Customer service is everything in this day and age and Rose makes all the difference in RV rental experience at Cruise America Los Angeles. My family has been a regular patron here for all our vacation rental needs. By booking DIRECTLY with Rose has helped us find great rental deals and the service has been unparalleled.
That was the third time we took an RV in this place. In 2016 we had a problem with the refrigerator (we were tired and did not check the operation of the systems, although the manager advised to check everything carefully), a day later we saw that the refrigerator was not working and we called the roadside assistance, we were offered to stop by the car service center or back to them, alas, we were already driving to burning man, so cruise america compensated for this unfortunate problem. (although we did not even asked for this!)at the last rent everything was great, only positive emotions. (now we always check all systems with the manager :)
We rent from this depot every year. The whole team at this place are fantastic. Special shout out to Rose for her above and beyond efforts in getting us sorted each year!Weve had the T25 and the T17, we didnt realise the T17 had no generator included and the whole team help get us sorted with online research for a local place to buy one. The mechanics onsite even helped us to set it all up and test it before we hit the road for Black Rock City.We also had a flat tire on the 395, easy to get it sorted with Cruise Americas help line.Love you guys, keep up the amazing work. Impressive service especially when they were takling the task of 60 to 80 RVs in and out in a day during our visit.See you next time )*(
Staff were helpful and knowledgeable and showed me all of the RVs features. We came from 100 miles away (this was the closest Cruise America location having the vehicle class I wanted) so it would have been nice if I could have parked on the premises; we had to put 400 miles on our other car (two round trips of 100 miles each way) just to pick up and drop off the RV (my wife had to drive me to/from home). The RV I rented was well used (over 100,000 miles on the one I rented; dont expect a fairly new vehicle like when you rent a car) and the check engine light came on while I was returning it. Fortunately the vehicle made it back to the lot. All the vehicles peripherals (A/C, mirrors, etc.) worked OK despite its age. It was a short trip so we didnt use the toilet or generator or stove; no comment on those, but everything you use or dont clean costs extra upon return.
I would like to give a shout out to Rose, who helped us rent an RV at Carson, CA location. She gave us one of the newer model vehicle that was in excellent condition. We had a great experience with it. But a special recognition to Rose is a must because she went out of her way to meet us at the place so that we can return the RV earlier than they open (our flight changed to an earlier time). I am thankful and grateful she did that for us so we wouldnt miss our flight back home. She went the extra mile for her customer. Thank you Rose! You are the best!
It took more time to get my RV than it did to fly from Seattle to LA. Think about that. This placed had scores of groups, families, vacationers sitting around waiting for service. Trash cans were full, no towels in rest room, some vending machines out of snacks. You are trapped. You cannot leave or you may not hear the call after hours of waiting.
My wife and I had an excellent experience picking up and dropping off our rental. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and very eager to provide recommendations. The only reason I am leaving it at 4-stars is the app and documentation did not provide accurate locations for dumping the tanks, which caused some stress and frustration.
Never rent an RV with this company again. The Worst experience. The A/C did not work properly, the generator didnt work properly for that reason we couldnt use the A/C in the camper, I had 4 kids with me one of them got sick because it was a hot weather back in Laughlin, NV. I texted customer service and never got a reply. We had to returned to California the day after, we rent the RV for 4 nights we only use it for one because we had to come back to California and right now Im about to drop it off at Carson location.Definitely would never use this company again.
Rented a 20ft RV for a 3 day trip. The process was easy and very convenient. I felt their hours were very doable. The RV was fine with the exception of the waste pipe. The hose and the pipe didnt make a very good connection, needless to say the dumping process was a little gross and embarrassing. The lever that controls the dirty waste didnt do a very good job of closing the waste, dirty water would pour out as soon as I opened the waste pipe before releasing the dirty water lever. I understand its a rental, but that part of it should be checked for proper functionality.
We have had positive experiences each time we rented various sized RVs from this location. It is conveniently located close to home. The staff is friendly. I would have added a A Fifth Star if Cruise America would offer packets of toilet chemical for sale as an option. One other consideration for only awarding 4 stars was that when I asked for the measurements of the opening to the rear exterior luggage compartment, the representative on the phone was unable to provide accurate information. But, it all worked out just fine regardless of an extra side trip to Walmart for toilet chemicals, and interpolating the openings measurement from their websites photos.
Rented the small truck/camper for a 3night hiking trip. The truck drove great and gas mileage was way better than the larger motorhomes. The camper was small without much storage but used for a place to sleep, it was good. We had a couple small issues with the camper but Bryan, the manager at the Carson, CA location was great to work with and made our trip the best. Would definitely rent again from Bryan at Carson, CA again.
We rented an small RV during COVID-19 2020 Christmas break and we went to Phoenx to see our daughter in order to avoid airline travels. We also went to Joshua Tree NP for two nights on the way back. Cruise America at Carson was very good. The Sales Ladies were very friendly and helpful. She gave us $95 credit back because we had to purchase a black water tube and we did good job on cleaning the RV before return it. Good service! Thanks to ladies at front desk!
Dependable truck and fun experience. Significant wait at pick up even though I had an appointment, approximately 2hrs. We had never used and RV before and the young woman who oriented us did a great job of clearly explaining how to use all of the hookups and driving features. Very positive experience. The rental was expensive as hotels but very convenient. We enjoyed the compact truck with 3 people although a bit cramped but easy to park and drive. Excellent time driving to Redwood National Park and Camping. Easy for first timers.
Overall good experience with our first RV rental. Staff was friendly and after I drove the largest RV a few miles and noticed an alignment problem, they were able to swap out for a newer unit. That unit had a sofa sleeper that we could not open during our trip which deprived us of a sleeping area. I learned later that this is an ongoing issue with this manufacturer. Otherwise, unit only had a few thousand miles, was clean and relatively easy to drive if you slow down. I would rent again.
This is our second time renting an RV from a Cruise America (Carson LA centre). As with our last rental experience, we cannot fault the company and service. This time we rented a C25 for a month. The RV was quite new and in excellent condition inside and out. Great layout and plenty of storage. All the appliances are very simple to use. The staff member (Rose) who sorted us out on the morning we arrived was super friendly, efficient and helpful. We only had one minor issue during our rental with an engine light appearing however we followed instructions in the manual and after that, reported it to the customer assistance line who were also very friendly and helpful. Return of the van was very efficient and straightforward and they have a lovely driver they can call to take you to the airport or your hotel. One thing to note, I don’t know if we are just unlucky but we’ve ended up with cracked windshields both times we’ve rented the RVs, resulting from simple stone chips on the freeways. The amount gets taken from your $500 deductible however our travel insurance usually covers the cost of this damage. We will definitely use Cruise America for any future RV rentals in North America.
