This hotel has improved in recent months. Thanks to the amazing management of Anthony. Anthony is the most amazing person that myself and my team have encountered while on this property. Under his management, he has been able to address the concerns of our team. Anthony is the reason that my team continues to stay at this property. THANK YOU ANTHONY !! KEEP IT UP.
Their room keys are magnetic room keys that can be deactivated by cell phones or credit card. So be careful if you don’t want to lock yourself out while holding a drink, an iPhone, and trying to open the door. Also, there was a beep beep sound behind the TV throughout my first night…I believe I will continue to hear that beep beep sound playing in my room for my next two nights stay.
Very clean but they do not enforce guest mask wearing in common areas. Our extra pillows stored in the closet had make up on them. The food is decent but the eggs taste like nothing really. Good variety though. Cereal, instant pancakes, sausage, etc. Pool was under maintenance and not heated but open. Its decent.
First off I rarely write a great review. In life nothing is perfect but I have to say my stay at this location was everything we asked for and more. Very accommodating and friendly customer service. Front desk staff, housekeeping and other employees were all friendly and kind. Rooms were clean and comfortable beds and furniture. As a family we rarely travel but staying at this location felt like home. This site was recommended to us by a colleague and I am glad we made the decision to book. Rates are reasonable and we enjoyed our breakfast buffet that saved us money in the long run during our stay. Many amenities to choose from even though we didnt take advantage of most of them but the options seemed limitless. About a 45 min drive to San Francisco.
Positive: It was in a great location for us to get to all of our activities. Close to freeway access and shopping amenities. The hotel was clean and inviting. Negative: we are a family of six feet tall or taller people. The toilets were extremely low. It would have been nice to have the taller toilets in the room.
The staff was outstanding, going above and beyond to make sure my check in and stay were great. I travel regularly for work and stay at many places. i can honestly say that i will be willing to drive further in order to stay at this property again when the need arises. i have been to very few hotels where i felt so welcomed and comfortable
I would like to thank Antonios for his warm welcome and ongoing hospitality. We really enjoyed our one-night stay at this hotel. Everything about the hotel was top-notch: the room, the reception areas, the pool, the spa, and the breakfast. What really made it a memorable stay was the service and attention we received from Antonios. Absolutely first-rate. Thank you!
Rooms are OK. Bed was alright. Noise from traffic kept me awake, and the a/c fan nor the bathroom fan were able to drown it out. Shower was fine. They offer breakfast, but check dates closely on dairy before consuming (I had rotten milk), and dont expect to be wooed or happy about breakfast. Food is lacking in quality, but there is some selection, so you should be able to find something that works to get basic calories in you so you dont starve to death. Ask for a room on the non-freeway facing side, it may be better. Staff were nice enough.
I have stayed in a lot of Holiday Inn Express locations. This time I got upgraded to a superior king suite? I think thats what its called. This room is awesome. Living room area, separate bedroom and a balcony. The location is in a commercial area near my office so its very convenient for me. There are tons of food and shopping options within 5 miles or less. I would highly recommend for a business or personal stay.
I was in Fremont for a complicated surgery at the Fremont Kaiser, the hotel was in close proximity to the hospital which was a plus. The staff was very accommodating to my needs and even walked next to me for support upon my return from surgery to make sure I was safe getting to my room. That was very much appreciated. I will definitely stay at your hotel again, even in the pain from my surgery the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The whole experience was wonderful. The manager Debbie and morning desk person (Arile) maybe sorry I can’t remember her name were most gracious.
My first choice of hotel when I stay in Fremont region. Clean and comfortable spacious rooms. Consistent excellence in service from the staff from check-in to check-out and making you feel at home over all the years I have stayed here, highly recommend. Special recognition for all measures taken to make travel safe and comfortable during these times for their customers.
Stayed for 1 night, got a room with 2 king bed (usually I have seen hotels have rooms with 2 queen size bed or 1 king - room with 2 king bed was unusual to me) - still very spacious room. Hotel served free continental breakfast - they didn’t do carry-out/to-go boxes kind of breakfast which most of the hotels are doing in covid times; a good sign:).
Beautiful building, property and staff. Friendly, helpful and motivated. Everything was perfectly clean from lobby to room to pool area. I enjoyed the proximity to many restaurants and shops choices for walking about a 10 minute walk. It was close to where I went for work. About 30min back to airport. Ill be back for sure.
I am comparing this Holiday Inn Express with the Comfort in a few miles down the road. Aesthetics are more attended to here. The building appears newer or more recently renovated. The floors are flat with no oddities. The rooms are neat, light, modern and clean. The bathroom here compares wonderfully with that of the Comfort Inn. This Holiday Inn Express utilizes a roll shade and sun screen combo which is much more effective to block undesired external light as well as having a better appearance than the heavy curtain assembly of an older facility. If I set aside the things that separate this older to newer facility comparison, I can also reflect on two essentials (for me) which I depend on- breakfast and a plentiful supply of coffee. The Comfort Inn did not maintain a community coffee pot during the day. The options for coffee were the cheap-tasting coffee packets for my rooms coffee machine, which was not clean OR leave the hotel for a coffee shop. The Holiday Inn Express did have a community coffee pot and offered Keurig cups as desired for the in-room Keurig machine. Score! The breakfast offering at the Comfort Inn was prepackaged Jimmy Deans breakfast sandwiches. Thats okay if that is what you are into. However, the Holiday Inn Express offers eggs, bacon, turkey and pork sausages, multiple cereal options, yogurts, pancakes, waffles and, And, AND warmed cinnamon pastries! The price difference between the Comfort Inn and the Holiday Inn Express here in this area is a few dollars but in my opinion, well worth the upgrade. The only downside that I observed is that the hotel is very near a line of squatter campers and other homeless structures which may give some pause for the consideration of safety. However, the parking lot is well illuminated and clean. No worries (at least for me) that I was at risk due to the proximity of the homeless sheltering nearby.
The property was very well-managed and clean. Rooms were quite spacious. Coupled with the King-sized beds at the regular price, this was a solid deal! Also, while competition was serving take-out break-fast, we had filling hot breakfast at this hotel for the 2 mornings we were staying there.Special call-out for the lady and her help staff that served breakfast! They were constantly on their toes serving the varied demands of the multiple customers but all along they were serving with a sense of urgency and passion!Would definitely recommend!
All staff were super friendly and accommodating. stayed for 2 night with kids to enjoy the pool during break. Very organized breakfast parking all included ..little details available that were greatly appreciated. staff constantly cleaning and keeping everything clean and organized. property overall clean, comfortable, and hospitable. thanks guys for a great stay! definitely keep up the great work team! we will come back and noting this location. p.s this busy momma never writes reviews! team holiday inn express in fremont, ca you guys really deserve this one! ❤️
The only thing I didnt love isnt the fault of the hotel. Its a little loud because its next to a freeway and a recycling facility. Also they still are only doing housekeeping every 5 days. But they will provide any housekeeping if asked. Other thank those little/minor things our stay was great. We had breakfast there 3 out of the 6 mornings we were there and there was a great variety of satisfying delicious options. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly. It was a great hotel at a great price and centrally located in the Fremont/SJ area.
I booked in advance as I’m a member. Part business and personal. Staff is very friendly the room was quiet with good amenities. Breakfast and coffee was available as well as a good location with lots of food choices I plan on returning soon. I highly recommend this hotel I hope you enjoy it as much ad me and my girlfriend did.
