Just got here, not happy. Filthy, not dirty but flithy stained carpets. Dated and scuffed furniture in bathroom, rooms could of been cleaned better. Doors and walls have smears and dirt. Nothing worse than a smeared dirty mirror...not at all impressed. Not one of the better cared for Hampton Inns
I had a great time at this inn. The breakfast was very good you get to make your own waffles or cakes and they had sausage an eggs. The pool an spa was amazing and no one was there but us. I will dwfnel be staying here again. Conveniently located near restaurants and a walmart.
Its an internet 4 star, as in real world it would be 3, which is average with no surprises and no unpleasantries. Friendly staff. Adequate free breakfast, adequate free wifi, rooms are maybe a bit better than the average mid-range hotel. This is my only time in the area, so cant compare to other options, but baring any serious discounts somewhere else, I would stay here again knowing it will suffice.
A very nice place to spend the night in this area. The rooms are comfortable and clean with good wifi. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rates are reasonable. There is a decent breakfast here also. The location is central to sandy beaches, the Nipomo Dunes, Pismo Beach and Cal Poly to the north. I recommend it...
Dive with rude staff, dont even send your enemy. Staff yelled at us for a simple mistake as we checked out and made us feel unwanted and unwelcome. Other guests even commented on how rude she was and she gave them a nasty look. I could still hear her yelling from the parking lot as other guests who were eating breakfast got up and walked out to apologize for her. Even though it was not there fault, or ours really, we still are grateful there are some kind people around.
Decent room; as others have said, warm to cold water in the bathrooms. Only one of the 4 showers we took had hot water avallable, in the afternoon. Two of the lights in the entry way were out; and we were not able to get the heater on, but heater was a misunderstanding by us on how it worked. They came the same day to address the light bulbs and the heater; the hot water issue is apparently not something they can fix for an individual room as the hotel has one water heater for the entire hotel. The breakfast had a wide range of food available, including oatmeal, powdered eggs, meat, cereal, waffles, etc. The coffee was a light roast and not objectionable. We were on the freeway side on the first floor, and at least with the inside the room behind the heavy curtains, the traffic noise did not bother us. The balcony was sunny and warm, but the freeway noise outside the room kept us from sitting out there. We stayed three nights and maid service never showed up, but I believe this was because of the Omicron COVID outbreak. The reason for the lack of maid service was not communicated to us either way by the front desk so I just have to guess as to the reason. We will probably not be staying here again.
Good location, very clean and hot breakfast. Am a Hilton Honors member and love staying at Hilton properties. This hotel had a great location, nice rooms and super welcoming staff. I gave it 3 stars since on this visit they did not have any hot water for the 3 days I was there - and I could not be booked at other nearby Hilton property since it was full. I ended up showering at friends place - so it worked out for me. Kudos to the staff for being awesome during what must have been not fun time for them informing guests about the hot water problem. I would stay here again! This hotel was also very close to Grocery Outlet (excellent selection and open at 7am to get picnic items for the beach early!) and drive-thru Starbucks which made things a little nicer.
Positive: Second time staying here and I like it a lot. Clean, pretty quiet, good breakfast, very convenient location. Had to work and internet is fast and reliable. Overall great! Negative: I was on the freeway side this time and its definitely louder than the other side of the hotel, but it mostly feels like white noise...didnt bother me, but if youre extra sensitive may want to see if you can book a room on the other side.
Positive: The location was perfect with easy access on and off the 101. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Our initial room, smelled like cigarettes, but the staff quickly changed our room. Negative: Our biggest complaint is there was no hot water. I had to give my little girls a freezing cold shower after our trip to the beach, and they cried. I had to get ready with cold water. The front desk staff just said the hot water heater was out at the hotel
As a Hilton Diamond member, this hotel is the worst Hilton by far for various reasons. Your business is better next door at the Pismo View Inn, where service was superb and excellent.1. Hot water. In November, there was no hot water available to shower. This happened approximately 1 week prior to arrival. Hotel did not notify and guests until arrival. Upon arrival, hotel notified us of the issue after completely checking in.2. Cancellation. Hotel was offering cancellation (refund) due to hot water. The offer was mentioned the next morning after checking when offer was available the night prior. Hotel guest services failed to offer upon checking. This display greed for business at the guests’ misery.Cancellation/refund was processed morning after check in and promised within 7-10 business days. It has been 3 months since refund has process and I have not received it.3. Customer service is very poor and lacking. Guest services was not accommodating in any regard. They lack professionalism and customer service skills.4. General Manager Kay-Lynn Cotta. She is very hard to reach and does not respond to voicemails. Per Cotta, my refund was processed several days (11/16 or 11/17) post check out and directed me to another department, Advance Purchases, where supervisor stated Cotta processed refund on 11/26. Lack of integrity, professionalism, and is negligent.5. Hilton brand. I contacted Hilton brand for refund and still in contact since November 2021. According to the team, refund was processed in December and may take up to 30 days for check to arrival. 30 days later, no check has arrived and contacted customer service again in early January. Now, refund will take up to 8 weeks..Initially, 7-10 days to 30 days to 8 week (56 days). Time continues to extend and refund ETA is indefinite till date as of 1/24/22.
