An infuriating and disappointing chapter of an otherwise amazing road trip through Southern Utah. My advice: dont waste your time renting from Enterprise, Alamo, National, etc. (especially the SD Airport branch). When I first arrived at the agency, I was told there were no RAV4-like vehicles available (what I had reserved) and was given a large SUV.Id not even driven it past San Onofre when the first of many TPMS lights turns on. I put air in the tires and wait for the light to turn off. After a few cycles of this, I discovered what the issue was when my right rear tire blew up (literally blew up - see pics) on the freeway, taking the entire wheel housing and much of the bumper with it - a terrifying experience for me and my 3 passengers. The manager, Robert Perris, informs me that the tires had been inspected prior to my driving the vehicle and (get this), he has personally reviewed the tapes of the inspection. What is this, the NFL? Whether you reviewed tapes or not or whether your employees gave the tires a satisfactory rating is of no concern to me. Here are the facts:After immediately calling Alamo Roadside Assistance and being put on hold for over 45 minutes, a helpful motorist stopped to assist us with the tire change, however when we opened the spare tire housing, there was no spare. Now, the manager assures me that some models of vehicles do not come with a spare. I hope for all future renters sake that this last bit is not true. But whether your employees forgot the spare or it just didnt come with one, well, frankly, Im not sure which is worse.I finally called AAA to tow us to the nearest town (after an hour in the blazing sun), and when we pulled into the Chevron, the head repairman told me that both rear tires were at dangerously low tread. I was not taking this vehicle off-roading. In fact, I was strictly freeway for 99% of my trip thus far, however Manager Robert Perris insists that somewhere between his employees inspecting the tires and the tire blowing, I am at fault for the dangerously low tread.I was assured on the phone with customer service that I would be reimbursed for the tow and twin tire replacement (a total of $481.72 out of pocket) and so I signed off on having the work done. Of course, when I arrived to drop off the car, the office informed me they possessed no notes from customer service in this regard. (This ones on me, yall. ALWAYS get it in writing.)Knowing that Id be driving back through 116-degree LV desert and, oh yeah, now the coolant level is suddenly empty, I decided to exchange the car. Of course the nearest location had 0 SUVs, so I settled for a minivan.I expected to be reimbursed immediately for my expenses and to be refunded for the rental fee. Instead, I was greeted with a difficult employee who told me he would deduct the cost of the tires/tow from my total (~15% discount). When I told him that was unacceptable, he told me there was nothing he could do, but that I could call the Manager, Robert Perris, who would have the authority to reimburse me by check or cash. I did just that, and after dealing with looping customer service dialogue options, I decided to return in person.Robert told me that he did not have the authority to help me any further and that he would speak to his Area Manager ASAP to see what else we can do. I guess that turned about to be nothing, because today he called me and told me that Im responsible for the damage to the car. Then he accused me of over-inflating the tires, which was the only reason he could think they would have blown. If that were the case, then why did your TPMS light come on before I even touched the tires? And why did the Chevron repairman tell me both rear tires had dangerously low tread? Also, Im not an idiot. Such accusations astounded me beyond belief and, after realizing that he was playing the offensive to save his hide from his own management, I settled for writing this brief literature and taking my lumps. Queue Customer Service is of utmost importance... saving-face response by management.
Had a great experience renting with Enterprise at the San Diego Airport location. Esteban, the team member worked with was very polite, positive and professional. Esteban quickly figured out what our rental priorities were and gave us vehicle choices that met our needs. He also explained the upgrade specials and the insurance policy. We usually never take rental car insurance since we are covered under our personal car insurance. However, the way Esteban explained it made sense and we took it and have no regrets. Thank you Esteban for the exceptional customer service. We really enjoyed all the driving around we did thanks to you.A shout out to Rose as well, who made time to share a smile and cheer us on as she checked the car out when we were leaving the Enterprise parking lot.We will definitely be renting from here again!
I missed my familys funeral because they wouldnt rent car with out credit card. I have rented before from other locations but they said it was different at the airport. There was not adequate communication regarding this requirement. Breanna, the store manager, was indifferent to my situation and I left crying.
Needed big vehicle for the MCRD graduation to fit us all and the bags our sin brought home. This was such a treat! The customer service and ease of getting and returning the Expedition was outstanding. Have used other rental places in the past and Enterprise has always far surpassed the others. Returned the vehicle 4 hours early and received money back on the rental saving me almost $300. Totally recommend this business!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Supervisor Natalie didnt do a good job managing loyal long term platinum member who also has a business account and has been renting car the whole year and changing vehicle every 2 weeks. McKenna was the one who assisted me horrible customer service skills didnt even walk to check if the car had gas or marks. I feel this area has been horrible handling me and will lose a valuable customer. Enterprise needs to step it up and have a discussion with this site about loyal business accounts who rents with them so much. Branch manager also just brushed me off and will better service next time I come to this location or Im taking my accounts somewhere else.
