We arrived earlier than we reserved and they still let us take the car, they detailed it practically right in front of us and gave us a free upgrade on the car. The agent helping us was a trainee so he didnt have the operational side of things on lock just yet, but he was very professional and nice. We would rent a vehicle from this branch again.
Don’t believe previous reviews fuss. Decent service, moderately new cars, as fast service they can. Just arrive early and youll get the job done on time. Friendly service on our part and we got exactly what we had reserved, good tips for or journey and we left on time.
The car rental time was at 9, but we arrived at there before 9. The staff serviced well, seeing we had a lot of luggage so he upgraded our car for free. Although the car lacked of the front foot pad, overall everything was very good, and the vehicle was clean. Thank you very much. Taiwanese travelers.
I would give them no starts if I could! Ive been waiting for my rental car for over an hour that I booked 2 weeks ago! They didnt have my car here so they had to have someone pick it up for me. The staff was friendly enough but this location is completely unorganized. Be prepared to wait 2 hours to get a car.. 😡
The WORST rental car place I’ve ever went to. Waited in line one hour and half in the line since there no fast processing although you booked in advance online. The staff is rude and doesn’t answer your question. Staff keeps talking over the phone while serving customer. The whole process took 2 hours which really should take 15 min anywhere else. Highly recommend STAY AWAY from it.
Very very poor service. Very chaotic. The person managing our booking went to get our car but then disappeared for 20 minutes. Then came back for a couple of minutes and disappeared again. No updates so we had to sit there getting more and more frustrated. All very bizarre. We lost an hour of our day. Front seats were really dirty.
Staff trying. I regularly rent here as a Gold member (this is a franchise location). With limited staff and newbie renters (foreigners, insurance temp) its easy for the 2-3 staff members to get overwhelmed. Not helped is Hertz IT systems which require lots of clicking about to finalize rental. As a small location, vehicle choices are limited and at peak periods, no vehicles may be on hand. If something is critical the airport will be your best choice (but cost more due to airport fees). I have found staff tries hard to please though many I suspect are unfamiliar with rental procedures.
Im happy with the way the representative assured me that I could switch into a larger vehicle while my SUV is being repaired at the body shop. Thank you.Hertz, thank you for understanding that Im moving and I really need to get more items inside my car rather than make so many trips...Thank you, again!Geoffrey
Im a Hertz Gold member and had two SUVs reservations for my family and my guests. We arrived at Hertz 45 min earlier at 7:15am and were quite rudely informed by the manager Ricardo of 3 hours delay on the vehicles availability. We decided to wait in the hope to have at least one SUV available as soon as possible and continue our vacation schedule. While waiting we witnessed other customers coming and having the same kind of issue, the manager and the other employees were totally rough and unprepared deal with the situation or to provide a minimum feedback to any customer. The manager was not able to offer any viable alternative but to downgrade the cars, with no discount on the price and no commitment to honor an upgrade as soon as an SUV was available. After 3 hours waiting without any feedback from Hertz (not even single call back so far), we decide to leave the office back to our hotel since my wife was able to find two SUVs available at Alamos in the Oakland Airport, by the way, with a much better customer service.Unfortunately, with all the delay we were able to arrive at Napa Valley only by night and lost our chance to visit the wineries and frustrated our trip planned for the last 6 months.I am outraged at how many other Hertz customers may also have their well-planned dream trips thwarted by Hertz incompetence in providing customer-oriented trainings to their employees.Hertz NEVER MORE!!!
Not especially luxurious or super special but a perfectly adequate rental experience. Needed a car on short notice, got a car that got me to where I needed to go and back, for a reasonable price and no unreasonable hassles. Was also happy that I had a choice of hybrid.
AVOID at all cost !!Here a few things to know before considering renting a car there:1. NEVER sign on their electronic pad when you get the car without checking what you are signing. (They will give you only a small signature pad with no attached document.) They will make you sign a report without your knowledge saying that you had a good service and that the car was perfect.2. BE prepared to wait for a long time before getting you car + having the pay extra fee (at least 10 %). We waited for at least 3 hours before getting our car (we had to pay for an upgrade car, since the basic model was no more available).3.BRING wipe to clean the car. Also, an odor spray could be also useful. Our car was so disgusting... old coffee and melted chocolate all over the seats and on the floor. Old tissues also.
