this point I might as well consider my 80$ lost.
I ordered.Mix lo meinVeg fried rice.Egg drop soupWhite steamed riceSpring rollsOrange chicken.Spent about 75$ for this and let me tell you the size of the dishes is laughable. Ontop of that the price does not match the quality. This place seems to spend more time on their marketing and what kind of dishes to put the food in than the quality of food.Everything had a weird off taste to it like they cooked everything in 1 pan and forgot to add any seasoning. Im not one to order food and write a review about it but this place irritated me with their poor execution of a family dinner.I wont be coming again and I recommend you find another place. I could have spent 20$ at taco bell and fed more people and not complained about the taste.
I was there with a friend for lunch in the last week of December. Vegetarian selection was not great (both of us were vegetarians). I ordered red curry and my friend had Thai fried rice. Red curry quantity was more than sufficient but the fried rice was a small portion. The rice didnt have cashews or raisins. Also, we noticed that the sauce bottles were manufactured in Jun 2015, and expire in 18 months. They almost expired and they were still serving them.
We went to this restaurant to celebrate Father’s Day celebration. Food was decent but the major concern was they added 25% Tip for a party of 5. Usually the gratuity is added if the party is more than 6 but with 5 people the default gratuity added was 25% which is way too more.Below is the snippet I got it from google.Auto gratuity is when a restaurant automatically adds a gratuity charge to the bill of a party. Usually, this gratuity is equal to 18% of the bill and is only applied to parties of six or eight or more. Generally, a restaurant will print this policy on its menu to alert patrons before they receive their bill.
This chain is so popular for its indo Chinese food. They are consistent with their taste, and quality of food. I visited the SAN JOSE one but I heard SUNNYVALE location is far better. I am giving 3/5 because of few things. Firstly, they are so understaffed that one guy manages like 5 tables at once and is just very unorganized in taking orders in a timely manner. The order of food arrival was so weird. The starters came after we finished 70% of our main course. Also, the first dish that came to our table was just the rice with nothing else and after like 10 minutes the side for the rice was served to us. We did tell our server about how we could not even eat one of the starter, all he said was “it is what it is”, “we serve food in order of it being prepared”. He did not remove that from our bill and charged us anyway.I wondered if I had actually ordered any dessert and that would have come before everything LOL 😂 I was a HUGEEEE fan of their delicacies but I think this has just changed my mind about this place completely.
Order food online, do not dine in as the experience is terrible. The place was not crowded (50% maybe) but the waiter was ignoring the table until I raised a hand. Water was not served until I explicitly asked for it even though other tables were served with water right away. The food is good. There was no A/C and it was very stuffy. Covid is not over! It is absolutely not good for your health! Also some people were sick as I could tell. Sneezing, coughing. And there was no air circulation! Unacceptable at all!!!
Ordered Tom Yum soup which was nowhere close to it. More like tomatoes rasam. You guys should maintain proper timings. Google says you open at 12 when we entered the place it was about to start closing by 1:45. Very bad hospitality. Inchin’s had good reputation which is no more to be seen. Big disappointment.
They have messed up my home delivery order several times now. when theres a problem with delivery they point to uber eats, but i actually ordered from their website.. uber eats is nowhere in the picture for me. who do i call?tonight i placed an order at 530pm to be delivered by 630pm. i called them at 715pm after not getting any updates, but my order was still being prepared and they said the Uber eats driver was not locatable any more and couldnt commit if/when my order could be delivered. i dont blame Uber eats, they were probably there for pick up at 615pm based on the delivery time on the order. if you are backed up.. stop accepting orders. if you are getting delayed on an order uve accepted call the customer and let them know, instead of them having to call u 45mins after scheduled delivery time.EDIT: I thought more and have now raised my review from 1 star to 4 stars, because the food and service are generally good. But the above did happen and I hope the restaurant takes step to fix that. I plan to order from them again, but if this type of experience continues, I would reconsider my review again and probably stop ordering from them.
