Highly recommend!! Great location, wonderful views, clean & sanitized, lots to do on campus, pool/games/arcade, outdoor grills, next to Karl Strauss restaurant and a free shuttle to Legoland! Booked directly through resort page - worked better than travel sites. And everyone was very helpful and friendly. We will be back!!
We come to Carlsbad a few times a year to hang out and relax. We love the small town feel. We have stayed at a few resorts with similar amenities. Overall this resort has large rooms with well stocked kitchens and comfy beds. Our room was right next to the kids pool area and that couldnt have been better. We felt safe and comfortable, often keeping the door to our room open so our friends a few doors down as well as our kids, could come and go as they pleased without having to open and close the door and risk misplacing a key card. The staff is helpful and kind. I never once felt like my requests would not be heard or managed. Property is somewhat small for a resort but they manage it well. Grounds are finely manicured and the pools are always clean and towels stocked. All in all this resort is perfect for families. Highly recommend.
This resort is truly amazing. It has something for everyone. There are 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units that come with everything you need for a great vacation. Just beyond the lobby there is an adult/quiet pool and jacuzzi with a bar, live music in the evenings, and wonderful ocean/flower fields view. There is also a family friendly pool and jacuzzi with a kids water play area. For kids and families they have basketball, an arcade with air hockey and a pool table, an activity center with crafts, movies, treats, etc. And the staff is just the best. Parking is easy and there are luggage carts available to help with all your gear. Karl Strauss is in the same parking lot with awesome food and drinks. The location is 1 min from Legoland, the Costco shopping center with additional food options, down the street from the Windmill food hall, and Carlsbad outlets. Its a quick drive to the beach too. You cant beat this place.
The staff is fantastic; from Angel and Patrick at the front desk to Ryan and his staff in the activity center to Eric in maintenance and Moe in operations. The pools, hot tubs and grounds are great and the ocean view is fantastic!Every stay is enjoyable and relaxing. Its close to the beaches and restaurants and the village.Enjoy your stay.
Beautiful ocean views and we got lucky and got to see the flowers in full bloom. The colors are strikingly beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The manager went above and beyond and was literally running up and down the hallway to help customers. Apparently they’re slightly understaffed just like all hotels and resorts during these Covid days but they made the best out of it. Tanya at the front desk went above and beyond and pulled some strings to get us a better viewed room which we are super grateful for. Great job Tanya! The location is perfect. Five minutes from the beach and one minute from Legoland. Karl Strauss brewery and restaurant is right nearby and you have Starbucks within two minutes as well. We love this place and are happy to come as many times as we can.
Booking online is always a little scary but we were completely happy with everything about this resort. Our condo was huge and very clean. The resort itself is great, the pools were great and we will definitely be back, possibly at one of your other properties. If I could give 10 stars I would.
Daughter has time share there. Was invited for Mothers Day weekend. Was lovely but the weather was very cool and windy. Had some difficulty getting around to see beach and Carlsbad. Would have liked location to be more easily found. Resort was very clean and inviting.
We paid $362 for a one bed and one night stay. They were not properly managing the lobby two cars were parked blocking at the entrance of the lobby with no one inside them not allowing people to come and go. We waited 20 minutes for security to come out to only move one. We had to back up and move around the parked car when the sign clearly states drop off ONLY. We got to our room had a musty aroma along with one of our towels having stains on it. They also do not provide a complimentary breakfast which is ridiculous for the amount you pay for a room. The shower also had very weak water pressure. We were very disappointed with our experience compared to our costs. We do not recommend staying here.
We loved this resort and will definitely return for more visits. Rooms are amazing and comfortable. We had a one bedroom suite that is like an apartment. Nice gas fireplace to sit and enjoy the ocean view. Staff was all extremely professional and nice. Resort is only a few miles from the downtown area with lots of restaurants and shops.
As an owner i was very disappointed in how dirty the facility was. the stairwells had not been vacuumed in a while, plus there were stains in the carpeting. The sidewalks are littered with gum/food/candy stains throughout. The newly remodeled lobby was very nice and the addition of the lobby bar was great, but could use some warmth (plants), as could the rooms, very cold feel. stayed in the time share unit 163 on 6/15/2022
On the first night of our stay, the toilet started leaking all over the bathroom floor. We called the front desk and they sent maintenance. Maintenance told us they couldnt fix it until the morning but didnt know when exactly. We had to call the front desk and ask for a new room. Considering waste water was coming out of the bathtub and the toilet was broken, making the bathroom unusable, I find it unacceptable that a new room was offered outright - we shouldnt have had to ask and then wait on the front desk to find out if we could be moved. Why didnt maintenance and the front desk communicate to find the best solution for their guests versus the guests having to ask? We also were not offered any compensation for our inconvenience - which it was because we had a 5 year old and stuff to move at 10pm at night. When we asked for compensation, we were given $50 to Karl Strauss. This was not adequate compensation in my opinion for the ordeal and we were disappointed with how the situation was handled from a guest services standpoint. The location is great if you are visiting Legoland (be aware: the pedestrian gate opens an hour before park opening) and the rest of the stay was without incident but the way the hotel handled this situation does not make me want to stay again even though we are planning on visiting the area frequently in the future. Also, the cleanliness of the second room wasnt very good - the floors were sticky and there was old food under the table.
A beautiful place to stay in with some nice amenities. The only concern is that there was no sticker on the door (to show its been inspected after being cleaned). They claimed they ran out of the stickers. However when we were looking under the cushion of the couch, we noticed a sheet hanging out. Upon pulling the bed out, we saw it had not been remade.
Our welcome to the resort was not sufficient. We have never been to this location and we basically got a map and that was it. Also, we had to request a different room as the one we were given did not have the promised number of beds. The parking garage seemed very dirty (inlcuding the elevators to the rooms). Also, not having a bar open at the pool until 3pm was a frustration. The pool area was very nice.
Changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars. Reason: we got a horrible room for 2 nights. Old, dark room with dust everywhere, brown spots on towels and bathtub. Complained to front desk 3x and finally got switched to a slightly better room but it was at the end of the resort and away from everything.Such as the hot tub the pool, the coffee shop. Moving our stuff to the second room was a lot of work and we got no help from front desk. Overall, it was an ok experience. We dont feel excited about booking our next stay here due to apprehension of getting an old, dark room again and have to move again. Thank you front desk for trying to accommodate our request of switching room.
Security may not be the most sensitive. I didnt see sensitivity training in his approach. I am so upset I cant rest unless I get this off my chest... Top Flight Security... interacting with me as if he will take my opportunity away being here... I almost called his bluff but I was carrying pink luggage to accommodate my baby kids. So I shrugged him off... Ill do my best to look dazzlingly decent and do the same exact thing I was doing and maybe Ill get a get a different result from that guy... I hope he reports what he did to me... he is supposed to observe and report. Jun 11th 1120 pm music conversation need to be on the report... because he had the energy to interact with me.... this is my report... a few moments making my way to my suite with no complaints about it until he said what he needed to say. Please tell me he reports that...
Great resort for taking in area attractions, our suite was very nice and the amenities were quite good. The facility is a bit dated compared to other Hilton GV properties, but still all you need and very well cared for. Excellent resort for families with pre-teen children. But quiet enough for adults.
