This is the best dental office I have ever been to. Everyone is so nice and they all took great care of me. I felt very welcomed and I am not a fan of the dentist at all. I haven’t been in years because of bad experiences in the past. But today was great they were very efficient and hands on. Ellie was my favorite, she’s so sweet and fun she made the visit feel very personal. I didn’t feel so nervous or embarrassed anymore once I got in the chair. Friendliest staff ever, can’t wait for my next appointment with y’all !!!
This is the best dental office I found I give them 5 stars for good front desk service an the people in the back as well theyre very friendly an nice an the doctor that did my crowns she was the best she was very very gentle with me an I ask before she poked me with that needle I suggested if she could shake my cheek a little so I dont feel the needle NO pain ... Going to a new dentist is alway scary and after my last visit at a different practice I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try another place but I love my teeth and don’t want to lose them. I went here and was amazed by the cleaning ness, effectiveness, and was well taken care of. The lady that cleaned my teeth her name was Ellie I believe and she was a sweetheart and super informative and caring. Most definitely looking forward to my future appointments.
Wife went to this dentist for immediate help, they did x-rays and basically said they didnt know what she wanted them to do. Switched dentists and the other place fixed the tooth pain same day. The dentists here are incompetent and useless. She posted a one star review which they probably flagged and had taken down.
My visits are wonderful at Gental Dental staff is very nice. Both of my appointments have been with the hygienist Ellie. Ellie is so wonderful she makes you feel comfortable and explains everything that she is going to do and checks in with youOK. make sure that you are doing ok. I was scared to go to my visit and Ellie reassured me everything would be ok, she is amazing. Happy I choose Gental Dental.
First visit, went for the usual dental cleaning. Dentist took a look at my teeth and said I needed a crown ($600) due to one of my tooth not being structurally sound to get another filling. Wasn’t too sure about the procedure but felt pressured to get it done at that moment. On second visit, dentist stated I grinned my teeth and should get a night guard ($3000)for it at this point I asked for more info about why and how this happened, but dentist seemed to get frustrated about my inquiry and I said I would have think about it. Immediately changed to a new dentist and he told me it was very odd that I got a crown and that I had cavities all over my wisdom teeth and molars, which the old dentist never mentioned. Mind you this was two to three weeks after my appointment at this place. TLDR: If possible do not go and waste your money here.
I had the best experience at Gentle Dental I went to a different dentist they wanted to charge me so much money he didn’t mention anything that the Gentle Dental did for me. I’ve been waiting so long to get partials because I’m missing teeth in the upper and lower area of my mouth they got me in right away they made it very affordable I was able to payments. The staff was awesome they kept me calm when I had a tooth pulled. They were very very experienced. The other dentist wanted thousands and thousands of dollars to do nothing but a root canal . I just can’t say enough they were awesome in every way the receptionist were wonderful and caring. I recommend Gentle Dental to anyone and everyone. This place is an awesome place to go to for the dentist. They give you the best help and best service possible and there staff is the most friendliest and care taking people they are all so nice and especially one of them her name is Laura she’s one of the best front counter worker and she’s the best with customer service as well. Honestly one of the best dentist spot I recommend for all ages.
Horrible first time experience. Expect to wait an hour plus after your appointment time. No attention from front desk. No updates on time to be seen. I would think patients would feel more comfortable if someone would say Im sorry for the wait, but the dentist should be able to see you in 20 min. But nothing. Have yet to see the dentist, but will update I see the dentist.So update... My experience after seeing the dentist didnt change much. Told me that I need dental work done, and thats it. Didnt really gave me options... Maybe because I was on medic cal. Idk. I asked many questions and the answer is usually no. I would appreciate it if they gave me an explanation of why no, instead of just a no....So I decided to go see another dental office. And got all of my questions answered. My experience here is horrible. But maybe its just me. Because according to the other reviews, they occasionally do treat some patients well.
I truly appreciate Gentle Dental for being so accommodating by having openings on Saturdays. I also appreciate the fact that rather than judging your oral hygiene habits (or lack thereof), they encourage you to improve and teach you how to care for your teeth the appropriate way, more specifically, the doctor I had on 2/8/2020. The staff is caring, and I appreciate their kindness.
Front desk was great but when I went into the dentist office the guy doing my x-rays took forever and it was really painful he didn’t know he was doing and he asked another staff member to come in and finish. Then the dentist gave me news that my front tooth had to be pulled so I was visibly upset because it was my front tooth and she was very grouchy didn’t comfort me when I was in tears she didn’t seem to care she just couldn’t wait to show me how much it would cost for a replacement so no I won’t go back there I didn’t even have my tooth pulled at the dentist office
Thank you gentle dental I brought in my 1 and a half year old daughter and I definitely loved the way they attended my daughter and myself I was greeted in a nice and friendly manner an my daughter was surprisingly not crying I think she felt like if she was also at home.. comfortable
