I was a Geico customer for nearly 14 years. I never had a claim or an accident or a ticket. I work for law enforcement agency and was involved in a very minor bump with another vehicle less than 1 mile per hour there was a scratch left on the vehicle smaller than a half inch less than the width of a dime. The entire accident was recorded on video by the lawn Enforcement agency whom this person did not work for-the agency. District person refused to have a police report made refused all medical attention and at the scene on video admitted she was fine and left the scene. Returned to work the next day with no injuries or modification to work, no neck brace or any other thing to indicate an injury. Two weeks later a letter was sent to Geico from an Attorney stating that this person had an $80,000 neck injury with less than $700 damage to the vehicle . This person never went to seek medical attention all this was done through an attorney she subsequently was videoed for the entire next year and a half while she worked there with multiple incidences of her dancing joking and acting normal at work all caught on video. All this information was relayed to Geico with a detective that was willing to arrest and charge her with a felony for insurance fraud if she collected. All Geico needed to do was contact the agency I worked for. They were expecting their call. Geico failed, never even called them paid this woman $15,000 for a false neck injury and paid $716 to fix the scratched bumper on a brand new vehicle. I’ve contacted multiple insurance agencies and they all said this appears to be fraud based on the damage to the vehicle. My vehicle however suffered zero damage . Geico doubled my insurance rates. And paid this person who committed fraud. Geico is the worst insurance company they do not care to protect their client they only look for their own interest. This is why insurance is so ridiculous in California because they’re willing to pay for fraud and not investigate it. I served this case up on a SilverPlatter to them and they still paid this person I cannot constitute or justify doing business with the company I’ve been with for 14 years that won’t even make a simple phone call which could’ve prosecuted this person criminally and avoided the entire payouts but instead they rather pay them and not even comment on it after I’ve made multiple phone calls to Geico ,their exact comment was we’re looking out for our own interest. This is the worst insurance company there is I recommend you go elsewhere because when it comes down to it they will leave you hanging.
Geicos claim dept need to be more professional and not cut their clients off when trying to explain the incident . You would think they would be more about helping their clients who pay good money for their insurance instead of interrupting them while they speak. Im already dealing with the stress of the accident you would think they would be more patient and understanding. This experience left a bad taste.
They total loss my $9,000 2017 Fiat 30 days after perchance from dealership when I got into a fender bender. It was under 10 mph after a stoplight turned green then traffic suddenly stopped. My headlight shattered & one side panel was dented. They took over 2 weeks, car in the shop the entire time charging me daily, to get back to me after they reassigned it to two different agents to get a quote after I took it took my shop because the app said I could but they made it hard for me because it was not one of the recommended places they were trying to force me to go even though its my legal right to take it to any shop I want. I was put on hold for hours just to talk to a Geico person put in a duplicate second report without me knowing which caused confusion making the process harder for everyone because we didnt realize right away. I figured itd get fixed since nothing was wrong with the engine and from every angle expect that immediate area the car still looked great drove it there perfect. They gave me $3,000 no option to keep my car without paying an arm and a leg to get it back, Id have to pay a couple thousand out of pocket to fix it myself and continue to make payments on it. So now I own a 2005 car I dont like as much I got for $3,500 and my monthly insurance is $220 a month!!! It went from $65 to $220!! Nothing was wrong with my car!!!! I was not helped properly and I feel like something fishy might have happened to my car since nothing was wrong with it. The guys at the shop were shocked they wrote it off at totalled. I got offers to buy it since obviously nothing was wrong with it but I couldnt because of my situation. Now I have a totaled car on my record when it was a fender bender that in no way totaled the car!
I’ve had nothing but wonderful service with this insuance company. My agent Jessica S is very attentive and responds in a timely manner with my concerns regarding my policy. She handles everything and explains things thoroughly. I am very satisfied with her customer service and the rapport I have built with her.
I usually don’t leave reviews, but after my experience with Geico I felt like it was a must. Jessica Serrano is the agent who helped me, she was very attentive and understanding to my needs and wants. Made sure I understood what I was getting and what was being covered. She helped me step by step, and made sure that the price I was paying monthly was affordable. She even set me up with automatic payments monthly and I was even able to select my payment due date. In the past I never understood what was being covered and what wasn’t, but thanks to Jessica S. I now have a lil more knowledge on what exactly I’m paying for. I also love that you’re able to download the Geico app. You have access to your insurance cards, you’re able to see whats covered under your plan, you can file claims, and request for road side assistance if needed. It’s very convenient, overall my experience was great. Thanks to Jessica S. for being patient with me, I will be recommending you to my friends & family who are seeking to find the best car insurance in town.
My agent was Richard Hernandez, I’ve been a customer of his for years now and I recently bought a brand new car, he’s always helped me find the best value! Although, Geico is a big company, Trenea Smarts local office is very personable, and attentive to your needs. I also love the mobile app that makes it extremely easy to make payments and receive roadside assistants, not to mention the best rates. I highly recommend this insurance to all my friends and family.
Jessica helped me with my home insurance and she was amazing! She was able to give me a lower price then I was quoted online. She was very nice and very helpful was able to answer all my questions. She followed up with me to get everything settled, and was very quick. She also helped went out of her way to call the 1800 number and cancel one of my policies for me because I was unable to speak to a person. She did an amazing job! I would highly recommend you speak to he if you need home insurance.
By far the best insurance office Ive ever had. The Agent Trenea Smart is absolutely the most knowledgeable and helpful explaining things. She really goes the extra mile to help... most agents just pass you on to their staff. Speaking of staff, they are great too!! You can tell they take on the qualities of Trenea. Called for an insurance quote and was told I would not be insured because I have an American Bulldog. Very nice person but completely uninformed when it comes to dog breeds. He told me he looked at a picture online of what an American Bulldog looks like and the the Underwriters, or whoever, would not insure my house because of how they looked.
Great service and incredible good rates I’ve had my vehicles there for a few years and just switched my homeowners insurance to them as well. Johnathon Hernandez does an amazing job and don’t have a problem using anyone else in the office if he’s not available. Such a great staff and always on the ball.

