I had a very poor experience with this company. I would not recommend them to anyone. Lots of false promises that were not kept. The delivery out of state was like a Chinese fire drill that kept us waiting for hours. They do not deduct taxes so they increase their profit and you get slammed in your state. They lie about having you approved for a low-interest rate and then all of a sudden when it comes time to buy they give you a lot of BS and a higher rate. Typical bait and switch buyer beware!

I have never written a review before, this is my first. They deceive people. They took an advance payment for the truck, promised to give a working truck in 3 days, 3 weeks have passed, the truck is not ready, the advance payment is not returned. they also sell trucks that have been badly in an accident when checked by carfax, and they say there was no accident according to their papers.NEVER GIVE THEM AN ADVANCE PAYMENT

Not really having much information on what we would need to get started purchasing a truck weve been looking around for about 3months now, when asked our credit score and work history almost all dealerships have been rude ya we cant help or no sorry it would be impossible to finance you because yes we dont have the best credit score but were working on fixing it and building it up but they would be real short we ask so what do you think we need to do and be told let me call you back not even take our information just really had our hopes up getting discouraged I called diamond trucks in Bakersfield, Ca where I was greeted nicely by Glenn. He immediately asked similar questions but actually listened to our situation and asked what we were looking for our preference what kind of truck we wanna buy. He showed us some nice trucks some we would like to consider and some really nice ones out of our range at this time but finally some options. So, Cody over at Diamond Truck Sales ALMOST got me for $13000 when they tried to bait and switch me. They were dishonest with me about the type of financing I would qualify for. He did NOT tell me ever that I would be applying for a lease with a huge balloon payment. If he were honest about that up front, I wouldnt have applied. I assume he knew that which is why he lied.They told me that they are getting me traditional bank financing and then switched the whole deal at the last second to a lease with a huge balloon payment. Mine was $12,250.00.The first red flag was after I payed them $1000 on a debit card and another $12000 in a cashiers check some other lady calls me up and goes I know we said financing but the paperwork says lease agreement. Ignore that because its still a purchase. Hurry and docusign the paperwork.So now Im concerned and tried reading the contract which they made very difficult to access. When I finally read it, I found out that $750 of my DOWN PAYMENT Was going for a FEE that no one told me about. I also read about the balloon payment of $12,250 at the end to own the truck I am buying.They tried telling me dont worry about that. Your down payment that you paid US automatically goes to the balloon payment. But according to the contract there are several hoops to jump through for that to work like you cant be late 1 day, 1 time, ever on the life of the lease. You have to notify them in writing of your INTENT TO PURCHASE the truck 6 MONTHS before the LEASE is up.They pretended the whole time that I was applying for and would be receiving traditional FINANCING and NOT A lease purchase with a balloon payment at the end.When I asked for my money back Cody told me no. Even though I have texts from him saying that if I am not FINANCED, my money would be returned.I disputed the charge with my bank and Diamond Truck Sales told them that they provided me a service. I guess we can agree that they serviced me but our definitions of the servicing that I received differ dramatically. They serviced me AND made me pay for the lube.EDIT 1/28/22. I sent my information to your email address as requested. What a surprise, no one has reached out to resolve this issue.

