Wow! It was fun! Staff are friendly and helpful. Lexie and Philip were our tour guides and they were wonderful! I highly recommend this place if you want to go kayaking. Parking can be difficult so plan ahead. We came on a Monday and it was busy but we went back on a Tuesday and it was a lot better. Still busy but not super crowded.
Simone and Philip lead our tour today and were absolutely amazing! We had an amazing time and they were super helpful when we “purposely” flipped into the water for a “swim”. We happen to go out on a day the currents were a more rough than usual so we didn’t get to go into the caves for safety reasons but we still had lots of fun thanks to both of our guides. Extremely fun and knowledgeable!
Booked the 1.5hr Kayak tour at the last minute, pretty fun, make sure to apply a lot of WATERPROOF sunscreen before hand. Kayaks are sit-on-top == you will get your lower body wet, wear swim suits and bring a change of clothing! If you havent kayaked before, prepare for the worst case scenario -> flipping over in the ocean. 3 boats flipped during our tour, but our tour guide was super helpful in assisting them back up onto the kayak! Enjoyed the experience!
The trip was expertly guided by Jake, and he couldn’t have been a kinder dude. Very knowledgeable and made a lot of effort to show us Abalone shells, lobsters, fish, and even a corny joke at the end. I will say they made a big point to have me there 30 minutes early and we stood around and stared at each other and didn’t start walking toward the beach until 930 so the tour didn’t really start until 10am. We probably didn’t get all our allotted time out on the water but it was still fun. The area they take you snorkeling is close to the cliffs and the visibility wasn’t great during our tour but that’s never a guarantee.
We went on a kayaking tour guided by April and Liam, and had the best time!! They were knowledgeable and fun to listen to! We learned about the habitats that surround us, we saw some dolphins that came up pretty close, and some sea lions! They also told fun stories about the caves as we passed them - we weren’t able to go inside because of the weather conditions, but we felt safe and comfortable! They made sure we were feeling ok the whole time :) Great tour and even better tour guides!
We were told we would be going into the caves and then we were given a very ridiculous excuse why we could while we watched other kayak tour companies go into the caves. The tour guides had bad attitudes when I questioned them about it and when we got back to the store my complaints were met with more attitude. I would definitely not recommend this tour to anyone! The only pleasurable part of it was being out on the water and kayaking with my girlfriend, which we could have done ourselves renting our own equipment. They should be reported for false advertising to the better business borough which I will be looking into when I get home.
We called to rent paddle boards last minute and they were super accommodating. Everyone we had an interaction with were very sweet, especially Simone. Simone was very helpful from beginning till the end. She even went above and beyond by helping our friend carry her paddle board as our friend was unable to lift the board due to an injury. Thank you Simone and team !! Highly recommend them
Overall a good experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. My first time. I saw a shark and saw coral reef. Could be improved with clean wetsuits and snorkel as both were sandy. Little more hands on instruction on troubleshooting water in snorkel and proper way to put on snorkel would help.
Awesome place, great people. Went on the sea cave tour with my parents as well as my brother and his new wife, we had a blast going into the cave, Trent got us all in and out smoothly. Trent and Destiny were both great, made the trip extra fun with their humor and expert guidance. Highly recommend and will likely take this tour again in the future.
Cali and Jen gave us a fun and informative tour that was bang for the buck and fun. To take a group of mixed experience folks out into the Pacific Ocean and entertain, educate and give us safe adventure was amazing. I would recommend as the check in with Riley and the guides are great.
We had such a great time on our kayak tour this past Sunday! Jayden and Joe were awesome guides for us- very knowledgeable on the area and what we saw, while also giving us room to enjoy at our own pace. My husband had never kayaked before but he was at ease immediately. Would highly recommend Everyday California and Jayden/Joe for your time in the area!
Good time. Great experience. Really knowledgeable guys and super helpful. They do everything they can to ensure you feel safe and have a good time. They should make it clear in their marketing that the chances of actually going in the caves or even getting close are very low at certain times of the year. Only reason for the four stars.
One of the best kayaking outfitters in the area but I guess the word is definitely out. I discovered Everyday California through Groupon in 2014 & have purchased at least 8 kayaking tours with them since then. Though I have my own tandem kayak, I find their tour package so affordable & convenient, Im happy to leave my kayak at home & just bring my friends & family for a more carefree & unencumbered outing. They still have BLAZING Groupon deals, but have blacked out use to only a few slots in their 10am tours. Naturally, with so few slots available, the ealiest possible booking for my Groupon-purchased tour is BEYOND the vouchers expiration date. (Be aware, this means that AFTER the expiration date, the vendor is only legally obligated to apply the $ you paid Groupon as a credit toward the price of a tour, & not the value of the tour in full - which is what you expected when you purchase the voucher.) I think theyve erred & blacked out too many slots for their Groupon deals to be used, especially during the spring & summer seasons. Since I couldnt use my already-purchased voucher to book a tour before the middle of August, I booked a less expensive cash tour with a different outfitter and am trying to get a refund from Groupon.Everyday is still a great outfitter and has expanded by opening a beautiful new store just up the street, but has moved up from the small local shop and is now set on world domination.
The rating is for the friendly, helpful, and enjoyable staff. The excursion into the cove was, like all outdoor/wildlife adventures, determined largely by conditions and circumstances, and we did not have the best luck. Still, it was an enjoyable time, and the guides made the most of it. If you are looking for paddling for its own sake, you might be disappointed. This was just an easy fun paddle. If you are inexperienced, no problem.
Trent and Josh were great! They made sure we felt comfortable and waited on us (slow New Yorkers who aren’t use to water sports haha)! Definitely worth it! If you want a San Diego experience you definitely need to have this on your list! Thank you so much guys for the information and adventure!
Absolutely loved my experience with this company. trent and cody were amazing guides on the kayak tour. the conditions were very intimidating in gray may, but the knowledge of our guides made for an awesome tour. while waiting for the tour to begin ryan and carson were extremely kind and helpful. both made great conversation and were able to answer all of our questions. the following day i came back for a surfing lesson. alex made the experience so enjoyable. he was extremely encouraging and helpful with all of his experience. nico checking us out at the counter offered great recommendations for local food. he was so kind and thoughtful in making us feel welcomed into the store. i will definitely come back to everyday california the next time i am in san diego. cannot say enough positive things about all of the workers!
Sydney and Carina taught me so well that I’m officially entered in the Eddie Big Wave Invitational. Robert Kelly Slater messaged me immediately after my surf lesson for surf lessons. I declined because I cannot teach like Sydney and Carina teach. Robert can only hope that Sydney and Carina find time for him. If they do, he may just become the greatest surfer the world has ever seen 🤞.
We did not go near the caves. I understood that due to conditions we might not be able to go into the caves but it was disappointing not to even see them close up. We paddled to the kelp area, circled around and then paddled back. I was expecting more for a tour. I could have rented kayaks by the hour, saved money and did the same thing. We are giving 2 stars because our guides were friendly and knowledgeable.
