We bought our Kozy Heat fireplace insert from Econo-Air about a year ago. I wish we had gotten it sooner. We absolutely love it! And certainly would recommend them. From the initial purchase and helpful sales staff who helped us pick out our insert to the installer crew who were very professional and knowledgeable. And experts at installing the inserts. We bought a high-end AC unit from Econ-air in 2006 and its running great in 2020. We also bought a fireplace insert from Econ-air in the fall of 2019 and could not be happier.But the real issue in my mind is how we were treated, and how the service calls were done and so forth. Just today, Martin came out and did our annual AC unit service and he was respectful, he answered all my questions and was polite and very professional.Over the years Ive used other AC/heater companies for service, and they all did fine, yet Econ-air has an approach that is somehow both respectful and trustworthy and it stands out among the others.Bottomline is that I highly recommend Econo-Air when you need ac/heating and even fireplace inserts. Good people, fair pricing and excellent service!
I purchased a fireplace insert from Econo Air and I could not be happier with their service! The rebate was very helpful to reduce some of the cost but the real savings was its use. I had fought the idea of a fire place insert for years, I liked all of the sensory inputs from a authentic fire. That said, the insert is more efficient, cleaner, zero hassle and of course remote controlled. No more getting a smoke filled house, storing firewood and the mess associated with that, its simply better on all fronts. Then you have the air quality issues, I did not buy my insert for this reason! If you are on the fence about buying an insert, get off of it and the best place in town to get the insert is Econo Air. They have been in business in Bakersfield for more years than I can remember and the service was top rate!
Had my AC go out in the June heat. Contacted Econo Air and had a service technician, Jeff, out the next day to check. Part needed to be ordered but he was unsure how long it would take to get here. I contacted the service dept to get a timeframe for the part and that person was less than helpful and frankly a little rude. I contacted the company again and spoke with Gary, the owner, who was quick to respond and get the part overnighted. The part arrived on Friday and Jeff installed on Saturday. I appreciate the quick response from Gary and the great work performed by Jeff to get my AC woking again. Thank you.
Absolutely the best to work with. I would highly recommend to anyone. Love the new fireplace insert. Had new gas line and insert installed and the crew was completely professional and their cleanliness was above standard crew made sure the home was cleaner when they left after completing the project. Econo Air has given me an amazing experience through the process of replacing my entire AC system. The general manager, Greg, came to my house twice to make sure we understood our options fully. Very friendly and personable. The installers were very fast and low impact on my home. They arrived exactly when they said they would, and completed the project very fast. I recommend these guys very highly, and will be returning to them in the fall to have a fireplace insert installed.
We had a fire place insert installed. The person (Mr. Gary Summers)that we dealt with in the showroom was very knowledgeable and helpful as well as professional. Was available for whatever questions we had. The installers arrived on time and cleaned up the area before they left our home. We would recommend Econ Air to any of our family and friends.

