Honestly incredibly disappointed in our stay. The rooms are below average despite apparently being recently renovated, the air condition didn’t work in the room we were in, the staff was stingy with supplies (ie. We called down for more towels after going to the beach and got told there was a daily limit), breakfast is done by 9 am (?) but the restaurant doesn’t open until 4 pm (?), the parking is in a garage under the hotel which is an additional $30 a night, they charged us an additional $250 fee (for 6 nights) “just in case” and say parking is apart of that, the beds are ‘fine’ but the pillows and sheets are very uncomfortable. I think the biggest disappointment was that the AC didn’t work… we’re in southern California, you need the AC. But overall, especially for the price you pay and the expectation of this hotel chain name— extremely disappointing.
I was staying here for work and had a number of issues. Below is a few bullet points of the main items. Personally I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere. We paid about $225 a night.- upon checking-in (about 2pm), I called down because I noticed the bedroom light was completely hanging out and one was missing- it took until about 8pm to have this fixed- but the fix was shoving the exposed back in- which caused it to flicker and then placing a non-working one in the other spot- the central air never changed from 74° even though it was set to 68° for 2 days-when I called for assistance they said they would file a note for the engineer. He did come up and look at it but it did take a minute to resolve it.-went to use the hair dryer just to find it broken in half- pictures attached. When I brought it down to the front desk they said theyd bring me a new one, just to have a new clothing iron brought to the room. I explained to the gentleman I didnt need an iron but a hair dryer and about 15 min later he brought me a new one.-bedroom door does NOT lock ( Google doesnt allow videos but picture shows how it awkwardly hung)
I had a very bad experience knowing we are in a pandemic, the sheets were stained and looked very dirty, called front desk and he informed me he was going to inform management. When he checked in he said he was going to wave parking due to my status and Hilton member. He never did and was left that morning. But a very friendly member fixed it. We called into member service and they filled a complaint and management was going to reach out to me. Management refused to refund me. The person next door was smoking and it was getting into our room. We called and they were going to inform the guest about it. Today I called and the person who was working was very rude and was coming for me. She didn’t want to find a resolution and told me that her manager isn’t available today. I asked to be transferred to someone friendly and the person was super helpful and said she was going to pass this information to her manager. The other person should be retrained she clearly didn’t know how to deal with customers. All I asked for a refund for the fact that our stay wasn’t as Pleasant. House keeping failed to keep the sheets clean after other guest.
We usually like to stay at Embassy suites since we have kids and like the included breakfast. I usually like the included happy hour! So this occasion we decided to get the presidential suite. The good: front desk was very nice, lady who checked us in was very nice and reviewed all information about the facilities etc with us. The room was on the 10th floor and was a great size (two large, king sized beds, one in each room); two bathrooms and a local room with dining area and splash bar and microwave etc. The suite had three TVs. The room had fair views being 10 stories up. We liked the breakfast although you had to get there before 9am.We like the hotel was quite central to where we were going to be and near the 405 freeway. The not so good: We did splash out on the room so were expecting the room to be really up to date and without any issues - so were surprised to find it was in desperate need of updating. In a few places some of the grout was coming off, the taps were not straight in the bathrooms and in one of the showers the tap was all wobblily that I thought it would fall off if I twisted too hard. The water steam from the showers was not good. Some of the curtains had stains. The carpet looked like it should be replaced as should most of the furniture ... it felt like I was back in the 1990s.One of the bathroom door handles was loose and would not lock. The A/C cover on one of the units was coming off and missing a screw.Otherwise the rooms were overall fairly clean but not what I expected for the price I paid (about $550 per night), I felt for calling it Presidential it should be at a higher level even though the hotel is 3 star. I also would have thought a manager or someone who does quality would be regularly checking rooms for basic maintenance but it does not seem so.The parking structure is good and felt secure but be aware its a different building that you have to walk back to the main hotel, there is even some stairs you have to go up which is painful especially if you have many bags (as we did). Also parking is not included which is typical for most hotels ... although you do feel it may have been included when you are getting one of the more expensive rooms so that is $30 per day. Finally, the other not so good for me was that for the happy hour (which I only used one night out for a three night stay) where you can get two drinks per evening, I found out that the draught beer was only half a pint and that cocktails were an extra $2. I do not recall this the last time I had stayed at Embassy suites (pre-covid).So, overall I still like Embassy suites ... but I do not feel I would now spend the extra money for a better room as it was not as good as I hoped and I did feel a little duped by the happy hour to be charged a few buck for a cocktail. In the past with Embassy I had not really felt like I was staying in a 3 star hotel but this time I did.
There were tons of kids running up and down the hallways shrieking and stomping throughout the entire hotel, most of them older and unmasked. They were pushing past people and crowding into elevators making it uncomfortable for other guests to ride in them. When asked about it, the front desk simply said they have a group of sports teams staying here and their security person is trying to find their parents because they are unsupervised. That was two hours ago and the noise continues. I just called down to the front desk and asked again. They reported they are still working on it. They said they would get a manager for me to speak with. I held for 15 minutes before hanging up without the manager ever coming to the phone. I love kids and have four of my own. This is completely out of control and they are not handling it well or at all. I am sure I am not the only guest who is unhappy here tonight. I watched others wait for subsequent elevators when they saw the unmasked kids piling in without any parents in sight. I am extremely disappointed with the hotels handling of the situation!
We checked in late evening on April 11 2022 around 9:30 pm. After a long day out to Knott’s Berry Farm theme park with my family, we went straight to bed. Next morning, we had breakfast and got ready for our day. I noticed multiple blood stains the size of apple on the black outs and right bedroom wall. I notified front desk and they didn’t accommodate my family and I. Very disappointed with out stay at embassy suites. As usual, they don’t care on our experience or what we see in these so called suites. We are paying a high amount nightly for???Next time I’ll be looking into staying at a MARRIOT property.
The air conditioning was out for over 24 hours and then that got fixed and since then we have had dozens of children running wild, screaming, going up and down the elevators and stairwells. We have complained multiple times and management hasnt done anything to help. Its an embarrassment that adults allow their children to act like they are in an active prison riot and more embarrassing that Embassy Suites apparently condones this behavior. Im never staying at this hotel chain again.
I was a guest here so cannot complain much but I am always honest about rating places I go, whether free or if I pay. The housekeeping is outstanding, my room was by the elevator and it was cleaned everyday, the atmosphere of the hotel was also nice, but the breakfast wasn’t as I expected (specially being in town for thanksgiving, I expected a little more service than a semi cold scramble egg, toasts (w/blueberry or strawberry jam) tea/coffee, few choices of fruit and an oatmeal)! You should check out the included breakfast in small motels in Europe and you can truly say “Including Breakfast”. I even stayed few days after thanksgiving but the breakfast was still the same. I expected more from this enormous Hotel. But overall everything else was great. They was following all the safety Covid-19 regulations and the best part was the Starbucks in the lobby; so convenient 😋
2 stars because the staff was very nice in helping us cancel early due to flight changes. The staff is friendly, but they work at a snails pace.1-5 rating (1 being the lowest), heres what I thought:Cleanliness = 1: I took pictures for your reference... gross is the best way to describe it. We had a dirty towel in the bath room, there was something not wiped down on the side table, the floor was gross, the walls were dirty, there was stuff on the water faucet, and it desperately needed a vacuum! Staff wears masks, but they dont enforce patrons wearing them, but I understand not wanting confrontation.Staff response = 1.5: We did ask for a lot of things, but only because we requested things online that werent ready for us. The 1st visit the staff knocked once and just walked in ! I was bathing my daughter and went to answer the door and she just walked in.... Then we needed sheets for the pullout bed which took over an hour and 2 different calls before we just decided to go down and get them ourselves.Noise = 2.5: People and their barking dogs are loud! We did have a room by the elevator and I STRONGLY suggest specifying you want a room away from the elevator. But even still, you could here people yelling down the hall. You could here people walking above too. However by 9pm it was quiet and it was fairly quiet in the morning.Amenities = 3: We didnt do the pool or the gym, but they are there. Theres a free breakfast and its decent. They have several options to choose from (bacon, eggs, potatoes, cereal, assorted pastry and breads) and they seem to take extra COVID protocols that other hotels dont like keeping the eggs, bacon and other items behind the counter where they serve you.All-in-all: choose another place to stay, but if you have to stay here, its not the end of the world.