Where to begin? I had a cracked molar and the dentist (wont name HER) said that I needed an extraction because the tooth could not be saved. After the extraction, I would need an implant, then a crown. She then directed me to Martha, who was so condescending and pushy. She said it would cost $6,000 just for that one tooth... thats with insurance, mind you.I went to another dentist, a friend of mine, and asked for a second opinion. My dentist friend said that whoever said I needed an extraction didnt know what they were doing or was LAZY. Needless to say, my tooth was not extracted. I only spent a total of $600 (root canal and crown), and got to keep my tooth.3 years later, I decided to go back for a cleaning. Maybe they were better, maybe the staff had a turnover. Nope. Same doctor, same Martha. They recommended a deep cleaning, which was around $125 per quadrant if they used the gel anaesthetic. I said I dont mind going with the regular anaesthetic, as I wasnt afraid of needles. Martha kept pushing the gel, saying they can only do two quadrants at a time and I would have to come back , as opposed to having all 4 done in one sitting with gel. I didnt budge and said I didnt mind coming back. Lo and behold, just so I would do the gel, the price miraculously dropped to $45 a quadrant! Thats $320 off!!! Wow! How much money do these crooks make from people who get bullied into getting overpriced gel anaesthetics for deep cleaning? KEEP AWAY FROM THESE SWINDLERS!!!
Went in for an exam and cleaning but was told I needed a huge load of dental work, that will cost me at least 3.5k and was given a bill write-up that day. They take 12 X-rays, and even then ended up getting them all blurry. I ended up having to pay out of pocket for new X-rays from a different facility that I could trust to do it properly.I went to a new facility my friend recommended and they were much nicer and helpful. And said I didnt need any of the work that Gentle Dental said I needed. And set me on a plan to help restore what damage I did have instead of setting in stone we do this, this is how much you pay.Not to mention this facility just feels grimy and unkempt. Its hard to feel comfortable in a place so dirty.
I wish I could give them a 0!I called to schedule an appointment and got one for 3:00 for my two kids on Monday. I pulled my kids out of school early and left work early as well. I show up at 3:00 and I am told that they tried calling to cancel the appointment because of blah blah reason. I honestly did not get a call and instead received the text confirmation requests that Saturday to which I responded. I told them that I had to do a lot to make it in and the receptionist told me she would talk to her manager but that they were already very busy and I would have to wait. Next thing I know I get called up and they tell me that they will see us. I ask how long and the manager rudely tells me that she doesnt know. I might be wrong, but why do I need to beg for my children to be seen pretty much whenever the staff feels like it even though I made an appointment?I told them I didnt want them to be seen and left.This place was unprofessional since the moment I walked in. The ladies working the front, especially the manager, act as if they are doing YOU a favor. They talk out loud about other patients, who apparently are also unhappy, and to be honest do not look like they work in a professional office. Oh and by the way, my 5 year old mentioned the office smelled gross as we came in.Funny thing is, apparently I had made an appointment before and then never actually came in. Now I wonder if something else happened before??? If you vslue your time DO NOT use this dentist.
Gentle dental is the best, the staff is very friendly, very helpful and organized! I want to thank Jean, Jennifer and Jayce for helping me and always having a smile on there face! Very good office I am very satisfied with gentle dental , the doctors are the best!I will be recommending my friends and family here.
Im very critical of the way I am treated at businesses. Its not just about being good at what you do but also the experience. To me, making great efforts to correct even the smallest mistake and taking ownership of the experience put this dentistry ahead in my books. One difficult experience is not enough to judge an entire business, everyone has bad days. The staff here aimed to correct small issues that happened and owned up, turning me into a fan. They very much seemed to care. Five stars until proven otherwise
Worst dental place!!!Today is the 4th time i set up an appointment and then minutes later i get a call with the same spill. The call center got you an appointment but we are all booked for that day. This is the worst cuatomer service, i dont understand how they get any customers at all.I dont care if the call center scheduled an apointment erroneously, i called the phone on youre website. Is not the clients problem that you dont comunicate with your call center or that your agendas are not updated!Im done with this place! Will be changing provider!!The worst! The customers expirience starts from the phone call to set the appointment. If this has been my expierience so far i cant imagine what it would have been treated there!!!If i gave 1 start is because it wouldnt allow me to put a review woth out the star score.
They previously cancelled a cleaning appointment with me as I walked in on time for it and now theyre closed with lights off for my scheduled appointment, one hour after theyre supposed to open. Equipment and dental technology they use is outdated, they only do amalgam fillings, and dentists rotate in on a weekly basis to work a day or two.
This place is a scam, they took me in for an emergency appt for a broken tooth took a bunch of X-rays. Didn’t look in my mouth and then told me they didn’t have anyone to do a root canal for a month. So why would they see me and charge my insurance??? This place was a joke
They gave me an estimate at the time of service and I paid $256 up front for the service then two months later I get another bill for $210. The worst damn billing department ever. If you dont know what the insurance will cover then dont tell me thats what Ill owe. Suck!

