Goodwill really needs to clean up its act. Im all about lowering my environmental footprint and helping with job training programs but most of the stores (this one included) look like garbage dumps. (Not to mention that some of the items for sale are literal garbage.) And prices arent that much lower than discount retailers where all the merchandise is new. Ill continue to support secondhand shopping but Goodwill can certainly do better.
I was just passing through looking for classic videogames. I dont buy used movies but they do have a bunch of good DVDs. They have some good books, too. They have an opened OC tv series DVD set- very tempting but I ignored my urge since Ive seen and enjoyed every episode more than one time. There is parking and its on the corner of Western & Wilshire.Im off social media for awhile so I may not answer any more of these.
I have found a few good items, they wrap the fragile items well. Wouldnt recommend the area when it gets dark, I try to go during the early morning or mid afternoon especially if you walk a lot like me. As with any resale, consignment, thrift store, flea market, garage/yard sale you have to look every where you may not find what you want or need but the prices are pretty decent compared to back in my home state of Hawaii where at Savers a pair of authentic Levis is $20-$40 same for any well known brand name item.
As far as a goodwill goes, this place is everything youd expect- its perfect. i cant imagine the entitlement and narcissism of some of the other people who have posted reviews about the customer service. What kind of human being must you be to expect customer service at yard sale prices? Furthermore, what kind of loser posts a negative review of a goodwill??
DON’T COME TO THIS GOODWILL. If I could give it Zero stars I would. I bought a coach purse yesterday and asked the cashier if they do returns and she said “Yes”. Came back today to return it because it was a fake and another lady told me they don’t do returns. The lady who had originally told me that they do returns was standing RIGHT behind her with her back to me and refused to turn around. They said “WE DONT DO RETURNS ITS WRITTEN RIGHT THERE ON THE DOOR” - my mistake for not walking in and reading each and every sign on the door. I had never been to goodwill before as i’m only visiting the usa so i hope they arent all this mean. I was wrong for taking the advice of the employee who i assumed was right. WORST customer service ever and weren’t apologetic at all. I walked out close to tears. Never again.
Over price for things, there was a pair of pannt with the original tag and it was priced at 4.99 but GW. Price was 6.99 and electronic dont work for the most part. And you cant get your money back even when they are defectous or not working. You have only seven days of store credits and if you dont use them you loose. Thats got to change.
No shopping carts. I asked the lady at the register if I can hold some speakers up front so I can continue to shop, she said no we dont hold anything up up here yet a few min later I watched a lady customer ask her to hold some dress behind the counter as she continued to shop and she said oh sure So I guess only blacks are allowed to hold things up there and not mexicans? Or just females only?
People in here complaining about this store like come on you want high brand go to a high brand store stop complaining also yes it’s not all that clean but it’s mostly based on costumers they grab things then decided I don’t want it anymore and leave it somewhere else and no I don’t work at this store I’m just surprised what most complaints are about if you want brand go to sears if you don’t like the store then go shop elsewhere and stop crying like a damn baby.
Prices are too high for a thrift store that being said as I walked out the door had about 4 bags and a heavy set black gentleman helped me with my bags and carried them to my car..also looked like he was on break so I thought that was very nice of him the cashier was very friendly as well the only problem is the prices
The different Goodwill tdas are excellent, with the exception of Goodwiil de Venis boulevard and National is a terrible service, starting with the Latin woman who keeps fixing or hanging her clothes, she may be a thief and doubts the honest people who come to buy as they say the lion judges by its condition and seen that they walk on top of one poor hapless

2022-03-20I was followed by this male employee and harassed while shopping at Goodwill Southern California. Disgusting behavior allowed by the woman supervisor and fellow co-workers.

2022-06-17Ive always said that its the Goodwills in the urban areas where you will find some of the best treasures. This one was no exception . Found some James Perse Y/osemite sweaters , Theory vintage garments that were BNWT! and a Louis Vuitton uniforme thats impossible to find unless youre employed by them. Another day, another dollar.

2020-09-13Bad service . Update your hours and not waste peoples time. Also maybe lock your door if you are closed Need better service. Also employees are yelling at each other in the parking lot.

2021-07-14Prices have gone up extremely high. Tennis shoes went from being $7.99,$14.99 to all now mostly being $19.99( way,way too expensive) whomever decides prices needs to be fired. At this price might as well buy new considering all of these items are used and donated. They also seemed low on merchandise . Good-will is no longer goodwill, more like Thiefwill. Theres better and cheaper thrift shops out there. I used to come here alot, now I drive all the way to Covina cause theres better and cheaper stuff. Good will is NOT my to go store anymore.

2020-12-15What a dumpster fire. Trying to donate and they give you such a hard time! Given bags of electronics, clothing, and other supplies and they said closing time for donations is 12:30pm and this is the first time ever Ive been told that. Man!! Will start donating to the Salvation Army instead.

2021-02-07I can usually find something good here but I am surprised at how expensive it is now. They are pricing some items above what they would cost new. Im disappointed since Goodwills mission statement is about serving the community and I know its all donation based...

2020-12-21They always have brand new high end clothing for very inexpensive prices. I have purchased $300+ red label designer jeans sometimes brand new with the original tags still attach for $7.99. I have also bought new shoes or gently used from a range of $7.99 to $24.99. I give this location five out of five stars. Mondays is Military Day! All Active Duty, Reserves, and Veterans with the proper ID are Blessed with a 15% discount. Tuesdays honors our Senior Citizens Discount. Thursdays whatever the label color for the current week that item will be $1, no matter what the marked price!