This branch at the end of our trip was killer. James was awesome and helped us make right what the Mckinleyville airport branch messed up. Even though our trip was compromised and three of our members had to fly because of the original mistake, James’ actions and attitude upon our arrival ensured we will continue to rent with enterprise.
Hassle-free car rental located within the San Diego Airport Car Rental Center. They have an Exotic Car section featuring Porsches, Lamborghinis, Mercedes, etc. We did not use that section because Im sure they cost plenty money, but if you just wanted to rent one for a day. . . :)For some reason, Entrprise was less expensive than National or Alamo this trip.
Just because you cannot put a 0 star. To start off with, one of the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. Not helpful is the key word here. They made a mistake with a maintenance issue and instead of the convenience of replacement so our vacation continues, they asked us to go to Firestone ourselves, and asked us to try two separate locations ( without internally verifying if they have exchange of cars ). We spent 3 hours trying to get a car, which we ultimately never got!!Horrible center, would not recommend to rent a car. The manager is the worst if all. She truly did not car if we could get a car or a convenience issue. No interest in even if a customer gets a car, or even the courtesy of understanding. Also young gals, who really aren’t old enough to understand real life situations ( with kids!)Horrible, I would rather pay double then deal with the girls who work in this location and the lack of knowledge the entire San Diego enterprise staff has shown.
If I could give ZERO STARS I would Ive been using enterprise for many years , this location dropped the ball I mean LITERALLY DROPPED THE BALL, Im a travel nurse and I work 6 days a week 10 hours a day my time is very precious so I returned my car to this location for a look over and rewrite 4 days before it was due for return, keep in mind this is a airport location and you can only exit though an attendant that check your paperwork before you can leave, a few days later I received a text message from an enterprise REP stating that I was late for my rewrite...WAIT. WHAT?, HOW? i already returned the vehicle for a rewrite I asked her to check her records again because thats false she returned stating that she has no record of me returning the vehicle so needless to say I returned the car AGAIN for the second time and the manager gave me 100 extra off but the issue is now this location charged me over double what I initially paid for the car with all the fees I went from 1500 to 3200 for one month WOW what a difference. Well I returned the car after I rented it for 58 days I still had 35 days left in my assignment I rented from another place which was only 1400 with insurance for a really really nice car I love it. BUT WAIT was waiting for my deposit after 12 days I called Enterprise they stated that BECAUSE I...LET ME REPEAT I WAS LATE REUTURNING THE CAR FOR REWRITE THAT THEY USED IT TOWARDS THE DAYS I WAS LATE LOL WHAT A JOKE NO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR THEIR ERROR I STILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM DROPPING THE BALL IN THE END. AT THE END OF THE DAY I COULDVE BOUGHT A USED CAR FOR THESE PRICES. ILL BE SURE TO LET MY FELLOW COLLEGES KNOW ABOUT MY EXPERIANCE WITH ENTERPRISE. Dont think think Ill be renting from Enterprise again.
I had a great experience at this location every time I travel to San Diego, CA they have always been great. This last weekend I was coming in to San Diego for my fathers funeral and arrived really late in the evening. Unfortunately the original vehicle I had reserved was not available. Employee Aliyah was great she already had a few back up vehicles due to the even upgraded us and let us choose from a few different vehicles. She was very apologetic for not having us a sport car made us feel she was truly sympathetic to the inconvenience of not having the original car we wanted. A five star employee in my book
My experience Sucked! Rented the car. When returning the car, I left a nice Cooler on the back seat full with food and beverages. Dropped the car off and as soon as I arrived home I noticed I didn’t have it. Called immediately. They claim they never saw it. I went to the airport the next morning to look for the cooler and they said there wasn’t a cooler in the lost and found. The car was re-rented right after I dropped it off. They said someone went through that car quickly, and re-rented. I asked them to check the kiosk where the individuals work on the returned cars and they said there was nothing there. I have written to ENTERPRISE several times! Never a response. Called a national corporate number and the lady said “That’s too bad! You can’t even speak to someone without being on hold for an hour or more. CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT EXIST HERE!!!
Worst customer service. Havent experienced such horrendous encounter with another human in the service business. Their manager is worst of all, she does not understand the dilemma of traveling hundreds of miles away with their trusted vehicle with a 2-year-old In the backseat and all of a sudden their vehicle starts flashing warning lights. Not courteous enough to offer an equivalent exchange or offer any sort of repair. Instead asking me to downgrade to a smaller car without being considerate of the luggage and equipments you travel with with a 2-year-old.
I truly cant describe the unprofessionalism from LAYLA & LAUREN. I had made a call with enterprise regarding the safety from the vehicle i had rented at a different location. I was currently driving and that location was the nearest one so I decided to call and make another reservation, unfortunately as soon as I arrive they didnt want to help me! When I had already spoken to one of them and they had said yes that they had many cars available, as soon as I told them that my Insurance was paying they immediately said they couldnt help me and to take the car to the other branch where I had picked it up. Theirs many more details but Im trying to keep it short.Enterprise I would definitely revaluate their professionalism representing your company!!!Any details pls feel free to reach out to formally submit a complaint in letting me drive a vehicle that was malfunctioning and put me and my family at risk!