We left a phone charger and my wifes personal calendar with tax paperwork/ social security information. We called back but was told nothing was found. We made several attempts to recover the items, but told nothing was found. Our fault for leaving on site, but cant imagine there is no policy to put left items in a lost and found or to give the last occupants a call. I have been an owner for many years and live in North County San Diego. I have always had a great experience, until now.
Excited to go back. Everyone was wonderful. Ryan was the best for the kids! They need to give him a bigger budget for the kids activity center and let him do the easter egg hunt again! We were so bummed we didnt get that opportunity. The splash pad was awesome, the jacuzzis were hot, the towels were always plentiful. Staff was super nice.
The lobby and rooms were beautifully decorated. The rooms seems a little small and they only had full sized beds. Our room had the AC condensation drainage pipe dripping into the shower which was kind of gross ans the pipe was really dirty. But the views were beautiful and we loved the proximity to Legoland!
Be careful about staying at Grand Pacific Palisades. When we got there we were given a noisy, uncomfortable room with a great view of the parking lot, no comfortable chairs in the whole room, and no maid service at all. There is no washer/dryer in the unit, as we have had in all the other HGVC units. We were also assigned to an accessible room which might have been great if we had needed it but it was very dysfunctional for us.
Typical Hilton Grand. Unless you have some specific status, my room is at the far end of the resort, ground floor, looking at the street and buildings, with guests above that I think have elephants in their room given how heavy they walk. That said, front desk peopleVery nice, room was nice. Internet was Horrible and dropped several times a day as I was working in my room a few days. I wish Hilton Grand took a little better care of their long term repeat visitors to the resort and long term HH.
I own a timeshare here. Dont ever buy a timeshare! They can raise fees at will and I feel like they use our fees for all the expenses and keep profits from hotel fees! You have to request housekeeping (only available on Tue. & Thur. and they didnt even change the sheets. To add to this they sent a message for me to call and I tried 2 different extensions & got a recording that the mailbox is full!
I received an email for precheck in. I completed all the guests and vehicles information and it noted check in was at 4:00pm and check out was at 10:00am. My kids and I arrived at 3:58pm and I was told that check in was at 5:00pm. When I showed the precheck in email, the gentleman told me he will try to get us in as soon as possible. We waited until 4:45pm and still nothing. I went back to follow up and mentioned that we’ve been waiting for almost an hour. At that point, my kids and I were starving. If I knew the wait was more than an hour, we would have gone to Karl Strauss next door or down the street to get something to eat. The nighttime manager Carissa was so nice. She finally got us our room at 5:15pm. During our two nights stay, our room keys didn’t work twice.
This property is not worthy of a Hilton Grand Vacations property. It is very old and it shows. They took an old property and stuck lipstick on a pig. The location is great, right next to Legoland, but the Marbrisa is very nice and new. They were doing construction while we were there to repair stuff. There was a piece of plywood on the ceiling of the walkway. No food on sight. No washing machine or dryer in the units, and it costs to use them, although 3 out of five of them were inoperable. The pool that families are allowed to use was smaller and dated, and the newer one was a quiet pool that was much larger. Overall, this place was not worth it. Book the Marbrisa.
We stayed here for a week and it was excellent. Its right across from Legoland so it was great to walk over, not pay for parking and it was faster to reach there walking than driving because of the traffic heading into Legoland (even on a Monday). The resort itself is cleanly kept and our rooms were big and roomy. Definitely bigger than most two bedroom Airbnbs weve stayed in. Location is phenomenal, close to beach, close to Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. Id definitely come back.
The Concierge was very knowledgeable and professional every suggestion she made for us was excellent every restaurant or places to see we lovedAnd we do appreciate the wine they sent us to our room for our anniversaryI do recommend they up date the furnitureAnd time to check in to provide information about the resortWe will come back again
I didnt I did not stay very long I went to go visit a friend who had a weekend timeshare so I was there for quite a bit of time long enough to write this place and this place is awesome I recommend this place to anybody that wants to get away rent for a night thank you I will be coming back again soon
Booked a couple nights over the New Years eve holiday and ended up staying an extra night! Clean, fairly quiet and renovated property. Beautiful lobby views. Room 1326 had a sunrise/sunset + ocean view. We enjoyed the msg feature on the app. During these Covid times its especially nice to request anything you need by text. Shout out to Shaquille, Shaun and especially Emilee! Quick to respond and always friendly. We will be back.
Great vacation spot for the family. The pool area is clean and easy to Access from the rooms, there is a kid water area next to the pool area. There is a game room, laundry room, and a spa pool for adults to enjoy. The rooms are great, Parking is easy to find and lots of spaces available. Restaurant are on the grounds. Lego Land is directly across the street, and in walking distance if you stay at this resort. I love this place
Great location and one of the cleanest timeshares weve stayed in. I wish they had an option for a queen or king in the second room. 4 Adults do vacation together. The parking garage is wonderful and the way they do check in should be done everywhere. The staff is extremely helpful. If you arent traveling with children, ask for a room away from children activities.
Didnt stay here, just visited friends for a while. But the place is very nice, staff was friendly. My friends had amazing ocean views and if the Flower Fields were in bloom, it would have been a front row seat! Tons of amenities at this resort, and activities for kids. My friends who stayed there loved the place. They stayed there for a week. My picture isnt great but that was one view.
Wonderful stay! This resort is very central located to everything we wanted to do in the area! The hot tubs and pool were a very relaxing time when our day was done. The staff was very attentive to anything we needed ( party of 10), everyone was very pleased! Great views and walking area ; we will be back!
Beautiful resort, immaculate and beautifully designed rooms. Staff very friendly and attentive. I plan to stay there again, particularly when the flowers are blooming. The one thing I was not happy with were kids at the adult quiet pool, making it anything but quiet. Most of the adult pool is dedicated to lap-swimmers, which leaves very little of the pool for other adults to relax, let alone avoid being splashed by kids who will be kids. There is a huge separate family pool for them. Im a teacher and I love them, but sometimes you just need to be in the company of other quiet adults.
My family absolutely loves coming here. We come multiple times a year and will continue to. Rooms are super spacious. Kitchens are easy to cook in because there’s plenty of room. Beds are awesome. Patios are nice to relax on. I can’t say enough good things about this resort. Staff is amazing!!!!
My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay at Grand Pacific Palisades/Carlsbad. The resort is clean and well maintained. Also in great location close to restaurants, beach and premium outlet mall. We were disappointed the flower field was not in bloom. Just saw dirt since all of the flowers had been removed for the season. We visited the first week of November.
Gorgeous views of the Pacific. We stayed as part of the Hilton Grand Vacation Club. The rooms are beautiful. Our room was a 2 bedroom. Pools are ok (there is an adult pool which discourages noise and kids). The kids pools and water area is nice as well. I wish there was a bar at the pool instead of going into the lobby bar but not a huge deal. Food ordered at the bar was very good.
This hotel was pretty good. My number one complaint is the lack of complimentary breakfast. Thats literally the best part of a hotel/resort. Their offering, coffee and pastries did not make up for a lack of hot breakfast. The rooms and pools are nice, but be aware THERE IS NO KITCHENETTE AND THE FRIDGE IS MICISCULE AND LACKS A FREEZER. Also their bathrooms have picket doors which feels much less private than a regular door.
