More than two hours to complete an oil change with an appointment is not acceptable. It didn’t appear that it was busy or crowded when I was there. More service advisers than customers. If I walked in without an appointment I wouldn’t expect to wait that long, but perhaps more accepting. It isn’t worth my time to go to the dealer for this service anymore. I was a believer that the service quality was worth the extra price, but with the lack of “express” service with an appointment simply isn’t worth it.
My original quote was around $400 and somehow I ended up paying $800. I’m a returning customer and would wish that they would try to cut down costs and stop trying to add on services. Being a good person is better than trying to meet your quotas for the day. I also asked for my parts and they never gave them to me. I just feel that’s super shady
Great visit I was there a while to get my rear brakes changed too. They offered a Lyft to take me home and back however, I didn’t mind staying. Ronald took care of my and informed me on a bundle that would cover my next three 10k and 5k services for only $309. I for sure took the deal! Thank you Ronald for being polite and informative. All around great dealership. I enjoy being a loyal Toyota member at Elk Grove!
When I got there I was told it would take about 2 hours, but no longer than 2 hours. I said okay and I would wait there for my car. I sat there and I sat there, and I sat there some more. After 4 and 1/2 hours had gone by I talked to everybody in the whole place wondering where my car was. Then I seen it and it was out front parked. So i ask can I have my car? They said No i needed wait for the paperwork, and I waited and waited and waited. they need another way to process cars once complete. Figure out another way so its when the cars are done, then you get your car right away. What happened was my key / paperwork got put all the way to the bottom of the stack of papers to process, and they just kept piling keys on top so thats why I had to wait there that long. Thats mostly due to the fact that their processing department are flirting with each other and cant keep up. Mind u it takes 5 minutes 2 process papers & 15 minutes 2 change the oil. Are you kidding me? I had things to do that day, i have children, and then they still charged me. I had to wait there over 5 hours for my car. Which is ridiculous and I had other stuff to do and they didnt even seem to be apologetic about it. 3 1/2 hrs extra time beyond the 2 hrs & i still had to pay. I doubt ill be going back.
I scheduled a 30k service but I received a 10k service when my wife brought me back the paperwork. Also I was to get the complimentary car was and didn’t get that either. The last time I took my car there was 2019 and I had to remind them then about the complimentary cars wash. The new building is very nice but the service needs to improve. Too many points of contact giving conflicting information to the customer. One guy told my wife that all of my tires need changing then when another guy calls me and tell me only my two front tires should be changed. The infrastructure needs work.
I had a flat on the highway 99 and I used emergency roadside to get me going. I drove very carefully to see my guy at Toyota Nick Kersten and he was available to fix it right then and there , but they didn’t have my tire in stock. He ordered it and was in first thing the next morning and I drove back for it to be put on and I was off again. I even got a cat wash out of it. Love the service and friendliness I always get there.
I am customer since long time ago , when ever I have Toyota car , I am taking to Elk Grove Toyota, I don’t have any issue with Elk Grove Toyota at that timeBut Today 11/22/2021 I went to Elk Grove ToyotaIn the morning around 6:40 , The putted walk in sticker on my dashboard, I waited them for more than 30 minutes in front , no body in front of me but they told me to move over and they taking cars behind me for service but no body talked to me, They didn’t told me even the reasons why they doing that, Again the told to move my car . I am very disappointed today! After I waited 45 minutes I ended up come to home with no service, and no body even talked to me!!This my worst experience in Toyota !
Came in for brake system repair, and shop ended up popping one tire. Service writer claimed it was not their fault because they deemed tire was old and it “just popped” while they where working on brake system. Service writer tried to cover for incident stating they never drove the car anywhere and we would have to Pay for new tire. Lies after lies…eventually tire was replaced without charge. Next time please be professional and transparent and just don’t lie and try to cover up similar incident