Arrived with my family to pick up our rental car and everything was different than you is different than usual, They now want to know where youre going with their car which is OK but still a bit weird. Then when we got the car, A driver pulled up with the car and he hopped out and handed the lady helping us the key and he took off . We did the usual walk around and then when I started to load the kids in the car in their car seats the car started rolling away. Is while I was half in it. I ended up having to drag my feet on the ground to stop the car from rolling, I ended up pulling muscles in my legs and back. I got out and realized the person delivering the car left the car in neutral. I then made my complaint to the employee there, they apologized and said someone would be reaching out to me. I did not hear anything from them. when I delivered the car I asked again if someone would be reaching out to me about this issue they said someone will be reaching out in the next 24 to 48 hours that has been a week ago no one has called.
I have a future reservation for next week and have been unable to get a hold of anybody at the branch location. I rent with Enterprise frequently and normally the phone will ring long enough to go to the automated system until somebody picks up but thats not the case at this location.
We reserved a car for the long weekend and as expected the size we were looking for were all gone. Our rep was Mike (really hoping I am not using the wrong name) and he was super nice and helpful. He gave us and upgrade with a tiny increase in the price. He was very helpful and friendly and we had a great experience working with him !Good enterprise location for sure..the shuttle to the airport takes just 10 minutes approximately
When I arrived at the San Diego Airport Enterprise, there was an extremely long line and only one employee checking people in. ALL of the self check in kiosks were out of order. After I finally got checked in, I took the escalator up to the second floor to get my SUV. The vehicle assigned to me had heavy damage (it looked as though it had been “keyed” on both sides) but I was told that there were no other options. I asked for a printed receipt (I like having something physical not just email), and the employee gave me a loud sigh/eye roll and told me that I’d have to wait. I waited for over 45 minutes before I finally got hot/tired/angry and told them to just forget it. When I returned the vehicle, I returned it with a full tank, but still got a fuel charge on my bill. This would have NEVER happened when Jack or Andy Taylor were running the company. Back then, Enterprise was the gold standard. After this experience, this formally loyal customer will now look elsewhere. I have a reservation for an Enterprise car for my upcoming trip to Ireland, and will now spend today looking at other options. My suggestion? Avoid Enterprise, National, and Alamo (all owned by Enterprise) at the San Diego Airport! You’d be better off walking!!!
I would have given a 5 star review if it weren’t for 1 annoyance. The check in and check our process was extremely easy, quick and sanitary. My annoyance was the person who brought us to the car had zero personality, and NO knowledge about the car hatchback and how it opens. He actually told me 3rimes that it was broken and I needed to put our suitcases in through the backseat. It was a brand new car! I had to walk back to the front to ask someone else who was very nice and apologetic. He Immediately walked us over to the car and showed us where the button was to open the hatch back.I would recommend Enterprise as I have been renting from them for years and have always had excellent service.
Booking, pick-up and the overall experience with the vehicle was outstanding. The personnel were professional, polite and very helpful. When picking up the car I was asked if I would return it with the gas tank full or if I wanted to return it empty, I answered that it would be full. Prior to dropping off the vehicle I completely topped off the tank. When I returned the car I was asked by the attendant if I needed a printed receipt or if i would be satisfied with one to be emailed to my address on file. I was happy to save the paper and accept an emailed receipt. A couple of days after returning home I reviewed the receipt and found a charge for $10.58 for gasoline. I contacted the company and was told that they use a formula to determine how much to charge for gas; but had the employee started the car they would have seen that the tank was already full. The customer service agent I spoke with on the phone was happy to refund the gas charge. I dont know how often this happens but will ensure that in the future, I receive a printed receipt and carefully review it before departing.
Worst irresponsible customer service ever!!! I was refused a car with the use of a debit card even though I had called and spoke to someone about it and received an email confirmation afterwards with my reservation. I was willing to pay a huge deposit and had thousands of dollars in my checking account which I showed them from my email and I only needed a car for half the day locally. Some rule about because my drivers license was from San Diego California but I didnt even live in the state anymore. But that was never told to me over the phone or email even though they were aware of it.So after I unnecessarily paid for an Uber from the Tijuana cbx bridge and Im a pain disabled 67 year old woman with three suitcases, they said no and offered no physical help, suggestions or apologies and just left me stranded dragging my bags around a huge garage desperately trying to find another place because I had medical appointments and one afternoon to do important errands before catching my outbound flight.I was in tears by then but even the manager didnt care who was a young woman, and my entire day could have been ruined and I might have had to sit in the airport for 12 hours. This was also during the pandemic when not many restaurants were available.I found Payless Rental who hooked me up in 5 minutes and were very kind and understanding. I even got a better car for the same price so needless to say I will never use Enterprise again and I have frequently in the past when I had credit cards. This issue may not apply to you but if this is their general philosophy and attitude toward customer service, especially with older people with special needs, that will carry over into other areas.