Had a great experience with the Bakersfield Geico Office. The Insurance-Agent who helped me was Spencer. Spencer was kind, friendly and very knowledgeable about the policies. He went above and beyond to make sure that the policy I got was the best. I had endless questions for him while gathering information. I called back to speak to him about 5-6 times, each time Spencer was just as enthusiastic to help me as the first. If you need help with any of your insurance needs, I would give Spencer a call to see what he can do for you.

This guy spencer was super helpful and really good at his job I wish credit one had customer service like this because honestly getting help from someone who values and understands theyre job. It also took under 20 minutes and he saved me 40 bucks compared to what state farm had me paying.

I never write reviews but with my experience with Geico specifically the representative Spencer I felt the need other people need to know they are choosing the right insurance agency. Spencer really treated me like family. He is very knowledgeable, professional and experienced. I can not say enough about Spencer’s work eithics. Ask for Spencer you will not be disappointed
I recently switched to Geico because I was paying almost $250 a month on full coverage insurance for my 10 year old cars and renters insurance. After speaking to John and telling him what I was paying and how hard it was for me to make such a large payment every month he got me an AMAZING deal with Geico. I saved over 30% on my car insurance and secured a great rate for renters insurance. Not only was he quick on getting me the deal he was also able to walk and talk me through the process of how to get switched over which took care of any stress I had about switching. This is our first experience with GEICO and were new to the Bakersfield area. Johnathan Hernandez made us feel right at home. I called Geico to compare prices with other car insurance companies and they were significantly lower. Richard helped me start a new policy today and was very informative and helpful. I have had Geico for the last 2 years. I have always made my payments on time, no claims & a great driving record. When Geico made an unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account (I always pay with a check) after I had already paid half of my premium, I decided it was time to go else where. I have spoken to Geico over the phone and went into the Bakersfield office with NO RESULTS in getting my money back. With this kind of service, I am sure I wouldnt be happy with them if I did need them.
I never had an issue with Geico until someone hit our car. I went through my insurance, Geico to get the claim settled faster. My car has less than 12,000 miles and Geico wanted to replace parts with used parts. When I bought the car I asked about OEM part replacement and got the answer that I was fully covered. OEM parts coverage was not even offered even with high coverage as Geico does not have this option. California law states “Although non-original equipment manufactured replacement parts can be used to repair your vehicle, any such part must be comparable to (OEM) original equipment manufactured parts in terms of kind, quality, safety, fit and performance.“ Geico’s used parts would have voided the manufacture’s warranty per the cars manufacturer. I would not recommend Geico Insurance unless you just want cheap insurance. You get what you pay for! Lesson learned.
I am so disappointed at this company when it comes to getting their service theyre great but when you have issues or claims they are the worst specially this location no customer service of whatsoever theres other better rating insurance is so sad Geico spend so much money but doesnt spend the quality of time training them better as far as customer service
Worst customer service! My mom went in because she wants to change car insurance, they had no customers and had her standing there waiting to help her. when they did help her they told her if she wanted the best offer she could pay her loan and not get full coverage when she had clearly stated she wanted full coverage. She asked if she could get a print out of the quote and he told her he couldnt give her a print out!
I quit my Travelers insurance I felt there rates were awful I called Geico spoke to Spencer he got me set up with great rates. He even had the lifelock offer which I took. I saved $600.00 for a year. Thank you Geico you have so many options and know how to work with people

