The meat department is good. Sometimes there is organic items in the store . They are in the process of putting in a kitchen. I cant wait to see what they put to sell there. The salsa they sell is addicting and spicey. I love it. My favorite cashiers are Johena, Mae, Eva and one more thin lady with black hair... The other one which is a heavey set older woman is very rude so I avoid her. I would have given it 5 stars if it was not for that one cashier 😉
A small but well stocked little family store (mom & pop) that prepares a diverse menu of mexican food daily always fresh. I recommend the chili relleno. Its so soft and fluffy it wants to melt in your mouth rather than be chewed. Anyone working there will be happy to drop what theyre doing to assist you at any given time. Also there is an on-site jeweler (in the late afternoons) that has the best competitive pricing Ive seen since the 1970s. Most residents from the apartment complexes on F and E streets shop here. Friendly and kind people.
I had the loveliest experienced here today. The Market is Extremely clean!!. I came to get a meat package for the first time. The customer service by Fransisco was OUTSTANDING!!!!.. The meat was fresh and he was what customer service was all about!!!. My sister Shontell got a meat package also..She was all smiles and agrees..that this place deserves 10 stars!!!! Thank you once again Fransisco !!!. Wonderful customer service.!!!😁
Meat and chicken are marinated well , literally a small Walmart/Ralphs in one hit ,been going as my main store for food for years now . Somewhat small but has everything you need plus there is a taco truck in the parking lot that has taco Tuesday! $1 fish tacos are delicious !! Everything I need as far food and drinks is right here at this store .
I absolutely LOVE this store. Its local, a block or so from my house, which makes it very convenient, especially after I had surgery and could not drive. The customer service is ***** (5 star). Always, 100%. The owner/manager is always bringing new items in. During the last year or so, many more healthy and gluten free items have been added to the shelves. In addition, I have found that if I bring the manager/owner a picture of what I want, or if something I usually purchase is out of stock, he is very diligent about getting it in.I do have to admit, not including their sale items (which are usually great deals) they are a bit expensive. Nevertheless, for me, the excellent customer service and handiness to my house makes up for it.I would be remiss if I did not mention a couple things (I am trying to do an objective review).First, you really need to check the produce. Numerous times I have unwittingly purchase spoiled, bruised or very over- ripe items. I am not sure why since I see the produce gentleman rotating and replacing stock very frequently. Just check your produce well before you purchase it.Secondly, as another reviewer mentioned, often the item is past its date or only one out two days from expiring. Again a keen set of eyes can prevent this from becoming a problem for you. In fairness, I have two things to say about these issues I have mentioned. First, I have been told by the manager that there is a 100% satisfaction guarantee on anything you buy there, and I have returned items which they have graciously replaced.Second, these issues are much better now than several years ago. They are really working to improve everything and it shows. Now for the exciting news - they are preparing to cook their own food there and sell it, similar to many carnicerias I have visited in Mexico. It is a ways off, construction, permits, etc, but it will be awesome! They have the best salsa around, red and green, in the refrigerator section, and their pre-seasoned carne asada is awesome. I cannot wait to be able to go there, choose my meat at the butcher area and hopefully have it cooked right there, or pick up a roasted chicken. ( Im not sure what all the expansion project includes, but that sounds like some exciting ideas.)I know this is a long review but I really and truly feel lucky to have this neighborhood market within walking distance. In addition, far too often all we hear or share are the bad qualities and I really believe this establishments positive attributes far outweigh the few negative issues I mentioned above. Cheers!
Its an OK place.. I think their prices are high, but it is just a neighborhood convenience market, after all. I dont go there very often. I go there for the seafood truck thats parked outside! The payment machine at the register will charge you 50 cents for atm card use, or zero for credit card...
Clean, well stocked grocery store with to-go lunch boxes of rolls, sashimi, bbq over rice, masubi, and MORE. My favorite - spicy salmon roll for lunch ($7.49), very fresh salmon chunks in a decent size roll - packaged with a small pack of ginger, organic wasabi, and soy sauce - they give you chopsticks and napkin at check out. I didnt spend much time looking at their other manufactured items and produce, but the produce did look fresh.
Im not giving a rating to the store.. But outside the store there a taco truck.. Tacos el gordo.. Just go.. Shrimp and fish tacos.. I was on a diet.. Haha was😂😂 no lie but its on the list of some of the best ive had.. That or I was really hungry but they were really good!!
This little market has good prices on several items especially energy drinks such as Rockstar for 99 cents which would set you back 3 bucks at other stores. But looks can be deceiving, I noticed expired items and moldy bread on shelves. So just make sure you look at dates and inspect items when there.
The store is good, but in the meat department is good too but its a shame that the principal guy of the meat department, the short one is very impatient and mean I always buy everything in that store but I always avoid going into the meat department always for the attitude of that man because he always makes you feel bad.
Great local grocery store with a good variety of grocery items, a butcher, and a place to purchase hot food. The make their flour tortillas fresh and they have some amazing fresh squeezed orange juice. The staff is always nice and friendly. The only reason I’m rating 4 and not 5 is that the produce doesn’t last very long from here so be aware of that.
Small but well-run. Good produce, meat, tortillas, dairy. Good breadth of canned / bottled / packaged items, though only a few brands for most.Small but well managed market. Good quality vegetables, fruits, tortillas, meats, dairy (and non-dairy). It has everything everyday, although usually only one or two brands.
The store has many expired products, many things that I have bought when I am going to use them are expired. The employees are almost all friendly, there is only one VERY VERY RUDE AND DESPOTE woman in the checkout area, I dont know why they have her working there. If not Stan paying someone a salary is to treat customers well and make us return. But that woman is truly vulgar, equal and very rude. That the owner does not realize ??? And in the meat department a man with a beard who who prays has a bad face that seems that if you ask him for something he is going to give a blow. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE STORE, its a shame!

2022-05-18Its exterior makes your eyes believe that its just a quick stop and shop. First steps inside and wow, vegetables, produce large assortment of adult liquors, pork, poultry and beef many different cuts to select from, and it doesnt stop there oh no because if your hungry now well they offer hot and ready meals and can accommodate large and small orders. A special thanks to cashier Erika who informed me that I could use an in-store coupon that gave me a tray of eggs 20 ct.

2022-04-15The flour tortillas are the best, they taste home-made and the corn tortillas too. I love their meat department with butchers and they also have a bakery. The store is not too big and I been shopping there for 17 years.

2022-02-10On e before they let my elderly mother wet her pants because bathroom are not for customers. Today it was my turn left the store without my groceries because I NEEDED TO GO #1, this time was ITS BECAUSE OF COVID. Gas stations, 7-11s, even El Super in National City have customer restrooms. This place sucks! No more buying here!!!!