The wait was a bit longer than expected especially since I had an appointment. My service person was not the friendliest or informative. Cash counter person was nice and friendly but I stood there waiting a bit before they noticed I was standing there to ask me what I needed. I wanted to go out to my car to see if I had a coupon and asked for my key, must be company policy but she had someone escort me out to make sure I didn’t drive off without paying for the $95 bill. I have only taken my car to Toyota for service—I’m a very loyal customer since 2011...so I was taken aback by that. But I get it if it’s policy. Had to have my husband ask the service guy that helped us explain some of the things on the car report that came back—felt like it should have been provided without having to ask...especially since there were some replacements of bulbs and some additional findings.
Oil change takes 2-3 hours of your day, regardless if you have an appointment scheduled. I was told they have young employees doing oil changes, that tend to call in sick for work causing the wait to be 2-3 hours.Even at the previous Toyota dealership the lines were always way to long, even if you arrived before they opened to take place in line. They used regular oil on back to back oil changes when synthetic oil was documented for my vehicle. Oil was left on my cream color interior of my Lexus LS 460 on several occasions, which I pointed out each time. I don’t understand how they have such a large beautiful maintenance shop, with so many customers waiting on oil changes, yet for years now they haven’t made it priority to get the cars in and out in a reasonably timely manner. Most people are pressed for time in are daily lives, an oil change really is dreadful to know you need it, but you will waste your whole morning to get it done. I really hope upper management understands how frustrating it is to the customer to have to wait for something that should done in 40 min or less. It’s an oil change, not a tune-up. I only take it there because I feel since it’s lexus, they will be familiar with the car. Toyota please open more oil change bays for you customers, make it a priority to get them in and out fast without losing quality work. Hold the employees accountable for their time to get the car done, if they need help, accommodate by putting two employees on a car, three if needed.Get the supervisors in there during crunch time to help tow the line, your only as strong as your weakest link. Let’s get it together Toyota.Warm Regards,Customer,Eric~
Unnecessary extended wait time for your vehicle. Toyota advertises express oil change in about or less than 1 hour. I scheduled and arrived timely with my 3 month old baby, but I was told that it’ll be up to 1.5 hour wait time. I waited for the oils change and when I saw my truck pull out of the service area and went for a. Car wash, I figured it was done. Then my truck was parked in the back. I waited and waited…. 20 mins later I decided to ask one for the employee (female / did not get her name) if someone would be calling me to let me know my act was done and my truck had been sitting back there, all done for the past 20 mins and no one called me yet. She continued to say that someone will calm for me once they receive my paperwork. Another associate, name Ping overheard me and was very nice to approach me and asked for my vehicle info and name and took care of me so I can get out of there. I would have given a 1 rating if Ping had not stepped up and helped me.Note: don’t get fooled with an appt thinking it’s fast service. It was a total 2 hour wait time for an express oil change with an appt. could’ve been longer if I had not spoken up.
Absolutely horrible treatment. Calls not returned for two weeks. Not truthful about when my Rave4 would be done. Wrong part ordered making me wait another day. Had to call Service manager. Hopefully will not have to return there again.Since this review, the Toyota dealership as reach out to me and has resolved within their service department solutions to the treatment and service that I was given. I truly appreciate that they did this to make thing better for other customers. Thank you!
Andy was disrespectful and unprofessional. I brought in my car because there was a safety recall on the fuel pump. I was curious and asked him if there was any type of offers because of the inconvenience (I explained that I know 2 people with other car companies that received offers when their cars had a recall on it).I mean I don’t work that Toyota nor am I familiar with dealer operations and procedures so I’m ignorant and was looking for an answer. He automatically replies with a tone of attitude like I offended him by asking the question (passive aggressive). “Yeah that’s why we are fixing it now for free” (not exact wording). So I said no I mean something else (obviously you are fixing It now, you have to, it’s a recall!!) so he said like what, he waged an example. So I told him a friend of mine was given a rebate. To which he laughed and said “oh money no we’re not gonna give you money”The worst