Its a nice family park and also for animals. They have community events going on every week for example Fourth of July was great. Kids playing and having fun and the music was great. My Frenchie Louie loves going on walks and we stroll through often.
Centrally located in the Village of Arroyo Grande. Wonderful park for all kinds of activities such as picnics, dog walking, exercising groups, a cute playground.Public bathrooms available & pet rest stations with plenty of bags for clean ups.On the weekend close to Farmers Market, a Historical & History Research Center.I think also available for small receptions in the Historical Gardens.Plenty of parking. Not sure if the bathrooms are ADA access.Wonderfully kept nice so everyone can enjoy. Highly recommended.
Lovely little park for picnicking, or an afternoon rest in the sun. Several interesting historical sights. A walk across the suspension bridge leads to Rooster Creek, of course littered with a beautiful group of roosters, and downtown shopping and dining. Quite a lovely spot.
This is our local park and we enjoy taking the grandkids here often.
A great place for events and right next to the swinging bridge. It has a small playground but is mainly just a grassy comfortable park with a big gazebo.
A nice little oasis of green with a pavilion for nice weather concerts, grass to spread out on, and some kids play equipment. Near the historic school house and museum buildings. Just a couple easy blocks from the main drag of AG Village shops and restaurants. Many classic Victorian-style homes in the neighborhood.
This lovely park is a wonderful place for a picnic, especially if you have little ones. There is a playground made specifically for smaller children. It is an Eagle Scout project by a scout from local Troop 413.

Our local park, walking distance from our house, mostly just an open grassy area but there’s a small playground good for toddlers, and a bandstand with live music once in a while. Many cool historic buildings you can tour on the weekends, such as an old barn and schoolhouse with displays of historical items. Ask the guy in the barn to wind up the player piano!
Mayberry type of atmosphere. Now has restrooms.BTW the park isnt really square--its rectangular.
Its in the heart of Arroyo Grande with great places to eat all around & Ice Cream.
This park does what it was designed to do, but its not your every day or week kind of park. It worth coming out to during events, or if you want to check cool history and farmersmarket, gift shops, etc in the surrounding area. Harvest festival and Strawberry festival are great times to come visit, oh and check out the old school house and increasingly rare bridge.

Attended the Concerts in the Park a few times. vibe. Only draw back is the porta potty is always dirty and there is only one. The displays of yesteryear are really nice..

SLO Bike Club groups start several weekly ride from. Aside from that, its also a nice park when visiting AG Village.

Heritage Square Park is a wonderful Oasis in Arroyo Grande if youre near this area its a nice place to come and visit and just relax for a while
The new little tractor play ground is just what my little ones needed while we toured the museum, school and barn.

I love this park but the park only has the name, because it has no games, until this May 2017, which put a game in the form of a tractor, at least younger children can play.

2021-09-24This is the cutest small town park with a big gazebo, trees, a huge lawn, and a playground for small children. There is music being played on the gazebo regularly, including for many events. Its simply charming.

2022-07-01Attended a car club event here recently and once again enjoyed the venue. Access to the main street of Arroyo Grande via the historic swinging bridge is its #1 attribute. Bathrooms were open this year! The bandstand could stand a mild refresh but this is a wonderful park nonetheless.

2020-07-04Beautiful rustic location with a river and lots of exploration room or a place to just hang out and read a book. The restrooms are excellent as are the restaurant choices.The playground is super small however and geared towards really little kids.

2021-11-16I have been enjoying local festivities held here for 20+ years and absolutely love the quaint little town of Old Arroyo (Grande). Friendly locals, clean park, zero crime activity and near perfect weather literally ALL YEAR ROUND!THIS PARK IS BEAUTIFUL, ALWAYS CLEAN, AND THERES ALWAYS ROOM TO POST UP AND ENJOY A DAY WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY 👌👌‼️