We went in there in a panic because we realized last minute that we made our reservation for a different day, but the gentleman working the desk and his manager took care of us. They got us into a nice car and made sure none of our time got wasted. Very attentive friendly staff.
Discussing service. Ordered car months before to pick up at 9am. Still no car at 11am. Once car arrived it had to be cleaned then they lost the key for the car.Left 3 hours late had to change the route to LA as we had run out of time.Staff didnt care at all. Were not friendly and didnt even want us to use the toilet. 3 hour wait!!! Hopeless
Location poorly managed. No cars available despite reservation. Majority of staff are polite but essentially helpless given lack of car inventory. Why bother allowing reservations if a car can’t really be reserved? Wasted over two hours waiting in line and then waiting on a car to be delivered.
Even when you have a reservation appointment it can take more than 4 hours of waiting to get a car. This is true even if you are renewing the rental on a car that you already have. The transaction is time consuming and cumbersome. This should be a simple and easy in and out process but instead it is tiring and painful. My experiences here were so bad that after 4 years and almost 12,000 rides given, I decided to call it quits and havent driven for uber since.
2019 November 5, TuesdayOn Saturday November 2nd I went to renew a Uber/Hertz monthly lease. I was told to wait until Tuesday. On Tuesday November 5th around noon (car is not due until 5pm) agent said will have to close period and charge me $962.79 for the past month and then renew. I signed the bill. I Didn’t have my credit card with me. Had to go and get credit card although agent has it on file and he just charged me $962.79 he insisted I bring it in material. When I came back with credit card I was told because I drove the car without permission they will not renew the contract. I had the keys with me I told the agent and anything had gone wrong I am the one who will be responsible. Next thing I know is they went ahead and made another charge on my credit card for over $1107.55 without my permission (because the gas tank was empty he said) and I didn’t not sign for this second charge. I told them I have until 5pm to return the car. I did not return the car yet. They took the keys from me and refused to renew like they promised pending my having to bring my credit card. The second charge is forged and I did not authorize. I had until 5pm and could have went to fill in the tank for fraction of the overcharges they made and without my permission. That’s forgery. That’s the falsifying facts. That’s illegal. I can not be responsible for charges made to my card without my permission. There goes Hertz for you. They misrepresented policy by not renewing contract, falsified the facts by my having to bring card but went ahead and made another charge without my permission, and therefore committing , forgery and causing me an ongoing loss of income and use.2018Yesterday, when I got to Hertz the office was in shambles. A dozen people were waiting. There were 2 agents present and 2 agents are missing. Apparently Hertz is paying for 4 employees but only 2 are hired. 2 hours past and none of these customers have been served yet. The ones that did get served were still coming back to return the rentals complaining about defects in their hired rentals. Luckily they havent left the lot yet or its going to be on them. When I asked two different agents why is it taking too long to serve all these people and why are we still waiting for too long ? First one said he doesnt know. He is only in charge of extensions and insurance issues. The other said her terminal is not working although I hear the printer is chirping paper out as she had just pressed a button. When I asked one customer I recognized hes been served 2 hours ago what is wrong with him why is he still here and keep coming in and out with bunch of car keys in his hands ? He said he keeps coming back and returning keys for all the vehicles they gave him to try because he told me none of the vehicles he had tried are in good working conditions and some have their brakes not working at all, some have their windshields cracked and some have more serious damages and malfunction he cant tell whats wrong with them. He showed me a stamped paper I saw the agent stamping and admitting that he on behalf of Hertz had just handed to a client a vehicle with front brakes that are not working.
Absolutely awful customer service. They scheduled a 3:30 PM pickup for me and NEVER showed up or even had the decency to call. I called them and they put me on hold and waited for 15+ minutes and the line wasn’t answered. This is my second experience with Hertz and they’ve both been just about the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.Save yourself the headache and RUN AWAY.