Econo-Air was fantastic! We stopped in to find out about fireplace inserts and decided almost on the spot. They have a beautiful showroom with tons of models set up.They all are conscious of COVID and wore masks, including when they came to install.Gary was our salesperson. I cant speak highly enough of him. He helped every step of the way and goes way above and beyond making sure we were taken care of and happy with everything.Last but not least the install crew was amazing. They showed up on time and explained everything that needed to be done. Once they finished install they explained and took the time to demonstrate how to operate the insert and all the remote control features.I will be recommending them to all who need fireplace inserts!
I cannot recommend Econo Air enough!! With them, you feel like family. I called them for a second opinion when our AC Unit went out. The first company said the entire unit would need replacing (yikes!) Jeff with Econo Air came out same day, tightened the fan, recommended a cleaning, and the whole thing worked like new again! They saved us potentially thousands of dollars, saved us from the triple digit heat, and provided excellent customer service. We will never call anyone else regarding our heating and air needs. Econo Air rocks! They have remodeled fireplaces in two of our homes over the years, with the last one finished this month. The Mendota fireplace system with blower is a “Wonderful Way of Life”. You Warm up the main living spaces of your home while keeping the bedrooms a little cooler for better sleeping. We save money by using less gas in the winter.Econo Air helped us every step of the way. They have a very nice showroom and will come out to your home to do a pre-assessment to discuss which system or insert will work best for your space. Next, they gave us options on the fireplace design. We opted for a full remodel. The finished product looks absolutely gorgeous and blends in as if it was always there.Oh, and don’t forget the $3,000 rebate from the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District. Econo Air assisted with all of the rebate paper work.Thank you Econo Air for all of your Patience, Professionalism and Quality workmanship. We are super picky people and are so Very Happy with your service.
EconoAir installed a new AC/Heat American Standard Unit on our roof. Thank you Gary Flanagan,, owner. The crew, Art, Steven and Bill did a great job. They were efficient and professional. I have a split system Air Conditioner at my house, not need to say on one of the hottest day in Bakersfield summer of 2020 the air conditioner unit motor burned out.So on the next day, as soon I get off work I went thru three different shops around Bakersfield until I was referred to Econo-Air Inc.When I arrived I was instructed to see Paul at the parts department.Paul is a very knowledgeable gentlemen. (I believe that was his second day on the job... Just kidding! )He have the part that I need and was very help full giving me instructions how to wire the new motor properly. As soon I arrive at home I start the installation of the new motor which only took few minutes and It was so easy!Thank you Paul for your very detailed instructions it was a breeze! In no time I had my air conditioner up and running again.Life its good!I just want make sure I said Thanks to Paul for his friendly service and the best customer service! My new Chaska fireplace is as easy as pushing a button. No more checking for burn days, hauling in bags of pellets or getting soot on me so I can enjoy my morning coffee by a roaring fire. The folks at Econo-Air are very knowledgeable and helpful in picking out the perfect fireplace. The $3000 rebate is also quite an incentive. If you’re looking for a new fireplace, go check them out.
I had called to see if they had a blower motor I was looking for and see if they can lower the price down to match Amazon since I wanted to support local business but the person over the phone said “ Dude this is not swamp meet” and hung up before I had the chance to say anything. I was going to take it regardless but now I will buy from Amazon.Econo Airs price $220Amazons price $150I will gladly keep my extra $70 and never put up with their rude services again!
Called Econo-Air in early October to service our gas fireplace. Initial visit (10/3) seemed to go well, they cleaned the unit, did an assessment & said that the valve needed to be replaced. Technician said he would call with the price.We waited a couple of weeks, but never heard anything. Called in and were told they would get back to us, but they didnt. Finally called again, and someone admitted that they had never ordered the part. Called the following week when we (yet again) hadnt heard back from them, and they said they would send a tech out.No tech arrived during the 5-hour appointment window, so we had to call back again, only to find out that the dispatcher never put us on the schedule.So, two and a half months after the initial service, the tech finally showed up, spent 20 minutes disassembling the fireplace only to discover that he didnt have what he needed to finish the job, so he had to go back to the warehouse. Just to add insult to injury, he over-billed us for his time (he was on-site at our house for just under 2 hours, but billed us for 2.25).
I am very dissatisfied with my experience here. I was getting a fire place insert from here. I knew what I wanted and asked about size and efficiency and I was told they are a standard size and are all 80% efficiency or better. They only install units from 8am-4pm so I had to take a vacation day in order to have them install it. I was told they were going to be there from 8-12 but they called in the morning and said they were going to be there from 12-4. After they came out and set everything up the insert didnt fit. Al the sales rep was suppose to have came out and take measurements but that never happened. They told me I have to pay $400 for someone else to come out and remove some brick and raise the support then have the installers come back out to install the unit which would be two more vacation days or I can spend another $1000 for a different unit. I will not be going to this company for any further business and I advise my friends to do the same.
I would like to say Thank you for doing a Great Job on Replacing our AC. The Owner came to my House & explained & made sure Unit was properly sized for the size of the house. Their Employees were very Professional & getting our The whole System Replaced in one day.!!!
We shopped around at a couple of different spots for gas inserts and Econoair has the best customer service and the best show room. We really love our new gas insert and are super happy with our choice to go with Econoair.
Service truck was parked in driveway w/o seeking permission. Service truck has an oil leak. Driveway stained.Otherwise install crew executed their work while taking care not to soil or damage anything. They were efficient, explained what was going to be done and did a good job of orienting us regarding the use of our fireplace insert.
I have done business many times over the years with Econo Air and have always been pleased. They are big ticket items and are not the cheapest in town, but over the years the quality shows - no problem with the product sold, and are always helpful with any questions or concerns even silly ones!
Had an appointment from 8-12. We call receptionist at 12:15 she says talked to person should be there 20 to 30 minutes. Obviously they are at lunch. Cant blame them for wanting to eat butyou cant call. No morning call to say where you are at in rotation. It is obvious that this company dont care about time except for there own. Save yourself the trouble use someone else.
I parked in front of the store and got out of my car holding my glass fireplace doors. An employee had just parked his car and was walking toward the store. Maam....Maam.....we dont sell glass! I heard. I turned around and said I didnt need glass. Well, we dont sell doors.The guy never took the time to ask me why I was there or what I needed. I asked Do you even know what I want? I just need the little spacers that hold the glass into the frame. He immediately fired back, Well, Id have to know the manufacturer and the model number before I could determine if we EVEN have ACCESS to that part. Little did he know I had that information in my little pea brain (ha!). He obviously didnt want to help. I grabbed the frame out of his hand and said, You are very abrupt! Even if I need a whole new unit, I wont be buying it here! and I drove away. The guy was rude...never said hello, how can I help you? Never asked what I needed. He just made incorrect ASSumptions! Dont go here. There customer service is awful!
Been a customer of Econo Air for many years, not anymore. There is nothing economic about them, they are too expensive and over priced. Charged me way too much for a part and install. Going to give their competitors a try for any future repairs. Shame.