This is the only place you need to check out if you are thinking about buying a truck. Seriously. I shopped around for months everywhere else before I discovered this place. I applied for financing at a place in fresno, I wont name names though, but I had to keep calling for two weeks asking if they found a lender yet. Ultimately told them forget it. But at Diamond, I called one day, took a trip there the next, and knew the same hour I applied whether they could get me financed. Btw, my credit score, low, very low 600s just to give you some sort of idea if thats where you are. Cody Thompson got me approved! Literally about 10 days later, after all the hoops jumped through for the lender, Ive got my first truck. It was stressful but Cody made it real easy. I could share a lot more but, trust me this is the only place you need to call. Thank you Cody, and everyone else at Diamond Truck Sales Bakersfield!!!
I am writing this on behalf of my father. Our experience with Diamond Truck Sales in Bakersfield has continuously declined over the last several months since purchasing my 2014 Peterbilt truck from them on November 18th, 2020. Since then our experience with them has been nothing but a nightmare. We have yet to receive his permanent registration, license plate, or title as of today. We have reached out to Shadie on multiple occasions to receive any update. Each time, it has continued to go nowhere, and we were always given the runaround that our DMV papers have been submitted to your DMV clerk. The first time we were told our papers were submitted was on December 30th, and another time on January 15th, and each time we were told that we would be receiving our DMV documents within a weeks’ time. We understand that with the current COVID Pandemic there are delays and that Shadie does not directly handle the DMV documents and paperwork, however we would have appreciated if this was given more a priority than it has been. His temporary registration expires this upcoming Sunday, February 14th. My daughter reached out to Cody, the Sales Manager on Tuesday, February 9th, and has somewhat gotten somewhere with him. We were then told by Shadie that they would only be able to re-process the title paperwork AGAIN, and we would receive a refund check of $600 that was put towards the registration. Her reasoning was “I have my DMV you (I gave my DMV your) paperwork again yesterday and they wanted more money which would have taken so much more time”. She did not tell us why the DMV was requesting more money for the license plate, title and registration. Today, February 10th, we have been told by Shadie that we will still need to go to the DMV ourselves to retrieve our plates. Which is beyond absurd, we’ve been waiting since end of November for this. Given the time and endless chasing to get an update, this is unacceptable and shows the lack of concerns of your clients. If this was the case, this should have been an option to do the first time we had reached out for an update on the registration, title, and plates. It is absurd that we had to continuously reach out to Shadie only to be given the runaround. As a company of professionals, it should have been a priority of yours to provide at least standard customer service with this issue. Unfortunately, we were given far below that. It behooves us that this is how your company treats your clients.*** In response to the below reply from the owner. Your response This is why we had tried to communicate with you so that you walk it and get it much faster. This was not communicated at all, to either my parents upon purchase, or to my sister who had mainly been communicating with Shadie via text messaging, since each time we had attempted to get her on the phone, her excuse was always she was on lunch or on another call. We have the screen shots to show all communication with Shadie as well. We understand that there are delays with the DMV across CA, however your team failed to do their part in providing follow ups and updates with our concerns. With knowing already the delays with the DMV, providing the additional 60 day temporary registration should have been offered when my sister had contacted Shadie on January 15th. In addition, for the CUSTOMER to have to REPEATEDLY reach out FIRST to the SELLER regarding any concerns, is well beyond absurd. Being in customer service position myself, it is very disappointing that this is how you train your employees to approach and handle customer concerns.
Everyone here was really nice and helpfull. Cody and lucia went above and beyond in helping me getting my truck, even though I changed my mind on the truck I wanted after we already signed with the bank; they made it happen! Their customer service is great! They even replaced some sensors after I bought it. For sure will be coming back for other trucks!!
Do NOT purchase a truck from this location whatever you do and i will list a few reasons:1st: this dealer has BOUGHT all their reviews they are all fake, do NOT be confused.2nd: i bought a truck cash from here for 55k, a week later the entire transmission broke down. So i took it to freightliner down the street, first thing the service man asked me was where did you buy it? so i told him down the street, he said thats the worst business mistake youve ever done, my buddy bought a few trucks from there and they all broke down in a few weeks.3rd: dont believe me? please dont take my word, go to the freightliner literally down the street, it wont cost you most than 15 minutes and ask about this dealer. it is a complete SCAM. they sell broken trucks and how they get away with it is by telling you that hooking up a heavy load to these trucks is not allowed. do NOT buy from this dealer, as an owner operator to the next do not lose business doing a deal with this p;ace.

Had to wait 6 months to give y’all this review I bought a cascadia with a isx15 back in November and the truck has been running great yea here and there you need to give it some maintenance remember it’s a used truck .they gave me the opportunity to run some tests before I bought which was cool all I gotta say is that if you don’t know on what to look for in trucks don’t come here because this place has good deals but some trucks aren’t all that great so it’s a risk if you don’t know what your looking for but if you do well your gonna get hooked up with a good price I payed 40k for a 444k truck that’s a steal compared to 50/60k at other dealerships Cody even put brand new tires all around !

I hope this post helps out other buyers. What ever you do please do not buy your truck here. They have you sign a lease purchase contract because they make 20-30% commision off of you. Youll know if its one of those contracts because it doesnt show what your interest is. Stay away from those contracts because you will pay alot more than what the truck is worth. They make you pick up your truck from the dealer knowing you dont have the insurance for the truck yet. The sales people are crooked as workers along with the people in the office. Cody has no idea what he is doing, avoid him. But of course if this is the only resport you have left then go for it, just remember you have been warned.
A number of weeks ago I called Diamond Truck to inquire about a 1998 Freightliner Cabover posted online with a Detroit engine. The salesman was helpful and send pictures via email since none were posted on the listing. I asked him about the engine because it had a model number that I wast familiar with, he didnt know what it was so I called my mechanic to make sure that it was a 12.7 liter Detroit. He indicated it was and that the model number was for a variable torque engine. I negotiated on the truck, purchased it, arraigned shipping to central Kansas. It arrived and the first thing my driver noticed under the cab was the Cat yellow color. Turns out it was a C12 Cat! I called in to discuss this error and it was confirmed that the listing was incorrect(the person who made the mistake was no longer with the company), they offered to buy the truck back but I needed to return it to them. So I could get my money back on the truck but I was going to have paid over $3200 for the privilege of learning that they had posted the engine wrong on their listing. We were targeting a 12.7 Detroit, I wouldnt have called about the truck if it hadnt been listed that way. I feel cheated and mistreated. I asked multiple times to speak to the owner and was denied that courtesy as well, he wouldnt return my call and the salesman wouldnt put me in contact with him. I would avoid business with Diamond Truck Sales....., if you arent willing to talk with dissatisfied customers and attempt resolution, you arent running a good business in my opinion.
This place is a joke this guy doesnt take care of nothing but himself, I gave this a good review when I was purchasing my truck should of waiting before posting it. When I drove the truck to put fuel in it after picking it up pump fuel jump in an tried to start it up it just kept cranking an cranking called him to let him know what was going on he told me it was normal for volvos to do that so first time I took it out on a load my truck coded took it to Volvo told me injectors an injector cups bad. Called an let him know what was going on told me to bad when pass there 300 hundred mile warranty. Fast forward a month later transmission blows up two weeks after a month after that engine goes out. U been warned dont but junk trucks from this dealership

