Positive: The hotel was close to the venue and the freeway. Negative: For Agoura Hills, I thought the service would be more inviting. The front desk staff persons seemed so unenthusiastic, barely said hello. Housekeeping staff had so much more of a pleasant attitude, even though our interaction was brief and friendly.
We booked the whirlpool room for the first time and that was a huge mistake. The whirlpool tub had hairs all in it when we turned on the jets and the shower in the bathroom was small. The water pressure was terrible in all of the sinks. Not only was the pressure terrible, but when my fiance tried taking a shower at 6am, the water was shut off to the shower by some plumbers doing maintenance and the sink started spitting out black flecks from the faucet! Disgusting! The issue wasnt resolved for over an hour and we were not given any warning that work was going to be done. She couldnt rven rinsr off with sink water and was stuck waiting soapyAlso the same day they gave another guest the key to our room; so we had a stranger walk in on us while we were sleeping.Btw the bed was hard as a rock and broken down; It made a loud squeaking sound whenever you move. The duvet was not the proper Hampton duvet; just some kind of scratchy blanket and no comforter. The pullout bed was springy, hard and uncomfortable.About breakfast: we stayed three nights and 4 days and everyday the hash browns were either soggy or rock hard and dry. The omlets were burnt on the fourth day.The only saving grace were the check-in cookies! 😋
Husband and I stayed at Hampton Inn Agoura Hills and could not be happier that we did. A beautiful high desert setting, even though lots of greenery around. Centrally located by wonderful golf courses, biking trails, and walking paths!! The Hampton Inn has the most quaint yet modern beautifully furnished and serene accommodations!! They have thought of their guests every need. The staff is amazing, thoughtful, and professional!! We will most definitely be returning to Hampton Inn & Suites Agoura Hills, CA!
Hampton Inn and Suites are my go to properties when Im on the road. I find they are consistently the best value for my money and personal travel needs. I stay in Hampton and other properties frequently, all over the country, so I have a pretty good barometer of quality and customer experience. With that as the background, I have to say that this Hampton in Agoura Hills is now my favorite Hampton overall! Pros: Great location, easy parking, quiet, very friendly and competent staff, knowledgeable and helpful management. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and exceptionally clean. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of pillows, the towels are nice and plentiful, work areas are just right, and mountain views on both sides of the building are an added bonus. I could go on but you get the idea. Its easy to find fault with your accommodations anywhere (as I write this review Im staying in a rather sketchy property north of LA where unfortunately I had no other reasonable options) but I think it is equally important to give praise where praise is due. This Hampton deserves that positive recognition. Special mention regarding outstanding customer service I received over 3 extended stays in the last 6 weeks goes to Jeff at the Front Desk, Kathleen (GM) and the entire housekeeping and maintenance crews. Thank you and I will see you all on my next visit in a few months!
There is nothing I can complain about. The room was clean and big, with a fridge, microwave, bar area. The breakfast was very good with many options and the pool and spa was clean and nice. I would highly recommend as it was only 20 minutes from Malibu. That was a plus for us.
Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of June. Really nice location. Close to freeway, but still very nice. There were some work done inside (looked like plumbing issue in one of the rooms with the ventilator running in the hall and same going downstairs), but it was okay. The room was clean. Personnel was extremely friendly and helpful. I read a few reviews complaining about breakfast choices, but I think they were fine for our family of five: oatmeal, eggs, bagels, drinks, etc (menu varies, so some days there were burritos, toasted sandwiches, and other items). There is a swimming pool and jacuzzi, but we did not use them. WiFi worked fine.
We had the unfortunate circumstance of staying in a less expensive hotel one night of our two week vacation. The rest of our stays were all Hampton Inns. The difference could be compared to the difference between a county fair and Disneyland. You may pay more for one, but the exceptional experience is well worth it.This hotel did not serve the usual breakfast due to covid, but the service otherwise was top notch. The pool area is very clean and well kept, as are all of the grounds.I appreciate the fact that if there are two queen beds in the room, it is assumed you will likely have more than two people staying in it and therefore will need more towels. Not all hotels take that into consideration. The beds are marvelous. Not too firm and not too soft. Its nice to have full sized pillows and four of them per bed.AC/Heater is efficient.Coffee, tea, microwave, fridge, all part of the room.