part: he walks to the printer 10ft left of his desk and as he is grabbing papers Aya as to his colleagues “do you hear this dude he’s asking for money” at that point I was furious and. As he was walking back I raised my voice and said so everyone can hear me like they heard him “I’m not asking for money I’m asking for clarification, I’m asking if you offer led something”Now for arguments sake let’s say I walked in there and asked him if I can receive $10,000 for the inconvenience of the recall etc… that is still no reason to try and embarrass a customer or being something up to colleagues while you are still working with them. Take time and be compassionate and understanding with your answers, not defensive. He acted like it was personal.Everyone else I interacted with that day was amazing but very brief. Andy set my day back.
I have been a regular customer of Elk Grove Toyota since 2010. I always have my lube change with Elk Grove Toyota. Recently, I brought my 2021 Toyota Venza for its 9th miles plus lit light on the TMP. I am pleased to have my service without any appointment. My service supervisor is very accommodating and assisted me with all my questions regarding the vehicle. As soon as the service over, I received my text message from the service mechanic and customer supervisor. The service was finished as promised. I do not mind the long wait caused they have a wonderful reception area. I had a free car wash as requested. Thanks to Toyota Elk Grove, keep up with the good work!
I had an appointment early in the morning the sales reps were very rude at the start of the day. Before I got a chance to get out of the car they toldme my tires were worn i said ok and got new tires. Few hours later a call came in saying leaks in a couple of places but to ignore it; i don’t think so. i insisted I had a warranty and they declined to use it insisting that it expired. long story short I spend almost 1,000 on other things just to still have to return in the near future about the leaks. idk it could’ve been prevented. very unprofessional
Very professional and beautiful facility with plenty of seating area. Service was performed on time with less than an hour. First time at this dealership as I used to go to Maita Toyota on Auburn Blvd. Will never return to the dealership on Auburn... there is absolutely no comparison between Elk Grove Toyota and Maita Toyota - it’s like day and night.
Went in because I was due for an oil change and they told me I didnt need one so it wasnt necessary but my car was well past 5k miles since my last oil change and the only other thing I needed was a batter replacement for my key fob and they easily did that for me. Still in need of an oil change but most let wont go back to them.
Before remodeling service department it was best Toyota Service. But now it worse. After Car wash, car has water stains, prices for service now increased, no appointment available for afternoon, walk in not available to. If you work on morning hours, you don’t have chance have service. Looks like service building is big, but just two technical working on.
The service rep lied about a discount being available. He said that I received the discount plus tax. No way. The amount lost was small, maybe about $7, but it is the principle. The least enthusiastic service rep I have ever experienced at Elk Grove Toyota. Definitely bored with his job. Maybe just having a low energy day.
Initial complaint 1) AC not blowing cold air; 2) Reg mntenance- lube/oil; 3)1Tire irreparable that needs to go.So far AC blowing cold air. Hopefully lube/oil was done & 1 new tire. What irritated me was when Service consultant started calling me “Dear”. Grrrr, irritating, annoying! I was going to tell him to STOP calling me dear but I’ll be leaving my car in his care for repair so I didn’t say anything. To managemt advise your people to refrain from addressing people stupid names like that it’s UNPROFESSIONAL, INAPPROPRIATE and IRRITATING
I brought my 2018 Camry in there during the summer of 2020 regarding a loud ticking/clicking noise from the engine. The service person initial response was that it was known to happen on the V6 model and they have a fix. Its a known issue, but he wasnt aware about it happening on the 4 cylinder. He did say he hears it though. After the service was done, they said they dont know what it is, and the fix for the V6 is not applicable for the 4 cylinder. That was his only comment. No resolution, no fix, no investigation. Just we dont know. Now the sound is getting louder during all driving conditions, with the engine warm or cold. It doesnt matter. I have an appointment on April 10th, 2021. Lets see what they say. For a rep to say that they hear the noise but dont know what it is, as their only response with no plan of resolution is ridiculous.