Family of 4 with 2BR unit was outstanding. More than enough room considering we ate out every day. Views were impressive and walkability to all amenities was easy.Having 2 shower over tubs was a bit of overkill but my son and wife took simultaneous baths after walking at the beach all day and I guess that kept me on the good side of both. Would have liked a walk in shower for speed and ease of use.GPP is a stones throw away from a decent 18 hole golf course. Preferred times or pricing would be above and beyond. Beautiful views from the range makes the round start right.
One of the best places you can stay at. The staff is very cheerful and always trying their best to make sure you are satisfied. Clean rooms, amenities and pools. Nice water park for kids 13 and under. Plenty of activity options. Location is great especially if you got lucky and stayed in an ocean view room.
Excellent location!!! Resort was clean and had everything so close. Staff is friendly and helpful. The way this resort was designed is excellent because no matter what unit you get, you’ll always have the gym, BBQ grills,Pool, basketball court, pool, ice machine, elevators and the activity center so close to you. Legoland is a 5-8 minute walk, Costco is a two minute drive and the restaurants and outlets are a 3-5 minute drive; all of them walking distance.
Had a great experience here. The only issues wear the cleanliness of the grounds. There were dead leaves on the playground and by the grills. The elevator could have been cleaned (mopped and disinfected) every few hours. Other then these things, the suite was great. Clean upon arrival and maintained if you stayed 5 days on the resort. My family will stay here again!
First, the furniture and decor is outdated in the room we stayed in. We were in the room by the Quiet Pool ( the hours are 8 am to 10 pm.) which is fine, except we were awakened several mornings due to people swimming and of course, talking going on, anywhere from 6:30 am on. We complained the first time, but obviously it was not enforced. Also, there were several afternoons, when the Quiet Pool rules were not enforced due to families allowing their kids to be loud and splashed around. Very disappointed! Weve stayed here about 6 years ago and did not have a negative experience. The facility is very clean. Unfortunately, we will not be back.
On the plus side it is a great location especially if you are off to Legoland. Spectacular views of the pacific. The rooms are roomy and well laid out. The staff were very courteous and friendly. On the minus side our room view consisted of the Karl Strauss car park. The tap water was horrific even for a cup of coffee. The real downer though was the noise. We went off peak in the hope of seeing less kids but the resort was full of them. The noise coming from the pool was incessant and surreal at times. The ceiling must have been wafer thin as it sounded like a herd of elephants were staying above us. They were not a patch on the animals we were stuck beside though who thought nothing of their little brats screaming outside our door at 12.30 in the morning. So not the worst stay ever but I definitely will not be rushing back.
Always an outstanding time whenever we stay! We have a week as owners and when you factor location very near the ocean, the size of the one, two or three bedroom units with the amenities and customer service there are no better resorts in all of California.I need to also mention as for families with children the activities that are available make it the perfect destination for vacation.
Truly Great place to stay.Within reach of Disneyland et al to North,San Diego to South,Ocean (see pic).Carlsbad Flower Fields at your doorstep (not in season in October 😭)Great Staff, better rooms, kids swim play area in center, quiet pool for adults and private hot tub hidden in a cornerUpdate:Back for Valentines, Sam, the GM upgraded us to the Penthouse (1 of 2 rooms with HotTub in Master suite).Problem was room below us was other Hot Tub, 2:30am they decided to use it. I thought a freight train was coming through the room. 3:45 quiet again. 🤫 Wonder what it sounded like at 7:30 when we started using our Tub?😉After a week here Ive realized that never has an employee passed me without asking if I need anything (maid, custodian, mechanic, white shirt) they all ensure Im happy before moving on.
The recommendation would depend if they have children. Palisades is set up for family vacation enjoyment. Nice play area. My room interior was nice but lots of outside ( from hallway) noise especially on Friday evening. It sounded like we were in the tunnel out to the train platforms at L.A Union Station.
Excellent resort for families within walking distance to Lego Land. Quick drive to great beach. Nice paved trails around resort for walkers/runners. Plenty of food options as well as Costco close by. Resort has gas grills by pool. Friendly staff and nicely up-kept grounds. I would recommend to managers that maybe music should be played around resort for ambiance. Spa also needs a little bit frequent cleaning as people come from beach and bring sand in. Overall a great resort for your money.
I discovered this resort last year. We have had a pleasant time at our initial visit. However the visits after have far exceeded our expectations. This resort is taken care of excellently, from the grounds to the rooms, everything is amazing. Anytime I have ever had a concern they have addressed it professionally and have always made our stay amazing. The front desk staff is amazing and helpful especially Killian! Great resort!
Exceptional!!Perfect place for all ages, especially for families with kids the water splash area, play ground and family pool where great for the kids. They wouldn’t get enough with all the water fun. If you need some adult time there is a full lap pool to relax and having a lovely view of the beautiful flower garden which is right next to it. Loved the suite 2 bdrm/2 baths it was so spacious and comfortable, everything was sealed, sanitized and cleaned. We will be back!!
Dear Hilton Grand Vacation (HGV) owners or just travelers considering spending couple days relaxing in Grand Pacific Palisades swimming pools or visiting LEGOLAND. Please dont stay in this property if you:1. Used to have high level service and good-looking rooms. Youll be unpleasantly surprised by finding electrical control box in the middle of the wall of your master bedroom. So youll get used to ignore it during your morning coffee in bed.2. You like to have water in your shower. Management turns off water in the middle of Christmas break like they dont competent enough to keep the property in order without making major repairs during the busiest time of the year.3. Used to not taking too much luggage assuming laundry availability in your room (as you used to have in other HGV properties). Not the case for the HGV Palisades. And if you dont have $1 or $5 bills on you (wondering who has nowadays) you will be chasing ATMs instead of doing laundry. And, yes, the laundry room was broken as well.4. Used to have room service. Make sure that you read carefully instructions provided in the envelope while youre checking in. Palisades HGV DOESNT DO ROOM SERVICE if not requested in advance! Moreover room service is available on Tue and Thu only so enjoy your linens for two more days if you missed the timeslots.5. Welcoming service. Last night youll get a message from management suggesting you to give up one night for getting limited edition Palisade Bistro cup assuming that youre so much full of what youve experienced during your stay so youll grab the cup and run giving up $300 you paid for the last night. So if youll decide to be with Palisades anyway, I hope that youll enjoy your stay!
Great place, great pools for kids and adults. Staff is always very nice. Have to give a shout out to Ryan at the activity center- he goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable, is great with the kids, and shows super excitement in his work. The resort is surrounded by numerous things and places to go, especially for the kids.We come here every year, and if it I could afford it I would come several times a year.
Excellent place to stay with kids! Especially if visiting Legoland, super convenient walkway without having to hassle with the parking at an amusement park. The resort had lots of activities- both sports and crafty things for the kids to do. Great pool and splash pad, even a fun movie on the lawn! It was a great vacation- we can’t wait to stay here again!!