I used Cruise America to travel across country with my pets. The RV was very nice. The only thing I found not up to par, was the phone support person. I was at my first destination and had an issue. When I called in, the person I spoke to had no knowledge of the operations of the RV. He was ZERO help. Luckily I found a way to troubleshoot the problem myself and rectify it. The people at the Carson store were great though.
This place is a truely number one RV rental services in the U.S. It was very simple and easy to rent an Rv. RV was very clean and everything was functional. Personally, I had to waste two weeks with Rvshare or other RV broker websites that will try to match you with Rv owners. Those services never worked out with me as RV owners were trying to shop customers. But here with cruise america, I booked my RV less than 5 mins. and it was very easy to rent and return. I have saved my time and money with cruise america and I would absolutely encourage and recommand my friends to Cruise America.
DO NOT rent with Cruise America at Carson, CA!In one word, the RV is broken. The manager David has no sense of customer service and is not at all friendly. This is my first time dealing with an RV, and I wish I can give zero stars.HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED:Dirty water came out from the bathroom drain during our trip, and the bathroom floor is full of water(and food waste from the previous customers). We had to use an empty bottle to take the water out and then clean the bathroom. When we open the faucet in the kitchen, the water was very smelly. The water pump didnt work properly either. We called their customer service, and they told us Sorry I dont have an answer to that. and Thats a good question but I dont have an answer to that either. The solution for us was to wait for them to call us back the next morning. I rent an RV during this Covid-19 time because I dont want to use public restrooms/bathrooms. But I had to that night. Finally, we figured out that it was because all of the indicators didnt work(by ourselves, the customer service didnt call us until 11am the next morning and we already left the RV camp). The fresh water tank is empty but the indicator showed it was full, the grey water was full and overflowed but the indicator showed it was empty, so as the black water/propane indicators. It is literally all the indicators are broken.WHAT IS WORSE!!!When we returned the RV, we talked to David about our experience and asked for a discount for having a bad RV. David said he saw previous records of the indicator problems. So they knew that, and they didnt repair it, and just rent it to the customers.Davids opinions were The RV is not broken, it drives. and The indicators are the manufacturers faults, not our faults. These are exactly his words, and it is ridiculous. After about 20 minutes of argument, we got an $80 refund. David was very impatient, and he was just like he did us a big favor and we were stealing money from them. Id rather pay in full for a pleasant trip, not get a refund for this terrible trip.PLUS there were several other problems:# The vehicle is dirty. I dont think they clean it after each rental.# We rented two camp chairs and the employee forgot to give them to us.# The refrigerator door is loose and it opened when we were driving. Food inside flew out and we got ten broken eggs on the floor.
Were the Morses and we had the most Epic Anniversary RV Adventure!!! First-time Cruise America renters and we are hooked! Spent 12 days exploring AZ, CO, NM with our 11 year old Boston Terrier who loved every minute. We were comfortable, had everything we needed in our little mobile home, and were able to socially distance while having a blast. Everything in the RV worked great and the Cruise America team was fantastic. Already planning our next adventure.
So far not the greatest. Decent long waiting line, whatever. But it was hot inside with the door closed and no apparent AC. Then finally helped and told to sit outside at a picnic table. COVID, sure, keep distance, but it was nearly 90 outside. No offer of water while waiting for another 15-20 minutes. All told, it took just shy of an hour from arriving and driving out with the RV.The RV itself isnt too bad, but when I went to wipe things down (Id probably do that even without the COVID situation) the wipe came up very brown. Especially the fabric. They need to wipe down that steering wheel and high touch surfaces better (at all?). They really need to get a hand held steam cleaner and use it once in a while on the couches. Also there was one broken window over the kitchen sink that doesnt have the handle to hold/lock in place. Will try to update when were done and turn it in. Can see it going up to 4 stars if all goes well. This stuff is used hard but so many people Im sure. The RV had 114k Mikes on it.
Such a fun experience with the family! The rv was awesome it fit everyone comfortable, we truly enjoyed ourselves, & made precious memories that will last forever! The company was very informative & accommodating. Overall it was a wonderful experience would definitely rent from them again, 5 star rating, satisfied customers!
It took a long time to check in (about 4 hours), however the check out took 20 minutes. The cruiser was clean, comfortable and easy to operate. Everything worked well except the air conditioning that was not cooling. Overall very pleasant experience. The office staff was nice but overwhelmed due to Covid probably.
This was overall a great experience! I absolutely loved renting a RV for my cross country move and would do it again in a heartbeat. The only issues we had were that that electrical system couldnt tell us when the black water tank was full (an issue they said they would remedy before we left but never did). However, this was hardly a dealbreaker. Overall, the patience and responsiveness, especially with the online chat system was tremendously impressive. Thanks so much!
Rose was such an outstanding person. She made my family feel safe and cared for. Our generator was not working so we had to go back and ask for another generator. She did not hesitate to jump to help us. She stayed with us the whole time and assured us that we would be taken care of. You really need to hire more employees like Rose.
I had a great experience with Cruise America. A couple things that could have gone better: there was some confusion about pricing when I picked up the RV but the person helping me called for help and the person on the phone walked her through making sure I got the price I was quoted in my online reservation. The RV had some minor issues: fan in the bathroom didnt work and there was something loose in the front-end suspension (we believe), but we got to where we needed to go and enjoyed our trip.
The staff here were excellent in getting us on the road armed with all the info we needed. We turned up a couple of hours early for our appointment but we still got on the road quickly and effortlessly. The RV itself was in very good condition, having only done 13,000 miles before we got it (we added 2,400 :) ) and everything worked as it should. Some of the cupboard doors and drawers would open when on poor road surfaces but this wasnt a huge problem for us.On returning the RV, the staff again were excellent and processed the paperwork quickly before putting us in a limo to take us downtown.
Service was great. Checking out the RV was fast and easy. Price was not that bad. The RV needed some small maintenance such as cabinet door came off due to rattling. (RV needed new shocks. The ride was kinda ruff ) Other than that. A great experience . Family loved it. Definitely recommend instead of hotels.
My wife and I started our trip the week after Thanksgiving. Its low season, so our rental was at a discounted rate. Picking up and dropping off the RV was very simply and quick. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only improvement I would greatly appreciate is on site secured parking for my personal vehicle while Im using the Rental RV. Cause right now there is no on site parking, only street parking on a somewhat busy area, that looks a little suspect. Having said that, Ive rented a RV multiple times from this location and left my vehicle in the street without issue.