I priced around a lot of hotels and for various purposes we stayed at 3 different hotels in the Orange County area. This hotel was convenient, well situated, actually served breakfast, had a variety of food and other accommodations on sight, and had a unique vibe that delighted my girls more than the higher end hotels we had previously stayed at. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for a night after a wedding. The rooms are spacious; mini living room, decent bathrooms, and the bedroom itself are spacious- complete with ironing utilities. The hotel itself looks like a dorm (luxury) style.- free breakfast- gym- poolI would say, this hotel is in the mid- category not your luxury but not the one star as well. Affordable and accessible:close to restaurants.I enjoyed my stay, and wouldnt mind staying here again in the future.
The room was very clean. We booked two nights and as soon as I walked in I smelled something odd...like something burning. Our second night there the unit behind the wall where the thermostat was starting making loud and/or whirring sounds. I cant help but wonder of the smell and sound were related. I called the front desk and someone came to check it out and about an hour later I got a call asking if we wanted to switch rooms. We were checking out the next day and so my husband said not to bother with it. We were in room 827. I just had to pray that nothing would blow up while we were sleeping.
Made reservations and pre paid for a ADA room as my husband is mobility impaired. Room was not accessible. We also picked this hotel because the advertisement said they had room service which was a plus. This would have also been helpful so we would not need to load in the van every time we wanted to get something to eat. We were quickly disappointed to find out they no longer had room service. Also, the bathroom was not as clean, wall was sort of nasty. Can’t believe this was 4 stars. Will never stay here again.
I like best the room seems cozy. However there are a few things that can improve:1. The bed is a little too soft and not comfortable.2. The breakfast says hot but not really. The food and coffee layout is all wrong seems like in the dark and not presentable. Someone from food management of Hilton needs to do some management skill sharpening.3. The server ladies dont seems to get it.4. The hot jacuzzi was not working but when I called they say have but didnt mention not working.5. The pool was green but the water was warmOver all the place is nice but can use Hilton people to come help out.Almost got a perfect score.
This hotel was amazing. Clean spacious room, spotless inside and out. Wonderful breakfast. My only suggestion would be to have complimentary coffee until at least noon and breakfast until at least 10 am, as there are some who need more sleep and 9 am comes very quickly.
I’m extremely disappointed. Considering that a one week stay at this hotel costs as much as my apartment rental for a month!! I’d like to say that I NEVER write reviews, good or bad, but just had to say something about this. The hotel lobby was a all very nice but it seems I was placed in some tiny corner room which had seen better days. The room was very clean however the bathroom had nothing except a teeny tiny bottle of shampoo and conditioner. No shower gel, no shower cap, no lotion. The toilet paper holder was about to fall off the wall so didn’t hold the toilet paper roll properly. The electric outlet by the bed is built into the nightstand and the two outlets didn’t work so couldn’t charge my phone. I finally found one outlet on the other side of the nightstand that worked but had to look really hard to even find it. One tiny closet that was cluttered with a safe, a folded suitcase rack and giant ironing board so had to manœuvre around all this stuff to be able to hang a few articles of clothing. And lest I forget, the self parking rate for their garage is $30 a day!!! This is simply obscene. There’s not even a direct access from their garage to the hotel so I had to haul my suitcase uphill in the pouring rain to go back thru the lobby. I truly am regretting booking this hotel for my xmas week in OC. Never again
We stayed here from 12/20/2021 to 12/23/2021, room 507. On the night we checked in, the bedroom door hinge broken (see picture). We told front desk next morning. Since we stay only for a few night, we told them dont bother to fix it. We just leave the door opened. A few days later we got a repair bill for $100. We complainted with Hilton support line. They said they will file a case with Embassy Suites Irvine. (Case #112027536). We have not heard anything from them since then. Our family like Embassy Suites very much. We have stayed at such location in Burlington, Anaheim, Monterey, Orlando, FL. But for this Irvine location, we gave them 2 stars for the way they handle this matter. Charging us for their malfunction door is ridiculous.Learn from our experience. If something wrong with your room, demand them to fix right away, or ask to move to another room immediately.
Everything you need at a good price. Clean, nice natural light, fridge, in-room coffee and microwave. The location is great. Close to airport but no airport noise. Took off one star for $30 overnight parking fee that wasnt disclosed when room was booked. Would stay again!
Disappointed in the so-called cooked to order breakfast this Embassy Suites offered on Sunday morning, didnt eat breakfast Monday morning as I left at 5 a.m., no happy hour was extremely disappointing and 1st time ever I have had to pay for parking at an Embassy Suites. Would rather see the parking charges built in to the price of the room vs a separate charge. If I would have known these 3 things ahead of time, it would have weighed in on choosing your hotel. Honestly all other Embassy Suites I have stayed at get a 5* rating due to the above being addressed.
The worst experience. We have been staying in this hotel all the time for last 10 years but this time they made our stay a hail. Not happy. They over charged us trying to get money back they say ok but nothing is happening, the breakfast was worst , better not to eat it , rooms were not clean , the jacuzzi was not working , people working there did not care about anything very cold and unresponsive., won’t recommend it to anyone.
Let me start by saying that I am a Diamond member at Hilton and have pretty much stayed in Hiltons and Embassy Suites across the US. We stayed here for thanksgiving for 4 nights. I wake up on Thanksgiving day to go to my car (parked in Embassy Suites parking lot) only to find a tree fell on top of it. That night there were strong winds and a tree fell on top of three cars. My rating is not based on the damage that happened to my car, but the lack of ownership and support the hotel offered during this time. The hotel basically said it’s an act of god so you have to deal with your insurance. Not one person called us to notify us of the tree fall nor did they call us after the whole ordeal to apologize. They basically said the tree that fell is not part of there property so I have to talk to the neighboring Association to discuss. The way the hotel responded was extremely disappointing coming from a respectable company. The managers didn’t even take down my room number or apologize about the ordeal. I would stay away from this hotel completely. It’s unfortunate because the location is really nice.
The hotel is nice and areas within are clean. Rooms are up to date and spacious. However, the Pool was not in service ( It would have been nice to know prior to booking)we have small children who enjoy swimming. Less than 24 hours after arrival the air condition stopped in our room. We called to request service in which we were told maintenance would be here immediately. After waiting 1.5 hours we went to the front desk only for the associate to advise she never called maintenance. Once maintenance arrived he advised the air filter was extremely dirty and they had a system issue. He worked on the unit and it began running again. Maintenance was very kind and professional. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for the front desk associate. Customer service is lacking!