My family and I fell in love with this resort. They really aim to please. Our villa was very clean, fully stocked with a kitchen, dining room, living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was beautiful! Family oriented (but they had an adults area too) and there was a lot of activities for kids. We will definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend to all family and friends. Keep it up Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. Youre doing it right! 👍
Excellent service from the Front Desk. This review is mainly in response to the exceptional customer service provided by Erica when I called with a very specific request. She was kind, patient and very helpful. I really wish there was an Erica in every companies customer service department when you call for assistance. If everyone duplicated her genuine helpful personality in there own work environment, I believe the world would be a more pleasant place to live and work. Pacific Palisades is a lovely hotel to stay at and they will always be my number 1 destination when I come to Carlsbad. Great people, Beautiful views and by far the Best front desk customer service experience.
Our room was much more updated than the pictures online. Pool and splash pad were great. Staff was very friendly. Its walking distance to Legoland. There is no room service but Karl Strauss is right there and also has breakfast options. The quiet pool has a great view and nearby bar in the lobby.
The room was very nice with nice upgrades, however we had a few issues: 1. We had to ask for more towels, plates, and silverware because there was so little provided and the kitchen tools were bare minimum, 2. The childrens play equipment is quite filthy and needs power washed a LOT more often especially with covid, and 3. The wifi connection is terrible. However, beautiful views and grounds.
After speaking with the site regarding my stay, I decided to upgrade my review. Leo was most pleasant and reassuring. I do appreciate quality customer service and addressing the issues at hand. Although I was disappointed in the pool area, I do feel this is a nice resort. The pools are small and there are only two pools - one adult lap pool and a family pool. The family pool is really for little kids. Not much for teens here on site. There were no gift/sundry shops. There wasnt any onsite food places especially by the pool, but hopefully this will change as I think it would be a nice addition. The only eatery there is the expensive Karl Strauss. However, the positives I noticed were the beautiful views of the flower fields and the panoramic view of the ocean. The adult pool has the beautiful view of the ocean as well. I think the adult pool is nice for lounging and relaxing. I was there with teenagers and they wanted something a little more to do. I am a vacation owner here and would probably spend our days at the beach.
This was a dream stay. The room was spotless, to the point that when I wiped down the wipes were clean. The rooms were well appointed with comfortable beds, and the unit was very quiet. Resort never felt full and the underground parking was convenient. We are already thinking about returning soon.
Its the second stay for my family and Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. With kids (currently) aged between 2 and 12, there is something to do for all of them and has quickly become a great destination for us. The family pool area is the favorite. Theres also a small playground area (nicknamed the park by my 2 year old) and a half-court for basketball. There are little activities that kids can enjoy during the day (painting of birdhouses or piggy banks for a small cost - $2/$3), sundaes (again for a small fee - $3), etc. The view overlooks the poppy fields, that when in bloom are gorgeous (usually around April), as well as the ocean. Theres a constant breeze as well. The resort is located next to Legoland, so if thats an easy day adventure to facilitate. They have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom suites that are all spacious and have the needed amenities for a short or longer stay.
The hotel is great it has excellent service! Anything we need no questions asked they helped us. Id have to say this was the best hotel stay that my family has experienced. They have everything you need in the room its a home away from home. There are plenty of activities. The flower fields are right behind and Lego land is right across the street if that is something your looking for plenty of restaurants near by I definitely recommend Karls right next to the hotel. We definitely will come back!
Home away from home. We didn’t need or want for anything and it was so peaceful. The staff were pleasant to interact with and the sunset at this location is just lovely. There is a splash pad, park and a list of activities on the resort for the day and times you are staying there. We did two Activites and we will not forget the memories we made while here. It will be hard to stay anywhere else because this place is truly very comfortable. The kids loved how comfy the beds are and the fact that there was a bathroom connected to their room. Hands down 5 starts for sure.
Our family had a great experience over spring break. The room was perfect for my family of 4 and my parents. We enjoyed all the rooms amenities and either made food or ordered in. Our balcony, view of the flowers and ocean, was nice to enjoy and the kids to play around in as we were on the 1st floor. The communication between the hotel staff was perfect. Communication was done with texting and very fast and helpful responses. I would definitely stay again. My only issue was the kids pool. It’s really fun for the kids but very crowded. I would have liked the hotel to monitor the amount of people and time they were there. But if Covid-19 wasn’t around it would have been fine.
Amazing vacation! This location is so conveniently located advanced to the the Flower Fields and only a short drive to the beach. The amenities at the Grand Pacific Palisades resort are very inviting and our stay was super relaxing. It also is only 3 minutes from a COSTCO (which made a great place to buy various items for our trip). The staff is super friendly and professional. The only areas that I would recommend to be improved is to update their outdoor grills (as we had difficulty starting any of them) and update or clean their playground equipment (as some of it appeared dirty and in disrepair). Also - the washer / dryers are not in the room and we were charged $3 for washing clothings and $1.75 for drying. This was much more than we expected.
The whole reason we booked the hotel was due to the splash pad . It works perfect for our kids. But unfortunately it was closed all day for cleaning. It left a bitter taste for me and my wife, not to mention the kids were bummed. I don’t know how to avoid this but given the cost of the resort it’s unlikely we will be back . It’s too much of a chance to take for the money.
We love going to the Grand Pacific Palisades. We get a 3rd floor room with a balcony facing the ocean and allow the breeze to flow through our room. My wife doesnt swim so we are not really beach people so the GPPR works well for us. Close enough to the ocean that we get a great breeze, but not at the beach. The fact that the Outlet Mall is at the bottom of the hill from the resort is probably my wifes favorite thing, since she loves to shop. The staff at the resort has always been friendly and helpful every time we have visited.
Reservations were made on or about July 29th, 2021 by Mr. James Kellys chosen Power of Attorney for his estate. Since Mr. Kelly cannot use his Ownership property at the Grand Pacific Resorts, his POA allowed Mr. Richard Johnson to utilize the property as a way to thank him for his assistance with Mr. Kelly. When we arrived, the young man assisted us with our reservations, I had given him the printout that we were sent via email with all pertinent information. When we arrived to the room we were surprised that it was a (1) bedroom parking lot view. I contacted the desk and spoke to a young lady who was basically attempting to out talk me when I was attempting to explain to her that the room given is not acceptable. She indicated that the reservations where made by Mr. Kelly which they where not! She indicated that the reservations were made through some other source other than the front desk which was also NOT TRUE. She was absolutely prepared to write us off which I did not appreciate. As I continued to insist that this was unacceptable she informed me they had NO ROOM available. I advised her that I have the information that clearly indicates the reservations were made for a 2BR-A-O. When we returned to the front desk they young man who assisted us earlier came to the computer where this same young lady that I was speaking to over the phone was. How do I know she was the same young woman I was speaking too just moments ago, because when I returned to the front desk I indicated who I was and that I was just speaking to a young woman about our room. She then clearly indicated that she was the young I had been talking to. The young man who help early assisted us quickly approached and he took over assisting us. Yes, we were assisted however, we should not have had to experience such disregard by this young woman with her continued insistence that the reservation were correct. If I had not had my confirmation notice what would have happened? We drove for 8 hours and it was very taxing to have to EXPLAIN that the room was nothing comparable to Mr. Kellys Ownership. We did not even get an apology for her rude insistence that I was in the wrong and a take it or leave it type of attitude that no other rooms were available! The young man made it right however, he too indicated that Mr. Kelly I called and requested 2 weeks be banked, I advised him that Mr. Kelly had Alzheimers so that would not have been possible! He then proceeded to take pictures of the Reservation Confirmation sheet that I provided to him! It needs to be stated that when Mr. Kellys POA made the reservation she clearly indicated that Mr. Kellys wife had passed (information that was contained within your computers because the young man mentioned that to me) and he has Alzheimers and is totally unable to utilize his Ownership Property! My other issues are the following: Once within the room the left arm of the sofa has a big spot. It appears that someone either sat on the arm with something wet that left a spot and no attempts were made to clean the area. The tracks of the balcony doors were DIRTY AND FULL OF DEAD BUGS!The locking mechanism on the screen doors were difficult to lock. They actually pose a danger as far as attempting to turn the lock and your finger slipping and causing someone to cut their finger on the lock!