I have a mixed review after our stay on 11/11/21. The location is great with easy access to the 101. The hotel itself was clean, room furniture was a different story. We had to take cold showers in the morning (definitely not fun giving 2 little girls a cold shower). All the staff was very friendly the entire duration of our stay. I wasnt happy that their hot water heater was broken and that was out of their staff control.
Good pricing value and location within walking of a Panera Bread across the parking lot. Short driving distance to restaurants and grocery shopping.Safe, clean and quiet property & rooms, staff is friendly and helpful.Close-by access to FWY-101, with no discernible noise. Property is somewhat on an elevated slope overlooking the roadway, it’s showing its age with lack of remodeling, with most conveniences except lacking the most recent HDMI self television and mobile phone key entry. The deluxe suites are comfortable, good extended stay kitchen & sitting area.
Positive: close to our needs Negative: It was unclean and worn. sheets were thread bare, bathroom floor was filthy with long hairs all over floor, ants in sink and shower, mildew in shower. heat/ac was loud, unable to sleep. not a pleasant experience, will not stay there again!
Has been a pretty poor experience.AC stopped working so while not to hit the room is quite muggy. The Highway is VERY close and noisy but I won’t blame them for that. The hot water barely worked and after an “emergency repair” On the water today it was off all day and now barely gets warm at 730pm.The hot tub hasn’t worked since we’ve been here (three days now). The phone for some reason doesn’t work. Normally wouldn’t care but I don’t always want to walk to the lobby to ask about why I’m having an issue.Oh and super cool it seems IMPOSSIBLE to use the HDMI plugs on the TVs so that’s pretty annoying.
Positive: The hotel was standard and the room and bathroom were good. Negative: The front office manager was rude and although we asked her at night and in the morning if they could fix our TV she was very rude and said the hotel can not do anything it was the cable at fault. At night we wanted to relax and watch TV but could not
Nice, clean and friendly staff although unfortunately before checking out a man from housekeeping walked in without announcing using the passkey. I was just coming out of the bathroom didnt appreciate a man walking in on me while my husband was loading the car. That was the only problem we had. Management was notified.
Everything was fine until we left and I called (3 hours later) about a necklace I left. Nobody turned in anything, there was nothing they did and were quite rude about it. How sad! Whether it was stolen or not they could have at least checked the room when I called.I liked Jasmin that worked the front desk but whoever answered this morning was not friendly.Never returning or recommending this hotel.
Very noisy - highway sounds were very loud. We had a smelly room when we arrived - like someone had just pooped!Breakfast was mediocre. Coffee tasted like dish water. Otherwise rooms were good, beds nice. Staff was just ok.Disappointed that no one had masks on, staff or guests - very dangerous!
Adequate but nothing outstanding. Reservationist reserved accessible room in error and although I called twice to change, no success. Only one soap in room, no lotion, minimal amenities, minimal towels. Breakfast was sustaining, minimal. Coffee was one thing that was go-awful, tast-less, brown water. Again, no outright complaints, just nothing memorable or outstanding, especially for the high costs (points) paid. Ill try out some other hotels brands in the future.
If you’re looking for a great place to stay on a budget, then this is the stop for you. I found my experience here recently to be very comfortable. Rooms are clean! Staff is friendly and it’s right by the freeway, so it’s easy to get to places in the area quickly and efficiently. Free breakfast. Didn’t use the fitness center or pool, but I am sure they’re functional and nice as well. There’s a great little brewery not too far away from the hotel (ManRock Brewing) that’s also VERY good as well. Also, word of the wise, skip the Panera next to the hotel. It’s a DUMP! Head to Starbucks down the road or Dutch Bros over the hill in AG.
The hotel is awesome for the price and its very close to the beach. But the best part of this hotel is the super friendly staff who were there during our visit. All of them went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best and they genuinely cared about us and the guests here.
