This park is really quite nice! Theres plenty of space for playing frisbee or just relaxing on the grass. This is especially great for picnics! There is one playground for kids 12 and under, and another playground for kids 12 and up. The three tennis courts are almost always taken, unless you come very early or very late. If you plan on having a party here, there are a couple outdoor building-like structures with tables to provide shade and weather protection. Do check out the vista point at the highest point of the park when you visit. If you stand in the center and talk into the wall, you will hear your voice amplified. Its super cool and you just have to try it in person to understand. Overall this is a really awesome park! Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy, so do drop by to visit!
This park is super nice we reserved a spot next to restrooms made easy for the guest to get to plenty tables, the only problem is the wasps they attacked the food it was really hard to get rid of those , be prepared for some kind of repellent to help. But otherwise its a really nice park.
I love this park !! At this area, ( S.E. of SAN JOSE , Evergreen area ), the sunlight stays longer than at other parks. ( for example at S.W. Of SAN JOSE ). Fowler park Its getting a little bit drier, ( it seems as if the grass has not been well watered, but I love it anyway, because at the early evening , there are a lot of families enjoying the park with their children, just relaxing, walking, flying kites, bicicling, etc.The good thing about this park, is that the RESTROOMS close later than at other parks, where they close at 6.00 pm. Here they close them later than 7.00 pm.The mountain view is magnificent from this park. RESTROOMS are usually well kept, with plenty of paper supply and clean. The atmosphere is peaceful, friendly, respectful people. However things suddenly change after around 7.30 and later. Its better to leave the park at that time for safety,. It seems that young and old people like to gather here to drink beers and other, plus Mary. Fowler park is not good any more for families. I have seen police cars entering the parking lots sometimes checking around, but their visits are too brief. They dont stop. They just pass by the area, and that is very rare.Sometimes, on top of the little mountain of the park ( where the San Jose CA. view is wonderful ), we can see scattered around, broken beer bottles, and empty beer cans.Thats is very disappointing, because children or any people could have an accident with a broken glass. Families here at the park could feel more safe if the police would visit this park more often at later hours. This FOWLER CREEK PARK is indeed too good for families and peaceful people to enjoy and relax. !!! I hope things change here soon for the better...
This is a beautiful park with an amazing scenery of San Jose, big playground for the kids and a lot of tennis courts and bathrooms. Cool big picnic and tables you can reserve for an event all around and BBQ pits. If you plan to go at night and go up and take a look at the scenery and lights of San Jose mind yo business bc you will see couples cuddling, some smoking the weeds and others calmly drinking their 40s or whatever they like.
Overall, just a really great community park to go hang out or take younger kids to. In all honesty, bc of covid, the place is pretty deserted and caution tape is covering certain areas, but regardless, it is a great place to go to. Before covid the place was always filled with ppl as it has an obstacle course for older kids, a playground for younger kids, a huge multipurpose field with picnic benches, tables, and coverings to hold barbecues and parties. I think the main feature that makes this place so attractive is that it has stairs leading to the top of a hill with a huge slide and overview of the entire valley and sunset🌇
Very Nice place. Came here for a birthday party. Its a nice small park for parties, picnics or just wanna take children to play or go for a walk. Its not so overcrowded which was nice. There is plenty of parking in the streets and also have a small parking lot. Also you can see the view of San Jose which is really nice. Overall I liked it.
Had an Amazing Day at Fowler. Beautiful Day. Bathrooms were kept up for as many people there were. Park was Kept up very well clean. An Enough garbage cans for trash an recycles were available. Park play area was nice an clean. Will book another event for this area. 👶 Baby Shower today. Had many Birthdays here yrs. Different events.
This is a beautiful park, with good locations because when stand at the top of it you guys have a large views to the city, hills and mountains. Very clean, nice place for relax or plays group, family, kids, and yourself. Really feels comfortable and happy when came with Fowler Creek Park. (^_^)
Nicely maintained park, good view of the whole city from one of the mountain peaks, you can sit-relax and spend some quiet moments while watching sunset or sunrise. Many slides, swings for a kid, a place for yoga, badminton court and a couple of gazeboes for party or picnic.