This was a great stay! It was so convenient and so comfortable. My family and I had fun. Just a 7min walk to Legoland, it beats paying for parking there. The customer service was so superb, meaning they were nice and they made everything so simple. Dont stay at the Legoland Hotel, too pricey. Stay here @ Grand Pacific Palisades! They have 2 pools, activities for children, and a small kiddy water park, and a playground... Well worth it♥️♥️♥️
1. I have to wait too long for getting my room and its not the exact room that I reserved. They changed another one for me.2. There is no Sanitized and sealed room sticker at the room door.3. The room is stuffy. The landscape around the patio is not good. Thats why the bad smell from mulch and soil around the patio goes inside my room whenever I open the window to get fresh air!4. There are some mosquitoes in the room that bite me and my wife. So, we cant have good sleep!5. I watched the video clip on your website on things that you prepare for the resort during the Covid-19 period. But, when I arrive here, I am so surprised because many things do not happen as in the video!
Your site is very misleading. I chose your resort because of description of “view of Carlsbad flowers “. No where was it disclosed this is only a dirt field except during a small window of flowers growing. Being an artist I had planned on the 8 days at your resort to be inspired to paint. We were on a cross country trip traveling 3200 miles to visit Carlsbad and use our Hilton ownership for this part of our trip. Disappointed to the highest degree at looking at a dirt field for the week and dust galore from tractor plowing. You need a disclaimer on your page noting this! As I said extremely misleading.Bonnie Jones
If youre looking for a hotel, this is a nice place to stay. They even have a nice pool and a fun water playground for the kids. This would be a great place for a couple to retreat to . The restaurant across the parking lot is nice and there are lots of nice views and private fire pits available.
The 10 nights we were at Grand Pacific Palisades we had numerous conversations with the staff and the General Manager Mo to allow our children and grandchildren access to the basketball court, fire pits and swimming pool. The rule mandated that the basketball court be closed at 8:00 p.m. (before dark) and the childrens swimming pool and the fire pit beside the quiet pool were closed at 9:00 pm. After expressing our displeasure the basketball sign was removed that indicated the court was closed at 8:00. This is the only rule that was relaxed the entire time we were there even though we had numerous conversations regarding the rules at this resort. The staff implementing these rules came across rude and mean spirited. This is an expensive vacation --- not a visit to a prison!!!!!Thursday, July 29th the day before our last day there Mo told me herself via a phone conversation that she had instructed the staff via email to allow the pool to be open until 10:00 because it was summer and she did not understand why that request had not been honored. She totally blamed it on the staff saying they were new and just human.Again that very evening the guard of the pool was running children and their families OUT of the pool area at 9:00. When I asked him if he had read his email from Mo he became very defensive and didnt know what I was talking about. After a very heated discussion in the lobby with staff I was asked if I wanted to read Mos email. Clearly I had been lied to by the General Manager and I am NOT happy. She totally blamed her staff when in fact she was responsible. It was the most stressful vacation I have ever had!!! In talking with guests all over the property --- we all agreed that the rules were ridiculous and totally unnecessary. The basketball court, fire pits and childrens pool are NOT staffed so there is NO reason to close them to the guests and their families so early. Again this is summer and a very expensive vacation. By the way, we are owners both with Hilton Grand Vacation Club and Grand Pacific Palisades. I call that double owners from your point of view and we also own at Marriott. Suffice it to say we have timeshare experience and the 10 nights at Grand Pacific Palisades were the most stressful we have ever spent anywhere. In checking out the atmosphere and rules at Marbrisa and Marriotts Vacation Club property in Huntington Beach we found that the rules were much more like summer vacation rules with early openings and late closing and the atmosphere was fun, upbeat and inviting. Much different from Grand Pacific Palisades.I could go on and on because we also had huge reservation and booking problems to the point we were given the option to be moved to the penthouse for the last 5 nights to help make up for the mistakes that were made. However, it took us all day Sunday to move and not one Grand Pacific Palisades employee offered to help.So NO we cannot recommend this property to anyone any more. We have been coming to this property for many years and have experienced a fair number of issues but this year was the worst and these issues were totally avoidable and the result of poor management, poor staff training and poor leadership. We were celebrating one our grandkids birthday and this was our first time staying at the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. It was super convenient because it was just a short walk to Legoland and a short drive to other attractions, restaurants in the area. The hotel itself was a real treat for the seven of us, two great pool areas one that was a family theme with a water park and spa, the other was more of an adult pool but kids were allowed to with 3 lap lanes that took up half of the pool, a large spa and some gas fire pits to sit around. A nice bar in the front lobby, the hotel staff were excellent, onsite Karl Strauss restaurant was great, and the room was more than we expected. We plan on returning for our other grandkids birthday and highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great place to spend the weekend or week in the Carlsbad/San Diego area.
First-Our room at the resort had a refrigerator that never got cold when asked about it the maintenance personnel shrugged his shoulders and said its old and they dont want to buy new.Second-I do understand we live in a new world with covid 19 policies but that doesnt explain why our towels were never changed the three days we were there. Even after going to the front desk personally and asking we were never given or brought clean towels. The resort would have received a 5 star but its simple things like that, that people remember.
My family and I could not be more pleased with our recent stay - it was a perfect getaway in large part due to the facilities and staff of Grand Pacific Palisades. We want to give a special shout out to Killian and Sam for their above-and-beyond service. Cant wait to see you again.
Fantastic ocean views over the flower fields (but not roght on the ocean, about a 5 minute drive to the pacific ocean) . half the resort is a hilton hotel so the lobby and such are fairly high end. There is a nice adult lap pool and jacuzzi with a dedicated bar and live acoustic band in the evenings. BBQ and basketball courts and proximity to all of carlsbad fine dining and east freeway access. Awesome!
Wow! This is by far the most kid friendly hotel ever! We had so much fun and will definitely come back. The place was very clean and well sanitized. The room is very spacious. And we loved the fact that the pool and splash pad is open till 9 pm. Hope to go back next time!
Stayed in a one-bedroom suite at the end of June. The resort is great. Excellent location close to everything: Costco is across the road, so is Lego Land. Many restaurants nearby. Walmart, Trader Joes are a short (10 min) ride. Carlsbad State beach (free) is about 10 minutes, as well. Very clean (no weird smells, no bugs). Very nice, modern room furnishings. The sofa in the living room is quite comfortable. A bit weird layout (instead of the single bathroom with bathtub, shower, toilet, sink, and room to play mini golf, Id rather have two small bathrooms with toilets, but that would be something for the architects to consider). Personnel was great: very responsive for requests (towel replacements, quick fixes). Its nice that they have carts for easy of moving in and out. Did not really use pools, but they seemed a bit crowded. The only complaint from our stay would be dismal WiFi. Our streaming device (Amazon Fire TV Stick) did not work at all: it would get connection, authenticate via captive portal, but after a few seconds or a couple of minutes, the internet connection would drop requiring another captive portal authentication (after trying it for a few days, we gave up). Other devices (phones, tablets) had more luck, but still struggled with connectivity. Id say that it was the worst WiFi Ive seen at hotels and resorts (the streaming device issue was really bizarre, but the front desk told me it was a common complaint). On the positive side, bad WiFi gave us more time to do other things. :-) Everything else was perfect. Would gladly come to visit again.