Stayed here as a pitstop before my road trip and met up with friends around the area. Room was simple and had all the amenities. Didnt use the pool but saw it was being cleaned and families using it, which was a plus if I had another day. Felt safe parking my rental car and had no problem checking in or out
Poor service. As soon as we arrived to our room, we requested another one due to the noisy location. We were told someone would contact us the next morning when quieter locations would open up. Never happened. Housekeeping comes in once if you are staying for 5 days. No problem. Requested fresh towels daily. Never happened. Each day I to seek out fresh towels myself. The worst part was having my husband chase housekeeping down while I stood in the shower for 15 minutes waiting for soap because the shower gel dispenser which you cannot see through was empty. When I requested to speak to the “Hotel” manager to share my experience in hopes these issues could be handled on a broader scale (not requesting discount or refund), the sales manager who happened to answer the phone at the front desk refused. So, I do not have any reason to believe anything other than the poor service is just part of their culture.
Everything was so clean, and there was always somebody cleaning. Everyone I talked to seemed really happy and pleased. The food was really good and plenty of choices all complimentary. The room was spacious, and had a place to do office work. It even had a bathtub! The parking lot was incredibly lite up and I felt safe for my car and I. I really enjoyed the time there.
Very comfortable stay. Just drove in for the night. Saw all the good reviews and chose it. Clean room, nice and decent breakfast for pandemic. Good coffee in the room. Used a white noise machine as we were on the freeway side, but I am a light sleeper. Did not have time to use amenities.
HI Express always satisfactory! Staff was nice! Room was great except for weird lounge chair was more like a 2nd desk chair. The bathroom smelled like heavy smoke when we arrived, and there was still a used bar of soap in the shower. Front desk offered to move us, but we declined. No ice machine on 2nd floor. Pool was great! Location was very convenient.
First off, be aware that this hotel is next to the highway and its very noisy at night. Obviously thats not a reflection on the staff, but if you want a good nights sleep, this hotel isnt your best bet.Secondly, housekeeping will not clean your room unless you specifically ask. And no one told us we had to specifically ask to have our room cleaned -- we foolishly expected daily housekeeping services to be included in the price of the room. We returned to the hotel after a long day at a family funeral to find our room had not been cleaned. I asked the gentleman at the front desk why it had not been cleaned and he just sort of shrugged and said he would request housekeeping for the next day. I also asked him for some plastic cups, as ours were not refilled, and he said he didnt know where they were. The next morning housekeeping called the room (at 7:45 am) and informed me that they only clean the rooms every FIVE days, unless you specifically ask them to, and then you have to schedule a time for housekeeping to come.Besides not cleaning the rooms, the trashcans in the hallways were overflowing. Pizza boxes and the remains of fast food were left in the hallway.Breakfast was OK, but they dont have toast or English muffins or anything like that. Just wanted some tea and toast, but settled for yogurt.Overall, this hotel probably isnt your best option in the area.
I travel for business 6 months of the year and stay exclusively at IHG hotels because they are consistently a good value and have good service. This Holiday Inn Express was the worst IHG experience ever. Not to say I havent stayed at worse hotels just not any IHG that were worse. The location is abutting 880 (I knew this and it is not the issue) and surrounded by Industrial areanad on a street that is site of a homeless encampment. You will not be going for a stroll outside the compound if you are wise. Staff were not terrible but customer service was not their focus more like do the minimum required. My suggestion to potential guests, Dont Go. My suggestion to hotel--Give an honest description of the area where you are located. Take time to offer guests housekeeping at least once every couple of days. Offer amenities to card holders and other guests on arrival and during stay. I am talking about asking guests if they need items for their rooms like coffee, tea, towels, etc. not bonuses. Though my previous experience with IHG is that card members are offered choice of snack or the 500 points.
It was alright, just needed place to sleep overnight. Room was large, fitness room adequate, friendly staff, but property seemed a bit dated and theres only one ice machine on the ground floor. Breakfast selection was more limited than comparable Holiday Inns Ive recently visited.Biggest potential issues are noise from the nearby freeway to the east side and an electric buzzing in the room from above. Light sleepers may want to reconsider on at least request a room facing the west.
Very clean and welcoming place to stay. The breakfast was a favorite by all including the kids. They enjoyed watching the cool pancake machine work. The room was very spacious and clean. The business center computers were fast to use and WiFi was fast in the rooms. Biggest bonus was the heated pool and the jacuzzi being opened for use. Would highly recommend others to go here.
I was in town for business and got done with the event late was 3 hours away from home. This hotel was clean, customer service was great, rooms were nice, beds were comfortable, breakfast selection was good. Also was towing my trailer with my photobooth and it was safe in the parking lot. I will be staying here again in the future.
We stayed a week at the Holiday Inn Express while our contractors installed recessed lights throughout our house as well as painting the interior. We booked a suite and the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. Hotel is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants.
Ive been staying at IHG in Fremont for several months on and off while I install a battery line at Tesla. The staff here has been exceptional. Often we have packages sent to the hotel and the staffs assistance with this has been critical. Breakfast is the best it can be with COVID restrictions. I would especially compliment Patricia who always greets our team with fresh coffee and a wonderful smile. Jayleen and Ariana at the front desk also have been great to work with. Thank you to the staff at Holiday Inn Express Fremont for making a stay away from home bearable during these challenging times.
I stay at this hotel quite frequently when work sends me to the San Jose area. It is one of my favorites as the staff is very friendly and the rooms are always clean along with being very spacious. Even with the COVID-19 the staff did their best to make each stay relaxing and enjoyable. Breakfast is one of the best in the area with COVID as it still provides hot food verse grab and get lost go bag like other area Holiday Inn express.
I needed a good hotel for training that came available quickly. Holiday Inn is my go to and I was not disappointed. Staff is fantastic and super nice. They are always more than helpful. If I had one request, it would be to have some sanitizing wipes in the room. That would give the ultimate peace of mind. Planning on staying here in the future.
I have stayed here many times over the years some stays months long some days. I have always had good service from the staff but this last one was good enough to leave a review. The lobby and rooms were very clean the young lady that checked us in and helped us out a couple times was very polite and helpful. The breakfast was nothing super special but it was a hot breakfast that they would dish up for you as to not pass anything around. It’s not the closest hotel to my work location but It’s worth the extra few mins to stay in a nice place.
My room was supposed to have 2 king beds but it had 1 and staff didnt so anything to fix it. They charged us $15 a night for a roll away bed. Did not get room service, did not refill coffee in room. Toiletries in the shower did not work. Hotel right by the highway very noise. Staff is rude. Several other guests took advantage of the to go breakfast and took way too much food not leaving much for other guest and it wasnt refilled very quickly.
Absolutely nothing was pleasant about my stay here. Have stayed at this hotels other locations and had a pleasant time but this was by far the worst. The location was okay but the staff was uncontrollably rude and not helpful took over an hour and a half to get checked in at 3 am when I booked for a late check in. I would suggest a motel 6 over waisting my money here ever again. The water in our shower had the worst water pressure and was cold after 4 minutes. Stayed two nights and both nights vehicles in the parking lot were broken into and vandalized. I didn’t feel safe and they had a huge sign the second that you walk in demanding you wear a mask. Yes I get it covid is a big deal to some but others we don’t feel comfortable with a big sign like that in your face the second you walk in... very welcoming with your over sized sharpy written sign... my seven year old daughter could’ve put together a better and more welcoming sign. Again I do no and will not recommend this hotel to anyone I know.
Rooms are small. Since the hotel is at a traffic signal, be careful not to miss the entry to the underground hotel parking. Items in Complimentary breakfast either finished quickly or was not there. Had to fill a form per person to select items for the breakfast, which was awkward (possibly they did this for Covid).
This particular hotel has king size beds and they are super comfortable. Noise was minimal if any. It would be great if they had a barista and a variety of breakfast options with soft butter. When my family arrived our door was unlocked. I don’t know if it’s a courtesy, but if I’m responsible for what’s inside I’d prefer it closed. Also it would be nice if the staff was friendlier. Though I guess the chocolate chip cookies made up for it. It was a decent stay.