Replaced my entire HVAC system 3 years ago.The first 2 years they always went the extra mile. Now I cant get them to service this unit because their tech calls in sick. Had made appt. over 2 weeks in advance. Now I have to wait 3 more weeks.Keep this in mind when considering.
Way Over priced, poor service, no call back $47.88 for sheet metal adapter for stove pipe compared to $18.00 at local hardware store. Did not return phone calls or call to let me know part was in. Will not do business with ECONO-AIR in Bakersfield in the future.

My husband and I are shopping for a gas insert. We have been there twice now and stand being completely ignored for a half hour before we give up and leave. When the only thing they say to you is to move out of their way. Not only is it bad customer service but it’s RUDE! They’ve lost our business. We will go somewhere that at least they Acknowledge you’ve walked through the door.
Econo-Aire is highly recommended for air conditioning, heating, fireplaces, fireplace inserts and outdoor kitchens. They have a very nice showroom at the Union Avenue location.
I am HVAC, EPA Certified, and I am pretty technical when it come to refrigeration... Econo Air is a great company, and its right around the coroner from where I Live.

2021-09-13On one of the hot day in August 2021, Econo -Air Inc removed and replaced a AC & heating system in my home. It was a few weeks to get the unit in from the order but it arrived on time. The install took over 10 hours but we had a cool house at the end of the day. Dont waste time looking for a AC company to use, because Econo-Air is the one that will give you Great service, with a Professional staff. And if you are lucky you may get to work with the owner of the company to answer all your questions. Remember one call Econo-Air.

2021-04-17Econo-Air has an extremely professional staff. They went out of their way to ensure a clean and productive work zone. The crew that installed my new central heating and air were very knowledgeable and professional. Their cost for new unit with installation beat other competitors by hundreds of dollars on top of receiving new filtration system that removes over 96% of dust, pollen, and mold from the air which is critical for anyone who lives in the Kern County area.
