Thankfully there was not too many people here when we came. Just remember to get a number from the machine as they go by your number. I like that because it makes it orderly and you can see how close they are to your number on any one of the TV screens. The agents were nice and helpful and fast.
Just dropping off and picking up forms. Receptionist was very nice and helpful. She was very knowledgeable with information we needed. I love that they have phamhlets out you can take that has very resourceful information. A lady came out that was awesome! She gave me alot more resources I didnt know, love her!
For the most part you run into whole Pantheon of different walks of life here...Not to fond of the crowd😑. But the perks in this location is there is actually somebody at the door to assist you if you simply need to drop off or scan documents ASAP that goes directly to your assigned worker etc. Saves so much time then waiting in line.
I dont understand why do you hire people who have attitudes when working with the public that really need help? You need to start hiring people that actually have compassion and have been in a similar situations as people and just dont come to work for a pay check. I just got off the phone with a lady who was rude. Im getting sick and tired of dealing with some of the workers out in Antioch Ca. It makes no sense at all. Also the workers need to have ettitque as well. You say thank you and then you get a mmhhmmm or alright. What is that? Just very rude! You all need to do better with hiring the right people. Ive only been receiving assistance for 2 months and deal with nasty attitudes! When I do get back on my feet I will never ask for assistance again!
I am convinced this office does not take any phone calls. Every time I call, no matter what time even as SOON as they open I get told that there are too many calls and try again later or I even get hung up on multiple times. I have never been able to connect with anyone from their number, ever.
Does not even have a direct office number to the location, get stuck on hold just to speak with an operator, only to be transferred and be stuck on hold even longer, and the place just opened, 20 mins ago, does not know how to answer phones, keeps you on hold for really long, and cant help with anything and keeps transferring one line to the next, they really need new staff, WORST PLACE EVER, WORSE THAN WAITING AT THE DMV...
Long wait time! This place is OLD and nasty! I know most people here NEED HELP! But its one thing to be broke, you cant be dirty as well. Please wash up before going to this office. I was here for State MediCal and couldnt even get a professional person to help me. I was given a 1800 number that I already had! Youll get NO help here if you visit.
Hate this place i got dirty looks the staff that I met so far ok slow on doing they job tho all I need was some insurance and it took over a month wen I turned the paperwork in wen the lady said she needed it they act like u just want something for free no I got sick had surgery insurance ran out cause I cant work right now I had to get Obama care I felt outta place but I had to do wat I had to do but that place makes me feel less then a person smfh but Ill be well soon so I can get back to work getting public assistance is a headache

2022-02-03Dont expect to have your phone working while youre waiting. Its not just this building its the whole system but some of these workers shouldnt ever interact with humans and definitely not have control over their help. I had a worker that was so unethical that I complained to the big guys (more than the supervisor) and got her switched which never happens, hopefully she got fired but I doubt it. I have it two stars because there are a couple that are trying to help the community.

2022-05-04I applied for emergency food stamps sent in all my documents, received a worker I’ve been calling and calling to see the status and have not heard from her yet it’s been 3 weeks. Very disappointed with this county. When I was in alameda I never had to deal with this prolonged process.

2022-05-30I’m going to be honest with you all… they really don’t offer no help, worker don’t answer the phone or return calls, and security is highly disrespectful especially to the mentally I’ll and disabled.

2022-03-05Quick and painless. This visit I believe everyone was stangely, relaxed- courteous even. Maybe this slow down of our world isnt so bad.

2022-01-25I dont know anything about health and human services at this location but they give out free vegetables on two Fridays per month I believe the first and third Fridays and I think it might be 11:00 a.m. you should check.

2018-04-08Some days s are better than others. Each worker that I have had for my grand children have always been respectful, informative, and doesn’t keep me long. And if your disabled they will come to your house for an appointment. Again some days are better than others when it comes to applying for services. Some days go quick, some days go slow. Best time to go is early in the morning.

2018-06-27Had some things to take care of and after waiting a while, I was called up and I explained what I needed, to which I was told to visit another building. I went to said building, only to be told that the former place I went to was the correct one. After wasting hours of my time with nothing to show for it, I counted my losses and tried again another day. Thankfully, the office in Fremont is staffed by competent people who actually care and got everything done with no issues in an efficient manner. If you can get there, go to the Fremont one instead.