Terrible experience! It took over 20 min to answer their phone. When I did get through I was told someone was on break. When i arrived I had to wait for 4 other people before me which took over an hour. The car I received was 3 years old, smelled, had multiple stains, and scratches on every panel of the exterior.Never go to this location!!
I brought reading matter, expecting the worst, but it only required 25 minutes to pick up my car after the staff resolved a pressing internal matter much more important than customers. This included 3-5 minutes ascertaining whether I was really a Gold customer. However, my gold status did make the car return somewhat faster. I guess the Local Edition term is a metaphor: it takes forever to get a book published or to drive away in your rental car. Tip: if you park outside on 10th street, watch the meter, DPT will pounce.
WORST RENTAL CAR COMPANY EVER!!! I picked up the car here and returned it at SFO (as booked!!!) and now, a month later I get a call to please return the car and its way overdue. My experience at the counter was already so chaotic with agents asking each other which vehicles are available and that they cant find the keys for some vehicles etc but this is the straw that breaks the camels back! Definitely never coming back again! What a mess!
Just left this Hertz and it was the most baffling experience. We were yelled at for coming in early and told we had to pay another day because we were over the 29 minute “grace period.” They didn’t have the car ready so we waited for it to be cleaned. In the meantime, we watched them as they were EXTREMELY rude to several other customers. I was literally gasping, mouth open, in disbelief. The most rude was STEVEN. DONT GO HERE
After standing here for 2 hours, we still are waiting for a car and multiple people in front of us have been told that there are no cars available. They have had to bring cars in from other locations and clean them. You would think they would look at their reserved cars ahead of time and have those cars ready. They also only have 1 person at the desk and multiple people have gone to lunch.
We reserved a car for a business trip. They told us they would come and pick us up at our place at 10am. 10h05 nobody was there, we called them and they said someone was on the way, they would arrive in 5 min. 10h25 no news, called them again and they said they would sent someone in 5 minutes. 11h45 we called again, they told us they don’t do foreign phone numbers. Ok so, why didn’t you tell us at the moment of reservation when we gave you the number? Or during the first or second call? We went to the branch by ourselves and had to wait additional half an hour because “first come first served”. we lost half work day because these people are inefficient. Just never go there. Worst service ever.
This Hertz screwed us. We called the night before and made a reservation, when I arrived to pick it up there was no car for us and we were no where in the system. I called around and there are no other cars until later in the day which means I have to Lyft everywhere. If you are into rolling the dice and enjoy the thrill of not getting a car this is the place to go.
Fast service. Walked in, picked up key and hopped in car. Benefits of being in their gold program is not having to fill out paper work. There was also no lines just friendly and professional staff members like Keith. I used to take Bart to SFO and rent a car through Hertz, but this location has removed the hassle of going to SFO.
The employees were friendly and were trying their best! But this office is physically way too small to handle the volume of business they do at this location. And theyre chronically understaffed. They only have four desks, so it would be slow going no matter what because theyre a very busy location. But they only had two employees so it was twice as bad. Just go to the airport, youll save time even with the extra drive down there!
Absolutely horrible - go here if you’re trying to waste time. We made an 11:00 reservation and still didn’t have a car by 1:30. The BS part about it is you sign in to then be called later to fill out the paperwork and receive your rental. Inside their rental space was too small that people were waiting outside but homeboy doesn’t want to come outside and even yell your name when he’s saying who’s next?! This Hertz is garbage and shouldn’t even be in business.
Most of the staff is rude, unprofessional and confused. Ive been forced to come here a half dozen times - its the only place that offers uber rentals in SF - and each time there is are new issues. Ive seen arguments, hostility and near physical scuffles. The staff does not care one wit about the customer, just collecting the money and kicking you out the door. The cars are not serviced correctly. Ive been given cars with no oil and check engine lights on. One man was given a car without working head lights. This place is a law suit waiting to happen. Uber and Hertz should cover their faces in shame to have their names associated with this location.