The Embassy Suites brand is normally a pretty reliable brand and we like it. So we were more than a bit surprised at the issues we have had. Please forgive the long-winded description. We booked two separate rooms for our family and requested that they be adjacent. The agent we spoke to agreed. When we arrived (early), the two adjacent rooms were not ready but they gave us two non-adjacent rooms and told us that when we returned that evening, we could move from one of the rooms to an adjacent room. When we returned, the agent told us there was no such request on record and somewhat implied that I was lying. I just gave up as it was not worth fighting about. The room my wife and I had was mostly comfortable, but the mattress on the bed seemed to be either very old or else very cheap. The springs creaked and it was uncomfortable. We asked for a different room. We got a new room but the bed was not much better. Quite surprising as Embassy Suites is normally very comfortable. We decided not to try to move again as it seemed pointless.Later I went to use the bathroom and closed the door. When I tried to exit, I found that I could not open the bathroom door. The handle was malfunctioning. I called to my wife and she tried to open the door from the other side and she could not get it open either. I was trapped. It suddenly occurred to me that, had my wife not been there, I literally would have had no way to contact anybody to get help. And since they are not doing cleaning service without requesting it, it was possible that I could have been trapped for days. My wife got maintenance to come up and get the door open. I then contacted the front desk to complain and make a point that I considered this a serious safety issue. The supervisor seemed sympathetic and told me the manager would be contacting me about this in the morning. It has been 3 days and the manager has not contacted me nor have I been able to get through to them.As a separate issue, after a couple of days I requested cleaning service and they told me the cleaning crew would come the next day. When we returned in the evening the next day, it was obvious that the room had not been cleaned. I went to inquire at the front desk and they told me there was no record of a request for cleaning. This all is not acceptable at any hotel, but is far beneath the standards of a hotel that charges as much as Embassy Suites.
Maybe its because of Covid but the breakfast buffet was nowhere near as good as it was prior. They use to have tons of food options and made to order omelets but now its just Eggs,Bacon and potatoes. Typically the room rates are higher due to the breakfast but currently its not worth it in my opinion. I would have rather stayed somewhere else cheaper and bought breakfast elsewhere.
A fine hotel. Still not doing the managers special (even though they are serving breakfast/other Embassy Suites are across the country).Edit**—In response to the reply I received from the hotel: Your front desk worker must have been confused then because I directly asked her about the reception (whatever your hotel calls it) and she said it hasn’t returned since the pandemic started.
The room that I stayed was old and was in need of a huge remodeling. The microwave didn’t work at all and the breakfast was terrible (poor options and if something is gone, they don’t have more food available). I paid almost $300 for just one night and the were denying food 😳 My experience was unpleasant! If you’re coming to Irvine/Orange County, go and find another hotel to stay, this one doesn’t worth it.Response from the owner an hour agoWe do not see that you were a registered guest at our hotel. Are you sure this was at our hotel? Often we are confused for the other local Embassy Suites, and vice versa. Reason we ask is that we do not have any reports of microwave issues that were communicated to us. In addition, we did not have any food unavailable that was being served. If it was our hotel we would like to know more as we do feel there might at least be much more to this situation and that is the only way we can improve. Does not sound like us but things can happen when dealing with people. We just want to get the information right.Thank youMy response:The booking was under my husband’s name (which is the same last name as mine). I’m not mistaken 😁And, we did have issues with the breakfast and the microwave. The manager can check my confirmation number at the picture.
Nice rooms....great staff that provides great service and I love the rooms with showers only. I am in heaven 😆 Still serving only grab and go breakfast but the lobby area is nice. IMPORTANT ADDITION: Blake, the manager was absolutely phenomenal. We thought we would have to check out of the hotel but Blake made a way which allowed us to have an uninterrupted stay. He was even so accommodating that he called the other Hilton property and talked to the manager about cancelling our reservation without penalty. Blake was the ultimate professional and made us truly feel extra special, or simply like the Diamond 💎 members we are. He took customer service to another level and we noticed it was not just in our case, we observed Blake taking up blankets and talking to guest as if EVERY guest was a Diamond member. We have not seen customer service like that in a looong time👏😆
After a bad experience last year, Jeff the Gen manager assured if we tried it again we would be happy and he would take care of things! He was right. The hotel staff was awesome, front desk manager and others were super nice, and the rooms were great this year. The air conditioner worked. We booked 7 rooms for a Fam reunion and were very happy! We will be back!
Nice hotel but not a good experience at all for me. We stayed for one night on September 17. Dirty bathtub, no bedding for the second bed in the room, no personnel to bring it and very poor breakfast. When we asked the front desk why so many issues with the service, they said they were lacking some resources and personnel due to Covid protocols. Well, it seems you forgot to adjust the Covid protocols to hotel capacity. It was crowded and not prepared to deal with it.
Horrible marijuanna in the parking garage($30a night) and guest bathroom everyday I was there (5 days/ 4 nights). Breakfast was two stars and hot tub is always closed. Haven’t seen it open in years. A fight broke out at 8 am in front of my kids along with many others, with cops being called. I travel to the OC often and this was my preferred hotel. I even brought my sisters and their families down this time because I wanted them to experience how great this hotel was. To only be extremely disappointed and embarrassed. I will never stay here again.
This was the worst stay I have had at an Embassy Suites in recent memory. There were several issues with this hotel. First, there were no available parking spots for checkin. Some were taken by other cars, and others had cones to block them off. So, we had to park and walk with our suitcases from the parking garage to the front of the hotel. And, that is the second issue. Parking was in a parking structure, with no inside access via elevator to the hotel lobby. That entailed about a 1/4 mile walk up hill with our bags to get to the lobby. Parking was simply inconvenient, and then you charged me for parking. The entire parking situation is unacceptable and you should not charge guests for the inconvenience.Breakfast was a joke. A small box with a hot breakfast sandwich and a tiny muffin! No juice. I even asked for orange juice, and the attendant disappeared never to be seen again. One coffee receptacle. No fruit. No yogurt. No cereal.Televisions would not show close captions, which is tough on someone like me with a hearing disability.I do not want to hear about COVID as an excuse since we have been in several hotels recently that had adequate service. This was a huge disappointment and overly expensive for the minimal services provided. Shameful for a Hilton property.
This hotel is centralized in a good area for food and stores. However it is in need of some TLC. The door lock mechanism was loose on the entry door and not secure. The bathroom door lock didnt work. The TV in the living room would not power on. The furniture was extraordinarily stained and should be replaced. Besides that the room surfaces were clean. Usually we are recognized as HHonors Gold members but not at this location. No happy hour due to shortage of employees but that seems to be a state wide issue in Commifornia. I would consider other accommodations when in Irvine.
My room was 80% clean. There was a large stain on the left side of the bed on the skirt that no one bothered to clean up. The matress was uncomfortable and hard, because they tried to place a pillow topper on top of an old uncomfortable matress. I have stayed at many Embassy Suites, and all thoes locations had really comfortable soft mattresses. As an honors member I did not feel welcomed when I checked in. I experienced discrimination as an African American by the bar staff. On top of it all the bar staff who also serves the food at the restaurant and drinks were NOT wearing masks!
We love Embassy suites because of the size of the rooms and the beautiful atriums. This Embassy was lovely but the services were not good. I understand things are rough because of Covid but I believe you should still have a clean hotel. When we went down for breakfast there were smashed French fries and other food on the floor which must have been from the night before. One morning I took a bag of hard boiled eggs and when I went to eat one it tasted bad - I looked at the bag and saw that it had expired. I went to the manager and he said he would take care of it.The breakfast window was short (only 2 hours) which is not usual for Embassy suites. I wanted to go boxes to bring food to our kids who were sleeping and one of the cooks wouldn’t give us them. Also when they ran out of fruit or bread (40 minutes before breakfast ended) it was not replaced. The parking was horrible as the main lot was full often and we had to go to a paid lot to park – so we paid twice to park and had to ask several times to get the second fee removed.I will give this hotel another try after the Covid-19 pandemic is behind us to see if things get better.
This place clearly was an upscale business traveler hotel. The grounds are beautiful. It does not seem to be managing Covid very well. The rooms are huge, The beds are awesome, and the bedding is new and clean. However the carpet is a little dated. The digital key does not work for the outside doors or the parking garage. When I first got here the laundry room card reader was not working And I had to call the company to get it fixed. The shower water is not hot. It’s not cold, but it’s lukewarm when it’s at full heat. And they wouldn’t increase the heat. The fridge is tiny, it does not really keep things cold. This was probably fine when there was a full restaurant, room service, 24 hours a day. But with Covid is not working. Awful working refrigerator would be more useful than the safe. The staff is super friendly and helpful, but you just can’t always find them. And there was, what appeared to be a homeless guy sleeping in the lobby this morning.