If I could give this a 0 I would. We rented an RV from Cruise America to get myself, husband, and 8 month old baby from California to Michigan because we didnt want to fly (Covid) what a joke of a company this is. They gave my husband a damaged RV that had exhaust going into the cabin and setting off the fire alarm. They fixed it and the mechanic said it was negligent of them not to fix before he got it. We asked to cancel the reservation or get a new RV and we’re told we couldnt and that if we dropped RV off at a close by location we’d have to pay $3500 EXTRA! Then we blew out the same tire that damaged the exhaust in the middle of Nebraska. We have been sitting on the side of a freeway for 4+ hours now . Guy shows up an hour ago with wrong tools. We have an 8 month old with us. What terrible terrible customer service. Do not rent from them! Old RVs with over 100k miles on it and they say its safe to go across the country and then when it breaks down we wait over 4 hours and counting to get a tire fixed. Always wanted to do this! Never again.
We rented an RV for our first time through Cruise America to travel to Arizona for my fathers military and family funeral. We asked for all charges we would be expected to cover before making the booking. We were given a complete list. When we arrived to pick up the RV we were told of two new charges we hadn’t been aware of when booking. This was the first uncomfortable customer interaction that we had.Hidden costs and lied to about what we would pay. When we first got on the road one of the drawers of the RV didnt work and was awkwardly hanging out, taped closed and inoperable. A cabinet also wouldnt stay closed so it made loud slamming sounds any time we went over a bump.Instead, when we were still about 2.5 hours away from our destination, the RV broke down. While we were on the freeway driving, the lights on the dashboard went black, our headlights dimmed, we had no power breaks or power steering. My husband drifted to a stop on the shoulder of the road. We felt very unsafe. We were 40 miles outside of Blythe, CA on the side of the freeway where we could get smashed into. We called the police to come be with us and advise. With exits 40 miles ahead of us and 17 miles behind us we felt truly in the middle of no where. The tow truck took about 2.5 hours to get to us. We could have left the RV stranded outside of Blythe, but instead we stayed with the vehicle, wanting to make sure it was taken care of too.We got towed into Blythe. We had planned to be to our destination by evening that day, so there was only bedding for one person who planned to sleep in the RV (the others planned to sleep at familys house). We expected the nightmare would be over in the morning when Cruise America could help us out. We missed an evening gathering with family for my fathers funeral because of this and instead we were dealing with fear, discomfort, and upset during an already emotionally trying time.We contacted Cruise America and they were extremely rude. In the morning they said that we couldnt have a mobile mechanic come to the RV because they werent already vetted by Cruise America. They said they couldnt help us with anything and would get back to us in a few hours. We were baffled by their lack of urgency and what felt like complete lack of care about what we were going through. The operator Jenifer hung up on me during this traumatic experience because I was asking to speak to a manager or someone who could actually help. We were already a half a day late to an important weekend and the operators kept saying it didn’t look good and that they would get back to us in a few hours when each additional minute mattered. In Blythe, CA that morning the only car available was a Ford Fiesta which was too small for us, our luggage, and the kitchen/bedding supplies for the RV we thought wed be using. By the time 11 am hit, we had spent 4 hours waiting, stressing and trying to find a creative solution that morning. We are finally found a Uhaul that had 3 seats.Cruise America offered for us to exchange the RV. However at this point they were treating us heartlessly, we would have to spend a half hour to drive to another destination, then about 1 hour to check into the new RV and load all of our stuff into it, and a half hour back to our destination. We didn’t have time as so much important time had already been lost. Not to mention we didn’t trust the company at all at this point. This was a nightmare. It was horrible to have the RV break, to have very important time with our family ruined, and the whole breakdown was made so, so much worse to be treated so horribly by the people who could make a change. We spent $1101 over the cost of the RV. We hoped to get at least that back. Instead the representatives gave $90 over the cost of the RV. Leaving us eating $1000 more than we expected to spend and a horrific experience.Do not rent from Cruise America.
When I got home with the RV and went to check out the bed set up, I realized the over cab bed any there dinner table were broken. So, I had to drive back to the rental location to have them fix these. I later realized that the vent cover over the can was broken and making a lot of noise while driving. Also, the sensors for the black water tank always showed 2/3 full, which made it a bit difficult to know when we needed to find a place to dump the tank. Other than those issues, the vehicle was in fine condition and renting it was pretty straight forward.
Customer service was great the experience was also pretty good. The only thing keeping me from a 5 star review is the outside of the RV were not as clean as it could have been the windshield was pretty dirty and the ckean water tank was not full so we ran out of fresh water while on our trip.
I have rented from Cruise America in Carson, CA many times in the past and have always had a great experience but today was one of the worst times ever. Due to Covid-19 protocol I decided to call ahead and ask what time I can pick up my RV. The lady on the phone told me they were cleaning it and to be there at 11:30am to pick it up. I gave them a little extra time and arrived about 12:15pm and checked in. At that time they told me maintenance has it and is working on it and it still had to be washed and cleaned out. They tell me 35-40 mins. Even though I wasn’t happy I waited... I retuned to the office about 30 mins later to get an update and NOW they tell me 45 minutes to an hour longer. This is completely unacceptable and very unprofessional. It looks like this place is under new management because I don’t recognize any of the employees I have seen in the past. If this is how their customer service works, I will never return and that’s unfortunate as I usually rent from this location 4-5 times a year.
I called to better understand the bill and the guy I spoke to was very short with me and very rude! Acted like he was to good to go through the charges with someone and tried to push me to a 1800 number! The RV was busted up and definetly not cleaned at all! I wiped the floor once I got the RV home and it came up black and the bench seat had a layer of brown on it. Finally this place is terrible understaffed I waited 40 min to turn in my RV and that was after I had to go in and grad someone because no one was at those booths. Prolly not using the Carson location again
Great experience, with only one glitch: scheduled pickup at 1PM (called them the they before) I only was on the road at 3PM!!!Few details:- the RV was in general good shape - a little too noisy on the freeway- I bought zero risk insurance, so I cannot comment on how thoroughly they check the vehicle at the return- I also prepaid the tank dump service, great value for money if you are in a rush at return- returned with the same level of gas - zero problem- the staff was great, but, as mentioned, it took 2 hours for me to be on the road - that means I was on the road in the middle of the L.A. traffic....
Rented a small RV for the weekend to go to a softball tournament. Pick up and return were quick and without any issues. A few days after returned RV a get a call from CA in Carson about an item I had unaware left on the vehicle. It was a $300 softball bat, I picked up bat next day. Thank you Rose and the honest cleanup crew for returning item and taking the time to call me.
