Sara was absolutely incredible to work with! She has such an amazing energy and makes you feel like an actual star. During COVID, she worked out a safe elopement package that was truly a dream for any of us in limbo with wedding planning during this crazy time. Do yourself and your wedding planning process a favor and HIRE SARA! Sara has been amazing to work with and has now done our engagement photos and our backyard elopement. We hired her for our Hawaii destination wedding but we had to postpone because of Covid and Sara has been so accommodating, patient and caring as we navigate this process. We just had our backyard elopement and our families can’t stop talking about how awesome Sara is. She is genuine, friendly, fun and makes pictures such a breeze. Having Sara capture our photos for our wedding was one of the best decisions in our wedding planning process! She was so wonderful right from the start. Having a destination wedding in San Diego, I was very nervous if I would be able to find a photographer that I would feel comfortable with on my wedding day. I stumbled across Saras website and she had posted her travel dates - it just so happened that she was going to be in Seattle (where I live!) for travel. I contacted her and she was able to squeeze us in for an engagement session in Seattle. I wasnt really sure what to expect, but she by far exceeded any of my expectations.She is a fun, easy going, talented woman and I consider myself so lucky to have found her. She quickly put my fiancé and I at ease taking photos (weve never done anything like that before) and listened to my wishes for what I wanted for the photos as well.On the day of the wedding in San Diego, everything went so well and it was so nice that we already felt so comfortable with her. I would highly recommend her to anyone. My photos turned out beautiful and she truly listened to all of my crazy bride requests. You will not be disappointed and you will have photos that you treasure for a lifetime with Sara.
Sara is literally a ray of sunshine! I have done two shoots with her, and both times I completely forgot to be nervous because we just have so much fun!!!! Her shoots are playful and fun and my abs always hurt from laughing! I firmly believe this atmosphere is why she is able to capture some of the most dreamy, beautiful pictures I have ever seen. I always LOVE her work, and cant recommend her enough!!! Im constantly trying to think of reasons to do another shoot just so I can work with her again haha!!!! I’m so happy that we found Sara, PinkFeatherPhotography to shoot our wedding! Before I even get to the photos, I just want to say how fun and sweet and nice Sara is. Our wedding was so fun and happy and a big party and she blended in so well with the guests, we really really loved her!I just got the photos today, and wow! I knew she was good because I found her on Instagram after searching through literally over 50 photographers. But the photos we got exceeded my expectations! We’re going to have a extremely hard time deciding which ones to print. I just posted 40 on Facebook and even those were hard to narrow down because we have so many extremely professional and beautiful photos.I can’t recommend Sara enough, and I also want to say that it was great to have a photographer that was beyond comfortable at a gay wedding. Sarah is awesome! I was a high maintenance bride in a low maintenance kind of way and she got that immediately. We wanted the photography to be very low key, capturing the day, our friends and family, not focusing on the details and the posing and the gimmicks. It was amazing working with her; I barely knew she was there and somehow every time I look at my pictures I relive all the joy we felt that day without regretting spending hours in front of the camera. Stop looking, you have found your photographer!Sarah is very interactive and gives you ideas/direction on how to pose or even how to catch action shots, which we needed because we were not familiar with for our engagement shoot. The photos she captures are very intimate and captures your story, but she also takes the photos your mom and grandma would want to see.

2021-11-08It’s taken me way too long to write this review because I’ve been combing through the overwhelming amount of truly breathtaking photos from our wedding day! My husband and I used desert born studios for both our engagement and wedding photography and we couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to do so!Not only is Sara a true artist and incredibly professional, but her bubbly personality made getting photographed feel so effortless and fun! She really took the time to get to know my husband and I as a couple and incorporated our interests into our photo shoots. For example, I mentioned I love 1970s decor and all things vintage, and she brought a cordless record player and other fun props to our engagement shoot, which was such a unique element!My husband and I definitely don’t fancy ourselves as the most photogenic people, and can be a bit awkward in front of the camera so we were nervous about being shot by a professional. But Sara made us feel so comfortable we got back so many more images than expected, and so many amazing staged as well as candid shots!Not only is Sara an expert at making her subjects feel at ease, but she definitely “has an eye” for photography.We were blown away by the creativity and quality of the images we received. Her sense of light, color, and space is remarkable, and we were incredibly impressed by her versatility!You truly cannot go wrong with desert born studios. Sara’s innovation, professionalism, and dedication to her craft make desert born studios an obvious and easy choice! 2022-02-18Look no further, you have found your photographer for every life occasion and gained a new best friend all in one fell swoop! Sara was nothing but professional from the moment I submitted my inquiry questionnaire. She promptly responded to my emails and we were able to quickly set up a phone call to get a feeling for each other’s vibe and vision. Sara is energetic, genuine, and so excited about her craft. If you are lucky enough to have her husband as your second shooter, you have won the lottery on your big day!! They took such good care of us and captured our day perfectly! Our dog was involved in our engagement photos, as well as, our entire wedding. She absolutely loved Cliff and they helped us to take photos with her, and entertained her so we could take photos on our own. If you are planning an adventure wedding, Sara is your girl! Our wedding was 6 hours from home, and included a complete off road adventure up an 4 wheel drive only path to the top of a mountain. Sara and Cliff were the perfect adventure buddies and not only braved the wild wind on top of the mountain, but continued the trek to 2 other additional locations for more photos. I can’t say enough positive things about Sara, so I’ll let my repeat business do the talking. With a baby on the way now, Sara is without a doubt my maternity photographer! 2022-06-19I came across Desert Born Studios through Instagram. There was a contest being hosted and my then-fiancé and I WON! We had no idea just how amazing working with Sara was going to be!Sara took the time to get to know us as a couple, what we enjoyed, and how to best portray who we are together. When it came time for our engagement shoot, my now-husband and I were a bit nervous since we don’t prefer to be the center of attention. 2022-05-12Sara is incredible. We did a couples shoot and got preview pictures within a couple days. She is great at communicating from initial contact and through the process. At the beginning of the shoot, we were a little shy, but within minutes, she had us laughing and feeling like we were close friends. She is great with people and a VERY talented photographer.