Check-in was great. Room was clean.Arrived at 9:55am for breakfast only to find the doors closed. Was told that breakfast was over because there was no food left. After lots of discussion and hassle, they opened the doors for us and lo-and-behold, there was plenty of food left. Staff (even the front desk) was clearly annoyed that we disrupted their master plan to close breakfast early.
I’m not going to lie, place is a little dated from the outside, the rooms are reasonably priced and the clientele reflects that. However the staff is great, friendly and they do their jobs right! Rooms were very clean and tidy. Bed was great didn’t want to spend too much time here but if I ever have to stay here in a pinch again I will pick this. This was a ghettofabulous experience that I do not regret.
Stayed here a few times before the pandemic changed everything. Really liked the room (king bed, walk in shower). Pretty quiet. No view. Loved the self-serve breakfast buffet. Only complaint was the room was too far from the elevator. Why do they design hotels with handicapped rooms so far from the front desk/elevator? We, of the elderly or handicapped group, cannot hike very far without problems. The staff were, for the most part, professional, helpful, and pleasant.Havent been able to get back recently. Look forward to it when things get better.
My husband and I stayed overnight on a trip to visit Avila/Pismo. We stayed in a room with a king size bed. The room was pretty big. It had everything we needed and it was very clean. The lobby area offered coffee all day which is a HUGE plus for us! The check in process was pretty easy! The breakfast offered in the am was pretty great. They had a very good selection. The location was right off the freeway, so it was pretty easy to get to. However, it didnt quite feel like a beach getaway. I wasnt too pleased with the ladies at the front desk. There were 3 at the desks talking badly about a bad review they had just gotten. If you are going to talk about customers, best do it quietly not loud for all to hear. A greeting when you see customers walking through is greatly appreciated in my world, not everyone is cut out for hospitality. We probably wont stay here again. Good CS goes along way.
We were delighted to find our room was obviously cleaned extra well because the floors were sticky from the additional cleanser, which almost made our eyes water. Equally happy to see evidence of how much other guests had enjoyed their stays from all the stains on the rooms carpet. Housekeeping must be kept so busy from not cleaning rooms each day for multiple-stays that they arent able to clean the hallway carpets, so we cannot really report accurately on the color, but they did leave some nice pieces of trash in our doorway so when we arrived we could notice that they dont vacuum up against the door jam. We got to try to go to sleep to a motorcycle competition to see who could be the loudest the latest at night, continuing on until past midnight. That made the constant freeway noise seem less, though it never ends. The one negative is our concern for the housekeeping staff who has obviously not quit smoking, even though it is a voluntary comorbidity behavior. We know this because the towels smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, so were disappointed in that.
We had a good experience here. We also got a pretty good deal compared to the surrounding hotels. We paid a little extra for a larger room with a sofa and kitchenette area. We needed space for the baby bed and a sink to wash the baby bottles in. The hotel, like many in the area, is right next to the freeway and our room was facing it. Surprisingly the windows did not keep a lot of the sound out. The hotel does provide ear plugs but those never work for me. We also noticed the walls were fairly thin, mainly between floors. We could hear the people above our room walk in and out of their room. The breakfast is one of the better warm hotel breakfasts. There is a make your own waffle station and a hot plate with eggs and potatoes. There is also all the other typical hotel breakfast food items. The breakfast lobby tables filled up quick but there was plenty of seating in the overflow room. Would definitely visit this hotel again.
Did a little family vacation with in laws. It was great. Comfy beds, we were all on the same floor. Front desk was nice. Breakfast was great. Pool was great. The view was cool. Nothing bad to say, except the floor sometimes felt like it was staying or something. Like I felt uneasy walking in certain parts of the hotel like the snack bar area.
I had to postpone my wedding from August 2020 to August 2021 and was told at the time that it would be a problem to move our hotel block to a year later - Ive been trying to get in touch with them to finalize our contract for 2021 for months, and upon FINALLY getting in touch with someone today, TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE WEDDING, I was informed that they would be cancelling our contract altogether. The failure to communicate here is reprehensible and has left us in a huge lurch on an enormous time crunch. This hotel is poorly run and almost every employee Ive spoken to over the months has been short and rude with me. Go elsewhere if you possibly can.