Honestly if you are on the fence about picking up a first time RV, Do it! Cruse America has everything you might need for a first time trip set with standard no hassle pricing and they associates are amazing!! Rose helped us through all the systems and settings and made sure we left with anything we might need.
I called in back in February and spoke to Bryan Tully about the possibility of purchasing an RV. It has been GREAT all around. On the phone we discussed my interests and what I needed to do with it. To start I was a bit unsure of size and options so Bryan invited me in to check the units out. It took a few weeks to get in but glad I did. The guy continued to listen to my needs and we were able to find a good fit. The other dealers I had talked too were a little pushy and were trying to get my business before I knew what I even wanted. Anyhow I bought a 30 footer, I have been traveling and living in it for 4 months and I couldnt be happier. Today felt like a great day to write this review. Bryan was super knowledgeable on all the details of each of the available RV units and continues to be a great resource of information as I continue on this adventure. Thanks Bryan!
I arrived at my appt time and was told i needed to wait bc the RV was not ready. I waited appx 2hrs. Turns out the brakes and rotors needed to be changed. Two hours seems like a long time to wait, but i was glad a thorough inspection of the RV. All the associates were apologetic for the wait, and kept me updated on the progress. In the end they allowed me more time to turn in the RV, which was a great trade off. Also i did not need to worry about refilling the propane. Long wait, but 5 Stars.
This review is for this particular location. We picked up an RV here for a 22 day journey. Mostly a quick and smooth process. Except we later realized they neglected to give us a bunch of stuff that we would need for the next 22 days!During the quick RV walk through I asked about a map and the guy said oh I forgot and ran back in to bring us a kit that included maps, a roll of toilet paper and some fluid for the black water tank.We thought that was it, until an hour later we remembered they never gave us the 2 picnic chairs we rented (already paid for). We were too far away to want to turn back so I called. They said they will refund us. 3 weeks later I still have not received the refund. We thought that was is, until later that day we realized they had also forgotten to give us a cutting board, a broom (and who knows that else) from the $100 kitchen kit we rented from them. We were told to buy those items and they will reimburse us. Inconvienent and again who knows how long it would take to get reimbursed. If you are picking up an RV on this site I recommend you go through and double check anything that you expect / paid for before you hit the road.
25 RV was clean at departure and appliances were working and tires were in good condition. The septic hose was missing its storage cover. The black water indicator sensor was not working, resulting in a near-disaster when the tank filled up. Vehicles should NEVER be sent out until that sensor is confirmed operational.
This jail-break COVID-19 family vacation was really fun - all 6 of us trekked about 5k miles over 12 days. Have always wanted to try an RV trip, but gas & mileage costs have been high until this Spring. We usually vacation in far-away places, but with the pandemic, decided this was the time to Cruise America in an RV. We rented the 30. RV was 2 model years old, with 62k miles. There were a few cosmetic issues - the counter top in the bathroom was stained, the head liner had a sag, and the back of the RV was dinged up. The lights which monitor the tanks were off - the black water gauge never read empty, even when we were hooked up to a septic tank. So we were a little concerned about that. We rented a couple of days before we departed for our journey - took a few hours to re-clean & sanitize the RV. And I mean sanitize, from ceiling to floor, took out all the cushions, wiped everything down with bleach and/or PineSol, then aired out the RV with a bucket of baking soda. The fridge & freezer are spacious - we stocked up on frozen foods & ice-cream. I brought the milk frother, electric tea kettle & coffee press & toaster. We used the microwave, but not the stove. The RV is super loud - lots of road noise. Recommend noise cancelling headphones for passengers. Bring warm blankets! The roof A/C blows cold, when you run it at night, you will freeze. Bring a bathmat for stepping on when you get out of the shower - the 12 step down is a bit treacherous. 10 out 10 for having a toilet & not having to stop much on our trip. It was great to just stop & sleep when we were tired. Way better than checking into a hotel late at night, unpacking a car, etc. - the T&A truck stops were safe, same with highway rest stops - some even have a septic to dump black & grey waste water. Our Customer Service experience at Carson CA Cruise America was a disappointment. We are first-time RVers, so we were excited & had a lot of questions - the guy helping us out was visibly annoyed & was clearly not enjoying his interaction with us. For example, when inspecting the RV, we found a broken lock on one of the under-RV storage doors - he was not happy that we asked to have it fixed before we took the RV, and seemed almost hostile at that point. Better customer service would be appreciated, especially for a customer who is dropping about 3K on a rental. The trip was 5 STARS, but -1 for poor customer service.
I rented the large RV from this location to Burning Man.. and once we started heading out to the desert we realize that the refrigerator doesnt work well. So we called the roadside assistance to see what they can do, and they told us to not open the refrigerator for 8 hrs till it will be cold.We kept driving to Burning man and also on the way we noticed that one of the key is broken for the trunk,we had to drive about 40 minutes out of our way to get a new key at Home Depot as they told us to do when we called them again about this problem.Once we finally arrived at burning man after 14 hrs drive. The refrigerator still didnt work.We bought food for 4 people for the next eight days from Costco(which cost 600$) and all the food went bad because of the refrigerator. We got stuck at the desert without food for the rest of our trip.Later on we also noticed that the AC doesnt work.So here we are in the middle of the desert without food and AC.One we returned the RV and complained the manager of this location about those problem, he didnt really care about. And told us that the best he can do is 50$ redound for the food. He just cared about the generator that we used and we need to pay for that even that the AC didnt work.We tried to work with him and get our money back after our trip has been destroyed because of those problems. He didnt wants to help and try to kick us out of his office as soon as he can.We paid 2700$ for a week for this RV that Cruise America doesnt even check it properly before they rent it to their customers. This is the second time Ive rented RV from them and had a problem with the RV. But this time it was Worst one!!!This manager shouldnt be working there if he cant handle this kind of problems. We are very disappointed and nobody to talk to about our situation.I wouldnt recommend anybody to rent RV from Cruise America.
We rented a C17 (Pick-Up) for 2 weeks in Los Angeles (Carson) which was in a rather bad condition. After a waiting time of more than an hour (The RV was not ready yet, although it was standing outside the whole time) we stated our concerns about the condition (Among other things it had chewing gum) and demanded a change. Unfortunately they totally sent us packing on that. Fine. (3rd time CM for me btw)During the trip, we counted over 10 (!) serious defects (fridge opened while driving, cabinet was broken, CO sensor went off without any reason). main door was missing a screw and was partly broken, taped airvents, city water connection was out of place using a bypass, battery was almost dead, tank levels were totally off, steps into the RV almost fell off, etc.) which we stated at the end of the trip during a short discussion with the manager. (Who took phone calls in between, what a character...) He acted more surprised than actually concerned about all the things and the condition of the car. Finally we asked for a refund which was not even half met.I strongly advise them to keep a better track about the conditions of their fleet and most importantely, listen to their customers from start to finish (!).Cruise America. Never again.
