One of the last beaches left that is not over run by tourists and you can still have a bonfire and enjoy the serenity the ocean brings. The sand is nice and not full of debris and things that hurt your feet, its nice and quiet and theres not so many people you may as well be sitting on someones keep.... Its been years since I went to this beach, and it was exactly what I needed! Its recommend it, but honestly I hope it stays just the way it is for the locals. Living in Santa Cruz theres never parking, so much traffic is best impossible not to be late, and trying to enjoy the area we live in isnt a thing because even our hidden spots have been put in into type guides and magazines, leaving us strangers in our own home area. I hate having to pay $10 or more just to be park for an appointment or to go grocery shopping... Im all about sharing, but people think because we live here all year long we dont need to enjoy the pleasures of Santa Cruz during tourist season, except its always tourist season, and we pay unreasonable rents and everything else just to live here, so truly locals go enjoy hidden beach, tourists twin lakes is great for bonfires and beach boardwalk is all yours!
The name says it all Hidden Beach Park, its tucked away in a small community. You literally drive to the end of the road and there you are greeted by all kinds of beautiful nature. Green all around. There is handicap parking. A portable restroom And wash station as you enter the park. Picnic tables, swings and other jungle gym activities in the park. You have to walk along a path watch you step because as you approach the coastal sand it gets very steep. Your moments away from the crisp cool air, the cold waves and a fabulous day at Hidden Beach Park
Great climbing structure & swings for little kids. A few picnic tables, large grassy area to run and nice shade. Heads-up: No permanent restroom - only a port-a-potty. Trail, mostly paved, leads to a wonderful beach. Very limited parking. Worth the effort the first time to find it.
Go into the grove adjacent to the path. Entrance to the grove is at the beach once you make it down the path. Youll feel one with nature.By the way, the final part of the path is very steep. If youre taking a wheeled wagon, a ton of stuff, or have children, be very careful.
Parking is extremely limited, like 5 spots total. Theres a solitary port-a-potty that might have never been serviced. Tough to say since I havent mustered the courage to take a peek. If you do mistakenly find yourself at this beach, hope its a Tuesday, since thats the only day it isnt overrun with college bros drinking lite beer and blasting their rap music or trap music.Never coming back. Very sad!

2021-12-07A scenic little park that is true to its name and fairly well hidden. Limited free parking on the dead end culdesac on Cliff Street or the pull off just before. Don’t miss the Little Free Library in between. Brand new all abilities playground with rubber surface in honor of a local boy who frequented the park. Lovely beach and sea views, picnic tables, benches, and sizable grassy area. Perfect for a picnic, dog walk, frisbee toss, spin around the playground, or read under the gum trees. Well loved by locals.

2021-06-10Beautiful private beach not overly crowded. The sand is so soft , warm and not much foot traffic makes the sand look beautiful. Perfect park and beach for kids and dogs. The quarter mile walk up to the beach is also just as beautiful you feel like youre in a different world. Ask the beach houses look amazing.

2021-07-21Im sure the park is wonderful. Im art the beach, and its what you expect a beach to be -- sand, wind, ocean, and sea birds. Its quiet, and there arent a lot of people nearby.

2022-06-17I loved this because it had a playground to play on and the beach was beautiful. Also, it was good for swimming in(not that cold). I recommend going for walks beside the ocean because it is beautiful.

2021-03-17Nothing but crazy great views. You can walk the beach. Or you can walk the cliffs to find a shot youll love. Nothing like private beach area. Nothing but good times and Great Ocean Views. If youre lucky youll see Humpbacks the right time of the year

2020-10-20Large sand beach helps you keep distance from people. Parking was a bit challenging and required $10.

2019-10-07Make sure to use the directions to hidden beach playground as that is the easiest way to get down to the beach as well as find some parking (8 spots), playground, and port a potty. Once you park follow the asphalt down to the beach. As others have stated, lots of beach, not a lot of folks, but lots of people walking around with their dogs. For those with children. Watch out for random aggressive bees and try putting your feet in ground where the waves finish off to find some clams!!

2020-10-10Great place to take the dog. Kinda of a pain for parking but I like that keeps crowds down.