It seems like they don’t take COVID 19 regulations seriously. A nasty lady was allowed in the lobby to pick up breakfast without a mask and COUGHED a nasty, dry, flemy cough. The bedsheets on both beds were inside out...makes me think they weren’t washed and just flipped after their last use. The mirror had residue from the last persons stay (toothpaste?)I do like the idea that breakfast is prepackaged and the rooms have a microwave and minifridge if you want to bring your own food.Freeway noise isnt that bad either, room was right next to highway but didnt bother at all.
If I could give zero stars I would. The concierge was extremely rude, she made faces and whispered under her breath when she assisted my sisters. It was a poor representation of what this hotel should be. Would not recommend this location at all. I will never stay here for my business trips again and will be letting all of my colleagues know.
Very clean rooms and service was great. Even with this pandemic they were able to provide somewhat of a breakfast. It was contactless, they had lunch bags pre made with a banana, bread individually packaged, a cereal bar, and a bottled orange juice....however the orange juice tasted horrible kinda expired but with a different taste. And they have AC!!!
Where do I start. We got an upgrade, then we got it taken away and got put in a sticky room with half used toiletries. It says they are COVID clean, but with sticky floors and half used toiletries, and half used water. This is wrong. Why do we bother wearing a mask in here.
The front desk service attendant who also stated she was the “manager” on duty was extremely rude . We waited for 2 hours for our second room to be available after check in at 3:00. This was after being told they didn’t know when it would be ready . We were then told, “ If we didn’t like it there we could leave . “We waited an hour after having to ask twice for bedding for the sofa bed . Our family has stayed all over the world at many locations and have never received such unkind and rude behavior . We ended up leaving to stay elsewhere after a four hour drive and a two hour inconvenient wait . We will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone and be sure to share our experience to many .
We had a great time! We arrived early but were able to check in after a short wait. They gave us internet access to keep us occupied in the meantime. Once we got into our room we were very please how clean everything was. The continental breakfasts each morning were delicious and they had people helping out with the waffle maker and replenishing items so there was always plenty to eat. Definitely will stay here again!!!
Carpets are a little sticky and if I known how the hotel is set up I would of chosen a room in the 3rd or 4th floor. Parking lot and front lobby is on the 3rd floor. We got the 1st floor and the only bad experience we got was the room upstairs, they were heavy walkers which had to use the bathroom every 15min which made sleeping almost impossible. Best advice is stay on the highest floor.
Probably one of the best hotel values, on the central coast.Excellent staff (Jasmine and Mary) are great. I found most all of the guests and employees, to stay in a great mood, despite sometimes trying circumstances, like the check-ins or breakfast lines, everyone seems happy to be there! The small extras, as a HHonors member, make it an even more fun and comfortable rest stop. I have used the spa, workout room, and pool and found them all to be clean, and useful.. For this level of a Hilton I give it an A ☺️
We stayed at this hotel while passing through the area. Great location just off Hwy 101, minutes from the beach and was perfect for us to stop while traveling the Pacific Coast Highway. The desk staff were excellent at check in and hooked us up with a comfy room for the night. There was a bit of noise from the highway, but not too much and the hotel already had ear plugs set out in the room, just in case.Overall, great value for the area, where the hotels seem a little pricey.
No frills hotel stay. This location has an awkward layout in which the lobby is on the third floor. South facing rooms on floors one and two will likely be facing a wall. Continental breakfast was small but decent selection but the bananas they had were atrocious. We openned up one that was molding. A little concerning on the quality control but otherwise I did not have any other real issues
Clean location and the staff were friendly which was nice; however, I was not staying overnight so I cannot rate the rooms honestly. A friend of mine needed click pens for work so we were just dropping by several places in the area, asking the front desk/lobby attendants for one of their pens...and on that note: May I say that this place does not order click pens, which I was a bit surprised by honestly. Would be a 5 star rating if it was not for that.
Enjoyed our stay here. Nice bedding, clean room. Pleasant staff. Good location right on the access road of 101, within walking distance of a Starbucks, Trader Joes and other businesses. We walked through the residential neighborhood behind the hotel and other commercial properties and enjoyed having a safe place to walk (sidewalks!) and beautiful landscaping to look at as we walked. Would definitely stay here again!
Worst service. We arrived at 3:15 and room still is not ready. Here it is 5:52pm and no rooms are clean. No manager on duty to help no phone # to call for help. We reserved 6 rooms had to wait to get 1. Now still waiting for the other 5 rooms. With kids and teens falling asleep on the couches and unable to relax. For the price you think they would have enough help to clean room.Hampton suites are suppose to be a part of Hilton! Wow! I give them 0 stars.