Retail location personnel were terrific however emergency serviices were unresponsive and took over a week to return call about a broken toilet valve. Fortunately I called Carson retail location and they connected me with a dealer near San Francisco. They fixed the problem in 20 minutes and we received a one day credit plus mileage. RV pretty basic but bed was comfortable and plenty of room for two people.. Handled ok on curvy coastal highways.
Rented a 25 feet RV online for two weeks in july from Carson L.A. Everything went smoothly - pick up and return was friendly and efficient. We got the additional deductables insurance - and nicked the windscreen, so that was ok. Only the RV was not squeaky clean upon take off. Thats the downside of letting the users do the cleaning. The vehicle use a lot of gas (4-5 km/l), and was quite noisy when driving - but the freedom is wonderful.
Couldnt have been easier.Picked a C25 to take down the coast.Arrived at our appointment time and less than 45 minutes we were on the road. The vehicle itself was exactly as to be expected if you spend a minute or 2 on the website.Returning the vehicle was just as painless and twice a quick. Was nice to get some cashback for unused miles too :)
Absolutely amazing 35 day rental. Honestly, there was not a thing which could have been better! We were given a reliable, safe, top-of-the-line vehicle and great support from the road to answer any questions that came up. Customer service at the counter was also very personable and professional, but both pick up and drop off were extremely busy, so be sure to plan accordingly.
Terrible experience with cruise america! We rented a RV this weekend that had moldy water in water tank. Contacted 24-7 hotline daily over 3 days. No one answers the phone. Terrible customer service! Absolutely will not use them again for our rental needs. We rented through cruise America at a rental location on Santa Rosa Ave. in Santa Rosa, Ca. Renter beware!!!
As a consumer and as a long-time worker in the service industry, this place blew me away with hospitality. I cannot express more the level of professionalism and efficiency that exists at this location. When we were there they were very busy, but didnt lead on that way and didnt treat us that way. Upon return it was the same hospitality. Definitely be back to use CruiseAmerica (this location is the only experience). Thanks guys.
It was my first experience driving, living and traveling in a RV and wow a great journey through about 3100 miles in 18 days! A huge car to drive on heavy traffic is something stressing. Despite that all the experience were very pleasant and i would do it again in a small scale!About the RV, I rented a 25 feet for 5 people, but traveled only with my sister. I think that 5 people couldn’t travel much comfortably because the 3rd, 4th and 5th place to seat aren’t so comfortable without head rest and cushions too soft. Maybe reasonable for shorter trips... the bathroom is too tight too.
2019 - 7 weeks ago: Our four weekss vacation booked with Cruise America started with a disaster. Pick-up was 3,5 hours late, staff quite stressed and unfriendly. We got our RV at 6 p.m. without water (water was eventually filled up) and gas. Explanation of the car lasted for max. 5min. What we did not want was to start our journey in the dark and that was what exactly happened. After having filled up gas we hit the Los Angeles Freeway in the dark driving in an unfamiliar huge vehicle with self-opening drawers and fast passing trucks we managed about 50 miles before we gave up and booked into a Motel 6 in Orange.Because of Cruise Americas misorganisation we had lost one day of our precious holidays. Though to be fair car return was o.k. and after our complaints we got an apology an a refund of $65.-Our old vehicle functioned quite well apart from the shock absorbers and the lack of information thats why we never found out where the heating could be turned on....The journey itself was wonderful.Generally, we would not recommend to book an RV with Cruise America because of bad service and mass processing.Brigitte&Heinz Stuiber, Austria.
We rented 3 large RVs for 3 nights from Carson Los Angeles, everything worked out fine. Big kudos & Thanks to Rose & Daisha for wonderful, professional and most pleasant service. 👍👏👏👏Cruise America RV Rental is the best and definitely earned our future RV rental business. I wish you guys have a group discount! Thanks Cruise America!.
Outstanding customer service! Rose especially was so friendly and accommodating, and really listened to us every time we came in. She went above and beyond to help us make sure our family vacation was truly wonderful. We had a sick family member with us and we will remember this special trip always.
Now being back I have to substantiate. So, here we go.We have to distinguish. First it ist Cruise America as a brand, as a company renting RV to tourists. Secondly it is the rental station which is a representant of the first.Cruise America in principle offers a good (American metric, our more direct German term would be acceptable/fair) value. We got an RV which had just some 47K miles which is not too much given that huge and beautiful country. The vehicle (C30) itself is some sort of impressive. Climbing 12% @ 70 mph is awesome. We had such an RV for the second time. Both times the interior walls in the lavatory were wavy and the toilet seat was loose. Doors of cupboards were closing but did no remain closed when being subjected to roads of CA/NV/AZ/UT. We had trouble to keep things in the closets. The floor walls in the entrance had apparently been damaged by boughs and had holes. It might appear that Im picky but if you are subjected to 18°F you want to have a tight RV. Together with artificial leather coated beds the comfort at night kind of suffered. Instead of renting blankets and pillows we went to IKEA and bought things needed for way less than the rental fee. Somewhere in the documentation I read that the battery can deliver energy to the heating vent for only some three hours which is way to less for a cold night. Now to the not very cheap kitchen kit (which was included in our package). The cooking equipment is near to inadequat. The handle of the tee pot broke the second day. If you want to cook for 5 (this time) or 7 (2017) people this is a real challenge. Forks, knifes, spoons, mugs were good. The tin opener got replaced by a 80ct variant from Walmart which worked better by orders of magnitude. Other things we had to buy.All-in-all I grant some 3 to 4 stars. Now the representant (L.A.):Admittedly we did not made an appointment by phone as written somewhere. We arrived at something past 1 p.m. and left with the R.V. at around 6 p.m. We got told many times that the RV will be ready within the some minutes which proved to be wrong (or as alternative facts). When we got presented the RV the exterior was clean to some extent (approx 70%) which we were willing to accept. After a final inspection of the agent in charge she began yelling in swearing because nobody cleaned the interior. This was 5:30 p.m. She drove back and she proved to be very agile an commited to clean the RV. Meanwhile other people left for the day and other were holding the waterhose towards another RV like he was watering flowers. In result we got a second set of cooking equipment which was forgotten in the RV which was good and helped a lot. The walls and the cockpit especially the dash was still dirt covered.I complained and got said the one of the male colleagues will take care. Long before the guy arrived the lady rectified the matter up some 99% when the guy and the manager came. The manager critizised the lady in a very rude manner pointing at some ridiculous remainders of the towel. This was really embarassing. Together with fact that Fridays are known to be very work intensive Id say a managers obligation would be to anticipate such situations and provide sufficient staff to do the cleaning to avoid inconvenience for customers. The delay we got took three days to recover and put lot of stress on us.Drop-off worked wellYou can have a great time if you know the pit-falls of pick-up and equipment. IKEA proved to be a good place to complement our stuff.