Internet is incredibly spotty and slow. I was receiving less than 2 Mbps from my room, which is unacceptable in a digital-necessitated age. I asked the man working the front desk night shift if anything could be done, such as raising my speed, to which I was told: “if we did that, then we wouldn’t have a business.” After talking some more, this employee did agree to offer a higher internet plan (edit: which doesn’t even exist, there appears to be one universal speed), but his initial response had already ruined my experience permanently. I do feel a bit bad for him, as the technology at a hotel with these rates needs a desperate upgrade. That part is clearly not his fault. I would prefer straight, no sarcasm answers, as well as not being hung up on rudely, though, as that IS in his control.I have stayed at this hotel on 4 separate occasions and am saddened to see the quality, both of the room and specifically the front desk at this time of night, dip this low.
Clean, great staff, Starbucks was understaffed, extremely long waits in the morning for coffee, at times it exceeded 20 plus minutes. every trip down was a long wait for myself and others, many were irritated by this. But the staff including Starbucks were awesome, very friendly and the hotel is very clean and friendly.
I would not recommend this location. The facilities needs to be fixed up. Also note the our shower was clogged, then the staff let us use the shower next door. That was clogged as well so, it was a much bigger issue. Then we went to another room just to take a shower then they moved us into another room the next day. The hot breakfast was cold, coffee wasnt free. The worst experience Ive had at an Embassy suites.
We booked our stay thru hotels.com and asked for an extra night stand for our room since my partner does dyalisis daily. We called after booking online and waited and hr until we spoke to someone on the phone and spoke to them about our nightstand and late check out to make sure we had the time for him to finish his dyalisis treatment and get out. The person we spoke to on the phone was super helpful. We show up on the day (sunday) at 4 and immediately one of the 2 keycards didnt work and the room was dirty. I took my shoes off and the carpet had black sticky spot all over the room. I went to sit on the vanity and the bench and vanity had something sticky and yellow all over it. The bathroom fan didnt work and the outside sink was clogged. And they hadnt supplied the extra nightstand. We immediately call the desk to let them know and the guy says hell be up in 5 mins. This was at 4:10, we told him we had an event to be at at 5. We wait. At 5 we call him again and then 10 minutes later he shows up. He takes pictures and tells us hes going to give us a new room. We tell him we need to go and are already running late and remind him of the table or nightstand. 15 min later he gives us a new room. Right in front of the elevators. At that point we are running late and again no nightstand. He says he will bring one up himself by 8 pm . We tell him we wont be there and he says he will bring it. We leave without inspecting the room since we are late. We get back to the room at 10:30 and my partner at this point has to connect asap to stay on schedule. No nightstand. At this point we dont have time to waste waiting for them . We had to move the heavy vanity in order for us to have somewhere to put his dyalisis machine . The moment we go to the bathroom we notice the door doesnt close all the way and the fan doesnt work either. There was 3 of us so it was very awkward. The pull out couch is not only ratty and old it has only a sheet on it. And as soon as we pull off the sheet from our bed theres hair on the sheets. So grossed out. Our stay was horrible. Dirty , not helpful and the elevator noises didnt let us sleep even if we tried . We were incredibly disappointed as weve stayed at this name hotel before and had wonderful experiences. This one was horrid. Do not recommend at all. And also they say breakfast is included and when we got there the manager said he doesnt like dealing with it so there was not going to be any available. This stay could not have been any worse . Not up to code with cleanliness at all and customer service was definitely lacking
Worst experience ever, after asking to view the room prior to me booking I was denied by both of the receptionist! Paid for room, went into the room with my grandchildren and was totally disgusted by the quality and cleanliness of this room. Couches and floors looked horrible and was dirty, did not want my babies to even sit down. Left immediately, told I wouldn’t be charged but some how I was charged twice, one returned and the other pending.😡 So, if this was all the money I had, me and my grandkids would have been left without a room for the Mother’s Day Weekend! Definitely disappointed in the staff but I guess now I see why they wouldn’t let me view room prior to booking.
Overall a great place to stay for the price.Clean and well maintained the rooms are good. Also a decent breakfast options. They do have laundry and a starbucks inside the hotel which is open till noon. Also you can ask for early checkin incase they have rooms available they will arrange. They have parking available. Its about an hour drive from LA.
Thank you so much to front desk manager Blake! My daughter and her friend were on their first road trip and I called ahead to make sure all was ok for them to check in! They had had a bad experience at a hotel on the way down to Irvine form Oregon so I wanted to make sure things were good to go!! He was amazing!!! He went above and beyond in seeing they had everything they needed! They always felt safe and knew if they needed a thank for they could call the front desk!! Blake deserves so many accolades for how well he treated them!!!!
Giving 3 stars only because of the good location, family suites, and cleanliness.Negatives: we received breakfast vouchers for each day of our stay. Blake, the guy who checked us in, never mentioned we had to also be on a list to receive this meal. You would think have the vouchers were enough?! So the 1st day of our stay we were denied breakfast by Blake. There was also another guest behind us that had the same issue. None of us knew about this list. The 2nd day of our stay, we did receive the breakfast with no issue, however it was lady that helped us this time and not Blake. She mentioned nothing about the list. The bed was also hard as a rock which Ive never experienced at any other Hilton hotels.
Check in was easy. Room service was kind and considerate. So happy there was a Starbucks in the hotel. The bar area was very nice, the atrium style architecture is extremely interesting. There was a fish that I really liked. Overall great experience free shuttle to and from the airport! Room was fine.
First of all, this place has excellent customer service. The Young lady who checked me in was professional and down to earth. The suites are nice and well kept. Another impressive suite from the embassy franchise. It is always a pleasure to stay at an embassy suite. Ive had business trainings in their event rooms and had breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as drinks that were some of the best drinks and dishes that Ive ever had in any hotel in the area.
Its a nice hotel, everything nice and clean, hotel staff friendly and responsive. Breakfast these days consists mainly of package food because of the Covid protocols, so dont expect so much about it. Only thing to be careful about is that there is not any free parking close to the hotel which was the opposite of what we were told by a representative in a phone call one day before of our arrival which was kind of disappointing since that influenced of our decision to stay there. Besides from that, everything was very good.
This a great location and close to many amazing California attractions. As per the hotel staff, we were very fortunate to have an incredible man by the name of Blake, who honest to God went above and beyond to make our stay a 5-star experience. This man took time out of his day to assist us with anything he could and made all of the guests feel as though they were VIPs. This man was born to be in this industry and bc of him we booked at other Embassy suite hotels for the rest of our stay, which was another 2 weeks in other states. 1 star was list bc the pool was closed, they did offer to transport us to another hotel and use their pool.
General Manager Ronald Murray was rude and unpleasant. There was problems in the room and he seemed to not care and was bothered by me telling him what was wrong. I had reported the bathroom handle kept coming off, the wet bar faust loose and the tub stopper broke. Amy sent engineering to fix it but he was not friendly either. He said he was going to come back because he had to get a part but he never did. So I just waited to tell them when I checked out. So I had mention it to Ronald (GM) he didnt care. I will never recommend anyone to stay at this property. He should not be able to treat his guest like that Gold, Diamond or anyone.
Truly the worst Embassy experience weve had and the nail in the coffin for us with this chain. They use covid as an excuse to close everything, then attempt to charge the same room rate. We stayed at another hotel, a Best Western, the following night and we were blown away by the quality of everything from open pool to full hot breakfast, both hotels in the same county.