This was my first time paddle boarding (SUP). I had a private lesson with Janek who was very professional, thorough and patient with me. I had so much fun and actually was able to stand up on the board! Everyone was very professional and friendly in the shop as well. Thank you for a great experience. I will be back next time I’m in La Jolla.
Had an amazing time kayaking! Went out with Jack who was leading and Steve who is super knowledgeable and vibes were great. Definitely recommend. We had some issues with Groupon but the GM jumped in and was very accommodating. Took care of us and also provided a discount.
We did a snorkel tour. The people at the shop were nice, the guides were nice and the gear worked fine. However, Im not sure if I booked the wrong tour or what...but what we did was NOT worth the $550ish we paid. I did specifically ask about snorkeling in the cove when I called to book the tour, but from what the guide said, it didnt sound like thats where we went. We walked down to the packed beach from the shop, the guides told us to stay between them once we were out on the water, and then we all swam out past the break in the waves. We swam around for a little while and one person out of 9 saw a fish. There was very little interaction with the guides, which I understand is normal when theres a big group, but basically one guide sat on her phone while we were out there. Im not sure if we were in the correct place or not, because it looked nothing like the pictures I saw online of La Jolla Cove. I understand that no one can control rough waves or wildlife, but I guess I thought we were going to a more protected cove with more wildlife. Its not worth the money and would have been better to just rent some snorkel gear and splash around a little on your own. There was no benefit to paying so much money through the shop. The guide indicated an area we could drive to a little ways away, where the water was more protected and less rough and the snorkeling was a bit better over there, which I guess is what I thought we were paying for in the first place?, but after wasting so much money and everyone being tired from fighting to get past the waves to do nothing but float, see nothing and get tangled in kelp, they didnt seem up for anything else. Based on the reviews it sounds like this shop does a great job with kayaking tours and surfing, but I just dont see the point in charging so much for a snorkeling tour when they dont really do anything to justify the expense. This was a really big deal for us to book while we were visiting our Marine at Camp Pendleton for the weekend, and a major expense, and it was a major letdown.
Great job at explaining the paddle boarding and places to swim to in order to get out into the ocean.Sunscreen for $25, a bit steep.Nonetheless, a very fun, informative and memorable time paddle boarding in La Jolla, definitely plan on checking out their kayaking program as well.
Unfortunately we didnt get to go in the caves, which was the whole reason for going. I was very disappointed with not going in the caves and they didnt tell us until we asked about it. Also, one of the leaders was kind of rude while on the water. I recommend just renting your own kayak and doing it yourself. Wasnt much of a tour. We did see some dolphins upclose which was cool at least.
I would not recommend renting snorkeling gear here. It was $25 per person, which we we wouldve been ok with if the gear was up to par. The snorkels did not have a dry valve which made it prone to getting water in, and our fins were curved/bent when theyre actually supposed to be flat, so they didnt help us swim much at all. Also, some of the workers at the store didnt provide the best customer service; they were mostly nice, but it just felt a bit disorganized/unprofessional/rushed. Unfortunately wont be returning here to rent gear again. We might just invest in our own snorkel gear.
This was a great experience.... Liam our guide was very informative with a laid back vibe. The perspective from the water is beautiful. The Emerald Cave that your able to go inside , with the help of your guide made it worth every penny. I will definitely go back here and explore the area on my own....with a rented kayak of course.
Everyday California was recommended by my brother as a frequent traveler to San Diego. Our tour guides Steve and Jack were great. Steve made me feel at ease abut being out at sea and explaining the barrier that protects the area from outside predators (sharks! Lol)… Will bring my boys back next year for sure!! A must at La Jolla when I’m the San Diego area!!
We did the double kayaking sea cave tour and it was amazing. First I should say that we had perfect weather & very calm ocean, we were very fortunate. The tour was amazing, everything was well organized and operated smoothly. Tiffany and Josh, our tours guides were friendly and informative, giving lots of great info on the wildlife, which there was TONS of. We saw harbor seals, sea lions, dolphins and a juvenile grey whale. We will definitely book with them again when friends and family come to visit.
I.G. is the honest to God best kayak guide we could have ever imagined. There were several other groups out there and none of them were having as much relaxing fun as we had, seriously. He was born to do this and he delivered in every single way. He made sure everyone was comfortable and made personal connections with each group (when we went to the bar afterwards my boyfriend said I wish I.G. was here). Even his historical overviews of the major landmarks in La Jolla were captivating and still kept the tour moving. We were super lucky that the tide and swoll allowed us to go into one of the caves, and I.G. made sure everyone got in safely and could experience the magnificent view. Absolutely incredible, could not recommend more.We booked through AirBnB experiences, but you can book directly as well. If you are bringing a phone, put it in a ziplock or waterproof bag, because it will 100% get wet (along with you).
I purchased their deal via Groupon for a 90 minute tour for two. Beautiful views and awesome experience. Loved it so much now considering getting a kayak of my own. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly as were all of their staff. Telephone service might need a little work as far as from the customer service aspect, tone and friendliness specifically needs improvement. Only 4 stars because we purchased 90 minutes and we were back within an hour. Shorted 30 minutes of the experience.Additionally expect $10 per wetsuit rental$5for lockersAnd they have these nifty holders for cell phones to keep them dry and keep taking pictures throughout the whole experience for $25. Pricing via Groupon is not up to date. You wont regret it and come prepared to get wet!
Highly recommend!! Our tour guides Josh and Lance were amazing! They were educated about the cove and interesting but also kept you feeling very safe! I’ve kayaked before in lakes/rivers but I was nervous about open ocean kayaking. They kept our group together pretty tight and took a few breaks to huddle and explain some history.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They market this as going into caves and exploring the cove. Well you don’t do that you just kayak in the ocean. We decided not to participate and asked for a refund. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. They did not give us a refund but I am reporting them to Air bnb for false advertising. There are many other kayak tours that are ligit and go into the caves. Please go elsewhere unless you wanna get ripped off and be treated with disrespect. I got this as a bday gift for my boyfriend and unfortunately our day was pretty much ruined. All because of a money hungry shady company like this. Shame on you. Also, they have a satisfaction guarantee that they do not uphold.
Can’t say enough good things about the people that work here and the experiences they create, from the people working up at the counters to the instructors, they make the experience so chill. I spent a month in San Diego and decided to try to learn how to surf and the surf instructors were amazing! Took me out of my comfort zone and taught me some really good techniques. I also had a friend visit me and we went on a kayaking tour and it was such a good experience and we loved the tour guides’ attitudes and high energy. Will definitely be back!-Christian
Went on a kayak tour through La Jolla caves and it was super cool. The tour guides are great- especially Tyler- and they make it really fun and informational. I recommend getting a wetsuit which you can rent from them for $10 and a floating waterproof phone case if you wanna bring your phone with you. So fun!
