My wedding was absolutely amazing! My fiancé and I had a rough year and a half planning our wedding. We had to move our wedding date and Colleen made it extremely easy and effortless. I was not an easy bride, but Colleen and her team were always patient with me and made me feel at ease. She also recommended the best vendors in town, which was extremely helpful. The wedding day went so smoothly and I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I truly was able to enjoy my day and take in every moment. Everyone was so impressed with our wedding and it is all due to Colleen and her team. I highly recommend Fairy Godmother and hope they can plan another event for me in the future.

Colleen and her team are so amazing and made our day seamless and worry free. Also, leading up to the day, she handled everything from helping us choose the vendors to contacting everyone about timelines and deliveries. She is very professional and extremely easy to talk to. She really seems like she loves her job too!! Chase was great with design and helping us pick out linens, dishes and the overall wedding theme. Like most 2020 bride and grooms, Covid threw many challenges into planning our wedding. With having to move our wedding date and location, to almost losing our venue a month before the wedding. Through all this, Colleen and her team never flinched, and managed the storm. Colleen always made herself available for me and the stress calls and texts I would put her through! We couldnt have asked for better communication and initiative from her team. They were always so proactive. The process went a lot smoother because she has such a great working relationship with the vendors. It is hard for my wife and I to delegate and let things out of our control. So when the day of came around, we were extremely nervous. From the start of the day until the venue closed, Colleen and her team were flying around the venue making sure we had nothing to worry about. I cant thank them enough and would recommend them to anyone! Definitely the best around! Thanks again Colleen!
The entire team at Fairy Godmother was absolutely incredible! Our wedding planning had become more work than it was fun due to COVID-19. We were forced to switch venues super late in the game and that’s when we met Colleen with Fairy Godmother, Colleen and her team took all of that stress away and planned the wedding of our dreams in just ten days!! With several last minute obstacles that ended up in our path to happiness, Fairy Godmother successfully helped us navigate through them and managed to coordinate a flawless wedding ceremony and reception that left us, our families, and the attendees extremely happy and thankful.
I hired Fairy Godmother to handle my own wedding plan in November of 2016 and loved them, so of course when my daughter was getting ready to turn sweet 16 I again turned to Colleen and her crew of wand wavers. To say that I am amazed by what Fairy Dani did for our small party would be the understatement of the year. Within a few weeks of hiring Dani, I fell ill with the dreaded virus of the year and was way more ill than ever anticipated. I could not make a single decision for the event. I gave Dani a budget, a main idea with color scheme and she RAN with it. Going above and beyond all expectations and handling all of the decisions like the professional she is. From flowers to food to event venue to decor and beyond, SHE HANDLED IT!!! Truly blew us away with the elegance of the table to the party music atmosphere and photo booth. Colleen & her group at Fairy Godmother could not have been better for our wedding. From a grooms point of view, every last detail was covered to ensure a great experience. The ability to have a detailed itinerary with who should be where / when / why etc. made the weekend run as smooth as possible. Also, being the point person for the other vendors to go to with questions really took a lot of stress of my wife.Couldnt recommend them enough for all of the work they did to make our day fantastic.
Is there a word limit on here because I simply dont have enough words to talk about how awesome Colleen and the FGM team is. As my fiance and I get ready to say I do in 9 days, I can safely say I dont feel nearly as stressed as I thought I would be leading up to the wedding, thanks to Colleen. Before the pandemic shook up our wedding plans and lives, I trusted and knew that hiring a wedding planner was going to be helpful. Now throw in a pandemic, working a full-time essential job, and living out-of-town. Colleen has been so incredibly helpful through it all, I never felt like our plans were falling through or falling apart. Although most of our planning was done virtually (mostly because we live out of town), the in-person meetings we had were always productive and fun. Colleen quickly became a friend to us and a real-life Fairy Godmother. And the best part of all this? We get to keep planning with Colleen since we postponed our big reception to a safer time :)
I would like to start off by saying Colleen is amazing! Due to COVID we had an entire venue and location change and guest count reduction and she made it such a pleasant experience for us! She took all our stresses away and made our wedding PERFECT. Colleen and her team were extremely organized, punctual and so very sweet! Brooke worked with us on our design and she did a fantastic job, everything was perfect and exactly how we imagined it! Colleen put together a surprise on our wedding day that absolutely surprised us and just showed us how much Colleen cared about us and our big day. I am named after the car, Chevelle, and Colleen found a 1970 Chevelle for us to take pictures with after our first looks. My dad was so surprised and thrilled because it is his favorite car! The car was stunning. It just made the day so much more special for us.My husbands favorite thing about Colleen when we met with her was her attention to detail and organization. Her budget spreadsheet was clear and organized and the wedding itinerary was extremely thorough. Our wedding party really appreciated having the detailed itinerary and so did we! I had an amazing time working with Colleen and her team! They were absolutely amazing in putting everything together for my sisters engagement. We had only a month and half to bring it all together and they were exceptional at bringing everything together in such a short amount of time. Also, took care of everything the day of the engagement. It was so stressful, but having Fairy Godmother there made the whole event run much smoother and I could actually enjoy the event and not worry about something going wrong because I knew they can take care of any issues. They were very coordinated in bringing all the vendors together and creating a timeline for the day of the event. They remained in contact with all vendors and addressed any concerns they had and immediately answered all questions and concerns. Honestly, Fairy Godmother Events really aided in making sure the engagement ran smoothly!