2022-08-16Considering I hadn’t been to a dentist in years until recently and I needed a deep clean, this was a very pleasant experience. Ellie made sure I was comfortable throughout the procedure and thoroughly explained it. I truly understood why it was necessary and saw a huge improvement immediately afterwards. I highly recommend this office and especially if you have any hesitations regarding pain or business practices. Their integrity and kindness are of the utmost quality!

2022-08-16My first visit went great. The staff was very nice and everyone was considerate with my deafness and I appreciated their communication patience with me. They were able to work it out with my dental insurance and explain the cost. The place is clean and nice. Im definitely bringing the rest of my family there. :)8-16-2022 *UPDATE*I went back last week to get my root canal done. The dentist was amazing once again and the staff was so nice and assuring towards my treatment and needs. I still give them 5 stars!

2022-07-26The dentist and techs we dealt with were great, but honestly, the girl at the front desk had the worst attitude ever. This wasnt a one-time thing either, it was three visits in a row. At one point the girl threatened to cancel the upcoming appointment because I asked for additional copies of forms. I finally just asked for a copy of x-rays so we could go somewhere else to get the work done. I work in social services and take clients to the dentist regularly. This was my worst experience ever at a dental office. Beware

2022-08-02This is the best dental office In Chula Vista ! Dr Fay and Elena and Marlen and Melinda are great assistant’s . The front office staff are incredible Laura Jean and Isa are so friendly and welcoming . I recommend my family and friends come join me as a patient at Gentle Dental. 2022-06-23This office has the most mediocre service, I dont even know where to begin. The ONLY staff the was helpful were the pediatric dentist and his 2 assistants that work once a month in the office. Unfortunately they only treated my son once. On the first appointment they took x-rays and the general dentist recommended he see the pediatric periodontist. That appointment was almost a month later. 2 days before that appoint front office calls and says the appointment will be cancelled because a referral is needed, that she could schedule with a general dentist. I cant understand how she could not see our appointment history, the xrays AND referral sitting in his ELECTRONIC chart! We figuered it out and I managed to keep the appointment still enfuriating, I know. 2nd appointment with the pediatric dentist went great, a different staff member informed me that everything was covered by the ins. I requested a day off from work for his 3rd appointment for the following month. A month in advance! Of course Laura calls on Monday to confirm his appointment for Thursday so I think everything is great. Tueday I get a call that my ins will not cover services with a pediatric dentist and that I need a referral!!! So they confirm appointments before they verify your benefits and they wait until the last minute to do so.They dont take the time to review a patients chart before they open their mouths to say all this nonsense. After spending 40+ mins with the ins I was able to keep my sons appointment with the gen dentist only to get a call back from the front office stating the dentist reviewed his chart, that she remembered him and tried treating him with no luck. Completely outrageous! That lady didnt even touch him and my son was NEVER uncooperative from the very first visit. She flat out did not care and did not even try. Now my son is waiting with half of the treatment needed until I can find another dental office that has the intelligence to provide decent costumer service. I hope sharing my experience will help another mother not go through the same situation.

2022-07-12Was early to my appointment and still had to wait over an hour and a half to be seen. Dentist only looked at x-rays didnt bother to look at my teeth. Told me I need an extraction but when I told her I was in pain just left and went to the next patient. Sent me out with basically nothing but a referral was told to call in and check for when a surgeon might be available finally scheduled out for 3weeks with no medication to help with the pain. Worst experience I have had by far.

2022-05-27I really dont know where to start. First they are a couple of people that work in this office that are really nice the rest are evil. They are very pushy and bossy and dont seem to care that they are speaking to other human beings, they are extremely disrespectful. I will never ever come back to this place or recommend anyone to this place. If I could give a negative number for the rating I would!

2022-01-13When we arrived for our appointment, the receptionists told us that the call center had misappropriated our appointments, and that we would need to come back in about a month. Fortunately, the Office Manager was there and saved the day by taking care of us. I give her 5+ stars. She was kind, sensitive to our situation (I had appointments for my 5 and 7 yr olds), and extremely professional. I wish my company had staff like her. Unfortunately, the two receptionists, who couldnt care less, were not very helpful and made me hesitate in returning.