This place is definitely not as advertised in the pictures. It makes it look like your going to be on a nice relaxing kayak ride thru caves. That’s what it looks like on tue advertisement. When we got to the location they charged us extra money for wetsuits and a locker to keep our stuff. Once we changed we were told to walk down to the beach where we would meet the tour guide. We were told we can’t go into the caves cuz of the rough water, and basically would just be kayaking out in to the ocean and then right back in. When it was time to go into the water me and my girl friend decided we did not want to do it because it was definitely not what we thought we had paid for. So we left. As we were walking away we were chased down by one of the guides asking us where we were going. We told him we didn’t want to do it because it was not what we though it was. Once we got back to the store we asked for a refund. They were rude and told us they can’t refund, even tho we didn’t even get in the water. They did refund us the extra money we had to pay for the wet suits and the locker. And then we’re given a phone number to call about the refund. We called and no luck. Do not waste your money going here, it’s pretty much a scam. It’s nothing like you see in the pictures. Thank you Everyday California for wasting our morning and then refusing to give us a refund. This place is false advertising at its finest.
We did the Sea Cave Kayak Tour that we purchased through Groupon. It was a great tour for any skill level. Everyday California provided us with life vests and helmets. They had wet suits for daily rental, which were a great price and we were so glad we rented them. The tour was very educational. Unfortunately the swells didn’t allow our group access to the caves, but we got close enough. We saw sea lions and dolphins. EC has great apparel for purchase. Matt, the tour guide was calming, informative and told great stories of his weekly adventures. The only reason I’m not giving 5 is because there was no place to rinse off after the tour. Overall wonderful experience!
I booked the Kayak tour on 7/8/18 with my wife and cousins from out of town. They were really excited about it, and I was hoping it would be worth the $200. Unfortunately, it was not. Primarily because we did not get to kayak into any of the caves, which is supposed to be the main attraction of the tour. Our guides, Enrique and Cody, said we couldnt go in because there isnt enough time, yet they spent about 25-35 minutes telling us random stories about La Jolla while we were just floating around in the water. What made it even more disappointing was seeing other kayak tours, like HBK, go in and out of the caves and really enjoying them. It truly seemed like a waste of money. We could have just rented kayaks and paddled into the caves on our own, spending a quarter of the price of the tour. I cant in good conscience recommend this tour to anyone, or any of my friends/family who come to visit San Diego. You live, you learn.
Its going on a year since they’ve actually taken any group into the coves. They pretty much take your money, and sell you this story about how the waters are “too crazy” to go into the coves. Been here 3 times and each time that’s their excuse.. but the water is barely a 4 out of 10 regarding waves each time I’ve gone… the average joe smoe can get past those waves. But that’s the sham they’ve figured out to sell to put as little work on their instructors as possible because most people get tickets through groupon so the pay is lower than going direct - so they downsell the experience when you arrive… if you pay to do this, just be prepared to sit in a kayak on very calm STILL waters and just float from one end of the beach shore, to the other and back to the sand 🤷🏽♂️
Im traveling solo and booked the Kayaking in La Jolla tour on Airbnb. As a solo traveler, the Everyday California team made me feel right at home! My tour guide, Trent, was PHENOMENAL! He shared so many little details about the area and its history, not only did I feel safe and included but I also learned a lot. Trent did a wonderful job creating a truly magical experience and Ill always remember it - thank you Everyday California! I will definitely be back for more tours.
The Sea Cave Kayak Tour was a great experience for first time ocean kayakers like myself. I highly recommend going if you want to baby-step your way out of your comfort zone. My tour guide, Trent, told us about some of the history that makes the area famous, the geological features of what lied below us when we were in the water, and things to think about for the future if we want to continue seeing the beautiful La Jolla shores the way they are now. I dont know about the other tour guides but if you have Trent then youll have a good time. That said, there are some things that I wish were better about the Sea Cave Tour. The first thing is that you should lower your expectations about the sea cave itself. You go half way through a cave and then you go right back out. Thats it. Most of the trip is just getting there and getting back, which was fun with out a doubt but the title of the tour makes up probably 3% of the actual tour. (90*.03 ~ 3 minutes) The second thing is that if you are taking a single you better be in decent shape because the tour isnt waiting for you to catch up and nobody is looking behind to make sure that everyone does. The last thing that I wasnt too happy about was that my group was split up into two different tours. The main reason why I went on this tour was to share the experience with the people that I know and because we were split up it made the experience less memorable. In summary, lower expectations a little and youll have a blast!
Took my hubby to San Diego because he had never been. Had to do the Kayak trip because we heard great things...so glad we did!!!! The staff was very nice and educated on us every step!! Trent was our tour guide and he is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! I was nervous about the trip but felt like we were in great hands. He was very thoughtful in deciding if it was safe to enter the caves. He made the decision that conditions were good to do so and he was right!!! We had a BLAST and definitely recommend this trip and Trent for your guide. You wont be disappointed!!!!!
Wow! Had the time of my life. My friend and I last min booked this and it was the highlight of our trip. Couldnt of asked for a better time. Nat and Jack are the best and made us feel so safe, and so fun! We learned a lot and rode a bunch of waves! Came back the next day for more too. If you want to do it only book here and ask for them! Thanks again guys.
DONT RENT PADDLE BOARD from here!!!! This was the worst experience I have ever had!!! First off the parking is horrible there is only residential parking in the community surrounding there. Then we find the shop and u have staff members that are not positive or motivating. The paddle boards are inflatables and are of horrible quality. The handles were pieces of rope tied on. This made carrying the boards very hard. BY THE WAY you have to CARRY the boards down a narrow main street wich is very hard!!!! The boards were super heavy and we were both in great shape. After u get down there the beach is covered by a crappy hotel so tourist are everywhere! We took the paddle boards out into the ocean and dont even think of making it to the caves on one of those it is not going to happen!!! We tried. So we decided to paddle surf like they show in the pictures on their web page only to find out that the boards are not designed for that! The boards dive strait down and do not work. After that u must carry the boards all the way back up the hill to return them. They offer no help or carts to get your boards back. The shop is dirty and ran by a bunch of teenagers. We were very disappointed at this experience. One of the staff members basically told us that it is not good to rent paddle boards for them they are more of a kyack company. Well screw them!!! DONT PADDLE BOARD HERE!!!
My wife and I took our boys, ages 11 and 14, kayaking today in La Jolla with Everyday California and had an amazing experience!! My wife booked our tour over the phone and they had excellent customer service. She loved that they even called her back when she had questions. They were very informative and helpful, even when she had to make a change to our reservation. One of best part of the tour itself was the guides, Thomas and Jake! Super fun guides, they addressed us by name every time. They took time to make the boys feel comfortable and were joking around with them. Excellent guides, very knowledgeable and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs!! They made it a super fun day!! We will definitely be back!
What an awesome kayak tour! This is a great company that offers kayak tours, snorkeling tours, snorkeling and kayak tours, etc. Helmets and life jackets come with the kayak tours and you can rent wet suits for $10. After your first tour, you receive 50% off future tours (except kayak tours) for life and 50% off equipment rental. Our guides were Nate and Julia. They were so funny and knowledgeable and were very careful to keep us all safe. We are planning to go back to rent a wet suit and flippers and go snorkeling. Parking can be tricky and is explained in detail in the email they send to you about your tour. Check in is easy and the staff is very nice.