Very clean. Staff are very nice. Free breakfast is very delicious. Near the good restaurants and shopping center. Everything was perfect except that the rooms are not sound proof. At first, I got a room facing to the highway. It was very noisy. And then the front desk changed another room that facing to another side for me. The noisy from the highway decreased a lot, but I could hear the noisy from the upstairs. Unluckily my upstairs were very active so I was bothered until 2am.
Our stay at this hotel was the BEST. From arriving time to departure we were so comfortable that we wished we could have stayed longer. Staff were so welcoming. Our room was very clean and neatly organized it had everything we needed. The following day breakfast was great many choices. Kids loved the pancake machine! Biscuits and gravy Yes! We will be returning for a future stay.
Over the years Ive stayed at hotels approximately hundred nights out of the year this particular Hotel has exceptional receptionist managers and staff. The rooms are very clean the beds very comfortable the sheets and pillows are silky soft oh yeah! Now to the little things, I love Keurig coffee makers and they have them and here is a little thing they have kids for their coffee cups ( I am always on the run lids are a great help) the extra towels come in handy especially during this pandemic. ( less contact)y and of course who doesnt like the little flower designs with their towels and what is really nice is the simple check in the staff have everything ready for you in a folder to check in makes it very simple makes you feel like youre very welcomed
Positive: Hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Negative: Hotel is close to a small ¿skid row¿. Several vagrants walking in/near pkng lot & one attempted to enter a back door I opened. I closed it on him, & management was observing and quickly shut him out. Hotel is also very close to a busy/loud freeway.
Ive stayed at this location numerous times and the overall renovation of the property was successful. Two areas of concern that I had not faced before were noise and cleanliness of my room. My room faced the highway and it was extremely noisy which was a little disappointing. The main issue related to the cleaning staff - when I arrived I found debris and items left on the floor in the bathroom that had not been cleaned up. Later in the stay the cleaners did not vacuum, replace coffee of provide a full set of towels. While I did not complain, it continued over the stay and I never got a satisfactory answer as to why this happened.Feel free to stay here - great staff otherwise and easy on and off near the highway gets you to where you need to be. Hopefully this was just an isolated incident - overall the staff are very polite, friendly and efficient.
We only stayed one night but it was a nice stay. We had two king beds and the room was very spacious. I liked the shampoo/conditioner/shower gel dispensers in the shower. Beds were comfortable. One thing I did not like, however, was when I made the reservation for four people, we were charged extra for two people ($10 each) - that was a bit of a turnoff.
We were able to check in early (12;30) and spend the afternoon by the pool with snacks and Margaritas(which we bought with us). The water temp was great! The pools towels are SUPER small :( Pool is also on a main boulevard with Semis parked along the block and lots of traffic which interupts the quiet and ability to relax. No break(ie...tall bushes) between the pool and the busy street. The Shuttle to/from the Saddle Rack was a great perk! The Beds were comfy, pillows nice but too soft for my taste. Had issues with the room temp controls...could not get it to cool and it blew in short bursts through the night...so the room was hot ten cool then hot....also had late check out and hung at the pool again after a decent breakfast buffet. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Property was clean.
My stay here was great. My Wife and I loved the amenities in our room such as the stove top and sink in the kitchen. The flat screen TV, internet service, and outlets for regular plug ins and USB were a plus at how convenient they were established around the room. The bed, pillows, and comforters were super comfortable and the bathroom was In good condition with a very relaxing shower head. When it came to washing our clothes, we were grateful to have access to the washer and dryer, but it would be nice if they were cleaned more often in consideration of others using the machines after other people. Breakfast was a delight with the various food choices that were also healthy and tasty. We would come back again! Thanks for your services.
My room accommodations were fine as was the lobby staff. My problems started after returning home. My company was notified that we were being charged $150.00 to deep clean my room since I smoked in it. Kind of funny as I have never smoked a day in my life. I did notice the smell from a room close to mine as I always take the stairs for exercise. My mistake was not telling the front desk immediately. After proving my case they did reverse the charges. Maybe they should investigate before incriminate next time.
I literally don’t know why this is not a 5 star hotel! First of all, huge compliments to the staff, they are incredibly friendly and super helpful, just absolutely amazing! The beds are super comfortable and very cozy, I love the bedding on them, plus they have firm and soft pillows to choose from. The room, halls, and gathering areas are all very modern, very nice, and super clean. The complimentary breakfast is by far the best complimentary breakfast on the planet, tons of choices and lots of food for anybody’s taste preference! Also coffee for breakfast as well as in the rooms with a microwave and mini fridge! The only complaint I have for this hotel is that it’s noisy freeway traffic, however I am so impressed by everything else it’s not a big deal. Thank you for your fantastic hospitality!
This Holiday Inn Express was pretty overpriced, but unfortunately par for the course in the Bay Area. The parking situation is pretty horrendous. You will likely have about a 150-yard walk to get to the front entrance. The hotel has been recently renovated. The rooms were nicely updated, although my bathroom door was installed wrong so it quickly shuts every time you open it. Also, the vent blows right into the shower curtain so its clinging to you while you shower.Standard HIX complimentary breakfast. They had to-go bags, which is a nice touch. The workout room is very minimal but satisfactory. I didnt use the pool, but the outdoor pool/spa area looked pretty nice. All in all, its a clean hotel with pretty good location. If youre working in Fremont, youre going the opposite direction of traffic during busy hours. Thats a big plus.Id recommend the hotel for a business stay and will be here several more times over the next few months.
Hotel had modern decor, friendly staff, easy parking and great breakfast. Elevator was a bit slow but stairs were readily accessible. Good water pressure and amenities. Plenty of outlets for charging everything. Room facing the freeway was a bit noisy along with the room AC being very noisy too. Regardless everything else made up for the noise. Would definitely book again.
This hotel is very conveniently located and I will say that the bed is probably in the top 1% in terms of comfort. The equipment in the gym is top quality. There is ample parking and the price is reasonable. The breakfast served is excellent. I especially like the biscuits and gravy, They have a wide variety of cereals including oatmeal. They have pancakes, omelets, a variety of yogurts, juices, milk, coffee, cinnamon rolls, bagels, bread, coffee, who could ask for anything more. Very nice stay!!
I’ve had bad experience in staying this hotel before during their renovation period of time. However with my recent stay due to business trip in this hotel, I’ve had great experience. I find out that they are continue to enhance their service to meet the customer satisfaction. They actually start to provide delicious chocolate cookie to welcome IHG member which I haven’t yet seen in other Holiday Inn so far. It is true that their breakfast is tasteful as most other people mention in the review. Room is spacious and staff are friendly. I will continue to stay in this hotel for my business trip when visiting this area.
The to-go breakfast was from 6-10am. At 10am, my Grandson arrived and hadnt eaten. The staff went out of their way to get him a to-go breakfast. I had two kingsize beds in our ADA room. It was more than comfortable. Keurig coffee pot. Laundry room if needed. The fitness center was open. Location was industrial area, but I felt safe and it was quiet. I do recommend this hotel and location.
My family and I loved this place! We are definitely making frequenters visits here. The best part was the security police they had....pasta. Certain time the front door can only be opened by your key!! And that made us feel more safe and comfortable. We loved being able to eat there in the morning it just made our days start off right. The rooms are so specious and very comfortable to be in. The staff were supper friendly and easy to work with. Great place to stay at!!
The staff is very friendly and helpful! The hotel, room, bathroom and dinning area were very clean. The room and breakfast exceeded my expectations, especially for the price! I slept soundly on their comfy bed and pillows, and it was very quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here!
The room was clean and spacious when we arrived. It was not, however, cleaned the next morning. Because of COVID, we were supposed to contact the desk to request that our room be cleaned. Either the desk clerk did not mention it or because of the masks and Plexiglas my husband could not hear that information. Otherwise, the hotel stay was very pleasant.