The best Hampton Ive stayed in, best breakfast ever and clean, quite, safe location conveniently off the 101 , with plenty of local services , restaurants, bars supermarkets and malls. The locals are friendly , unlike Los Angeles. Beautiful building , as well the city as Agoura Hills as a whole. Safe for children , and families , unlike Los Angeles.
Conveniently located along the 101 and a close enough drive to LA. The area and neighborhood is family friendly and close to good shopping and dining outside of the hectic areas. A good central point if visiting Southern California. The only regret is that the hot tub/spa gas line was needing repair during my visit, so that is one amenity I did not get to try.
Good price! Clean and close to the fwy, restaurants and gas stations are just right next to the hotel. The guy from the hotel front desk was very attentive. Inc breakfast but because of the pandemic you order...they have oranges, banana, yogurt, burrito, cereal, coffe and bagels
Very nice hotel. If I could I would give it 4 1/2 stars. It was clean, conveniently located, and there is a free breakfast. I took off a little because the bed was a bit hard, and we were not able to get on the wifi until the morning we were leaving. Also, we wanted two beds AND a quiet room, but the 2 rooms they had with two queens were not located in quiet areas (one was on the first floor on the freeway side and the other was right next to the elevator). The Covid precautions were good; hand sanitizers were conveniently located.
Highly recommend. Clean and quiet. Great beds. Free grab and go breakfast items from 6 to 10am Great coffee in breakfast area. Coffee taste in the hotel rooms could be better. I like that there is coffee in the room and the fridge and microwave are lovely. Nice air conditioning in the room. Lots of parking. Close to food and gas stations. 20 min from Malibu beaches. Really nice and friendly employees. Cleaning crew is great. Nice folks all around.
My wife and I made a reservation through a AAA website and checked in for 3 nights .. we loved out room , it was clean and comfortable with plenty of towels in the bathroom. The check in desk and cleaning staff were efficient and courteous ....we had a nice view looking out the window ..Highly recommend to make advanced reservation ..we are looking back to return and stay here...
First let me say that it was in a beautiful, quiet area away from the city noise and only about 10 miles from Pacific Coast Hwy. The hotel was clean and our room was very roomy for 2 adults and 2 kids. The reason I did not give 5 stars was because of the lack of communication. At check in no one told us they only offer housekeeping on MWF. So on Thursday we came back to our room with trash overflowing. Someone did come up and take the trash. After spending all of Friday sightseeing we were hoping to come back to a clean room. It was 7pm and the room was still not serviced nor had the trash been taken out. We were not offered additional coffee or toilet paper. The communication was definitely lacking. If you stay here anytime soon don’t hold your breath on getting housekeeping to your room.
We had a pleasant two night stay. The gentlemen who checked us in was very friendly and informative. Breakfast was good, cheese omelet, bacon one day, scrambled eggs and sausage the next, with toast, bagels, muffins, yogurt, cereal, and make your own waffles available. Everything was nice and clean. The pool and jacuzzi were open and had towels outside for our convenience. This is a great place to stay the night with it only being 30ish minutes away from the beach. If youre looking for outside food I recommend the first Mediterranean restaurant listed on the sheet they give you when you check in, the chicken and beef shawarma is delicious and they dont skimp out on the meat. We would definitely come here again with our family with young children. Thank you!Ps. I also think it is great that they offer complimentary female products in their restroom that is located by the lobby.
This is a limited service hotel as per the manager Kathleen which means there is no service from the time you check in till the next morning. I had to plunge my own toilet. The food is gas station food now due to COVID so you may as well just go next door to the gas station for your breakfast. Also dont tell the front desk that you may not be in your room as theyll just walk in like they did with us. This hotel just isnt the same as it used to be.
This hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms are standard of your typical Hampton, so they are nice and quality. The best part, though, is by far the breakfast. There are lots of options for the breakfast here. It is much better than any Hampton I have stayed at. Very delicious breakfast. They go above and beyond.
This is a great hotel that is tucked away in the mountains. Upgraded rooms that are very comfortable, with a good location that is close to everything. They were overbooked on my trip there, but were able to accommodate a coworker I had traveling with me...which I appreciated. The service was fantastic and the gentlemen at the desk gave us great recommendations in town from sushi to bars.I would absolutely stay here again.
