Fresh, made to order, and delicious vegan churros! Staff are friendly and service is quick. Modest bench seating and bar top standing tables. Piped music and a glowing red selfie station add to the aesthetic of this food truck. Not many vegan toppings but the funnel cake style can be topped with powdered sugar (I didnt check the brand) and strawberry sauce. Will definitely be back to support and enjoy!
The branding is 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽! Phenomenal follow through, overall a wonderful experience. Line moved swiftly and the churros were magnificent. The perfect fluff and crunch to sink your teeth into and the vanilla bean ice cream was quality. Let’s not forget the caramel dip — not too sweet! What a way to make churros even more incredible than they already are. DCM is curated finely with a mature twist — the palette can recognize that this is no ordinary churro love. It’s the In-n-out of churros… 👏🏼
Worth the line. Best churros around. If you are coming with a group (as we usually do), give in and get the thread since it can be shared with 5 people easily. Who am I kidding? I bet my husband and I could put down a thread between just the two of us. The Don churro is flatter, wider, and sliced down the center and slathered in cajeta. If you have never had cajeta, just imagine what nectar made straight from the hands of God is and you’ve got it. Hahah. Really though, it is basically a caramelized sugary syrup usually made with goats milk and... I think condensed milk? The traditional churro is what you might usually imagine if you think of churros- long and slender. Oh and do yourself a favor and order a side of cajeta if you go with the traditional. The owner Jaime, is always the one taking orders. He is friendly and genuinely loves what he does- and boy does it show. Bring the family down and plan on getting your groove on in line since the playlist here is always lit. The more you dance, the faster the wait time is!
Simple. Satisfying. Special.Fresh. Consistent. Worth the wait. The owner and order-taker Jaime and his staff are very friendly. They make the best churro my wife and I have ever had! I love supporting businesses like this with good prices and great products. I first reviewed this dessert truck a year ago. They have since moved across the street to a much larger parking lot to accommodate their popularity.
The churros are kinda thick. I like the ones that are thin and crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. But for those who think Costco churros is fire, these are a bit better.Youll know when they are good because when you take one bite, you like the chewy crunchiness and take another and another and soon you realize the whole bag is gone.
The best churros Ive ever had! Theyre from my moms hometown, Yahualica. Definitely recommend. They have benches and a few tables if you want to sit and have your churros there. The parking used to be a problem but they moved across the street where there is much more room.
A food truck in the middle of a parking lot that specializes in churros and other Mexican desserts. The truck is well-lit and is easily visible from Anaheim Blvd. They put out benches and tables to eat on, and blast old school hip hop and R&B. Pretty cute place. Churros are made fresh and have a perfect level of crunch outside and warm soft inside.
One of the best churros Ive had in a long time! Very close to how they are made in Mexico! It was hot, crunchy and moist. One bite is never enough. It doesnt leave the dry after taste you get from other churros. I ordered the Churro with Ice Cream. I was not disappointed. It tastes even better with Ice Cream. I highly recommend it. I will be definitely coming back again.. Others try to imitate but cant relate! Nothing compares.. F.Y.I. The Loop and Churroholics are Asian Owned. If you want authentic and the real deal then Don Churros is the place to be.
Its usually pretty busy and has long lines but well worth the wait. The churros are so crispy amf the perfect combination. The ice cream is real good too!If you take them home you can leave them in the box in your fridge, put them in the air fryer and they are still awesome!
Place is LEGIT! Its a cool food truck setup but seriously especially for churros.I got the regular churro with butter pecan ice cream on top. These churros are crunchy on the outside but a little softer in the inside. Just as a churro should be.Expect a well worth it 20 minute wait or more. They played oldies music which made the wait not so bad but it is a popular spot.
AMAZING CHURROS! almost literally melt in your mouth! Be sure to get there early and bring a jacket cause you could be waiting in line for a long time.My friends and I got a box and it came with about 6 or 7 churros the parking lot looked very clean, they do have some tables where you can eat or even just wait.
If you like soft, fresh, handmade churros you will love this place. Slightly crunchy on the outside and airy soft on the inside. I usually get the box with the half traditional churros and half of their Don Churros with the Mexican Caramel spread on the inside. Get a side of their Cajetas (Mexican Caramel) on the side to dip as well if you have a sweet tooth!
This is by far the best place to get churros I have have tried churros from many many places and nobody comes close!!! No matter where you are its worth the drive. Once you try them you wont want them from any other place. Soft and yummy on the inside little crunchy on the outside not greasy but perfect. I have told everyone I can to go try it . Thank you for making the best churro.😊👏😍 wish I had some now
DAAAAAAAMN GINA!!! These churros are L-E-G-I-T. Heard about this place, stood in line for an hour, took a bite and had a numinous experience. When I first heard about this place I doubted that it could be that good, I mean, who could top Tijuana churros? Well, question answered. Def going back ASAP. BTW, BOTH traditional AND thick ones are amazing (two complete different experiences). They do have a box with half- and- half; GET IT you wont regret it.