I love enterprise. As always I made reservations ahead of time. The process was so simple and confident which is a huge plus when on a stressful trip. From the start our rep at the counter as friendly and efficent..even pulled up info for me on how far I was traveling while I was finishing my check in process. We then went to pick a car..again top notch quality and attention. The whole process took under 30 minutes and we were on the road! Thank you to enterprise and the amazing staff!
Very smooth and easy pick up, gave us our choice of three cars in the class we paid for. Employees went over the car with us beforehand, allowing us the chance to point out any damage before our trip.Drop off at the San Diego rental car center was very well marked and simple. Drop off at enterprise went perfectly smooth.
I rent from Enterprise 2-3 times a month and have done so for about 10 years. I simply could not be happier, the staff are always great, attentive, and helpful. Cars are nearly always clean and work well. I never even consider using another agency unless Enterprise isnt an option in that location.Im very loyal and with good reason.
What a policy: nonresidents can use debit cards but residents cannot. I will NEVER use this company for rentals again. If you don’t want debit cards then don’t allow anyone to use them, but don’t have a two tiered system where you treat people differently based on where they live! Plus, they had the worst customer service at both face to face and over the phone with zero answers or helpfulness. They didn’t even understand the company policy that makes no sense; so I guess I can relate to that.Thank you for your response Enterprise, but you are aware of the policy, it’s not unique to me based on previous reviews stating the same issue.
This one star review is only for my last experience. Prior to this trip we have always had great experiences with Enterprise. Im not sure where this went wrong, but I am so disappointed in Enterprise. They didnt have the rental size we requested, gave us a smaller vehicle that didnt fit everything and everyone and wound up charging us more- even after customer service said that they would adjust the charges. That never happened. So I wound up paying double for a vehicle that was too small for our needs. We had to travel with luggage ontop of children. one child had to sit on my friends lap. Totally unsafe. in the meantime, during our trip I had to do the leg work to find the vehicle that was the size I needed. No one had anything available- the entire week. San Diego airport did not answer their phones. It was horrible, and on more than one occasion I got rude customer service reps. 2 of the reps were nice and helpful, and tried to get our price adjusted but was unsuccessfulUpdate: even though they replied right away to this review, they did not contact me even after sending the email with my contact info as requested. They just responded here so it looks like they are on it. That is not actually the case. I will update if they ever contact me back.
Horrible customer service. Was asked to put a credit card on file which was fine chip wasnt reading so rep tried it twice and without any hesitation wanted to void the contract rather than trying to find another solution. Apparently they cannot manually enter credit card number which I never heard of. What a waste of time.
Excellent Enterprise rental experience as usual. The counter staff was efficient and helpful. Alex at the reception lot was prompt and very knowledgeable about his inventory. I rented a Jaguar SUV with a ton of technology and infotainment. Alex took an additional few minutes to show me the ins and out of the vehicles features. Upon returning the vehicle it was straight forward as well. Marco was quick to notice I returned the vehicle early and promptly pro-rated the rental rate, then emailed me the updated receipt. Thanks Enterprise!
My experience was great with the Enterprise at the San Diego airport. I got there at 11:45 PM. My rep was Kyle and he was awesome! Very professional and courteous. I had chosen to pick up a VW Jetta but since they didnt have one they upgraded me to a Hyundai Kona SUV for free. I will definitely always prefer Enterprise over other car rentals.
I had some issues and misfortunes happen to me during my time renting from enterprise but they were very helpful and responsive in helping me get back on the road. However, my first car, a Nissan Sentra, was not up to the standard I thought I had paid for and the interior windshield was difficult to see through and very dirty from the previous renter who had been smoking in the car which also left the car smelling awful. The second car that was rented to me was a much cleaner and capable Toyota Camry and that left me happy with my renting experience.
Enterprise Renta-A-Car San Diego Airport — I have been renting cars here for almost 14 years now, 3-4 times a year and it has been consistently a great experience every time! Three times in that period I had to use a different company because the rates were lower and I couldnt use great customer service to justify my own choice, but those experiences convinced me to argue harder for Enterprise. And over time the accumulated points give me savings in free rental days. I like that Enterprise greets me in the car area and escorts me to my choices, walks around the car with me to check for damage and assists me in finding the location of wipers, lights, gas compartment lock, etc.Over the years, Ive had a couple of instances where I needed to exchange the car over a strange noise, and a swap was made quickly with them bringing me the new car. Returns are always quick and easy too, Im on my way in less than 3 minutes.I have used Enterprise in other cities too and always found the same great personalized service. Yes, this is a real endorsement by a very satisfied customer!