Wasnt happy with my visit. The remote on the tv kept malfunctioning, the a/c wasnt working to its full capabilities and it was too hot for that and the alarm on the entire building kept going off at night. We were told it would be fixed momentarily but it took a while (about an hour). This was NOT a good experience and the staff shouldve offered something to rectify it but we were just ignored.
So if they had 3.5 stars I would have done that. Its fine. This place is fine. But it made me a little nervous that it took two guys to check me in. Felt like they were trying to solve a difficult math problem. Nothing wrong with that but I felt myself missing my checkin experience at the courtyard. The folks here are all very nice. My room was super clean when I came back. But my first night I went to the workout room and they were out of towels. Simple thing but just seemed like a bit of an oversight. Also it would be great if they had a television guide. Its awesome they gave like 300 channels but I hate having to flip through all of them.
The hotel was clean and quiet. My room (#213) was clean and very comfortable. My only issue was that the handle on the toilet wasnt functioning properly. Other than this minor annoyance, it was a pleasant stay and Ill definitely stay here when I return in a few months.
Rooms were immaculate, guest services were extremely friendly but not to the point where it made me feel uncomfortable. They provided us with complimentary tooth paste, which was nice since we had left ours at home. The bed was extremely comfortable as well, and they have heavy blankets. Overall, Id stay here again.
I stay here for business trips all the time. I love how personable and friendly the staff are....they go out of their way to make my stays wonderful! The rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. Several good options for dinning out nearby too. An added bonus is the ongoing puzzle they keep in the lobby for guest to work on.
Attractive building, clean upscale rooms with sound proofing. Beds were firm and the rooms super clean. Friendly helpful staff contributed to a pleasant stay. Complementary breakfast was satisfactory. No bacon or sausage are provided with the scrambled eggs. Hotel is close to restaurants, gasoline stations and freeway access.
The room and bathroom are very nice and seemed clean. When we checked in we found the person who had helped make the reservation over the phone hadnt gotten any names correct but the front desk was helpful about finding our reservation based on the confirmation number and correcting the spelling. Our room smelled a little odd at first and it appeared it might be due to the carpet having been recently cleaned.
Excellent all the way around. Staff went out of their way to provide good service, with one gentleman (Jeff) calling us after checking with another (Arsen), who was actually off work, about a restaurant we were interested in. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great, and we loved the puzzle to work on in the lobby. Good sound proofing in room, coffee and tea service all day. We definitely plan to return when we visit the area again, and highly recommend this Hampton Inn.
We checked in late and front desk accommodating and welcoming. Theres a 24-hour snack shop in lobby and was told to help myself to TV dinners since all rooms have microwaves. Someone in my party didnt like how the pillows, blankets, and curtains smelled (like a Febreeze). Pool and whirlpool perfect temperature, clean. Pool/whirlpool hours 7am-10pm with timed key entrance (room key will not work before 7am or after 10pm).The only thing about the pool area is hearing the freeway. And if youre a shorter person it may be hard to reach the shower head, another person in my party joked that maybe the showers are designed for basketball players (since the shower heads are quite high up).Nice restrooms in lobby and by the pool. Amazing free breakfast with nice assortment of hot and cold foods.Overall nice hotel in near Malibu and Pacific Coast Highway.
Nice location off of the 101 fwy in Agoura Hills, Pool is open, Food is back out in the Kitchen/dining area for breakfast in the morning till 10:00 a.m.(cereal, O.J, milk, Fresh Coffee, muffins, Bagels n cream cheese, toast n butter and condiments, Hot fresh Oatmeal, hot assorted food, sausage, eggs, hash browns, Waffle maker, yogurts ! Comfortable Beds n soft pillows, Microwave n Coffee maker in Room ! Love Hampton Inns !
This location is conveniently located right next to the 101 freeway with easy access to the freeway. The hotel itself has good service and clean rooms. The food service in the morning is not great so you may want to look elsewhere instead of taking advantage of the free meal.