I reserved a suite, and having stayed in Hampton suites before had expectations about the suite. I checked the Web site also, for room photos before reserving the room (NOTE their pics do NOT accurately reflect the suites). While the room was clean and comfortable, it was NOT anything remotely resembling a suite. Also, the bath linens were thin, cheap and something I would expect of a Motel 6-style car lodge. The morning breakfast buffet was standard, nothing exceptional. Parking tended to fill completely by mid-evening, leaving only street parking. I would not stay at this location again since there are other hotels with comparable rooms / amenities and more appropriate rates.....this hotel is highly overpriced for what you get.
The staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming whenever we checked in and needed anything. However I was disappointed that one of the two rooms we booked was facing the freeway and it was extremely loud, while its not something that can be helped, they should at least mention this when checking in as they do provide earplugs for you.The biggest issue I had with this hotel was that my 2 year old and I went for a swim and the pool was not kept up with at all. Leaves in the pool bugs, whatever, not that huge of a deal as we really wanted to go swimming and it is a heated pool so year round usage is awesome! We started swimming and a freaking mouse floated up to us scaring the bejesus out of me so I went flying out of the pool with my daughter. Immediately called the front desk and she said someone would be out shortly to clean up the pool. Daughter and I hopped in the jacuzzi and swam around that waiting for the pool to be cleaned a half hour goes by and no ones come to clean it up so we head to the front desk where she radios someone and again says someone will be right out. We head back to the hot tub for another half an hour of waiting for no one to show up so we just head back inside. It was extremely disturbing and Im very glad my daughter wasnt thrown off swimming from being attacked by the mouse in the pool.Front desk didnt even so much as apologize about it either. Also, the breakfast is rather disappointing. The eggs are soaking in water every morning.
Too much freeway road noise, asked to move twice did not have similar room any other place away from highway. Too high of ceilings made room cold and loud. The air conditioner/heater was so loud that it was difficult to work at desk and talk on the phone. Bathroom were clean , just you could hear others coughing and other guests in nearby rooms. Beds comfortable. Vacuuming seems an afterthought as pieces of paper were in hallway in front of my room for the three days I stayed here. Breakfast was ok for the processes products offeredAlthough scrambled eggs were sitting in water. Everything else was edible.
Easy check in, staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean, spacious, seemed relatively updtaed.. Free breakfast was typical of a Hampton Inn: waffles, eggs, meat, cereal, toast, oatmeal, danishes and fruit. Location is close to the freeway, not much to walk around but great as a home base for Pismo Beach. Has a pool and hot tub but didnt check it out. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.
The customer service at this location reflects exactly what the Hilton brand is known for. The management team, specifically Leah, went beyond the call of duty to ensure that our company was satisfied during a recent booking. When we return to the area we know where we will be staying because they have earned our patronage! Great customer service and attention to customer experience truly continues to makes the difference.Cordially,Charles MillerTransportation MgrAmerican Logistics
Check-in process and service was good was good overall. Room was a great size and the bed was comfortable. Pillows tend to go flat pretty easily. Air conditioning unit was good: fairly quiet and efficient and easy to use. Bathroom was well appointed and large with a walk in shower - water pressure was fantastic. Room 214 is unfortunately located below the breakfast room which had activity starting at around 5am and woke us consistently. It was reported at the end of the stay and I am satisfied with the resolution. Breakfast was good and a nice way to start the day with scrambled eggs sausgae or bacon depending on the day, waffle maker, toasters and cereals. If you would like something else, Panera Bread is located in a separate building on the same property. Overall this is a great place to stay in the Pismo Beach area.
Really bad treatment of Hilton Gold Elites. There was no greeting when we checked in. I had requested a room away from the highway. They literally gave us a room ON the highway. When we asked to change the room, one lady told us they are still cleaning the rooms and they will move us as soon one becomes available. We kept waiting and then another person called me after waiting for 20 minutes that all rooms that we have will face the highway and the rooms away from the highway is not available. Unbelievable. Extremely rude people. Avoid at all cost.
Although our original reservation was lost due to a problem with the Hamptons computers, the staff was quick to solve the problem and get us into a room. I would recommend requesting a room away from the freeway as our first night was very noisy. We were moved to a new room for our second night and it was much better. Breakfast was a nice bonus!
Always prefer to staying with Hampton inn when I am on a roadtrip with my family. It provides nice and clean rooms with great and standard room services. Quite often we got a spacious room instead of regular ones. The breakfast is included which is so nice for a big family. This location is not close to pismo beach. There is a Panera next to it.