Very comfortable hotel with the only problem being the racers on the Freeway next to the Hotel. There is special double glazing but unfortunately the racers do not care about customers in hotels; only the ability to make as much noise as possible. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Housekeeping provide a good service. The breakfast was Standard but was sufficient. I was surprised that nothing from plates, cups and cutlery are unable to be recycled. Very different in other places around the world.
They have been updating the facility for some time and it looks great. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. When the hotel is full, the parking is weird but you can always find a spot. Staff always great both in and out. Breakfast is typical Holiday Inn but hot and plentiful.
I understand that during the COVID-19 pandemic that services are limited. It was disappointing that all of the breakfast choices were sugared cereals, sweet yogurt and “chewy” bars. I am a diabetic and cannot eat the sugared foods offered. When I spoke to both the staff and the front desk, they both said that there were no other options. The pool was not functioning. The hot tub was not functioning. The fitness room was not functioning. There were no “USA TODAY” newspapers. I was not given the option to “go green” and decline room service during my extended stay (to gain points) rather, I received a note from the hotel half way through my stay telling me that they would no longer clean the room daily for extended stays. The shampoo in the shower was hard and dried up. I honestly felt like there were NO amenities but the price for the room was still higher than my quoted booked rate.
The room was much bigger than I expected it to be and the bed was so comfy - much, much comfier than the bed at the air bnb we stayed at when we were in SF. Staff was very nice and accommodating when we requested a room away from the freeway. The breakfast selection was really awesome, I wasn’t expecting to have that many choices, and everything was delicious. Would stay here again!
We were attending a party at the SaddleRack and found out about this great hotel. The rep at the counter when we checked in was professional and very helpful. The room looks to be newly remodeled and very spacious. Great amenities and a very comfy bed. And they have a free shuttle to and from the club.Great value, would definitely come back.
Great pool and jacuzzi. Nice gym. Very comfortable bed and bedding. Good breakfast and free parking. Close to lots of shopping and food including Costco Gas. Only bad thing was that our room faced the freeway. You can hear cars whizzing by all day and night long. After day 2 we got used to it and thought of it as white noise. Other than that it was great!!
We really enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. The room was large enough, there was a bit of a wall between our beds for some privacy, and everything was properly clean. The bathroom needed a bit of attention. It was clean but needed maintenance work. The bedside tables are very tippy, as our toddler discovered. If you open the drawer it will easily fall forward since theres nothing holding them to the wall or floor.Otherwise, everything was great. Pretty good breakfast, nice pool and spa.
Decent hotel for a good price . Room was spacious and very clean. Room was comfortable and quiet. The front desk staff was very professionall and helpful. I had a small reading light out (didn’t affect my stay) and brought it to there attention upon check out and they immediately asked how they could make my next stay better and what they could do to help. I’d stay here again
This hotel is comfortable and is reasonably affordable for the neighborhood. The room was clean and quiet and I slept well during my stay. The staff is very helpful and accommodated my needs. The hotel has all the amenities for my business travel including free wifi, a decent gym and laundry facilities.
Really clean, spacious, comfortable rooms. Slept great on the queen beds, which looks almost like king beds because they were so big. Solid breakfast included was a cherry on top. Staff were great. I just couldnt get over how clean and modern the hotel felt. Would definitely stay again.
Stayed here wih family taking two two-double rooms. Our stay was most enjoyable exceeding our expectations. First class staff, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast had great choice and the evening snacks saved us a lot as a family. The swimming pool was warm and the free towels useful. The hotel was very clean and rooms spacious. The freeway was a little noisy, so I recommend you get a room facing the pool. However, I can highly recommend this hotel overall.
The front desk lady in this hotel is friendly. When I present to them my issue withy room, they have it resolved. However I think it could be preventable if their cleaning crew can have the bathroom clean correctly in the beginning. I couldn’t rest and sleep well due to the level of its dirtiness. Other than that, they offer great and tasteful breakfast that can light up my day!
Overall the hotel is good. Nice location and facilities. The kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. However, I did have some issues. I didnt get the type of room that I reserved. Hotel management did deal with the issue, but it wasnt timely and wasnt perfect. Also, the breakfast wasnt perfect. Items werent filled promptly, the pancake machine did not work 2 days and the garbages were overflowing.
Really bad experience at this location. Room had never been cleaned our whole stay. We were there for 5 days and ran out of toilet paper, coffee, towels and sheets had never been changed out. Never had I had such an uncomfortable stay with a holiday inn and possibly could just be this location. Now Im wondering if I should choose a different type of hotel when traveling in the future.
I came in for one night to do a presentation for my business. The hotel was in mid-renovation and in what seems to me to be an odd neighborhood of industrial buildings, but its in good shape and attractive considering that its right next to the freeway. I enjoyed my stay, with a couple of minor issues. Renovation materials took up some of the most convenient parking. My room seemed to have recently been renovated, but the shower head seemed to be old and clogged with salts, so the spray was not focused and kind of difficult. Additionally, the bathroom door was mishung so that the door closes on itself. A well installed door will sit wherever you put it, and when Im alone in a hotel room I generally want the door left open. This hotel also has those awful orange sodium security lights that seemed to shine right in my window, but the blackout curtains worked well. Other than that, it was a pleasant night
We loved the upgrade to a suite. The room was exceptionally nice. Loved the decorating. Im confused about having such an amazing kitchen set up with completely empty cupboards. Would highly recommend though if you are planning an extended stay. Nice, quiet location. Breakfast at Holiday Inn Express is always dismal - wherever you go. They simply have no clue about providing dairy or gluten free options. Parking appeared to be tight here.
Hotel room was pretty thorough. Good shampoo choices, nice comfy bed and pillows. Coffee maker had good choices, the black out curtains did their job, almost slept through checkout time. Checking in and out was quick and easy, they have a free shuttle to go to and from the Saddle Rack such was awesome. Wish the parking was a little easier for a truck.
This place was fine, it met my expectations as a no frills hotel. The rooms were spacious, and there was everything I have come to expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The only problem I had was that my expectations were only just met, not exceeded, and as such I would say it wasnt worthy of a Five star review. There is no bar here, so if you like alcohol, bring your own.
I was able to book my room knowing my check in was going to be late. Easy to book and confirm room. Staff informed me of renovation underway and work crews schedule. The front desk staff authorized a late check out graciously. The room was clean and comfortsble AND thankfully extremely quiet. As this wad my first time staying at this hotel location and easy access was important.
This hotel is one I would defiantly recommend especially if going to Saddle Rack because they offer a shuttle service. The beds were big and very comfortable I loved the pillows. They only negative thing I have to say it people going down the hall at 2 in the morning were kind of loud and the pool is pretty small and not very deep but it was heated which was nice I definitely would stay and recommend.
Greeted at the front counter quickly. Checking in was friendly and fast. I asked for a wine Corker and was given one at front desk. All employees were polite and obliged requests. Room was clean and smelled fresh. Bathroom was clean and tidy. Beds and pillows were very comfy.Shower was at good pressure and got hot fast. We will be return customers.
The place looks and smells clean. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good. The pool area was also clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. I asked for extra towels and someone brought them to my room right away. I had no problems or complaints about this place.
When staying in a new city, I always look for Holiday Inn Express first. The cost is usually reasonable, and the hotel is well kept. Breakfast is usually good. This is my second time staying at this hotel. It is consistent with the standards I am used to. The price is expensive, but not compared to other competitors in the area; its just an expensive area.I stayed for three weeks, and it was a comfortable stay. When my stay was extended by my company, the staff were able to let me keep my room, even though the hotel was booked full on the website. The laundry room was clean and had modern machines that worked well.Negatives:* The Wi-Fi was very weak in the room. It was slow in the living room, and to weak to connect in the bedroom.* The TV had plenty of channels, but most of them were not in HD, which is a shame with such nice big TVs.* Non-disposable dishes for breakfast would add a lot of class.