My whole experience from check in to check out was great. I was very happy with the price of the rental, the courteous staff, and the car was clean and performed like new! Ive always had great experiences renting from Enterprise and will definitely rent from them again.
Friendly and competent staff (Audrey) was waiting for me upon arrival and at the San Diego Enterprise location and showed me to a really nice vehicle that was clean and ready for me to be out of the rental location within 5 minutes of arriving. An enjoyable experience. Returning it was even easier, and my invoice receipt was already on my e-mail by the time the shuttle arrived at the terminal.
-10000/10. Would not recommend. My husband and I left money and a picture in the glove box and immediately went back to get it. We knew 100% for a FACT we left it there. They said nothing was found, wouldn’t let us check for ourselves. These people are thieves. They say they have cameras, so let me check then because we know for a fact if they checked the whole car after like they say they did, they would have found or stuff. So beyond disappointed with this company & we WILL be putting up a fight with them.
The manager Jonathan was AMAZING ! He definitely helped me in every way possible. His Professionalism & level of customer service was ON POINT. Most importantly he has COMPASSION. Which we don’t usually experience.... I would rent from him all the time!I love Enterprise!!! Always have
I had a small issue with the rental car. A warning associated with the tire pressure kept coming up. I tried to reach your customer service on Friday. Never could get through. Tried again on Saturday and finally was able to get a human on the line. I told them the issue and the agent told me to not worry about it. When I asked if it was possible to trade vehicles he said, We are sold out. Nothing is available. He was very hard to understand on the phone as well. Overall not the best experience. TGR
I have been a long-time customer in multiple cities at Enterprise Rent-a-Car because the convenience, customer service, vehicle assortment and quality were always outstanding. Renting at the San Diego, CA airport permanently sealed the deal. This location was just exceptional in the process, price, selection, speed and customer service they provided. Dont know who manages that location, but thank you! Really an outstanding experience
The service center was great...however when the gentleman that assigned me to this car he just did a quit walk-around of the car. He seem to be in a big hurry to finish-up with me. I was wondering why all the windows was roll-down and when I left the gate, I had roll up all these windows. After doing this, a huge bad odor had hit me. I would had turned back around to take it back, but had a very important business meeting to get to. After my schedule business meeting was over, I had walk back out to the car. When I had open the doors up, the smell was overcoming in it. I also notice that the interior was not clean at all. With this Covid-19 pandemic going on, you would think that the first thing should be done when a car is returned...get it clean and sanitize inside out. It has a sign in the car that says NO SMOKING. But yet, Enterprise does not care about the other customer that checks it back out. Someday in the near future this will become a liability issue for Enterprise. I have been a huge Enterprise customer for many years, but now will rethink my options.
The Audi Quatro 5 was spotless, staff was very busy at pick-up time, but very accommodating, the 2 time extensions went off without an issue with corporate representatives contacted, return @ 5 AM was fast, efficient, and staff was excellent again. At the San Diego Airport, the rental car buses, wait times, hauling luggage, and long walks with luggage for my wife & I was a death march....and not pleasant.Overall, our Enterprise experience was Outstanding....because of the vehicle quality and staff.Thank you.
While I’m overall pleased with my Enterprise experience I have to express my disappointment too. I rented a luxury class SUV (Cadillac Escalade) for my family vacation. When I arrived at the counter the young man working there, looked at me from head to toe. He most have decided I can’t afford to rent this class of vehicle. He asked me a series of questions which were unnecessary and boarder line unprofessional. I rent vehicles 10-14 per year. My employer actually has a contract with Enterprise. I’m familiar with what is normally asked and what is not. I patiently answered the questions to expedite my rental process. (Wanted to start my vacation!!) I called and complained later. Don’t judge a book by its cover!!!
I recently rented a SUV from Enterprise while visiting in San Diego. I must say that the process was extremely pleasant. They upgraded me at no cost to a full sized Chevy Tahoe. The service was great and dropping it back off was simple and easy. I would highly recommend Enterprise Rentals to anyone.
Five star service! The representatives are always friendly and knowledgeable. It’s super easy to pick up a reservation, and it’s always ready to go. It’s also a super quick drop off. Vehicles are almost always brand new, clean and comfortable. Completely satisfied with them and I highly recommend.
Overall it was a good experience. Got off to a bit of a rocky start with all the add on sales we were presented with upon pick up of the car but after politely refusing all of them we were on our way. Upon pulling out of the dark parking garage into the sunlight we discovered the windshield was dirty with water spots and we had to use the wipers to clear away the film so we could see. After that it was clear sailing, the car ran well, everything else was clean and we had a great time driving all of 221 miles over our 5 day excursion. The drop off of the car was a piece of cake, drive in, unload and off we went on a shuttle to the airport terminal. We are planning many more trips in that direction and will be utilizing Enterprise for every trip!