One of the worst food I ate at of the inchin bamboo garden. The Sunnyvale location has some standards and they follow it . I ordered chiken manchow soup , chicken Manchurian , fried rice and chicken 65 which is basic at any indo Chinese restaurant. The soup came out burnt and is not hot at all . The manchurian also was burnt and the pieces are like chewing leather and the fries rice was bland don’t know what I was eating . Upon all of this I waited for 15 min to get my order and everything was microwaved literally the bowl was hot the food was cold I called and explained them, they re heated it and gave the same very very disappointing . Wish I could give a 0 rating . Not going her again at all
Please avoid this place if you want to have a good experience. It is either due to labor shortage or they just stopped caring about customers in general. There is zero respect and they just want you to leave the place as soon as possible because they wont want to serve you.The hostesses does not know what is happening and the manager doesnt care to respond if you reach out for assistance.
Worst chinese I have ever had.Order shrimp burnt chilli garlic fried rice.It was so dry and shrimp had some smell in it, unhealthy and horrible. And some shrimp entree (butter garlic) looks like they put the whole bottle of vinegar into it and shrimp was overcooked as well.Yuckk
Worst among all locations in bay area. To the owner or Franchise owner this location inchins bamboo has degraded over quality tase and service. Sunnyvale location is 10 times better than this one. Either shutdown this place or bring it up to the standards just like other inchins bamboo locations. Me and my friends have triend multiple food items and everyone agree this location does not serve quality food items.
Best indo Chinese restaurant in San Jose. Food is very tasty and delicious. We ordered paneer, gold coin curry, burnt garlic rice and shrimp. Everything was really tasty especially burnt garlic fried rice. Spice level is optimum and overall a good balance. Recommend this place if you love indo Chinese food.
We went at around 2pm. They made us sit and didnt serve saying kit hen closing at 2:30 and they had no chefs to cook. They should make it clear in the open hours. Heavily disappointed with the management and service. Would not recommend this branch of inchins. Not worth going for th service.
I wish there is a zero star to give. You will get your drinks by the time you leave. By any chance, if you are here have the patience to ask at least 5 different people for one glass of water. I ordered heaven wings and pepper chicken both turned out worst. I hope I will never come back 🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️
This is very close to my home so it becomes our go to place, I do love their momos and garlic noodles , they are on list of our usual reorders , Every cold winter evening calls for their hot n sour chicken soup. ( Their chicken soup always helped me during flu ) . The pickup as well as dine in options are easily available.
We went to Inchin bamboo when they reopened dine in. We ordered soup, appetizer and main course and all of them were abyssmal. The soup was cold and extremely salty and we couldnot have more than one sip, when we got this to the hostess notice, she didnot believe at first and we had to convince her how salty it was and she just said I will let the chef know. She neither offered to replace the soup nor did she remove it from the cheque. We were more dissapointed with the service than the food and would never visit this location again.
Ive been to this restaurant several times and I am giving it to Stars based on the most recent experience that I had here. We arrived towards the latter end of the lunch day. Although the patronage had come down in volume it seems to take a very long time to provide us any real kind of service. This was not expected as lunch in the silicon valley is something that most establishments try to move you through quickly but they seemed very casual about our table in the sitting. The food itself is not bad by any means but also not particularly great. I dont think you would necessarily be dissatisfied with it but it does not have any memorable taste that sets it apart from similar Fair. They do have a good mixed drink list and the combinations are relatively full of character and tastes exactly like they sound. The atmosphere itself is modern with a full bar and is what I imagine the silicon valley restaurant would look and feel like. The restaurant would likely satisfy most casual business eaters but may not satisfy those of the foodie subculture as much. If youre looking for a food experience I dont think this is the place for you but it does offer decent food on a casual eating adventure with enough effort in the way of creativity to warrant a try.
I have been to Inchins Bamboo’s family restaurants around the bay and this one has got the worst service of all.First off - we were a group of nine arrived on time and reserved a table. They took 10 mins to figure out seating after confirming the table was reserved. Then I had to ask for water for 4 times literally. Our food has arrived but there’s no water nor our drinks. Apparently am drinking my coke after my meal.It gets better two of my colleagues ordered chicken fried rice and they never got those instead now they are eating a vegetable fried rice. With the delay they never bothered to re-order and wait for another 20 minutes.Overall food was good but, one of the worst service I have ever experienced.