The hotel looks new, modern, and clean from the exterior. Within the hotel, the staff are welcoming and friendly. They chatted with my girlfriend about how much they loved her dress. I thought that was nice. The guest room was larger than i expected and had a comfortable and clean feel to it. The bathroom was clean, however the shower head, like most hotels, would be better with more pressure. Didnt have time to use the pool or hot tub, which I regret because it looked clean and relaxing. Im hardly in Fremont, but should I need lodging in the area, Id strongly consider choosing this hotel again.
Having lots of amenities is my cup of tea, so I appreciate the Keurig machine, refrigerator, and kitchen sink that pretty much comes standard. I had a comfortable stay and the room was clean. It was 100 degrees outside that day, and the AC kept up well. Breakfast was pretty good and had plenty of options, especially considering the price point. However, there was a strange smell that I couldnt decide whether was good or bad in the room, but it didnt bother me too much. Also, the parking could have been more well lit in the back.
I stayed the night there after going to a local country dance bar. I knew I would be getting in late and called the hotel to make sure my room was held since I was technically checking in the day after my check in date. The staff were happy to accommodate that for me. When I got there, checking in was fast and the staff were very friendly. Security was really on top of the rowdy people (who I didnt hear, they just said they were having problems). My room was amazing. I was so happy with every aspect of my stay. I can always count on Holiday Inn to be reliable.
Ive stayed in this hotel for work for the last 2 years. The staff has always been great to me treated me like family. Check-in is always easy and check-out is always easy. The rooms are very clean and very nice. And even though theyre working on the rooms they do whatever they can to make sure you have a comfortable stay. I recommend this hotel to anybody traveling through the Fremont area.
This hotel is quite nice and well put together for its brand and class. It is next to the freeway, so ask for a room facing away from the freeway if possible. It is located in a business park, so I wouldnt plan to stay here if your goal is easy access to sight seeing, shopping, etc. The room was very clean. The television is easy to use and did not have a custom menu system to navigate out of to watch regular tv, and picture adjustment controls were available (I like to turn the brightness down for nighttime viewing). The air conditioner is a through the wall unit and a little noisy, but I found that by leaving the fan on the noise drowned out the freeway; its controlled by a digital thermostat on the wall. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows with a variety of firmness (and were labeled as such to go along with the pillow and sleep guide kept by the bed). The room is overall quite spacious and well laid out, with a desk and office chair, an armchair with ottoman and table, a bench at the end of the bed, and a kitchenette with an abundance of counter space. Ill admit I didnt do too much exploring in the kitchen, it has a microwave, refrigerator, and sink, I didnt find any glassware except for a tray of plastic cups and ice bucket on the counter. The bathroom is quite spacious and well equipped as well, with plenty of towels and toiletries (and two bars of soap - two! I hate it when theres only one). The hotel includes a beer and wine reception in the evenings that I missed, as well as a breakfast buffet which has some sort of a pancake printer thats in keeping with the location. Overall the breakfast was good with plenty of variety sans bacon. A good amount of parking along with fast check in and check out round off a solid hotel choice.
I would have never known that this property right off the freeway was going to be so nice! It looks like it was recently remodeled, but if not the property was very well-kept! The rooms were huge and beautiful! I loved the electrical outlet access port under the TV! I loved the carpet in the rooms and hallway! I got to see my friends suite and the that room was huge and gorgeous as well! Breakfast was good but out of the 5 days that I went down to partake, 3 of the days had the same options. It was still a nice perk though! The staff was very nice and accommodating! It was a great trip and I plan on staying at this property again!
Nothing fancy, but its comfortable. They serve a free breakfast daily from 6a-10a thats pretty good. All staff is very polite & helpful. They provided a crib in the room for no extra charge. No view, but a very convenient location. Building overall is well kept & in good repair. Id stay here again.
The staff goes above and beyond their job requirements. They make sure that everybody is comfortable and address any issues that anybody might have. My room is always spotless when they clean it the breakfasts are great and the manager meals are delicious. I get greeted every morning afternoon and evening when I come in. The Breakfast staff works very hard to make sure that the breakfast stays full and stocked properly. Patricia working very hard in the breakfast area and is very friendly.
Great hotel- very nice. remodeled. Great staff. The housekeeping team found a left behind cellphone charger and loaned it tome to charge my phone.Only downside is noise from expressway. kept me awake at night. they should put some soundproofing drapes on windows. that would help.
This hotel offers friendly service, some of it exceptional, and comfortable surroundings. Rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast is tasty and there is a pretty impressive variety, including fresh fruit. Fresh cookies are featured at the front desk on some days and we understand the Managers dinners are very nice and feature free wine/beer. (We were never around when those were offered.)
All these points are kudos:This hotel is located conveniently near major freeways and businesses. The staff members are professional, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast service is appreciated with the flexible hours from 6-10 am, and the choices are decent from hot food choices to cold cereal and yogurt. Other helpful services include: guest laundry room, vending machines for late night snackers, pool, a decent 24-hour exercise room. The decor is warm and welcoming, and the hotel lobby, other interior spaces, and exterior are clean. This point is an area for improvement:The description online on the website of Holiday Inn Express and Suites said this room has 2 queen size beds. I booked online directly through Holiday Inn Express and Suites. But actually my companion and I slept in 2 full size beds, not queen size beds. So the room did not come as described per my booking online.
I have stayed here many times. The hotel has been renovated and the rooms and common areas are improved. Clean, comfortable beds, plenty of power points to charge devices, good internet and adequate breakfast. Very close to auto mall with plenty of dining and shopping choices. Also less than 1 min from the highway
The first room we were assigned had untucked sheets on both beds. I like my sheets to be tucked under the matress on all sides. At the top of the bed the sheets were not tucked under the matress and their was a black stain on the sheet and pillow case on one of the beds. The second room had a red stain in the toilet. The third room was fine.We have stayed in this hotel several times and this is the first time we had this issue. The guy at the front desk was patient with us and very helpful. We even got a small discount on the cost of the room because of the problems with the first and second room. Excellent customer service. I would like to see more bleach wipes and Lysol spray for hotel guess. This hotel is providing housing for front line medical personel. They are housed on the third floor of the hotel.
Horrible experience at this hotel. I placed the do not disturb sign on the door. Housekeeping started knocking on the door at 6:45am. I told them to come back later. They knocked again twice more before I left. They completely ignored the sign and still kept pressuring me to leave before 9am. Room was falling apart as well. The water faucet on the sink is loose and moves around when turning on the water. Same thing for the shower valve. Crazy stuff.
Another consistent Holiday Inn Express experience. It feels just like any other one Ive stayed at with updated rooms, modern furniture, plenty of outlets and comfortable beds & pillows. The only downside is that its right next to a major highway and located in the middle of an industrial park. The location actually isnt too bad (though there isnt much of a view from any of the rooms) because its right across the street from a large shopping complex with plenty of stores and restaurants. My room was on the side away from the highway, so I didnt hear much noise from the traffic but I imagine it would be annoying if on that side or on a lower floor.
Frequented this hotel several times this year for business travel and extremely impressed with the great and friendly staff, large clean and well lit rooms and excellent desk workspace to work in the rooms if required. Nice pool area too and good breakfast service offerings in comfortable roomy dining area. Excellent value and highly recommended if travel takes you to Fremont area and in need of a quality hotel at reasonable pricing.