I rented some gear to go out paddle boarding in December. I LOVED it. Don’t get me wrong, the water was pretty chilly... just don’t fall in lol. The staff were very accommodating and the prices were very fair. I have not done any tours with them, however while I was out, I passed several groups who all seemed to be having lots of fun. I’ll definitely be back out to borrow some snorkeling gear!!!
Our kayak tour was the best part of our trip to California, according to my teenage daughters. Cody and Joe were our guides. They were fun, engaging and shared a lot of local information. We have used other tour companies in California, but now prefer Everyday California and will definitely schedule tours with them in the future.
This was our first time doing sea/ocean kayak and it was awesome! The tour is great and gives you a good bit of history along with conservation information! The cave was awesome too! Nate and Alexis were great guides! We will be renting other equipment from you all in the future! Keep being awesome!
We loved our tour with guide Jack. He was really friendly and told great stories about the area around La Jolla. We didnt rent the wet suits so we got really wet. Since it was May the water was a bit cold but us hearty Canadians didnt suffer much. :) I would suggest you bring a warm change of clothes for after though. Its not a super easy paddle so if you dont kayak much you should double up to give you more power. Overall it was a fun afternoon out on the ocean.
The Everyday California Team was very good at answering questions and following up with our reservation. Alex and Tyler were very knowledgeable and made our adventure really fun. We are still unsure how Tyler was able to brave such a cold water temperature, but we were so grateful for the way he swam behind us to guide our kayak through the water cave. We enjoyed some amazing views!
We had an amazing experience with Kayaking to the sea caves with the Everyday California group! Our guides Ruben and Abby were super friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It was our first time kayaking in open ocean water and we went with our two kids ages 9 and 11. Our two kayaks were generally lagging behind the rest of the group. They safely guided us in and out of the water and into and out of the caves! Ruben got a wonderful family picture of us inside the caves that will definitely make its way into a picture frame. An experience to remember our trip by!
Everyday California was great! Very reasonable prices. I chose the kayak tour of the caves and booked a double kayak for my boyfriend and I. Joe and Caleb were our tour guides and they were super nice and very knowledgeable about the caves and surrounding areas. Very safe tour, it’s not scary at all! (In case anyone is afraid of kayaking in the open ocean). Book here, you’ll love it! Also, their reef friendly spf sunscreen is the best!! thank you Joe and Caleb!
The name of the tour makes it seem like most of the kayaking experience will take place in the sea caves but it actually ended up being about 1.5 hours of fighting waves and maybe two minutes in a sea cave. It was still fun and even saw some dolphins. However, if we had known it would be less than 5 minutes in the sea caves we would not have done it. The tour guides Anna and Danielle were very nice and allowed us to stop to see the dolphins which was cool.
It was a great experience kayaking into the cave. Josh and Lorna were awesome guides, super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We learned about tiger sharks, geology of the area, history of residents etc. We highly recommend Everyday California with Josh and Lorna as guides!
I love Everyday! Their trips are fun and solid equipment, but their staff is #1! I get tired of going into a business and the employees acting like theyre almost annoyed to serve you. This place has super knowledgeable and welcoming staff that is happy youre there! I love them!
Private surf lesson for 5 and 6 year old boys, excellent experience!!!!! Alex had my 6 year old, who’s not terribly athletic, up on a surfboard within 30 minutes! My younger son, who turned 5 a week ago, was perfectly happy just riding the board on his knees. When the boys wanted a break, Alex showed them how to find sand crabs, which they are now fascinated with. It was a wonderful experience!! Is parents had just as much fun as the kids. Both of my boys are good swimmers, but It would have been fine if they weren’t. They were never very deep, and Alex was extremely capable. I saw their surf camp happening at the same time and I was also impressed with that operation as well. Everyone in the shop is extremely kind, helpful, and just plain friendly.
Great experience all things considered. Took fam of 5 on snorkel tour. Bad luck with cold water and poor visibility. Didn’t see any cool marine life but kids enjoyed being out there and tour guides were fantastic. They helped us make the best of mother nature not cooperating - which you can’t fault them for. Got to keep gear for the day and 50% future rentals + 10% off clothing is a nice deal. They even threw in a locker since we had to spend extra for wetsuits given the water temps. Would definitely recommend as an outfitter plus very cool clothing in the store.
Took a tour with my SO, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The tour guides Trent and Caleb were awesome, very friendly and personable! They were also incredibly knowledgeable about the area. I really appreciated them taking tome to get to know all of us on the tour as well. I plan to book another tour in the future as well! 5 star experience!
The service was extraordinary. the tour leaders Rubin and Nora were so nice and friendly and super helpful! I got stung by sting Ray and they helped and got me the help I needed. the staff at the front desk were very niceand helpful too. I strongly recommend directly coming to this place if you want to experience any type of water activity.
Great store staff with friendly service. Kayak tour with guides Tyler and Olivia was fantastic.Unfortunately, the waves did not cooperate so we could not enter the cave. However, Tyler and Olivia told us many details of the cove and it was a fun 1.5 hrs+ kayaking in the cove.
I couldn’t decide how to rate this tour. I really want to give them 5 stars because they were very nice, but I just can’t. I bought a 2 hour guided tour and it was maybe 11/2 hours at best. We booked this tour so we could explore the caves, but when we checked in they said they weren’t doing the caves that day because it’s high tide and can be dangerous. That’s understandable. However, there were other tour groups going in the cave no problem. When we asked why we couldn’t, they had some excuse, that didn’t make sense. It was really disappointing. On top of that, this is not a cheap tour for 4 people. So if they actually gave us the full 2 hours, went in the caves or gave us a voucher to come again when we can actually go in the caves, I’d give 5 stars.
The kayak tour was so much fun. Logan and Brice were very helpful and shared lots of interesting information on the area. The cave was beautiful. I wish we had more time in there. Cant wait for our next trip, we will be doing this again but next time we will try the snorkeling tour.
The day we toured with Everyday California it was unseasonably foggy. You couldnt see more than 100 yards in front of you. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves very much!Trent was a most gracious host making sure we were all safe and that we got the sea lions share of our kayaking experience.Big shout out to Zane and the retail crew, too!We picked up some EDC swag that Im super proud to rep back east.Book with Everyday California, you wont be disappointed!
This was an amazing experience! The staff was so helpful and informative. I did the kayak sea cave tour, it was my first ever time kayaking. I didn’t have any issues, it was pretty easy to do. The water is cold so I would suggest going on a warm day or renting the wetsuit. If you get motion sickness take your medicine because it is very rocky. You need one of those plastic phone holders if you want to take your phone with you for pictures, the bags in the shop cost like $36. I left my phone so that it wouldn’t get wet but one of the staff members took a pic for us and sent it to us at the end. My tour guides were Mark & Steven, they were super great!!
Can’t enough great things about this place. Great, clean, safe space in the shop. Lots of stuff to buy if you forgot anything. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Our kayak tour with Anna was a blast and she did so much to make the experience special. We had a surf lesson with Alex and he also was a joy! Will definitely be back.