Quite simple - the manager Carlos is unprofessional. Go to another nearby Hertz or better yet, a different provider altogether, to avoid dealing with him. We walked in and waited in the Hertz Gold line (clearly marked). Carlos calls us forward and we sit down - he looks up our information, then tells us please wait back in line, there were people in front of you.I was honestly baffled. I had absolutely no problem waiting for those people to go ahead, but he had called us forward and then proceeded to make a scene for no reason? (There also is supposed to be a separate Gold counter anyways.) The place is badly mismanaged and Id recommend sacrificing a bit of convenience to give your business elsewhere.
I’m very disappointed by the service I received from the employees of Hertz in this location. They give a bad attitude and take a long time to help you. The car that I got was dirty. I drove it for 150 miles for 5 days and the car was asking for service. I wanted to return it on Saturday and at 12 it was already closed; also they don’t open on Sunday. So I had to pay 2 days extra for a car in a bad state.
Very long wait despite having an appointment, not customer oriented at all, and when I go in my car the oil change light was flashing. I got another car, but once I drove off another service light came on and 3 days later it overheated (not related to the light, but something separate. One guy helped me switch cars and suggested I did a survey and got me to do it expecting me to write something of the help he offered. So the only help I got wasnt even genuine.
Service is super slow here and it doesnt seem like their computers work correctly because theyre going from one stain to another just trying to book your rental or print out a receipt. Theyre not customer orientated and will be taking to staff, or other people making it a long wait to get help.
We rented a car for our honeymoon. We called for rates, and the store manager gave us rates for a compact car. We asked if GPS was available, and the manager told us that it was. We also requested a pickup, but the store manager mentioned that the wait time was 3+ hrs, so we took the bus. Upon entering the location, the counter staff appeared distant and disinterested. Upon booking, we learned that the manager had neglected to tell us three things:1. GPS WAS available, but it was not portable, and permanently installed in one car.2. The only car that DID have GPS was full size, and 75 dollars more than the one we were going to rent.3. The GPS was Hertzs proprietary brand Neverlost, which I had never heard of before. The unit installed in the vehicle looked like 1st generation GPS from back in the 1990s. The functionality was marginally useable, and did not even compare to the entry level Garmin from 10 years ago.The staff also was not helpful with information about crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. One would think that with the amount of customers crossing the bridge on a daily basis that the company would have the process down pat. The pamphlet I was given by the counter attendent mentioned that payment could be made in 48 hrs after crossing the bridge.Upon attempting to make the payment and realizing that it was impossible to do without covering 2 days of unlimited access by the subsequent customers using the same rental car, I capitulated to allowing the charges to go through Platepass with the administrative fee. The Hertz attendent was no help, repeatedly stating that it was not Hertzs issue and they had never encountered anything like it before. The bridge issue may have been the ministry of transport, but I would have at least expected the offer of waiving the administrative fee charged by Hertz. I did not receive this offer, despite repeatedly asking for assistance. While I was there, I was amazed to find our car being returned and rented to the next customer 15 minutes later. This was absolutely not enough time to perform the necessary checks and cleaning required.
What a joke. Prepaid for a car and after waiting in line for 20 mins was turned away and had the door locked in my face along with 5-6 other renters. They were having a meltdown inside. 30 people waiting in a 100sqft room. People were even waiting in the employee break room. Do not bother.Edit: after 70 mins at Bryant St, the area manager called me back and was extremely helpful. There is hope at a location other than Bryant St!Edit #2: after being redirected to Mason St by the area manager that had ‘arranged a car for me’, I was met with questions as to whether the area manager even existed. I also had some great conversation with fellow Bryant St patrons who also decided to waste their weekend! With some significant argument I was able to leave the ordeal with a compact (my prepaid booking was for a premium car), but missing 3 hours of my weekend.
First HERTZ at Bryant street San Francisco gave me car with bad breaks, and then I had to wait 2 hours until they exchange that car. Also they asked me to pay additional $1.30 on a top to the price that I already paid during the booking (the explanation was that price wasn’t calculated correctly during the booking). When I returned the car it took associate 25 minutes to do paperwork.