Ive stayed at this HIX about five times now. Its been updated, though not all the updates have been good. For instance, the bathroom doors are hinged the wrong way, so they automatically close shut, meaning the bathroom stays humid after showers and will smell when you return by the end of the day unless you find a way to prop it open.Breakfast is what you would expect from an HIX. Same foods as every other one. Its free, so no complaints.Check-in is hit or miss. Ive been recognized as a Spire Elite member, not recognized at all and also mistakenly recognized as a Platinum Elite member. Usually my welcome points post, though.Parking is a nightmare here. Almost to the point that Id consider another hotel if the prices were so much better at the HIX. Theres weirdly dedicated parking for Platinum Elite members, which anyone with an IHG credit card can use. But no dedicated parking for Spire Elite members. Unless you park in the middle of the day and leave your car parked (or get very lucky at night), youll have a 75-100 yard walk to get to the building.Fitness room has two treadmills, a bike and some weights. Its pretty small, but better than nothing.Pool, I believe, was under construction last year and is now complete. Looks nice, but havent used it.
The hotel is very conveniently located and easy to find.We were greeted with a blossom of welcome at arrival. They made us feel very welcomed. The front desk staff made check-in so painless and even encourage us to have beer and chicken wings in their great room. So glad we did as the wings and fries, wine and beer were AWESOME!!.We had a two queen bed room and that room has TWO cubicles for added privacy. This room was extremely large and room with a fridge and microwave. Room temperature was comfortable. The only thing is noise from the freeway. The management at this place feeds you well.... from their happy hour on weekdays to their great breakfast variety--- FANTASTIC! PLUS... there is HOT water, tea and coffee available to hotel guests in the lobby 24 hrs as well as in room.Unfortunately, there was an electrical outage on our 1st night there--- from around 4.40 am thru about 9 am or so... no power. NOT the hotels fault but they still made sure people had breakfast (yogurt, fruits, milk, cereal etc...) until the power came back on. They immediately served hot breakfast again. Personally, I would improve the OJ--- its a little too diluted and does not have that fresh squeezed taste. The other issue was the rowdy crowd on Saturday night caused by some college age kids having parties and running up and down the hallways, trying to open our room door and stealing most of the DO NOT DISTURB signs. The front desk lady (by herself) had too much to handle and could not replace our DO NOT DISTURB sign immediately as she was the only one on the front desk duty and security and police had to be called in to stop the rowdy crowd.Other than the couple of issues which were not the hotels fault and beyond their control, this hotel is worth the stay and we would recommend it. We may not remember what they have said to us but we definitely will remember how they made us feel. That as their guests---we matter, that we are important to them. Thats what HOSPITALITY is all about---taking care of your guests needs and make them feel that they matter.Thank you staff at Fremont Holiday Inn Express, we had a great stay and will be back.
Nice upgrades being made. Clean and modern with pool, breakfast, and more. Remodeling being done all over building was a bit much to deal with, but did not interfere with our stay. Staff friendly and accommodating. Beds are very nice. Excellent rest. Recommend the side away from the freeway. quiet. Breakfast very good. Plenty of options. Easy access . Close to shopping.
This hotel was very nice. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We were pleasantly surprised that they offer an evening meal Monday thru Thursday with beer and wine. It was tasty and just what we needed for a light supper. The beds were comfortable and the Direct TV offered many channel choices. We had stayed at other Holiday Inn Express hotels and find them to be reasonably priced and well kept. We will definitely stay at the Fremont/Milpitas Holiday Inn Express again.
Love this hotel! Rooms are new and very spacious. I stay here one week per month for work and absolutely enjoy it. Lobby is very nice. Free breakfast and ample parking. The Chefs Happy Hour is an added bonus. They offer free drinks and food (lasagna, chicken nachos, beer, wine, etc). The hotel is in a great location - almost across the street to a new shopping and restaurant area.
This was my first stay at this particular property. I was there on business and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and featured a great variety. I also used the guest laundry facility while I was there and found it very clean with newer machines.
I stayed at this location after flying from Germany straight to SFO coming from a deployment in Afghanistan. It was a great way to rest after hours of travel. Even though I checked in later in the evening, Denise was such great help. Very happy and cheerful which made the check-in process easy to deal with. I requested for the free upgrade as a Platinum member and was amazed at the room they gave us. I guess its because its probably the biggest room I had seen in six months. I believe I was able to sleep 13 hours straight. The bed felt great. Pillows were soft. Towels were soft. Just a great experience to come back to America to. Thank you!
Stayed for business so was not around as much as I would have liked. But breakfast was good, Im not very picky however they always have the things I like. Loved the roomy bed and turnover of the room was always great. Even if I felt I left an unwelcome little mess...oopsy...my bad. There was one small negative I experienced...I was helped with a stay extension...which I am grateful for, but when I arrived to sign at the desk...the young lady whom helped me over the phone seemed more interested in passing me off to the other person already busy behind the desk with someone else. Wasnt a big deal, but I was tired and she literally said,oh, Im clocking out right now...so shell help you in just a moment. To which I replied nice, you get to go home and I just had to extend my stay. Good for you. Which is bad, and I regret, but I had just worked a 14 hr shift and was a lil...well...I was frankly short with her. With that, I apologize and I do know how it is.
We had several friends stay in various rooms. We had a bachelorette party, went to Saddle Rack, for which they had a convenient shuttle, and slept well. We had very spacious king suites. Lovely rooms.I would be cautious of bringing a family vecause many guests appear to have some kind of party, so there was quite a bit of noise after hours despite securitys best efforts. It may be different on weeknights, but I got the impression this was average for a Saturday night with their security crew.Overall a great stay for our fun bachelorette party.
It’s good The fact the you guys will cancel a no cancel reservation. The attendants and crew are always present everywhereth. The pillows have a very smooth feel and the beddings are great which are the most important things for me when sleeping at hotels. The breakfast have a lot of choices and we’re freshOverall it was a good experience
The hotel was great, great customer service in all areas.Clean inside, and out.It was awesome to see that there was actually security personal walking around. The pool was under renovation however, in my opinion, perfect timing considering were still having cold rainy days.Pool should be ready for use once the weather gets warmer.
We planned a night getaway to the saddle rack and the hotel offered a free shuttle and late check out. Staff was great and the rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Mini fridge in the rooms with a sink and microwave. They even had nice little extras in the bathrooms shower caps, makeup remover wipes ,along with the shampoo and body wash. We will definitely be returning to this location our next trip to Fremont.
I checked in Sunday and stayed till Weds. Returned Thursday night. Manager has snacks and beverages most nights. Staff amenable and cordial. First part of stay I was on second floor away from the freeway. It was quiet. When I returned on way home was given a room on third floor on freeway side of hotel.Word to wise if you are a light sleeper, ask for a room on the side that doesnt face the freeway and or turn the air conditioner or fan on to generate a little white noise. Hotels very easy to access being so Close to the freeway and there are many good restaurants near the location.
I have to say that upon arrival I was a bit sceptical with all the consideration going on.This place was clean!!Rooms were quiet beds were comfortable. We were supplied with everything that we needed daily, shampoo , coffee pods, etc.Help was friendly, free breakfast every morning, newspaper.Have a laundry facility on site to do your own if youd like. The only thing I would say is ask for a room away from the street.A lot of trucks park on the street overnight and one night we had a refrigeration truck that kept running all night.I would highly reccomend this location!
Im basically a malcontent, so I didnt like this place because it gave me very little to complain about. The bathroom could have been a little bigger and the shower curtain was a little short so it was difficult to keep in the tub. I have a nagging suspicion that my towels were replaced every day even though I didnt put them on the floor and I figured saying I didnt want my linens replaced meant they wouldnt make the bed, but I was wrong. I didnt test to see if they replaced the linens by making surreptitious markings, but they may have replaced those, too. They said they had some free happy hour in the evening, but I was always back too late from working to take advantage. Although they had a nice HD TV, the signal was definitely not HD.Otherwise, LOTS of outlets was a big plus. I wasnt expecting a kitchenette and had no use for one, but it was there just the same. The free breakfast was much better than typical for a free meal. The room was very spacious and had good workspaces.Generally, I think this was the nicest place Ive ever stayed at except for a cottage in the Smokey Mountains that we rented for a week--although the Internet connection here was better.