For as much as i paid to stay for the week, so many small things feel cheap. charging for lobby coffee is just one example. 10:00 checkout time feels like just an excuse to hit me for more money.generally speaking the staff was helpful enough - ryan in the activity center is awesome.kids pool area is pretty nice. drink and/or food service there would make it perfect.wifi is meh.i see a coffee machine behind the lobby bar - surely you can sell espresso drinks in the morning.i wasnt planning on posting a public review but your survey asked me to 🤷
Didn’t have a resort feel to it. We’ve stayed at multiple Hilton Grand Vacations and this was our least favorite. For our family washer and dryers in the room are a must because of the length of travel. We do understand this is a hard time but seeing our room and being told we don’t have any options after opening the door to move to a room that accommodates my families need was a disappointment. Especially after planning this vacation for over 3 months in advance. We ended our vacation and decided to go elsewhere.
Exceptional resort, very roomy and clean and most of all, wonderful staff all around. Killian at the front desk was amazing, he checked us in and made sure we were happy with our rooms, exceptionally helpful throughout our whole stay....great customer service!! I am definitely visiting again very soon!!
The room we were given was next to the kids play yard and basketball court. Wrong place for senior citizens who were hoping for a restful week. The basketballs start bouncing Monday morning at 7:30. The kids playing in the play sets started screaming at 8:00 and a 2 year old knock on our door at 8:30. The parent said she was sorry, but it knock on the door several more times. This type behavior continued all week. On Thursday a sign was posted on the basketball court about hours of use which did help the bouncing noise. The room itself was okay except the furniture is really uncomfortable and could use a good upholstery cleaning. The internet connection was sporadic after the “update” mid week. The grounds seem to have deteriorated over the last few years. The flower beds are showing their age and should be replanted. They are not up to the standards when we initially purchased our unit.As owners we will be back, but this year will not be one of our favorites. Or maybe we just use it for trading on RCI.
Beautiful and spacious rooms with full kitchen. Close to many things. Perfect for family with kids, right next to Legoland. Very helpful and friendly staff. We plan to come back in April to see the flowers field (in front of the resort). Breathtaking sunset everyday from our room.
The place is clean and the desk staff is very professional. The room itself was furnished with the cheapest and most uncomfortable sofa, chairs, bed and poor quality appliances that are available. I have stayed in many Hilton hotels and never ran into the low end of comfort as much as here. The good news is the staff was well trained to Covid and it clearly was not an issue to worry about being at any risk.
I actually bought into this place as a timeshare. The place is really nice w/beautiful views. I paid into it for 3 years with 2 more to go. Unfortunately I never got to actually stay there. I lost my timeshare cause I came down sick & couldnt work as a result and couldnt make my payments. 1 year later I found a trustworthy doctor that properly diagnosed me as having staph and put me on antibiotics 4 times a day for a month. Dr. Said if I waited another 5 months, I would of been dead. Wish I could of kept my timeshare. At least Im Strong,Healthy, & Alive.
Absolutely stunning resort! Landscaping was amazing and well kept. The gentleman that checked me in was so pleasant, and very personable. The room was in pristine condition, soft towels, they have a Keurig that came with coffee and tea (not a coffee drinker, so happy to have options) and the bed was so comfortable. Upon checking out, all of three of the staff were smiling and very polite. Overall a great experience, it was my first time staying at this resort and I will be back!
The resort is great! The kids area is great for all ages offering a play area with water features and a family friendly pool. There is also an outdoor playground area to help occupy your little ones. There are a lot of food options nearby and you are close to the beach. The only issues we experience were older furniture that was not comfortable to sit on and the second bedroom lack air circulation and was uncomfortably hot throughout the night. But we fixed that with a box fan provided by the resort. This resort is recommended for its location and kid friendly amenities.
We enjoyed our stay at Grand Pacific Palisades Resort. The rooms were comfortable, clean including the linen and towels. Every thing worked no maintenance issues to report. The property is very nice and clean and sanitizers in many locations. Very quiet place. The pools are beautiful and the water is warm.
I have grown up spending time at this location. It has been fun seeing the growth of the campus. Great family setting. But comfortable for couples as well. The flower fields are gorgeous. The view if the ocean is stunning. It always has a clean feeling whether in the room or out around the grounds.
Just spent 4 days 5/2/21 _ 5/7/21 at the Grand Pacific palisades access to legoland was a 5 minute walk weve stayed at legoland before and this is my go to resort pool was heated not crowded facilities were clean and the room was a 750sq ft apartment with a fire place and a balcony with a ocean view including the flower fields. The only negative on our second walk over to legoland theres is a access gate for hotel guest to use and it was locked maybe legoland security opened it late so we had to drive over and park another guest we saw said they use the hotels shuttle as a alternative. The rates were reasonable, the kitchen had all the necessary utilities and two flat screen tvs well worth the stay check out my you tube channel THA KAPLENZ for videos of the property 😀
Not really sure where to begin with this one, but my son was assaulted by occupants that hadnt a room or time share and were just visiting apparently. Management thought a bottle of wine and some chocolate would be fitting for their condolences. Yet, have security micromanaging at the adults only pool to make sure guests are out at the top of the hour. California in general needs a crash course in etiquette!!!
10am check out is completely unacceptable. How is that conducive to resting and relaxing if you have to be up, packing with children, and out the door by 10am? And despite negotiating a 10:30 check out because there was no ‘afternoon manager’ there. I was charged $100 without so much as the curtesy of the phone call I requested. Not again and won’t recommend. Unprofessional and left a bad impression.
We LOVED our stay. We originally booked for 3 nights and were set to move to a hotel in San Diego city but we decided to extend our stay here and stayed a total of 6 nights and just made day trips to various places with no more than a 45min drive which was super easy. The kids and adults loved the range of facilities and activities available and included in staying at the resort. The 2 bedroom condo we stayed in was lovely and spacious and well equipped with a kitchen. The Karl Strauss brewery restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay here.
I love staying at Grand Pacific Palisades with my little kids who love to play in the kids water structure.I love the view from my unit facing the flower field and the pool. The resort locates right across the street of Costco, legoland and so close to outlet and flower field. You dont have to drive and pay for legoland parking, but just cross the street to get to their parking. Easily get whatever you need from Costco.
Our stay at the Grand Pacific Palisades in Carlsbad was excellent. The staff was so pleasant and accommodating and the COVID precautions were seamless. We truly enjoyed the visit and appreciated the staff and guests for making it safe. The setup of this resort makes it a perfect family destination with the splash pad and family pool. The adults can enjoy the beautiful quiet pool and accommodations. Definitely will return to this resort.