Colleen was amazing. In 6 months, she was able to make our special day one of the perfect days of our life. She was able to handle the different personalities and tastes in decorations of both the bride and groom. Needless to say I, the bride, had several changes in decorations, but Colleen and Sal were able to make the most fabulous reception ever, starting with finding a band, quartet, DJ, florist, make-up professional, hairstylist, the invitations, and decorations in such a short time. Fairy Godmother also helped with the dress rehearsal dinner, decorations, and pianists which made the whole experience even more memorable. Colleen was ready to handle any situation that occurred, for instance, my broken shoe, missing basket, and friends/families personalities. Our special day couldn’t have been better without Colleen’s graceful expertise.

Anne was my fairy, she was so kind and caring.My wedding was perfect.She became my friend. She cared about how we met and our history even who got along with who.She was so calming on our wedding day even though I was nervous it was definitely nice having someone who wasnt all nerves on my wedding day.My sister who asked for snacks 😁 as we were getting ready and she and and someone else ran out just to get a fruit platter 🥰 we even giggled how clumsy I am. Fairy Godmother is THE event planner and designer in Bakersfield, CA. They are always SO on top of it. As a wedding photographer, I get to see firsthand how my clients experiences are on their wedding day and its always 100% better when Fairy Godmother is a part of the day. Not only do they make sure everything runs so smoothly, they dream up the most beautiful designs for their clients - custom to each one and they are always so unique. I am always ecstatic when I hear that the Fairy Godmother team will be a part of one of my clients weddings because not only do they take complete care of their clients and make sure the day is stress-free, they also make sure to take great care of all of the vendors involved, which makes for a perfectly seamless day. They ask what I need throughout the day as a vendor to make the photos turn out as best as possible for our clients (florals for the flat lays, for example, or something to hold up to cover a sunflare). I cant stress enough how important communication is between vendors on a wedding day, and they completely nail it. They are always easy to find (some coordinators disappear and you can never find them when you need them). They are just ALWAYS there when you need them - be it for the clients OR a vendor. When my daughter was engaged, I knew that I wanted help on her wedding day so that I to could enjoy the day. I had chosen Fairy Godmother a Wedding and Event company to interview and invited my daughter and husband-to-be to come to the “meet the client” with a Godmother specially chosen for us by Colleen Bauer the owner. They were so impressed with the organizational skills, knowledge and genuine concern demonstrated that they decided to hire the company to manage their entire wedding. It was simple gorgeous and every detail was perfect.Fast forward a few years to sadly my husband passing away just a few weeks ago. Colleen and I had stayed in touch through Facebook; make sure to check out their page, when once again she amazed me with her special brand of magic and kindness. I mentioned that after the funeral services there would be a reception at the house and Colleen contacted me and offered to have a Godmother tend to me on that day as a gift. What an amazing woman! The Godmother she chose, Janet, once again was a perfect fit and handled the details of setting up the reception and guiding the catering while I was at the services so that when we arrived home, it was a smooth transition as people were welcomed into the house by Janet until I could arrive. She ensured that food and beverages were kept stocked, she made flower arrangements for the tables among many other details that made the day end on a note of love and compassion from friends as we shared stories about my husband with smiles and laughter.Colleen and her company embody what is good in this world. When it comes to a planning a wedding. Especially your wedding, you don’t wanna do it alone. Your expectations on how perfect the day should turn out are all you can think about at the time. When we decided to hire a wedding planner, we already had our theme in mind which was Disney. So when we heard of the fairy godmother it only seemed perfect for us. Our very own fairy godmother was Cassandra. She was really nice, exciting and very professional. We loved how creative she was and her ability to help us envision our special day. She was very professional, Straight forward and easy to work it. Most importantly she was very comforting through the entire process of planning. When our nerves increased she was there to reassure us positively every step of the way. She was very organized and informative and she worked well with our budget. On our wedding day she and her staff made it magical. Thanks to her and her team they helped us pick the perfect vendors and create a magnificent vintage Disney themed wedding. They followed through on schedule and made it easy for our guest to enjoy themselves. Cassandra was always there for us when we needed her even after the wedding. It was such a blessing to have my real godmother (Denise) help me on the day of my wedding. It brought a sense of relief knowing I didnt have to worry about things the day of. I truly was able to sit back and just enjoy my wedding day. She gave my mom and I great advice along the way. Our Fairy Godmother, Denise, was just what we needed for my daughters wedding. It did not take me long to figure out we could not have managed without her. I had 8 months to plan my wedding so I knew I would need a coordinator, I was assigned to Sara & from the very beginning she was always prompt. Numerous calls & texts throughout the whole process & she ALWAYS got back to me within minutes. Fast forward to the day of my wedding, Sara was truly amazing. I could sit here & write an essay on how perfect she was. Never in my life have I felt so special. I wish that I could go back to that day just so I could relive those moments with her. She made me feel like a celebrity. If I was thirsty she had a water or some kind of beverage in front of me within seconds. If I needed to reapply lipstick she had it on her reapplying it for me. (Funny story) I needed bug spray because there were mosquitoes & I thought “that’s impossible who would think to bring bug spray” & within a minute she was spraying me with bug repellent. Nothing went wrong the day of & if it did I had no idea because her main priority was to make ME happy. & she did just that. At the end of the night when she gave me a hug & told me she was leaving I felt like I had to say bye to a friend. The whole experience was truly one I will never forget & Sara is the one who I need to thank for that. Both my husband & I give her all the credit for making our wedding the one of our dreams. In fact, I didn’t even dream of it being so perfect but Sara made it an event that people will never forget. Sara is truly the best & if you have a choice on who you can choose for your fairy, please pick her!
Sara was so fun to work with. She listened to our ideas and helped make them happen. When we needed to have a live conversation, Sara was always willing. 2022-05-23I was lucky enough to have Sara as my Fairy Godmother and she truly WAS my Fairy Godmother.When I first started planning my wedding I thought since I was super organized and structured that it would be really easy. As the planning process went on, I quickly realized there is SO much more that goes into a wedding than just being organized. I had SO many random questions and I didnt know who to ask. No matter how organized you are, it can get really overwhelming, really quick. My bridesmaid encouraged me to meet with Fairy Godmother and it was truly the best decision I made.Sara was my Fairy and she was there for me every step of the way! She was there for all the random questions and even got quotes for me so I didnt have to call multiple vendors. She was SO organized and never stressed about ANYTHING. The day of our wedding, she was so on top of everything! If something went wrong, I would have no idea. Sara helped my wedding be the best day of my life! My husband and I both adore her!If you are a Type A bride (or any bride!) and are unsure if you should hire a wedding coordinator....DO IT.