San Diego Ca. Airport Enterprise. The quality of guest services from this location is genuinely 5 stars. We arrived in Sandiego on the weekend, where one can expect delays on a busy day. We had to take the shuttle to enterprise, so we stood in line like everyone else to hitch ride to the rental location. We were the last in line to get on the shuttle when we were rudely cut off by the driver. He said, You will have to catch the bus behind you. Not even a sorry and very sarcastic, said this is San Diego, not the east coast! Not sure what that meant? Almost waited for him to throw up some signs. Lol... So we turned around and headed to the shuttle pulling up and the folks in front of the line said the line starts back there. Not to judge but she made me think she was not use to the diverse state of California. The second shuttle driver caught this and quickly put an end to the situation. He mentioned out loud, I got you and I can see that from the expressionon their faces that they were in for a rude awaking. Then the whole way there I sat right across from them which I can see them staring me down. Or which, I want to believe, they liked what I was wearing from head to toe! Ill go with this! Its tough enough dealing with the pandemic, people in general should look out for one another. To make things worse, the SUV we reserved was not ready. But the team did everything to accommodate us. So we patiently waited for our Rental and didnt mind because of their kindness. Once ready for us they gave us a credit for one day which was unexpected. Much appreciated team Eneterprise. We had the Luxury 8 passenger vehicle for 4 days which was awesome to have our family all together in one vehicle. When my relatives left to head back to the Bay, we exchanged our SUV for a smaller vehicle which went like clock work! We exchanged our 8 passenger vehicle for a smaller luxury SUV and drove off happy. The manager remembered us and told us that a tank of gas was on them! Wow, another awesome experience. As a consultant of a large name brand company and who understands the challenges of customer service, team SD Enterprise really impressed us! The team at Enterprise gave us confidence that there are nice people out there. They treated us with respect and courtesy. The whole experience with them is 5 Stars. Good job SD ENTERPRISE. I have nothing but praise for their professionalism. We look forward to our next rental with your location. Thank you!
Super easy to get to. Arrive, come down to baggage claim, cross the street and board the shuttle to car rentals. Get off on ONE stop where EVERY car rental company is under ONE roof and pretty cool, car-art decor is by escalators. Staff at enterprise is always super friendly, which is why I only use them. Car was super clean and easy to drive. Great experience all around.
The worst car rental experience possible. When I picked up my car we barely did a walk around and I noticed damage. When I spoke to the attendant she said it would not be an issue because of the size of the damage. After a dropped it off I received an email saying there was damage. I was told to call the original enterprise at the San Diego Airport, but when I did they said the claim was too far in the process even though it was within 48 hours of dropping it off and being notified. They claimed I must now deal with the Damage Recovery Unit. About a month later I am still dealing with the issue and now the Damage Recovery Unit is refusing to work in a timely manner with getting documentation to my insurance to cover the claim. Save yourself the hassle and go with Hertz. I know I wont make this mistake again.
It really was a better car rental experience. First, the car was a 2019 with push button starting, a Nissan Altima- not an old car. secondly, the rate of $340 fro 12 days ( including a drop-off in another city) was extremely reasonable. I was greeted with a smile at the counter- referred upstairs to a woman who had all my information and explained some of the features of the car and did not endlessly try to upsell me on other features and lastly the woman at the gate asked me if I was satisfied with my experience. Upon returning the car, I was offered a wheelchair (I injured myself during the trip) and was wheeled to the shuttle. it really was a better experience
I felt so disrespect. It was one of the worst experiences Ive had renting a car. I was asked where was I going what area did I plan to stay in. Excuse me I am paying my money for unlimited miles Ill go where I want. I really wish I could remember the agents name at the San Diego Airport. He questioned me like the FBI or as if I was renting his personal car. The worst part there was a white couple before me and he never asked them those questions. I brought that to his attention and he gave me some lame excuse said he did but he didnt . Just rude and disrespectful very disappointed
The check-in process with Enterprise is annoying. Once we got to the garage, we had to wait, for what seemed to be a long time. During that time we had 2 different people come tell us that someone else would be along shortly to help. What were they doing? Then you have to deal with all the up-sell questions and the walk around. It all takes way too much time. I much prefer either Avis or National where you show up, get in your car and drive out. I will avoid Enterprise at all cost in the future.
For the past 2 years I used a variety of discount car rentals. When all isconsidered, you save no money with these discounters. I have now used Enterprise 4 times and each time the serviece is great, the prices are very competitive, good locations, clean cars - I give them a strong thumbs up!
Decided to book a last minute trip to San Diego for my birthday. Didnt want to spend it in Phoenix as it was forecast to be 114. Went thru USAA to reach Enterprise portal. Reserving was easy and once at the airport I asked to upgrade to a Tahoe. No problem and I was shortly on my way. Great experience and great price.
My first time renting a car and I was alone. They made it super easy and fast to get the car and return it! They also send you an email with detailed instructions on how to get to their car rental place and what to do when you pick up and return the car.Highly recommend.