1. The Adult pool is now open to children that are noisey, loud and are not controlled by parents. They have their own pool which they should be using.2. Bedroom windows were dirty on the outside for ages.3. Coffee table had started to delaminate.4. Stuffed chair has a broken base.5. Arms on stuffed chair were filthy as was the cushion.6. Assigned us, an older couple, a room under a family with children that were running all the time.7. Seapoint has a desk in large bedroom for using and charging cells, laptops, Kindles. There was nowhere to setup a laptop except the dining room table.8. Towels were not changed out on Wednesday as has been done in past.Experience was not up to Pacific Palisades standards. Very disappointing. Starting a downslide that I hate to see. You can do alot better.
First time visiting. We liked how easy it was to get there and park. The room was really nice, and it overlooked the pool, which we thought was pretty cool. The pool with the splash pad was a little underwhelming, and the jacuzzi was barely warm. Probably meant for the kids. Splash pad needed some maintenance, but it wasnt too bad. The other jacuzzi was awesome, overlooking the flower fields and beyond. Didnt get a chance to do too much exploring. This was about the extent that we did on our quick stay. We would definitely return.
Amazing views w a 5-7min walk to Legoland. We got a 2 bedroom suite for our family w 4 kids. It was perfect having the kids in a separate room w their own bathroom. We also loved having a full kitchen stocked w kitchen basics for cooking/eating! The beds are a little firmer than i personally prefer, but still a great stay! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Planning on staying there again soon!
Hotel location is perfect! Sits a top a hill so you can see beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Ocean is 1 mile away. We walked it one morning. Hotel has extra fees for parking and an extra $20 fee per night like a destination fee. Then they give you a $20 card to use at bar or restaurant. Hotel front desk attendants were so awesome, extremely helpful and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Beds were comfy.
My family enjoyed our stay here. We loved that they have villas with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We also loved the landscaping all around the grounds and the views of the ocean. The flowers smelled so good, and my kids were excited to see so many snails and birds. We even saw a Hummingbird. The walk to Legoland was very convenient. The staff with very nice. It was clean.
Ryan was the highlight of our stay. He had a very upbeat, outgoing, compassionate, kind, and caring attitude towards everyone. Every single second. The heated pool, Jacuzzi, and mini water park were amazing along with the view of the ocean and flower field. The rooms were kept clean and were very spacious. The complimentary activities were also very fun. It kept us busy and in the know with the community. I also liked the carts where we could put our stuff on and roll it to our room. Only issue was in the morning the heavy carts would be rolled around making lots of noise. Also the blender was a little weak. The help desk was extremely helpful with places to eat and questions about the place itself. Ryan and the two ladies at the activity center really pushed me over to 5 stars instead of 4. Im sorry I dont remember their names.
If you have researched this place you are on the right track.. of the Coaster and Amtrak that is. This complex sits right next to the tracks so you will have train horns from 8 AM to 1015 PM. Otherwise, this property is great. 2 bedroom units on the upper level are awesome. Vaulted ceiling and spacious. This place is kid friendly. There is a splash pad and kids pool. Adults have access to an adult only pool. A little bit of a trek to the beach if you walk, but once there it has a nice beach. 5 star facility if closer to the beach
Great location..convenient to restaurants and interstate access. Such friendly staff....EVERYONE!! Family friendly, many amenities, clean and comfortable! Beautiful accommodations, front lobby!! Anything you want to do....shoot baskets, swim, relax, activity center for kids. We had a great time!!! Couldnt be smiling more!!!!
The place is okay. But I have to give it only three stars because of the beds. They were so hard! I hardly slept all 3 nights I was there. The sheets werent soft and they smelled like they have been laid out for weeks and not washed. Like a dusty smell if that makes any sense. There were also stains on the comforter 🙄 I hope they were stains and not just left unwashed by the previous visitors. My thoughts are its meant for family with kids. Not luxury if thats what youre looking for.
It is a nice place. But I probably pass on staying there again. When we first arrived we couldnt check in. Our reservation was through Hilton Grand Vacations. When we tried to check in we were told our reservation was cancelled the day before. WHAT!. The front desk guy was great tho. But for some reason it showed cancelled on their end even tho on the hilton website it was showing the reservation active. (I believe this resort isnt hilton owned so a lot of room for mistakes). After awhile we finally got a room. Nice room and would have a good view if the flower field was in bloom. Downside we were on the first floor so the kids upstairs were running around. So you can hear everything. We have two kids so we werent tripping too much because we were out mostly. We had two rooms. The king bed was nice and new. The full/queen size bed was a bit lumpy. One plus is there is a nice pool area for kids. The splash area has super cold water. Another thing during the pandemic, unless you stay more than five days no one will clean your room. I am not sure if you call front desk and ask but we didnt need it.Overall, it is a good place for familes and if legoland is open it is a convenient location. But it just not for us.
As soon as I opened the door to our timeshare I was in awe. The kitchen is roomy and filled with everything I need to cook! The living room opens up to a balcony with a chaise and a cafe table and chairs. I cant say that overlooking the parking lot was a good view but it was nice to have a balcony. The two rooms were spacious! The king bed in the master was luxurious and I slept with no problems. The other room had a full size bed and a twin bed. The shower in both bathrooms had adjustable water pressure and different settings to use. The pools were both quiet this time of the year. There are so many activities to fill the day at the resort if you dont feel like leaving. The room attendants were superior always leaving the room as if I never made a mess. I cant wait to come back.
Next door to Legoland, which is convenient, but staff failed to inform us we would be getting a handicap-access room with half a sink and a wired configuration. Hot tub was luke warm. Elevator was broken. Had to lug few hundred pounds of luggage up 3 flights. First and last visit to GPPR.
The rooms itself were very nice, no complaints. We did however have three nights (out of 4) of very interrupted sleep. First night there, I had to call front desk because a large group were playing basketball right below our room at 10:40 pm. They did send Someone but that took 15 minutes and my kids had already been woken up. The second night someone rang our doorbell right after midnight and woke us all up, then the third night the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night for 20-30 minutes. We don’t be staying here again, many of the people at pool were not even guests of hotel. No one had to use the room key to get in even there there is a sign. We saw large families at pool, who then said “thanks for having us” to their friends and packed up and left hotel. Overall, I believe for the price, the actual hotel seems very run down.
I enjoy coming here with my family and grandchildren. The minute you walk into register you are greeted with a friendly welcome and smile. Everyone is extra friendly and helpful. My grandchildren love the pool and especially the splash pad. They have activities for their guest. While we were there this time the were doing renovations in Villa C, but it didnt interfere with our stay. Suites, game room, activity room and fitness center are up to date. A walk away from Karl Strauss Brewery and Restaurant. We enjoy the gorgeous ocean view. We will definitely be returning for more family vacations.
The location was perfect to visit Legoland. It was a lovely walking distance. The room was super cozy. But the construction was a distraction to all of this hotel’s splendor. We had to walk through a lot of it so didn’t feel as comfortable. We would have loved to stay near the kids splash pad area for our little one to enjoy. However, would stay again status post renovations.