2021-11-15I can’t say enough great things about Colleen Baur and the team at Fairy Godmother. As the mother of the bride and a person who has helped plan a number of other weddings I knew I needed a team to enable me to relax and truly enjoy our day. Colleen and her team were easy to work with and helpful throughout the process. The attention to detail and prompt responses to all of my questions made planning a breeze. The day of the ceremony was so relaxing and I was able to enjoy every special moment with my daughter and family. We feel like we have left with new friends. 2021-01-2510/10!! Colleen is the best Fairy Godmother out there!!! If you are debating on having a wedding planner, let this review be the one to change your mind. Let me give you a few examples, I am currently going through Chemotherapy & on my wedding day I was experiencing some nausea (ughh)--but in the midst of photos, Colleen comes to the rescue with water & comfort! Any time I felt a moment of stress, she would handle it with such grace. I honestly do not know what I wouldve done without her at my wedding. Hire them for all your event planning needs, you will not regret it! :)

2021-11-07Its so hard to believe it has been a month since my daughters wedding.Caleb & Brookes wedding day went off with out a hitch and we owe it all to Colleen and her team. It was the PERFECT wedding and everything Caleb & Brooke had dreamed of. Colleen is very professional, patient, organized and an amazing wedding coordinator. We were so incredibly lucky to have her help over the past year and especially on the wedding day. 2022-05-10When It comes to preparation, execution day of, and nailing all of the details of planning an event, it does NOT get any better than Colleen and her Team at Fairy Godmother, Even before I arrived at the Bakersfield Country Club the day of , Her team was already on site (And had been for some time) checking, and then doubling checking to make sure EVERYTHING was in place, setting, fixing linens, adjustments to flowers, glasses and silverware were perfect, you name it. and as a DJ, Timelines are the Holy Grail day of, so when I received hers and started going through it I knew Not only was I in Good hands, but the event would run flawlessly (and it DID) she is amazing at what she does because she cares and surrounds her self with like a minded staff..