I went in to get home n auto quote. No one else waiting but me... Sounded like a couple people were on personal calls. After about 10+ minutes l asked male receptionist how long am l to wait. Receptionist said l can help you. I said you want me to stand up at the receptionist desk and pull out all my papers ???? Not happening. I left. Just saw another commercial on their personal service. Joke right !!!!!
Great customer service, great prices, great people, great everything. I recommend geico to anyone who is tired of overpaying for insurance and getting nothing in return. While shopping for insurance is not the most exciting of things, I found my experience with Geico to be very pleasant. They always caught my attention with those cute little Gecko comnericals bu the local office really showed their fun side with their dancing comnericals. From the time I called and went in, I was treated sith friendly smiles and knowledge people. It didnt feel your typical experience with insurance folks who seem to just want to get all the money they can, then disappear when you need them. I felt very comfortabl the staff at Geico. They made sure I was getting the best coverage and at a fraction of the price. Anytime I have needed to use the emergency roadside service, it is so easy , fast and efficient. Yeah they are cheap on your monthly payment. But when your get into a car accident they make it so hard to even to pay for you car seats even to give a rental car. Why is the point to have full cover.when your in pain have a broken hand you expect geico to be there for you. Not make my life harder.
They quoted me for my motorcycles but failed to tell me my Umbrella policy would go up over 50% because of the motorcycles. When I got the new bill for my Umbrella I promptly called and complained. I was told Too bad, that is how we run our company.They put themselves out there like they are a comprehensive Insurance but all they are is a hacked together internet insurance company that does not mesh well.Do yourself a favor, if you are in need of more than a very simple policy, or coverage on more than one item, save yourself the aggravation and call one of the more reputable Insurance Companies.
If I could give zero stars, I would!My husband and I have had Geico insurance for over 10 years. We currently have four vehicles insured through geico, 2 cars and 2 motorcycles. Last week my husband calls and asks... *ASKS* if he is covered should he take his bike to the track... Geicos response? They called my husband on Friday to tell him they are dropping his coverage for ASKING A QUESTION. What kind of business is that? Loyal customers getting screwed over for asking a question. So everyone please be aware that Geico has a DONT ASK DONT TELL policy. You may have to pay more some where else, but at least you will be taken care of. Shame on you Geico.
I will never go to geico local office especially with that cocky sales manager Leo Hernandez he thinks he know it all, the only reason he does insurance and is a sales manager is because he married into that family, still does not know how to treat people or talk to you in a professional manner
I thought all that saving money stuff was a bunch of bunk but when I called them and the quote they gave me was a fourth of what I was paying so when I went in I thought yeah theyre going to tack on some extra stuff now but the quote I got on the phone was exactly what I paid when I got there I switched in the second
Very bad!!! Three months ago I wanted to communicate with this happy Geico insurance company, and they have never answered me. I have a problem with my car; They stole my catalyst and they dont give me answers, the worst thing is that they have my car in a workshop !! And I dont know when they are going to deliver it to me. I hope that someone sees this message and they attend to me.

2022-05-02They keep hanging up on me and every time I ask for a quote they seem to add 100$ from the previous calls. So after calling them the third time of the month they had given me a quote of 550$ and it started at 205$ a month. Maybe there some factors to be considered but there not young driver friendly. Maybe be best to look for a better car insurance quote somewhere else.

2022-06-01So I’ve had geico for 16 or so years now and I’ve been pretty disappointed with the handling of this last accident claim I’ve had, I was involved in a wreck that wasn’t my fault, I was hit by another driver, it would take weeks at a time to get ahold of my claims adjuster and I was only given a rental car for the first month after the accident, so I’ve been without a vehicle for the last 6 months while mine has been in the collision center waiting for parts, relying on friends and family for rides, all while still having to make my monthly truck payment and paying my insurance. It’s been a pretty bad experience and I’ll be switching my insurance as soon as I get my vehicle back.Also, I emailed this ServiceSM@geico thing a week or two ago and no one has tried to get ahold of me yet