Stay away unless there is no other options. For a newer hotel in the area, this has been run down. Have 2 elevators with one that has been broken for sometime, and the other broke and they are looking at maintenance to come in to repair it. Mold on bathtub, closet door broken and rusted out. Positive is next door to Panera but the highway noise is unbearable. The gals that work here are super sweet but all is beyond what they can do.
I have been staying here for work for several weeks now. They are currently remodeling, several rooms at a time. The bed mattresses are comfy and house keeping does a good job. Breakfast is better than most too. The remodeled rooms have added 120 vac outlets to the night stand, along with USB charge ports. However the lack of a microwave in the standard double rooms kinda sux (they do have mini fridge). Also, the doors have new hardware installed that make them very loud when opened, and they dont fully close unless pulled hard. Front desk staff is not well trained either as to special instructions or corporate negotiated rates. In the bathroom you wont find a fart fan and the shower curtain is too short causing much water on the floor during a shower. In the new rooms, the TV selection lacks a bit. There is no interactive guide. You can only watch it slowly scroll through the mediocre selection of channels. The picture fuzzy too suggesting too many coaxial taps for the broadband available. Public wifi is slow, my speed test usually shows about 15 Mbps download, and slightly less upload. It could not support the most basic online mobile game app. But its comfy.
Location of the place is convenient. Theres a Panera and Walmart in walking distance all right off the free way. The staff are very curtious and my room was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of parking. I did not try the hot tub and pool due to it being outside. The only place for improvement that I could see as far as a Hampton goes is the breakfast. Selection is low and the eggs seem like bottom shelf powder.
Okay. Room a bit tired but clean. Smallish screen tv. Comfortable mattress. Noisy heater that initially blew cold air until adjusted. Fair breakfast. Quiet. Flooded street in front with stranded cars but no problem getting thru high water in our F350 truck. Less $ than hotels closer to Hearst Castle and worth the longer drive after the excellent evening tour. Id stay there again all in all.
Did not expect the hotel to be so nice. There were semi down pillows with included WiFi and breakfast. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, it was a great price for great accommodations. I would choose the Hampton over any other hotel, if I had the choice.
We had such a wonderful experience at the Hampton Inn & Suites in the Arroyo Grande/Pismo Beach Area. The room was super clean, the bed was really confortable - I bought my own bedding because I usually get grossed out using the hotels but it seems so clean and new that I didnt use it, and the location of the hotel was close to everything. They also had great rates and the 40 plus year old front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful (wish I got her name, sorry!)
No curtains to close so you are up with the sun. Had to have key rekeyed daily. When I asked for a blanket for pull out bed I was told one was in closet. I finally got a blanket. 2 days later wanted a comforter for pull out bed and couldnt get anyone to pick up phone. When they brought blanket it was only the coverlet. Blowdryer will not turn off you just have to unplug. No sort of information in room about the area. TV didnt work well and no guide. Very disappointed with all the problems and ride staff. I only gave three stars because of 2 staff members. Dave works desk on 2nd soft and Cindy works kitchen in the am. These two people are very friendly and gave me local information to help my family have a great day
They had no laundry bags in the room to put our dirty laundry in also we had to wipe our own door down bathroom door front door and the handles because I saw a lot of hand prints and just brown & black gunk on the doors and handles, this was one of the dirtiest Hampton inns weve stayed at, were Hampton inn reward members but this was not pleasant, also they charged me 50 Dollars more than what they qouted me, and when I called the front desk she still didnt tell me what she was going to charge me for the dirty room
My main problem with this hotel is the road noise. Apparently the remodel included taking away the heavy curtains on the windows and the thin glass and thin window shade did nothing to abate the noise. If I had been staying for more than the one night I would have switched rooms. Everything else was up to par for a Hampton Inn.
I stayed on a weekend getaway from Los Angeles. Excellent room, facilities, and free hot breakfast, and while it may be Hiltons cheapest brand Hampton Inn, it still was appointed very well like Hiltons mid-ranged brands like the Garden Inn.It is also located right off US-101, and has easy access to key local attractions. Its also close enough to San Luis Obispo and its charms. And if I need a bite, Panera Bread is right outside the door and In-N-Out is a longer walk away.Very satisfied and Ill be back again.
The stay was decent but the breakfast was clearly meant for vegans. No meat was served on the second morning, the first morning only included smoked sausage. Who eats smoked sausage for breakfast?I guess I am just mad because nobody mentioned that the hotel is next to a CEMETERY!CREEPY!