When we arrived to our room, there were multiple hairs on our welcome towel on the bed, plus pubic hairs in the shower & sink and on the bathroom towels hanging in the bathroom, and hair hanging off back and top of toilet. We took the welcome towel to the front desk to show them. They said they would send housekeeping right away to fix everything else. We went out for 3-4 hours, came back, and the room still wasn’t cleaned. We called again and they said they’ll send someone. Took another 45 minutes for someone to show up. I then asked what they could do for us for the inconvenience and the front desk offered free breakfast & $75 gift card to Karl Strauss. The gesture was nice, but for the gift card, no one told us we had to dine at the one on the property so we had to order food last minute for our drive back since I was thinking we could use it at any location. Lastly, the bed was too firm.
This place is amazing! My family of 4 stayed in the 1 bedroom facing the ocean. We had such a beautiful view. Cant wait to come back next year after all the construction has finished.Could be cleaner though. The tops of all the counters and furniture had brown residue and the hardwood floors were pretty dirty.
Condo units were perfect for a family vacation, with full kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Beds were super comfortable! Family pool was fun, even had flossies and pool toys for the kids. Excellent location near Lego Land and beautiful beaches. Only negative is that house keeping services were just OK,. Not excellent, and only restaurant on site is a bar & grill that offers delivery.
There was too much noise, coming from the room upstairs, that we struggled sleeping at night and early in the morning. The staff did not address our multiple calls and requests to move rooms. We ended up canceling the remainder of our stay and booked an Airbnb. Will not stay here again.
We found miscellaneous items in our room and the showers looked dirty with hair still in them which made us feel Like the room wasn’t cleaned very well. The room wasn’t cleaned when we came back and there wasn’t social distancing in the pool area. Parking is also very low considering we have a large truck was inconvenient to walk across the street with all our baggage or anytime we needed to go to the vehicle.
Great Family Resort Condos. Lots of activities for kids. Spacious condo accommodations with great ocean views. Ryan at activities center kept my granddaughter busy with projects. Tony and Maureen keep resort personnel on their toes so that guest needs are met throughout your stay. What a wonderful crew!
Honestly a bit disappointed. A step up from the Best Western down the road. The location is great. View is beautiful. Standard double queen is a step up from average. The room is very clean! Staff is friendly however seems busy and a bit inattentive, specifically the bartender. Sorry, he took our order then disappeared. A manager brought my order and forgot part of it so we had to wait longer. My food was cold and soggy. BUMMER.

2022-05-02Lovely resort. We really enjoyed the pool. The family area spa is a little cooler than I would like as an adult, but it was lovely for the kids to be able to enjoy it (and there is an adult pool/spa available area as well). The room/suite in Villa D was perfect for our family of 4, with a very spacious kitchen and living area and a wonderfully comfortable King sized bed in a separate bedroom. Easy walk to Legoland and beautiful view over the flower fields and of the ocean. The guest policies were very accommodating, including allowing us to stay and use the pool and resort amenities after checkout, and parking was valid till the end of day as well. Wed definitely like to stay here again.

2022-04-09Great place to stay for family. The rooms are large and clean. It has a regular size kitchen if you want to make your own meals with all the utensils you’ll need. There’s also grills available on the grounds. Staff was friendly and welcoming. There’s separate pool areas where kids can play and swim. Another for adults to relax and it has beautiful surroundings. We would definitely go back again.

2022-01-14Really great family hotel! This place is great for families, the full kitchen makes everything much easier if you are traveling with kids. We were able to store all the essentials for our 3, and 1 year old. The room was extremely clean and they even provided a pack n play for our 1 year old. The furniture is a bit outdated but is in really great condition. Overall the customer service was great but can improve in some aspects. I would definitely stay here again. We were able to walk to Legoland, it took us about 8 minutes. There is no bell service or Valet, so its a bit of a bummer. There are 2 hotels in the same building. The desk for this one is on the right when you walk in and the Hilton on the left. The bar was also very convenient, and Karl Strauss is also on the property. We will definitely stay here again.

2022-06-07I loved this property because of the facilities, rooms completely renovated and well maintained. Location is really convenient with tons of things to do and attractions nearby.Customer care was excellent and they were prompt to reply or take care of our needs.Air conditioner was okay during the day and night but it usually got hotter around 4AM every day. Perhaps it was the issue that outside got colder and AC was locked to be 68F the lowest, perhaps that made it warmer inside turning off the AC. Besides that, we could not do a late check out around 11AM or 12PM and had to do our check out early Sunday at 10AM. Besides these two aspects, I do not have any other issue to report and I would recommend this property to anyone.

2022-04-29The price, at an average of $165/night + resort fees was amazing. However, it was definitely a $165/night room. Our room was clean but it definitely needed updating. There were cracked tiles in the kitchen and bathroom, a very minimally equipped kitchen, and semi broken furniture. The family pool was clean and lovely but the splash pad area was older and some of it didn’t work with was a bummer for my toddler. Check in was interesting, the associate that helped me wasn’t overly friendly and didn’t tell me anything about the resort. Just gave me keys, a map, and our room number. Overall 3/5 experience.

2022-02-06Had a great stay here. Big condo units, probably refreshed ten years ago, but nice. Enjoyed the ocean views from our deck. Nice pools and hot tubs.Work out room had good equipment, nice new dumbells. Could use some more cable pull down attachments.Friendly staff were always helpful. Also good location.

2021-12-28Beautiful, updated, clean apartment-style room complete with kitchen, pantry, dining table, sofa (pulls out to bed), bedroom with king bed and large bathroom. Plenty of underground parking. Our kids loved that there was a pool, kid water play structure, ping pong table and regular play structure. Very close (walkable) to Legoland and the Museum of Making Music. Karl Strauss Brewer is on site and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. Other restaurants are a short walk away as well. Great customer service and super easy check in/out process. We would stay again.

2022-03-27Best hotel Ive ever stayed in. The rooms were super clean. As a family with kids I loved having extra amenities like splash pad, playground, ping pong, air hockey etc. They also have a bar and fire pits and areas for adults to hang.Having 2 beds and baths and a full kitchen is amazing. We will for sure come back and check out their other properties. We realized to make a hotel stay enjoyable with 3 small kids we have to have 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. My only small complaint is we had other family and got two rooms. Their room (152) was just like photos in website with a fireplace and all updated. Ours was room room 150 and it was still very nice but no fireplace which I was bummed about and a little older and dated looking compared to our other families room.We wanted to go to the flower farm garden but didnt realize you had to book ahead. Their is also a music museum we didnt know about. There is a lot to do between the hotel grounds and walking distance places but we needed to plan better so we knew about everything and got tickets ahead of time.

2022-05-041) Unless I missed something I was completely unaware that I was renting a time share. That being said I came down to visit the flower fields with my wife. I expected to check in in the early afternoon not the early evening. Why you think it’s acceptable to expect potential visitors to check in at 5;30 is preposterous. Then on the flip side want a one day traveler to check out at 10am is also nuts! Because you rent these rooms/suites for weeks at a time makes sense for that reason, but certainly not for a day visitor like my wife and I.I would have stayed elsewhere, but thought I was going to have time to enjoy the views and your beautiful facility. Everyone and the space were great, it’s just your in and out policy for visitors like me. If I do come down there again I will stay at the hotel next door to you.Have a great life!

2022-06-16We had a great family weekend at the resort. Everything is extremely family friendly. There were pool toys and floaties available to share, no shortage of chairs or towels. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Great proximity to lots of restaurants. Cant wait to go back!
