They didnt have the books I was looking for, but I guess I was looking for some pretty uncommon books. The guy working there still did his best trying to help me find books that were similar and gave some wonderful recommendations. I ended up purchasing a book that he recommended and am looking forward to reading it.
They are my fav! SUCH a good selection of LGBTQ books, both for kids and adults. I always send friends, co-workers, and customers here. The shop is also so nicely organized which I love. 💜😘😘💜 Love you Dog Eared Books!
Very nice, friendly. I stopped by to get a one dose Advantix for my boxer and he got a free toy as well. The store is cute and has the good food he likes. I was in a hurry but will definitely be going back when I have more time to do some shopping.
This place is part of the character of Harvard Square. It one of those bookstores that you can walk in and get lost in for hours. I always find time to wander in here if Im in the area.The fact that I met one of my dearest friends in front of this place is just a bonus.I have a special place in my heart for the Dog Eared Books.
Not huge but really unique and locally relevant books. Small but great kids book selection. You definitely will be turned on to a good book here! Prices are good, lots of used/sale items.

I live in the Castro so always end up coming here to browse and buy books. I wish they had more free books like the Dog Eared Books in Mission! Overall its a great place to spend time.
Bookshops is definitely a store where I can spend a lot of time and this is a fine one in the middle of Castro. Everytime I come around this area, I always like to go in and spend some time checking out the books.
A very eclectic selection. I could of spent hours in there, but also lots of money. I got away with just spending $40 which wasnt too bad. They have pretty much eveything hardback coffeetable books, literature, poetry. I was especially enamoured with the Russian section, and the staff were very pleasent too.

What a cute atmosphere in a fun place in San Francisco! Wide selection with books you wouldnt typically find in a big box store. Love the categories and how it is divided and the staff was super friendly.

2022-04-25Fabulosa Books has a great mix of LGBT books and non-LGBT books. Their non-LGBT collection is inevitably less comprehensive, but I was struck by the thoughtfulness reflected in this selectivity. For each section or genre they seemed to carry a great mix of classics and well-reviewed recent titles. I was so impressed by whoever buys books for this store that I found myself perusing titles that I knew nothing about and was rewarded with several discoveries that I am reading now and enjoying a lot! Maybe I am just the exact target demographic for this store but I am definitely going to put aside more time to shop there on my next trip to SF.

2021-07-26I can’t get enough of this bookstore! I try to make it here every time I cross the bridge. AMAZING selection of LGBTQ+ books, including rare titles and vintage pulp. A great general selection too. I really like their unique selection of postcards. Really friendly, helpful staff here.

2021-08-10They have a good selection of LGBTQ+ books. Its a relatively small bookstore in the middle of the Castro so I would have been surprised if they didnt have a good selection.I was disappointed that they didnt have more used books, but happy they had the books Ive been looking for.