Guides Steven & Hans were great! Very attentive, professional, knowledgeable & funny. You will get wet paddling out from the beach. We didn’t get to see the caves as waves got big just as we got to them but had a lot of fun. Went w/a party of 7 so didn’t get the groupon discount. Definitely will go again. Great apparel & you get a discount after the tour. 👍🏼👍🏼
My guided kayak tour of the sea caves in La Jolla was fantastic. We had excellent guides, Trent and Andre. Im an experienced kayaker, but it was my friends first time, and our guides made her feel very safe and secure. We saw so much wildlife! A sea turtle surfaced right next to me three times. We got up and close and personal with an entire family of sea lions basking on the rocks. We saw pelicans, cormorants, and crabs. Trent actually got into the water and hand-pulled our kayaks through the caves. He also helped people get back into their kayaks after we went swimming. Andre was a fantastic sweep, and he made sure the group stayed together and nobody struggled or got too far behind. The day was gorgeous. We kayak surfed back to shore easily. Trent had a lot of knowledge about the area to share, too. All around, a superb experience!
Everyday California went above and beyond our expectations!! We had a very hard morning coming from Riverside as southbound I-15 was shut down. We arrived at the shop after our reserved tour (it took us 4 hours to make the trip which usually only takes 1.5) and after talking with one of the managers they lept into action and provided us with a tour guide that got us out on the water in no time! Thank you so much Ben for your tour! You were amazing!
Incredible tour— thanks Jacob and Danielle! Got to see some dolphins, beautiful waves, and several other unforgettable sights. I’d never kayaked before and felt perfectly safe and comfortable in our big group. Got a little anxious about the snorkeling, but my partner was still excited about partaking while I sat behind watching some sea lions from the kayak. Still really enjoyable and got a lot of support throughout it all :) thanks y’all!
The La Jolla Kayak Cave tour was an adventurous learning experience. Mark and Hans (Mario and Luigi) did a great job teaching the group about the history of La Jolla Shores, the ocean, and the caves. They were a great team and managed everyone very well. Be sure to have questions ready or just converse with your guides for a more enjoyable time. They have great stories to share and can offer some good tips on what to do once your back on land. We were fortunate to have safe enough waters to enter the cavern at the end and that was quite the sight to see. Only regret is not having a safe pouch to store my phone to take photos. Flip the kayak on the way in!
Everyday California is the perfect place to get a sea cave guided tour. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to our tour guides, Trent and Josh. Both of you were so nice and funny and we had such a great time with you. Thank you for making our day so special!
Such an amazing experience! Allison and Trentwere such wonderful guides and people, they made the experience for my family and I so much fun! Allison also helped us out at the shop before we got onto the water and made us feel so comfortable from the get go. Alison had a lot of great information about the area and some very fun ocean facts! All in all Trent and Alison were the best guides we could have asked for! They made us feel safe and comfortable the whole time! Absolutely will be back:)
This was the perfect family activity! Everyone at Everyday California was so nice and friendly and we couldn’t have had a more perfect kayak trip. We learned so much on our tour and got to explore a sea cave! Our tour guides shared so many facts and jokes, and kept us laughing the entire time. We will be coming back here for family days and I highly recommend choosing Everyday California for the best experience. :)
Our group had 4 guides. Hans and Mike. The beach crew did a great job getting us through the surf. Our entire group followed their instructions and the tour went beautifully. Surf was rough at the caves so we didn’t get to go in but no one complained due to the desire for safety. The surf into shore was a blast and the shore crew caught our kayak and finished pushing us in. Great day for 2 seventy year olds!
Trent and Tyler were great guides! It was our first time kayaking and they made us feel completely safe the whole time. We didn’t get to go in the caves which was a bummer, but still great scenery and saw sea lions. We definitely didn’t dress right for the occasion 🤣 I wish I had seen a review that told me this: Bring your own wetsuit or dress in bathing suit and shorts; or spend the extra money to rent their wetsuits! I did get a super cute new outfit from their store out of it but would have been cheaper to rent the suit lol. All in all great time and all the staff there that we interacted with were great (they did try to warn us about our attire but we are hard learners). We will definitely be back!
This place is a must for surf lessons! My son and husband had private lessons and my 12 year old cannot stop talking about how much fun he had. My husband said the surf instructor was very friendly, knowledgeable and just a great person. The store front is very nice and the clothes are great quality and great prices. Please support this business. We are a military family and came to a much needed family vacation and surfing lessons was the number one thing our son wanted to do and so glad he had the opportunity with this establishment. Thank you for the great memories
We did the La Jolla kayaking and cave tour. It was fantastic and our guides Abe and Dylan were amazing keeping everyone in sync, safe and amused at the same time. Saw seals, dolphins and the caves were incredible and clear down to bottom. Finished with a kayak surf back to shore. Highly recommend!
We had the most amazing day kayaking with Everyday California! Our guides, Jon and Josh, were very knowledgeable and encouraging. We felt totally safe participating with our 4 kids, who all enjoyed it so much! We loved the apparel shop and the idea that a percentage of sales is donated towards bettering the oceans. Highly recommend using this company!!
If youre looking for a family adventure that youll laugh about together for the rest of your life, do the cave tour! We had a great time with Joe and Sophia, who patiently herded us beginning kayakers around, kept us safe, and shared interesting tidbits about the sea and surrounding caves. Highly recommended! (Note: Plan to get wet!)
I had an excellent time! Stephen and Ruben were our guides. They were very knowledgeable and shared stories and information about the scenery and animals. You can tell they enjoy their jobs and want everyone to have a good time. We weren’t able to go into the cave due to waves but none the less it was worth it. We were right next to some dolphins, saw sea lions, and plenty of fish and birds. Great time, great deal, beautiful views!!
Had a great kayaking experience with our tour guides Morgan & Nick. We got to see a Leopard Shark and tons of Garibaldi. Did I mention seakelp?... It comes in bunches. Our tour guides were both knowledgeable and fun! Highly recommend them and Everyday CA if youre interested in seeing the La Jolla sea caves.
I had the time of my life on the kayak cave tour!!! We went with Trent, he was our tour guide and he was so sweet and smart. He would give us information about the waters and I actually learned a lot from him during our kayak tour. We also went inside one of the and we saw so many birds, seals, and fish under the water. It was such an amazing experience and all the staff were so sweet. I got stung by a bee on the beach (be careful on that beach apparently there are bees around the area) but the staff at Everyday California was so so sweet, one of the guys was helping me out got me alcohol wipe to clean it off and checked up on me also. They are amazing people and such an amazing business. I would come back again and this time bring my parents and sisters. They also had really cute merch we got couple hats, jackets, and sweaters. I LOVED IT HERE Im already planning another trip to come back!
We did the guided kayak tour and it was sweet! Our guides were great! Morgan and Trent were super knowledgeable! I only gave it 4 stars because I felt like we didn’t get to do a lot of sea kayaking and that’s no ones fault, the water was just very still and I guess we were just looking for something more intense. It was super pretty although I wish we could’ve spent more time in the caves. It’s really worth the price and I would recommend everyone (especially beginner kayakers) to do a tour!!