This is a great place to have a family gathering especially when the sun is about to set. Youre high up and can see most is San Jose down below and looks beautiful. Also, if you go up to the peak by the playground area, you can see even more of the city and looks fantastic! Me personally went to this park during 4th of July and I could see all off the fireworks across San Jose which was really pretty to see.
This is a nice park, however lot of people dont pick up after their animals and let their animals run unleashed.. and smokers leave cigarette butts around. My dog did get very sick due to cannabis cigarette in the grass, now very careful and little scared walk in park
Love this park. Its an awesome neighborhood park. However, the last few years on 4th of July and some weekends, people have taken over the park. They play loud inappropriate music with cuss words, beer bottles all over and trash left everywhere. Its very sad. My husband and I tried to walked thorough there, as our regular neighborhood walk and they blocked the side walk path and threw firecrackers at our feet. They laughed. It was very uncomfortable. Then before they left they lit the garbage cans on fire and burned some beautiful fully bloomed Myrtle trees.
Fowler Creek Park was designed with plenty of public input. Locals definitely wanted the park to take advantage of the topography, namely to keep the mound with its spectacular view northward over the valley to downtown and to take advantage of the sunsets. A slide built into the side of the hill also exploits the incline. Citizens were adamant to exclude any sort of organized sports field in the design other than the tennis courts. Doing left large, grassy area for play to the benefit of most visitors. The location and proximity to the local well-kept neighborhood andundeveloped foothills makes this park one of the jewels of the San Jose city park system. Two separate play areas with different types of structures effectively separate older and younger children. A water feature that runs in non-drought, summer months is hugely popular for families. A set of Bocci courts is available mostly for folks who have no idea of what Bocci ball is all about. Still, eventually someone will figure it all out.Two large gazebos that can cover and accommodate a hundred users are reservable or, when not reserved, available on a first come first served basis. Hint: spend the money on a reservation. There are folks who arrive at 4 a.m. to hold the tables. Grilling stations are included with the reservations and a restroom is available as well. The park is not intended for evening or night use and the parking area is closed off at sunset. Unfortunately, this is intended to discourage loitering that has increased somewhat. And by loitering, I mean the obvious teen and older males dwelling, doing a doobie or two, and on occasion, involved in illegal selling. The SJPD has increased patrols and the area is more family friendly at night than it was five years ago. This is a park with a plethora of desirable features that sometimes invite the less-than-honorable crowd and can evolve sideways if locals arent vigilent or dont report bad behavior. Im hoping this post is read by fellow responsible citizens who all have a stake in the friendly and fun use of the park. If you see something, say something. The park belongs to all of us.
Park itself is nice but with almost no shades. A lot of indecent people come by in recent years. some litters, some plays soccer in the tennis court, some hits elderly people in the bathroom, It is considered the most dangerous neighborhood park recently. Avoid it if you can.

2021-05-29This park is big. Lots of green grass and beautiful views of the city. Nice playground. BBQ areas. If u go to top of playground area... there is special spot where u can hear echos! Parking is limited. Only 1 bathroom area. There is a male and female stall with metal toilets. Can be a line at times. Still a great park.

2022-05-05Fowler Creek is one of our regular spots. There are two main play structures, one standard playground with swings and slide and then another for bigger kids for climbing and spinning around. Theres also a rock slide around. Be sure to head to the top for beautiful sunrises/sunsets. If you stand in the middle of the top, the acoustics echo around you.The areas arent fenced in, so keep an eye on wandering little ones. If youre planning on a picnic, birthday, or baby shower, send someone early to reserve.

2021-11-08This is a beautiful park with paved walking paths that encircled it. Some paths can lead you up a small incline or if you rather you can use the stairways provided close to each path or you can stay on a path that has a flat surface near the base of the park Once you reach the top of the small hill there is an area where you have a view of San Jose. The park has a wonderful landscape with bushes throughout. There was a class in progress for seniors with soothing music and an instructor present in a separated cemented section. There is a playground for kids and tennis courts on the property. I saw two big nicely shaded bbq areas and a smaller one closer to the tennis courts. They have clean bathrooms for your convenience.