The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. I do have two complaints though. I stayed at the hotel for a fun girls night out at the saddle rack celebrating my friends birthday. When I booked through the saddle rack website it offered a room for $10 more that had modern brand new furniture. I asked the front desk about this when we checked in and they had no idea what I was talking about and said none of their rooms have new furniture. Now the room ended up being fine and had nice furnsihings, but I would have saved myself the $10 had I known I wasnt getting the modern room. Second, someone threw up outside of our room at some point in the middle of the night. I understand a lot of people stay there to party and go to the saddle rack, but I heard people walking by and commenting on it early in the morning and while the maids were in the hallway cleaning rooms nothing was done about it and it was still there when we checked out at noon.
Large suites plenty of room, great breakfast!! good happy hour also. Only complaint is bathroom door has an automatic closer dont really like that especially in the middle of the night. Front staff was excellent got room quick and easy, check out was the same way. Pool and workout area looked great just didnt have the time to use them, next time!!
I travel weekly and have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Fremont on multiple occasions. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, bringing a home feeling when you stay with them. The facility is being updated, although you would not notice the ongoing changes are everything is immaculate throughout the facility. I would definitely recommend this hotel not only for the hospitality, but the value and location in the local San Jose area.
Another great stay with this friendly, helpful staff, in a clean, welcoming facility, with a great free breakfast bar with hot and cold offerings to meet all my morning meal needs.Be sure to book your reservation in advance...while I am a frequent guest, I often miss out on this property when I need to book my trips on short notice due to the high demand for their rooms. I got hit with a higher rate on this trip due to my late booking...the reason for missing my normal 5 star Value rating on this run.If you can plan in advance, this should be your home away from home.
It was a great idea to upgrade the hotel. It was a great experience to know that Holiday Express cares about their image. Over all awesome experience from the beginning to the end. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a great sleep. Breakfast was hot and fresh. Employees all around were professional and knew I was a club member. Thanks for the experience.
Over the past few years I have had multiple chances to stay in this particular Holiday Inn. Oveall my stays have been very pleasant and comfortable. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful. On the highway side there can be some road noise but I have found that this soon disappears into white noise. The rooms have always been clean and well kept up. I would recommend this for travelers to the area as a good choice!
For the price this Motel / Hotel, is stunning its like a studio apartment its beautiful, the bed is comfortable the bathrooms beautiful and they Supply toiletries and coffee they have a pool jacuzzi workout room you name it I am extremely pleased extremely. I will definitely come back thats a guarantee. The people who work here were extremely polite and helpful and when I got here they were ready for me.
This is a great hotel. Very clean. Staff is ok. Their detail work on their fixtures needs some help tho. Ac unit had broken plates and bathroom fixtures had some growing corrosion but they are remodeling so hopefully that will get fixed. Very fast check in and out as well. Would come again.
The only issues I had with my guest room was that the bathroom door could use a replacement. It was fully functional, but it looked like it had been dragged out with the paint coming off. The second issue was perhaps an urgency to not book a room so close to the freeway and parking lot. But perhaps the rooms more on the inside of the hotel were taken. I just had a minor issue with it being near the freeway. But I overall enjoyed my stay.
First of all, I have 7 witnesses for the happening at this hotel. All saw bad attitude and lowest quality service from front desk personnel. I was waited almost 2 hours in the lobby to check in because many Spire elite stayed longer than the checkout time ... that’s what I was told. Finally, I checked in around 4:30pm. For your information, I’m the Spire elite as well. I should have been checked in earlier however, I waited without words. I was polite. Next day, I made a point to one of the managers however, all I got were bad attitude and lower quality service from this manager as well. He couldn’t solve any problems at all. It is Holiday Inn Express, not Intercontinental ... I got that. I and other 7 coworkers were very disappointed and wasted our precious time. The good thing is that our team got a huge contract and this business trip went very well. The best thing came after the worst happening! Anyway, there are many hotels in the area. Look for other properties for you to stay.
I selected this hotel because it was the last available in the area. (I usually stay at a hotel closer to my office.) What a great surprise! The hotel was clean and quiet. The rooms had microwaves and refrigerators. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast had many choices.I saw some another review that complained about the freeway noise since the hotel is next to it, but it was a constant lower-level noise, and didnt really bother me.I will definitely stay here again. Thanks!
The executive queen suite was roomy and with a divider between the 2 beds. There was plenty of electrical outlets located which was very convenient. It appears this room would have allowed a external hook up to the tv like hdmi, ipod connection. Bed and pillows were comfortable as well as having soft clean white towels. The fitness center could be updated with free weights or a pull up bar. The outside pool is not attractive due to the street visibility in a business / industrial area. This should be enclosed so can be used year round. At check in there is a normal security deposit charged, but this hotel made 2 separate pending charges for the entire room rate with about 6 hours difference. I had to call my credit card company to find out the unusual charge and asked the front desk to find out if they made a charge that I was not aware of and was told this would be released which was somewhat comforting. The front desk should advised what the security deposit would be as in these day with credit card fraud.
I specifically booked my stay at the Fremont Holiday Inn Express because I was told, over the phone, by hotel personnel at the Front Desk, that the hotel offered shuttle service to the nearby airport. Upon arrival I was informed that the shuttle was not complimentary; it was actually a limousine operated by a vendor. When I inquired about the cost the front desk person told me it was around 69 bucks but she was not sure. I cant help but wonder if the limo service is in cahoots with management!Overall the facility and rooms are very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room flat screen TV had excellent signal quality & a great selection of channels. The remote was clean and worked.Bathroom towels were few and scratchy. On the bathroom sink there was a placard advising the Guest that if any towels, blankets, or pillows were removed from the room that there would be a charge to the guests account. I did not find this to be humorous.Other than the aforementioned issues the HIE Fremont is a nice place to stay and up to the usual IHG standards.
A nice hotel, but needs to be much greater for the nightly asking price. I understand it is the bay area, and everything is very expensive, but with other area hotels asking similar prices, IHG should be working to differentiate themselves. I stayed 3 nights and found accommodations very similar to many Choice Hotel properties.Common areas were clean and well appointed. Signs indicated ongoing renovations but other than a work area in the back lot, I was hard pressed to find any inconveniences due to construction. The room was spacious and comfortable, with plenty of areas for my luggage and work items. The window in my room (415) directly faced the freeway, so there was a bit of traffic noise during rush hour.Accommodations were comfortable and well maintained. The only issue I had was the shower drained very slowly, to the point I would be standing in ankle deep water by the end of my shower. I brought this up to the front desk the next morning and was told it would be looked into. Unfortunately, the shower still drained slowly the rest of my stay, and no one followed up with me on my issue. Staff are polite, but do not go above, and unlike other IHG properties, dont welcome guests back when they return for the evening. Its little touches like this that are missing everywhere, such as calling up to the room to verify food delivery or other guests, which Ive seen in every other Holiday property Ive stayed at.Internet speeds and signal strength were also disappointing, my work session with my companys web portal was constantly interrupted and required me to re-login several times. Doing anything entertaining like watching videos or streaming music was completely out of the question.Check in and check out was a breeze, and the hotel is very close to a major shopping center, with many major stores and just about any chain eatery you could be craving. All in all, fairly standard, but it seems like they hide behind the prevailing area price point. Not the worst HIE Ive stayed at, but also not the best, especially considering I can get a better stay for less elsewhere. If they either lowered their prices, or started offering more competitive accommodations, they would likely see more business.
Normally a very convenient hotel, but it was under construction and the construction was right next to my room. The workers were very loud and started working at 7:30 on Sunday morning, which is usually a time people want to sleep. The construction also negatively affected the overall appearance, cleanliness, and smell of the hotel. Will pay more to stay at a different hotel next time.