Awesome team, awesome shop. I’ve been here a few times for surf lessons and every visit has been great. The instructors are amazing—they are all very patient and supportive (and they work their tails off chasing students in the water so be sure to tip them well!!!) Definitely recommend!
Great experience all around! It was our first time ever kayaking in the ocean and I’m glad we picked Everyday California. (There were a couple of other options) Danielle and Ruben (spelling?) were great guides along with the guys on the beach helping us in and out of the kayaks. The guides shared a lot of information about the area which was neat to learn. We saw a sea lion and a couple of dolphins. I was surprised how soaked I got but it is ‘winter season’. I would love to go back during summer when you can see the leopard sharks. Highly recommend AND super cute shop (of course bought some gear after).
Got a Groupon for a 2 person kayak rental which was a great deal for a wonderful experience! Short walk from the store to the beach. The coves and cliffs were gorgeous, and you can get decently close to lots of sea lions on the shore. The staff were all extremely helpful and kind
I typically dont bother with reviews but they deserve it. Tour guides were professional and helpful, ESPECIALLY patient with me since it was my first time and as soon as I entered the water, kayak got flipped. I almost quit before I began but our tour guide assured me he would safely get us out on the water. After that, it was pretty smooth. I would recommend this company, especially if its your first time! He even snapped a pic for us in the cave:)
Today I celebrated my birthday with a guided kayak tour with my family and it was one of thenest experiences of my life! Sam and IG, our tour guides were amazing! They were very knowledgeable not only about kayaking safety rules and guidelines, but also about the dolphins, fish, and birds we saw. We even got to here some history along the tour. When paddle back toward shore, they had everyone sing Happy Birthday! It was a great day and now I love kayaking! I would recommend this for anyone. My 6 and 7 yr old daughters loved every minute.
We did the kayak cave excursion. Our guide was great and we had fun but we were under the impression we were going to explore the caves in our kayaks. Not so. I don’t think they ever take any tours inside the caves. Also the only wildlife we saw was some kelp and a jellyfish. The jelly fish was cool. Anyway I just wanted to make sure that people are aware that the tour takes you by the caves and not into them. A bit underwhelming and not very adventurous.
Some friends and I went on a kayak tour and it was great! Danielle and Reuben did a great job of guiding us n00bs around and showing us a great time on the water. Everything was soaked but the pro shop did warn us of that beforehand. After coming back we shopped in the store and found some cool gear. Well definitely be booking with this company again!
I bought the Groupon for a double kayak tour as a fun anniversary idea, it didn’t disappoint! Trent and Mark our tour guides were helpful and very informative about the area ecosystems. I highly recommend if you are looking for something cool and different to do with your day.
Amazing! My sister and I were 1st timers and the whole process was amazing. Specifically Trish, our guide was so patient and kind to us. She made the whole experience amazing. My sister and I were the slowest out of the group and Trish made it so we received the full experience. She even hooked her kayak up to ours! If you go ask for Trish because she’s just an amazing guide and is so knowledgeable and just a glowing person!
Our family of 4 (kids ages 12 and 14) did the tour with double kayaks this week. We were super lucky to have great weather, and got to go into the cave. The kayaks are fun and easy, its great exercise, but not stressful, and the whole trip is just breathtakingly beautiful. Josh and Lance were terrific guides. Helpful, friendly, upbeat, clearly love their jobs. Its been the highlight of our trip to San Diego. We would definitly do it again!
Had a great kayak tour with Trent as our guide. He was an all-round awesome guy! He provided fun facts of the area, was chill, professional and gave good instructions. Our conditions were pretty rough, but he made sure we had a good time. Ill plan to come back and will request him for sure. As a business, Everyday California is top notch - employees are highly responsive, professional, organized, and provide good quality gear.
Great kayak tour! I did the caves tour with them and it was great. Everyone I interacted with at Everyday CA was super nice, and Danielle was a wonderful guide- super friendly and very knowledgeable. We got to see some wildlife, go into a cave, and enjoy time on the water. I definitely recommend renting the wetsuit (only $10)- that water is chilly! Had a wonderful time and highly recommend!
My daughter and I had a wonderful guided kayak tour with Everyday California. The tour was very affordable and the communication leading up to it was thorough. All of the staff at Everyday California were extremely helpful and friendly. The process involved several steps from checking in and getting fitted with gear to the pre-tour pep talk, tour itself and returning everything. Because the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, this was a very smooth process. Our guides, Grant and IG were very professional, personable and entertaining. IG was quite knowledgeable about the location and the aquatic and other wildlife in the area. I would definitely recommend this tour and will use this company again in the future!
Getting out (and back in) on the waves was intimidating. Following the guides’ instructions to the letter made both the in and out easy, safe and exhilarating.. Driving south 100 miles to meet up at 830 for the 9am tour required an early rise. So worth it! Beautiful day! Joe and Danielle were knowledgeable and great with our multi-generational group.
Stephen was our guide and he did an excellent job. He knew so much about the area and the ecosystems. We learned a lot and had a great time. I had been afraid to take our kayaks into the ocean where we live, but after the excellent instructions from this crew, we feel confident to do so.
I had a great time kayaking in La Jolla with them. All the staff is lovely and welcoming. I came from the East Coast to visit. Danielle and Patrick were the tour guides for our group, they were very helpful and informative. I got a chance to dive in the waters, an experience I will forever carry in my memories. Thanks Everyday California. I recommend this place 10/10. 😊
The most disappointing thing about this tour was watching other kayaks go into the sea cave and our guide choosing not to take us into the caves because she didn’t have a second guide to help. We also spent 15 minutes of our tour waiting for our guide to go get one of the other girls in the group who had drifted too far to shore. I didn’t mind her helping her, but the girl had never kayaked before so if I were the guide I would’ve put her in 2-person boat.
The Kayak Tour at La Jolla was definitely a high point of our stay in San Diego. The trip starts at the beach, goes out over the kelp forest, inside the cave, and ends with a dip in the ocean. We went in august and were able to spot those orange fish, seals and even a pod of dolphins. Our guides, Joe and Liv, were knowledgeable and hilarious. We learned about the animals we saw, the tectonic action that makes La Jolla unique, and why kelp is important in keeping able to breath. The tour was great on its own. Getting to support a company pushing for sustainability and ocean protections makes it even better. Looking forward to booking again.
We worked with IG and Sam was our guide and they all provided a great experience. It was fun, they Sam dropped some knowledge about the area and the wildlife, and it was a decent workout for the day. Loved when returning and catching a nice wave back to the shore and not flipping.Sam did great as a guide!
Kayaking in ocean experience was very different and new. I easily get motion sickness. But Daniels and Josh made this easier for me. They looked out for me to make sure I was ok. I really appreciate their gesture and although there are a lot of kayaking shops, I would highly recommend this place for a great experience.
Our family enjoyed our sea kayaking and snorkeling tour so much! The young people who work here are happy and helpful. We really appreciated their enforcement of mask wearing too. Check-in was a breeze and we were properly fitted with wetsuits and helmets. It was amazing to be out on the ocean and kayaking to the sea cliffs. We saw beautiful fish, leopard sharks, and many sea lions close up. Amazing! We will definitely do this tour again. Would definitely recommend!