I have been to Inchin`s twice before at the Downtown Sunnyvale location and was super impressed with the food and ambience. But, this experience was a complete 180 degree shift. I ordered an American Chopsuey, Drums of Heaven and Chilli Chicken. The chopsuey was soggy beyond belief so was the drums of heaven. The chilli chicken too forever to come out and was absolutely bland and watery. The sight of my server laughing while I was waiting for my food was even more pissing off.I understand that this was a new location and the staff still have to get used to the busy hours. Really disappointed !!!
Very bad service. Order is not delivered. When you call them, they will say its not their problem. Its the delivery service problem. Dont order food from there website. Use doordash or grubhub, or best option will be takeout. But just keep in mind that they wont refund you delivery charges, driver trip, online order fees. Food was good, so updated the rating overall.
Most of the dishes are really good but some are really bad. The ambience is good and the staff is very courteous. I think mostly noodles based dishes have been a disaster. Other than that, chicken and shrimp dishes with rice were a complete delight. Appetizers and drinks menu is also very good.
A beautiful place with authentic indo-chinese ambiance. The food is well presented and holds beautiful taste and flavors. The staff is super friendly, some may not smile but are very professional and warm. They have a good variety in the various sections of the menu. Their lemon ginger soda is amazing and refreshing. A must have. Their dishes kind of represent the various street foods but in an authentic and delicious way. An amazing place for family, friends and office gatherings.
Its real close to my apartment which is why we decided to go here. Ordered two chicken starters . And a soup. We had to return the soup since it wasnt warm enough. The servers are really sweet here and accommodating. But the quality of food can improve. The starters didnt seem to be fresh. Felt like it was made a day before and just reheated. For main course had garlic chicken stir fried noodles, which was good. The quantity was generous.
Their quality varies based on how much its crowded. Usually weekends is super crowded. They cant handle the orders, hence appetizer come after the entrees or all the entrees dont come on the table. The dumplings count were 8 now they reduced to 3 and the price is half of what it was before. Its pretty annoying to have 3 dumplings for the table. Food quality was not that great when its crowded. I would recommend to go on a weekday.
Very low level of service. Unresponsive wait staff. Takes a long time for them to get the food out.Food was pretty Good once it got out. But 1-hr+ wait time was unreasonable with no apologies or updates during the wait.Wont go back there unless really really need to.We drive now rather 45 minutes to San Carlos to get our Indo-Chinese fix.
Walked into the restaurant for a Sunday lunch, hostess had us seated in a bit and we ordered for the food and when the food arrived we were surprised as it was served cold. We asked for the manager to explain our plight only to get an expected nod for an answer from the waitress. We decided that it was best if we could speak to the manager, and he might have some response for us and we were told by the staff that he was out for delivery and wouldn’t be back atleast for an hour. As a last resort, we asked for a business card and again we were denied and we were told the staff weren’t authorized to give out phone numbers(which makes sense).Disappointed, hungry and frustrated we paid for our order and left hoping to hear back from the management. Would not recommend and hope the restaurant can address these issues.
I like this place. The food here is better than the food in Sunnyvale downtown. The lemonades and cocktails are good. Appetizers are good. The entrées are okayish. Service was bad, real bad. We told the waiters to take the entrées back as it was not good but they reacted awkwardly as if we were doing that for no reason. The entrées were so full in the plate that it was drooling out even if we moved it on the table.I have been to this place couple of times now (not by my choice :p) but the service is unpredictable. Sometimes its good, sometimes its horrible. Especially during rush hour in evening its bad. I wouldnt go there as my first choice bit of bad service doesnt bother you then good place for food and drinks.
Good food with generous portions. Similar to Chinese food that one gets in India. Liked the curry fried rice, veg coins and appetizers. The mango lemonade and coconut water goes good along with the meal. The food is a bit expensive and there can be wait times during peak hours. Wouldnt recommend this place for takeout though as they tend to botch your order more often than not
Unfortunate customer service experience. We, as a party of two were not accommodated arriving 30 minutes before closing on a Saturday night. The restaurant was not more than half empty but the reception denied dining. We mentioned we had our order set, so it would speed things up but that was no good. They were willing to provide the same items as to-go but not allowing to dine in. They should probably update their closing time if they are not to entertain anyone coming 30 minutes before closing as well.