Quick and great customer service. It can get busy so make an appointment for service. Was 8th in line when I arrived and was out of the shop to drop off the car in less than 15 minutes. Didnt try to push unnecessary repairs. Understood when I had to choose which necessary repairs to do at that moment and which repairs to delay due to budget. I had Mark as a service advisor and he was great, thank you.
Amazing customer service and very prompt. Every employee was very communicative. The only thing I noticed while waiting for someone to come take my keys etc. There were 2 employees out there talking very loud and using some not very professional language. Now that doesnt scare me but I had young ears and its not the language to use at work or in front of customers
A few years ago my wife got in an accident got her car fix here. A few months ago we had some problems with them sensors. Call the shop they got in touch with them insurance company got it fixed through a dealership where we now live. Adam and the crew went out of their way to help us.
Awesome experience. I dropped off my car before they were closing for an oil change & they were super busy but still helped me out. Rental car was affordable and Cindy was awesome! She went above and beyond my expectations after business hours to make sure I was well taken care of.
Three stars mean its okay. My consultant was so-so. I would have chosen another person. My appointment lasted 30 minutes with no resolution, but it was probably on my end. It still is driving me nuts. I came to seek professional help but those standards were not met in terms of presentation. I dont see credibility in Elk Grove Toyota nor how their customer service pars with their big sign that says theyre #1. 3 stars for acknowledging my appointment and fairly nice.
ROBERT R. IS THE ONE IN CHARGE OF MY CAR AND HE’S DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO UPDATE CUSTOMERS. I WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK UP MY CAR ON JUNE 2ND BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT IT SAYS ON THEIR E-MAIL AND IT’S JUNE 7TH NOW. HAD TO CALL HIM ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY ARE DELAYING MY PICK UP DATE EVEN MORE. THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO KEEP PROMISE DATES, AND TO UPDATE CUSTOMERS FOR DELAYS. I SHOULD HAVE BELIEVED THE REVIEWS HERE.
3 rd time they did not put proper air in my tires light on dash came on 1st time had to drive back to shop to tell them took 45 minutes to figure out proper weight was on door took down the spare tire what a mess David was manager 2nd time same thing happen this time wait time wa another 20 minutes I checked light before I left told David put it in the computer so you know 3rdtime same thing light was on I was furious another 25 minutes this time I talked to victor service manager he argued with me an told me that 33 lbs was the proper weight I told him no 46 lbs on my bf Goodrich tires told him it’s on the door went back into garage with me and sure enough it’s on the door never apologize to me he looked confused I have high blood pressure every time I go in there just to get my oil change an tires rotated sad
I will until I no longer own a Toyota use the elk grove dealership as my go to for maintenance! Express maintenance has always taken care of me during the duration of my business here. Special thanks to Ronald for walking me through the process, keeping me updated, and checking me out.
Had to bring my Prius in since I bought it salvaged from an individual. Toyota of elk Grove was able to fix all the odds and ends of what was missing and/or broken at a reasonable price. It was done in a timely manner and I would now refer my mother in law to have her RAV 4 serviced there. Reasonable prices. Quick turnaround. Great service!
I have a new Tundra and the windshield wiper fluid stopped dispensing. I called to have it looked at since there is less than 2K miles on the truck. I was told that they dont like taking vehicles after 10:30 am. I finally got them to agree to take it at noon, but I was told it would need to stay until 7 pm. I offered to bring the truck back on a different day for the actual repair, but they shouldnt need it for so long just to determine the issue. After it was explained to me Well sir we need the truck to determine what the problem is. (which is a ridiculously condescending way to speak to a customer, obviously they need the truck, the issue is needing it for 7 hours) I decided to try and find a different dealership to help me. This customer service is pretty bad, I wish I looked into the service levels of the dealerships nearby before I decided to purchase a Tundra. This will change my purchasing habits going forward.
Checked in at 9:34 am for oil change, and got it done at 12:44, 3 hours later for oil change. A gentlement, Joel Garcia, a manager there told me that: If I do not have an appointment, I am at mercy of Toyota (Quoted exactly his words). Very offending attitude of a Toyota manager toward a customer!!!