Overrated - room for improvementNice and clean hotel with friendly staff. Coffee maschine next to toilet in the bathroom is a no-go!Breakfast area do not match the hotel capacity - not chairs and tables enough. Simple Breakfast, but works quite well. Only one toaster and one waffel mashine is a huge bottleneck. Prepare to spend some time waiting.
Weve stayed at Hampton Inns before and we were quite pleased to stay at this one, having felt comfortable there right away.We liked the lobby with puzzles, the room, the fitness center and hot tub, and the included breakfast. As I didnt want dairy, I asked if there would be a plant milk (e.g., soy, almond, flax, oat) at breakfast and they said no, but that I could buy it at a nearby store. I pointed to their 100% Guarantee sign and asked how serious they were about it. I had to speak with more than one person and received vague responses, but they did come through and there was soy milk in the back for me when I asked the woman working the breakfast room the next morning. They could have been smoother about it, but Im a happy customer. We very much enjoyed hiking in the nearby Malibu Creek State Park.
Stayed here for a wedding in Malibu. Nice location. Room was basic. I wish this place had room service or a bar. They offer breakfast, but I wasnt impressed because Im not a vegetarian; there was no meat. Lastly, I wasnt greeted as a Hilton honors member and was really looking forward to my complimentary bottled water.
I would have rated it 5 stars as the first night I was here the Hampton Inn exceeded my expectations. I came on a Thursday, was helped by a friendly fellow who was nice and helpful. The room was clean, beds comfortable, and was surprised at how nice the hotel was. Enjoyed the whirlpool and complimentary breakfast. The next night, however I waited at the front desk about 10 minutes before Ryan came up with no greeting, no thank you for waiting, no friendly smile, nothing. I thought someone at the front desk would be required to have good customer service skills. I needed some items from the store so he pointed to the area and took a call. Listening to him on the phone he was just as unimpressive. When I asked if they had cookies he flatly stated that was Monday through Thursday and made some comment about unfortunately its not Thursday because if it was he wouldnt be there. I was disappointed he was SO unfriendly as other than that experience, my time at the Hampton Inn was great. If Ryan is not happy about helping people, maybe he would do better in a job working alone. Thanks to the Thursday night guy for a more positive experience.
Rooms are nice. Bed is comfortable. Bath tub still had baits in it from previous guest...tuck. Woke on the early hours to the sound of a waterfall coming from my bathroom...water was flooding over the sink and counter top. It had come up through the sink drain pipe...double yuck. Hotel washed my cosmetic bag and replaced my brush and toothbrush. They then moved me into a better room.
Excellent! The guy that checked us in was super nice and so helpful! That was our first time in Agoura Hills so we didnt know where anything was at. Specifically where to buy the new seltzer beers lol so we called the front desk and asked the guy that checked us in where there were stores at since the corner storea around there didnt have much of what we drank. He was so nice and printed out a map for us and just went above and beyond! I wish i could remember his name! He needs a raise lol our hotel room was top floor suite and was clean, private, and everything we wanted. 💕 we will be going again!
My parents had a bad experience here about a month ago with a front desk employee who was condescending and ignoring them. He refused to give my parents a room for 30 minutes. According to my parents he seemed to be racially motivated as he was white and my they are Mexican America. I complained to the managers on their behalf. The manager followed up with my parents and offered a supposed free night but when my parents tried to book their free night they were only given half off price. It does not make sense for them to pay for a hotel that was discriminatory! STAY HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET TREATED LIKE TRASH 🗑
I usually stay at Hampton Inns for the value: High Quality at a reasonable price. I never usually leave reviews, but my experience yesterday at this Hampton was amazing, every staff member at the front was knowledgeable and friendly. They offered the usual complimentary free breakfast but also had some night time snacking options, the entrance is hard to see (literally right after the adjacent Shell Station) but the amenities were great and the staff was even better. Thanks a bunch!
I am more likely to stay at Marriott brand hotels, such as the Fairfield Inn, but in this case, the price was MUCH lower, so I decided to give the Hampton Inn a try. I have to say that it was just as good and the savings was much appreciated. This is a good solid business hotel and a good choice if you are staying in Agoura Hills.
