There are no words to adequately express my gratitude for the services I received during the course of my, unusually complicated divorce. Farzad & Mazarei’s Law Firm is currently representing me in my custody case of my 1 year old son. My son’s father left the country for a year but is still seeking 50% physical custody upon his return. Everything up to this point has been great and I honestly cannot imagine being with another law firm. After going through two attorneys that did nothing for me but run up my bill, I was blessed to find Robert Farzad and his law firm. I have never met an attorney who was so sharp and intelligent. He ALWAYS looked out for the best interest of me and my daughter. Once I retained him I was finally able to sleep through the night and my stress levels were low. I never had to worry about anything. Robert is a genius when it comes to the law. His staff is super friendly and professional. It’s hard to find lawyers that have hearts anymore, but you can count on him. My case was very, very complex, I was so impressed with his strategic planning and how well he followed thru. If he says he’ll call you at a certain time he’s always on the ball and never late. I have had my share of lawyers and if all lawyers were like him this world would be a better place. I have moved out of state and wish he practiced out here. I still have to call him time to time for advice and he always directs me in the right direction. There aren’t very many lawyers that care about you after they get their money but he does. I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through my divorce without Robert and his hard working team!

Before I met Robert, I had never spent more than six hours per week with my eight month old son. I tried to fight for more time but was never able to succeed. I felt very lost and scared about what might happen because I had absolutely no understanding of the family court system. My first attorney would barely take my calls or inform me of what was going on. I contacted Robert through his website and online was on the phone with him later that same day. I explained my situation to him and he said that he thought he might be able to help me. Even after our first conversation I already felt better about everything. I met Robert at his office to discuss my case in greater detail. That was a meeting that I will never forget. After listening to me, Robert explained my options and the possibilities of what might happen. He was extremely upfront and honest with me. He then told me that he only accepts clients who are serious about their cases and who are willing to put in the hard work. This made understand that the only way Robert would fight for me was if I was willing to fight as hard, if not harder, for myself and my son. Right then, I knew that there was no one else I wanted to represent me. Robert immediately went to work preparing my case. Since things move slowly in family court, it took a while for my case to go in front of a judge. During that time, Robert did an excellent job of gathering all the facts and details he needed and preparing me for the fight that was ahead. He did a wonderful job of keeping my expectations realistic and kept me focused on the big picture. When our day in court came, I felt very confident and comfortable with Robert fighting for me. At the very first preliminary hearing, Robert was able to increase my time to include overnights every other weekend even though I live in San Diego and my son lives in Orange County. Robert was so well prepared that he knew every aspect of case inside and out. On several instances during the hearing, he even quoted multiple family law codes on the spot. This showed me the level of dedication that Robert was willing to give to my case was unparalleled. Throughout the entire process of my custody battle and divorce, Robert won on every single motion and argument that was made. He and his entire team at Farzad Family Law were so professional, courteous, and caring. Every one of his associates was always willing to take the time to make sure that completely understood everything and that all of my questions were fully answered no matter how big or how small. I knew my case was filled with an uphill battle to begin with. But when I reached out to the firm and they looked through the case, they quickly provided tools to start climbing. After that it was a long and hard battle to get to equality and Im so glad that I picked this firm. I came to Roberts office after I met someone at the court house and referred me to him. I was in a nasty divorce and needed an attorney who would take my case seriously and personally. My ex is one of those wives who would say or do anything to win sole custody of the child to have more money from child support. Robert is NOT the type of attorney who likes to lose. How many attorneys would make the judge read from top to bottom before the judge makes his final decisions. Most judges turn the pages without reading. If it wasnt for Robert I wouldve lost my custody and paying a lot money now. Taking care of my kid is my responsibility until my last breath. Losing a custody battle is not an option. It is not an exaggeration to say that the life I lead today is due to the work of Robert Farzad. I was ensnared in a deadly trap by a vengeful ex-wife intent on depriving me of the wealth I worked very hard for while at the same time alienating me from my children. These guys did a great job. In particular, the team approach really set them apart from other law firms, lending the obvious benefit: some lawyers are better at attention to detail, some litigation, some in managing relationships. All were important to me; however, rarely do those traits all lie within a single person. With the team at Farza & Ochoa, all of those strengths were delivered.
When I contacted Farzad Family Law to handle my divorce there was one thing that was important to me: I did not want to fight with my ex-wife verbally on the way out. A couple are married for many years and the last thing they do is say a lot of vile things that they later regret and have to live with. FFL handled this for us very well and I highly recommend them.
After 5 years of trying to negotiate custody for my son through other law firms, and having to settle for minimal visitation rights, I now have 50/50 custody for my son, thanks to Mathew and Ashley who were able to help me!!! 2022-07-20There is much more goodness to share about Farzad’s team than I can possibly say here. My counsel was always well prepared and thorough in their work. Their main priority was preserving the best interest of my sons. They knew the issues as if they were dealing with them first hand. It was a difficult and complicated case which the court was not always clear on. Gratefully, Farzad’s team consistently spoke up and advocated for my children as if they were their own.I communicated a desire to eliminate lengthy, unnecessary communications in order to save my budget for legal work and the Farzad team did all they could to minimize costs. I believe with any other counsel I would have paid thousands more for the outcome.Because my legal counsel carefully read every word of the final court order, we averted serious attempts by opposing counsel to alter the agreement in their own favor. My sons will never know the amazing efforts put forth by the Farzad team, but I will. I am forever grateful for their efforts and talents.Doug B.