If there was an option of 0 stars at this location that is what i would have rated them. Employee staff is very unprofessional especially manager Ariane Nzoutch. She does not put her customers first at all. It is impossible to reach this location by phone, so if you want to extend your rental and your rental was through an insurance claim its basically impossible to because when you try calling they never answer, then you automatically get sent to the 800 # who say you have to call the number of the location which you rent the care, which once again, is impossible. The only way to get a hold of anyone is to go into the location, and the entire time you can hear the phones ringing off the hook with no answer at all. I sent screenshots directely to the corporate manager of this location to show him the twenty plus times i tried calling this location. I would NEVER recommend renting from hertz, especially this location, and DEFINITELY not from Adriane Nzoutch. Out of all Hertz locations in the SF Bay Area this is by far the worst. The manager refused to give us a receipt and then completely ignored us and moved to the next customer who was also unhappy complaining about what horrible service they have at this location. They should either close this location or hire a more competent manager. If you are reading this and still choose to go through them, dont say i didnt warn you.
Did not have a very pleasant experience here. I was told theyd be open at 7 AM, but their gate was locked until I called multiple time for them to open it up at 7:20.I was told they were going to refill my tank for $2.64/gallon, and instead - I was told I had to pay $9.99 a gallon. They were not clearly communicating these costs to me.Lastly, after I left, there was a $30 charge that occurred despite the fact that I went through my insurance.
If I could give zero stars I would. The guys yesterday was rude when I made a reservation at 2:11pm March 22nd. Just called again today to find out if the reservation I had made went through, March 23rd, Lilly told me that she could not add the reward numbers to the reservation and that it would have to be done in person. She wasnt so bad.
They are unprofessional staff at all. They dont like you to ask questions they think that is waste time and they dont give you a clear answers they are pushing the customers just to finish and then call customer service by phone for any informations. I talked with a manager but she was unfriendly at all.And They are working on base Take it or Leave it And that is surprised me and let me Rethink if they are Really Hertz or authorized by hertz?!!
The most unprofessional and unproductive pace just like its not hertz at all.. Staff basically dont care as well as the managers, I am a gold member for years with hertz and its my mutineers company but after my experience here I have to think again,Be prepared to spend two to three hours if you lucky enough
Horrible customer service! Avoid this place at all costs. They did not have the car we wanted they claimed at first and really pushed us to upgrade to a luxury car for $500 more. They did not honor the discount I used when booking online. The sales guy was rude as hell.
They do not have enough seating for all the people waiting for their cars, and you will be waiting for a few hours. This place is very poorly ran, and I will never go back to this location. In fact, I find it hard to believe that I will choose any other Hertz location based upon my bad experience at this one.
Must ovoid placeWorst customer service everDisrespectful employees100 dishonestyEverytime i go to this location they ate fighting or arguing with the customer dont worry about making a reservation there. Because they will tell you we are not garanting anything or they will stick you with the car you dont wont even want to drive they always over charge to make it clear am only having this problem with all the african america that work there in the morning am working on getting my over charge money back or file a clam for an authorized charge
Waited for 2 hours in line, when it was our turn they only tried to get us to pay more on upgrades, when we decided to go with the original order we had to wait another half hour for them to wash the car (they should have done that before thats why we maid a reservation online) when the car arrived it was dirty and stinking with cigarettes.