Room was filthy. Bed was really hard, no pillow topper or matterss pad. Carpet is old and grimy. My wife had to clean the room herself. Trash under the bed, it was horrible. Add in that there were a ton of kids that ran loose through the building until after 10:00 at night. In the morning you wake up to tripping over dogs off of leashes in the foyer. This is not where you bring a date or wife. This is where you bring your family of three or more and you let them run wild.
Our stay was great! With the exception of the cleanliness of the flooring (bad stains on carpet in front room) everything else was great! The breakfast buffet was awesome! A huge shout out to manager Luis in Lost and Found. I accidentally forgot my tablet and he went over and beyond to return it to me! Thanks for the great stay!
Embassy Suites is always a nice place to stay, & this time was as well. Only problem was I had to book thru Expedia because the 800 Hilton could not price match. The restaurant & bar were closed which was a big inconvenience as was the Starbucks that was there. The room was great as was the service.
We have stayed at this hotel over 10 times. It has always been one of our favorite places to stay. However, this last trip we had some major issues. First, there were cockroaches all over. The hotel employees told us that it isn’t that big of a deal and they have them in their offices too. Second, the air conditioning went out in 3 of our rooms. Third, between our family we had 3 rooms here, and every single room had giant stains all over the carpet and furniture. We stayed here for a week and because of COVID our rooms were not cleaned. I almost feel like the rooms were less taken care of even when we checked in. For example, there was some type of liquid splashed on the back of a door and all over the wall in one of our rooms when we checked in. Clearly not cleaned. And lastly, some of the hotel staff were totally unprofessional and rude at times. Like I said we have made this hotel our go to vacation spot for over 10 years and we have loved it in the past. So I know what to compare it to. But this last trip was more than disappointing. Maybe management has changed. Who knows?! Not sure if we will ever come back to this hotel.
No complaints about the room. Its was nice, clean, and comfortable. The parking however, was a joke. 90% of spots are compact, which leaves people to take up more than one spot. So not only can you not find parking. If you manage to let all passengers out of the car and squeeze into a spot, they also charge for guests to park in their lot. Also no access to hotel from lot so carry all of your luggage to the lobby.
Usually high priced, but got a good deal this time through a third party. We got a king one bedroom suite, I just wish they had a kitchenette rather than a mini fridge and mini micro. Their elevators are fast and very nice. Housekeeping came to clean the room the day after I checked in (while in the room), which I thought was weird since they don’t come until you leave, and also since their pool is not open. Had their pool been open, I would give 5 stars.
Would have been a better deal staying at one of the more affordable hotels. The beds here were bad. Felt like a spring mattress. Parking is an extra $25/night somewhere in the small, fine print. The garage isnt attached to the building and almost all the spots are compact only. Very cramped parking and potential to be a long walk back to the hotel. Wifi is only free if you sign up for their rewards program. Not a big deal, but annoying gate to pass through for what should be a basic service. We did like the big, made-to-order omelettes at breakfast and the nachos and snacks during happy hour in the afternoon.
I loved this hotel, all the staff was very nice, our hotel room was clean and so comfortable. We are a family of four and we stayed for 5 nights. This hotel is family friendly, we took the kids swimming in the indoor pool, they kids enjoyed the snacks in the evening, the breakfast was great. You are only about 15 minutes away from Newport Beach. I had one minor issue with parking and Gladys helped us and was so friendly, she truly saved our trip, I will stay there again. Thank you to Embassy Suites Irvine for our family vacation, you made our trip wonderful.
I really enjoyed my stay there. We chose that hotel on our road trip to Disneyland because it was a close enough but not right in the middle of the madness. They offered the layout of rooms on their website, which is great. Room, bedding, toilet, shower were clean! The free breakfast buffet is a plus!!! The indoor swimming pool and hot tub are also quite welcomed!!! Well be staying there again!
Really fun stay! Absolutely loved it. Will definable be coming back. The breakfast was excellent and what I really loved is that the omelets are personalized. Pool was indoor (it’s HEATED) which I loved. One problem, the jacuzzi had lots of chlorine and it started burning my eyes after 5 mins or so. Loved the atmosphere and the vibe. I absolutely loved the customer service. Everyone was really helpful and was ready for any question. Thank you!
This trip was a difficult one. The hotel could not assist our company with food for a meeting, and did not make any effort in helping get food brought in. In addition, they charged me to bring in food, when the restaurant was closed and only offered coffee shop menu. Embassy suites around the country is my favorite, this one is not.
4-stars Great hotel suites with wonderful surroundings. Amazing staff and support. However, the food was, how do I put it, very bad. The muffin I had was uncooked, sausages were like biting into leather, and the empty bowls had leaves and old strawberries. Other than that, it was a great time. EDIT: There were drugs in our couch-bed.
The room was dirty. Super disappointed. I really dont understand why they dont clean the room during covid. It seems like they are just cutting corners. We found old goldfish crackers under the bed, someones make up bag that had been been left behind from the previous guest, and the air conditioner didnt work. Staff was rude and not present. We definitely wont be back.
Returning to Embassy Suites, we again had a very nice, spacious room suite. The breakfast was terrific, with a skillful omelet-maker.Housekeeping staff was excellent, and the room always seemed clean. There is now a Starbucks in the lobby...a great convenience. The parking lot seemed to be getting some renovation and some spaces were unavailable, but the hotel has an overflow lot that can accommodate lots of cars. As with many modern hotels, the digital room thermostat seemed to not function properly. A call to the front desk and the thermostat was fixed. A frustration was that one of the three elevators seems to be out of service, creating long backups waiting for an elevator. The other elevators had the strange quirk of cancelling floor requests when too many floor buttons were pressed. Since the elevators seemed to be full, of course there would be many floor requests. Hopefully, this is an easy repair as this is a popular hotel with lots of guests.
Hotel staff were very nice for the most part. The am breakfast cook was not as friendly as one would hope. He seemed to have an attitude and didnt converse. The housekeepers were very friendly. However there didnt seem to be a consistent schedule for when they clean the rooms. One day it might be around 9am, the next at 4pm. It makes it hard to work from the hotel room so I worked in the lobby, which isnt as comfortable. Room service was decent, they could use some better entrees.
Easy to get to off the freeway, near lots of shopping. Parking is expensive. Room was really clean and modern looking. Free breakfast was well done on a super busy weekend where loads of families were there. Only negative thing to say is we had to use the fold out bed and the bedding provided was an old scratchy blanket not comfortable at all. Id stay here again.
Solid stay at the Embassy Suites. The room I received was clean and comfortable. I know that they did a rehab a few years back and it seems to be holding up. The hotel is mainly for business travel so probably gets a little less wear and tear than hotels which cater to families. Only disappointment was the breakfast. I got down right at 9 am and they were already starting to clean up. The area for the omelets was already closed. Grabbed a quick plate and the food was only lukewarm. I know it was partially my fault, but most hotels usually keep things open a few extra minutes, not close things to ahead of time. Four stars for the room.
Been staying there for years. The front desk was very nice and trying to accommodate but after finding a cockroach and having to go down and get toilet paper and towels daily, the biggest problem was the air was broken in 3 rooms. (In 2nd and 3rd floor). We were moved after 2 nights of no air but they did being in a Fan. They need a major remodel. The comped our parking and 1/2 off one night but we spent 6 nights and almost 3k with no breakfast no housekeeping and no nightly snack which is fine because of Covid big air conditioning is non negotiable. They really need to do more. The gen manager needs to reach out but never did. We’ve stayed there for 15 years and this May be our last. The carpet is stained and the furniture is old. Also, I booked a corner room and never got one.