2021-01-02Farzad & Ochoa’s law firm is. very professional and they gave me a sense of security, knowing that they were supporting me in my very contentious, drawn out divorce. I had 2 main attorneys (Valerie Vasquez & Alaa Alomar) who handled the day to day correspondence with me. Whenever I had a question come up, they were able to get back with me quickly with an answer that I could understand in layman’s terms. The few times I had to go to their office, I was treated with the utmost respect, kindness and understanding of what I was going through. I especially appreciated the work that Robert did in counseling me in how to deal with my X. It was a learning experience I will never forget. This firm saved me from a possible destructive outcome. 2014-12-18Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Robert and his staff. I contacted Robert via email around 1:30am out of desperation and I received a phone call same day. I was immediately put at ease by speaking with Robert regarding my case. My ex-husband had filed for full custody of our daughter for the second time in five years. Needless to say, I was in a state of shock and disbelief and desperate for help.Robert and I met a few days later and after reviewing all of the information I had to disprove the allegations, he took on my case. Four months later, my ex-husband not only dropped his full custody suit, but settled out of court to modifications on my terms. Robert, being the knowledgeable and stellar attorney he is, compromised with opposing counsel and my ex-husband, and managed to get my ex to agree to $10,000 in contribution towards my attorney fees.Robert and his staff are very forthcoming with information. They are very straight forward and always kept me up to date on new developments. 2016-10-17I am writing this review on behalf of my friend who wanted to leave a review for Farzad, but wanted to stay anonymous at the same time.Farzad was very friendly and welcoming upon meeting him. I had a family issue that needed consultation, and he was very informative about my options and the possible costs that would come with hiring him. Ultimately, he was very detailed in explaining all my options and after the consultation was over, he told me how much his retainer was and that his honest opinion was not to hire him (because he saw that as the best option). He also ended up refunding my consultation fee, which he absolutely did not need to do, but was very nice of him. I would definitely recommend seeing Farzad for any family issues, as he is informative and honest.

2012-09-26I highly recommend Robert Farzad and Farzad & Mazarei. He is well versed on divorce, child custody and family law. He is accountable and expects the same from you. Robert insists on total honesty. He creates a well thought out plan for your divorce case. He handles himself professionally at all times. All you have to do is watch him come to court with his trial briefs typed up to know he is totally professionally prepared. He won some amazing awards for me in my divorce case.