I had planned to make a reservation at the counter and when I got to the counter the gentleman told me that the line was too long and he didnt have time. He then told me to hop in the Alamo car rental line. I refused and ended up having to open my laptop, book online through my concierge service, wait 20 minutes for processing, and then go back to the end of the line at Enterprise to get service. Having been in customer service for 6 years at a former job, I was a little in shock as to how they dealt with me.
I arrived at San Diego on a Friday evening around 8 pm. The shuttle to the Enterprise dropped me off. I went into the building to check in. The line was to the door! And only one person working the counter! I tried to do the kiosk checkin but it would not accept my drivers license. So back in the line I went. 45 minutes i stood in line. I then went upstairs to get my car. I told Frank what had happened. He was great, and he apologized. He made me feel better. It was a long day...
I rented out at SAN airport, even though i had a free upgrade, I was not allowed to upgrade, they did not have good selection had only Nissan Sentras. I was planning to get a good one as I was driving to LA from San Diego. I have been a Enterprise member for a while. Nissan Sentra was OK. Frank the agent was very particular to give me a clean non-smoking vehicle. Hope they provide a good one on my next trip out there
I rented my car from the San Diego airport. There was one person behind the counter, and at least 12 people in queue. In addition, all of there kiosks were broken. I waited at least 30 minutes to get my vehicle. When I went upstairs to get my vehicle there were a lot of idle Enterprise employees. What struck me the most was the number of customers at Alamo that were served by at least 4 employees at the counters. All of there kiosks were working. Next time I will go to Alamo!
Rental cars at San Diego airport smelled like marijuana. First one was bad. Switched to different car and it also smelled, but not as bad. Kept windows down for 2 days and finally got rid of the smell. Unfortunately, that will likely be a problem with any rental car is the state of CA. If Enterprise charges a cleaning fee, they should treat the cars.
My biggest issue with Enterprise is that their agents dont know anything much about the cars they rent. We prefer to have a car that has Apple CarPlay. It seems every time we rent, we are jumping in and out of 3 or 4 cars trying to find one with CarPlay. Seems like a fairly easy thing to know which cars have which features. It is frustrating to face this issue with every rental.
Picked up a vehicle on San Diego. Found Dog treats under the drivers seat. Pet hair all over the back seat. Seemed like the vehicle was not clean and/or sanitized. A bit disturbing considering we are being so careful nowadays. And I picked Enterprise as my choice for car rental.
Dont trust the customer service reps working there, THEY WILL LIE TO CLOSE THE SALE. We were told that we wouldnt have to pay the fee for dropping the rental at a different location, so we agreed to use them. We didnt receive a receipt, but we had been traveling all day so we didnt even think about it. The next day we drop off the car and get charged an extra $263 and the invoice says we got charged for a Luxury Elite SUV when we drove a Durango. After several weeks of waiting for them to give us an explanation and several emails with no resolution, I call. Turns out, their representative never put a note on the rental agreement to take off that charge, and then SD Enterprise denied our refund even though THEIR REP LIED TO US. God knows how many people they have done this to and gotten away with it!
The vehicle was right for the price though it is higher than most other states. Another problem is that here in California it’s hard to get a one way rental so I had to go through Avis and Budget when I needed. The Enterprise rental here at Twentynine Palms is very expensive and sometime do not have enough cars. I would recommend Enterprise to my family and friends.
The guy who was helping us name (Yusuf), tried to give some extra service of Course for additional money, we clearly told him we don’t need unless roadside assistance, but he still keep going and told me I extremely recommend you pay additional 30$ and get coverage, this is too much and Unprofessional.guys check my account and see how many vehicles I already rent from you guys , I know the deal better than you, once customer say no I don’t want ,don’t pressure them anymore
I have been renting from enterprise for over 10 years now mostly great experience wonderful customer service ,there has been some hiccups nothing big, but my last experience from SD international Airport upset me as my drop off location was changed with out explaining and since during all 10 years of dealing with them I never had any response not to trust them so I signed the contract without reading, that was my mistake, of course the drop off location understood the situation and fixed the isue but it i lost half a day of work to be able to drop off the rental.

2022-01-22Great customer service when I took my car back, I think Ill be trying other rental car spots other than Enterprise, as they charge me $900 for a minivan, when I had a reservation for a luxury car that was super small for $800... Claiming that they didnt have any inventory because of the holiday, and they clearly did. In the past Ive been given a upgrade versus a downgrade with no up charge.... The new America will not accept terrible customer service or we will take our money elsewhere like national or Avis...

2022-02-15Arriving rose helped us pick out a car they didn’t have the type we rented but the car we got worked just fine. The windows didn’t work properly we emailed the location twice since they don’t have a phone to notify them but no one responded. We expressed our concern when we returned the car and James was more than helpful. He was very apologetic about the lack of communication and corrected the problem right away. He made us feel heard. Would highly recommend this location the process was quick and easy!