We visited this place on a Friday afternoon. It was packed and although we were told that the wait time would be around 30mins, we were seated within 10mins. The server was very attentive and we loved her service. We ordered chicken 65 for the entree and kung pao lunch special and chilli garlic noodles. The chicken 65 was on point. Loved the mild flovor of the spices. The fried rice (with the lunch special) and the noodles were a little bland and lacked salt. Portions were sumptuous too. Overall we were happy with our lunch and would visit again.
This is the worst Inchins Bamboo Garden I have ever been to. Worthless servers and clueless manager make a horrible experience for the diners. They started with serving the main course first. Looked like they had no idea of the appetizers we ordered. After ordering again, we got the soup (after we have finished the main course) . But the worst is yet to come!!Since one of us was vegetarian, we ordered only veg food which included roti+dip. Although in the menu it is clearly written that dip is potato curry, when they served it we found a piece of chicken inside that dip. That followed by a stupid apology. What surprised us is that they still had the audacity to charge for everything. One of the worst experiences i would say.
Im still wondering how is this place still running. We ordered a to - go on a Thursday night and it was so bad. Chicken fried rice had no salt no taste and no chicken. The chili chicken was so bland and we ordered the masala soda for which we were charged $6.5 and the taste of which was not even worth a dollar. Just some sprite with added masala. Thats it. There wasnt any fizz in the drink. It just felt like sweet water and masala. Never coming back. I think Ill only go to the Sunnyvale branch hoping atleast they havent changed their dishes.
This location and the staff went above and beyond expectations to make our evening special. It was a memorable experience for the couple in our group celebrating their wedding anniversary! In the end, met the owner and then it was apparent why the staff was so exceptional!!
I came with my friends there at 11:50am. We found a table and ordered the food right after that. We got the food at 12:45pm after they say food is coming for 5 times. The hot and sour soup had raw cabbage which runed the taste. My hot garlic shrimp dish was so tiny that I got hungry at 4pm. I was charged 16 dollars for a long waiting, arrogant serving lunch with less food. Its extremely noisy that you cannot hear each other if you sit in a big table. They also messed up my friends order.I dont recommend you going there unless you like sitting in a noisy environment suffering from hunger for more than 45 mins with no explanation.
Probably one of the better places to serve those nostalgic Indo-Chinese flavors in terms of dining experience and service. Food quality is ok, not particularly awesome though. Friendly on budget as well. Overall a good place. 3 stars only for my personal taste of food quality and some weird spices in the food that makes my stomach uncomfortable after dining here.
Excellent. Never disappointed with the quality of food. The only restaurant in the Bay Area that we have visited 4 times in a month. Their street style chowmein is just like the ones I have relished on the streets in the Delhi. A must have, but not good for people who cannot handle spicy food.
I ordered a to-go at the counter. Food quality was really bad. I ordered chicken chilly and chicken dumplings (momo). Chicken chilly was tasteless. Onion and capsicum was undercooked and I had to fry it on the pan at home. Chicken dumpling box was soggy until I reached apartment and it’s only 5 mins drive from this place. Also, it was overpriced.Note: If you plan to go there thinking food would be like indian-chinese food in India, plz DON’T GO!I did the same mistake so warning others before going. cheers!
Loved the food but Im sure the food must be very high in salt content. Went their as part of a work-related event. They had a variety of food options and the price was very decent as well. Will recommend this place in terms of taste of the food. Definitely worth a revisit.
I liked this one more than the one in Evelyn, Sunnyvale. It is located on First street opposite Intel campus in Santa Clara. There is ample 2 hr parking available at the parking structure in the same shopping complex. The Indo-Chinese food here is varied and can be customized to individual food preference based on spice level and vegetarian/non-vegetarian. The average rate is $12 but the quantity served can easily satisfy 2 meals for one. There is really no waiting time here and walk-ins are good enough.