Was called and asked if wanted to upgrade to a king suite and was given a room with a king size bed but a pull out bed for my kids wasnt too bad but pull out mattress was like a jail mattress. Opened door to patio outside of room on non smoking floor and it reaked of cigarettes stepped out to find trash and a coffee cup full of cigarette butts that looked like it had been there for a couple of days!
We went with some friends. One of our friends complained about the price of his room, and when we tried to ask what they could do for us they gave us the run around. We booked our 3 months in advance. We should have had the better deal. Not someone who booked 4 days before... a little annoying, but we didnt let that bother our trip.
Friendly staff, nice rooms, gym, laundry room, swimming pool, and breakfast. We had some a**hole guest who took it upon themselves to SMOKE IN THEIR NON SMOKING ROOM filling half of the first floor with nasty smoke smell, SHAME, SHAME!! The manager took care of the situation promptly after the room # was given and the smell disappeared quickly.
Great room, front desk checkin reps, plenty of parking, very close to park for kids, lotsa restaurants, Starbucks & movie theatre nearby, yet freeway close. Quiet rooms @ reasonable rates. Our3rd visit in past year & will do so again later this summer to visit 2 grandkiddos 10 minutes from here.O & no continental brkfst here = scrambled eggs (no powdered), Turkey sausage, oatmeal, lotsa bread/bagel/muffins, waffles n pancakes plus fresh fruit, beverages & pastries. Most enjoyable brkfst AND over-all visit = awesome! Chk this place out now!! 👌👌👌
This place is a joke!!! I am a Hilton Honors member and I feel this place is horrible and will never stay there again. I reserved a king suite and was given a the smallest room ever at the King suite price. Room 227 shouldnt even be called a suite....What a rip off. I dont mind paying a high price for a good suite but room 227 IS NO SUITE!!!
Nice rooms, comfortable beds, lg space in rooms. Decent breakfast. Near Pismo beach & Oceano -Melodrama. But staff not very helpfull, and a lack if understanding terms like near & far. This is third visit here and my request for room near lobby due to lame leg has gotten me the most distant rooms from the lobby.

2022-06-21Hampton Inn has vastly improved in the past 5 years to the point where I am actually impressed lately. This one is not impressive. Room was newer than my colleagues had on floors 1-2.Staff - super super friendly. Unfortunately missed my diamond status and talked me down from an upgrade on day 1, although I had a higher class room for days 2-3. I am sure it was because they missed my status. They apologized on day 2 when I said I wanted to keep my room…Not clean. Very dusty above 5’4”. Floors wet when I several hours after I arrived.Front counter pantry out of stock of everything frozen except burritos.Air conditioning couldn’t keep up at all during the 75-85F days. Then super cold by morningNumber of Stays: oneRoom: King Suite, first floor, 334June 2022As a frequent business & leisure traveler, I’ve decided to go back through the years and review the properties I stay at most. Hilton (Diamond) Marriott (Titanium Elite). This is my first in this effort.

2022-06-10The General Manager was amazing. Very sweet, friendly and helpful. Even when all her staff called in she worked a 12 + hr day and was still very kind. the room was nice, my only complaint is i had a small old TV in the room. I was told that the rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors have updated TVs. so i recommend those rooms. The spa and pool have an AMAZING view specially at sunset!

2022-04-13Could hear traffic all night long. The beds are not great if youre sleeping with someone else, they transfer movement like the old springs do. Breakfast was good. Cleaning was okay. They missed detail things, like there was bit of old bar soap on the shower tray and an ear plug next to the bed, but it looked nice in the room.

2022-05-16Great location 10- 12 min scenic drive to the beaches! Nearby Grocery Outlet for errands. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. Advice re noise: Located right next to 101 so call a few days ahead to ask for a room away from 101. Hot water heater replaced long time ago so we had NO issues with hot water as others complained. Clean, simple room, bed average (a little older for Hilton). All rooms have fridge and microwave. Breakfast is terrible we’ve stayed at other Hampton Inns and there were better options including bacon and boiled eggs. (Honestly, we stayed with points and the overall quality was worth the low number of points required. We’ve stayed at the Hampton in Paso Robles on points and that one was 5 stars very new, quiet, bed and rooms new and breakfast had bacon but it was full and required more points and further drive from beaches where we spend majority of time) I really with they had nightlights in the room like most Hiltons… it’s safer for all ages… bathrooms are dark and I don’t like having to turn on the overhead bright light at night as it wakes me up and affects my sleep.