This Hertz office is a real mess. We had reserved the type of vehicle (Nissan Pathfinder 7 pax) at 10:00. Upon arriving a little earlier we see about 30 people waiting in the street, as we feared. The office is very small and has 4 tables that have only two people working on average (and sometimes only one is left). After a long wait when I have to choose the car (a large SUV) they only have one that is not 7 seats as I had booked and paid with Auto Europe. What is the use of booking if you do not plan delivery? The worst part is that when I went to pay for the upgrades my credit card had, it was not accepted by its system. I had to urgently call my bank in Spain and discover that it was a fraud protection problem. After solving it, I try again to talk to the person who had treated me and tells me to get in line again and that the vehicle I had chosen is no longer available. In the end after insisting a lot and waiting for him to return to the table (I was a long time out) he only gives me a premium car (Jaguar F Type) that was the only clean SUV paying $ 425 more. And this after being 3 hours and 30 minutes waiting in the office. The worst experience hiring a service Ive had. I would have gone to the airport to choose a vehicle from there but I had already paid Auto Europe for the vehicle reservation for 900 euros and I would have lost all that money. Conclusion: Better to make a direct contract at the airport, where there is much more stock of cars to choose from, it would have been much better. And that 1398 Bryant St office is a shame for the Hertz brand. What quality control apply in their offices if there are continuous criticisms against it for more than a year as seen in the reviews of Google and Yelp? I will not hire a vehicle with Hertz again.I booked through Auto Europe website at a Hertz office in San Francisco (1398 Bryant St) which is a real management disaster. They offer attractive prices to attract online customers and then they make you wait a lot of time to get the car and barely have stock of cars.I wish I had read before the bad reviews they got on Google or Yelp because they are completely true.We had reserved a big SUV (Nissan Pathfinder 7 pax) at 10:00. Upon arriving a little earlier we see about 30 people waiting in the street and inside the office, as we feared. The office is very small and has 4 tables but have only two people working on them on average (and sometimes only one is left). After a good while waiting when I have to choose the car (a large SUV) they only have one that is not 7 seats as I had booked and paid with Auto Europe. I had to urgently call my bank in Spain and discover that it was a fraud protection problem. In the end after insisting a lot and waiting for him to return to the table (he was a long time out) he only gave me the option of a premium car that was the only clean SUV available paying a lot more. And this happened after being 3 hours and 30 minutes waiting in the office. The worst experience hiring a service Ive had. I have never seen such disorganization: arrived at 9:15, I waited more than 2:30 to have my car booked several months in advance. We were dozens of people waiting without any information, the Hertz staff came in and out without a word, we spent up to 20 minutes without anyone from Hertz in the customer area. In the end I had a car with only 1/4 full and no inventory of the vehicle! I dread the return!
Bad experience. Car booked and already paid 8 months in advance. Flight delayed by 2 hours, once in the agency the requested vehicle was not there and they offered us a small SUV instead of the requested Minivan. They made us lose a lot of time and near closing time they sent us out without a car.We had to go back to the airport and rent another vehicle.Terrible organization
Hertz agency to avoid. While their prices are low, but if you are in a hurry, run away!We waited 2h our vehicle (while we arrived 20min before the scheduled schedule when we booked several months before).Only two employees to handle dozens of orders. The person who processed our reservation, although friendly and efficient, sold us a petrol option by telling us that gas was expensive in Vegas, unfortunately on the spot we accepted but looking on the internet 5min after we left we We realized that the person had lied to us, the essence is much less expensive, impossible for him not to know it.In short, again, except the price, 0 on the whole line. And again we consider ourselves fortunate because at our arrival there were only 2-3 people in front of us, leaving they were easily 30, we do not even imagine their galley.
They treated us a little later because there were many people. But then the very friendly treatment, the car we booked did not have it but they gave us a superior one that we had booked. It is better to arrive before the time you have to queue and go more quiet. Delivery without any problem. I recommend you can arrive by public transport, and it is cheaper than at other Hertz offices in San Francisco.
Horrible. I booked a car at 10 AM and they delivered it to me at 2:15 PM. I lost most of the days sun to start my journey on highway 1. The service was terrible. They said that cars were arriving but could not say how many and when they would arrive. Some people arrived before me and when I left the car they were still waiting.
My experience here was very bad, although I am a frequent client of Hertz and I am used to normal incidents. The lot is very large but the office is small and have little staff. Delivery in my case was exaggeratedly slow (2 hours). They do not have a Gold counter and the waiting area is for just 3 or 4 people, so I do not recommend this office for collection.