This hotel is nicely renovated and for all appearances might as well be brand new. My room was a king executive suite, which was nice enough, large and comfortable, but weirdly devoid of decoration. The room felt cold and empty, like some sort of white-collar prison cell. Breakfast was a bit better than what I would normally expect from the HIE brand, though thats not saying much.As for the fatal flaw: unless youre very tolerant of noise or hard of hearing, you should avoid this hotel or request a room on the side that does not face the freeway. I got by with earplugs, but thats not very comfortable. My time in this area was extended, and I chose to book a different hotel in a better location rather than request a different room.
I enjoyed my stay here and what impressed me the most was how clean everything was. You can clearly see that whoever manages this hotel stays on top of the appearance. The other part that I was happy with was the staff. The front desk was helpful and courteous and everyone was quick with a hello or a good day. I would stay here again and I would recommend this location to anyone that is going to be in the area for a visit.
Hotel and staff were very accommodating. I had a late check-in, due to traffic, and I contacted the staff on my status. Staff was very polite and the hotel was in close proximity to a lot of food and shopping places. The hotel is located next to the freeway, but that did not both me. I was too relaxed to let outside noises bother me. Overall the hotel was clean, accommodating, and the staff was exceptional!
I travel frequently for work and Ive always stayed in holiday inn(AZ/TX/CA/MA) so I knew what to expect. This was the best so far. The rooms are great, theres a kitchen, spacious bathrooms and the bed have different types of pillows(not four of the same). two of my colleagues ended up switching from where they had rooms to holiday Inn. we also recommended to three other colleagues that came after us. This is a great place to stay, its close to the highway/ shopping center and once in a while youll see a bus or two full of tourists staying there.
Since I didnt know this hotel catered to a dance club, the Saddle Rack, with free shuttles for customers I probably wouldnt have booked a room here since we came out for a sports tournament and would have preferred a quieter evening especially from the wee hours of 1:30 to 4 am with yelling and laughing in the hallways and doors slamming with people going in and out of other rooms. I heard security a couple of times rapping on doors and there was a brawl in the lobby that brought the police. Overall, I found the staff and service to be very good and the room was very clean and comfortable but unless you are a deep sleeper, especially on a weekend, there isnt a guarantee it will be quiet. Although I dont blame the hotel since you cant control people and their disregard for others but would suggest having the top floor reserved for guests not attending the Saddle Rack in the future. I am a Gold Elite member and didnt really get that service with this stay.
Overall the property did not leave a great impression. The check in process took a looooong time. The room and hallway could be refreshed. The hotel and room were clean. The A/C in the room was loud and unpredictable, which made sleeping hard. Breakfast was disappointing and hardly any fresh fruit or vegetables. Parking is kind of spread out and a bit confusing, especially when the hotel filled up.
Overall the hotel was a nice place to say, nice breakfast but the bed for me was way too hard and I don’t think I could spend more than one night there do to how hard the bed was. Everyone’s preference for beds are different and if you like a harder bed it’s a very nice place to stay.
My husband and I would not use another hotel for travel to the San Jose area. As soon as you pull into the clean parking lot and enter the hotel, we feel as if we are staying with family. The facility is always clean - even when it was undergoing a construction remodel! The staff, from the front office, the housekeeping team, the breakfast area staff and the management team are all first rate! We would highly recommend HI Milpitas for both business as well as vacation. When you are in HI Milpitas, after a long day at business, you are home.
The hotel was good not great. For the price I expected better. Hotel could use some updates. Internet was spotty and dropped a few times. Printer in the business office would not print docs needed for my project. Front desk said they could not print for me. Disappointed I had to run to Office Depot in the middle of the night to print.
1st nite of 4, asked maid to pls. leave 2-3 extra towels, she even accepted a $5.00 tip, but did not leave towels, the front desk team was great gave me the towels and than she didnt even empty trash under the sink from guest the night before, so on the second day I did leave it out for her to see the next morning.Hot tub was great for the body if you drove all day and wanted to relax, but it really was very cold once you get out.finally breakfast food was just warm not hot like other locations. The juice machine was out of 3 different kinds of juice, I think it had only orange juice, the young employee, said we are out the whole weekend.
This was my first time staying at this facility. My sister, friend and I stayed in the king suite. The staff was super friendly and welcoming including the hotel security. The reason for our stay was to celebrate my birthday at the saddle rack. I was impressed with the shuttle service available and it came in handy.
Comfortable beds, clean rooms, large room, cable TV worked, very quiet. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is really good, lots of choices. Even though its being remodeled it did not bother our stay at all. Extremely close to the fwy, but we didnt hear a single car. Less than a 20 minute drive to Levi Stadium.
Good but not excellent. We now invite you to tell us a little more about your stay. This was my first stay here in Fremont but it wont be my last. Location is great. Room was great. Only problem I had is that the bathroom door wouldnt stay open. Didnt get a chance to sample breakfast as I had an early flight. Front desk very polite and professional. Looking forward to staying here again when I get back.

2022-01-07Currently staying here because I travel for work. But in the past 3 weeks Ive been put in a room where person rooming above me keeps stomping their feet when they walk across the room. People talking loudly outside of my door. Where is the courtesy when it comes to being quiet so others who stay here that need their rest, can enjoy? Im hoping next time I get a room booked, I will get one on the top floor where I dont have to deal with stomping feet and other occupants speaking loudly. The staff are pleasant and have great customer service.

2022-06-20Positive: Great location, beautiful view of pool, large window and room, friendly staff, great breakfast! Bold Moves of the Lord Jesus Christ & his Holy Spirit while I stayed here, in awe. I had a wonderful life changing experience worshipping the Lord! Rm 320 Negative: Improve oversight at front desk of TV station in breakfast area with children present, inappropriate, mentioned many times and changed politely. No shuttle though, so Lyft, Bart, bus line 60 to get to San Jose Airport long, though went well.

2021-12-14We arrived at hotel, friendly staff and easy check in. Went to room. Room was huge and clean and comfortable. The beds were awesome, sleeted well. Breakfast was great, pancakes, eggs oatmeal, coffee. Perfect and delicious. The room was also very quite. We did not hear any other guests in other rooms. Thank you for a great time. It felt like home. Nice and friendly people. We will stay again there or any other hotel. Thank you.

2022-03-30Positive: The staff was very kind In accommodating our request for late checkout and helped us get breakfast even though we arrived a few minutes after closing. All the while, they were friendly and kind and glad to be of service. It made me feel welcomed! Negative: The HVAC design in our king suite wasn¿t able to cool the bedroom unless the living area was freezing or unless we kept the bedroom door open, which defeats the purpose of booking a suite. Road noise is loud on the side facing the highway.

2022-06-07Stayed here for 10 days on business. Rooms are good, breakfast service is great, gym is tiny and not really equipped with anything. They have a nice pool which I didnt use. Overall very clean and decent service. If youre an IHG member and travel a lot, then this is a no brainer if youre staying in the area.

2022-01-18Hotel itself is very nice, the staff is very nice and the breakfast was great. I did see some questionable people hanging around. Also a lot of homeless living shelter vehicles littered the street leading to the hotel. A man was banging on the door across from mine for 3 hours at 1am. Called for assistance no one came and no hotel security assisted us. When she did answer she said yes we know is he still there?? Umm yes, It was pretty scary anything could have happened. I did not get any sleep and the next day I had to get right up for my meeting. I felt like they should have comped my room since I was up half the night.

2021-12-31The hotel was in a perfect location on I 580 and the rooms were huge like a studio..the breakfast was impressive..we were very happy. We stayed 4 days in this hotel with my kids for a tournament and had no problems. It is close to the mall and lot of food option around. The hotel has free parking and the guest service was impressive.