Truly disappointed in the communication and service. I have yet to hear from anyone after my weekend stay. Travelled down from Las Vegas for a wedding. I expressed this before arrival. I asked any possibility on early check they said let them know and it shouldnt be a problem. My problem is the poor communication cause frustration. Front desk told my husband room will be ready in 15 . Was actually an hour. He didnt have enough time to pick up the bridal party and I. We all had to uber. Then I was told Ill receive a call back from management and nothing . So in management Im disappointed , the hotel doesnt follow their promise fo 10 star customer service as they claim. To me they dont care about customers.
Got a group rate here on a last minute trip to Los Angeles. We took over four double rooms here for three nights each and the place performed beyond my expectations. I wasnt too familiar with the hotel chain coming in, figuring that it was be a low-class type of hotel but it turns out that it is in fact pretty awesome. Sure its not a Hilton or anything super nice, but for the price we paid, the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms were pretty big as well and the staff was very friendly.Theres also complimentary wifi and breakfast which is a big plus. And not the crappy kind of breakfast, the breakfast there has waffles, bacon, cereal, fruit and various other items. Not bad at all.I also shouldnt omit the fact that theres refrigerator in every room and microwaves and theres a mini-store in the lobby where one can purchase anything from tylenol and various sodas to frozen pizza and candy... Convenient to say the least.Overall the hotel is an affordable, modest but reliable establishment with good, friendly service and a pretty good location considering that its right off of the highway in Agoura Hills. I shall keep this place in mind for any future visits in the area. And next time Ill also make sure to bring a pair of swimming trunks as they also have a nice swimming pool in the back...
The hotel its self was great. The front desk was very kind, the complimentary breakfast is food you can eat, and the bed is very comfortable. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because of the call center to register for Hilton honors. The call center was absolutely terrible. I have had more fun calling Comcast. Disconnected from the first call, lied to on the second call, and put on hold for a half hour and forgotten about on the 3rd call to them trying to set up the stupid Hilton honors account. The server that they use apparently gets more traffic then Pokémon go, and they do not give out any type of free points for wasting hours of your life when it is obviously their fault, even when there customer representative tell you to call back and ask for complimentary points for wasting your time earlier in the day. I am very thankful the front desk called them again for me the next morning to straighten things out for me and that is the only reason I gave this place an actual rating because I was honestly debating giving a 1 star review because of the how bad the call center was.
Meh......plain. Vanilla.......room was to small. Supposed tonhave been an upgrade.......thing I saw that went up was the price. The guy at the counter did let us check in at 4:30 in the morning when the new day switched over but then apparently he charges pretty good sum of money for that too sooooooooo.
My party arrived at the hotel at 2:45. After standing around at the front desk waiting to be greeted, the manager, Mr. Patel finally appeared at 2:50. He didnt greet me, didnt apologize for my wait, nothing. I had to tell him I was checking in. He barely looked up from his computer and said I couldnt check in until 3:00 and to wait in the lobby. I realize there are hotel policies, however I have never, ever had to wait to check into a hotel if there were rooms ready. You cant tell me that there were no rooms ready at 2:50 (without even checking the computer), but they were magically ready at 3:00? Then, at 2:58. Mr. Patel (the manager!) said lets go! and he and two employees went out the front door to smoke a cigarette! The result? At 3:00 there was one employee at the front desk, and several guests waiting in line to check in. Had Mr. Patel simply checked in the guests a few minutes early, there wouldnt have been a long, frustrating wait while we watched Mr. Patel smoke his cigarette in plain view of his guests. I have no idea why he would have left the front desk right at that time, knowing he made everybody wait, but it was infuriating. I may have accepted this attitude and behavior from an employee, but certainly not from a manager. The next morning Mr. Patel was at the front desk again, and he was the only one there despite several people checking out. After waiting for several minutes I asked for towels for the pool because they were out. He rudely told me Id have to wait, and hed have somebody bring some out. I waited for an hour and no towels. My kids had to wait outside the pool, shivering, while I went back in to ask again. Mr. Patel was again at the front desk, and acted as if my request was the first hed heard about it. I was very disapointed by the service, and appalled that it came from the manager. the hotel was nice, the rooms, bathrooms and linens clean and fresh, and the breakfast was good.