2022-02-05Lately the service here has been nitroscuous. Get there early in the morning,, even the first one there, and still had to wait over an hour before an advisor would come out. Then told that it would be a minimum of a two hour wait, and may be best to leave car there all day. Its not like I have other things to do either. Only one advisor there first thing, but plenty of service techs standing around waiting to get started. Definitely a manpower issue, or poor scheduling of resources. Then the audacity of stamping my invoice saying mu car was done under an hour. I would like to know what clock they were working from, I was there for 3 hours.

2022-02-22Service is no good.Oil change takes two or more hours .I saw one employee took my driver car mat and threw it in my trunk. My a/c was on full blast and I don t appreciate these employees.Needs better trained employees that are suppose to be professionals. I own a toyota and never will service it there again.Toyota sends me letters about my regular maintenance but I discard all of it. I will do it myself and take it to other shops.

2020-07-21Their new maintenance service section is very nice with phone recharging stations available in case you didnt have one. How cool is this? Staff are professional and courteous. Mask is required when entering the service area! Thank you for practicing safety to customers n staff.

2021-12-30Thank you to Nick and his crew for taking such great care of me and my car. It was a very busy day, but I still received 5 star professionalism. I can also vouch for their trustworthiness. Thank you from a loyal fcustomer!

2021-12-03Dont know whats going on with this service location as of late. Would always come in for an oil change and maybe wait 2 hours tops for it to be done. Been trying to come in for last 3 weeks and every time now its you can leave your car here and it should be done by end of day. For one i thought this was an express station. Second should be is not something a customer wants to hear. That leaves the possibility of it not even happening. Last time i came in there wasnt many cars in the area we drive into, maybe about 6 waiting. But i was still told should be able to be done by end of day. What is the point of having a new location being built for service if something as simple as an oil change only might be completed by closing time? This is not only frustrating but very disappointing as you expect better service from an actual toyota service center.

2021-08-09Generally the service crew was professional, courteous and timely. However, there was one aspect that was less than satisfactory. I had a 5k service on my new car. The inspection report that i was given verbally did not match up completely to the email report that I saw after returning home. In the email, in yellow was something about the charge level of my battery. It showed as low but not yet failed. As this car is new I found this concerning.I followed up with a call to the service folks. He basically told me it was the result of not driving the car enough. I told him the car is driven daily. This was the only explanation he could/would provide and I have to say it didnt inspire confidence and/or trust that there isnt some issue brewing with my new car.

2021-08-09I had an appointment at Elk Grove Toyota on July 6, 2021. The service representative told me that he needed to order a part and that it would be in the following week. After waiting four weeks and not receiving a phone call, I called the service center on August 4, 2021. The customer service center acknowledged that the part was in and scheduled me for a service appointment. When I went to get the service, I was quickly told there might be charge. I was surprised since I thought this was already resolved with the previous representative and the item was covered at no cost. (This was eventually resolved by manager approval.) Sadly, this (previous) representative made no records in their system. I was asked if I could identify rep that previously help me. I thought was concerning, since they should have a record. Lesson learn: always get paperwork when items are ordered and get the service representatives name. Things worsen for me after the repair work was done. I was given my key and told to get my truck in one of the parking slot (107) behind a building. When backing my truck out of the slot, I hit a pole that was behind the slot. I still do not to know understand how this happen. I am sick over this since my truck is new. I purchase it from this dealership in May. I have had an Acura and had a Lexus and normally the service center always parked my cars in an area that are allow for easily access to departing. Normally, it is in the area I dropped off the vehicle. Sadly, I slightly dented and cracked my rear bumper on the drivers side This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I do not feel like a valued customer. I do not see myself returning to Elk Grove Toyota for maintenance or future vehicle purchases.

2022-02-11The parts people are great, however I find it odd that you can buy genuine OEM TRD parts but certain Toyota dealers wont install TRD aftermarket parts. Considering some are required to be installed by a dealer or licensed technician.

2021-06-29I was greeted immediately and I didnt have an appointment. I was in and out within two hours. This was my 1st time with Toyota and I was truly impressed with the customer service. Thank you for making me feel important and caring about what my minor concern was. Everyone I came in contact with was knowledgeable and professional.

2021-08-17I am normally not one to write reviews! I just won’t go back to an establishment if it didn’t meet my standards of service!! I scheduled an appointment on August 6th, 2021 for a recall service repair at 10:20 am. Upon arrival I was greeted and was told to wait for Mark. So I patiently waited even though I had an appointment. Ten minutes passed no sign of Mark or anyone to let me know what to do next. First sign this was not going to be a fast and easy process. Finally the service advisor appears and has me come in to go over paperwork that needs to be signed. He asks if I need a ride home, which I decline because I figured I made an appointment and know it’s not going to be a fast repair and figured it would be an hour and half max. I see a couple of keys on his desk and asked how long it will take to which I got no answer. He said Ill take the car right in,go ahead and wait in the waiting area. That was the last I saw of Mark and never got updates on how long it would take. So I waited an hour and half nothing! After two hours I finally decided let me go check in with Mark and see what the delay is. No sign of Mark at the advisors desk so I asked a gentleman if he was around and his response was Mark is out to lunch. At this point I am beyond over this place. He could have given me a heads up he was going to lunch. Here I am waiting who knows what time he would be back. I then asked another service advisor if he could check on my car. He came back with my paperwork which my car was done.I asked him what they were waiting for??? He started telling me the recommendation of repairs my car needed!!! I just couldn’t believe I was waiting for recommendations. I had to stop him I didn’t want to hear no recommendations!! I just wanted my car and wanted to leave. The only reason I am giving this place two stars because the second service advisor Solomon I believe his name was took care of me quick!