Hertz or the worst experience of my life in car rental. For our road trip in the American West, we booked a few months ago two vans (group of 12 with 6 children) in the Hertz Bryant Street agency in San Francisco.I have never seen such disorganization: arrived at 10am, we waited 4 hours to have our cars. Whenever we asked for information, we were told that the cars were on the way and that we had to relax! the staff (many) came in and out without a word. We finally got to not return the car with full but you figure that it contained only 1/4 of the full! Which gift !
Hands down the worst car rental company I have ever seen. Its absolutely disastrous, the employees ignore you, the person in charge is unprofessional. They hardly gave us the car due to a problem with their computer system and the employees directly ignored us as if the problem were ours. You have to wait about two hours for the car to be delivered. A company like Hertz should not consent to this treatment of its customers. I do not recommend at all.
They tried to scam us. First, we waited at least an hour for us to get the car. When we had previously rented another car in Los Angeles it took literally 10 min to give it to us.When they took care of us, they gave us the total invoice to pay (about 350 euros), which did not match because we had previously paid online. We told the girl and she checked it and we got another bad bill again. After three attempts we already got the correct bill of about 100 dollars that were the car insurance and the rates. The latter was correct. But that if we dont realize we are blown by 350.When they gave us the car they told us that they were going to give it to us full of gasoline and far from it. Also the dirty car inside.A shame of place and beware that the minimum rip you off.
Four hours of waiting !!!! They summoned me at ten in the morning to pick up the car that I had already paid for and until two in the afternoon they kept me waiting, without giving any explanation or apology. a score of people, wanting to start the trip and desperate at the situation. All this aggravated by the cocky and arrogant attitude of one of its employees. The people who arrived at twelve to pick up the car were told that there were no more cars and that they forced themselves to pick it up at the airport. Incredible! !!! Never seen
I dont understand what everyone is talking about. I was very scared before going there, reading the comments. I had the chance to see Anthony, who was perfect. I had the car that I had reserved and I was even able to choose between 2 models. It was washed at my request before I took it. Thank you Anthony, this is the best rental service I have had in the USA !!!
In connection with our honeymoon, we rented a car from Hertz. I have never had a worse experience with any rental company. We had reserved the car until 1000 and had checked in online in advance to make everything go faster. But when we got to the location there was a long queue. The problem turned out to be a lack of cars, and the staff spent a long time finding a car for each customer. Those who would not wait had to pay for upgrading to a larger car. We got the car we were supposed to have after more than two hours of waiting. Then it turned out that it was an old car that had gone more than 50000km and it was full of scratches. We had no choice but to drive only if we were to get something more out of the day so we filmed the whole car and drove. In addition, the gas tank was only full up 1/8, so we had to start the trip by finding a gas station. We thought Hertz was a serious company and were shocked to experience such poor customer care. Everyone we talked to while we were waiting experienced the situation the same way so this was not a single event. I also see others describe similar situations here on the reviews.
Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I can only endorse the bad reviews, and if you could give less than one star, we did too. We arrived 2 weeks ago and we had already booked a car for 3 months before the trip. When we arrived, there was a huge queue outside the place and it seemed hugely inefficient and disorganized. The staff obviously had no control over things, and none of the customers in the queue got the car they had booked in advance - even if it had already been paid for. The staff were incredibly helpful, tangy to the rude, and the queue pile up. When we finally arrived, they also didnt have the car we had ordered, but at least we got a car in the same class - which is more than what you can say about what many of the other customers in the queue got - but the price was also significantly higher than we had been told on their website. All in all, a terrible experience. However, it should be added that the car itself was good to drive, clean and in good condition. The delivery of the car was a little easier, but again it did not seem that the place had control of his things. We would certainly not recommend this Hertz to others.

2019-02-19Outrageous. Waited half an hour to get a dirty car. Didnt recognise it until just before return. But because I didnt phone it in, I got billed 300 dollars for interior cleaning.Make sure to check every car BEFORE they hand you the key and return every dirty car here DIRECTLY!The chances of getting a filthy car here, seems (reading all the other reviews) very high.I would give 0 stars if I could.