2022-03-27Scammers! After selecting a car and talking to the enterprise employee for a while, he made us an offer for $520 including taxes&fees for a four day rental. When prompted to pay, the terminal showed $930, which made us curious on why we should pay almost double the amount as the coverage amount for damages is $200.The employee stuttered, trying to lie about why he was trying to retract more money from the credit card as agreed upon.I never thought we had such an issue with a large car rental such as Enterprise. Incredible.

2022-07-21Extremely disappointed by the service here. Be aware they can just throw out your reservation. My flight was delayed by 30 minutes and the Little Italy Enterprise location refused my reservation, even though they would still be open and the car was reserved for me.So I went to this airport rental car location and asked if they would honor my reservation. The rep casually chatted with someone at the service desk for a while, then said they have nothing available, and maybe try again in the morning.I would have expected a little more effort to find a car or really help me at all. Thanks for nothing.

2022-02-13If I could I would give 0. Reserved a car, had to drive 20 miles to get there and have them tell me they didn’t have a car for me (at least jot the one I reserved). The women at the front desk said she couldn’t do anything, that same day rentals are not guaranteed, even tho it doesn’t say anything on the website. If they know this is an issue, it should be solved to not make costumers loose their time and money. Never using nor recommending ever again.

2022-06-25Jerks! Sorry but not sorry. We booked a reservation using points Our flight was cancelled and we could not get them on the phone until the following day and the enterprise app would NOT allow me to make any changes. The next morning we called and they said they would make a new reservation to hold a car and when we arrived they would correct it. When we arrived they refused and charged full price rather than our enterprise points and also refused to use our corporate rate.Getting rental cars these days is not an easy task for most airports so we were stuck with this only option which of course they knew and took advantage of.

2022-03-01Do not rent with these shady people. They tried to charge me for damage to the car that was already present. The lady who helped me even took a picture of the scratch before I took the car! And then conveniently forgot to include it in the rental agreement. The damage recovery unit claimed that the rental agreement reflected no damage documented.Update: they took care of it after much headache and back and forth. Leaving my 2-star review, as this shouldve never happened. And I will never rent with these people again.

2022-05-08It was a fast process, but boy was this car a piece of work. Definitely had been smoked in a few times and it just reeked with whatever they use to cover it up. The inside of the windshield was all streaky and everything was sticky all week. Their detailer clearly suck, but everything else was fine. Friendly people and they got us out fast.

2022-02-18The failed up-sellOnce you claim your bags from baggage claim its a long way to the car rental center at San Diego Airport. You have to go upstairs, across 6 lanes of traffic to get to the rental car shuttle. There is only one shuttle that will take you to the rental car center with all rental agencies. The ride is about 10 minutes. There is a sign downstairs for Enterprise, Alamo, and National but there is another sign pointing Enterprise customers upstairs to their other booth. We arrived at about 10:40 am for a premium special vehicle I booked for noon pick up (booking default). We were greeted by Alex. He was a nice guy, but his sell tactics hindered his customer service and our experience. When he charged the card he told me my total was about $40 more than what I booked. I pulled up the email and showed him my quoted price. The system had me checking out at 10:45 am but returning at 12 noon and charging me for the hour. I had Alex fix it and we were all set. After we settled that he started showing us some cars. He took us to some mid-size luxury SUVs and said I really need to get rid of some of these. I assumed that meant we were okay to choose from this selection. A few months prior I booked the same premium special at LAX and they were going to give me a Chrysler 300 S until I told them it smelled like smoke. They then put me in a Volvo XC90 for no additional charge. So I assumed these luxury SUVs were apart of the Special. NOPE. Alex wanted to charge me an additional $13/ day for these cars. At this point Im saying in my head, I just called you out on the time over charge, what makes you think Im going to...So I ask him, what do you have that I paid for? He looks around and as he was looking an Impala pulled up. He says the Impala would be the only thing he could give me, but he really needed it. I told him if this is the only thing Im not going to be upsold on then Im taking it.The car had a bunch of non-qualifing cosmetic blemishes and one huge one that I made sure he documented in addition to the separating trunk lining.Once we checked out, the car was quite enjoyable. It had a lot of power to get us where we needed to go. The gas gauge was weird at fill up and we had to get on the highway for the car to register as full.

2022-03-18Dont Make the Mistake My Company Did ! I was a customer for many years but no more.... ! Marianna Garcia Diaz according to her card is the Station Manager. She is one of the most unprofessional representatives I have ever met in 50 years of business and at least 20 years with Enterprise ! Rude as can possibly be and absolutely ZERO help. In fact she just ended up walking out ( time to go home ) telling me that sorry I cant help you ! I was shocked. Went down stairs and joined Payless Car Rental where all they wanted to do was help.....Marianna lost a long time customer.....and Payless Car Rental gained a new one !