Had worst experience here, ordered drink at the start and got it while i am almost done with my food, who cares about a drink then, I personally felt food was average, and it would be great if people fills the water cups they were not filled even when we asked, i am okay with people forgetting because of busy, but as a customer I expect minimum things while i am paying more than fifteen bucks for a dish
Food is nice, mostly indo-chinese cuisine. Reasonable price and enough quantity. We were 15 people, and I could taste many items. It was a very busy afternoon, and they were fully packed, we had reservation so getting a table was not a issue, but the services were delayed. Overall good, you can give it a try.
Good ambience but food was worst. I ordered crispy chilly baby corn and street style chowmein. Taste was really bad for both. I couldnt eat more than 3 spoons of each 😆😆 if you are lover of street side chowmein/ halal noodles plz dont go to this place. It will destroy ur taste forever. For crispy chilly baby corn, I am not sure what sauce they used 😆😆 it smelled
Food was not that great. We ordered chicken tom kha soup.when they brought it there was no chicken or vegetable just spiced coconut milk.It had too many finely chopped dry lemon grass which kept coming for every sip. Next entree was cold. When we told the waiter to reheat, he outright said it cannot be done.So much for customer service being in a customer centric business. Never going to go back to this resturant and no recommendation
Pathetic!!!! You can choose better better and deserving options in Bay area.I urge all to please think twice before spending a penny here.Last week, we group of 4 people ordered crispy babycorn, Chinese bhel, chicken fried rice, chicken chilly, spicy chowmein noodles and a mango lassi. To start with, we got all the dishes served within 5 minutes!! Chicken Fried rice was bland and unflavored. Chowmein noodles were sooo mushy and sticky and tasted worst than a plain Maggie. Chilly chicken was undercooked and one of my friend had a severe stomachache the other day. Babycorn, Chinese bhel was ok. I seriously went wondering how on Earth can someone prepare these dishes within 5 minutes? They merely served complete leftovers to us as we came at around 15 minutes earlier to 10.30(closing time). Why did they just allow us to get in if they were running late to take the orders by serving us this kind of harmful food!!!! We spent a unworthy $80 here. Not at all worth the price. The food here nowhere resembles Indo-Chinese. Do they even know what it takes to serve such kind of food to people?????? I dont care much about the service as long as the food is good, but Manager here should better know the job.
DreadfulI took my manager and some co-workers to the new San Jose location. The food was terrible. The vegetarian hot and sour soup tasted of burnt mushrooms. The spicy lamb with garlic wasnt lamb, it was mutton - and the sauce had the consistency of glue (way too much corn starch) and an odd sweet and sour flavor. The egg roles were mushy and tasteless. My dining companions and I swore we would never return.
Updating based on my most recent experience with the place. The service here has become really pathetic, as noted by other reviews too. Here is my experience. Went there Sunday evening. First the order came very late. The chilly garlic noodles were too bland or too sweet, so we asked for some scheuzwan sauce - to which the first server said that we needed to order it separately. Another server came in and brought the sauce. Ok till now. Now the cheque. After asking for it, there was delay in every step. First they brought it late. Then no one came to pick it up and go swipe the card. Server didnt ask if we needed a box to take the almost full bowl of noodles. When we asked for it, he brought it but no bag, for which we had to ask again. Might as well have gone to a self serve restaurant, atleast there wouldnt be expectation of any sort of service.
A good place to try the fusion. It is not exactly Chinese or In Indian, it is what Chinese food evolved into after Indian twists. Among appetizers, the Chinese Bhel was okay, I expected it crunchier. The Vegetable Lotus is good to look at -good presentation. Chicken 65 is also good.Sichuan beef can be ordered with gravy or dry -I went with dry, friend ordered with gravy. Dry is way better in my opinion. The drinks menu is very nicely presented, didnt order from it. However, the pencil-notebook styled menu deserve a mention.
The food seems average, often good, although the starters are over-priced for what they are. The service is cold and unwelcoming - we really feel like we’ve inconvenienced the staff’s evening by showing up. It’s one of those restaurants where they don’t have to be good - the location means they’ll always get some customers. Been a few times now and always regretted not staying at home. Lesson learned - not going back.
1 star gone for quality of food. Every dish is high on sauces and too much soy in it.2nd star gone for customer service, the waiter wont look after ur needs unless u catch hold of them and ask.3rd star gone for automatically adding gratuity for a group of 5.California took out the rule of adding tip by default. We left every dish we ordered without eating it.