2019-08-03Basically no car, long waiting hours (3 hours or more), lack of any introduction to basic car function (e.g how to use the platepass; we were fined by toll station due to not pulling platepass out of shielding boxes, since the platepass is placed at an angle where we cannot read the instructions). I will continue support and rent cars from Hertz, but will not rent from this location.

2018-05-11Super slow, inefficient. Got here an hour early to my dads appointment and it has been over an hour and 46 minutes and only 2 or 3 people have been helped in that span. Are they building the cars in the back??You wait this long and you cant even use the bathroom.

2019-07-31I’m sorry to say it was a terrible experience. I wait for 3 hours to get my car. Some people was waiting for more than 4 hours. I remember a tourist couple waiting for the car after admin task done 30´ before and the agent asked to them « what are u waiting for? ». They said just « the car »...the agent seems to have forgotten them and worst, seems to have lost the key car. It’s was a pathetic interesting customer journey satisfaction 😀. So to sum-up,if you go to Hertz in Bryant Street: be mentally prepare and try enjoy all failures to learn what not to do!

2019-09-02Absolutely terrible service - do not use this office as they have no idea. Waited for 3 hours for a car - the manager just disappeared and the staff had no idea about customer service. We had pre-booked and paid for a SUV but the only car they had was a compact one! Not great for a 10 day trip down the Big Sur with two teenagers. I am still waiting for any kind of useful response apart from an automated one from Hertz. They are obviously too big to care

2018-12-27Less than good. Arrived at 8:30am knowing there would be a line for a limited number of cars. Unfortunately, employees were only speaking to those immediately being served. No eye contact. Nothing until confronted, in the nicest possibly way, by another customer. Employee wouldnt give clear answers to even a basic questions, Do you have any cars available? I have a reservation. I asked my question, in a tone audible above others I have a reservation confirmation from my insurance company, I need to know, do you have a car ready and available?. Employee said yes, possibly, since its your insurance. Having zero faith in his Its 9:25a when I cxld my reservation and departed.

2019-08-09This was honestly the worst experience Ive ever had at any car rental place, and all of the negative reviews below were experienced by the 30-40 angry customers who I queued with for over two hours. There were not enough cars for the number of bookings. Given its a car rental company, youd think that having sufficient cars is pretty much the only job to be done here, especially as we all had bookings in advance. No one was offered an upgrade despite there being other cars available as they were out of our respective classes, we werent even offered a paid upgrade, and we were told that the management would not allow them to offer cars that werent in the booked category - I cant believe that this is the case and if this is indeed the policy then it should be changed. Better to lose some corporate dollars than have more than 30 people standing around cursing your company. It was such a mess in there, the customer service guy actually had to go to the back and wash the car himself before giving it to a client. There were two staff manning an available four desks so they were woefully understaffed. No attempt was made to problem solve or make the situation any better, we were just told to wait for as long as it takes for cars to arrive. So two and a half hours later I was given a car that had been half washed, still covered in stains and was completely empty of fuel. The fuel warning light was on and I was told to drive a few blocks to the nearest petrol station as soon as possible . This is a perfect case study of how not to treat customers and why Im sure Im one of many people who will no longer want to rent with Hertz.

2018-08-20I have never had a problem like this at other Hertz locations. There are so many people waiting to return a car and receive a car to rent it is unbelievable. Typically, you can be in and out of a Hertz in 10 minutes. Here, expect to wait at least 2 hours. The staff clearly have no idea what they are doing and it doesnt seem like they have any knowledge of how to make this process faster. Id rather drive down to SFO to rent a car next time.

2019-08-09We waited in line for a half an hour and the line did not move at all. The people a bit in front of us has waited an hour and said they had barely moved. There were three people working and line stretching outside. We went online and got another car at a different place for a better price with no wait.

2018-08-10Worst service ever, dont come here! Waiting for 3 hours to get a car already paid and booked.Staff is really bad, they dont know the meaning of putting customers first, when after 2 hours you start to complain the answer is Im busy, if you talk to me I cannot help you, I dont know when your car will be available.Great disorganization, no process, missing keys, no control over the cars. Spending one day of holiday in this ugly place. Change rental car company!