This is the classiest food truck/trailer you will ever see. BUT it doesnt even hold a candle to how good their churros are. If the truck looked as good as their churros tasted them theyd be frying those big rings in the sistine chapel. Im an avid eater of sweet things and these bad boys are going for gold.
Ive been to this spot many times and my most recent visit was today. The staff is friendly and always have a welcoming smile (I can see in in their eyes and their masks moves in a way that it would if you were smiling ). It wasnt busy from opening time to 5:47 ish. I love their regular churros. They are so DELICIOUS and the sweetness is not too much. Their churros are vegan and simply AUTHENTIC, unlike other churro spots. If you call to order for pick up they make sure that they make your churros right when you arrive so its fresh. Oh and their playlist is on point, that it makes me want to dance while I wait. They also have stuffed churros, churros with ice cream and much more. I highly recommend you give it a try. You wont be disappointed.
If I could give 6 stars I would.I like the traditional more than the don churros style. The don churros style is only good when eaten as fresh as possible, but still too hard for me.The strawberry ice cream is the fake kind, fyi if you like that strawberry milk flavor. The butter pecan ice cream is nice.
These churros were really good before the shop became busy. Now the churros arent cooked properly because theyre under a high fire in order to cook faster, this is all due to the many people waiting in line to have their order. So now the churros are greasy and have a little bit of sugar.
Good churros, but you have to eat them right away or they will get hard and soggy, but I thinking that is with anything food related, just be prepared to wait at least 30 min on weekends, but it is well worth it. If you want to eat fresh and crunchy, it is worth the wait.
My son plays basketball across the street so we finally stopped by. I thought it was a bit pricey but when we took our first bite, OMG! It was the best churros I had so far. Since it’s been cold I can’t wait till it’s warm so I can try the churros with ice cream! Yummy! 🤗
OMG this are the best tasting churros Ive had here in the US. This is what you would get when you go to Jalisco Mexico and eat churros. There is alot of places here in California where you can find churros but there is nothing like this ones, they are nice and crispy and airy but soft and gooey in the inside. They are a MUST try when you are in the area!
These churros are perfection. My favorite is the churro grueso which has cajeta inside. I live 40 miles away and they are always 100% worth it. The prices are great and each churro is a really good size. They reheat well but there is nothing better than eating your warm churro right away! They have benches and tables set up and have music playing which makes for a great overall experience! Everyone NEEDS to try these churros!
Hi guys! So on the dessert menu for tonight churro. So what makes these churro so good? They are made fresh right in front of you they have a traditional churro or a grande which is wide and cut in half and spread with a caramel sauce which is not very sweet but combines very well or you can put vanilla ice cream. There is a lot of different combinations that you can choose from whatever you choose you will enjoy very much. This is a family run business which got started in Mexico and they decided to bring it here to share with us that only makes me want to support them even more.
I came all the way from NY to eat these churros. OK, I came for work, but eating these things was a total highlight. Ive never had churros with ice cream and man is that an amazing combination! I dont think Ill eat churros without ice cream ever again.Bring the family, all of your friends, you will not leave disappointed, you will leave full of delicious churros.
Ive tried the real Jalisco style churros in the mother country during holiday trips to my parents rancho (arriba Los Guerrero, Jalisco!!) since I was a kid. Many times. Don Churros Gómez are definitely the closest I have ever had to the real thing. The taste and smell takes me back to those trips every time and never fail to make me feel a little homesick. The music they have blasting on the speakers transports me back to the rancho I grew up visiting. And I love it! These churros are legit! I recommend the regular rosca...the thick churro is a bit much, but thats me. And honestly, the cajeta (dulce de leche-type caramel) is not necessary...but it can be a bonus. I prefer the churros alone, in their hot-sugary-cinammony-crunchy-chewy state!
Sometimes in life you make a mistake. A mistake so great that it haunts you. You dwell on it. Lose sleep over it. Think about what you could have done differently to prevent it. Try and blame others. And finally you make peace with it and realize that the only thing you can do is try and be prepared to do a better job next time it comes around. I just went through this. I had more money. They had more churros. There was more room in the car. Why didnt I buy more?! I drove up there from San Diego, and I only got 7. They were all gone before I got home. What was I thinking?! Bottom line, its worth the drive. Its worth the wait. Its worth the money. I have traveled all over Mexico, and these are without a doubt, hands down, the absolute best churros I have ever had in my life. The family that owns and runs the shop are incredible. Very friendly, kind, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. You can tell that the love what they do and take pride in their craft. They have two styles. Get them both. Its not worth the regret youll face if you only try one. I could write more, but lets be honest... the more you read, the less churros youre eating. Go get them. Seriously!
Is this worth the looooooong line!? YES IT IS!Youll make friends as you wait for your favorite crispy treat and occasionally see fireworks.Make sure to try both the regular Churro abc the Don Gomez Churro... Then take a box of your favorite. The cajeta definitely make the Don Churro better and its not a greasy. This gets 5 stars from me!