I had the pleasure of trying several things at Inchins including paneer65, which was phenomenal! However the feedback I received from other in my party said the yellow curry was off putting, the garlic chicken had far too much pepper, the chow mein was bland, and the stir fry tofu was average.I would’ve given three stars however the service was terrible. Wait staff seemed uninterested once they realized the gratuity was included in our bill regardless. Wouldn’t go back again, however I’m glad I have it a try.
I have been to San Ramon inchin before and I loved that place. I thought of trying here, but disappointed. Terrible food. Ordered Tom Yum soup, it was just a tomato water on top of mushroom. All other dishes were below average with no taste in it. I would go and try the San Jose branch of it, but wont come here again.
Very disappointing food service. Food doesnt taste good. If your group is bigger, this is not the right place because of their service. Only one person takes the order. One thing which I like is the fried vanilla ice cream which is really good. And the starters as well tastes good.
Inchin = indian Chinese, which is a culinary niche of its own. Whoever has had this cuisine in India knows what I am talking about. This is the same just transplanted to Silicon Valley to cater to the tens of thousands young Indian professionals working here. The food does not disappoint. The prices are acceptable by Silicon Valley standards. The service, if in doubt better than in India. It can get quite busy here.
I will give this zero stars if possible. I ordered veggie Hakka noodles for takeout and we received chicken Hakka noodles. I called the manager and he was apologetic so he refunded and accepted it as a mistake. We came to the restaurant with friends and expected that it was a one time mistake, we ordered veggie Hakka noodles and this time we received chow mein with chicken again. This is totally unacceptable. We have come to this place several times for the last couple of years. I haven’t seen such insanity. A restaurant that obviously won’t learn from its mistakes does not deserve any more patrons!
Its a pan asian place, and probably why no one dish met my expectations. We ordered various dishes, yellow thai curry, Malaysian roti canai, fried chicken. All these were below average. The munchow soup was really bad, tasted like some food curry and not soup at all.
The food was alright. Service was weird. Right after our drinks were brought, they brought our dessert and then they brought out the other items. There’s definitely some chefs who may know what they are doing, but there must be atleast 2 who are just winging it for sure. The roti for the roti kanai was nice but the curry for was so lemony, it was like lemon juice based, it was almost inedible. We also ordered the “fried” ice cream. The word “fried” is in quotes because I’m not sure it was ever fried. Maybe it was fried a week ago and placed on a plate and put in the freezer.Fried ice cream is supposed to have a warm crunchy exterior that opens to a cold scoop of ice cream that has begun to melt a small amount from the frying. But what we were given was a frozen solid (allegedly) once fried ice cream.I asked the waitress if there was a mistake, maybe someone put a to-be-fried ice cream on our plate and served it by accident. But rather than checking or asking she said “that’s how fried ice cream is here”.Fun.I mean, it’s not her fault. She doesn’t have to justify a mistake made by the kitchen by telling the customer that they don’t know what fried ice cream is. Idk. Kinda weird. The ambience was nice, menu looks like it has a lot of promising dishes. But management and servers need to have a talk about things.
We like the food here. Especially crispy baby corn, veg coins, hakka noodles. Dont forget to get their chocolate spring rolls. I think there is a difference between quantity served here and the Sunnyvale location. Sunnyvale location probably offers a more. However over a period of time they have reduced their quantity for the same price. Parking is available on streets or in the retail parking in the same building but around the street.
A disappointment in choosing this restaurant. We went by 9pm exactly, i thought that would be ok to go to order items and eat. There was not much crowd.but still the service was slow.and important thing is there is no information on kitchen closure.so we left with half filled stomach. Only gobi manchuria is good in mains.....other than that nothing to appreciate here and infact a very disappointing visit for me. Everyone of us were starving.
If you are VEGETARIAN than never try for this restaurant. We ordered the vegetarian food and they served non veg food. The more bullsheet is, when we draw their attention they took away all the dish with all the food with in the plate and not bothered for the new food. Instead of all the most shameless and disgusting thing that the manager even charged for the non vegetarian dish in the bill for which we are not responsible. Blatently they also charged the gratuity in the bill. Honestly no further word for such discreditable behaviour.
