I went out of my way to check the hours listed as being open for donations, and then went out of my way to drive over so I could donate. Two hours earlier, at least, from the listed closing time I arrived to a closed and locked gate. I understand things are different due to the virus but for a place that depends on getting donations it sure would be nice if someone in charge took the small amount of time it should take to change the posted hours. There was evidence others had got the same thing I did but just dumped their stuff to one side of the closed gate. I was tempted to do the same but didnt.
I came to this place 3 times to donate. First I was told donations were closed for the day, second they weren’t taking donations that day, third I calling before coming I was told they close at 4pm. When I there the cashier lady said I have10 mins before they close at 3:30. ‘Went behind the building to drop off only to be met by a rude male employee screaming “we’re closed”! That’s it. I will never bring any donations this location anymore or in that case any Goodwill. I should have stayed with Salvation Army.
Most of our San Jose goodwill are grate.I very often get complaints on my outfits.Its always something I got from goodwill
This is one of the best locations they keep clean and fully stocked so many nice displays they even sell lots of name brands and new items of all sorts*
Not bad. Better than many other GW stores. Lots of cloths and housewares, good selection. Furniture is a bit pricey most of the time. The book section sucks, no real order or organization not much of a selection ether.
Really big if you desire clothing. Not so much in the non clothing stuff except furniture. They usually have plenty of tables and such.This place has.a great donation operation around back that you enter off Hamilton. Very efficient to the point that its an easy routine. Sometimes if I only have a couple things I can just drive through.
SCAM BUSINESS! They sell low-quality overpriced clothing. All of the sizes are labeled improperly so you never know what size are getting. I tried to make a return on a product that still have the tag on it and they refused. Selling defective clothing with zero return policy or customer service skills. Save your time and go somewhere else.
Inside the store is very untidy and dirty; the employee working was very unfriendly.A sign should be clearly posted for those who want to donate, as donations are not accepted inside yet there is no way to know where to donate.The gentleman behind the store was working alone and appeared stressed. This may explain why he was also unfriendly.
2nd day I try to drop the donation and still did not. *This is very frustrating*. First day I came at 3:30 pm and consultant told me to come from 10to3 tomorrow to drop the donation.So I did come at 1pm but everything had been already closed. As it turns out that they start at 10am and finish until filled up. Why did not you mentioned this, sister????Now I have to spend one more day for this?And NOBODY NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE!!! I could figure this out by phone, but this service does not make any chances to be happy 😤🤬🤬🤬😡
Its not the best Goodwill store and its not the worst. I stop in every few weeks and Ive found some cool things for sure. Id probably give them a better rating if the place didnt have an overwhelming smell of the worst foot odor just about ever. Its gnarly.
One of the larger Goodwills in the area with a very good selection of items usually in very fine condition. However Goodwill has an unusual sales strategy with colors being on sale each week, but some stores offer a 20% discount while others offer a 50% discount. Hmmmm ??
I called this morning twice to make sure they have twins mattress for sale,and they said yes We have two of them,And them I call again just to make sure they still have,and they said one is sold one available. I told them that I am interested,and I will come to buy the mattress for $86 dollar. I drove all the way from Gilroy and They didnt want to sale me the mattress they told I need to buy the box sprint as well Both together $160 Why they didnt told me that on the phone also those people who works there are not friendly at all Super Bad costumer service. I will never donate to the store or buy anything from them for Wasting people time like that.
I am only rating the donation station during covid 19. They have a great drive thru, self-service donation system set up here, even if it is only for a very short period of time on the weekends. Call the store for hours.
I dropped off my donations @ the location near the Cottle VTA station and the attendant was rude and acted like I was inconveniencing him!I said good morning to him and he ignored me. So I placed my donations in the trailer and waited patiently for my receipt. It was obvious he wasnt going to give me a receipt. So I asked for it, he gave it to me and didnt acknowledge me or look at me. Like I mentioned, he acted like I was bothering him.I took the time out of my busy schedule to gather these bags of clothes to donate to the less fortunate, especially for the veterans, since I served in the US military too.Only to be treated this way by a employee who obviously doesnt appreciate the fact he has a job.Ill never donate again at this location, even though its on the way to work. Ill drive out of my way to continue to help those in need.
Friendly and helpful staff. The donation center is at the back of the plaza. Ask staff if you can’t find it.
Organized, clean, and bright store. A member of the staff, and I dont know his name was very helpful. He told me that Goodwill was online if I wanted something specific.
I like this Goodwill because they have a lot of good things! Sometimes its hard to find things because its so full, but everything is color coded so it can be fairly easy to find something if you know what color you want.
HUGE, so much stuff that’s it’s tiring to look at it all. Mostly overpriced, but occasionally a few really good deals. Wish the tags were 50% off; they’re marked as 20% off which is barely a discount. There are better thrift stores (come to Edmonton lol)
They dont take checks any more. Cashier rude and prices are like other departments stores.