The hotel is clean. Rooms in this area are very expensive, so this one is comparable to others in the area. Nice full-service breakfast included with room. Good coffee in the room. As a woman traveling alone, love the courtyard facing rooms, felt safe there. There is a little walk to the parking garage that requires you to walk in the driveway if pulling luggage due to stairs on the sidewalk. The only issue I had was with the electronic key not working due to the batteries in the lock. Took me over an hour to get into my room.
Spacious and beautiful rooms with a long hall, small living room/ kitchen and separated bedroom with additional spaces. Two TVs per room and spacious bathroom.Happy hour with free snacks and drinks starting at 5:00 Pm.Very friendly service crew that always receive you with a big smile.I can tell, my experience was great.
The complimentary breakfast is pretty good. Especially the customer ordered omelette, big serving of bacons, and Starbucks coffee. A hearty meal to start a day! If you are a Hilton honor member, you can get 2 bottles of water as a gift! Even the hotel price is reasonable, the parking is not free! Our room doesnt have the glasses that are used for brushing teeth like other hotels do. We called the front desk and only got the paper cups!
This was the nicest hotel Ive stayed in. It is in a nice business area. Our room had a living area separate from the bedroom. Tvs in both areas, a microwave and fridge. Loved that the rooms have lighting enough to see. I hate dimly lit rooms. Very comfortable bed. Didnt check in until after the complimentary drink hours so I was disappointed I couldnt take advantage of that. Fabulous buffet breakfast in the morning. That was a highlight. Only drawback was paying to park and our tub drained extremely slow so when taking a shower the tub filled up. I would definitely stay again and would look to stay at other Embassy Suites in the future.
Love the hotel the cost the staff were great except the bar the two men older Mexican man and the bar tender were so quick to hurry us up out of there that they told me that my food was only to go and they said it was too late to order a drink and I was there 15 min. Before closing. While sitting there for my food i watch him serve drinks to some others that were walking by and they stopped to say hello he shook their hands and they proceeded to sit at bar. I asked why was I was told where closing and then he asked what I had ordered and brought it to me.
Staff was so helpful. Explained all my benefits for staying on the premium floor. Suite was well taken care of. Room service was quick and their food was delicious. They have free drink for guest from 530pm to 7pm every night at in-house bar. The buffet was bountiful. They even post the best times to go and get breakfast in the elevators. Great touch. Bead are extremely comfortable.
Room is a good size but seems some things were somewhat slapped together. An example would be the panel covering the air intake was barely hung on the wall with a couple screws poorly screwed in. We are right near the elevator, which I was concerned about, but it hasnt been an issue at all. It seems a mostly business hotel which is a good change from the very kid friendly places we have stayed before. They have an awesome evening reception with complimentary drinks and snack. Also the Breakfast! I just cant say enough about the fresh made to order omlets the ample selection of both hot and cold food offerings, possibly the best breakfast u have ever had at a hotel. And the best part is it was complimentary as well. I have paid for Breakfast many times at other hotels and it wasnt near as good. All in all we have been super satisfied!
This is a super awesome hotel in a great location really clean and awesome staff. Theyre free made-to-order breakfast is second to none compared to many hotels I have stayed at. Rooms are nice and spacious and seem to be recently the only negative I can find is that the Starbucksthe only negative I can find is that the Starbucks in the lobby isnt open to long and there is no other convenience store within the hotel or walking distance.
I loved my stay here. The hotel is clean and the staff friendly. Minor problem with shuttle one evening when too many people went out to different restaurants at same time. Usual wait about 15 minutes. The free breakfast is fantastic. The two hour cocktail hour from 5 - 7 was good but snacks were pretty basic (cheese nachos and chek mix). Lots of business people weekdays, families on weekend. Good place and restaurants nearby.
The Embassy Suites was a good experience, overall. Great customer service and friendly staff. Breakfast was amazing and free selected alcohol during happy hour! Cant beat that. My family loved the stay. Most convenient things for me was the Starbucks located in the lobby and the gym was open 24-hours!
Room and amenities were great! Room felt clean and well taken care of. The missing 5th star is due to the free breakfast in the morning. Food was great and abundant, however the seating situation was a bit much. I felt very overwhelmed with all the people pushing and shoving to get their bacon and sausage, and it was a bit of a bummer to start my day off like that. I do, however, feel conflicted about complaining over a completely free, complementary service. Especially seeing as the staff opened up one of the conference rooms for dining to accommodate us, which I thought was great service. If there was a 1/2 star option, this place would easily be a 4.5 in my book.
Avoid room 805! Or you will be getting the worst experience in a hotel that should be luxurious one! Room is so small everything put on wrong , bed , tv, setting area, the worst thing is the AC, super super loud, they put ice machine outside the door which also made super loud noise, food is horrible pasta was uncooked, chicken was taste yaks, we left the hotel after 3 hours of checking 4pm in 7 pm out! What a big disappointment for us, they said on my reservation parking on site but never say it’s for a charge!! At the hotel they say $20 per room but they charged $30!!! Very big disappointed experience. What really made me upset the manger, he listen to your notes as (ah ya I know what you say, but what I can do! Nothing, here is a free of charge bottle of water and get the.. out of my face) , I lost my faith in Hilton because of this recent experience.
Very friendly staff, and clean comfortable rooms and common areas. I appreciate the cook to order breakfast and the POG on the drink bar, as well as the Managers happy hour each night at 5:30. There is a Starbucks in the lobby too. Parking is a bit steep at $20 a day and is controlled by the room key. Definitely a great place to stay when in town.
My room is incredibly clean and quite. I love the complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. The staff is amazing in making sure you have anything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. The free drinks amd breakfast / wifi are just additional perks. I will definitely be coming back to this hotel if Im ever back in the area. Yes, there is a fitness center and a pool.
We have stayed at this hotel for the past 12+ years and the past few times have been horrible. Our most recent stay (7/5-7/11 just last week) was the worst service we have ever received. We had three rooms for the week, two of which had broken AC and a cockroach infestation. SICK! I was pulling a Kleenex out of the box and out came a giant cockroach, I don’t even want to know how long it was in there. When telling the front desk about the cockroach problem, the lady told us that she has them in her office too but they don’t bother her. It seemed to be one thing after the next and we won’t be back.
Location was very good, convenient from the freeway and Irvine. Staff was friendly at sign in, and they have happy hour with free appetizers, beer and soda. Also free hot breakfast. Quality of food is just okay, but what can you expect for free??? Room was clean and decent, definitely worth the price.
The hotel as a property is nice, in a great location. Easy access to beach, freeway and shops. Couple challenges if you are not part of a family beware the remainder of the hotel likely will be. It’s packed with families. Breakfast time I believe the entire hotel is downstairs, seating becomes very hard if impossible. People where using planters as a table. Disneyland has breakfast better organized. I am guessing the kitchen is overwhelmed since plastic utensils are used with plastic and paper cups. Want an omelet be prepared to wait 15-20 min in line for one. The front desk is only there to do the bare min nothing extra don’t ask they will only transfer you to someone else or ignore you all together. Housekeeping they where extremely friendly always a help. A++ for that Dept. This is definitely not a Hilton property we will try on our next visit to the area. Our favorite thing of the property is the layout of the rooms.
I booked for at least a week on this Hotel. The first 3 days I spent. The ventilation or the air conditioner was not working right. It sometimes blew hot air . I could hear the noise of the air conditioner inside my bathroom. The room number is 307.Not only that the wifi is not working too. The front desk lady was rude in a way she told me that the hotel is for business not for family. If I were to ask if I want to book again. Maybe not. BTW the parking cost $20/day .
Great hotel and staff! And I love that Starbucks is located in the hotel! Breakfast is served from 6am - 9am and they have an Omelet bar! Breakfast is free! My suite was beautiful, clean and very spacious! I would definitely recommend this hotel! And would stay here if I travel back to Irvine, CA again!