2021-08-24Wow Wow WowThis churro food truck is one of the best trucks in the L.A. & Anaheim area. The staff were on point and fast, friendly. The setup of the area was nice and clean. They had a pop tent with tables and benches. Now for the important part: The Churros were on point - they had the traditional ones that everyone knows about, I mean even Costco sells these things, but the surprise is the Don Churro style! its this thicker but moist piece of churro. I am not doing it justice with my words. I tried the Churro hotdog style minus the ice cream and what a mistake that was, I should have had the works. My friends gave me some of theirs with the strawberry ice cream and the other had caramel drizzle! oh my! Don Churro you are a legend! Love this place for the sweet treats they provide. There are so many options to be had:you can have the full spiral churro or just single pieces! Ice cream or a la carte.I will be back!

Expect to wait some time for your reward. The churros have a good taste and wont leave you tasting oil. I also got a Choco Coffee which Im a fan of in general. The ice cream is so delicious! Be ready to get your hands messy. The staff was nice and good music was playing in the background. That is always a great touch.

2021-09-19Mexican churros with a twist. I normally just order the traditional churro or a rosca, but this time I decided to try a traditional churro, but funnel cake style. Not disappointed at all. Pretty good! This place is the perfect way to end your date night!

2020-12-04Ive driven by here so many times wanting to stop and try the churros here but the line has always been too long so I just kept driving. Tonight the line was only about 20 or 25 people so I said its either now or never. Its entirely worth the wait! Their churros are made to order from a 51 year old recipe from Jalisco They are soft, airy, delicate and delicious. I got the mixed box that has both styles of churros in them. Both are delicious but I prefer the churro grueso ones filled with the cajeta. We also got their churro version of funnel cake that is served with strawberry ice cream and strawberry drizzle. It was all so good and definitely worth the wait!

2021-05-31The whole experience was pretty cool lucky we didnt have to wait too long for them to take our order. It took like 8min to get our order, we got the regular churro with ice cream and the other one with cajeta. Ive had churros from Guadalajara you gotta try it!

2019-05-26Found this place on a whim and was not disappointed. I had the thick churro with Cajeta. it was delicious. We also had an order of churros with ice cream and they were good but I am not much of a fan of the thinner churros like these. the line progressively got longer and longer. Ill definitely will be back for those thick churros.

2021-03-24Churros were awesome and like definitely recommended for having a dessert that doesnt feel too sweet or heavy wait and line can be exceptionally long so recommended arriving early otherwise prepare for a wait on the weekends

2019-06-21Don churros!! Best spot in orange county for an authentic churro straight from the motherland yahualica.Jalisco,Mexico. They have your traditional churro with or without ice cream. The vanilla ice cream is nice and milky and of high quality you can just taste it..😋 they also have the vanilla bean churro which is my favorite its pretty much a traditional churro but cooked in a different way they make it thicker kind of like a baguette they put the vanilla ice cream in it and they spread cajeta inside the churro !!! Which is like Mexican nutella but one hundred times better not to sweet its just enough sweetness to not overpower the pallet. The best thing is that they are super clean👌 so the place looks appetizing. Its not a busted old trailer which makes a difference in the sanitation. Its very modern and they always have good music playing. Its right in the Anaheim swapmeet parking lot so thats cool because you never struggle with parking theres enough space to park. The staff is very friendly and professional they make you feal welcome and they crank out orders fairly quick considering the fact that they are very popular and always have a line. All in all its a great place for dessert if you havent tried you gotta try it now definently worth it better than churroholics its more simple but more better and more authentic.!!!👍🔥💣🤤