We hired a C19 compact RV for two weeks.Issues we had with our Campervan include:- Not clean at pick up. Food marks that were easily wiped off with cleaner and a cloth were on the table and benchtop. Onion skins in the drawers. Damp smell.- Water (minimal) would leak under the table and around the kitchen when the vehicle was both stationary and moving.- Black water LED indicators on the test panel would stay at 2/3rds full despite regular unloading. When we returned the vehicle we were told that sometimes that happens. It wouldve been nice to know this when we first picked up the vehicle as we were worried that it wasnt completely empty when we returned it.- Steering felt quite loose when driving - likely that wheel alignment is required.- Check engine light turned up on dashboard. On ringing Cruise America we were not to worry about it.- A few things did not function: ceiling light in driving cab, screws were coming loose in the bathroom, the bathroom mirror cabinet was so difficult to open it felt like you were almost breaking it each time it was opened, curtains up on each side of the double bed would not reach the velcro properly, causing privacy issues.- Side window by dining table would open with each journey, despite clicking it in each time- We felt a few essentials were missing even though we purchased the kitchen kit. For example, a chopping board, a bottle opener, scrubbing brush and wipe down cloth.- The low beam lights at night time were far too dim- The knob that determines either tap or shower water flow in the bathroom needs adjusting. Multiple times even when the adjustor was completely pushed down for sink function, water would dribble out of the shower head.- We were surprised to be told by a couple of campgrounds (Koa Constanoa and Bakersfield RV park) that it was California state law to have an airtight screw-in connector between the sewage tube and the hole for dumping black and grey water. We were not told this when we picked up the vehicle. We were, however, reimbursed by Cruise America, it just would have been nice to know of this before departing.- When we tried to discuss a few of these issues with the depot staff when dropping off the RV, we felt our concerns were disregarded.Overall it was an okay experience. We had a lovely holiday but felt the quality of the RV let us down at times. We would not recommend Cruise America RV rental to family or friends.Funnily enough when I tried to write this in the customer satisfaction survey emailed to me a few days ago, there was a character limit in the box - hence why this is now being put on Google review.
Took 2 hours to pick up the RV!!! This is unacceptable. I rent RVs all the time and Im in and out in 20 minutes. There was 1 guy processing 6 vehicles for 1pm pickup. The time I spent waiting for the vehicle cut into my rental time and the plans we had for our road trip had to be changed. Not renting from here ever again!
Overall rental experience was good - would recommend travelling by RV as its quite an experience. Staff at the LA depot are a little robotic and lack conversation but hey they deal with a large volume of customers if thats any excuse. We rented the C19 and loved it, would do again.
Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else but here. After, our terrible experience I have no clue how this place remains in business. Customer service was heinous. The RV gave us a plethora of problems. We tried to ask for help and they said help would take 3 days for help to arrive. In addition to this we were billed for the full amount which had to be disputed with our credit card company. Save yourself the headache. Please, please dont do business with this awful company.
The team is very busy, although they still attempt to maintain professionalism the pressure shows. We pre-ordered the kitchen equipment, that was a mistake, it was all cheap rubbish, the fry pan was basically a tin can cut in half and the handle fell of the kettle whilst full of boiling water. The plates and cups were not cleaned sufficiently.Camp chairs were not included although we paid for them. They did refund us for this in the end but was still annoying to go without. The fridge-freezer did not work first time round and we lost about $80 worth of food. After some experimenting we got it to work in gas mode whilst stationary and auto mode whilst on the move.I can normally forgive all this but ...When I arrived back in Australia I received a call that my Ipad was left on board. When trying to contact the team about getting this sent to me I have been told to arrange my own shipping from an international location.
We rented two motorhomes for two families and everything went smoothly at check-in and check-out. The motorhomes performed well over our 9 day trip and we had a great time visiting the National Parks in South California. It was an epic trip and Cruise America made it better.
Excellent service. Went a few minutes over the deadline for returning the unit, but they took care of me without extra charge. Really enjoyed the motorhome we rented from them. Also very close to several rental car locations, so its easy to transfer from a rental car to motorhome or back at the end of a trip.
Rented an RV for our animal desert trip, thought to would be more comfy than camping. I was wrong! The rental guy rushes me through the check out process and forgot to go over and check the RV put.First on the way there the truck drove horrible, pulled to the right and the engine had no power. I was floored up hills trying to maintain 50. Noticed the thing is really dirty, they dont do a good job cleaning at all!Got to the desert, where there is ZERO cell phone reception and we discovered the problems. The heater didnt work, it would sporadically spit some hot air at us. We were freezing! The fridge/freezer never works...cool 60 bucks work of meat ruined! The shower didnt work. The beds are jokes, I would have rather slept on a air mattress! Also dont trust the website, the RVs look 50 times nicer! Classic bait and switch!Last thing is these trucks are not maintained well! I barley trusted driving this thing 100 miles away. I couldnt imagine driving this thing any farther! All in all get hotels! Even the cheapest flea bag motel is better than these POS motorhomes.
We had a great vacation, I rented the RV for 5 nights and it was my first time in an RV. I drove it for 2,650 Km.Initially I had an issue while collecting my RV but after my complain to the manager everything went well, and in drop time I had no issue at all.I didnt need any assistant during my trip.
Very polite and professional service. Little disappointed with vehicle as grey and black water sensors were not accurate. Rented RV after peak season, could be related to this. Otherwise ran smoothly and gave loads of superb moments and memories.Thank you cruise America, will be seeing you again.
We rented 2 units from this place last week. Rose was EXCELLENT. Very helpful and efficient in getting us on our way quickly. The units worked great, and the trip was an absolute blast. I HIGHLY recommend this place and this company.(our trip was LA-Disneyland-Joshua Tree/jumbo boulder park-Las Vegas-Grand Canyon-Phoenix drop off.)
My friend and I had a BLAST!!!! Rose from Carson City took good care of us!! One thing would’ve been helpful: a visible checklist for the staff and for us customers to go over together on the day of departure (possibly another for arrival)1. Check tire pressure before leaving parking lot (our light came on 5 min after leaving the building)2. Check if all mirrors are working (passenger side window had a hard time adjusting)3. EtcAnother suggestion: add backup camerasAnyway, thank you!Satisfied customer,Mercedes Cruz
Unfortunatley many things on our two rv didnt work. Fresh water tank was leaking to the inside, propane tank was leaking, waste tank was leaking, one stove didnt work. And some corners were really dirty when we retrieved it in denver. But when we talked to another cruiseamerica customer we could be glad that at least the engine did work. That was why we didnt call for a new rv or repair. At least the people at return in LA excused and paid a taxi for us to getting back to our hotel.