Great recently updated property with everything you would expect from an Embassy Suites and more. Adding to the awesome managers reception and cooked to order breakfast is the includion of a Starbucks in the lobby. Very convenient for those quick mornings on the go. I highly recommend this property.
I forgot to bring toothpaste and when I asked the front desk of they had some. They did! And they gladly gave it to me. So kind and accommodating!! Bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. It was a short overnight stay, and it was so nice to have such a great place to stay. Thank you!
The room temperature was perfect. The refrigerator ice box needs to be defrosted. The TV doesnt have a TV guide and the channel delay when you change the channel is around 3 seconds. Im used to it being immediate. Room service was very nice. Shower was good. Noxema was a good choice. Nobe of the windows open which would have been nice. I did not use any amenities.
Had a great stay here! I really appreciated the complimentary breakfast and it was quite delicious! Beautiful atrium with fish tank, greenery and waterfall. There is a Starbucks inside (thank God)! Also housekeeping kept our room very clean and was so respectful of our things. I have a 1 yr old and her toys would always be scattered. Housekeeping would place them all together and would put her Minnie Mouse either in her crib or sit her on the pillows of the bed. We really appreciated that small special touch
Very nice hotel where every room is suite, so you get a very spacious room. The hotel is very clean and modern - it even has a Starbucks located inside. They have a complimentary reception every evening that includes appetizers and drinks, which is a must after a long day. There is also cooked to order breakfast that is usually very good, but this recent visit had burnt bacon and sausage.
Gorgeous hotel! Professional, courteous, knowledgeable staff Ive always loved the set up of the room doors on the inside it is just really cool lol The employee Named Matt who checked us in let us know from I believe 5-7pm they have free drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic and snacks! I really am impressed! The rooms are large and comfortable.
As soon as I came into the hotel and ready to check in Daniel the person working the front desk had this horrible attitude. Didn’t welcome me as I came in. Had this really sour face and first words to come from his mouth “ do you have reservation “ can I see your ID” we charge $30 extra for parking. I went on to say I don’t want to pay extra fees that I wasn’t aware of. Of course the attitude got worse to the point that I didn’t want to stay there anymore. Me and my family have loved staying at Hilton hotels and never had a problem. I guess this could just be one of those rare instances of a horrible employee, But I definitely will never spend my money at this establishment that doesn’t care about the customer.
Decent breakfast, good dinner and decent WiFi. Wish there was more reliable shuttle service.I like staying here and it is my preference every time I come to Irvine. While the building over the years does not seem to age well there have been major improvements with the WiFi and the food. Make sure you are not here when kids groups are here as there is no escaping the noise they make at the restaurant, no matter what floor or room you are on.
Great location. Kinda expensive since ALL amenities are closed. Could maybe not charge $30 for parking since everything the patrons may use or enjoy are closed...but....thats whatcha gotta do i guess in O.C. Very friendly staff though. The rooms were very clean and nice. Will be back.
Spacious rooms with great views of the hills on the North side. Managers special at happy hour has well drinks, beer and wine alongside a snack buffet. The free breakfast is nice. Workout room is good for cardio and core. Hot tub and pool are sized for a few families and it joins to an outdoor lounge.
The room is fantastic! It is very spacious and so is the restroom. The bed is comfortable and the service is great! I just wish they offered 24/7 room service. I arrived after 11 pm from the airport and there was no food available for purchase within the hotel, outside of candy at the front desk.
Most of the amenities are non existence, which is un-characteristic of anEmbassy Suite Hotel, (Hilton)!!! Yes I understand about the Pandemic andthe effect is has on the hospitality industry, as a result of hardly any amenities, the rates should reflect as such with some sort of reduced rate...
The room we stayed in was nice, but this was because they didnt have the room I booked and they were forced to upgrade us. Lots of kids this weekend as there was a volleyball competition. Parking was jammed up with huge SUVs everywhere. The pool is really small. The free breakfast was ok. What makes it a four star rating from me is that it was inexpensive with the app I used and basically was upgraded interiors and clean.
A cut above other Embassy Suites. The staff is friendly and professional. We had a minor matter come up during our stay. The general manager went out of his way and took a personal interest to make sure we were completely satisfied. This is service at the highest level. I will be back again and highly recommend this hotel during your next stay in Orange County.
I was hosted here recently on a trip to check out family travel in Orange County and this was such a lovely hotel. I really appreciated details like the multiple charging outlets in my room and on my bedside table. My room was clean and very comfortable and having a small fridge and microwave was handy too. I liked how convenient this location was to many of the sites I was visiting in Orange County and I can see why this is a great hotel for families.
Everything about our stay was fantastic. They have the best breakfast in the mornings. Indoor pool is small, kids enjoyed it. Parking wasnt all that great. Not a lot of parking offered. When we came back from Disney one night there were no spaces available. Other than the parking, I would certainly stay here again.
Recently remodeled and was nice overall. Staff were all great. Rooms were good too. Pillows and bed were not impressive and mildy uncomfortable. This is pretty specific but the toilet paper was awful. Do your business elsewhere or pay some consequences. The restaurant at the hotel vibrante was outstanding. I would go back to just have drinks and food there.
This is the second time we stayed. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly and courteous. The only problem which was kind of gross and not very welcoming was the newly reopened pool. The drains on the side of the pool didnt really drain water so there was standing water all around the pool with hair, hair ties, and other misc stuff floating around in it. The hot tub was closed but had a bunch of dirt in the bottom, it was open the previous night. They keep the pool area ambient temp at a chilly 72 where the a/c vents are blowing down on the pool, its unpleasant, and chilly. Was more cold swimming inside than I have ever been before, couldnt stand it to long. Who goes swimming when its 72 outside? Same thing should be considered inside.
Front desk personnel lacks empathy. On 10/19 hotel would not refund my money.Thank goodness for Hilton Corporate. Just received my refund in the mail.Honors member since 2011. Current member status, diamond.I do not recommend this hotel and will never stay here again.
Good hotel overall. Room was clean and the complimentary happy hour and breakfast are good amenities. Any noise in the lower main area carries up to the rooms, not ideal when needing to get up early. Was on 7th floor and it sounded like people were right outside door at times.
Loved staying at this hotel! Rooms are excellent. Service very good. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Wish the business center was somewhere private instead of in the middle of the atrium lobby. Some of the guest service agents were not attentive. Thats why this a four instead five star.
Sadly nothing here is open for use. You dont Not the pool, gym, evening reception or hot breakfast and yet they still charge full price. They dont let you know details on the website or when calling to book. They wait until your at your destination standing there. I would say save your money until you can get your full worth.
This is a plain and simple Embassy Suites hotel. Ive stayed here a lot over the last four years as my daughter attends UCI. It is clean, quiet and the staff are friendly. Ive never had a problem at this hotel, my room was always ready on arrival and the breakfast buffet is good. The rooms are reasonably priced for the area too. Ive never eaten or had drinks at the pub. I dont particularly like paying for parking but that seems to be the way of the world now.
Last year this hotel was awful with the remodel and everything was a mess. Now it is done. It looks great and the restaurant is great as well. Theres a few flaws here and there but thats normal. The breakfast is awesome. The manager special is fantastic. Will be a permanent hotel while on business here for John Wayne airport.
Great rooms for a fair price. Complimentary breakfast/happy hour was wonderdul. $7 more for a king suite was worth it. Will be staying here for 3 weeks and in a training environment so have been getting feedback from the 16 other members of my group and this place is the best!
On first glance the hotel looked pretty nice, the staff was VERY VERY kind....but then....room had very obviously been barely cleaned (including a questionable pillowcase) but honestly I had been flying for hours and just wanted sleep so I passed out...the next morning I awoke to find a BED BUG. So grossed out I hightailed it out of there as quickly as possible. Now safety back at home and terrified I brought bed bugs with me. So gross.