Even though the seas were a little choppy, Sam and Danielle did an amazing job, they were attentive and informative! I was worried because everyone else had on wetsuits and we decided to not get them but my group had a great time and didn’t ever feel cold! Will definitely come back again!
Had the absolute best experience with our tour guide Brian on Saturday. My boyfriend was terrified of the ocean but, having such an amazing and kind guide definitely helped him conquer his fear. We learned so much about the caves, kelp Forrest, and secret swings. I highly recommend everyone renting a kayak for a nice & relaxing day out. Brian was the best and We couldn’t be happier with our experience!
Let me make this short and simple. I wanted to do something memorable for the double digit birthday. Total successs. We had so much fun. We surfed waves we seen fish and sea lions up close and personal. Got a tan. And the whole time had amazing guides. STEVEN AND JULIE ARE THE BEST. Steven is my personal favorite because notGoing to lie I was terrified. But he was there the wholeFreaking time cracking jokes. Making sure we were good. Encouraging. Energy levels on high. He helped us through the caves felt very safe. I encourage everyone to do this at least twice lol def willCome backThanks Steven ! your truly the best ! Give this man a raise please and thank you !
BEST PLACE EVER!!! If I could give them more than five stars I’d do it in a heartbeat! The tour was AMAZING. Their customer service was AMAZING. This company was so much fun you felt like you were apart of it the second you walked into the store. We had IG and Parks for our tour and they rocked it! Literally don’t think we could’ve asked for better tour guides!
My wife and I enjoyed our Everyday California day date, kayaking on a beautiful spring day at the end of wintertime in La Jolla. We parked in a nearby neighborhood for easy access, checked in quickly, the polite staff gave us the gear we needed, and we made the short walk down to the beach. The team members there had high-energy, positive attitudes and prepared and pushed us out to sea where we encountered dolphins passing just feet from our kayak, then California sea lions minutes later. We had a great time and well do it again!
I bought the kayak rental for two through Groupon. Well worth the money. We went on a colder day, but still had an amazing time! ( we opted to rent wet suits from the company before our tour- best choice) Our tour guides were Rachael and Reuben. Both awesome people- knowledgeable about the area and respectful of the ocean. Life vests and helmets required and provided with tour purchase. Prepare to get wet! You launch in the waves 🤙🏼
OMG! The day was beautiful, we got into the cave!!! Our instructor were very knowledgeable and fun. Josh and Chris were just excellent tour guides and went above and beyond our expectations. The check-in process was supper easy. Changing into our wet suits was easy. They even let us keep the suits to swim in the water after the tour. The whole process was very organized even though there were 18 people in our group. Definitely recommending this tour to all of my friends. Keep up the good work.
Would have appreciated tour guides to be upfront about the poor conditions and that it wouldn’t be a possibility to really snorkel… instead, it was basically just kayaking, which I can do by myself without paying such a premium price for a tour (that doesn’t even include the wet suit, which is an extra charge). When about to get into the water, in the middle ocean, after our guide tied all kayaks together… since they were all bumping into each other, several people flipped over and lost their gears. It was a bad surprise to be greeted pretty badly when making it back to the store…It is what it is.
Our family of five took the La Jolla Caves 90-minute kayak tour today and we were very pleased with the program. It was well organized; care was given to safety and efficiency and fun!Guides Matt (from Massachusetts) and Jack (definitely a Californian) provided education of the area, the unique aspects of the bay, facts on the ecological features of the sea and specifics on the animals and plants that we saw. A great experience for all! And, the sunset on the sea was breathtaking! I highly recommend this tour.
Kristen was absolutely amazing, she has such a wonderful personality and is absolutely gorgeous and incredibly intelligent and strong. The tour was incredible! We went on a perfect day and were so excited that we got to explore a sea cave! The guided tour is a must for all skill levels.
Great service. The whole experience was very smooth and youre very well informed every step of the way. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.Had a great time kayaking to the the cliffs and nearby caves. The water was cold in February but we ended up not needing a wet suit anyways. We went at 11:30pm when it was sunny and the water was calm. Water was pretty clear so you can see a few fishes at the bottom.Highly recommended!
Got this cool activity on Groupon. Ryan and Jacob were our instructors and they were awesome. It was a fun experience but was a bit bummed I didnt get to see the caves due to low tide. It was anice sunny day I was able to see a sea lion swimming on his belly soaking up some sun. Would go back to see the caves! Also Id like to point out that theres awesome little shops and restaurants for grab a bite right after. Youll be hungry after kayaking.
We had a great experience kayaking. From the tour first moment we got there we had people helping every step of the way from wet suits to wave surfing. Our tour guides, Gerardo and Jaime, were very friendly and knowledgeable making it a memorable experience. They gave clear instructions and helped those who struggled in a very positive way. The kelp tasting was fun and the cave was a cool experience. We would love to do this again when we come back to San Diego. Thanks Everyday California.
I took my 18 year old son and his girlfriend on the Sea Cave Kayak Tour. We were extremely pleased with the entire experience. The guides, Al and Peter, were friendly and knowledgeable. They did a great job getting us all safely on the water, and took time throughout the tour to stop and share facts about the nature around us. Kayaking into the sea cave was definitely worth it and the history they shared about the caves really added to the experience. The equipment was of good quality and in good repair. Id highly recommend them if youd like to get out and see La Jolla Cove.
Had so much fun on the La Jolla kayak tour! Took my dad for his birthday and we had an excellent time! The staff are great - very friendly, informative and helpful. I’m bummed I Cant remember the names of our guides because they were amazing - outgoing, knowledgeable, astute, and very entertaining! Not only did we get to see some awesome sights, we also learned a lot about the area. Would highly recommended!
Such an amazing company to do kayak tours through! Our guides were Kristen & Ryan and they were INCREDIBLE! We did a kayak tour to the sea caves here in La Jolla for my sisters birthday and got 5 star service from beginning to end. The confirmation email you get after booking has all the info you need, so scroll to the bottom and read it!! Make sure you arrive 30 minutes before your tour to check in, get your locker/wet suits and then there is a good 5 minute walk to the beach to meet your guides. When we walked in we were greeted like family and my very reserved parents felt right at home and comfortable to do something totally out of their comfort zone! We are an adult family of 5 and reserved two double kayaks and one single, everything was provided (helmets, paddles, instructions) and there are plenty of staff on the beach to direct and assist you. They help push you out over the waves to get you going and provide plenty of direction, we were even taught how to kayak surf in afterwards! We saw tons of sea lions, fish, cormorants, and the water was so clear and cool to be in! Kristen and Ryan were so knowledgeable and gave us so much fun information while on the water, they knew a lot about the marine life we were surrounded by! They made my sisters birthday so special and our trip as a family truly one we won’t forget.