Rose of Cruise America RV, 223rd East, L.A..Dennis and I thank you for your quick, friendly service.Best service on pick up and so quick on drop off. We nicknamed our 25ft motorhome, OZZIE.Did not let us down once. Even when we were marooned in Rapid City for 3 days. We got great service for a broken mirror in Baton Rouge through the Insurance Co of Cruise America RV. I would recommend ppl get full insurance. We had Ozzie 2 months and it cost less than $300 extra. Money well spent.
Had an okay experience with a week rental. The RVs are low quality - cheaply built for charter but was ample for our needs. I would recommend newer vehicles for better fuel economy, this RV (30 feet) runs at 2500-3000 RPM on the highway, with a more modern engine the MPG would be considerably better. Also, not having unlimited milage is a bummer. They charge 30 cents per mile after you hit 800 miles- this can get expensive for a week of driving.Getting someone on the phone is very hard! And after every option on the automated answering service (even sales!) I get sorry the voice mailbox is full. Now that is plain unprofessional. This is the main reason for the negative review.
WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!Never rent a car from here again. The front desk guy told me to wait for 20 minutes to sanitize the vehicle but it took more than one and half hour. I had to cancel it because I didn’t want to rent from such a rude company. They never apologize for what they did to me and didn’t refund the deposit fee.
Great vehicle. Excellent price for the rental. Terrible service at the Carson location. Called days before to confirm rental and reminded them we were going to Canada in winter so please winterise the van. Told us yep not a problem it will be sorted by the time you get here. Called the next day again just to confirm...no we didnt get a call yesterday about that but we promise we will get it done....Got there to find it hadnt been winterised. Promised us it was being done and would only take 15 mins. 3 hours and many promises later still hadnt been done.By this time the original service assistant had gone home and his replacement asked us why we hadnt bothered to call prior to pickup to notify them that it needed to be winterised.....seriously...After all this waiting we get under way 4 hours late to a diner in thousand oaks. The first minus temp we get to in Canada 1 and a half weeks later we find that apparently winterising means they just leave normal water in the washer bottle instead of putting winter washer fluid in. Half a days driving on Canadas super dangerous single lane highways with no washers and trucks passing and spraying up mud, slush and dirty water + hours of boiling pots of hot water to defrost the frozen washer bottle in minus 15 temps so we could replace with proper fluid sealed my feeling that asside from price you would never rent from Cruise America based on their appalling customer service.
This place was packed. We were waiting in line for 3 hours for our online reserved 25-footer. The inventory management system was horrifically bad - it involves the same guy going back and forth between the cleaning area in the back and the counter saying, “ok, how about this one? Oops also taken! Let me check the next one...”The staff members also jump around to help others. That’s good when you have more staff than customer, but not good when you have to drop what you are doing helping the current customer and be a helpful consultant to the other staff members helping people BEHIND us. What is the point of a reservation system AND a line then?Overall, my advice to the future customers is to go for another, less busy, center in the LA area.
Very unhappy with this company... the shower door and the generator were not working properly when the RV was rented. Not to mention 10, 000 dollars were taken FROM MY CARD as a bonus deposit (I had already given them a 2k deposit) on the second day of rental without letting me know. This is very unfair and nobody should deal with this kind of scamming and intimidation... the RV didnt have ANY damages worth 10k. The RV itself is not even work 10k.. AVOID THIS COMPANY
We rented an rv for 24 days and im Very disappointed with the service and vehicle we received. The shower drain had a clog and would back up when u took a shower. Where The waste hose connects to the waste line leaked so everytime we dumped the tanks sewage got every where.
My son Paul Denino and his friend Sam Pepper decided to rent a rv thru cruise americas rv rental service. 2 days into the trip Paul got charged $ 10,000 $ for absolutely no reason! When Paul asked what for they just said in case of damages. There was hardly any damages it was just the table was broken, and the fire extinguisher was broken! Paul only got refunded $ 6,000 back! What a joke of a company.
Overall a really great experience. Had to wait a little longer than I would have liked to be helped and to get everything going, but I think they were short staffed because of COVID. The folks who helped me were really friendly, patient and took the time to explain things.
It was my second time renting from Cruise America. I picked up my RV from the Carson station. The two employees Omar and Erick were super rude on both pick up and return. Especially return stating I have to pay the mileage when Mr Omar informed me that the rent is an unlimited mileage. Upon returning the RV. I step in while seeing Erick sitting watching TV. Then went on to start the return of the RV stating that I have to pay the mileage and that I dont have any choice. As well as being threatened by calling the Police. And try to use my card several times till it got blocked from my bank. Poor education and services. Watch out.
We received it clean but it wasnt deep cleaned. I moped the floor before using it and it was so filthy. The restroom walls looked clean but I used clorox wipes to wipe them down and they were disgustingly dirty. Other than that the rv ran great and everything worked. Just make sure tore-clean it yourself and use an entire can of disinfectant before loading your family.
I don’t know if my review even would matter but I waited over 2 hours even with an appointment time. My pick up time was 1:30pm but People here don’t really care about your appointment. They give out the RVs according to the customer’s traveling time and distinction. I wasted over 2hours in this place just sitting here on the bench. I would not recommend, I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Absolutely trash service. We were scheduled to pick up our rv at 2 and we didn’t leave till after 4. Terrible service and terrible customer service. We had to force them to start working on our rv because they were helping everyone else who came after us. Would not recommend unless you absolutely have to get an rv.
Ive rented a few RVs in my lifetime, and this is by far the worst RV rental company I have dealt with. My family and I began our vacation cruise only to find out on the 2nd day that the RV had several potentially dangerous issues and the company tried to say it was my fault. The company is very sketchy and I believe they scam many customers, I told them to speak to my lawyer and I wouldnt be paying for anything. They put me and my family members lives at risk giving us that faulty RV, so I threatened to press charges and the company stop bothering me
If I could give negative 5, I would. This is the most disrespectful, uncaring group of people. I understand that if a place closes at a certain time, the employees want to get out of there... however, how can anyone make a family with a toddler and a baby sit on the side of the street in the cold with all of their luggage and belongings just because the clock strikes 5pm. I am disgusted and will NEVER recommend this company because of this. Kindness goes a long way, and cruelness ruins reputations.