Rooms clean, beds are soft. Air conditioning was not working and they did not show up until midnight. It was hot as hell. The tub backed up and had to hold the drain plug to drain the water. We were with a group of 13 and 5 of the rooms had the same problems. They have happy hour and a nacho bar. You have to pay for parking and wifi. Its 20 dollars a day for parking and 7 a day for wifi.
I had booked my stay through Hilton over 2 weeks before arriving. Arrived at the front desk after a long day to check in. They had my reservation, but I was told there were no rooms available for me. This was confusing to the clerk. He said they must have given my room to a Gold or Diamond member. I let him know that I am a Diamond member (as I am, I travel for work). He had no explanation as to why I had lost my room, but he told me to go to Atrium Hotel a few blocks away.Arrived at Atrium hotel, I received a room, but the hotel was very sub-par and not at all up to Hilton standards. Stairways smelled strongly of urine, hallways smelled like old food and a sickly sweet smell, bath tub didnt drain, low water pressure...certainly not the Embassy Suites I was expecting that night. The clerk at Embassy Suites acted as if he had no idea why we didnt have a room, but when we got to Atrium, there was at least one other couple we met in the same situation, sounded like there were others as well.Long story short - 1 star review because they gave away my room and didnt know why.
Do not stay here! We love staying at Embassy Suites all over the country. We love their spacious rooms, happy hour and breakfasts. Unfortunately we booked a room at this hotel for the first time and have had an absolutely negative experience. We actually booked first at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana and left because there was no notice on any site that the hotel was undergoing construction. I could smell cement dust in the air and did not find it healthy for my kids. The toilet was clogged and overall it was not a good experience like the many other Embassy Suites weve stayed at. We went through the inconvenience of packing up our stuff and kids back in the car and switched to this Embassy Suites. I explained to Gabriel at the front desk at this hotel what we had just gone through and he told us the room they had for us was one of the studios - it is extremely tiny. I told him that we had our two kids and it would be difficult to accommodate 4 people into a room with a DOUBLE bed. It might be a queen but it feels like a double! He did not care! He said he would upgrade us for a fee. Parking is already $18! What he offered to upgrade us for was more $ than what the going rate was online for the larger rooms. It just showed he did not care at all about customer service. He was so arrogant. We decided to stick it out, hoping the room he gave us would be ok but nope! With my experience with hotels I am certain this is a fire hazard. We are cramped up in a room with 2 cribs and one tiny bed. I am starting to believe Embassy Suites has gone downhill! Why does EMBASSY SUITES have a STUDIO room anyway?? As far as I know, a studio has a sofa and kitchenette. This room doesnt even have that! Its smaller than a Motel 6! I will definitely never stay here again.

2022-03-16I really enjoyed this hotel. The breakfast was amazing, the restaurant was nice, rooms were clean. They only provided 3 towels for a room that sleeps 4, the sofa bed wasnt very comfortable and no pillows for the sofa sleeper. The front desk was able to provide those items but, when youre tired from traveling all day, it would have been nice if they were already in the room. Overall, I would stay there again without hesitation. The staff was helpful and accommodating as well.

2022-05-06Very convenient next to SNA John Wayne airport. They have shuttle service until 10:30 for this airport. Unique interior that is clean and the breakfast in the mornings is way better than your average breakfast. There is a chef who makes great custom omelets, eggs however you want them, and bacon! The rooms are great and feel like a little apartment. It was really nice because while I was at training my wife could stay there all day and have a good time.

2022-01-03Parking is not ideal, and is expensive. There isnt direct access into the hotel from the parking structure, no elevators to go from the garage to your floor. You have to exit the structure and walk to the hotel. When traveling with small children and luggage, its much more convenient to have elevator access or for parking to be connected to the hotel. I have no complaints about the actual room. Staff was friendly and responsive. Easy access to everywhere we wanted to go and room rates are very reasonable.

2022-04-25Just read the other reviews. The owner of this business clearly has no customer service experience or just doesn’t value their customers. Your evidence is a house maid who entered the room with a do not disturb sign on the door and claimed they smelled smoke. I just stayed at another embassy suites in Pittsburgh, Pa since yours and asked them their policies on smoking and going through guests belongings and they told me an 1. alarm will activate if it detects smoke. 2. They will come to the room and give a warning unless theres visible signs of smoking then a few will be applied.None of which happened.I travel a lot for work and usually rent two rooms at a time. Our 6 night stay started out great with an early check in and happy hour vouchers for drinks. Breakfast was okay definitely not the usual embassy suites style and the pool was closed the whole time. After check out is where things went awful. The final invoice is emailed to me and I notice a smoking fee. I was never made aware of this or confronted and we did not smoke. I call and spoke to Jacqueline M the front office manager and expressed my disappointment with this charge. She sent me an email of a picture of two unopened packs of marijuana that were in my helps drawer!(my help has a medical card) is this a standard practice to go through your guests belongings? She became very rude and told me the charge will not be coming off. I stay exclusively with Embassy because I enjoy the amenities and customer service. I usually spend about 30-50 nights a year and said I can take my business elsewhere if this issue isn’t resolved. Jacqueline said the charge will not be coming off, if I feel the need to take my business elsewhere go for it and I’m not allowed to talk to anyone else. So needless to stay Jacqueline is why I’m leaving a one star review.

2022-04-26My first time staying here. I was staying for wedding. Hotel needs some attention. Carpets are dirty and looks old. My room was not Cleaned for 3 days and I stayed for 3 nights. Rooms are spacious and big. Others than that totally isolated. Not a big fan. Won’t stay here next time.

2022-01-09We stayed here for two nights we were expecting something better based on embassy suites reputation. room was nice but furniture was outdated old and stained you could see the stains on the old armchair and couches as well as the window curtains and carpet stains everywhere. There is no cleaning of the room unless you stay 4 or more days or by requesting cleaning for an additional fees because of pandemic also spect to pay for parking at $30 per overnight parking. Breakfast is included with your room price but again breakfast items are so limited to very few items.

2021-11-09We were here over the weekend and it was a really nice stay! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was SO quiet. I expected to hear a bit of airplane noise and hallway noise, but the rooms are surprisingly soundproof. I signed up on the Hilton Honors app and you can check in and pick your room online. You also get a nice breakfast in the morning and a free drink at the bar in the evening. The lobby is spacious with lots of seating and theres a Starbucks on site as well. The front desk staff are really nice too. My only complaint is that the parking fee is $30 per day, but other than that it was a really good experience!

2022-01-08Front desk staff will treat you like a number. Right now coupon is affecting their staffing and breakfast in the morning is chaotic. The hotel is laid out very nicely and has beautiful elevators and lobby area with waterfall fountain. Bar is open nightly for a short period of time. No dinner options. $30 parking charge! Again this is not a resort, not looking it on the water, just in a business park.

2022-05-24It is very close to John Wayne Airport (SNA) and it has airport shuttle running every 30 minutes or so. 5 to 6:30 PM is Happy Hour (or Happy One and Half Hour?) Two free drinks and free chips and light refreshment. Clean room. Nice staff. Overall, very nice place to relax after work.

2022-03-06Two more nights here at this hotel!! I’ve always been an Embassy Suite fan. Not anymore. First we inquired about the evening social gathering. Not available, only for Hilton Honors member, which we are but I didn’t book it that way. So even though we told the front desk we were they wouldn’t give us the access. Then I called the front desk regarding HBO, “we don’t offer that anymore “. Now today, I requested clean towels and garbage removal. I had to call the front desk they told put garbage and towels outside the door. Told her we were leaving our room now. Why do I put them outside the door when they have to walk-in and leave our towels. All of this and yes $30 a day to park!I understand COVID is part of decisions, but first I’m paying the same price, and look around the hotel at breakfast lots of people gathering.