Make sure you have time to weed through everything to find the one that fits and isnt stained and torn trash. I did and my hands were filthy black from just handling the hangers. But I found ONE and also got a neck ache.

This is my favorite Goodwill to shop at. Its well organized, the staff is friendly and they have a great selection. My favorite is the furniture/pictures, home goods section.

Manager was rude and disrespectful . I was told not to to open a box to see if it was all there because i would lose or steal pieces. Very unprofessional.
This place is huge, but pricy.if you want reasonable and good quality stuff, it is better to visit Marshall or Ross instead.
Goodwill main donation center is closed, but on Monday, Wednesday, Friday down the street they take any mattress for free.
I came here looking for vintage electronics, but sadly did not find any. I still think the idea of a store with products from today and the past is a great idea.

Many prices are more expensive than NEW items at Ikea, Walmart, Target, and the other stores their USED items come from.

These things are very expensive, the prisoners are the same as if you were new, I did not like it very much

2022-01-08This Goodwill is one of the Bay Areas largest and nicely stocked. Its clean, organized, has a variety of items (not just your Target close- outs or past seasons) but items that have a bit more Personality and Posh!!! Be careful to watch for pricing accuracy- if an item is priced higher than what it would typically sell for on retail clearance- than speak up!Remember... Its up to us thrifters to make things right- say something when a thrift store is pricing items too high they get for FREE or .lbs on the $. This is not right! Know your pricing, brand, designers and your local retail market and you will have a great time thrifting!... And remember, check out Tattered to Trendy on Poshmark.

2021-11-07We went to drop off some items and purchase others. Unfortunately the receiving dock was closed and so we have to go back another day to donate. Perhaps Goodwill can work out an internal system so that whenever the store is open they can receive goods too? On the purchasing front I was looking for sunglasses and shorts but slim pickings in rugged mens shorts, medium size, and only one pair of sunglasses but they were scratched. But my wife found two pairs of jeans and a belt and sunglasses, so am glad for her. And the prices are always good.

2021-09-16THIS STORE HAS BED BUGS!!REAL TALK. I bought a sofa and love seat here paid 70 dollars . Im thinking wow what a deal. When I got it home and sat on it within minutes I had bites on my back turns out both sofa and love seat were infested it was horrible. I called the store twice now and the manager is off today both times. The staff there though is very courteous and helpful when I was buying it they loaded it up for me and couldnt ask for better customer service

2021-06-18I found all kinds of things that I didnt know I needed, but ended up leaving with them, so I must have needed them alot. Priced well for most items. Ones I didnt get were overpriced.....candlesticks. Friendly cashier. Not sure if carts were cleaned or sanitized previously. Overall, way better than times i had been there in the past.

2021-06-05The most rude staff I have encountered. When I donate, not a single person acknowledges me (or it), employeess stand in my way having conversations as if I dont exist. My friend wanted to donate some of my clothes later in the day. We understand if they are closed, but threatening to have him ticketed for littering? Seriously? You know your job is contingent on our donations. Not much good will at this store. Go to Scotts Valley and learn some manners from the people who work there, please.