Our instructor Carson was great... Check in spot is about a 5-10 min walk from the beach where the lesson takes place. We were there before 9am so there was a decent selection of parking closer to the beach... I can imagine it fills up quickly. The kids really enjoyed the lesson but got the shellshock that carrying boards to the water wasnt the resists of tasks lol
I had visited San Diego while on vacation during New Years and attended a kayak your at Everyday California. We had a group of 10 and Kristin was our guide during the trip. We loved Kristin as our guide and would love to experience another time with her. After finishing our tour we drifted on into shore and headed our way back to the shop to change. Unfortunately, during the trip our car key had fallen into the ocean and we were unable to recover the lost merchandise. With it being a rental from the airport our only chance was calling a locksmith to recover our key fob from the vehicle.Locked out, wet and cold we felt helpless. We come from Minnesota where there is a saying called, Minnesota Nice. Fortunately, your employees that day went above and beyond to help us warm our bodies and also ensured us that they wouldnt leave us hanging until we figured out the ordeal. Time was our worst foe given the store was closing at 5 that day. Though it neared closing time, the employees never once rushed our group and even found damaged merchandise to help out some of the ladies who were cold. We want to give your staff that Sunday every last bit of our appreciation for the grace you showed us that day. You dont know what an impact you left in our hearts with the hospitality you showed us. What you displayed to a group of strangers that day exceeded every expectation of customer service. Itll forever reign incomparable to any service weve ever experienced. Thank you Every California for your own edition of, San Diego Nice
What an amazing experience! We did the sea kayak tour and it was definitely a highlight of our vacation. Staff was super friendly, guides were really knowledgeable and made us all feel capable and safe. We were lucky to have amazing weather and were able to go in the cave. Along the way we saw a sea turtle, dolphins, sea lions, and even a leopard shark as we headed into shore. Loved every minute of it!
Worthwhile trip 👌🏻. TIPS: 1. Check GroupOn for their deals. 2. After your guided tour, you are eligible for 50% OFF for most rental gears as told by one of the staff. We took the Kayak and Snorkel tour. Our tour guides, Tony and Kristin were really cool with giving us info here and there. They took us to a spot which has corals (although dead, but still beautiful - had fall like colors), fishes, amazingly clear water and a cave. Their laid back attitude helped us enjoy the experience more. Overall, an amazing time it was!
Went on the Kayak tour with Nate and Gerardo yesterday and had an outstanding time! They did a great job of explaining all the parts of the reserve, pointing out cool things to see, and they made sure we had a great time. Awesome guides, definitely did a 5-star job!The whole staff was also really friendly and did a great job for us getting us all setup. Easily our favorite part of our vacation so far. Would highly recommend this company to anyone!
Went I on a date with my husband and it was by far the funnest date we have had! Kristin was our tour guide and she was phenomenal. She knows the area like the back of her hand and gave a wonderful and interesting history lesson. It made the kayak tour that much more fun! When the tour was over we were actually little sad the the fun had come to an end. I recommend using Everyday California for all your water need in La Jolla! You won’t be a bit. Disappointed!
Did the kayak tour with Mike and had an awesome time! Hes super knowledgeable about the area and has a great personality. If youre thinking about doing a kayak tour in La Jolla this is the one to do! We had such a great time we signed up for a surf lesson with Nathaniel the next day. Great lesson for beginners. Highly recommend.
Lockers are a must if you travel without a car, only one bathroom inside, very young but friendly employees, not very useful in providing customer service. Had a bad experience booking their guided tour through Expedia, but fixing the issue directly with the company was even worse. Dont buy their tours on Expedia, book directly. otherwise youre better off getting there in person and just rent a kayak or paddle board.
Ray was a fantastic and funny tour guide. We really enjoyed our tour to the La Jolla Caves. The one downside was the waves were really rough the day we went so I got seasick. Luckily, Ray was well prepared and had a ginger chew for me. I would definitely recommend this company, and I would go again (perhaps on a calmer day).
This was a lot of fun and so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They helped us with all of our questions and concerns before the tour even started. And our guide Christine was friendly and knowledge. We had an added bonus of seeing some dolphins as we were paddling back to shore.

2022-06-20Did the kayak out to the caves. The guides I had did a great job getting everyone safely out and back as well as providing insights throughout the day. Especially impressive as my one guide was on her first day at the job.

2021-09-07The kayaking tour was one of the highlights of our trip thanks to Anna and Mark. They were professional, friendly and fun. We even saw a group of dolphins that swam right up to our kayaks! Highly recommend this tour company! Anna was even nice enough to take our picture when we didn’t bring our phones.

2021-09-24This was my first open sea kayaking and it was super fun, and bit tiring haha.My group had great tour guides, shoutout to Nora and Joe. They were super knowledgable about the area and engaging throughout the whole tour. 2 hours went by so quick with them!I booked through Airbnb so do note that you have to pay the tax in person, as I totally missed that part in the terms & condition. Though I would appreciate if it is included in the message ahead of the time. Also, PROTECT YOUR GLASSES/SHADES. I didnt get any strap and dropped my expensive shades last minute :/ Another tip is to wash off the sand by the beach as theres no shower in the store.Overall, amazing experience and highly recommend.

2021-08-11The best part of our trip!!! My son had a great time and able to surf after his first lesson. Carson was a great instructor, very informative and easy to talk to. Thank you all for the La Jolla experience.

2022-01-24We booked the La Jolla Sea Cave tour. It was a nice experience, but not quite what we expected. I expected to explore inside the caves -- thats not how it is done. We launched our kayaks from the beach and paddled a bit in the direction of the caves. The guides then stop and point out the caves from a distance, along with sea life they spot in the moment. Then you arrive at one cave (Emerald Cave) and a guide (swimming) takes the kayaks one at a time into the cave for about 3 minutes. So, a good bit of time is spent sitting in one spot waiting for the others in your group to go in. I think we had 12-15 kayaks in our group. (We also had to sit and wait while a group from another company did the same; we waited for them to go in/out before our group started.) Once everyone has been in the cave, you turn around and paddle back. The entire excursion you can see the point you put in on the beach, so you are not going that far. Again, we enjoyed it, but it was less of an adventure than we expected. It was more paddle out, wait, 3 minutes in a cave, paddle back. I wish I had known that ahead of time--perhaps I should have asked more questions.

2021-11-08Had a lot of fun on the 90 minute La Jolla kayak tour. We went into one of the sea caves and saw sea lions. Energetic and motivated guides Anna and Daniel. I hope they win employee of the month!

2022-06-26Absolutely an amazing time. Steven and Bailey were great tour guides and very helpful with everyone on the tour. No matter how young or old you are, would absolutely enjoy this. Its a great exercise / tourist activity. That gets you to interact with the marine life all around la Jolla. Got to see sea lions, dolphins, and the California state orange fish amongst other big fish. Our tour guides gave a lot of information about the marine life that we were snorkeling around . Overall 10 out of 10 would recommend to everyone.

2022-03-07We had an AMAZING time! The waves were a little extreme and the guides made it an incredible experience despite the additional challenge. Loved learning about the eco system and different wild life. Anna and the other guide were very informative and helpful. The husband and I couldn’t swing a double kayak and they didn’t make us feel bad for wiping out in the beginning at all. Great experience, highly recommend. Thank you!Rent the wetsuit and secure your sunglasses. 100% worth the money.