At the end of the day, restaurants are all about great food. The food in this restaurant is very very poor and for the price they charge, its atrocious. We ordered Singaporean rice noodles and Szechuan fried rice for take away, it was so bad that we ended up throwing it away. Stay away.
Worst experience! Had to wait literally 1 hour to get the pickup order, we ordered from the website but somehow they missed the order. We asked and waited there for the delivery and they had a very bad experience of managing the pickups. Then even after getting the order, items were missing. Wont order again.
Main reason for docking the stars was b/c:-- Server didnt tell us what the soup of the day was (so I was going to ask for the Hot & Sour soup b/c it was recommended by a friend, but the server came out with a veggie soup before we even ordered our meal)-- Food is awfully plain, I guess thats why youre supposed to use the sauces that they give you in the little wooden bottle holder.-- Our table had asked for pepper in the beginning and they presented it, but when we needed it later for our meal, we noticed it was gone so we had to ask for it again-- Got the Lamb Szechuan lunch special because I LOVE spicy and I saw that it had 2 asterisks that pointed to a note saying that the Szechuan option is very spicy. But it was SOOOO not...idk if youre supposed to ask for them to make it spicy, but the server didnt ask us how we wanted it.~~Parking: Street parking on First Street, but spots are limited. Theres additional parking inside under the apartments that are also covered.~~Service: Meh. The server was terrible, but everyone else that we had interacted with was good. Aside from the soup option, the server presented us with the check when we werent even done eating and its not like there was a line of people waiting to be seated. I just get annoyed when they give the check before you ask for it.~~Best Part: I think the manager is some guy roaming around checking up on the customers, which is good. They are also attentive to your water cup (where they come by and refill it if its running low)~~Worst Part: The server.~~Tip: Dont get the lunch menu option. I was told their dumplings are good, so I would recommend getting that or something else instead.~~Return: No (but thats just personal preference on taste)
I wish I can give negative stars. It feels like I am eating in Gujarat as everything was sweet. Who make szechuan rice sweet. Also If i compare the quantity with Fremont or San Jose branch it’s less. On top of that waiter has poor manners. Like I understand that if you know someone who has come for dining you don’t have to shout and ask them “jaldi jaldi bolo Kya chayiey”. Even the waiter and host where arguing in front of customers in Hindi. Didn’t expect this from this franchise.
Bad food, very bad food.Ordered Pan fried chilli fish appetizer, it was so salty that you cant eat even with rice, let alone as an appetizer. Rookie mistake adding soya sauce and salt both to the dish. Chef doesnt understand his/her food.Vegetable coins were burnt to the core, served with tasteless schezwan sauce . And an average veg hakka noodles.Only good thing is their bar. Good scotch collection.
To start with the receptionist was very indifferent. So starts off on wrong note. The person receiving the order too was kind of indifferent, wouldnt help with details of quantity etc. Then food was average. To top it all it didnt need music as we would repeatedly hear plates rumbling over and over again.
Tasty and spicy food lovers, your search ends here! My taste buds crave for spicy food. Was here twice and trust me, I loved all the items we ordered (I dont recommend szechwan panner though!). Try out chili garlic noodles. Most of the appetizers are really too good. Satisfactory and tasty food guarenteed is what I think.
Very rude and unprofessional behavior from the manager. His comments made us leave our meal in between and exit the restaurant. We ordered a dish which came out to be gravy dish and we were expecting to be dry. In accurate description on the menu along with very poor knowledge of the manager about them.
Very bad customer service. The server kept annoying us for every 5 min. The American chopsey tasted bad. She wanted us to order everything in the beginning and did not give us time to finish our starters. After súper annoyed we decided to get dessert some where else and we politely told her out concern . She did not bother and left the bill at our table and left.
The food tasted so BAD! Called for chicken chilly gravy & fried rice and it was awful. Save your money and your stomach!!!! The chicken seemed weird in texture or maybe it was just raw!! The rice was tasteless too!! Decent ambience but horrible food!! PLS IGNORE THAT ONE STAR!