This place is a joke. With my friend we recently purchased Freightliner cascadia 2013, and one we bought it truck broke down day 1. Owners also didnt respond to our phone calls and never contacted us back even we leave voice message. After purchasing a truck we still spending money to repair it, already we spent $6k and counting. We drove 6 hours to go pick up a truck we bought in Turlock, Ca. It was delivered to Bakersfield charging us $100 for diesel expenses! We got there and our truck was there dirty as can be leaking motor oil! A very bad experience with this place also!

I was referred to Diamond trucks from a buddy who just bought a truck he hyped this place up and I was in the market to purchase so I gave it a shot from my experience from start to finish the process was very quick I don’t have the greatest credit but was still able to get approved. The people there always answer phone if any questions or concerns and if they don’t have the answer they call you back fairly quick. The sales rep I was working with Michael he was professional polite and easy to work with. I will be going back to purchase a second and third truck once I build my company up and find drivers 👍🏻👍🏻. I bought my truck 5 days ago, I paid almost $100,000 dollars, I drove it 20 miles and the engine light came on due to a problem in the def system, they just changed a sensor and the problem was never solved and they dont want to fix it anymore Now I have a debt and the truck broke down 20 miles from the dealer!!! dont waste your money and your time in this place 👎👎👎👎👎 this cody told me to drive it and that if there was a problem he would fix it for me and now he doesnt want it anymore!!!! very bad place to buy a truck 😡😡😡👎👎👎👎

2022-05-16We bought a 2012 kenwroth t660 they promised that they’ll have the truck ready and in good condition otherwise they won’t sale anything, the person whom came to pick up the semi drove it for 600 miles, the check engine came on, they said to bring it to a shop that they’ll take care of it, 200 miles later the semi didn’t work any more, the driver didn’t even make it home with the semi, we’ve spend couple thousands dollars and still haven’t being able to bring the semi home. At the pictures you can see the “fixings “ they do at the semis.

2022-08-03My experience with bakersfield diamond truck sales has been horrible. I invested $30,000 down-payment plus another $15,000+ in truck payments,insurance, tow truck,mechanic an so on, so far. Well long story short I been having problems with the truck since day 1 I only got to work with the truck 6 days an the trucks motor locked up is in a repair shop right now. All Im getting from diamond truck sales is thats how the trucking business is, you bought as is ,an some trucks break down as soon as they leave the dealer. I been driving for 12 years an never had a situation like this before. Is Krazy how they wash there hands that simple from selling lemons .U can loose your dreams an investment just like that by trusting the wrong person it dont matter how hard you work for them. I wish I had seen the bbb reviews before dealing with diamond truck sales.

2022-06-28This is honest review. I am not giving themOne star for no reason. I bought a truck fromthem few months back. I was told that truck Was in a perfect condition. Soon after I picked up the truck from NC the speed gauge, fuel gauge didn’t work. After few months I found out the kingpins in the front wheels is messed up, mix match tires, coolant pipe blew, the transmission was messed up. I am still paying for these repairs and so far i paid over 7k in repairs and still counting… please don’t buy truck from these guys they don’t care about you. All they care about is their commission and they will Pressurize you to buy the truck. I hope this review helps someone.

2022-08-05So my experience with Diamond was overall easy straight forward no run around! I was originally looking for a 13spd Cummins Peterbilt or KW but when I drove this 2019 579 Pete w/ Paccar the truck just drove felt and sounded so clean I fell in love she’s a beaut!! Now once I received the truck I had an issue with the a/c and a leak from the engine was a lil irritated but I called they referred me to get a diagnosis and let me know what they can do since I bought truck as is and I didn’t get no warranty? So I took it to my mechanic and it was a simple fix the quote was cheap and Diamond took care of it no problem. So I gotta say I’ll definitely be back for more trucks here in a bout a year, I appreciate you Glenn Thank you and all the staff over there at Bakersfield, I’ll be sending all my boys your way!!