I worked here and we never change the sheets!! Its just a bunch of Mexicans that play loud music in the housekeeping room. They dust your dresser n tvs with the same rags they use to clean the toilet. Josefina the head of housekeeping will act like she doesnt know anything. Kathleen the head broad she play like she helping you but in reality they go in the back and watch you on the camera and talk about you. The best person there is Dana. Trust me if you dont want used sheets and bed bugs go to Sheraton down the street definitely worth it.
I stayed this hotel one night. And after 2 week they charge extra $200 fee from my debit card the reason why they said I drunk beer and I damaged the table but I didnt get any drink with me that night. Any they lie to me. They didnt show us any camera record either. They will charge extra fee for some reason after you left. Thats why when you guys stay the room take picture before you left and dont trust them.
This place is so beautifulEveryone is so niceBut every time I am going to the pool area I am always seeing dead bees1 time I was swimming in the pool and as I was holding on to the side if the pool the palm of my hand started hurting really bad and it turns out it was a dead bee stingerAnd I told the people that work there what happened and they cleaned it upEither than that it is amazing
My family and I stayed here on May 9 2015 I called at noon to see if we can check in earlier my room was ready when checking in the front desk guys were very nice and helpful I would like to thank Jeff and Adam for beening so nice, funny ,helpful my daughter wasnt feeling good she wanted subway soup they printed a map how to get there thank you when called up for more towels it only took a few min. again thank you oh ya hope you guys enjoyed the stawberries I would stay there again Thank You Angie

2022-04-13Our stay was very nice. Very clean room and hotel. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included, self-serve style many options. The website pictures are a little misleading of the swimming pool, as the pool is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. However, the pool and area were also very clean. The hot tub was very enjoyable and a pretty good size. Five adults fit comfortably with room for maybe one more person. The decor is nice but in need of a little updating.

2022-03-26Remarkably pleasant and competent staff. Both kind and efficient. And when I inadvertently left some items in a drawer and called them two days later, they not only had the items (saving the car key AND some notes I had written!), but mailed them to me immediately. Ive stayed here previously and will continue to stay here exclusively when visiting family. Ive stayed at the nearby Four Seasons, which is nice. But the value at Hampton Inn & Suites is fantastic and my stay was just as pleasant!

2022-05-09I was pleasantly suprised. It does not have the appearance when you walk in the door, but the rooms were spotless, well appointed. Wonderful service, all the staff was extremely helpful, friendly and offering assistance. Even the kitchen staff was offering guest suggestions of what to see while in LA and directions. He was so friendly. The front desk people were exceptionally warm, friendly and efficient. Very pleased.

2021-12-30Positive: The hot breakfast items were varied. There was a good selection of breakfast items. Negative: Excellent budget hotel with relatively modern look and furnishings. The only downside was the large number of guests not wearing masks at all. For example, four adult men checked in without any staff comment although they did not have a mask in sight.

2022-07-03Perfect location off northbound 101 after a late night at Disneyland. Away from the hub bub of LA in very nice and quiet area. Prices just right. Best part about this hotel is the professional staff, clean/comfortable/restful rooms, and breakfast is served until 10am!

2021-12-22Id give more stars if I could. We stayed 2 nights in a king bed room with a whirlpool tub. The rooms were superbly clean and comfortable. A complimentary hot breakfast is provided and it is amazing! All the staff were super professional and friendly. The gentle men working the front desk even provided a list of restaurants within proximity as well as recommended things to do in the area. Checkout was super easy. Great experience !

2021-11-26Our family was in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay at this Hampton Inn. Staff was friendly and responsive. The morning breakfast was really good and varied a little bit each day. The lobby and our actual room were very clean. The staff did clean our room when we asked. It is in a nice location with lots of restaurant options around the hotel within walking or short drive. Overall, it was a great stay.

2022-06-11The service in this hotel is amazing. Everyone is very professional and nice. We were helped by 4 different people and they all took the time to explain either the laundry service, the process to get wifi, the breakfast or check-in/out with a smile

2021-12-27Extremely clean! Staff very friendly! Just what you would expect from a Hampton Inn: nothing fancy, just a good solid place to stay in the Agoura Hills area. Workout room was convenient, breakfast good with lots of choices. Highly recommend.