Really appreciate the kindness of the owner and the staff, but was disappointed with mediocre quality food:I went with a group of my friends who were visiting the bay area. Since I had told them a lot(good) about Inchins (Sunnyvale), they really wanted to try. So I took them to San Jose Inchins since it was closer, and it was already getting late. I arrived at 9:45 pm on Sunday. Although the closing time was 10 pm, we were told that they are closed. However, upon insisting, the owner was kind enough to get us a table and we were told to give our entire order at once since the kitchen was to close. We ordered chilli garlic noodles, cauliflower manchurian, chilli chicken and hong kong chicken. We were very disappointed with the food. It was no where near to the amazing taste and quality of food which is served at the other branches of Inchins. It was a let down, especially because the place is expensive.
Horrible food and most unprofessional service. A couple next to us were asked to change tables while they were in the middle of having their desert so that the restaurant can accommodate a larger group and make a quick profit. They did not have the courtesy to wait for 5 min for the couple to complete their desert. On top of that they did not even consider waving off the desert price.
Have been here 3 times , loved the food each time ! Do try out the chilli garlic noodles and chilli garlic friend rice, manchow soup, sprouts salad, lettuce wraps and their Gobi and babycorn starters. All good ! They have a few outlets, I personally liked the one in rivermark plaza in santa clara. Better ambience and not too crowded.
The manager, Vishnu and the staff working there have no respect or responsibility towards their customers. Our online order said it was ready for pick up at 9 14 pm. We arrived and let the front person know several times - each time her response being - I dont know what happened, the manager will come and speak to you, we saw ppl arrive 30 mins after us and still get their order before us. The food finally came at 10pm and the managers response to us was - I dont know what happened!
This place offers really nice Indian Chinese food. This is newly opened branch of Sunnyvale Inchin Bamboo Garden. This is usually crowded place during lunch and dinner times. So try to reach there early. There is happy hour in evening on selected items.About food: Food very tasty. Noodles, rice, entries, appetizers everything is awesome. They offer Thai and pan Asian menu also. But I will suggest to try Indo-Chinese menu as it is there speciality. This is pricey restaurant but portion of food is also very good so order carefully.
So, my friend and I stopped here after work and had some drinks which was fine. However, the server had the audacity to take my cash payment with decent tip, pocketed it, and double charge my friend for both orders. Their offer? A measly gift card worth the very same amount. Thiefs...
The place is crowded on weekends.. ! And service drops during that period.. Had to wait for a long time to get a table. And nobody waited or checked on us, during the entire meal. Had to ask for the check through some other staff members and even then nobody comes to pick it up! Had to pay at the counter... The food is ok, but hardly worth the wait.

2022-01-17The food might be good here but the service is simply not worth it!We went on a weekday for lunch and they took more than 45 mins to get us our food. I had to leave because of a meeting and I asked my friends to get me takeout. They also added a gratuity because we were 5 people and I left after eating the entree.Talking about the food, the soup was bland, please dont try! However, the entrees and the main course were good. I liked the vegetable coins and street style chowmein.Wont be going here for dine-in.

2022-07-02This location is very convenient with lot of parking. But the hostess at the entrance is VERY Unfriendly. On a fine evening this place was almost empty and the hostess is soo loud her voice is echoing every where it was so annoying.Regardless of that we really like the food here.We are hesitant to go back because of the hostess but we go back for the food.

2022-04-09Ordered lost in Temple drink was finely smoked. They do customize drinks. Cuisine type is Indo Chinese so expect chilly and hotness which hits late in Taste.

2021-11-19The rating is for the food. The service is pathetic and I would rate negative if possible. The waitress do not even to care sympathetic for the mistake of their own. We waited an hour only to realise that waitress has never placed our order. Even after this blunder mistake the staff has no regrets whatsoever.

2021-09-11We had been to Inchin’s Bamboo for dinner. Initially we had manchow soup which was good but quantity was very less. Veg Momos was good no doubt. Then we had veg Chinese bhel which was sweet one, we didn’t expected this as Chinese bhel is kind of spicy due to schezwan sauce in it. Then lastly we had veg triple rice noodles which was ok but too spicy with lot of green chilies and red chili flakes. In dessert we had chocolate spring roll with vanilla which was truly awesome. In all except dessert, other dishes were average then the one I had before pandemic.