They was very rude, disrespectful, dishonest, and racis, and a rip off, the customer service was a zero, we was lied to said they didnt have any other campers on the lot and they did, after me and my family refuse to take a camper with ripped up seating dirty water coming out of the shower, charged for the generator when the generator runs off the gas that we put in ourself! If you dont want bad service really bad service I advise you not to go here! I give this place a zero!
Employee didnt tell us to fill in additional paperwork and just asked us to wait. After comfronting him with the error he made us wait for two hours instead of settling the error. First the reservations that came in later were handled. No other representatives would help us with the issue. So far for Customer service
Not a bad place but the RV we rented, the last users wet the bed (the kitchen table bed) and we didnt know it until we were hundreds of miles away from the rental office on our first night in the RV. I also feel that they should have gone through the RV when we turned it in, because we left a few items behind on accident.
Rip off at... Our rv wasnt clean when we got it, so it wasnt when we returned it, they charged us 50 $ for nothing. Hotline took several hours to reach, the only suggestion they had was find a store yourself buy tools and fix it... What a great service.... Unfriendly service and the manger was the worst.....
Worse experience ever ... tires blew out at the beginning and end of trip ... generator barely work kept going out ... rv was very dusty they do horrible job of cleaning everything seem to fall apart of you hit a bump ... waiting for help took hours ... told them about all the troubles told us stop in Dallas give them 3-4 hours to look at it which was no help cause we had to be back to return it in time ... our other part of family rented from Atlanta their tire also blew out took 3 hours for someone to come out
I called trying to get help with my RV and the operator and staff who answered was very rude and hung up on me for no reason and would not respond again. They are very unprofessional and very rude there do not go to this place and waste your money they will upset you very much. Trust me.Thank my name is Gabriel

2022-01-10I rented the compact plus. It was clean, easy to drive, and had lots of storage. The check in process was quick and easy. Same for returning the vehicle. They’re located on an industrial road so there’s not a lot of street parking for your personal vehicle. We got there Monday afternoon & luckily found a spot. When we returned, there were no issues with our car.The entire staff was super nice. This was my 1st time renting from them but Ill definitely be a returning client.

2021-02-04Customer service rep was efficient on site. However, I was disappointed with the vehicle we were assigned. The outer appearance was unwashed, it had dirt splatters near the tire area, the windshield was dirty, and there were various dents and cosmetic issues around the vehicle. Once inside, the cleanliness was no better. The table was still smudged, the walls throughout had what either remains of oil smudges from cooking inside the vehicle or something else. The matress seemed dingy and old and overall did not seem as if it was cleaned by any standards pertaining to Covid guidelines. I had to clean and disinfect the interior myself. My hope is that the engine has been cared utilizing better care and that we dont break down on the road. Im left to wonder if we were given a subpar vehicle because we had rented for a one way trip. Either way, Im never renting with this company again. I will be providing interior pics in a formal complaint to their corporate offices following this review

2022-01-24Expensive and mediocre. We had many faults with our RV which we only discovered when parking up for the first night far from civilisation. No sensible solution offered by the company, so we wasted half a day getting things fixed at our own expense. On return no refund was offered other than reimbursing for repairs.

2022-03-11Rose was very curtious and helped getting all of the extra items we had requested into the RV.I was not aware of a important change that Cruise America had made under the pretence of Covid 19. There was no chemical tablet for the black water tank or the toilet paper normally provided to avoid clogging the tank. There was also a blown fuse for the cooktop ignitor and someone put a small box of matches in the cook top. Problem there was that fuse also ran the cooktop fan and light. Since we were at Auto Club Speedway when we discovered the problem it wasnt easy to find someone with a fuse to replace it.Lastly there was this annoying light between the visors that only went off when the RV was turned off and even then it took minutes.

2022-05-08Rented the large unit for a small localish festival. Unit was super clean and ready to go on time. Staff was super friendly and attentive. Unit had awesome interior space and huge storage space underneath. Very important for us as we were using it as a truck for our art as well as to stay in on site.Only problems we had was that the coach batteries did not hold a charge as long as they should. We are very experienced RVers so we know that leaving one light on shouldnt drain the battery so low that the gennie wouldnt start. Fortunately we know we can get around that by starting the engine to start the gennie and then charge the coach batteries. Other thing was passenger side mirror came loose so we had to drive in right lane bc couldnt tell if car was on our right. When we got back and told staff, they were great and waived a late return fee for our trouble. High quality product. Thanks!

2020-09-24Overall we had a great experience renting from Cruise America in Carson for our socially distanced trip. The vehicle was in excellent condition and the staff did a nice job of walking us through how to use it since it was the first time we were using an RV. The pick up process took a little long because the first vehicle they had set for us had an issue with the fridge so they had to rush and get a different one ready. We had planned pick up for the day before we were leaving so we had some time built into the process and we also came home the night before we had to return the vehicle so we weren’t rushed. While this adds extra days of rental and cost, I highly recommend it because it makes it less stressful to get the RV packed/unpacked and get on the road. I think they might be a little understaffed at the Carson location but the staff that we’re there we’re friendly, informed and accommodating.

2019-01-15Beautiful experience, friendly staff on return, a little less to pick up!the saleswoman at the campers withdrawal despite my requests to speak more slowly (Im Italian) looked at me shrugging and not slowing down, and once the briefing was finished she returned to the office without even specifying now you can go and we consequently have waited an hour for someone to tell us something, then go and ask and be told sure what are you still doing there?

2020-11-24We had a very emotional move from California to Davenport Iowa. My daughters family bought a home and we needed to get 3 kids, 2 dogs and a cat across the US to their new home but how?Cruise America! That’s how! Super awesome way to travel with a group like we had. 5 nights of KOA Camping (also awesome!) and 6 days of memories traveling across the US. We traveled in comfort and had a blast! Thank you Cruise America!!

2020-06-23Horrible!Saved for a whole year to rent this RV.Got a very old banged up vehicle with multiple issues, everything was broken and rusty. Shelves and stowage are way due to be replace. Got lacerated from a broken unlached door.Sky windows dripping on the beds and toilet when its raining. Horrible propane smell all time - regardless of location and elevation. We asked to replace our vehicle due to the propane leak and heatd managers response to a technician : fix it or not - Im not changing their vehicle. For testing the technician used up ¼ of the propane. We left after they told us nothing left for us to do - its normal operation of the vehicle. I saw they couldnt care less and we left.Upon returning of the RV, we asked to fix the issues so the next travellers wont suffer as we did. We were assured that ISSUES WILL BE FIXED.As we were leaving the dealership we saw our RV sparkling clean and ready for its next victims. Please stay away!