2022-04-16The most unprofessional and rude experience from front desk clerk Christina Silva. I recorded some of what happened and you can find it on YouTube by typing in her name. We are Hilton diamond members and booked a room VIA the honors app. Upon arriving she informed us that the entire hotel was booked out. We were baffled as the online app still said there was 2 rooms available. After bringing this to her attention she she confirmed that this was correct but had decided not to offer them to us because they were more expensive. The expense was marginal and not an issue with us, especially because it was 11pm and we had our two children with us. She than proceeded to say that our our honors points do not show up on her computer because we are not at a Hilton hotel, that Hampton is different from a Hilton. She said if you want to use your points you can go down the road to the Hilton. My wife responded “ it doesn’t matter what your screen shows, I can see my points on my phone” and either way we are willing to pay what ever price is necessary for the room. She then denied us the room and said we would have to wait for some else to arrive and check us in. She proceeded to complain about my family to other guest that were approaching the front desk, she made phone calls and was talking about us on her cell phone. She made fun that a room is available and that we cannot have it. The person had horrible customer service skills and is a bad representation of what any customer should experience at the Hilton, especially if you are in the honors diamond member program. This lady should not be working any job where she must deal with people. If this was my business I wouldn’t want her as an employee.About 30-40min later Phillip had arrived and confirmed that he can in fact see our points in the system as he checked us in with no issues. This entire experience could have been avoided if this location had a person who can maintain a professional demeanor, instead we had to deal with Cristina Silva who acted like a child. Please search her on YouTube. On another note she did not have her name tag on she provided us with the name Christina Silva.

2022-04-16Absolutely disgusting evening attendant named Christina Silva.Checked in with my family at 11pm.She advised me there was no room. My Hilton honors points were redeemed through the app and booking and check in both confirmed.Im there with my family having driven tons of hours to get to Pismo. She sees me then says she is going to check me in- wait huh? You now have a room available. She proceeds to tell me that the room available is more than what I paid. I explain to her that I used my Hilton Honors points. She says she cant see it on her computer I tell her that I dont care what she sees on her end because shes already established that her computer is flawed. For example, me booking a room through the app and her not wanting to honor it and her also saying that there is no room when my app shows there is.She ends up telling me she doesnt like my attitude so she is not going to book a room to me.This has never ever happened at a Hilton and Im sorry that this person is a staff member.Philip, another evening staff saved the day by graciously performing his job and giving our family of four a room.

2022-06-07I recently stayed at one of your Hampton Inn locations in Arroyo Grande, California. To say that I was dissatisfied would be a gross understatement. My check in was confirmed for 1500, and when I arrived at 1515, I was told that the room was not ready. I then had to change my room and when I arrived in the room, I was disgusted by a sticky carpet floor, stained bed sheets, dried fluid on the wall above the bed, the musky smell of marijuana, and stains on the wall of the shower. This was the most unpleasant stay i have ever experienced, so much so that my wife and I cancelled our entire 4 day vacation and drove 300 miles back home after driving in that day. The staff at the front desk provided no help or even an apology. Hilton is supposed to be better than this (room was booked through Hilton honors)Update: Hilton reached out to me and “apologized” via email…. No phone call, no attempt to make things right. A promising vacation ruined by incompetence and ambivalence. Thanks Hilton, your customer service is really outdoing itself 👎

2022-05-20I always stay here for my stacations, usually in the king suite. Its clean, spacious, and comfortable. Only issue I have is when I stayed last weekend my refrigerator wasnt getting cold and melted a whole box of my kids popsicles. They sent someone up who turned the fridge up (which I had already tried), and said theyd be back in 30 mins. I never saw him again. Also the last night I was there I barely had hot water in the shower. Other nights were fine, it was just one night that it didnt get hot. Other than that, staff is friendly and accommodating, breakfast is delicious, and I love having warm cocoa in the evenings in the lobby.

2022-05-27Very Bad experience from the frontdesk. We could not travel to this property as our kid fell sick and i had called up to see if they can reschedule the booking . The lady on the phone was so rude and the moment she heard the kid was sick she went ahead and cancelled my reservation and charged my complete stay..She did not even spend time to answer my questions and was so bad to tell me that this was a busy season and that she can sell my room at a higher price and she hung up the phone .!!! I had to then call up Hilton honors and spend a whole lot of time to revert those charges.PLEASE LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMERS FIRST!!!!
